Background: While surgery remains the primary treatment for oral squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC), induction chemotherapy (IC) can be used as a bridging or neoadjuvant therapy. This nationwide study in Taiwan examines the survival outcomes of OCSCC patients who received IC before surgery. Methods: We analyzed data from 29,891 patients with OCSCC. Of these, 29,058 initially underwent surgery (OP group), whereas 833 received IC before surgery (IC + OP group). A propensity score (PS)‐matched analysis (4, 1 ratio, 3260 vs. 815 patients) was performed considering tumor subsite, sex, age, Charlson comorbidity index, clinical T1–T4b tumors, clinical N0–3 disease, and clinical stage I–IV. Results: In the PS‐matched cohort, the 5‐year disease‐specific survival (DSS) and overall survival (OS) rates were 65% and 57%, respectively. When comparing the OP and IC + OP groups, the 5‐year DSS rates were 66% and 62%, respectively (p = 0.1162). Additionally, the 5‐year OS rates were 57% and 56%, respectively (p = 0.9917). No significant intergroup differences in survival were observed for specific subgroups with cT4a tumors, cT4b tumors, cN3 disease, pT4b tumors, and pN3 disease. However, for patients with pT4a tumors, the OP group demonstrated superior 5‐year outcomes compared to the IC + OP group, with a DSS of 62% versus 52% (p = 0.0006) and an OS of 53% versus 44% (p = 0.0060). Notably, patients with cT2–3, cN1, and c‐Stage II disease in the IC + OP group were significantly more likely to achieve pT0–1 status (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Following PS matching, the IC + OP group generally exhibited similar prognosis to the OP group. However, for pT4a tumors, the OP group showed superior 5‐year outcomes. Background: Elective tracheotomy is commonly performed in resected oral squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC) to maintain airway patency. However, the indications for this procedure vary among surgeons. This nationwide study evaluated the impact of tracheotomy on both the duration of in‐hospital stay and long‐term survival outcomes in patients with OCSCC. Methods: A total of 18,416 patients with OCSCC were included in the analysis, comprising 7981 patients who underwent elective tracheotomy and 10,435 who did not. The primary outcomes assessed were 5‐year disease‐specific survival (DSS) and overall survival (OS). To minimize potential confounding factors, a propensity score (PS)‐matched analysis was performed on 4301 patients from each group. The duration of hospital stay was not included as a variable in the PS‐matched analysis. Results: Prior to PS matching, patients with tracheotomy had significantly lower 5‐year DSS and OS rates compared to those without (71% vs. 82%, p < 0.0001; 62% vs. 75%, p < 0.0001, respectively). Multivariable analysis identified tracheotomy as an independent adverse prognostic factor for 5‐year DSS (hazard ratio = 1.10 [1.03–1.18], p = 0.0063) and OS (hazard ratio = 1.10 [1.04–1.17], p = 0.0015). In the PS‐matched cohort, the 5‐year DSS was 75% for patients with tracheotomy and 76% for those without (p = 0.1488). Five‐year OS rates were 66% and 67%, respectively (p = 0.0808). Prior to PS matching, patients with tracheotomy had a significantly longer mean hospital stay compared to those without (23.37 ± 10.56 days vs. 14.19 ± 8.34 days; p < 0.0001). Following PS matching, the difference in hospital stay duration between the two groups remained significant (22.34 ± 10.25 days vs. 17.59 ± 9.54 days; p < 0.0001). Background: To compare the clinical outcomes of two treatment modalities, initial surgery and primary definitive radiotherapy (RT), in Taiwanese patients diagnosed with cT1−2N0M0 oral cavity squamous cell carcinoma (OCSCC). Methods: Between 2011 and 2019, we analyzed data for 13,542 cT1−2N0M0 patients who underwent initial surgery (n = 13,542) or definitive RT with a dosage of at least 6600 cGy (n = 145) for the treatment of OCSCC. To account for baseline differences, we employed propensity score (PS) matching, resulting in two well‐balanced study groups (initial surgery, n = 580; definitive RT, n = 145). Results: Before PS matching, the 5‐year disease‐specific survival (DSS) rates were 88% for the surgery group and 58% for the RT group. After PS matching, the 5‐year DSS rates of the two groups were 86% and 58%, respectively. Similarly, the 5‐year overall survival (OS) rates before PS matching were 80% for the surgery group and 36% for the RT group, whereas after PS matching, they were 73% and 36%, respectively. All these differences were statistically significant (p < 0.0001). A multivariable analysis identified treatment with RT, older age, stage II tumors, and a higher burden of comorbidities as independent risk factors for both DSS and OS. We also examined the 5‐year outcomes for various subgroups (margin ≥5 mm, margin <5 mm, positive margins, RT combined with chemotherapy, and RT alone) as follows: DSS, 89%/88%/79%/63%/51%, respectively, p < 0.0001; OS, 82%/79%/68%/39%/32%, respectively, p < 0.0001. Conclusions: In Taiwanese patients with cT1−2N0M0 OCSCC, a remarkably low proportion (1.1%) completed definitive RT. A significant survival disparity of 30% was observed between patients who underwent initial surgery and those who received definitive RT. Introduction: Chronic physical disease (CPD) makes life filled with many negative events in adolescents, but not all adolescents experiencing negative life events proceed to develop emotional distress, only those with low emotional distress tolerance (EDT). A valid and reliable scale to measure EDT in CPD adolescents is important for caring for their emotional distress. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to translate the 15‐item English version Distress Tolerance Scale (DTS) into a Chinese version and then validate the scale for measuring EDT of adolescents with CPD. Methods: The 15‐item English version DTS was translated into a Chinese version using the translation guidelines for cross‐cultural research. Two cohorts of adolescents with CPD were recruited from four hospitals in southern Taiwan, with the first cohort including 124 adolescents with CPD employed to conduct exploratory factor analysis, corrected item‐total correlation and reliability testing, while the second cohort, consisting of 238 adolescents with CPD, was utilized to examine confirmatory factor analysis and concurrent validity. Results: The two‐factor nine‐item Chinese version DTS for Adolescents with CPD (C‐DTS‐A) was developed. Lower scores of the C‐DTS‐A were significantly associated with higher diabetes distress, poorer self‐management, and worse glycaemic control; their correlation coefficients sequentially were −.40,.17 and −.23. Cronbach's α and the test–retest reliability of the two‐factor C‐DTS‐A ranged