Objective Most both‐column acetabular fractures are combined with posterior wall fragments. However, the morphology of this posterior wall is varied, and how to fix this posterior wall remains a controversial topic. To investigate the morphological characteristics of posterior wall fragments of both‐column acetabular fractures and select corresponding fixation methods. Methods Data from 352 patients with acetabular fractures admitted to the level one trauma centre in our hospital between January 2006 and December 2022 were collected. The morphology of posterior wall fragments was observed and analyzed in 83 cases of both‐column acetabular fractures and classified according to the consistency of posterior wall morphology. A fracture map of the posterior wall was created on a normal template according to the three morphological types of posterior wall fragments. Finally, the high‐incidence area of the posterior wall fracture was projected onto the iliac fossa and the medial side of the posterior column to guide the fixation of the posterior wall fragment using the anterior intrapelvic approach. Results Fractures were divided into four types: I, large posterior wall fragment which was high in the ilium bone (34 cases, 41.0%); II, posterior wall fragment in the acetabular parietal region (18 cases, 21.7%); III, posterior wall marginal fracture (10 cases, 12.0%); and IV, non‐combined posterior wall fracture (21 cases, 25.3%). The most common morphologies of the posterior wall fragments of the first two types were mapped and projected onto the anterior iliac inner plate and medial side of the posterior column, where the corresponding area could be used to guide the insertion of the internal fixation. Conclusion Both‐column acetabular fractures combined with posterior wall fractures can be divided into four types according to the morphology of the posterior wall fragment. Understanding the corresponding three‐dimensional morphology and projection position of different types of these fragments can help surgeons determine the position and orientation of internal fixation of posterior wall fractures.

Abstract The increasing incidence of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) worldwide poses serious social and family problems. Various risk factors for ASD are gradually being recognized, and there are also various options for the treatment of ASD. It is worth noting that dietary interventions have been shown to have a positive effect in terms of mitigating and preventing some psychiatric disorders, such as epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, and ASD, and they are gradually receiving attention as a safe adjuvant treatment. In this review, based on the current understanding of the pathogenic factors and intervention strategies for ASD, different dietary patterns that can be selected for children with ASD are discussed in depth. Moreover, a review was conducted on the use of dietary factors, such as natural products from food sources, prebiotics, and probiotics, as effective supplements to existing dietary patterns. As increasing evidence shows that maternal risk factors, such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension, are associated with an increased risk of ASD in offspring, dietary suggestions are also made for pregnant woman with ASD‐related risk factors to counteract the impact of these risk factors. With compensation from food‐derived natural products, prebiotics, and probiotics, suitable dietary patterns can further enhance the effectiveness of dietary interventions for ASD. In addition, dietary recommendations for pregnant woman may reduce the potential impact of obesity, diabetes, and hypertension and may help to prevent the occurrence of ASD to the maximum extent possible.

Abstract In recent years, intelligent robots are extensively applied in the field of the industry and intelligent rehabilitation, wherein the human‐robot interaction (HRI) control strategy is a momentous part that needs to be ameliorated. Specially, the efficacy and robustness of the HRI control algorithm in the presence of unknown external disturbances deserve to be addressed. To deal with these urgent issues, in this study, artificial systems, computational experiments and a parallel execution intelligent control framework are constructed for the HRI control. The upper limb‐robotic exoskeleton system is re‐modelled as an artificial system. Depending on surface electromyogram‐based subject's active motion intention in the practical system, a non‐convex function activated anti‐disturbance zeroing neurodynamic (NC‐ADZND) controller is devised in the artificial system for parallel interaction and HRI control with the practical system. Furthermore, the linear activation function‐based zeroing neurodynamic (LAF‐ZND) controller and proportional‐derivative (posterior deltoid (PD)) controller are presented and compared. Theoretical results substantiate the global convergence and robustness of the proposed controller in the presence of different external disturbances. In addition, the simulation results verify that the NC‐ADZND controller is better than the LAF‐ZND and the PD controllers in respect of convergence order and anti‐disturbance characteristics.

Abstract Polyethers play a crucial role in the development of anticancer drugs. To enhance the anticancer efficacy and reduce the toxicity of these compounds, thereby advancing their application in cancer treatment, herein, guided by the structure‐activity relationships of aglycone polyethers, novel aglycone polyethers are rationally redesigned with potentially improved efficacy and reduced toxicity against tumors. To realize the biosynthesis of the novel aglycone polyethers, the gene clusters and the post‐polyketide synthase tailoring pathways for aglycone polyethers endusamycin and lenoremycin are identified and subjected to combinatorial biosynthesis studies, resulting in the creation of a novel aglycone polyether termed End‐16, which demonstrates significant potential for treating bladder cancer (BLCA). End‐16 demonstrates the ability to suppress the proliferation, migration, invasion, and cellular protrusions formation of BLCA cells, as well as induce cell cycle arrest in the G1 phase in vitro. Notably, End‐16 exhibits superior inhibitory activity and fewer side effects against BLCA compared to the frontline anti‐BLCA drug cisplatin in vivo, thereby warranting further preclinical studies. This study highlights the significant potential of integrating combinatorial biosynthesis strategies with rational design to create unnatural products with enhanced pharmacological properties.

Abstract The mechanism involved in major depressive disorder (MDD) is well‐studied but the mechanistic origin of the heterogeneous antidepressant effect remains largely unknown. Single‐cell RNA‐sequencing (scRNA‐seq) and assay for transposase‐accessible chromatin using sequencing (ATAC‐seq) on peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 8 healthy individuals and 8 MDD patients before or after 12 weeks of antidepressant treatment is performed. scRNA‐seq analysis reveals a lower proportion of naive T cells, particularly CD4+ naive T cells, in MDD patients compared to controls, and in nonresponders versus responders at the baseline. Flow cytometry data analysis of an independent cohort of 35 patients and 40 healthy individuals confirms the findings. Enrichment analysis of differentially expressed genes indicated obvious immune activation in responders. A specific activated CD4+ naive T population in responders characterized by enhanced mitogen‐activated protein kinases (MAPK) pathway is identified. E‐twenty six (ETS) is proposed as an upstream regulator of the MAPK pathway and heterogeneous differentiation in activated CD4+ naive T population is associated with the response to antidepressant treatment in MDD patients. A distinct immune feature manifested by CD4+ naive T cells during antidepressant treatment in MDD is identified. Collectively, this proposes the molecular mechanism that underlies the heterogeneous antidepressant outcomes for MDD.

Abstract Wilms tumor‐1(WT1) is a crucial transcription factor that regulates podocyte development. However, the epigenomic mechanism underlying the function of WT1 during podocyte development has yet to be fully elucidated. Here, single‐cell chromatin accessibility and gene expression maps of foetal kidneys and kidney organoids are generated. Functional implications of WT1‐targeted genes, which are crucial for the development of podocytes and the maintenance of their structure, including BMPER/PAX2/MAGI2 that regulates WNT signaling pathway, MYH9 that maintains actin filament organization and NPHS1 that modulates cell junction assembly are identified. To further illustrate the functional importance of WT1‐mediated transcriptional regulation during podocyte development, cultured and implanted patient‐derived kidney organoids derived from the Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (iPSCs) of a patient with a heterozygous missense mutation in WT1 are generated. Results from single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) and functional assays confirm that the WT1 mutation leads to delays in podocyte development and causes damage to cell structures, due to its failure to activate the targeting genes MAGI2, MYH9, and NPHS1. Notably, correcting the mutation in the patient iPSCs using CRISPR‐Cas9 gene editing rescues the podocyte phenotype. Collectively, this work elucidates the WT1‐related epigenomic landscape with respect to human podocyte development and identifies the disease‐causing role of a WT1 mutation.

