Traditional anti‐counterfeiting luminescent phosphors are usually composed of single‐mode photoluminescence materials, which greatly limits the security of encryption by its static fluorescent pattern. Herein, multi‐mode luminescence properties are achieved including fluorescence and persistent luminescence (PersL) within single host by co‐doping Bi3+ and Eu3+ in CaNaSb2O6F (CNSOF). A tunable emission is observed from blue (Bi3+, 3P1→1S0) to white and then to orange‐yellow (Eu3+, 5D1→7F2 and 5D0→7F0, 1, 2, 3, 4) as the excitation schemes, environment temperatures and doping level are modulated. Impressively, the blue emission attributed to the Bi3+ rapidly disappears after stopping the excitation light irradiation, and only the intense orange‐yellow PersL produced by Eu3+ can be observed. And a possible model for the energy transfer and PersL mechanism is proposed by the investigation crystal structure and photoluminescence/PersL. A schematic of security logo and digital information encryption is demonstrated using the prepared samples, which shows the dynamic evolution of the emission color and PersL brightness. The excellent property of multiple color outputs, different decay processes, and external field stimulation modes (including low energy light, thermal, and mechanical stimuli) present in CNSOF:Bi3+, Eu3+ provides a fast, low‐cost, and effective method for advanced anti‐counterfeiting and information encryption applications. Diamond‐like (DL) metal chalcogenides have attracted significant attention in recent years because of their complex structural compositions and exceptional nonlinear optical (NLO) capabilities in the infrared (IR) range. Despite notable advancements in this field, there is still a lack of systematic research on high‐performance and simply composed IR‐NLO chalcogenides with DL structures. In this study, the insightful structural characteristics and IR‐NLO properties of a ternary Ag‐based chalcogenide Ag2GeS3 are investigated for the first time at both experimental and theoretical levels. The compound belongs to the non‐centrosymmetric Cmc21 space group (No.36) and displays a 3D DL structure comprising highly oriented [AgS4] and [GeS4] tetrahedra. Due to its distinct structure, the compound may produce significant second harmonic generation (SHG) response (5.6 × AgGaS2 at 2050 nm), the biggest value reported among Ag‐based IR‐NLO chalcogenides to date, and phase matchability in the IR range with a calculated birefringence of Δn = 0.09 at 2050 nm. According to theoretical calculations, the combined impacts of the distorted [AgS4] and [GeS4] NLO‐active motifs inside the 3D DL framework provide the SHG tensor d24 of Ag2GeS3 at 51.9 pm V−1 at 2050 nm. The photoreceptor cilium is vital for maintaining the structure and function of the retina. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying the photoreceptor cilium integrity and retinal homeostasis are largely unknown. Herein, it is shown that kinesin family member 11 (KIF11) localizes at the transition zone (connecting cilium) of the photoreceptor and plays a crucial role in orchestrating the cilium integrity. KIF11 depletion causes malformations of both the photoreceptor ciliary axoneme and membranous discs, resulting in photoreceptor degeneration and the accumulation of drusen‐like deposits throughout the retina. Mechanistic studies show that the stability of KIF11 is regulated by an interplay between its UFMylation and ubiquitination; UFMylation of KIF11 at lysine 953 inhibits its ubiquitination by synoviolin 1 and thereby prevents its proteasomal degradation. The lysine 953‐to‐arginine mutant of KIF11 is more stable than wild‐type KIF11 and also more effective in reversing the ciliary and retinal defects induced by KIF11 depletion. High‐entropy oxides (HEOs) have garnered significant attention within the realm of rechargeable batteries owing to their distinctive advantages, which encompass diverse structural attributes, customizable compositions, entropy‐driven stabilization effects, and remarkable superionic conductivity. Despite the brilliance of HEOs in energy conversion and storage applications, there is still lacking a comprehensive review for both entry‐level and experienced researchers, which succinctly encapsulates the present status and the challenges inherent to HEOs, spanning structural features, intrinsic properties, prevalent synthetic methodologies, and diversified applications in rechargeable batteries. Within this review, the endeavor is to distill the structural characteristics, ionic conductivity, and entropy stabilization effects, explore the practical applications of HEOs in the realm of rechargeable batteries (lithium‐ion, sodium‐ion, and lithium‐sulfur batteries), including anode and cathode materials, electrolytes, and electrocatalysts. The review seeks to furnish an overview of the evolving landscape of HEOs‐based cell component materials, shedding light on the progress made and the hurdles encountered, as well as serving as the guidance for HEOs compositions design and optimization strategy to enhance the reversible structural stability, electrical properties, and electrochemical performance of rechargeable batteries in the realm of energy storage and conversion. Borates have garnered a lot of attention in the realm of solid‐state chemistry due to their remarkable characteristics, in which the synthesis of borates with isolated [BO3] by adding rare‐earth elements is one of the main areas of structural design study. Five new mixed‐metal Y‐based rare‐earth borates, Ba2ZnY2(BO3)4, KNa2Y(BO3)2, Li2CsY4(BO3)5, LiRb2Y(BO3)2, and RbCaY(BO3)2, have been discovered using the high‐temperature solution approach. Isolated [BO3] clusters arranged in various configurations comprise their entire anionic framework, allowing for optical anisotropy tuning between 0.024 and 0.081 under 1064 nm. In this study, we characterize the relative placements of their [BO3] groups and examine how their structure affects their characteristics. The origin of their considerable optical anisotropy has been proven theoretically. Adhesives can intimately connect humans to machines, seamlessly bond diverse tissues in the human body, and manage various diseases. However, the precise spatial control of wet and tough adhesion of biocompatible hydrogels on biological tissues remains a major challenge. Inspired by the bioglue secreted by sandcastle worms, the design of printable tough adhesives (PTAs) is proposed, a supramolecular hydrogel that can be printed into defined structures, in situ mechanically reinforced into a tough matrix with physiologically relevant benign triggers, and strongly adhere to diverse substrates. With carefully selected polymer components and ratios, it is discovered that the 3D printed PTAs can achieve a marked increase in toughness, tensile strength, and stiffness after being immersed in water/saline solution or attached to biological tissues. To assess the robust toughening mechanism triggered by the supramolecular interactions, the effects of polymer content and pH on the mechanical performance of PTAs and the kinetics of their triggered reinforcement are thoroughly investigated. The potential of PTAs is further demonstrated for manufacturing tough connective tissue mimetics, controlling patterned bioadhesion, and designing programmable 4D soft robotics. Introduction Methods Results Conclusion Autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT) has gained extensive application in the treatment of lymphoma and multiple myeloma (MM). Plenty of studies demonstrate that peripheral blood indicators could be considered potential predictive biomarkers for hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) collection efficiency, including white blood cell count (WBC), monocyte count (Mono), platelet count (PLT), hematocrit, and hemoglobin levels. Currently, clinically practical predictive models based on these peripheral detection indicators to quickly, conveniently, and accurately predict collection efficiency are lacking.In total, 139 patients with MM and lymphoma undergoing mobilization and collection of ASCT were retrospectively studied. The study endpoint was successful collection of autologous HSCs. We analyzed the effects of clinical characteristics and peripheral blood markers on collection success, and screened variables to establish a prediction model. We determined the optimal cutoff value of peripheral blood markers for predicting successful stem cell collection and the clinical value of a multi‐marker prediction approach. We also established a prediction model for collection efficacy.