from.81 to.87 and from.79 to.89, respectively. Transcriptional regulation plays a key role in the control of seed dormancy, and many transcription factors (TFs) have been documented. However, the mechanisms underlying the interactions between different TFs within a transcriptional complex regulating seed dormancy remain largely unknown. Here, we showed that TF PHYTOCHROME‐INTERACTING FACTOR4 (PIF4) physically interacted with the abscisic acid (ABA) signaling responsive TF ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE4 (ABI4) to act as a transcriptional complex to promote ABA biosynthesis and signaling, finally deepening primary seed dormancy. Both pif4 and abi4 single mutants exhibited a decreased primary seed dormancy phenotype, with a synergistic effect in the pif4/abi4 double mutant. PIF4 binds to ABI4 to form a heterodimer, and ABI4 stabilizes PIF4 at the protein level, whereas PIF4 does not affect the protein stabilization of ABI4. Subsequently, both TFs independently and synergistically promoted the expression of ABI4 and NCED6, a key gene for ABA anabolism. The genetic evidence is also consistent with the phenotypic, physiological and biochemical analysis results. Altogether, this study revealed a transcriptional regulatory cascade in which the PIF4–ABI4 transcriptional activator complex synergistically enhanced seed dormancy by facilitating ABA biosynthesis and signaling. Purpose: Contrast‐enhanced spectral imaging (CEM) is a new mammography technique, but its diagnostic value in dense breasts is still inconclusive. We did a systematic review and meta‐analysis of studies evaluating the diagnostic performance of CEM for suspicious findings in dense breasts. Materials and Methods: The PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases were searched systematically until August 6, 2023. Prospective and retrospective studies were included to evaluate the diagnostic performance of CEM for suspicious findings in dense breasts. The QUADAS‐2 tool was used to evaluate the quality and risk of bias of the included studies. STATA V.16.0 and Review Manager V.5.3 were used to meta‐analyze the included studies. Results: A total of 10 studies (827 patients, 958 lesions) were included. These 10 studies reported the diagnostic performance of CEM for the workup of suspicious lesions in patients with dense breasts. The summary sensitivity and summary specificity were 0.95 (95% CI, 0.92–0.97) and 0.81 (95% CI, 0.70–0.89), respectively. Enhanced lesions, circumscribed margins, and malignancy were statistically correlated. The relative malignancy OR value of the enhanced lesions was 28.11 (95% CI, 6.84–115.48). The relative malignancy OR value of circumscribed margins was 0.17 (95% CI, 0.07–0.45). Conclusion: CEM has high diagnostic performance in the workup of suspicious findings in dense breasts, and when lesions are enhanced and have irregular margins, they are often malignant. γδ T cells are evolutionarily conserved T lymphocytes that manifest unique antitumor efficacy independent of tumor mutation burden (TMB) and conventional human leukocyte antigen (HLA) recognition. However, the dynamic changes in their T cell receptor (TCR) repertoire during cancer progression and treatment courses remain unclear. Here, a comprehensive characterization of γδTCR repertoires are performed in thyroid cancers with divergent differentiation states through cross‐sectional studies. The findings revealed a significant correlation between the differentiation states and TCR repertoire diversity. Notably, highly expanded clones are prominently enriched in γδ T cell compartment of dedifferentiated patients. Moreover, by longitudinal investigations of the γδ T cell response to various antitumor therapies, it is found that the emergence and expansion of the Vδ2neg subset may be potentially associated with favorable clinical outcomes after post‐radiotherapeutic immunotherapy. These findings are further validated at single‐cell resolution in both advanced thyroid cancer patients and a murine model, underlining the importance of further investigations into the role of γδTCR in cancer immunity and therapeutic strategies. A nonparametric method proposed by DeLong et al in 1988 for comparing areas under correlated receiver operating characteristic curves is used widely in practice. However, the DeLong method as implemented in popular software quietly deletes individuals with any missing values, yielding potentially invalid and/or inefficient results. We simplify the DeLong algorithm using ranks and extend it to accommodate missing data by using a mixed model approach for multivariate data. Simulation results demonstrate the validity and efficiency of our procedure for data missing at random. We illustrate our proposed procedure in SAS, Stata, and R using the original DeLong data. To solve problems such as inadequate proppant carrying capacity, a complex viscosity changing process, and limited environmental friendliness associated with traditional slick water fracturing fluids, a variable viscosity friction reducer called Jianghan friction reducer (JHFR) with low damage, high drag reduction, and strong proppant‐carrying capacity is prepared by inverse emulsion polymerization. The properties of JHFR are investigated by viscometer, JHFR‐II high‐temperature and high‐pressure slick water drag reduction rate tester, surface tension meter, and JHCQ Core dynamic damage evaluation device. The result shows that the dissolution time of JHFR is less than 120 s. The drag reduction of 0.08 wt% JHFR (4.83 mPa s) is 80.3%. When the concentration of JHFR increases from 0.08 to 0.8 wt %, the viscosity of the JHFR increases from 4.83to 97.41 mPa s. After sheared at 90°C and 170 s−1 for 60 min, the viscosity of 0.8 wt% JHFR still maintains 51 mPa s. The damage rate of JHFR to core matrix permeability is lower than 30%. JHFR also shows the advantages of easy breakage and low residue. It provides guidance for the design and selection of fracturing fluid for unconventional oil and gas reservoir development. Summary: Kiwifruit ripening is a complex and highly coordinated process that occurs in conjunction with the formation of fruit edible quality. The significance of epigenetic changes, particularly the impact of N6‐methyladenosine (m6A) RNA modification on fruit ripening and quality formation, has been largely overlooked.We monitored m6A levels and gene expression changes in kiwifruit at four different stages using LC‐MS/MS, MeRIP, RNA‐seq, and validated the function of AcALKBH10 through heterologous transgenic expression in tomato.Notable m6A modifications occurred predominantly at the stop codons and the 3′ UTRs and exhibited a gradual reduction in m6A levels during the fruit ripening process. Moreover, these m6A modifications in the aforementioned sites demonstrated a discernible