Abstract Prussian blue analogs (PBAs) are considered as one of the most potential electrode materials in capacitive deionization (CDI) due to their unique 3D framework structure. However, their practical applications suffer from low desalination capacity and poor cyclic stability. Here, an entropy engineering strategy is proposed that incorporates high‐entropy (HE) concept into PBAs to address the unfavorable multistage phase transitions during CDI desalination. By introducing five or more metals, which share N coordination site, high‐entropy hexacyanoferrate (HE‐HCF) is constructed, thereby increasing the configurational entropy of the system to above 1.5R and placing it into the high‐entropy category. As a result, the developed HE‐HCF demonstrates remarkable cycling performance, with a capacity retention rate of over 97% after undergoing 350 ultralong‐life cycles of adsorption/desorption. Additionally, it exhibits a high desalination capacity of 77.24 mg g−1 at 1.2 V. Structural characterization and theoretical calculation reveal that high configurational entropy not only helps to restrain phase transition and strengthen structural stability, but also optimizes Na+ ions diffusion path and energy barrier, accelerates reaction kinetics and thus improves performance. This research introduces a new approach for designing electrodes with high performance, low cost, and long‐lasting durability for capacitive deionization applications.

Abstract Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a heterogeneous disease and one of the most prevalent malignancies worldwide. Previous research has indicated that phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN)‐related genes found in CRC may serve as potential biomarkers for individualized treatment options. The present study aimed to examine the association between PTEN‐related genes and the prognosis of CRC patients by evaluating the significance of PTEN‐related hub genes and determining potential mechanisms and genes associated with them. Gene expression profiles and clinical information were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. At present, PTEN mutations have been identified in 7% of CRC patients, according to the most recent TCGA data. Differential expression analysis revealed 54 genes as differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between PTEN‐related genes and GEO databases (GSE39582 and GSE6263). Further gene ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses were conducted on PTEN‐related DEGs. The prognostic efficacy of the PTEN‐related DEG signature was assessed using Kaplan–Meier survival and receiver operating characteristic curve analyses. Bioinformatics methods were utilized to analyze the correlation between PTEN‐related DEGs and CRC prognosis, survival, and drug efficacy. Through these analyses, eight prognostic‐related PTEN‐related hub genes (PPARGC1A, NTRK2, ANK2, PLCB4, STC2, PLAU, CDKN1A, and HPGDS) were identified and a risk prognosis model was constructed. Notably, NTRK2 and HPGDS were found to affect drug treatment response in CRC. Targeting these prognostic‐related PTEN‐related hub genes can regulate cell death signaling, which may benefit the prognosis of CRC patients and improve drug sensitivity.

Abstract An accurate understanding of the heat transfer of water through rock fractures is essential for the extraction and utilization of thermal energy from high‐temperature rock masses. A systematic numerical simulation based on the double‐rough‐walled model has been presented to investigate the shear effect on convective heat transfer in rough rock fractures. On the basis of the modified successive random additions algorithm, four different self‐affine surfaces were generated and utilized to establish the 3D double‐rough‐walled fracture models. The fluid flow and heat transfer were simulated by directly solving the Navier–Stokes equation and energy conservation equation, respectively. The combined effects of shear and surface roughness on the heat transfer were investigated. The results show that the heat within rough‐walled fractures transfers preferentially along the main fluid flow channels, and the areas of fast and slow thermal transmission fit well with the high‐ and low‐flow regions, respectively. As shear advances, the heat transfer coefficient firstly increases, then decreases slightly and finally stabilizes within a certain range, in which stabilization occurs earlier in fracture with a larger joint roughness coefficient. The effect of surface roughness on heat transfer shows an opposite trend during shearing. When the shear displacement is small, the enhancement effect of surface roughness that provides larger heat transfer areas dominates the heat transfer. As shear displacement continues to increase, this enhancement effect will be gradually weakened until the decreasing effect that bumps on the rough‐walled surface hinder the fluid flow dominates the heat transfer.

Abstract The adjustable structures and remarkable physicochemical properties of 2D monoelemental materials, such as silicene and germanene, have attracted significant attention in recent years. They can be transformed into silicane (SiH) and germanane (GeH) through covalent functionalization via hydrogen atom termination. However, synthesizing these materials with a scalable and low‐cost fabrication process to achieve high‐quality 2D SiH and GeH poses challenges. Herein, groundbreaking 2D SiH and GeH materials with varying compositions, specifically Si0.25Ge0.75H, Si0.50Ge0.50H, and Si0.75Ge0.25H, are prepared through a simple and efficient chemical exfoliation of their Zintl phases. These 2D materials offer significant advantages, including their large surface area, high mechanical flexibility, rapid electron mobility, and defect‐rich loose‐layered structures. Among these compositions, the Si0.50Ge0.50H electrode demonstrates the highest discharge capacity, reaching up to 1059 mAh g−1 after 60 cycles at a current density of 75 mA g−1. A comprehensive ex‐situ electrochemical analysis is conducted to investigate the reaction mechanisms of lithiation/delithiation in Si0.50Ge0.50H. Subsequently, an initial assessment of the c‐Li15(SixGe1‐x)4 phase after lithiation and the a‐Si0.50Ge0.50 phase after delithiation is presented. Hence, this study contributes crucial insights into the (de)lithiation reaction mechanisms within germanane‐silicane alloys. Such understanding is pivotal for mastering promising materials that amalgamate the finest properties of silicon and germanium.

Abstract Intratumor heterogeneity (ITH) of bladder cancer (BLCA) contributes to therapy resistance and immune evasion affecting clinical prognosis. The molecular and cellular mechanisms contributing to BLCA ITH generation remain elusive. It is found that a TM4SF1‐positive cancer subpopulation (TPCS) can generate ITH in BLCA, evidenced by integrative single cell atlas analysis. Extensive profiling of the epigenome and transcriptome of all stages of BLCA revealed their evolutionary trajectories. Distinct ancestor cells gave rise to low‐grade noninvasive and high‐grade invasive BLCA. Epigenome reprograming led to transcriptional heterogeneity in BLCA. During early oncogenesis, epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition generated TPCS. TPCS has stem‐cell‐like properties and exhibited transcriptional plasticity, priming the development of transcriptionally heterogeneous descendent cell lineages. Moreover, TPCS prevalence in tumor is associated with advanced stage cancer and poor prognosis. The results of this study suggested that bladder cancer interacts with its environment by acquiring a stem cell‐like epigenomic landscape, which might generate ITH without additional genetic diversification.

