Abstract A high‐salt diet can induce hypertension, so salt reduction can prevent hypertension. γ‐Glutamyl peptides (GGPs) have obvious taste‐enhancing effects, while their contents in natural foods are relatively low. Yeast protein rich in Glu/Gln is a good precursor for the preparation of GGPs. In this study, yeast protein‐derived GGPs were prepared through hydrolysis and transpeptidation reactions, followed by sensory evaluation and E‐tongue analysis. Peptide sequences were identified by LC−MS/MS and screened for molecular docking. The optimal reaction conditions were hydrolysis for 4 h, enzyme concentration of 16 U/g, and transpeptidation for 4 h. GGPs could increase salt and umami intensity by 60.78% and 40.93% based on sensory evaluation, 22.52%, and 16.40% according to E‐tongue analysis. Fifteen γ‐glutamyl peptides with different peptide lengths were selected for molecular docking. Molecular docking confirmed their binding to calcium‐sensing receptors (CaSr) through hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interaction, while interaction between CaSR receptor and γ‐glutamyl di‐, tri‐, and oligo‐peptides varied in binding energy. The stimulation received by CaSR lasted a longer time and varied in intensity. It was further proved that the flavor of mixed peptides has a layered sense and can give people a rich taste experience. Overall, yeast protein‐derived GGPs can enhance salt and umami taste, which can reduce salt usage without compromising taste.

Background Several previous cross‐sectional studies suggested that body roundness index (BRI) may be associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, the association should be further validated. Our study aimed to assess the association of the BRI trajectories with CVD among middle‐aged and older Chinese people in a longitudinal cohort. Methods and Results A total of 9935 participants from the CHARLS (China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study) with repeated BRI measurements from 2011 to 2016 were included. The BRI trajectories were identified by group‐based trajectory modeling. The primary outcome was incident CVD (stroke or cardiac events), which occurred in 2017 to 2020. Cox proportional hazards regression models were used to examine the association of BRI trajectories with CVD risk. Participants were divided into 3 BRI trajectories, named the low‐stable BRI trajectory, moderate‐stable BRI trajectory and high‐stable BRI trajectory, accounting for 49.81%, 42.35%, and 7.84% of the study population, respectively. Compared with participants in the low‐stable BRI trajectory group, those in the moderate‐stable and high‐stable BRI trajectory groups had an increased risk of CVD, with multivariable adjusted hazard ratios of 1.22 (95% CI, 1.09–1.37) and 1.55 (95% CI, 1.26–1.90), respectively. Abstract Significant multi‐centennial climate oscillations have been documented in a number of well‐dated climate records across the Holocene epoch and left various imprints in human cultural history. In this study, we developed speleothem δ13C, δ18O, trace elements, and lamina thickness records from the Yunnan‐Guizhou Plateau (YGP). Our high‐resolution and precisely dated records show a significant ∼550‐yr cycle as the dominant pattern of regional temperature and vegetation variations between ∼5,870 and ∼3,670 years ago. The phase analyses of the 550‐yr cycles among our speleothem records, other Northern Hemisphere climate records, solar activity index, and Atlantic meridional overturning circulation (AMOC) variations suggest that this climate cycle has a large spatial extent, and may be causally linked to the AMOC changes through coupled oceanic‐atmospheric processes. Additionally, the first cold phase of the ∼550‐yr cycle in our records coincides with the major cultural development on the YGP at ∼5,500–5,000 years ago, suggesting a critical relationship between climate and prehistorical cultural changes in the region.

Abstract Contrary to global warming projections, northern mid‐latitude continents have suffered from an increased frequency of unusually cold winters during the last few decades. However, a lack of longer‐term cold‐season temperature records from mid‐latitudes hampers our understanding of the forcing mechanisms of this temperature variability. Here we report a Group 1 alkenone‐based high‐resolution record of cold‐season temperatures extending to the pre‐industrial era (since 1700 CE) from Lake Luming in northeastern China. By comparing with the instrumental and historical records in the region, we verify the high efficacy of Group 1 alkenones as recorders of cold‐season temperature variability. Our record shows pre‐industrial warmth between 1750 and 1850 CE relative to anthropogenic industrial period (since 1850 CE), which is largely driven by variability of the Arctic Oscillation, with a negligible contribution from anthropogenic greenhouse‐gas forcing. Our results highlight the importance of internal atmospheric circulation in driving cold‐season temperatures in northeastern China.

Abstract The complexity of processes affecting soil organic carbon (SOC) turnover on spatio‐temporal scales often hinders the extrapolation of results from specific sites to larger scales. This study presents Holocene speleothem U‐Th ages paired with 14C ages of carbonate and dissolved organic carbon (DOC) through three caves located on a north‐south transect through China. The deviations of speleothem 14CDOC ages from the U‐Th ages show clearly spatial variability, and they are positively correlated with mean ages of modern SOC and soil turnover time, suggesting that deviations can be used to infer the SOC turnover. We further demonstrate that slow SOC turnover (large deviation) was associated with weak monsoon (low temperature/less precipitation) on temporal scales. Our findings reveal that climate dominates the speleothem 14CDOC ages and SOC turnover. As global warming likely will intensify, the accelerated turnover of SOC, particularly at higher latitude areas, may partially offset the existing soil carbon stock.