inverse relationship with the levels of mRNA abundance throughout the ripening process, suggesting a repression effect of m6A modification in the modulation of kiwifruit ripening.We further demonstrated that AcALKBH10 rather than AcECT9 predominantly regulates m6A levels in ripening‐related genes, thereby exerting the regulatory control over the ripening process and the accumulation of soluble sugars and organic acids, ultimately influencing fruit ripening and quality formation. In conclusion, our findings illuminate the epi‐regulatory mechanism involving m6A in kiwifruit ripening, offering a fresh perspective for cultivating high‐quality kiwifruit with enhanced nutritional attributes. Epidemiological evidence regarding the relationship between coffee and tea consumption and the risk of ovarian cancer (OC) is inconsistent. Therefore, we aimed to quantitatively investigate this topic in a large prospective cohort study. This cohort study included 24,715 individuals recruited from the Prostate, Lung, Colorectal, and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trials between 1993 and 2001. The data used for our analysis included the latest follow‐up information collected up to 2015. Coffee intake of ≥4 cups/day (hazard ratio [HR], 0.586; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 0.356–0.966) or caffeine intake of 458.787 mg/day (HR, 0.607; 95% CI: 0.411–0.895) were associated with the lowest HR of incident OC in the fully adjusted model. Participants who consumed varying amounts of tea did not exhibit a statistically significant reduction in the risk of OC. Our findings suggest that a higher consumption of coffee or caffeine is associated with a reduced risk of OC. Objective Methods Results Conclusions This study aimed to explore the impact of physical activity on health among older adults in urban and rural areas in Taiwan.This study employed a cross‐sectional design and data were analyzed from 2015 to 2019 from the Hualien County Health Bureau. Participants were divided into urban (n = 4780) and rural groups (n = 4983), and logistic regression models were employed to examine how physical activity relates to their health condition in urban and rural older adults.Results indicated lower physical activity levels and higher unhealthy behavior rate in rural older adults compared to their urban counterparts. Rural older adults had higher rates of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes but lower rates of mental illness. Physical activity demonstrated greater physical health benefits for urban older adults than rural older people. Conversely, rural individuals who engaged in physical activity 150 min/week exhibited greater mental health benefits than their urban counterparts.Physical activity offers significant mental health benefits for both urban and rural older adults; however, notable improvements in physical health among urban older adults was found. If in the presence of unhealthy behaviors, regular physical activity may not effectively prevent chronic diseases. It is crucial to promote physical activity and healthy behaviors in rural areas. Objective Background Methods Results Conclusion To determine sex differences in clinical profiles and treatment outcomes in patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension.Spontaneous intracranial hypotension is associated with considerable functional disability and potentially fatal complications, and it is uncertain whether males and females should be managed differently.This was a cohort study of consecutive patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension enrolled from a medical center. Medical records and imaging findings were reviewed. The outcome of treatment responses to epidural blood patches and risks of subdural hematoma were measured.In total, 442 patients with spontaneous intracranial hypotension (165 males, 277 females) were included in the analysis. Males were more likely to have a delayed (>30 days) initial presentation than females (32.1% [53/165] vs. 19.9% [55/277], p = 0.004), and males were less likely to have nausea (55.8% [92/165] vs. 67.1% [186/277], p = 0.016), vomiting (43.0% [71/165] vs. 54.2% [150/277], p = 0.024), photophobia (9.7% [16/165] vs. 17.0% [47/277], p = 0.034), and tinnitus (26.7% [44/165] vs. 39.7% [110/277], p = 0.005) compared with females despite comparable radiologic findings. Among the 374 patients treated with epidural blood patches, males were more likely to be nonresponders to the first epidural blood patch (58.0% [80/138] vs. 39.0% [92/236], OR = 2.2, 95% CI = 1.4–3.3, p < 0.001). Males were at a higher risk of having subdural hematoma (29.7% [49/165] vs. 10.8% [30/277], OR = 3.5, 95% CI = 2.1–5.8, p < 0.001). Among patients with subdural hematoma, males had greater thickness (12.8 ± 4.3 vs. 8.1 ± 5.9 mm, p < 0.001) and were more likely to receive surgical drainage (55.1% [27/49] vs. 10.0% [3/30], OR = 11.0, 95% CI = 3.0–41.3, p < 0.001) than females.In the present study, spontaneous intracranial hypotension in males was characterized by a delayed presentation, poorer response to the first epidural blood patch, and a higher risk of subdural hematoma. Objective Methods Results Conclusions Our objective was to evaluate the trajectory of immunology in patients with HIV with different baseline CD4 T‐cell count strata after antiretroviral therapy (ART) under long‐term viral suppression.This was a sub‐analysis focused on patients with virological suppression for at least 5 years after ART. Data were obtained from the Yunnan HIV cohort in China. Patients were categorized according to prespecified baseline CD4 T‐cell counts. The trajectories of CD4 T‐cell count, CD8 T‐cell count, and CD4/CD8 ratio changing over time were fitted using a B‐spline regression model. The Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to assess the association of baseline CD4 T‐cell count with the risk of both immunological responder (IR) and CD4/CD8 ratio normalization.A total of 2618 patients with a median follow‐up of 7.25 years (interquartile range [IQR] 5.92–8.75) were included. Over a period of 12 years, the mean CD4 T‐cell count remained above 500 cells/μL in all groups. The mean CD4/CD8 ratio was solely normalized in patients whose baseline CD4 T‐cell counts were above 350 cells/μL. Patients with higher baseline CD4 T‐cell counts showed higher risks of both IR and CD4/CD8 ratio normalization than those with the lowest (all p trend <0.001). A higher baseline CD4 T‐cell count predicted a shorter time for both IR and CD4/CD8 ratio normalization.Long‐term, sustained viral suppression may not be able to fully normalize immunological functions in patients with HIV. Blackbody‐sensitive uncooled infrared photodetectors with ultra‐broadband and ultrafast photoresponse have a profound impact on many areas of