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that the mobilization regimen, Mono, PLT, mononuclear cell count (MNC), and peripheral blood CD34+ cell count (PB CD34+ counts) were significant predictors of successful collection of peripheral blood stem cells (PBSC). Two predictive models were constructed based on the results of multivariate logistic analyses. Model 1 included the mobilization regimen, Mono, PLT, and MNC, whereas Model 2 included the mobilization regimen, Mono, PLT, MNC, and PB CD34+ counts. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis showed that the PB CD34+ counts, Model 1, and Model 2 could predict successful HSCs collection, with cutoff values of 26.92 × 106/L, 0.548, and 0.355, respectively. Model 1 could predict successful HSCs collection with a sensitivity of 84.62%, specificity of 75.73%, and area under the curve (AUC) of 0.863. Model 2 could predict successful HSCs collection with a sensitivity of 83.52%, specificity of 94.17%, and AUC of 0.946; thus, it was superior to the PB CD34+ counts alone.Our findings suggest that the combination of the mobilization regimen, Mono, PLT, MNC, and PB CD34+ counts before collection has predictive value for the efficacy of autologous HSCs collection in patients with MM and lymphoma. Anion exchange membrane fuel cell (AEMFC) is an emerging and promising technology that can help realize a carbon‐neutral, sustainable economy. Also, compared to the proton exchange membrane counterpart, AEMFC can achieve comparable cell outputs with lower costs due to the applicability of non‐platinum group metal electrocatalysts for the reaction on the electrodes’ surfaces. However, the wide application of the AEMFCs has been impeded by the unsatisfactory stability and performance of the hydroxide‐conductive membranes in the past. Recently researchers have made breakthroughs using polyarylene (PA)‐based AEMs. This article summarizes the recent advances of a class of AEMs with aromatic backbone without ether bonds, mainly synthesized by Friedel–Crafts polycondensation. Such PA‐based AEMs showed high chemical/mechanical stabilities and ionic conductivity, and even the fuel cell with those AEMs showed impressive peak power density of up to 2.58 W cm−2. In this concept article, we classify major strategies for making PA‐based AEMs to show the recent trends, highlight synthesis, characterization, and properties, and provide a brief outlook. Sand rice (Agriophyllum squarrosum (L.) Moq.), an annual psammophyte, is a promising wild plant for de novo domestication. Although many related studies have been documented recently, a basic phenological scale describing its growth stages is lacking. To address this gap, we have defined nine principal growth stages, each subdivided into several secondary stages according the international BBCH coding system. The growth stages mainly include seedling emergence, leaf development, formation of the primary branches, main stem elongation, inflorescence emergence, flowering, fruit development, ripening and senescence. Importantly, the growth sequence of sand rice reveals a distinctive stage, coded as BBCH21, characterized by the elongation of the first pair of primary branches, which occurs prior to main stem visible (BBCH30). This branch priority phenotype in sand rice strongly challenges the generally recognized growth pattern of ‘apical dominance’ in dicotyledons. The sequential and chronological progression of principal growth stages of sand rice was further determined in an experimental field with a representative genotype from the Tengger desert of Northwest China in 2023. The establishment of BBCH scale of sand rice lays a methodological foundation for morphological assessment among different germplasms and between wild‐type and mutant plants. Objective: To reveal the overall sperm retrieval rate (SRR) and range in patients with azoospermia factor c (AZFc) microdeletion azoospermia by microdissection testicular sperm extraction (mTESE) and discuss the differences of preoperative patient factors among studies with various SRRs. Patients and Methods: We searched PubMed, Web of Science and Embase until February 2023. All studies reporting SRRs by mTESE and required parameters of patients with AZFc microdeletions were included. The primary outcome was the SRR and, if available, the pregnancy rate (PR) and live‐birth rate (LBR) after intracytoplasmic sperm injection were also investigated as secondary outcomes. Results: Eventually 11 cohort studies were included in this review. A total number of 441 patients underwent mTESE and in 275 of them sperm was obtained, reaching an overall SRR of 62.4%. The SRRs among studies had a wide range from 25.0% to 85.7%. The studies reporting higher SRRs generally had older mean ages, and higher follicle‐stimulating hormone and testosterone levels. Only four studies provided practical data on pregnancies and live‐born children of patients with AZFc microdeletions, so the overall PR and LBR were unavailable. Conclusions: The overall SRR of patients with AZFc microdeletion azoospermia was 62.4%. The effect of patient factors in SR needs further evidence in future work. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aim Methods Results Conclusions The aim of this work is to present a new protocol for implant surgical planning which involves the combined use of artificial intelligence (AI) and mixed reality (MR).This protocol involves the acquisition of three‐dimensional (3D) patient data through intraoral scanning (IOS) and cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). These data are loaded into AI software which automatically segments and aligns the patient's 3D models. These 3D models are loaded into MR software and used for planning implant surgery through holography. The files are then exported and used to design surgical guides via open‐source software, which are 3D printed and used to prepare the implant sites through static computer‐assisted implant surgery (s‐CAIS). The case is finalized prosthetically through a fully digital protocol. The accuracy of implant positioning is verified by comparing the planned position with the actual position of the implants after surgery.As a proof of principle, the present protocol seems to be to be reliable and efficient when used for planning simple cases of s‐CAIS in partially edentulous patients. The clinician can plan the implants in an authentic 3D environment without using any radiology‐guided surgery software. The precision of implant placement seems clinically acceptable, with minor deviations.The present study suggests that AI and MR technologies can be successfully used in s‐CAIS for an authentic 3D planning. Directly using aluminum (Al) foil as anode material offers a streamlined manufacturing process by eliminating the need for conductive