Abstract

The authors discuss the challenges and opportunities associated to the adoption of teleaudiology program in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). They highlight four models of telemedicine practice including synchronous/real-time data collection, remote monitoring, and mobile health. They examine the trends that contribute to the growth in teleaudiology and the opportunity that the technology provides to audiologists and other healthcare providers.