modern science and technology. However, it is a big challenge for both traditional photodetectors and emerging low‐dimensional ones to simultaneously have all the above characteristics. Here, this challenge is addressed by establishing a Te/WTe2 heterostructure photodetector. The built‐in field of the heterostructure and the crossing conduction and valence bands of WTe2 jointly result in a high responsivity and a visible‐to‐long‐wavelength‐infrared photoresponse range. The peak responsivity (at the 3.3 µm wavelength) reaches 914 mA W−1 at zero bias and 8.51 A W−1 at 2 V bias. Further, the joint action coupled with the high mobility of Te and WTe2 promotes the 3‐dB bandwidth to 153 kHz. The self‐powered blackbody responsivity and specific detectivity reach 235.7 mA W−1 and 1.1 × 108 cm Hz1/2 W−1, respectively. The former increases to 5.82 A W−1 at 1 V bias. Moreover, this device is polarization‐sensitive with a contrast ratio of 2. How to coordinate electron and ion transport behavior across scales and interfaces within ion battery electrodes? The exponential increase in surface area observed in nanoscale electrode materials results in an incomprehensibly vast spatial interval. Herein, to address the problems of volume expansion, dissolution of cathode material, and the charge accumulation problem existing in manganiferous materials for zinc ion batteries, metal organic framework is utilized to form the architecture of non‐interfacial blocking ~10 nm Mn2O3 nanoparticles and amorphous carbon hybrid electrode materials, demonstrating a high specific capacity of 361 mAh g−1 (0.1 A g−1), and excellent cycle stability of 105 mAh g−1 after 2000 cycles under 1 A g−1. The uniform and non‐separated disposition of Mn and C atoms constitutes an interconnected network with high electronic and ionic conductivity, minimizing issues like structural collapse and volume expansion of the electrode material during cycling. The cooperative insert mechanism of H+ and Zn2+ are analyzed via ex‐situ XRD and in‐situ Raman tests. The model battery is assembled to present practical possibilities. Carborane compounds, known for their exceptional thermal stability and non‐toxic attributes, have garnered widespread utility in medicine, supramolecular design, coordination/organometallic chemistry, and others. Although there is considerable interest among chemists, the integration of suitable carborane molecules into ferroelectric materials remains a formidable challenge. In this study, we employ the quasi‐spherical design strategy to introduce functional groups at the boron vertices of the o‐carborane cage, aiming to reduce molecular symmetry. This approach led to the successful synthesis of the pioneering ferroelectric crystals composed of cage‐like carboranes: 9‐OH‐o‐carborane (1) and 9‐SH‐o‐carborane (2), which undergo above‐room ferroelectric phase transitions (Tc) at approximately 367 K and 347 K. Interestingly, 1 and 2 represent uniaxial and multiaxial ferroelectrics respectively, with 2 exhibiting six polar axes and as many as twelve equivalent polarization directions. As the pioneering instance of carborane ferroelectric crystals, this study introduces a novel structural archetype for molecular ferroelectrics, thereby providing fresh insights into the exploration of molecular ferroelectric crystals with promising applications. Antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) have demonstrated effectiveness in treating various cancers, particularly exhibiting specificity in targeting human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)‐positive breast cancer. Recent advancements in phase 3 clinical trials have broadened current understanding of ADCs, especially trastuzumab deruxtecan, in treating other HER2‐expressing malignancies. This expansion of knowledge has led to the US Food and Drug Administration's approval of trastuzumab deruxtecan for HER2‐positive and HER2‐low breast cancer, HER2‐positive gastric cancer, and HER2‐mutant nonsmall cell lung cancer. Concurrent with the increasing use of ADCs in oncology, there is growing concern among health care professionals regarding the rise in the incidence of interstitial lung disease or pneumonitis (ILD/p), which is associated with anti‐HER2 ADC therapy. Studies on anti‐HER2 ADCs have reported varying ILD/p mortality rates. Consequently, it is crucial to establish guidelines for the diagnosis and management of ILD/p in patients receiving anti‐HER2 ADC therapy. To this end, a panel of Chinese experts was convened to formulate a strategic approach for the identification and management of ILD/p in patients treated with anti‐HER2 ADC therapy. This report presents the expert panel's opinions and recommendations, which are intended to guide the management of ILD/p induced by anti‐HER2 ADC therapy in clinical practice. Antihuman epidermal growth factor receptor 2 antibody–drug conjugate therapies offer significant benefits for treating human epidermal growth factor receptor 2‐positive cancers but carry risks of interstitial lung disease/pneumonitis, which, although generally manageable, requires strict adherence to evaluation and treatment guidelines to mitigate severe outcomes. Accumulating evidence suggests that electroacupuncture (EA) has obvious therapeutic effects and unique advantages in alleviating myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury (MIRI), while the underlying neuromolecular mechanisms of EA intervention for MIRI have not been fully elucidated. The aim of the study is to investigate the role of the neural pathway of hypothalamic paraventricular nucleus (PVN) neurons projecting to the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) in the alleviation of MIRI rats by EA preconditioning. MIRI models were established by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery for 30 min followed by reperfusion for 2 h. Electrocardiogram recording, chemogenetics, enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay, multichannel physiology recording and haematoxylin–eosin and immunofluorescence staining methods were conducted to demonstrate that the firing frequencies of neurons in the PVN and the expression of c‐Fos decreased by EA pretreatment. Meanwhile, EA preconditioning significantly reduced the levels of creatine kinase isoenzymes (CK‐MB), cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and lactic dehydrogenase (LDH). Virus tracing showed a projection connection between PVN and RVLM. The inhibition of the PVN‐RVLM neural pathway could replicate the protective effect of EA pretreatment on MIRI rats. However, the activation of the pathway weakened the effect of EA preconditioning. EA pretreatment alleviated MIRI by regulating PVN neurons projecting to RVLM. C4 NAD‐malic enzyme (NAD‐ME) species occurs in drier regions and exhibit different drought