additives, binders, and casting procedures. Nonetheless, monolithic Al foil anodes often suffer from mechanical failure and poor cyclability, posing challenges for practical adoption. In this study, a high‐concentration ether‐based electrolyte is employed to boost the durability of the Al foil anode. In contrast to traditional low‐concentration electrolytes, the use of 5 m lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide in 1,2‐dimethoxyethane promotes the priority decomposition of anions, leading to the creation of a fluoride‐rich solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer with exceptional structural modulus and high ion conductivity. These outcomes, coupled with Al's superior compatibility in the chosen electrolyte, enable a record‐breaking cycle life of up to 400 cycles for Li//Al half‐cells, when operated at a high areal capacity of 1 mAh cm−2. In full‐cell configurations, an outstanding capacity retention is also observed, with 96.9% after 150 cycles even under practical conditions involving a 40 µm thin Al foil and a 7.4 mg cm−2 LiFePO4 cathode. These results not only mark the pioneering use of high‐concentration ether‐based electrolyte systems in Al foil anodes but also showcase the high potential for developing low‐cost and high‐energy Al foil‐based LIBs. To address the short lifetime of plasma‐activated water (PAW), this work reports on the application of ultralong‐lasting PAW for plant disease treatment. Compared with lettuce without ultralong‐lasting PAW treatment, the treated lettuce solution showed c. 1 log10 colony forming units mL−1 decrease in pathogens, as well as improvements in leaf area, leaf weight, root length, and root weight by 75%, 20%, 108.33%, and 150%, respectively. The leaf withering/root mortality rate of PAW‐treated plants was significantly lower than those of non‐PAW‐treated plants. Besides, disease defense‐related enzymes, such as catalase and β−1,3‐glucanase, were respectively enhanced by 112.5% and 5.13% in PAW‐treated lettuce, while the plant defense‐related genes were upregulated to respond to the pathogen's invasion. BACKGROUND RESULTS CONCLUSION The cryoprotective effect of xylooligosaccharide (XO) and kappa‐carrageenan (KC) mixture on silver carp proteins in fluctuated frozen storage from 4 to −18 °C was analyzed. Positive control as a conventional cryoprotectant mixture of sucrose (4%) and sorbitol (4%), KC (3%) and XO/KC (3%) treatments were incorporated in silver carp surimi and myofibrillar proteins to analyze the water mobility and its influence on structural attributes.The temperature fluctuation significantly increased the structural alteration in samples with no treatments due to oxidative changes, protein denaturation and recrystallization. Meanwhile, the mixture of XO and KC (XO/KC 3%) significantly reduced the tertiary and secondary structural alterations by preventing the oxidative changes in α‐helix and tryptophan (Trp) residues. Moreover, XO/KC (3%) inhibited water mobility, hindering the T22 relaxation time, as compared to the samples added with KC (3%) and the positive control. Interestingly, the XO/KC (3%) mixture significantly reduced the formation of extracellular spaces and recrystallization by restricting the partial dehydration of muscles and extracellular solution concentration.From the current results, it can be concluded that the XO/KC mixture could be efficient in protecting aquatic food proteins during fluctuating frozen storage by preventing the exposure of Trp residues and α‐helix contents. Moreover, XO/KC restricted the water mobility by establishing a bond and making water unavailable for crystallization and recrystallization. Background: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the impact of intratumoral metabolic heterogeneity and quantitative 18F‐FDG PET/CT imaging parameters in predicting patient outcomes in thymic epithelial tumors (TETs). Methods: This retrospective study included 100 patients diagnosed with TETs who underwent pretreatment 18F‐FDG PET/CT. The maximum and mean standardized uptake values (SUVmax and SUVmean), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) on PET/CT were measured. Heterogeneity index‐1 (HI‐1; standard deviation [SD] divided by SUVmean) and heterogeneity index‐2 (HI‐2; linear regression slopes of the MTV according with different SUV thresholds), were evaluated as heterogeneity indices. Associations between these parameters and patient survival outcomes were analyzed. Results: The univariate analysis showed that Masaoka stage, TNM stage, WHO classification, SUVmax, SUVmean, TLG, and HI‐1 were significant prognostic factors for progression‐free survival (PFS), while MTV, HI‐2, age, gender, presence of myasthenia gravis, and maximum tumor diameter were not. Subsequently, multivariate analyses showed that HI‐1 (p < 0.001) and TNM stage (p = 0.002) were independent prognostic factors for PFS. For the overall survival analysis, TNM stage, WHO classification, SUVmax, and HI‐1 were significant prognostic factors in the univariate analysis, while TNM stage remained an independent prognostic factor in multivariate analyses (p = 0.024). The Kaplan Meier survival analyses showed worse prognoses for patients with TNM stages III and IV and HI‐1 ≥ 0.16 compared to those with stages I and II and HI‐1 < 0.16 (log‐rank p < 0.001). Conclusion: HI‐1 and TNM stage were independent prognostic factors for progression‐free survival in TETs. The incorporation of randomness into stochastic computing can provide ample opportunities for applications such as simulated annealing, non‐polynomial hard problem solving, and Bayesian neuron networks. In these cases, a considerable number of random numbers with an accurate and configurable probability distribution function (PDF) are indispensable. Preferably, these random numbers are provided at the hardware level to improve speed, efficiency, and parallelism. In this paper, how spin‐orbit torque magnetic tunnel junctions (SOT‐MTJs) with high barriers are suitable candidates for the desired true random number generators is demonstrated. Not only do these SOT‐MTJs perform excellently in speed and endurance, but their randomness can also be conveniently and precisely controlled by a writing voltage, which makes them a well‐performed Bernoulli bit. By utilizing these SOT‐MTJ‐based Bernoulli bits, any PDF, including Gaussian, uniform, exponential, Chi‐square, and even arbitrarily defined distributions can be realized. Conjugated 2D covalent organic frameworks (2D‐COFs) have garnered interest as potential cost‐efficient noble‐metal‐free electrocatalysts, owing to their structural flexibility, well‐defined molecular architecture, high compatibility, and environmental sustainability. However, their suboptimal activity, primarily attributed to their low active site utilization and limited electron transfer ability, considerably impedes their implementation in real‐world electrocatalytic systems. Herein, the molecular dimensionality of a 2D‐COF containing tris‐triazine ring (2D‐Tr‐COF) is upgraded to generate its 3D counterpart (3D‐Tr‐COF), enabling a direct comparison between 2D‐ and 3D‐ COFs. These findings reveal that slightly altering the spatial structure in plane (from 2D to 3D) by substituting amine building blocks leads to significant variations in molecular architecture and performance for oxygen reduction reaction. The results indicate that 3D‐Tr‐COF with enlarged lattice spacing, more active species, and reduced conjugated degree, possesses enriched active sites. Moreover, the intensified intramolecular electron donor–acceptor interaction between the tris‐triazine ring and its neighboring imino linkage of 3D‐Tr‐COF optimizes the electronic/band