Abstract Objective To observe the expression of inflammatory factors and autophagy‐related proteins in granulation tissue of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) patients and analyze their relationship with infection. Methods This is a retrospective cohort study. One hundred and fifty‐two patients with DFU in our hospital from July 2020 to March 2022 were selected as the DFU group, including 98 cases in infection stage group and 54 cases in infection control group. The patients were further graded as the mild (51 cases), the moderate (65 cases), and the severe infection group (36 cases) according to the Wagner grading criteria. Sixty‐seven patients with foot burns during the same period were selected as the control group. The distribution of pathogenic bacteria on the ulcer surface was examined using fully automated bacterial analyzer. The expression of inflammatory factors (procalcitonin [PCT], tumor necrosis factor‐α [TNF‐α], and interleukin‐6 [IL‐6]) was valued by real‐time fluorescence quantitative PCR (qRT‐PCR). Protein expression was measured by immunohistochemistry (IHC). The correlation was analyzed by Pearson. Results The surface infection of DFU patients was mostly induced by gram‐negative and gram‐positive bacteria, with Pseudomonas aeruginosa predominating among the Gram‐negative bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus among the gram‐positive bacteria. Abstract The neutral point of the distribution network is grounded with low resistance, which can quickly remove single‐phase grounding fault and effectively suppress overvoltage. However, the existing zero‐sequence overcurrent protection has a high setting value. In the case of large fault resistance and weak fault current, the existing protection methods may refuse to operate. Based on the waveform characteristics of the zero‐sequence current of each outgoing line in the distribution network, this article proposes a new method for single‐phase high resistance grounding fault protection in low resistance grounded distribution network, which combines cosine distance and improved K‐means algorithm. First, the cosine distance between zero‐sequence current of every two outgoing lines is obtained, and the cosine distance matrix used to describe the fault characteristics is constructed. Then the improved K‐means algorithm is used to cluster the row vectors of the cosine distance matrix to obtain the convergent cluster center and cluster label, so that the fault line can be determined. This protection method does not need to set the threshold value manually, and has strong ability to handle large fault resistance. It can effectively deal with noise interference and intermittent arc grounding fault, and still has good adaptability in scenarios such as change of fault initial phase angle, change of fault location, access of distributed generations and occurrence of two outgoing lines in phase to grounding fault. Finally, a model is built, and the effectiveness of the proposed method is proved by the simulation of grounding fault.

Abstract Non‐invasive, real‐time, dynamic, and quantitative molecular imaging has been developed to facilitate disease diagnosis, drug development, and pathological analysis at the molecular level. Qualitative and quantitative analysis and imaging of physiological processes at the molecular level can be achieved with advanced molecular imaging by employing imaging contrast agents in combination with traditional imaging modalities, such as optical imaging, ultrasound imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, single‐photon emission computed tomography, and positron emission tomography. With the aid of molecular imaging, absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and other processes of drugs in various animals can be monitored quantitatively, and in vivo pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics can be simulated before clinical trials, which significantly shorten the period for drug development and reduce the number of animals participating in various tests. Here, the role of molecular imaging in drug target validation, drug screening, drug sensitivity analysis, pharmacokinetics research, drug efficacy evaluation, and other processes of chemical and biological drug research and development is summarized. Molecular imaging has become a powerful and effective tool in the research and development of various drugs for the treatment of a variety of diseases. Advanced molecular imaging can provide important support for disease and drug research, which will accelerate drug discovery and development.

Abstract The peak regulation capacity of gas‐fired power plants has always been an important flexibility resource of the power grid. Under the guidance of carbon emission reduction, the coal power units are gradually shut down, making the role of gas‐fired power plants more important. However, in practice, gas‐fired power plants often fail to show satisfactory flexibility. The main reasons are as follows: (1) Part of the capacity mechanism fails to effectively encourage gas‐fired power plants to provide reliable flexibility and (2) the unreliability of fuel supply for gas‐fired power plants. Aiming at these problems, the current capacity mechanism in different countries is first summarised and the applicability of the capacity mechanism for gas‐fired power plants under the government regulation and market‐oriented environment is analysed, respectively. Then, the characteristics of power dispatching and gas dispatching are analysed to explore the internal reasons for the unreliable fuel supply in gas‐fired power plants. Based on the above analysis, the gas‐electric coordination mechanism adapted to different development stages is proposed to solve the problem that the flexibility of gas‐fired power plants cannot be guaranteed. In summary, through the research of this study, it is found that the main reason for the limited flexibility of gas‐fired power plants is the lack of coordination among multiple entities belonging to different energy systems, such as electricity and gas. The cooperation mechanism proposed is an attempt to realise the cooperation between the electric system and the gas system, which provides the reference for closer collaboration among multiple energy systems in the future.

Abstract Background Although multiple measures of blood pressure variability (BPV) have been proposed, whether they are better than mean blood pressure in predicting target organs is unclear. We aimed to determine the relationship between short term BPV and target organ injury. Methods This study was a retrospective study, and 635 inpatients in the Department of Cardiology from 2015 to 2020 were selected. We divided participants into four groups on the basis of the quartiles of BPV. One‐way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences between the groups, and linear regression was used to analyze the relationship between BPV and target organ damage. Results The average age of 635 patients was 74.36 ± 6.50 years old. Among them, 354 of 627 patients had diminished renal function (56.5%), 221of 604 patients had associated left ventricular hypertrophy (36.6%), and 227 of 231 patients had carotid plaque formation (98.3%). The baseline data indicated significant differences in fasting glucose, total cholesterol, low‐density lipoprotein, creatinine, glomerular filtration rate, sex, calcium channel blocker use, and the rate of diminished renal function. Abstract Engineering experience shows that for transformers with long service life and serious moisture exposure, the inter‐turn paper insulation inside the winding will precipitate bubbles under the condition of electric field and conductor heating, which will endanger the equipment insulation. In order to explore the influence factors of bubbles formation in the moist insulating paper of transformers, based on the existing research on the influence of moisture content and gas dissolution in transformer oil, this study further considers the influence of air pressure (AP) and electric field and establishes an experimental platform to change the air pressure and electric field, thereby studying the formation characteristics of bubbles in oil‐paper insulation. The results show that air pressure and electric field can affect the initial temperature, volume, and shape of bubble formation. From 0 to −0.05 MPa for air pressure, the initial temperature of bubble generation decreased by 41°C, its maximum two‐dimensional projected area increased by 418.4% with more severe distortion, and the breakdown voltage decreased. When the AC voltage applied on the needle plate electrode increased from 0 to 10 kV, the initial temperature of bubble formation increased by 29°C, and the maximum two‐dimensional projection area increased by 336.6%.

Background Minimally invasive reduction and fixation of intra‐articular calcaneal fractures poses great challenges for orthopaedic surgeons. The aim of the present study was to report the technical points, evaluate the efficacy of minimally invasive reduction and internal fixation assisted by the temporary limb reconstruction system (LRS) external fixator for intra‐articular calcaneal fractures, and propose the indications of our protocol. Methods In this retrospective study, a series of 34 consecutive closed and displaced intra‐articular calcaneal fractures involving the articular surface were treated by this technology between June 2016 and April 2018. X‐ray and computed tomography (CT) scans were performed before and after surgery to measure Bohler's angle; the length, height, and width of the calcaneus; and the mechanical axis of the hindfoot. Postoperative complications were recorded. Imaging and clinical outcomes were comprehensively evaluated using the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) hindfoot‐ankle scoring system. After testing the normality of the data, Bohler's angle and the length of calcaneus were compared using the Wilcoxon signed‐rank test. The height, width of the calcaneus, and the mechanical axis of the hindfoot were compared using the Paired‐Samples t‐test. Results Thirty‐two fractures were followed up for an average of 20.66 months (from 12 to 32 months). All fractures achieved stable reduction and bony union. The articular surface was reduced and fixed with direct vision through the sinus tarsi incision. No failure of internal fixation or loss of reduction was detected during follow‐up. There were no soft tissue complications. Bohler's angle; the length, height, and width of the calcaneus; and the mechanical axis of the hindfoot improved significantly. The AOFAS scores averaged 84.12 points; seven cases were rated excellent, 20 good, four fair, and one poor. Conclusions For intra‐articular calcaneal fractures, minimally invasive surgery assisted with temporary LRS external fixation can reconstruct the calcaneal shape and the sub‐talar articular surface. This simple surgical modality with limited complications may be helpful in the surgical treatment of most type II and III calcaneal fractures except comminuted fractures of the calcaneal tuberosity.