responses compared to C4 NADP‐malic enzyme (NADP‐ME) species. However, a physiological mechanism explaining the geographical discrepancies remains uncertain. This study examined gas exchange patterns that might explain different distributions observed between two subtypes of C4 photosynthesis. We measured the response of leaf gas exchange to vapour pressure deficit (VPD) and CO2 in plants from six distinct C4 clades having closely related NAD‐ME and NADP‐ME species using a Li‐Cor 6400 gas exchange system. We found that NAD‐ME species exhibited greater relative reductions in stomatal conductance with increases in VPD than NADP‐ME species but observed no consistent subtype differences in C4 cycle activity as indicated by the initial slope of the A response to intercellular CO2 concentration. Based on these results, we hypothesise the greater response of gs to increasing VPD may enable NAD‐ME plants to outperform NADP‐ME plants in hot, dry environments where VPD is normally high. Summary statement: NAD‐malic enzyme (NAD‐ME) C4 species have more sensitive stomatal closures in response to increasing vapour pressure deficit than NADP‐malic enzyme C4 species which may explain why NAD‐ME grass species are found in drier areas than NADP‐ME species. In this study, biochars with different structures were prepared through HNO3 oxidation and secondary pyrolysis to study the relationship between the structure of biochar and its selectivity for the adsorption of light and heavy aromatics in bio‐oil. The results showed that the adsorption rates of biochar with different structures ranged from 2.90 to 4.00 g bio‐oil per g biochar. The influence of pore structure was dominant, followed by the influence of O‐containing functional groups and the degree of graphitization. The higher the adsorption capacity of biochar for bio‐oil, the smaller the concentrations of the light aromatic model compounds in the absorbed bio‐oil (ABO). Among the five light aromatics, biochar has the best adsorption selectivity for dihydroxybiphenyl and the worst for eugenol and propyl phenol. This is attributed to the diphenyl ring structure of dihydroxybiphenyl, which makes it more susceptible to adsorption, and other light model compounds only have one benzene ring. In summary, biochar demonstrates better adsorption selectivity for heavy aromatics than light aromatics. The more developed the pore structure is, the more enriched O‐containing functional groups are, and the higher the graphitization degree of biochar is, the better the selective adsorption of aromatic compounds in bio‐oil. The aim of this study is to apply a new approach to the quantitative analysis of the formation of gaseous products generated during the thermochemical conversion of wood waste samples of different fineness by using thermogravimetric analysis with mass spectrometry (TGA‐MS). Profiles of the release of gaseous components in the process of thermochemical conversion of wood samples were obtained based on data from the combined use of mass spectrometry and thermogravimetry. The resulting mass spectrometric data were processed according to the proposed methodology and the characteristics of the released gases were noted. Poly(lactide‐co‐glycolide) (PLGA) is a biodegradable copolymer and widely used in pharmaceuticals. Commercially available PLGAs are produced through ring‐opening polymerization, which results in inevitable dispersity in molecular weight and chemical composition (i.e., lactide‐to‐glycolide ratio), influencing bulk properties such as degradation, mechanics, and morphology. In this study, an automated chromatographic separation technique was employed to generate a series of well‐defined, low‐dispersity fractionated PLGAs from a single commercially available PLGA (lactide‐to‐glycolide ratio = 50:50). The structural and compositional dependence of properties for pharmaceutical applications in the form of nanofibers and nanoparticles were systematically investigated. The properties of new PLGAs by further separation were significantly dependent on composition. The molecular weight ranges were reduced, while the morphology of nanofibers and nanoparticles became more uniform. Importantly, the stability, mechanical strength, and drug loading increased, and the period of sustained release profile also increased. In brief, our data show that the automated chromatographic separation technique allows for precise control of the molecular weight and lactide‐to‐glycolide composition ratio of PLGA, in contrast to the traditional method. Aim: We conducted a multicenter study on classical laparoscopic and endoscopic cooperative surgery (LECS) and LECS‐related procedures to retrospectively clarify the safety, problems, and mid‐term outcomes of these methods after their coverage by the national health insurance. Methods: A total of 201 patients who underwent classical LECS/LECS‐related procedures for gastric submucosal tumors (G‐SMTs) in 21 institutions affiliated with the Laparoscopy Endoscopy Cooperative Surgery Study Group from April 2014 to March 2016 were included. Data was retrospectively obtained from the patients' charts. Results: The most common surgical procedure was classical LECS (155 patients, 77.1%), non‐exposed endoscopic wall inversion surgery (22 patients, 11.4%), a combination of laparoscopic and endoscopic approaches to neoplasia with non‐exposure technique (16 patients, 8%), and closed LECS (two patients, 1%). Only six (3%) patients underwent LECS with gastrostomy. The mean operative time and blood loss were 188.4 (70–462) minutes and 23.3 (0–793) g, respectively. Ten (5%) patients developed postoperative complications (Clavien–Dindo classification grade II or higher). Two patients needed reoperation due to postoperative bleeding or anastomotic leakage. All tumors were resected with negative margins. A total of 127 (63.2%) patients underwent follow‐up observations for over 36 months, one of whom had a recurrence of peritoneal dissemination and one had poor oral intake. Conclusion: Classical LECS and LECS‐related procedures for G‐SMTs have favorable short/mid‐term outcomes. Background: To date, a consensus on the relative efficacy and safety of CO2 fractional laser versus erbium‐doped yttrium aluminum garnet (Er:YAG) fractional laser treatments for atrophic acne scars has not been reached. This meta‐analysis aims to systematically assess and compare their effectiveness and safety in clinical practice. Methods: For this meta‐analysis, we conducted comprehensive searches in Pubmed, Embase, and Cochrane databases, covering publications from their inception up to August 2023. Our focus was on studies comparing fractional CO2 laser with Er:YAG fractional laser treatments for atrophic acne scars. We excluded duplicate publications, research lacking full‐text access, incomplete data, or cases