structure and facilitates the charge transfer, resulting in enhanced intrinsic activity compared to 2D‐Tr‐COF. The extensively optimized 3D‐Tr‐COF demonstrates a half‐wave potential of 0.833 V, on par with the state‐of‐the‐art Pt/C. Bone implant biomaterials are among the most used materials for clinical application. Despite significant advances in biocompatibility and osteoconductivity, conventional biomaterials lack the ability to cope with the pathological microenvironment (inflammation, infection, residual tumors, etc.) during bone repair. Semiconductor implant materials have unique electrical, optical, ultrasound, and thermal response properties, which facilitate non‐invasively and controllably dynamic repair of pathological bone defects. In this review, the design and synthesis of a new generation of semiconductor‐driven bone implant materials are summarized, the mechanism of action of semiconductive biomaterials' functional interfaces and the dynamic repair process of bone tissues are discussed, and new strategies for the problems encountered during clinical osseointegration is provided. The near‐infrared (NIR) persistent luminescence (PersL) materials have attracted widespread attention owing to the unique self‐sustained light with good penetrability. Currently, most of the reported NIR PersL materials are activated by Cr3+. Considering the potential toxicity of chromium ions, there is an urgent requirement to explore the Cr3+‐free NIR phosphors. Herein, a novel NIR phosphor Sr2LuSbO6:Fe3+ (SLSO:Fe3+) is prepared and its luminescence properties are systematically studied. The Fe3+‐activated Sr2LuSbO6 exhibits a long‐wavelength NIR emission band centered at 890 nm with a 110 nm full‐width at half maximum (FWHM), and its PersL can last over 18 h. The phosphor shows excellent PersL stability even after being dispersed in solutions of different environments for 7 days. Furthermore, the PersL emitted by the phosphor can penetrate the 2 cm thickness beef, evidencing its good NIR PersL penetration property. This work provides a novel NIR PersL materials based on Fe3+ luminescence for technological applications and also contributes to accelerate the development of new‐generation Fe3+‐doped NIR PersL phosphor toward versatile applications. Myocardial infarction (MI) is a critical global health challenge, with current treatments limited by the complex MI microenvironment, particularly the excessive oxidative stress and intense inflammatory responses that exacerbate cardiac dysfunction and MI progression. Herein, a mannan‐based nanomedicine, Que@MOF/Man, is developed to target the inflammatory infarcted heart and deliver the antioxidative and anti‐inflammatory agent quercetin (Que), thereby facilitating a beneficial myocardial microenvironment for cardiac repair. The presence of mannan on the nanoparticle surface enables selective internalization by macrophages rather than cardiomyocytes. Que@MOF/Man effectively neutralizes reactive oxygen species in macrophages to reduce oxidative stress and promote their differentiation into a reparative phenotype, reconciling the inflammatory response and enhancing cardiomyocyte survival through intercellular communication. Owing to the recruitment of macrophages into inflamed myocardium post‐MI, in vivo, administration of Que@MOF/Man in MI rats revealed the specific distribution into the injured myocardium compared to free Que. Rivastigmine is one of the several pharmaceuticals widely prescribed for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. However, its practical synthesis still faces many issues, such as the involvement of toxic metals and harsh reaction conditions. Herein, we report a chemo‐enzymatic synthesis of Rivastigmine. The key chiral intermediate was synthesized by an engineered alcohol dehydrogenase from Lactobacillus brevis (LbADH). A semi‐rational approach was employed to improve its catalytic activity and thermal stability. Several LbADH variants were obtained with a remarkable increase in activity and melting temperature. Exploration of the substrate scope of these variants demonstrated improved activities toward various ketones, especially acetophenone analogs. To further recycle and reuse the biocatalyst, one LbADH variant and glucose dehydrogenase were co‐immobilized on nanoparticles. By integrating enzymatic and chemical steps, Rivastigmine was successfully synthesized with an overall yield of 66 %. BACKGROUND RESULTS CONCLUSION The global prevalence of iron deficiency has posed significant public health risks. Animal‐derived collagen peptides have been recognized for their potent metal ion‐chelating capabilities, which can greatly enhance the bioavailability of iron. Yak skins, typically discarded during production and processing, serve as a valuable resource. Based on yak skin collagen peptide (YSP), we have developed a novel iron‐chelating peptide: yak skin collagen iron‐chelating peptide (YSP‐Fe).The maximum level of iron chelation of YSP‐Fe achieved was 42.72 ± 0.65 mg g−1. Structural analysis indicated that YSP‐Fe was primarily formed from amino, carboxyl and carbonyl groups combined with ferrous ions. Through examination of the amino acid composition, molecular docking and peptide sequence identification, it was determined that Gly, Asp and Arg played crucial roles in the chelation of ferrous ions by YSP. Furthermore, YSP‐Fe was more stable in simulated gastrointestinal digestion compared to FeSO4.YSP‐Fe demonstrated dual benefits of iron supplementation and antioxidant effects. Background: As physical signals, mechanical cues regulate the neural cells in the brain. The mechanosensitive channels (MSCs) perceive the mechanical cues and transduce them by permeating specific ions or molecules across the plasma membrane, and finally trigger a series of intracellular bioelectrical and biochemical signals. Emerging evidence supports that wide‐distributed, high‐expressed MSCs like Piezo1 play important roles in several neurophysiological processes and neurological disorders. Aim s : To systematically conclude the functions of MSCs in the brain and provide a novel mechanobiological perspective for brain diseases. Method: We summarized the mechanical cues and MSCs detected in the brain and the research progress on the functional roles of MSCs in physiological conditions. We then concluded the pathological activation and downstream pathways triggered by MSCs in two categories of brain diseases, neurodegenerative diseases and place‐occupying damages. Finally, we outlined the methods for manipulating MSCs and discussed their medical potential with some crucial outstanding issues. Results: The MSCs present underlying common mechanisms in different brain diseases by acting as the "transportation hubs" to transduce the distinct signal patterns: the upstream mechanical cues and the downstream intracellular pathways. Manipulating the MSCs is feasible to alter the complicated downstream processes, providing them promising targets for clinical treatment. Conclusions: Recent research on MSCs provides a novel insight into brain diseases. Background: Skin barrier function is significantly impacted by skin moisture. Most non‐invasive evaluation techniques to measure skin surface hydration relying on its electrical properties, which are limited in scope and have unstable operations. Applying image processing for skin hydration assessment is uncommon, with an emphasis on skin‐capacitive pictures and near‐infrared images in general, which demand a certain spectrum. As a result, there is an increasing need for wide‐area skin hydration evaluation and mapping. Objective: The study aims to propose a quantitative evaluation algorithm for skin surface hydration from visible‐light