The article explores the Washington Library Association community continues to inspire me as library staff and libraries navigate the ongoing challenges of COVID. We had planned to come together and make connections at our WLA conference in Bellevue, but that wasn't able to happen. Many conversations were had with the conference committee, WLA executive team, and WLA leadership.

The article presents Reenergizing and Reconnecting, which includes keeping open communication and being open about the impacts of the pandemic on work at the library and in our lives has been helpful in strengthening the team. This also keeps us motivated for when we come out the other side stronger and better equipped to be creative and energized serving our patrons and our community.

In this article, the author presents her views on role of libraries to providing virtual services and are even increasing engagement with their patrons. Topics discussed include planning and implementation of safety measures by libraries associated with a safe reopening for staff, patrons, and students; focus to supporting teachers with virtual curriculum and remote education; and focus on equity, diversity, and inclusion and supporting library workers.