Abstract Imaging the crustal structure and state of the Himalayan Orogenic Belt (HOB) is of great significance for understanding crustal deformation and its tectonic response in the collision front of the Indian‐Eurasian plates. To avoid the influence from the anomalies underneath the north‐south trending rifts, a three‐dimensional electrical resistivity model across the central HOB was obtained between the Dingjie‐Shenzha and Yadong‐Gulu rifts. No lower‐crustal conductor was found in the southern Lhasa Terrane, and the lower crust with a moderate resistivity value of approximately 100 Ωm is interpreted to be the residue of previous partial melting beneath the Gangdese porphyry copper deposits. The middle crust between the Main Himalayan Thrust and Southern Tibet Detachment System is electrically resistive to the north of the north Himalayan gneiss domes (NHGD) belt and conductive to the south. The middle crust in the northern Himalayas may have undergone partial melting and crystallization during southward migration and duplexing. There is a strong deep‐shallow coupling relationship in the central HOB, where an increase in the underthrusting angle of the Indian crust has resulted in a southward turn of the NHGD belt.

Abstract Lipid metabolism has been considered as a potential therapeutic target in sevoflurane‐induced neurotoxicity that can potentially affect the learning and memory function in the developmental brain. Recently, triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 2 (TREM2) is identified as a crucial step in regulating lipid metabolism and associated with the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Herein, it is reported that quercetin modified Cu2‐xSe (abbreviated as CSPQ) nanoparticles can ameliorate sevoflurane‐induced neurotoxicity by tuning the microglial lipid metabolism and promoting microglial M2‐like polarization via TREM2 signaling pathway, in which the apolipoprotein E (ApoE), and adenosine triphosphate‐binding cassette transporters (ABCA1 and ABCG1) levels are upregulated. Furthermore, the protective effects of CSPQ nanoparticles against sevoflurane‐induced neurotoxicity via TREM2 are further demonstrated by the small interfering RNA (siRNA)‐TREM2 transfected BV2 cells, which are obviously not influenced by CSPQ nanoparticles. The cell membrane coated CSPQ (referred as CSPQ@CM) nanoparticles can significantly reduce sevoflurane‐induced learning and memory deficits, improve lipid metabolism dysfunction, and promote the remyelination in the hippocampus of mice. The study shows great potential of targeting microglial lipid metabolism in promoting remyelination of neurons for treatment of neurotoxicity and neurodegenerative diseases.

This study aims to quantify the magnitude of latent heat release by strong typhoons in the Northwest Pacific region and to identify the key cloud microphysical processes that affect the release of latent heat. The Weather Research and Forecasting mesoscale numerical model was used to simulate Typhoon Songda from 2011. Single- and double-moment 6-class (WSM6 and WDM6) cloud microphysics schemes were used to simulate the 3D structure and evolution of latent heat release. Simulations show that condensation of cloud water is the main source of latent heat release, while the main sources of latent heat absorption are evaporation of rain and cloud water. Depositional heating in cold cloud processes in the upper troposphere also plays an important role in the evolution of typhoon intensity. Latent heat release and absorption simulated by both schemes evolve through the phases of intensifying, maintaining, and weakening during the lifetime of the typhoon. The largest latent heat release occurs at altitudes between 5 and 10 km; condensational heating plays a major role at altitudes below 6 km, while depositional heating is the dominant process at altitudes from 6 to 12 km. Compared with WSM6, the WDM6 scheme produces smaller absolute values of latent heating from condensation and evaporation of cloud water and a more reasonable vertical distribution of cloud water mixing ratio. Positive latent heating from WDM6 is larger than that from WSM6. However, because of stronger processes of evaporation of rainwater and sublimation of cloud ice, total net latent heat release is lower in WDM6, and hence, simulated typhoon intensity is higher in WSM6.

Background. Observational researches reported the underlying correlation of plasma myeloperoxidase (MPO) concentration with respiratory tract infections (RTIs), but their causality remained unclear. Here, we examined the cause–effect relation between plasma MPO levels and RTIs. Materials and Methods. Datasets of plasma MPO levels were from the Folkersen et al. study (n = 21,758) and INTERVAL study (n = 3,301). Summarized data for upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) (2,795 cases and 483,689 controls) and lower respiratory tract infection (LRTI) in the intensive care unit (ICU) (585 cases and 430,780 controls) were from the UK Biobank database. The primary method for Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis was the inverse variance weighted approach, with MR-Egger and weighted median methods as supplements. Cochrane’s Q test, MR-Egger intercept test, MR pleiotropy residual sum and outliers global test, funnel plots, and leave-one-out analysis were used for sensitivity analysis. Results. We found that plasma MPO levels were positively associated with URTI (odds ratio (OR) = 1.135; 95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.011–1.274; P=0.032) and LRTI (ICU) (OR = 1.323; 95% CI = 1.006–1.739; P=0.045). The consistent impact direction is shown when additional plasma MPO level genome-wide association study datasets are used (URTI: OR = 1.158; 95% CI = 1.072–1.251; P0.050). The sensitivity analysis revealed no violations of MR presumptions. Conclusions. Plasma MPO levels may causally affect the risks of URTI and LRTI (ICU). In contrast, the causal role of URTI and LRTI (ICU) on plasma MPO concentration was not supported in our MR analysis. Further studies are needed to identify the relationship between RTIs and plasma MPO levels.

Objective. Our previous study found that it could significantly increase the expression of IL32 after stimulating the human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (S-HuMSCs). However, its role on the osteogenesis and cranial bone regeneration is still largely unknown. Here, we investigated the possible mechanism of this effect. Material and Methods. A series of experiments, including single-cell sequencing, flow cytometry, quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction, and western blotting, were carried out to evaluate the characteristic and adipogenic–osteogenic differentiation potential of IL-32 overexpression HuMSCs (IL-32highHuMSCs) through mediating the P38 signaling pathway. Moreover, a rat skull bone defect model was established and treated by directly injecting the IL-32highHuMSCs to conduct its role on the cranial bone regeneration. Results. In total, it found that compared to HuMSCs, IL32 was significantly increased and promoted the osteogenic differentiation (lower expressions of PPARγ, Adiponectin, and C/EBPα, and increased expressions of RUNX2, ALP, BMP2, OPN, SP7, OCN, and DLX5) in the S-HuMSCs (P0.05). Furthermore, these findings were confirmed by the rat skull bone defect model, in which the cranial bone regeneration was more pronounced in the IL-32highHuMSCs treated group compared to those in the HuMSCs group, with higher expressions of RUNX2, ALP, BMP2, and DLX5 (P

Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome (WAS) is a rare X-linked recessive genetic disease characterized by clinical symptoms such as eczema, thrombocytopenia with small platelets, immune deficiency, prone to autoimmune diseases, and malignant tumors. This disease is caused by mutations of the WAS gene encoding WASprotein (WASP). The locus and type of mutations of the WAS gene and the expression quantity of WASP were strongly correlated with the clinical manifestations of patients. We found a novel mutation in the WAS gene (c.931+5G>C), which affected splicing to produce three abnormal mRNA, resulting in an abnormally truncated WASP. This mutation led to a reduction but not the elimination of the normal WASP population, resulting in causes X-linked thrombocytopenia (XLT) with mild clinical manifestations. Our findings revealed the pathogenic mechanism of this mutation.