images. Materials and methods: Three devices were applied to measure skin hydration: skin image capture device and two recognized commercial skin devices. A digital image processing system creates a new index, called GVR, to symbolize skin surface moisture. The CLAHE algorithm was applied to enhance the contrast of skin image, and after calculating it with the monochrome image, the skin reflectance image was segmented. The GVR was estimated using the values of the individual sites and the entire skin. The correlation coefficient between the three methods was examined using statistical analysis to assess the performance of GVR. Results: Skin hydration estimated from visible‐light images is influenced by the entire facial structure in addition to specific areas. The electrical and visible image evaluations showed a strong association with a significant difference. Objective: The noninvasive right ventricular pressure‐strain loop (PSL) represents a novel method for the quantitative assessment of right ventricular myocardial function. Given that atrial septal defect (ASD) is a prevalent congenital heart anomaly associated with right ventricular volume overload, this study aimed to quantitatively assess the myocardial function of the right ventricle in ASD patients pre‐ and post‐occlusion by noninvasive right ventricular PSL. Methods: This study included 36 patients diagnosed with secundum ASD group and 30 healthy adults (control group). We compared conventional right ventricular echocardiographic parameters, right ventricular strain, and myocardial work in the ASD group before occlusion, two days post‐occlusion, and three months post‐occlusion, with those in the control group. Results: Prior to and two days following occlusion, the ASD group exhibited higher right ventricular global work index (RVGWI), right ventricular global wasted work (RVGWW), and right ventricular global constructive work (RVGCW) compared to the control group (P <.05). Within the ASD group, post‐occlusion, RVGWI, RVGCW, and RVGWW values were significantly reduced compared to pre‐occlusion values (P <.001). Furthermore, RVGWI and RVGCW showed a significant decrease three months after occlusion compared to two days post‐occlusion (P <.05). Multivariate regression analysis identified ASD diameter and pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) as independent predictors of RVGWI (β =.405, P <.001; β = 2.307, P =.037) and RVGCW(β =.350, P<.001; β = 1.967, P =.023). Conclusions: The noninvasive right ventricular PSL effectively demonstrates the alterations in right ventricular myocardial function in ASD patients, pre‐ and post‐occlusion. The metrics of right ventricular myocardial work (RVMW) offer a novel indicator for evaluating right ventricular myocardial function in these patients. Background: Despite humanistic declarations regarding the rights of people with intellectual disability to live a full, meaningful life, in practice, resulting from dilemmas experienced by direct support provides, support is often limited to a focus on functional independence. The aim of this research was to define the theoretical principles by which the gap between humanistic declarations and practice can be overcome. Method: The research focused on the role perception of 30 direct support providers who participated in semistructured interviews. A case study methodology was used applying an interpretative phenomenological analysis (IPA). Findings: The interviews revealed that a humanistic perspective has been partially incorporated into the general attitudes of direct support providers. In practice, however, they indicated that they face dilemmas that challenge them in their daily work. Conclusion: To assist direct support providers in resolving their dilemmas, by adhering to humanistic principles, a 'humanization' model is offered. The theoretical principles underlying the model focus on meaningful life as the aim of support, enhancing recipients' autonomy, adhering to a holistic perspective and conducting dialogues acknowledging the abilities of people with intellectual disability to understand, choose and face challenges. Further examination of the model and its application in practice is recommended. Molting and metamorphosis are important physiological processes in insects that are tightly controlled by ecdysone receptor (EcR) through the 20‐hydroxyecdysone (20E) signaling pathway. EcR is a steroid nuclear receptor (SR). Several FK506‐binding proteins (FKBPs) have been identified from the mammal SR complex, and are thought to be involved in the subcellular trafficking of SR. However, their roles in insects are poorly understood. To explore whether FKBPs are involved in insect molting or metamorphosis, we injected an FKBP inhibitor (FK506) into a lepidopteran insect, Spodoptera litura, and found that molting was inhibited in 61.11% of the larvae, and that the time for larvae to pupate was significantly extended. A total of 10 FKBP genes were identified from the genome of S. litura and were clustered into 2 distinct groups, according to their subcellular localization, with FKBP13 and FKBP14 belonging to the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) group and with the other members belonging to the cytoplasmic (Cy) group. All the CyFKBPs were significantly upregulated in the prepupal or pupal stages, with the opposite being observed for the ER group members. FK506 completely blocked the transfer of EcR to the nucleus under 20E induction, and significantly downregulated the transcriptional expression of many 20E signaling genes. A similar phenomenon was observed after RNA interference of 2 CyFKBPs (FKBP45 and FKBP12b), but not for FKBP13. Taken together, our data indicate that the cytoplasmic FKBPs, especially FKBP45 and FKBP12b, mediate the nuclear localization of EcR, thereby regulating the 20E signaling and ultimately affecting molting and metamorphosis in insects. Calcium pyroniobate (Ca2Nb2O7) as a kind of lead‐free piezoelectric material has been applied for different fields, but the study of isothermal and non‐isothermal growth behaviors of Ca2Nb2O7 in the molten slag is infrequent. In this paper, the in situ thermal analyzer with a single hot thermocouple technique (SHTT) is used to study the growth behaviors of Ca2Nb2O7 in molten slag. In the isothermal temperatures, the Ca2Nb2O7 presents two kinds of growth morphology, including three dimensional (3D) rhombus growth and fibrous one dimensional (1D) growth. The 3D rhombus is grown under the range of 1608 to 1628 K. When the temperature further decreases to 1593 K, the growth behavior of Ca2Nb2O7 becomes fibrous in 1D. Growth velocity affected by the degree of supercooling may account for the phenomenon of two kinds of growth behaviors in different temperatures. In the non‐isothermal growth process, the cooling rate over 10 K min−1 contributes to multiple crystal nucleuses growth of Ca2Nb2O7. The cooling rate below 5 K min−1 leads to single nuclear growth. Purpose: To evaluate whether cooled anaesthetic eyedrops and antiseptics alleviate pain and minimise subconjunctival haemorrhage following intravitreal injection. Methods: A prospective, double‐masked, randomised controlled trial of 100 participants receiving either cooled (n = 50) or room temperature (n = 50) topical anaesthetic eyedrops and antiseptics before receiving an injection of bevacizumab. Baseline tolerability was estimated using a self‐reported pain sensitivity questionnaire. Results: Overall tolerability was comparable between the study group and the control group (0.75 ± 0.13 vs. 0.74 ± 0.14, respectively, p = 0.99). Subconjunctival haemorrhage incidence was similar in both groups (80% vs. 86%, respectively, p = 