An electric wheel hybrid power system is designed for driving a large single-aisle passenger aircraft during the take-off and ground taxi phases, which consists of an APU, an energy storage system, and a motor. In the taxi phase, the electric wheel hybrid power system works alone, and the turbofan engine does not work, reducing fuel consumption and pollution emissions. During the take-off rolling phase, the electric wheel hybrid power system and turbofan engine work together to reduce the thrust requirement of the turbofan engine. This article establishes an aircraft kinematic model, hybrid power system model, and a mechanical wheel model. The feasibility of the collaborative work of the electric wheels and the turbofan engines is verified by simulations. By utilizing the established hybrid system of electric motor wheels, the fuel consumption can be reduced, and the emissions of CO, HC, and NOX can also be diminished to varying degrees. The input of motor power leads to lower turbine inlet temperature, thereby enhancing the turbofan engine’s service life by approximately 4.3% and saving operational costs.

To study the swelling characteristics of bentonite eroded by alkaline solutions, swelling deformation (δs) tests on the bentonite subjected to immersion conditions of NaOH and KOH solutions were conducted. It is found that the δs of bentonite decreases with the increase in the concentration of alkaline solution. The swelling deformation δs of bentonite eroded by NaOH solution exceeds than that in the KOH solution for the same level of concentration. Moreover, by performing XRD tests, it is revealed that the reduced swelling performance of bentonite in alkaline solutions is mainly attributed to the dissolution of the swelling mineral, i.e., montmorillonite (Mt.). The higher the concentration of alkali solution, the stronger the dissolution of Mt., thus leading to more significant attenuation of the swelling properties. Besides, the K+ exhibits low hydration energies, which tends to fit into the silicon-oxygen tetrahedral cavity of smectite, forming a stronger K-linkage which leads to closely spaced crystal layers. The e-pe fractal relation can be calculated using the δs of bentonite eroded by alkaline solution. The e-pe fitting relation of the experimental data depicts that the dissolution of Mt. minerals in alkaline solution reduces the swelling coefficient κ, however, it increases the surface fractal dimension (Ds).

Abstract Background Endothelial cell (EC) dysfunction leading to microvascular alterations is a hallmark of technique failure in peritoneal dialysis (PD). However, the mechanisms underlying EC dysfunction in PD are poorly defined. Methods We combined RNA sequencing with metabolite set analysis to characterize the metabolic profile of peritoneal ECs from a mouse model of PD. This was combined with EC‐selective blockade of glycolysis by genetic or pharmacological inhibition of 6‐phosphofructo‐2‐kinase/fructose‐2,6‐biphosphatase 3 (PFKFB3) in vivo and in vitro. We also investigated the association between peritoneal EC glycolysis and microvascular alterations in human peritoneal samples from patients with end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). Results In a mouse model of PD, peritoneal ECs had a hyperglycolytic metabolism that shunts intermediates into nucleotide synthesis. Hyperglycolytic mouse peritoneal ECs displayed a unique active phenotype with increased proliferation, permeability and inflammation. The active phenotype of mouse peritoneal ECs can be recapitulated in human umbilical venous ECs and primary human peritoneal ECs by vascular endothelial growth factor that was released from high glucose‐treated mesothelial cells. Importantly, reduction of peritoneal EC glycolysis, via endothelial deficiency of the glycolytic activator PFKFB3, inhibited PD fluid‐induced increases in peritoneal capillary density, vascular permeability and monocyte extravasation, thereby protecting the peritoneum from the development of structural and functional damages. Mechanistically, endothelial PFKFB3 deficiency induced the protective effects in part by inhibiting cell proliferation, VE‐cadherin endocytosis and monocyte‐adhesion molecule expression. Pharmacological PFKFB3 blockade induced a similar therapeutic benefit in this PD model. Human peritoneal tissue from patients with ESKD also demonstrated evidence of increased EC PFKFB3 expression associated with microvascular alterations and peritoneal dysfunction. Conclusions These findings reveal a critical role of glycolysis in ECs in mediating the deterioration of peritoneal function and suggest that strategies targeting glycolysis in peritoneal ECs may be of therapeutic benefit for patients undergoing PD.

Step-like landslides have been attracting more and more attentions because of their displacement with step-like characteristics. At present, there are few studies about the mechanism of a step-like landslide from the perspective of its response to pore-water pressure. This paper considers the Yaoshan landslide disaster mainly affected by rainfall and groundwater in Anxi County, Quanzhou City, Fujian Province, as an example. Based on an in situ monitoring test, we explored the infiltration pathways of typhoons and rainstorms, the main influencing factors, and characteristics of pore-water pressure and determined the relationship between landslide displacement and pore-water pressure in the study area. The results show the following: (1) the pore-water pressure within the slope varies with fluctuation in groundwater level which is influenced by vertical infiltration of rainwater through the slope surface and dominant channels in the study area. (2) The landslide exactly produces a step-like displacement when the pore-water pressure near the slip surface increases from the minimum point to the maximum and then dissipates to the vicinity of the starting point. (3) The correlation between pore-water pressure change and landslide displacement is revealed, and the empirical formula that can characterize slope displacement generated by increment in per unit of pore-water pressure in unit time has been proposed. This study is crucial as it offers important theoretical and practical significance for the analysis of disaster-causing mechanism and monitoring and early warning of the same type of landslide.