Abstract Nucleotides ingested from breast milk and complementary foods during infancy play a vital role in the development of the immune and nervous system, as well as the maturation of gut function, and are considered a “special dietary nutrient.” Based on the existing research progress and theoretical basis, this review takes the distribution of dietary nucleotides (NTs) in the early life (after birth to the age of 3 years) diet and the in vivo metabolism/absorption process as the starting point and expounds on its potential impact and mechanism of action on early gastrointestinal and brain development. With the understanding of gut microbiota (GM), the interaction between dietary factors and GM has become a focus of food research. It is of great significance to reexamine the biological effects of early dietary nucleotide intake on infant gut–brain development from the perspective of the GM–gut–brain axis. This paper reveals the potential relationship between the NTs–GM–gut–brain axis and provides new ideas and theories for the research and application of NTs in the field of infant nutrition.

Abstract Background We aimed to explore the prognostic differences among T1‐4N0‐2M0 non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients with bronchus involvements and to validate the T category of these patients in an external cohort. Methods Univariable and multivariable Cox analysis was performed to determine the prognostic factors. Kaplan–Meier method with a log‐rank test was used to compare overall survival differences between groups. Propensity score matching method was used to minimize the bias caused by the imbalanced covariates between groups. Results A total of 169 390 eligible T1‐4N0‐2M0 NSCLC cases were included. Abstract Pore difference characteristics and adsorption/desorption experiments of primary coal with different degrees were explored to study the characteristics of pore structure and gas desorption. The results show that the pore volume increases with the increase in the degree of metamorphism. In primary coal with different degrees of metamorphism, the distribution of micropores, small pores, and medium‐sized pores (by volume) is WY PM > CY. According to the pore volume distribution law of different metamorphic primary coals, the average pore diameters of WY, PM, and CY were 68.40, 45.60, and 30.50 nm, respectively. The porosity and specific surface area of primary coal with different degrees of metamorphism show a distribution pattern such that WY > PM > CY. For large pore and visible pore, the pore volumes of WY, PM, and CY coal were 0.0785, 0.0587, and 0.0300 mL/g, respectively, and the proportions were 81.86%, 74.49%, and 55.25%, respectively. The porosity of WY, PM, and CY were 11.57%, 9.03%, and 6.57%, respectively, and the specific surface areas were 6.917, 5.826, and 5.611 cm3/g. According to the desorption characteristics of coal bodies with different metamorphic degrees at different time nodes found that the gas desorption at different time nodes shows similar changes under the same adsorption equilibrium pressure. The higher the degree of coal metamorphism, the greater the amount of gas desorption, and the faster the desorption amplitude. The desorption intensity of WY coal is significantly higher than that of PM and CY coal with the increase of desorption time which also verifies the measurement results of pore structure and adsorption constant.

Abstract Background Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)‐based minimal residual disease (MRD) detection, which can identify disease relapse ahead of radiological imaging, has shown promising performance. The objective of this study was to develop and validate OriMIRACLE S (Minimal Residual Circulating Nucleic Acid Longitudinal Detection in Solid Tumor), a highly sensitive and specific tumor‐informed assay for MRD detection. Methods Tumor‐specific somatic single nucleotide variants (SNVs) were identified via whole exome sequencing of tumor tissue and matched germline DNA. Clonal SNVs were selected using the OriSelector algorithm for patient‐specific, multiplex PCR‐based NGS assays in MRD detection. Plasma‐free DNA from patients with gastrointestinal tumors prior to and following an operation, and during monitoring, were ultradeep sequenced. Results The detection of three positive sites was sufficient to achieve nearly 100% overall sample level sensitivity and specificity and was determined by calculating binomial probability based on customized panels containing 21 to 30 variants. A total of 127 patients with gastrointestinal tumors were enrolled in our study. Preoperatively, MRD was positive in 18 of 26 patients (69.23%). Following surgery, MRD was positive in 24 of 82 patients (29.27%). The positivity rate for MRD was 33.33% (n = 18) for gastric adenocarcinoma and 32.26% (n = 62) for colorectal cancer. Twenty (20) of 59 patients (34.48%) experienced a change in MRD status over the monitoring period. Patients 8 and 31 responded to 3 cycles of systemic therapy, after which levels for all ctDNA dropped below the detection limit. Patient 53 was an example of using MRD to predict tumor metastasis. Patient 55 showed a weak response to treatments first and respond to new systemic therapy after tumor progression. Conclusion Our study identified a sensitive and specific clinical detection method for low frequency ctDNA, and explored the detection performance of this technology in gastrointestinal tumors.

Abstract Background Metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) remains fatal and incurable, despite a variety of treatments that can delay disease progression and prolong life. Immune checkpoint therapy is a promising treatment. However, emerging evidence suggests that exosomal programmed necrosis ligand 1 (PD‐L1) directly binds to PD‐1 on the surface of T cells in the drain lineage lymph nodes or neutralizes administered PD‐L1 antibodies, resulting in poor response to anti‐PD‐L1 therapy in mCRPC. Materials and Methods Western blotting and immunofluorescence were performed to compare PD‐L1 levels in exosomes derived from different prostate cancer cells. PC3 cells were subcutaneously injected into nude mice, and then ELISA assay was used to detect human specific PD‐L1 in exosomes purified from mouse serum. The function of CD8+ T cells was detected by T cell mediated tumor cell killing assay and FACS analysis. A subcutaneous xenograft model was established using mouse prostate cancer cell RM1, exosomes with or without PD‐L1 were injected every 3 days, and then tumor size and weight were analyzed to evaluate the effect of exosomal PD‐L1. Results Herein, we found that exosomal‐PD‐L1 was taken up by tumor cells expressing low levels of PD‐L1, thereby protecting them from T‐cell killing. Higher levels of PD‐L1 were detected in exosomes derived from the highly malignant prostate cancer PC3 and DU145 cell lines. Moreover, exosomal PD‐L1 was taken up by the PD‐L1‐low‐expressing LNCaP cell line and inhibited the killing function of CD8‐T cells on tumor cells. The growth rate of RM1‐derived subcutaneous tumors was decreased after knockdown of PD‐L1 in tumor cells, whereas the growth rate recovered following exosomal PD‐L1 tail vein injection. Furthermore, in the serum of mice with PCa subcutaneous tumors, PD‐L1 was mainly present on exosomes. Conclusion In summary, tumor cells share PD‐L1 synergistically against T cells through exosomes. Inhibition of exosome secretion or prevention of PD‐L1 sorting into exosomes may improve the therapeutic response of prostate tumors to anti‐PD‐L1 therapy.