where data extraction was not feasible. Additionally, animal experiments, reviews, and systematic reviews were not considered. Data analysis was performed using STATA 15.1. Results: Eight studies (seven randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and a retrospective study) were included in this meta‐analysis. The sample size ranged from 28 to 106 with a total of 418 patients, including 210 in the CO2 fractional group and 208 in Er:YAG fractional group. The pooled results showed that the effective rate of CO2 fractional laser in treating atrophic acne scar was significantly higher than that of Er:YAG fractional laser (OR = 1.81, 95% CI: 1.08–3.01) and the downtime of CO2 fractional laser in treating atrophic acne scar was significantly shorter than that of Er:YAG fractional laser (Weighted Mean Difference (WMD) = −2.11, 95% CI: −3.11 to −1.10). In addition, VAS of CO2 fractional laser in treating atrophic acne scar was significantly higher than that of Er:YAG fractional laser (WMD = 1.77, 95% CI: 1.32–2.21) and the duration of erythema of CO2 fractional laser in treating atrophic acne scar was significantly longer than that of Er:YAG fractional laser (WMD = 1.85, 95% CI: 1.63–2.07). However, there was no significant difference in the duration of pain and incidence of PIHbetween CO2 fractional laser and of Er:YAG fractional laser. Conclusion: When it comes to treating atrophic acne scars, CO2 fractional laser demonstrates superior efficacy and leads to shorter downtime. However, it is important to note that CO2 fractional laser treatments tend to result in higher pain intensity and may carry a higher risk of post‐treatment pigmentation compared to Er:YAG fractional laser procedures. Spatial hindrance‐based pro‐antibodies (pro‐Abs) are engineered antibodies to reduce monoclonal antibodies' (mAbs) on‐target toxicity using universal designed blocking segments that mask mAb antigen‐binding sites through spatial hindrance. By linking through protease substrates and linkers, these blocking segments can be removed site‐specifically. Although many types of blocking segments have been developed, such as coiled‐coil and hinge‐based Ab locks, the molecular structure of the pro‐Ab, particularly the region showing how the blocking fragment blocks the mAb, has not been elucidated by X‐ray crystallography or cryo‐EM. To achieve maximal effect, a pro‐Ab must have high antigen‐blocking and protease‐restoring efficiencies, but the unclear structure limits its further optimization. Here, we utilized molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to study the dynamic structures of a hinge‐based Ab lock pro‐Ab, pro‐Nivolumab, and validated the simulated structures with small‐ and wide‐angle X‐ray scattering (SWAXS). The MD results were closely consistent with SWAXS data (χ2best‐fit = 1.845, χ2allMD = 3.080). The further analysis shows a pronounced flexibility of the Ab lock (root‐mean‐square deviation = 10.90 Å), yet it still masks the important antigen‐binding residues by 57.3%–88.4%, explaining its 250‐folded antigen‐blocking efficiency. The introduced protease accessible surface area method affirmed better protease efficiency for light chain (33.03 Å2) over heavy chain (5.06 Å2), which aligns with the experiments. Overall, we developed MD‐SWAXS validation method to study the dynamics of flexible blocking segments and introduced methodologies to estimate their antigen‐blocking and protease‐restoring efficiencies, which would potentially be advancing the clinical applications of any spatial hindrance‐based pro‐Ab. Overexpression of T‐cell immunoglobulin and mucin‐domain containing‐3 (TIM‐3) on T cells has been observed in smokers. However, whether and how galectin‐9 (Gal‐9)/TIM‐3 signal between T‐regulatory cells (Tregs) and type 17 helper (Th17) cells contributes to tobacco smoke‐induced airway inflammation remains unclear. Here, we aimed to explore the role of the Gal‐9/TIM‐3 signal between Tregs and Th17 cells during chronic tobacco smoke exposure. Tregs phenotype and the expression of TIM‐3 on CD4+ T cells were detected in a mouse model of experimental emphysema. The role of TIM‐3 in CD4+ T cells was explored in a HAVCR2−/− mouse model and in mice that received recombinant anti‐TIM3. The crosstalk between Gal‐9 and Tim‐3 was evaluated by coculture Tregs with effector CD4+ T cells. We also invested the expression of Gal‐9 in Tregs in patients with COPD. Our study revealed that chronic tobacco smoke exposure significantly reduces the frequency of Tregs in the lungs of mice and remarkably shapes the heterogeneity of Tregs by downregulating the expression of Gal‐9. We observed a pro‐inflammatory but restrained phenotypic transition of CD4+ T cells after tobacco smoke exposure, which was maintained by TIM‐3. The restrained phenotype of CD4+ T cells was perturbed when TIM‐3 was deleted or neutralised. Tregs from the lungs of mice with emphysema displayed a blunt ability to inhibit the differentiation and proliferation of Th17 cells. The inhibitory function of Tregs was partially restored by using recombinant Gal‐9. The interaction between Gal‐9 and TIM‐3 inhibits the differentiation of Th17 cells and promotes apoptosis of CD4+ T cells, possibly by interfering with the expression of retinoic acid receptor‐related orphan receptor gamma t. The expression of Gal‐9 in Tregs was reduced in patients with COPD, which was associated with Th17 response and lung function. These findings present a new paradigm that impairment of Gal‐9/Tim‐3 crosstalk between Tregs and Th17 cells during chronic tobacco smoke exposure promotes tobacco smoke‐induced airway/lung inflammation. BACKGROUND: Potato virus Y (PVY) is a prominent representative of plant viruses. It can inflict severe damage upon Solanaceae plants, leading to global dissemination and substantial economic losses. To discover new antiviral agents, a class of planar chiral thiourea molecules through the key step of N‐heterocyclic carbene‐catalyzed nitrile formation reaction was synthesized with excellent optical purities for antiviral evaluations against plant virus PVY. RESULTS: The absolute configurations of the planar chiral compounds exhibited obvious distinctions in the anti‐PVY activities. Notability, compound (S)‐4u exhibited remarkable curative activities against PVY, with a half maximal effective concentration (EC50) of 349.3 μg mL−1, which was lower than that of the ningnanmycin (NNM) (EC50 = 400.8 μg mL−1). Additionally, The EC50 value for the protective effects of (S)‐4u was 146.2 μg mL−1, which was superior to that of NNM (276.4 μg mL−1). Furthermore, the mechanism‐of‐action of enantiomers of planar chiral compound 4u was investigated through molecular docking, defensive enzyme activity tests and chlorophyll content tests. CONCLUSION: Biological mechanism studies have demonstrated