The author reflects on the functions and educational values of museum and its influence on the intelligence of students and suggested ways of developing them. The museum aids a student by enlarging his acquaintance with the nature of materials through sense and personal contact. These broaden his conceptions of relations, meanings uses, and developing possibilities of materials. His conceptions of human capabilities also widens through exhibition of materials that represented human skill and intelligence. The article also suggests ways of growing collections of school museums, such as through student collection, purchase, donations or by curator collection exchange.

The article discusses the importance of field work in elementary education. The author argues that interrelation of the children with their natural and social environment is an important part of their educational process . Subjects of study in field work is given such as topography, physiography and vegetation. An outline of preparation for teaching in field study is also given. He also suggests that field work for kindergarten and primary grades should also be done such as visits to various types of areas in the region. The author implies that curiosity and desire for learning of children are manifested when they are experiencing the outdoors and schools need to promote field work to strengthen the contact of students with his environment.