Abstract Background Mortality following hip fracture is high and incompletely understood. We hypothesize that hip musculature size and quality are related to mortality following hip fracture. This study aims to investigate the associations of hip muscle area and density from hip CT with death following hip fracture as well as assess the dependence of this association on time after hip fracture. Methods In this secondary analysis of the prospectively collected CT images and data from the Chinese Second Hip Fracture Evaluation, 459 patients were enrolled between May 2015 and June 2016 and followed up for a median of 4.5 years. Muscle cross‐sectional area and density were measured of the gluteus maximus (G.MaxM) and gluteus medius and minimus (G.Med/MinM) and aBMD of the proximal femur. The Goutallier classification (GC) was used for qualitatively assessing muscle fat infiltration. Separate Cox models were used to predict mortality risk adjusted for covariates. Results At the end of the follow‐up, 85 patients were lost, 81 patients (64% women) had died, and 293 (71% women) survived. The mean age of non‐surviving patients at death (82.0 ± 8.1 years) was higher than that of the surviving patients (74.4 ± 9.9 years). The Parker Mobility Score and the American Society of Anesthesiologists scores of the patients that died were respectively lower and higher compared to the surviving patients. Hip fracture patients received different surgical procedures, and no significant difference in the percentage of hip arthroplasty was observed between the dead and the surviving patients (P = 0.11). The cumulative survival was significantly lower for patients with low G.MaxM area and density and low G.Med/MinM density, independent of age and clinical risk scores. The GC grades were not associated with the mortality after hip fracture. Muscle density of both G.MaxM (adj. HR 1.83; 95% CI, 1.06–3.17) and G.Med/MinM (adj. HR 1.98; 95% CI, 1.14–3.46) was associated with mortality in the 1st year after hip fracture. G.MaxM area (adj. HR 2.11; 95% CI, 1.08–4.14) was associated with mortality in the 2nd and later years after hip fracture. Conclusion Our results for the first time show that hip muscle size and density are associated with mortality in older hip fracture patients, independent of age and clinical risk scores. This is an important finding to better understand the factors contributing to the high mortality in older hip fracture patients and to develop better future risk prediction scores that include muscle parameters.

Abstract The medium‐ and high‐frequency resonance between modular multilevel converters (MMCs) and the AC grid has attracted increasing attention due to the frequent occurrence of resonance events in recent years. Therefore, resonance issues are analyzed, and corresponding suppression strategies are proposed in this paper. First, the analytical expression of the MMC AC‐side impedance is established. Then, the mechanism and influencing factors of different types of resonances, including active resonance and passive resonance, are analyzed to provide a more comprehensive perspective. To aid the suppression of these resonances, resonance risk indexes are defined to evaluate the resonance risk, and then the suppression effects of different strategies are compared through analytical calculations. Subsequently, coordinated resonance suppression strategies suitable for different resonance situations are proposed. The key points of the suppression strategies are to suppress the negative damping of MMC impedance at the resonance frequency and improve the integrated impedance of the MMC AC‐side system. Finally, the proposed suppression strategies are verified by simulation results.

Abstract Background Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and diabetic complications threaten human health seriously. Healthy lifestyles can lower the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) and long‐term complications. However, the relationship between alcohol consumption and CVD mortality is still controversial, and there is a lack of evidence from large‐scale longitudinal studies in the Chinese population. Based on the REACTION study (Risk Evaluation of Cancers in Chinese Diabetic Individuals: A Longitudinal Study), this paper explores the association between alcohol consumption and all‐cause mortality, stroke, and coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with abnormal glucose metabolism during a 10‐year follow‐up period to provide evidence for lifestyle counselling for these patients. Methods First, baseline data were collected from the REACTION study cohort in Changchun, Jilin Province, China, in 2011–2012. A questionnaire survey was performed among patients with abnormal glucose metabolism aged over 40 years. The frequency of their alcohol intake, the type of alcohol, and the amount of alcohol consumed daily were surveyed. Physical and biochemical examinations were also performed. Then, through the Primary Public Health Service System of Jilin Province, we collected outcomes during the 10‐year follow‐up up to October 1, 2021, including all‐cause mortality, stroke, and CHD. Abstract Nowadays, multi unmanned aerial vehicle (multi‐UAV) systems have been widely used in battlefield. The rationality of mission plan can directly affect the effectiveness of multi‐UAV system. The existing multi‐UAV task allocation model lack a comprehensive modelling of task pre‐allocation and task reallocation issues. However, in actual task execution, task pre‐allocation and task reallocation are a holistic problem. Therefore, based on the background of multi‐UAV cooperative reconnaissance, the authors establish a multi‐UAV cooperative reconnaissance task pre‐allocation and reallocation model (MCRTPR). There are two kinds of task allocation in MCRTPR model. One is task pre‐allocation, which is a static task allocation before the mission begin. Another is task reallocation, that is a dynamic task allocation during the mission. For task pre‐allocation, a particle swarm optimisation algorithm based on experience pool (EPPSO) is proposed. And for task reallocation, the authors design a partial task reallocation algorithm based on contract network protocol (CNP‐PTR). The experimental results show that, compared with some state‐of‐the‐art algorithms, EPPSO can get the lowest fitness value under various experimental conditions, and CNP‐PTR is able to handle task reallocation problem caused by multiple kinds of dynamic events.

Abstract The BiS2‐based layered superconductors with structures similar to those of cuprates and iron‐based superconductors have stimulated much research interest. Here, a new quaternary compound is reported, Bi5O4S3Cl, which crystalizes in a tetragonal structure with P4/mmm (No. 123) space group having alternately stacking unique BiS3 layers and Bi2O2 layers along the c‐axis with a Cl atom located at the center of the unit cell. A superconducting transition above 3 K is observed for both electrical transport and magnetic measurements. Hall resistivity measurements show its multiband character with a conduction dominated by electron‐like charge carriers. The first‐principles calculations exhibit that the semiconducting parent phase Bi5O4S3Cl becomes metallic when sulfur vacancies are introduced, which hints the origin of superconductivity in Bi5O4S3Cl. The findings will inspire the exploration of new BiS‐based superconductors.

This study addresses the challenge of intelligent decision‐making for command‐and‐control systems in air defense combat operations. Current autonomous decision‐making systems suffer from limited rationality and insufficient intelligence during operation processes. Recent studies have proposed methods based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) to address these issues. However, DRL methods typically face challenges related to weak interpretability, lack of convergence guarantees, and high‐computing power requirements. To address these issues, a novel technique for large‐scale air defense decision‐making by combining a DRL technique with game theory is discussed. The proposed method transforms the target assignment problem into a potential game that provides theoretical guarantees for Nash equilibrium (NE) from a distributed perspective. The air‐defense decision problem is decomposed into separate target selection and target assignment problems. A DRL method is used to solve the target selection problem, while the target assignment problem is translated into a target assignment optimization game. This game is proven to be an exact potential game with theoretical convergence guarantees for an NE. Having simulated the proposed decision‐making method using a digital battlefield environment, the effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated.

Abstract Simultaneously optimizing elementary steps, such as water dissociation, hydroxyl transferring, and hydrogen combination, is crucial yet challenging for achieving efficient hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) in alkaline media. Herein, Ru single atom‐doped WO2 nanoparticles with atomically dispersed Ru–W pair sites (Ru–W/WO2‐800) are developed using a crystalline lattice‐confined strategy, aiming to gain efficient alkaline HER. It is found that Ru–W/WO2‐800 exhibits remarkable HER activity, characterized by a low overpotential (11 mV at 10 mA cm−2), notable mass activity (5863 mA mg−1 Ru at 50 mV), and robust stability (500 h at 250 mA cm−2). The highly efficient activity of Ru–W/WO2‐800 is attributed to the synergistic effect of Ru–W sites through ensemble catalysis. Specifically, the W sites expedite rapid hydroxyl transferring and water dissociation, while the Ru sites accelerate the hydrogen combination process, synergistically facilitating the HER activity. This study opens a promising pathway for tailoring the coordination environment of atomic‐scale catalysts to achieve efficient electro‐catalysis.