Abstract The 8.2 ka event has been extensively studied, whereas its structure is ambiguous in North China. Here we present a high‐resolution (∼1 year) δ18O record from annual laminated speleothem from Beijing to characterize the detailed variability across this event in North China. Our record indicates a dry 8.2 ka event spanning 8.254–8.107 ka BP with a two‐stage structure superimposed by three prominent high δ18O excursions. The identical structure of speleothem δ18O records between North and central China during the event suggests a common forcing/response in East China, whereas the progressively increased offset between their average values may reflect changes in moisture source or rainout effect. A close comparison with the Greenland ice core records suggests a strong linear response of the Asian summer monsoon to the North Atlantic climate changes across the early and middle stages of the event, but a different mechanism in the termination processes.

Abstract Purpose Anti‐CD19 chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR‐T) cell therapy has demonstrated remarkable efficacy for refractory and relapsed diffuse large B cell lymphoma (R/R DLBCL). However, this therapy failed in nearly 25% patients mainly due to antigen loss. The authors performed a phase Ⅱ trial by coadministration of anti‐CD19 and anti‐CD20 CAR‐T cells treatment for R/R DLBCL and evaluated its efficacy and toxicity. Methods Totally 21 patients with DLBCL were enrolled in this study. The patients were conditioned with fludarabine and cyclophosphamide before the infusion of anti‐CD19 and anti‐CD20 CAR‐T cells. Treatment response, toxicity, and persistence were monitored continuously. Results Of the 21 patients received the treatment, the objective response rate (ORR) is 81.0% (95% confidence interval [CI], 58.1%‐94.6%) with four cases of bulk (4/5) and one case of testis involvement; 52.4% (95% CI, 29.8%‐74.3%) had a complete response (CR). Peak levels of anti‐CD19 and anti‐CD20 CAR cells were associated with response (P = .007 and .002). Grade 3‐4 cytokine release syndrome (CRS) and neurologic events occurred in 28.5% and 9.5% patients, respectively. Median overall survival (OS) and progression‐free survival (PFS) were 8.1 and 5.0 months, respectively. The maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax) of CD4/CD8 ratio before and after infusion were associated with responses, and the total lesion glycolysis (TLG) before infusion correlates with cytokines level. Conclusions Coadministration of anti‐CD19 and CD20 CAR‐T cells therapy for DLBCL is feasible with manageable toxicity. Cytokine markers are related to toxicity and SUVmax could predict efficacy. For large oil-filled transformers, the oil flow and temperature distribution in transformer windings are an essential issue to be addressed. However, the computation of the oil flow and temperature distribution is a complicated engineering problem because of the complex physical structure of the winding area and the coupled effect of electromagnetic, fluid and thermal fields. This study presents a multi-filed coupled approach to compute and analyse the oil flow and temperature distribution of the winding area for an ODFS-334 MVA/500 kV single-phase auto-transformer. The eddy current losses of the transformer winding discs are computed based on the combined finite element and analytical method, and the computational fluid dynamics based on 3D fluid-thermal coupled method is used to calculate the oil flow and temperature properties of the prototype. The computation of the oil flow and temperature distribution reveals accurately the hot spot of the transformer. To validate the feasibility and applicability of the proposed method, the numerical results obtained using the proposed method are compared with those of the experimental ones.

As the environmental problems caused by the consumption of the non-renewable fossil energy are getting increasingly serious, the new energy power generation has received wide attentions. Multi-terminal high voltage DC (HVDC) transmission is one of the key technologies for improving the reliability and stability of new energy power generations. Besides, HVDC circuit breakers (CBs) become the bottleneck of the development and application for multi-terminal HVDC transmission power systems. Here, the active DC vacuum circuit breaker (VCB) is taken as the research object. Meanwhile, the optimisation design of the commutation circuit for the DC VCB is realised. According to Kirchhoff's law, the genetic algorithm is used to calculate the commutation parameters under different optimisation objectives, to obtain the lowest cost and the shortest sheath development time. Based on the software package MATLAB, the simulations and analyses of different optimisation objectives and parameters are carried out. Through the comparative analyses of the two optimisation objectives, the relationships between the development time of the sheath gap and the cost have been obtained.

In order to explore the principle of low-voltage air arc, to find out ways of arc control, and use experimental platform of 220 V air arc generator, the resistive, inductive and resistive loads are taken as the research objects. The research combined with experiments and computer simulation analysis, based on the chaotic phase space reconstruction theory, the C-C method, the Wolf algorithms and the Cao method, the dynamic chaotic behaviour of the low-voltage air arc current is identified quantitatively. Through the processing of the experimental and emulational data, the chaotic phase diagrams which describe chaotic attractors clearly are drawn. The LEmax of low-voltage air arc current are obtained, and the essential characteristic that the chaotic behaviour exists in low-voltage air arc is revealed and described.

In this paper, the gas flow model of high voltage SF(6) circuit breaker arc quenching chamber was established to analyse the nozzle high speed gas flow variation characteristics using finite volume method, and k-ɛ turbulent equation combined with the wall function was analysed. According to the similarity theory, the similarity criteria and the equivalent model for the arc quenching chamber was established and simulated for reflecting the aerodynamic behavior under cold gas flow interruption condition.