that the configuration of planar chiral target compounds plays a crucial role in the molecular interaction with PVY‐CP, enhancing the activity of defense enzymes and affecting chlorophyll content. The current study has provided significant insights into the roles played by planar chiralities in plant protection against viruses. BACKGROUND: Aedes aegypti is a widespread mosquito in tropical and subtropical regions that causes significant mortality and morbidity in humans by transmitting diseases, such as dengue fever and Zika virus disease. Synthetic insecticides, such as pyrethroids, have been used to control Ae. aegypti, but these insecticides can also affect nontarget organisms and contaminate soil and water. This study aimed to investigate the mosquitocidal activity of Pseudomonas mosselii isolated from pond sludge against larvae of Ae. aegypti. RESULTS: Based on the initial results, similar time‐course profiles were obtained for the mosquitocidal activity of the bacterial culture and its supernatant, and the pellet resuspended in Luria–Bertani (LB) medium also showed delayed toxicity. These results imply that the toxic component can be released into the medium from live bacteria. Further research indicated that the toxic component appeared in the supernatant approximately 4 h after a 3‐mL stock was cultured in 200 mL of LB medium. The stabilities of the P. mosselii culture and supernatant stored at different temperatures were also evaluated, and the best culture stability was obtained at 28 °C and supernatant stability at 4 °C. The bacterial culture and supernatant were toxic to larvae and pupae of not only susceptible Ae. aegypti but also pyrethroid‐resistant strains. CONCLUSION: This study highlights the value of the mosquitocidal activity of P. mosselii, which has potential as an alternative insecticide to control pyrethroid‐resistant Ae. aegypti in the field. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. Summary: This paper presents low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellation configuration based on the performance of Doppler effect in laser intersatellite links (LISLs). It studies the impact of the LEO constellation's parameters on the performance of the Doppler effect in LISLs. The paper aims to develop LEO satellite constellation configurations that evolve LISLs with minimal Doppler shift. It evaluates the impact of the variation of the relative distance, the inclination angle of the LEO constellation orbital planes, the orbital planes number in the LEO constellation, and the altitude on the performance of Doppler wavelength shift (DWS) in LISLs, for different operating laser wavelengths (OLWs) with respect to two possible intersatellite links (ISL) connection modes within the constellation, straight ISL (n‐to‐n) and inclined ISL (n‐to‐n − 1). n is the order of the satellite in the orbital plane. Simulations are conducted to evaluate the performance of these configurations in terms of altitude, OLW, inclination angle, and the number of orbital planes. In addition, both OneWeb and Starlink constellations are studied to evaluate DWS performance. The study demonstrates that DWS decreases either with the diminution of the relative distance between linked LEO satellites, the inclination of LEO constellation, and the OLW, or with the augmentation of the orbital planes number and altitude. Moreover, the overall DWS between two LEO satellites in the proposed constellation is at least 50% lower than the constellation configuration in other literature. The paper proposes the LEO constellation's configurations that perform LISLs with less possible Doppler effect by optimizing the LEO constellation parameters that impact the Doppler effect. Salmonella infections are a serious global health concern, particularly in developing countries, and are further exacerbated by the emergence of antibiotic resistance. San‐Huang‐Xie‐Xin‐Tang (SHXXT), a traditional herbal medicine with potent anti‐inflammatory properties, has recently gained attention as an alternative treatment. Our study emphasizes on the importance of precise timing in accordance with traditional Chinese medicine principles. A mouse infection model was established while different administration times of SHXXT were recorded for the body weight, clinical scores, bacterial counts in blood, and organs. Additionally, cytokine levels, fatty acids, and amino acids in the serum were also monitored. We found that administering SHXXT 1 day after Salmonella enterica subsp. enterica serovar Typhimurium (S. Typhimurium) infection (T1 group) leads to positive outcomes. This includes restoration of body weight, improved clinical scores, and reduced bacterial counts in blood and vital organs. Interferon‐gamma levels remained consistently high across all treatment groups 6 days post‐infection. However, the T1 group showed exclusive suppression of serum levels of tumor necrosis factor‐alpha (TNF‐α) and interleukin‐1 beta (IL‐1β). The timing of administration significantly influenced serum fatty acid concentrations, countering Salmonella‐induced disruptions, aligning with TNF‐α and IL‐1β levels. SHXXT had also restored amino acid profiles disrupted by the infection, with notable effects when administered at the correct timing. Our research highlights SHXXT's potential in treating S. Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) has emerged as a global health threat and has rapidly spread worldwide. Significant changes in the lipid profile before and after COVID‐19 confirmed the significance of lipid metabolism in regulating the response to viral infection. Therefore, understanding the role of lipid metabolism may facilitate the development of new therapeutics for COVID‐19. Owing to their high sensitivity and accuracy, mass spectrometry (MS)‐based methods are widely used for rapidly identifying and quantifying of thousands of lipid species present in a small amount of sample. To enhance the capabilities of MS for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of lipids, different platforms have been combined to cover a wide range of lipidomes with high sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy. Currently, MS‐based technologies are being established as efficient methods for discovering potential diagnostic biomarkers for COVID‐19 and related diseases. As the lipidome of the host cell is drastically affected by the viral replication process, investigating lipid profile alterations in patients with COVID‐19 and targeting lipid metabolism pathways are considered to be crucial steps in host‐directed drug targeting to develop better therapeutic strategies. This review summarizes various MS‐based strategies that have been developed for lipidomic analyzes and biomarker discoveries to combat COVID‐19 by integrating various other potential approaches using