Abstract Development of an electrocatalyst that is cheap and has good properties to replace conventional noble metals is important for H2 applications. In this study, dealloying of an amorphous Ti37Cu60Ru3 alloy was performed to prepare a free‐standing nanostructured hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) catalyst. The effect of dealloying and addition of Ru to TiCu alloys on the microstructure and HER properties under alkaline conditions was investigated. 3 at.% Ru addition in Ti40Cu60 decreases the overpotential to reach a current density of 10 mA cm−2 and Tafel slope of the dealloyed samples to 35 and 34 mV dec−1. The improvement of electrocatalytic properties was attributed to the formation of a nanostructure and the modification of the electronic structure of the catalyst. First‐principles calculations based on density function theory indicate that Ru decreases the Gibbs free energy of water dissociation. This work presents a method to prepare an efficient electrocatalyst via dealloying of amorphous alloys.

Abstract Background The association between sarcopenia and mild cognitive impairment (MCI) among elderly adults in China remains unclear. The present study aimed to examine the association based on a nationally representative large‐scale survey. Methods The study used two waves of data from China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) in 2015 and 2018. All subjects met the inclusion criteria were classified based on Asia Working Group for Sarcopenia 2019 criteria. Aging‐associated cognitive decline is used to define MCI, and cognitive function is measured based on four dimensions: orientation, computation, memory, and drawing. OLS and logistic regression model were conducted to analyse the cross‐sectional association between sarcopenia and different cognitive functions. Logistic regression model was conducted to analyse the longitudinal association between sarcopenia and MCI. Results Totally, 5715 participants aged over 60 years (43.8% women; mean age 67.3 ± 6.0 years) were enrolled in a cross‐sectional association study in 2015, and further 2982 elderly adults were followed up in 2018. During the period, sarcopenia and possible sarcopenia increased from 8.5% to 29.6%. Objective It is unclear whether idiopathic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ONFH) is associated with borderline developmental dysplasia of the hip (BDDH). This study aimed to compare the incidence of BDDH between patients with idiopathic ONFH and matched control subjects and determine the influence of BDDH on poor prognosis after core decompression (CD). Methods We retrospectively examined 78 consecutive patients (111 hips) with idiopathic ONFH undergoing CD and 1:2 matched with 156 control subjects (222 hips). The anteroposterior pelvic radiographs were used to measure the acetabular anatomical parameters and divide included subjects into BDDH or non‐BDDH group. The incidence of BDDH and acetabular anatomical parameters were compared between patients with idiopathic ONFH and matched controls. Clinical outcomes, such as Harris Hip Score (HHS), progression of collapse, and conversion to total hip arthroplasty (THA), were compared between patients with BDDH and without BDDH in the idiopathic ONFH group, with a mean follow‐up of 72.1 ± 36.6 months. Abstract Background This retrospective study aimed to assess the safety and efficacy of microwave ablation for lung tumors adjacent to the interlobar fissures. Methods From May 2020 to April 2021, 59 patients with 66 lung tumors (mean diameter, 16.9 ± 7.7 mm; range, 6–30 mm) adjacent to the interlobar fissures who underwent microwave ablation at our institution were identified and included in this study. Based on the relationship between the tumor and the interlobar fissure, tumors can be categorized into close to the fissure, causing the fissure, and involving the fissure. The complete ablation rate, local progression‐free survival, complications, and associated factors were analyzed. Results All 66 histologically proven tumors were treated using computed tomography‐guided microwave ablation. The complete ablation rate was 95.5%. Local progression‐free survival at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months were 89.4%, 83.3%, 74.2%, and 63.6%, respectively. The complications included pneumothorax (34.8%), pleural effusion (24.2%), cavity (18.2%), and pulmonary infection (7.6%). There were statistical differences in the incidence of pneumothorax, cavity, and delayed complications between the groups with and without antenna punctures through the fissure. Conclusions Microwave ablation is a safe and effective treatment for lung tumor adjacent to the interlobar fissure. Antenna puncturing though the interlobar fissure may be a potential risk factor for pneumothorax, cavity, and delayed complications.

Abstract Based on the analysis of the combustion process of liquid fuel in the gas turbine combustor, we suggest that a comprehensive surrogate fuel should be developed according to the basic physical and chemical properties that affect the diffusion combustion process. The present study took the carbon–hydrogen mole ratio, molar weight, density, viscosity, surface tension, initial boiling point, and lower heating value, as the target properties. The optimal direction method was utilized to obtain the mixture composition ratio which has the minimum deviation on the basic physical and chemical properties compared with the Fischer–Tropsch (F‐T) fuel. This mixture, taken as the comprehensive surrogate fuel of the F‐T fuel, was composed of 15% n‐decane, 67% n‐tetradecane, 13% iso‐octane, and 5% methylcyclohexane in mole fraction. Further experiments were conducted to investigate the pollutant emissions of the F‐T fuel and the surrogate fuel in a gas turbine combustor. The experimental results showed that the surrogate fuel can well predict the EI(CO) and EI(NOx) of the F‐T fuel in the turbine combustor, and the difference in EI(UHC) is mainly influenced by the fuel evaporation property.

Abstract Background This study aimed to investigate the relationship between dissociative experiences, post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and psychiatric symptoms exhibited by schizophrenic patients 35 years after the Tangshan earthquake. Methods Seventy‐one schizophrenic patients who had experienced the Tangshan earthquake were selected and evaluated by the Post‐traumatic Dissociative Experience Questionnaire (PDEQ), thPTSD Checklist‐Civilian Version (PCL‐C), and the Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS). Results The score of Group B (re‐experiencing symptoms) in PCL‐C was significantly positively correlated with age and significantly negatively correlated with the course of schizophrenia. Both gender and marriage were significantly positively correlated with the score of PCL‐C Group D (irritability symptoms caused by hyperarousal). The PDEQ score was negatively correlated with thecourse of schizophrenia and positively correlated with the presence of sleep difficulties. Significant differences were found between the PCL‐C scores of the positive and negative symptoms of the three core symptom groups; the positive rate of Group B was significantly higher than that of Group D, and the positive rate of Group C was significantly higher than that of Group D. The PCL‐C total score was positively correlated with the negative symptom factor score of PANSS; Group C's symptoms were significantly negativelycorrelated with the positive factor score of PNASS; andGroup D's‘ symptoms were significantly negatively correlated with the PANSS total score and the positive factor score. Conclusion When consiering patients with schizophrenia post the Tangshan earthquake, age, gender, and marital status were all positively correlated with PTSD. The course of schizophrenia was negatively associated with PTSD and dissociative experiences. PTSD was positively correlated with the negative symptoms of schizophrenia and negatively correlated with the positive symptoms of schizophrenia. Thus, the conditions and symptoms of PTSD may interact with those of schizophrenia.

Abstract Background Hemophilia B (HB), a rare bleeding disorder, shows X‐linked recessive inheritance and is caused by heterogeneous variants in the FIX gene (F9) encoding coagulation factor IX (FIX). This study aimed to investigate the molecular pathogenesis of a novel Met394Thr variant causing HB. Methods We used Sanger sequencing to analyze F9 sequence variants in members of a Chinese family with moderate HB. Subsequently, we performed in vitro experiments on the identified novel FIX‐Met394Thr variant. In addition, we performed bioinformatics analysis of the novel variant. Results We identified a novel missense variant (c.1181T>C, p.Met394Thr) in a Chinese family with moderate HB in the proband. The proband's mother and grandmother were carriers for the variant. The identified FIX‐Met394Thr variant did not affect the transcription of F9 and the synthesis and secretion of FIX protein. The variant may, therefore, affect the physiological function of FIX protein by disrupting its spatial conformation. In addition, another variant (c.88+75A>G) in intron 1 of F9 was identified in the grandmother, which may also affect FIX protein function. Conclusion We identified FIX‐Met394Thr as a novel causative variant of HB. Further understanding of the molecular pathogenesis underlying FIX deficiency may guide novel strategies for precision HB therapy.