0.113), as was subconjunctival haemorrhage size (2.75 ± 5.51 mm2 vs. 5.53 ± 10.72 mm2, respectively, p = 0.11). Sub‐group analysis demonstrated that the participants taking daily ocular eyedrops who received cooled anaesthetic eyedrops and antiseptics reported less pain at 10 min and less burning sensation at 24 h compared with matched controls (0.67 ± 1.50 vs. 2.50 ± 3.03, respectively, p = 0.040 and 0.00 ± 0.00 vs. 1.44 ± 2.96, respectively, p = 0.045). Participants who received cooled eyedrops and did not use antithrombotic therapy had smaller‐sized subconjunctival haemorrhages compared with matched controls (1.55 ± 1.87 mm2 vs. 8.29 ± 14.61 mm2, respectively, p = 0.038). Participants with hypertension who received cooled eyedrops had smaller‐sized subconjunctival haemorrhage compared with matched controls (2.33 ± 4.99 mm2 vs. 6.89 ± 12.41 mm2, respectively, p = 0.045). Conclusion: The benefit of using cooled anaesthetic eyedrops and antiseptics to alleviate pain and minimise subconjunctival haemorrhage following intravitreal injection was not proven in the general population. Exposure to cigarette smoke directly damages the lungs and causes lung inflammation. The anti‐inflammatory properties of edible bird's nest (EBN) have been reported. We aimed to determine the effect of EBN on pneumonia in a mouse model exposed to cigarette smoke. Fifty BALB/c mice were randomly divided into control, model, positive drug, low‐dose EBN, and high‐dose EBN groups (n = 10 each). Except for the control group, the mice in each group were exposed to four cigarettes once a day for 8 days. In addition, we validated the effects of EBN on A549 cells and investigated the mechanism by which EBN alleviates lung inflammation. Edible bird's nest (EBN) could alleviate the structural damage of lung tissue and the smoke‐induced inflammatory response in mice. The best effect was observed at the high dose of EBN (0.019 g). The mice treated with EBN had a stronger ability than those in the model group to resist cigarette smoke stimulation, as indicated by a decrease in serum and lung inflammatory markers (interleukin 6 [IL‐6], tumor necrosis factor‐α [TNF‐α], and interleukin 8 [IL‐8]), an increase in serum interleukin 10 (IL‐10) levels, and a decrease in the expression of inflammasome NOD‐like receptor pyrin 3 (NLRP3). In addition, our cell experiments showed that EBN attenuated cigarette smoke‐induced pulmonary inflammation mainly by inhibiting the tumor necrosis factor receptor 1 (TNFR1)/nuclear factor‐kappa B (NF‐κB)/NLRP3 pathway. These findings provide theoretical evidence for the positive nutritional qualities of EBN for the lung by demonstrating that it inhibits the TNFR1/NF‐κB/NLRP3 signaling pathway, which prevents the development of cigarette smoke‐induced pulmonary inflammation. Diabetic nephropathy (DN) is a primary diabetic complication ascribed to the pathological changes in renal microvessels. This study investigated the nuclear factor erythroid 2‐related factor 2 (Nrf2)/Kelch ECH associating protein (Keap1)/antioxidant response element (ARE) signaling pathway impact of chitooligosaccharides (COS) with a certain degree of polymerization (DP) on DN mouse models and high glucose‐damaged human kidney 2 (HK‐2) cells. The findings indicated that COS effectively reduced the renal function indexes (uric acid [UA], urinary albumin excretion rate [UAER], urine albumin‐to‐creatinine ratio [UACR], blood urea nitrogen [BUN], and creatinine [Cre]) of DN mice. It increased (p <.05) the superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GSH‐Px), and catalase (CAT) antioxidant enzyme activity in the serum and kidneys, and decreased (p <.05) the malondialdehyde (MDA) content. The mechanistic investigation showed that COS significantly increased (p <.05) Nrf2 and downstream target gene (GCLM, GCLC, HO‐1, and NQO‐1) expression, and substantially decreased (p <.05) Keap1 expression. The protein level was consistent with the messenger RNA (mRNA) level in in vitro and in vivo models. The docking data indicated that COS and Keap1 protein binding included six hydrogen bond formation processes (Gly364, Arg415, Arg483, His436, Ser431, and Arg380). The COS intervention mechanism may be related to the Nrf2/Keap1/ARE antioxidant pathway. Background: Due to the unfavorable prognosis associated with lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), the development of targeted therapies and immunotherapies is essential. Cuproptosis, an emerging form of regulated cell death, is implicated in mitochondrial metabolism and is induced by copper ions. This study aimed to explore the prognostic value of cuproptosis‐ and immune‐related genes (CIRGs) in LUAD. Methods: We used The Cancer Genome Atlas database to develop a prognostic prediction model for LUAD patients based on eight CIRGs. Using Cox regression analysis, we determined that the CIRG signature is a reliable, independent prognostic factor. We further identified PSMD11 as a critical CIRG and performed immunohistochemistry to study the protein expression levels of PSMD11 in LUAD tissues. We also investigated the impact of PSMD11 on the biological behavior of lung cancer cell lines. Results: We found that patients with low PSMD11 expression levels displayed an improved prognosis compared with those with high PSMD11 expression levels. Overexpression of PSMD11 enhanced proliferation, migration, invasion, and tumor growth of lung carcinoma cell line A549, while PSMD11 knockdown diminished proliferation, migration, invasion, and tumor growth of lung carcinoma cell line PC9. Additionally, we discovered that PSMD11 expression was positively correlated with the infiltration of myeloid‐derived suppressor cells and the increased expression of immunosuppressive molecules. Aim: This study aims to investigate α‐fetoprotein (AFP) trajectories for prediction of survival outcomes after hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) treatment in large hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods: From May 2014 to June 2020, 889 eligible patients with large HCC underwent HAIC were retrospectively enrolled from five hospitals. A latent class growth mixed (LCGM) model was applied to distinguish potential AFP level dynamic changing trajectories. Inverse‐probability‐of‐treatment weighted (IPTW) analyses were performed to eliminate unmeasured confounders through marginal structural models. Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses were used to determine the overall survival (OS) in patients with large HCC. Performance of these serum markers for survival prediction was compared by areas under receiver operating characteristic analysis with the Delong test. Results: The median follow‐up time was 23.7 (interquartile range, 3.8–115.3). A total of 1009 patients with large HCC, who underwent HAIC with AFP repeatedly measured 3–10 times, were enrolled in the study. Three distinct trajectories of these serum AFP were identified using the LCGM model: high stable (37.0%; n = 373), low stable (15.7%; n = 159), and sharp‐falling (47.3%; n = 477). Multivariate Cox proportional hazard regression analyses found that ALBI stage 2–3, BCLC‐C stage and high‐stable AFP trajectories were associated with OS. AFP trajectories yield the optimal predictive performance in all risk factors. Conclusions: The AFP trajectories based on longitudinal AFP change showed outstanding performance for predicting survival outcomes after HAIC treatment in large HCC, which provide a potential monitoring tool for improving clinical decision‐making. In this study, we discovered a fungal CYP450 (CpsD) and its associated cps cluster from 37208 CYP450s of Pfam PF00067 family member database and subsequently identified a group of