Based on measurements and research, diagnostics of the condition of a structure aims to provide an answer to the question of what the condition of the structure is, and the necessary steps for reconstruction or rehabilitation. Masonry stone construction is one of the oldest methods of construction of building structures. In spite of that, this type of structures does not have fully defined parameters that influence its behavior. The reason for this is the fact that the properties of masonry stone structures differ depending on the basic material (stone) and binding material (mortar), as well as their combination. The paper presents diagnostics of the condition of masonry structures on the Tabija tower building. Tabija, a low tower for cannons, is a fortification structure from the Ottoman period that is the most completely preserved and was registered for the first time in the city plan from 1717. The structure is in poor condition due to a large number of natural and human factors. The paper will present a detailed visual inspection of the structure, as well as tests conducted in the laboratory and in-situ, the calculation, and decisions and proposals for the rehabilitation and/or reconstruction of the considered building of cultural and historical heritage. This paper presents the freshwater limestones, from tenelija and (Mostar) miljevina, which are intercalated in the Mukoša deposit near Mostar, and their "stone cousins," Posušje miljevina and Tomislavgrad muljika. In the process of diagenesis they acquired a specific orientation and structure (especially tenelija), which gave them specific physical properties (small bulk density, high porosity and permeability), which "classic" limestones used in construction do not have, and which were decisive for the choice of this stone for construction of the Old Bridge and other buildings in the wider area of Mostar and in the area of Posušje municipality, but also in other karst poljes of Herzegovina and southwestern Bosnia, in parts of Central Bosnia, and Miljevina near Foča. The second part of the paper presents the so-called built-in (internal) factors that the builders try to avoid in order for freshwater limestones that are built into numerous stone buildings and/or monuments to avoid complex processes of stone changes, or weathering (decay) of stone due to its interaction with various environmental conditions (external factors). It covers the problems and significance of the choice of stone, the method and (often too small) depth of its extraction from the deposit for the construction of significant buildings, insufficiently long aging (storage) after extraction, incorrect installation (stacking) of the stone in relation to its position in the deposit, as well as various errors in stone processing and execution, along with inadequate maintenance. Many roundabout capacity models are present in the world and they are classified into three key groups: empirical models, theoretical models, and microscopic simulation models. In Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, there is no roundabout capacity model prescribed by a rulebook. Theoretical capacity models are derived from gap acceptance theory. Due to some deficiencies of gap acceptance theory, Brilon and Wu introduce a new concept for analyzing the capacity of unsignalized intersections, and thereby of roundabouts too, based on conflict theory and queuing theory. This paper analyzes three roundabout capacity models most commonly used in the world (HCM, Akcelik, Brilon-Wu), with different theoretical backgrounds, in order to compare them with directly measured capacity in the field in local conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and thus to see the differences in application results. The first part of the survey covers the history of the Austro-Hungarian "Air Base", "Aviation Park no. 4" and "Reserve Squadron 11", which were stationed in Mostar between 1913 and 1918. The airfield of Mostar-Rodoč, evaluated as early as in 1912, was one of the oldest in the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. The Imperial and Royal Army Air Service used it for basic pilot training in World War I. The second part is an expertise for the salvage, conservation and restoration of the four still existing Austro-Hungarian hangars at the former Mostar-Rodoč airfield in view of protection of historical monuments. Erected in 1917/18, these hangars are the oldest witnesses of aviation in Bosnia and Hercegovina. Because of their genuine and very efficient construction, they should be preserved as unique examples of technical and engineering architecture. One hangar of exactly the same type, restored in 2013 in Krakow, is now part of Poland's cultural heritage. Structural calculations have shown that these Austro-Hungarian hangars comply with modern EU building regulations. All used documents and plans from the Austrian State Archives/War Archives (ÖStA/KA) in Vienna are still unpublished. Due to their characteristic appearance and complexity of materials used for their construction, masonry arch bridges are still the subject of experimental and numerical analyses. One of the characteristic examples of this type of structures is the Old Bridge in Mostar that, along with the bridge location, has been under UNESCO protection since 2005. It is exactly this symbol of the town residing on the Neretva River that has been selected as the basis for analysis of behavior of masonry arch bridges and their structural elements. This paper will present the results of the quasi-static tests on connection elements carried out on models of arch segments of the Old Bridge at the scale of 1: 3 as well as the results of the shaking table tests of the behavior of the physical model of the Old Bridge scaled to 1:9 under different levels of seismic excitation. The models were built by application of real connection elements between stone elements - cramps, dowels and liquid lead. Definition of bearing capacity and mode of deterioration of the connection elements of the tested segments as well as definition of the failure mechanisms of the bridge model are the main tasks of the performed experimental investigations. The aim of the paper is to justify the construction of alternative roundabouts in the city of Mostar for the purpose of urban sustainability and by satisfying criteria. Namely, in urban environments, due to the limited space available, it is often necessary to investigate the possibility of applying non-standard solutions that can satisfy all the necessary criteria. The paper presents the investigation taken on Old Bridge in Mostar. In order to get cognitions about the seismic stability of the bridge, experimental testing was done by the ambient vibration method to define dynamic characteristics - own frequencies, mode shapes and damping coefficients. Numerical analysis of the bridge was done in Tower 3D program package at which different cases of overloads were taken in consideration. Comparing results and dynamical characteristics of the bridge obtained by experimental investigation with performed analysis of the mathematical model of the bridge we can see the compatibility. Regulation Plan for the historic town area of Mostar includes major aspects of preservation and development of historic town zones. Provisions of the Regulation Plan pertain to use of land and buildings, aiming to preserve and revive the traditional uses and protect the natural characteristics of the area [8]. In this respect, the historic area of the town of Mostar has been divided into ten zones according to the use of land and structures, and Zone 8 covers Neretva as a protected riverside zone. The study aimed to define causes and state of weathering, damage and stability of rocks, then to define the existing state in terms of geological structure, and visit the most critical sections that require improvement. In this article, the authors focus on a study related to the physical, mechanical and petrographic properties of "Tenelija" and "miljevina" stones. They state that the stones have been used as architectural stones in Mostar, Bosnia and Hercegovina throughout the periods of the Ottoman empire in Turkey and Austro-Hungarian rule from 1867-1918. They mention that the stones are finegrained limestones from Mukoša, south of Mostar.