Abstract Superplastic metals that exhibit exceptional ductility (>300%) are appealing for use in high‐quality engineering components with complex shapes. However, the wide application of most superplastic alloys has been constrained due to their poor strength, the relatively long superplastic deformation period, and the complex and high‐cost grain refinement processes. Here these issues are addressed by the coarse‐grained superplasticity of high‐strength lightweight medium entropy alloy (Ti43.3V28Zr14Nb14Mo0.7, at.%) with a microstructure of ultrafine particles embedded in the body‐centered‐cubic matrix. The results demonstrate that the alloy reached a high coarse‐grained superplasticity greater than ≈440% at a high strain rate of 10−2 s−1 at 1173 K and with a gigapascal residual strength. A consecutively triggered deformation mechanism that sequences of dislocation slip, dynamic recrystallization, and grain boundary sliding in such alloy differs from conventional grain‐boundary sliding in fine‐grained materials. The present results open a pathway for highly efficient superplastic forming, broaden superplastic materials to the high‐strength field, and guide the development of new alloys.

Abstract Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) presents with high mortality and short overall survival. Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) act as refuge for cancer cells in PDAC. Mechanisms of intracelluar communication between CAFs and cancer cells need to be explored. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are involved in the modulation of oncogenesis and tumor progression of PDAC; however, specific lncRNAs and their mechanism of action have not been clarified clearly in tumoral microenvironment. This work aims to identify novel lncRNAs involved in cellular interaction between cancer cells and CAFs in PDAC. To this end, differentially expressed lncRNAs between long‐term and short‐term survival PDAC patients are screened. Lnc‐FSD2‐31:1 is found to be significantly increased in long‐term survival patients. This work then discovers that tumor‐derived lnc‐FSD2‐31:1 restrains CAFs activation via miR‐4736 transported by extracellular vesicles (EVs) in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, EVs‐derived miR‐4736 suppresses autophagy and contributes to CAFs activation by targeting ATG7. Furthermore, blocking miR‐4736 suppresses tumor growth in genetically engineered KPC (LSL‐KrasG12D/+, LSL‐Trp53R172H/+, and Pdx‐1‐Cre) mouse model of PDAC. This study demonstrates that intratumoral lnc‐FSD2‐31:1 modulates autophagy in CAFs resulting in their activation through EVs‐derived miR‐4736. Targeting miR‐4736 may be a potential biomarker and therapeutic target for PDAC.

Abstract Background Patients with a first hip fracture are at high risk of fracturing their other hip. Despite this, preventive therapy is often not given. Because little is known about specific risk factors of a second hip fracture, we investigated the association with areal bone mineral density (aBMD), muscle size, and density. We also investigated whether muscle parameters predict the risk of a contralateral fracture independently of aBMD. Methods Three groups were included, one without hip fracture (a subcohort of the China Action on Spine and Hip Status study), one with a first, and one with a second hip fracture. Subjects with fractures were recruited from the longitudinal Chinese Second Hip Fracture Evaluation (CSHFE). Computed tomography scans of CSHFE patients, which were obtained immediately following their first fracture, were used to measure cross‐sectional area and density of the gluteus maximus (G.MaxM) and gluteus medius and minimus (G.Med/MinM) muscles. Computed tomography X‐ray absorptiometry was used to measure aBMD of the contralateral femur. Median follow‐up time to second fracture was 4.5 years. Cox proportional hazards models were used to compute hazard ratios (HR) of second hip fracture risk in subjects with a first hip fracture. Multivariate logistic regressions were used to compare odds ratios (OR) for the risk of a first and second hip fracture. Results Three hundred and one participants (68.4 ± 6.1 years, 64% female) without and 302 participants (74.6 ± 9.9 years, 71% female) with a first hip fracture were included in the analysis. Among the latter, 45 (79.2 ± 7.1 years) sustained a second hip fracture. ORs for first hip fracture were significant for aBMD and muscle size and density. ORs for a second fracture were smaller by a factor of 3 to 4 and no longer significant for femoral neck (FN) aBMD. HRs for predicting second hip fracture confirmed the results. G.Med/MinM density (HR, 1.68; CI, 1.20–2.35) and intertrochanter aBMD (HR, 1.62; CI, 1.13–2.31) were the most significant. FN aBMD was not significant. G.Med/MinM density remained significant for predicting second hip fracture after adjustment for FN (HR, 1.66; Cl, 1.18–2.30) or total hip aBMD (HR, 1.50; 95% Cl, 1.04–2.15). Conclusions Density of the G.Med/MinM muscle is an aBMD independent predictor of the risk of second hip fracture. Intertrochanteric aBMD is a better predictor of second hip fracture than FN and total hip aBMD. These results may trigger a paradigm shift in the assessment of second hip fracture risk and prevention strategies.

Abstract Frequency domain methods had been commonly used in power transmission line fault location. To improve the accuracy of frequency domain fault location methods, this paper studies a robust and accurate discrete Fourier transform (DFT)‐based phasor estimation method. First, this paper analyses the deviation characteristics of DFT output phasors caused by decaying DC components with data window sliding. Based on these characteristics, this paper employs rotation factor computation to construct linear equations for the purpose of estimating the accurate fundamental frequency phasor during fault transient process. In this way, the accurate fundamental frequency phasor can be calculated by a two‐step linear operation. Furthermore, to eliminate the effect of off‐nominal frequency, the proposed method adjusts frequency deviation by using interpolation method. To further enhance the robustness for frequency domain fault location, the PauTa criterion is used to exclude the anomalous equations in the phasor estimation process. Finally, electro‐magnetic fault simulation is used to evaluate the proposed method. The test results demonstrate that the proposed method improve the accuracy of fault location during the fault transient process.

Abstract The current study set out to clarify the role of miR‐424‐5p promoter methylation in epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT) of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. The findings of quantitative real‐time‐polymerase chain reaction and methylation‐sensitive high‐resolution melting assays elicited that miR‐424‐5p was poorly expressed in HCC tissues and cells while highly methylated. Meanwhile, upon demethylation, miR‐424‐5p expression levels were partly recovered in HCC cells. In addition, miR‐424‐5p upregulation reduced cell viability and elevated apoptosis of HCC cells, in parallel with increased N‐cadherin and decreased E‐cadherin levels. Dual‐luciferase reporter assay further validated that miR‐424‐5p bound to the kinesin family member 2A (KIF2A), and miR‐424‐5p overexpression downregulated KIF2A. In addition, KIF2A overexpression reversed the miR‐424‐5p‐driven changes in terms of cell viability, apoptosis and EMT‐related protein levels. Furthermore, xenograft tumors were established via injection of Huh7 cells, followed by miR‐424‐5p overexpression in vivo, which inhabited KIF2A downregulation and attenuated tumor growth along with decreased Ki67 positive expression, diminished N‐cadherin and elevated E‐cadherin levels. Overall, our findings supported the conclusion that miR‐424‐5p promoter methylation reduced miR‐424‐5p expression and upregulated KIF2A, thereby promoting HCC EMT.