new skeleton indole piperazine alkaloids (campesines A−G) by combination of genome mining and heterologous synthesis. Importantly, CYP450 CpsD mainly catalyzes intermolecular oxidative heterocoupling of two different indole piperazine monomers to generate an unexpected 6/5/6/6/6/6/5/6 eight‐ring scaffold through the formation of one C−C bond and two C−N bonds, illuminating its first dimerase role in this family of natural products. The proposed catalytic mechanism of CpsD was deeply investigated by diversified substrate derivatization. Moreover, dimeric campesine G shows good insecticidal activity against the global honeybee pest Galleria mellonella. Our study shows a representative example of discovering new skeleton monomeric and dimeric indole piperazine alkaloids from microbial resources, expands our knowledge of bond formation by CYP450s and supports further development of the newly discovered and engineered campesine family compounds as potential biopesticides. Herein, we proposed a new strategy of controlling the electrocatalytic pathways by lateral adsorbate interaction for the bio‐polyol oxidation. Redox‐innocent 1,1,1,3,3,3‐hexafluoro‐2‐propanol (HFIP) anion possesses the alcoholic property that facilely adsorbs on the nickel oxyhydroxide catalyst, but is resistant to oxidation due to the electron‐withdrawing trifluoromethyl groups. The alien HFIP adsorbents can compete with bio‐polyols and form a mixed adsorbate layer that creates lateral adsorbate interaction via hydrogen bonding, which achieved a >2‐fold enhancement of the oxalate selectivity to 55 % for the representative glycerol oxidation and can be extended to various bio‐polyol substrates. Through in situ spectroscopic analysis and DFT calculation on the glycerol oxidation, we reveal that the hydrogen‐bonded adsorbate interaction can effectively tune the adsorption energies and tailor the oxidation capabilities toward the targeted products. Through in situ spectroscopic analysis and DFT calculation on the glycerol oxidation, we reveal that the hydrogen‐bonded adsorbate interaction can effectively tune the adsorption energies and tailor the oxidation capabilities toward the targeted products. Interfacial modification is a key strategy for improving the performance of perovskite photovoltaic devices. While the modification of the top surface of the perovskite active layer is well established, engineering of the buried interface is highly challenging. Here, the spontaneous formation of a 1D/3D perovskite heterojunction at the buried interface of a perovskite active layer by incorporating choline acetate alongside the perovskite precursors is reported. Importantly, extensive spectroscopic and microscopic characterization and solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance experiments demonstrate the formation of phase‐pure 1D and 3D domains. The 1D/3D junction results in a suppression of the defect states and an improved energetic level alignment at the buried interface, leading to a maximum power conversion efficiency of >24% when incorporated in inverted architecture perovskite solar cells. Multi‐dimensional modulation of electromagnetic (EM) waves is critical in various fields such as electronic and photonic systems. Space‐time‐coding (STC) digital metasurfaces, an innovative platform for programmable metasurfaces, offer a straightforward and robust solution for spatio‐temporal modulation, thereby enabling EM‐wave manipulations in both space and frequency. Conventional STC schemes rely on periodic temporal modulations that are uniform in space (i.e., with same modulation frequency in all metasurface elements), and therefore do not take advantage of spatio‐temporal coupling effects that can be induced by non‐uniform periodic modulations (i.e., with different modulation frequencies across the metasurface elements). Here, a novel approach involving non‐uniform spatio‐temporal modulation, alongside co‐prime modulation, is introduced. This approach enhances the fundamental principles of STC digital metasurfaces and facilitates the synthesis of angular scattering responses across different frequencies, guided by harmonic coupling conditions. The proposed strategy results in a more even distribution of the scattered intensity in both space and frequency. For validation, an experimental proof‐of‐principle for spatial‐spectral diffuse scattering is presented. The experimental outcomes align closely with theoretical predictions, underscoring the effectiveness of co‐prime modulation in achieving ultralow‐scattering characteristics in STC digital metasurfaces. Micro‐Doppler effect is a vital feature of a target that reflects its oscillatory motions apart from bulk motion and provides an important evidence for target recognition with radars. However, establishing the micro‐Doppler database poses a great challenge, since plenty of experiments are required to get the micro‐Doppler signatures of different targets for the purpose of analyses and interpretations with radars, which are dramatically limited by high cost and time‐consuming. Aiming to overcome these limits, a low‐cost and powerful simulation platform of the micro‐Doppler effects is proposed based on time‐domain digital coding metasurface (TDCM). Owing to the outstanding capabilities of TDCM in generating and manipulating nonlinear harmonics during wave‐matter interactions, it enables to supply rich and high‐precision electromagnetic signals with multiple micro‐Doppler frequencies to describe the micro‐motions of different objects, which are especially favored for the training of artificial intelligence algorithms in automatic target recognition and benefit a host of applications like imaging and biosensing. Photocatalytic carbon‐carbon (C─C) coupling of benzyl alcohol is a promising means to coproduce the value‐added chemicals with H2 but is generally subject to low efficiency in terms of photon utilization. Here, efficient benzyl alcohol C─C coupling is achieved over Zn2In2S5 containing a tunable content of Zn vacancies (VZn). The VZn tends to form shallow defect states below the conduction band that can expedite photocarrier separation by collecting the photo‐generated electrons. The VZn‐collected electrons are essential for a high selectivity of the C─C coupling reactions because they enable a fast elimination of the byproduct benzaldehyde by catalyzing its reduction back to the ketyl radicals. Under simulated sunlight, the VZn‐containing Zn2In2S5 accomplishes ≈100% conversion of benzyl alcohol for merely 1 h and attains ≈100% selectivity for the C─C coupling compounds for 2 h, delivering an apparent quantum yield as high as 7.7% at 420 ± 20 nm. The benefits of VZn have also been verified by the theoretical calculations that indicate reduced energy barriers for various surface reactions in the presence of VZn. Herein, we report a nickel‐catalyzed intramolecular dual annulation reaction of alkyl nitrile‐containing 1,2,3‐benzotriazin‐4(3H)‐ones to synthesize polycyclic quinazolinones. This catalytic reaction can construct the core structure of polycyclic quinazolinone alkaloids; therefore, we also apply this reaction as the critical step to access fifteen relevant alkaloids to demonstrate efficacy. The heterojunction is a great approach to profit the photogenerated electrons and holes separation and then enhance the photoelectric current for the photochemical reactions, such as the hydrogen evolution reaction. The intrinsic of the enhanced electrons and hole separation is ascribed to the appropriate band alignment between the two contact materials and plenty of research has reported the different band alignments formed by the different contacted bulk nanomaterials. Few studies focus on the precious crystal structure‐related band alignment. Here, the polyheptazine structured g‐C3N4 together with the wurtzite CdS is investigated, and different band alignments are formed through the different exposed crystal planes of CdS. It is found that along with the annealing temperature, the CdS will dominantly expose with the (110) facets and then form the S‐scheme heterojunction with the g‐C3N4. The formed built‐in electric field between the valence band of CdS and the conductive band of g‐C3N4 accelerates the recombination between the photogenerated electrons from CdS and holes from g‐C3N4. Meanwhile, it promotes the separation of the photogenerated electrons with holes from g‐C3N4, resulting in the superior photocatalytic HER performance. Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are a group of highly conserved proteins found in a wide range of organisms. In recent years, members of the HSP family were overexpressed in various tumors and widely involved in oncogenesis, tumor development, and therapeutic resistance. In our previous study, DNAJC24, a member of the DNAJ/HSP40 family of HSPs, was found to be closely associated with the malignant phenotype of hepatocellular carcinoma. However, its relationship with other malignancies needs to be further explored. Herein, we demonstrated that DNAJC24 exhibited upregulated expression in LUAD tissue samples and predicted poor survival in LUAD patients. The upregulation of DNAJC24 expression promoted proliferation and invasion of LUAD cells in A549 and NCI‐H1299 cell lines. Further studies revealed that DNAJC24 could regulate the PI3K/AKT signaling pathway by affecting AKT phosphorylation. In addition, a series of experiments such as Co‐IP and mass spectrometry confirmed that DNAJC24 could directly interact with PCNA and promoted the malignant phenotypic transformation of LUAD. In conclusion, our results suggested that DNAJC24 played an important role in the progression of LUAD and may serve as a specific prognostic biomarker for LUAD patients. Intracellular bacterial (ICB) infection is one of the most life‐threatening cases of drug resistance, and photodynamic therapy (PDT) is challenged by limited light penetration into tissues and unspecific toxicity to host cells. Herein, theranostic nanoparticles (NPs) are developed to facilitate on‐demand activation of photosensitizers inside ICBs and persistent PDT of deep‐tissue ICB infections. Mechanoluminescent SrAl2O4:Eu2+ and persistence luminescent CaS:Eu2+ are sequentially deposited on mesoporous silica to prepare mSC, followed by encapsulation by bacterial membranes with loaded nitroreductase (NTR)‐activatable methylene blue (nMB) to obtain mSC‐nMB@BM NPs. The fluorescence quenching of nMB with mSC offers few cytotoxicities even under ultrasonication, and bacterial membrane coatings mediate the specific NP internalization into ICB‐infected macrophages. Bacterial pore‐forming toxins trigger nMB release from NPs, and intrabacterial NTR rejuvenates methylene blue probes from nMB for real‐time imaging of ICB infections. Ultrasonication of NPs continuously excites the rejuvenated methylene blue to generate reactive oxidative species and reduce viable ICBs by 3.54 log magnitude folds. NP treatment on ICB‐infected mice exhibits full survival and restores viscera functions without any pathological abnormality. Therefore, this concise NP design demonstrates capabilities of bacterial membrane‐mediated specific internalization, bacterial toxin‐triggered release and intrabacterial NTR‐rejuvenation of fluorescent probes, and persistent internal light‐illumination for ICB theranostics. Ion‐selective nanochannel membranes assembled from two‐dimensional (2D) nanosheets hold immense promise for power conversion using salinity gradient. However, they face challenges stemming from insufficient surface charge density, which impairs both permselectivity and durability. Herein, we present a novel vacancy‐engineered, oxygen‐deficient NiCo layered double hydroxide (NiCoLDH)/cellulose nanofibers‐wrapped carbon nanotubes (VOLDH/CNF‐CNT) composite membrane. This membrane, featuring abundant angstrom‐scale, cation‐selective nanochannels, is designed and fabricated through a synergistic combination of vacancy engineering and interfacial super‐assembly. The composite membrane shows interlayer free‐spacing of ~3.62 Å, which validates the membrane size exclusion selectivity. This strategy, validated by DFT calculations and experimental data, improves hydrophilicity and surface charge density, leading to the strong interaction with K+ ions to benefit the low ion transport resistance and exceptional charge selectivity. When employed in an artificial river water|seawater salinity gradient power generator, it delivers a high‐power density of 5.35 W/m2 with long‐term durability (20,000s), which is almost 400 % higher than that of the pristine NiCoLDH membrane. Furthermore, it displays both pH‐ and temperature‐sensitive ion transport behavior, offering additional opportunities for optimization. This work establishes a basis for high‐performance salinity gradient power conversion and underscores the potential of vacancy engineering and super‐assembly in customizing 2D nanomaterials for diverse advanced nanofluidic energy devices. N‐Heterocyclic amines have been known as an important class of nitrogen‐containing molecules with a wide range of applications. Described here is a mild and efficient electrochemical desulfurizative amination of readily accessible heteroaromatic thiols without necessity of metal catalyst. The key to success for this reaction is the in‐situ generation of a hypervalent iodine reagent as an organocatalyst from iodoarene by anodic oxidation. This mild desulfurizative amination presents ample substrate scope and good functional group tolerance without the use of extra stoichiometric chemical oxidants. As only electrons serve as the oxidation reagents, this method offers a straightforward and sustainable manner towards versatile N‐heterocyclic amines, including late‐stage functionalization of pharmaceutically relevant molecules. Background Methods Results Conclusion Insufficient occlusal support (IOS) frequently causes subchondral bone absorption in temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis, and the underlying mechanism requires further investigation.An IOS model was established by abrading rat molars. Micro‐computed tomography was used to evaluate subchondral bone changes. Osteoclastogenesis of synovium‐derived macrophages (SDMs) was confirmed by TRAP staining. Cartilage‐specific TNFα depletion was achieved by intra‐articular injection of adeno‐associated virus carrying shRNA against murine TNFα under control of collagen type II. In vitro, chondrocytes were mechanically compressed and conditioned medium (CM) was collected to detect its ability to induce osteoclastogenesis of SDMs.Synovial osteoclastogenesis and condyle resorption were observed following IOS. TNFα level was elevated in hypertrophic chondrocytes after IOS. Synovial Wnt5a level increased, but Wnt3a level decreased after IOS. Depletion of TNFα in chondrocytes alleviated the synovial osteoclastogenesis and condyle bone resorption. In vitro compression of chondrocytes potentiated TNFα expression and secretion. The CM promoted osteoclastogenesis of SDMs, which were partially prohibited by TNFα neutralizing antibody. Furthermore, inhibition of Wnt3a facilitated osteoclastogenesis, whereas inhibition of Wnt5a partially suppressed osteoclastogenesis, of SDMs cultured in CM.Chondrocyte‐secreted TNFα induced by IOS is a critical regulator of synovial osteoclastogenesis and subsequent condylar resorption, partially through non‐canonical Wnt5a pathway.