different human samples. This study finds that in an international mixed oligopoly at free entry equilibrium, social welfare under import tariff cum privatization is higher than output subsidy cum privatization, and the dual subsidy‐tariff policy cum privatization degenerates into a single tariff policy cum privatization. The reason is that an output subsidy or the dual subsidy‐tariff policy will incentivize domestic private firms to enter the free‐entry equilibrium. Thus, the number of domestic firms with free entry is excessive, and social welfare deteriorates. There has been growing evidence suggesting that diabetes may be associated with increased liver cancer risk. However, studies conducted in Asian countries are limited. This project considered data of 968,738 adults pooled from 20 cohort studies of Asia Cohort Consortium to examine the association between baseline diabetes and liver cancer incidence and mortality. Cox proportional hazard model and competing risk approach was used for pooled data. Two‐stage meta‐analysis across studies was also done. There were 839,194 subjects with valid data regarding liver cancer incidence (5654 liver cancer cases [48.29/100,000 person‐years]), follow‐up time and baseline diabetes (44,781 with diabetes [5.3%]). There were 747,198 subjects with valid data regarding liver cancer mortality (5020 liver cancer deaths [44.03/100,000 person‐years]), follow‐up time and baseline diabetes (43,243 with diabetes [5.8%]). Hazard ratio (HR) (95% confidence interval [95%CI]) of liver cancer diagnosis in those with vs. without baseline diabetes was 1.97 (1.79, 2.16) (p <.0001) after adjusting for baseline age, gender, body mass index, tobacco smoking, alcohol use, and heterogeneity across studies (n = 586,072; events = 4620). Baseline diabetes was associated with increased cumulative incidence of death due to liver cancer (adjusted HR (95%CI) = 1.97 (1.79, 2.18); p <.0001) (n = 595,193; events = 4110). A two‐stage meta‐analytic approach showed similar results. This paper adds important population‐based evidence to current literature regarding the increased incidence and mortality of liver cancer in adults with diabetes. The flourishing platform business model has been rapidly integrated into manufacturing industries, and value‐added service (VAS) provided by the platforms has become a critical part of enhancing competitiveness. This study investigates the optimal two‐period pricing decisions and VAS strategies of the two‐sided platform for manufacturing. For both the supplier and manufacturer side, the platform decides the entry fees in each period and provides differentiated quality of basic services, as well as the VAS (if any). Moreover, the manufacturer's utility of accessing is influenced by the cross‐network externality, which is related to the number of suppliers in each period. In the presence of the supplier's varying entry timing, three VAS strategies are available for the platform including: (1) VAS for suppliers in Period 1 (Model S1), (2) VAS for suppliers in Period 2 (Model S2), and (3) VAS for manufacturers in Period 1 or 2 (Model M). We establish a two‐period game model under each VAS strategy. Then, the optimal platform's pricing decisions are derived, and the optimal performances in three VAS strategies are compared. Findings demonstrate that when the cross‐network externality strength is large, the platform always prefers Model S1; only when both the cross‐network externality strength and quality of the platform's basic service are comparatively low, the platform selects Model S2; otherwise, the platform chooses Model M. This study also extends to the scenario that the platform provides bilateral VAS in Period 1 (Model B1) or Period 2 (Model B2). Purpose: To improve image quality, mitigate quantification biases and variations for free‐breathing liver proton density fat fraction (PDFF) and R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ quantification accelerated by radial k‐space undersampling. Methods: A free‐breathing multi‐echo stack‐of‐radial MRI method was developed with compressed sensing with multidimensional regularization. It was validated in motion phantoms with reference acquisitions without motion and in 11 subjects (6 patients with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease) with reference breath‐hold Cartesian acquisitions. Images, PDFF, and R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ maps were reconstructed using different radial view k‐space sampling factors and reconstruction settings. Results were compared with reference‐standard results using Bland–Altman analysis. Using linear mixed‐effects model fitting (p < 0.05 considered significant), mean and SD were evaluated for biases and variations of PDFF and R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$, respectively, and coefficient of variation on the first echo image was evaluated as a surrogate for image quality. Results: Using the empirically determined optimal sampling factor of 0.25 in the accelerated in vivo protocols, mean differences and limits of agreement for the proposed method were [−0.5; −33.6, 32.7] s−1 for R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ and [−1.0%; −5.8%, 3.8%] for PDFF, close to those of a previous self‐gating method using fully sampled radial views: [−0.1; −27.1, 27.0] s−1 for R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ and [−0.4%; −4.5%, 3.7%] for PDFF. The proposed method had significantly lower coefficient of variation than other methods (p < 0.001). Effective acquisition time of 64 s or 59 s was achieved, compared with 171 s or 153 s for two baseline protocols with different radial views corresponding to sampling factor of 1.0. Conclusion: This proposed method may allow accelerated free‐breathing liver PDFF and R2*$$ {\mathrm{R}}_2^{\ast } $$ mapping with reduced biases and variations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Rationale: This study developed a method for the rapid classification and identification of the chemical composition of Qingyan dropping pills (QDP) to provide the theoretical basis and data foundation for further in‐depth research on the pharmacological substance basis of the formula and the selection of quality control indexes. Methods: Ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography‐quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS) and data postprocessing technology were used to analyze the chemical composition of QDP. The fragmentation information on possible characteristic fragments and related neutral losses was summarized based on the literature and was compared with the MS data obtained from the assay, and thus a rapid classification and identification of chemical components in QDP could be achieved. Results: A total of 73 compounds were identified, namely 24 flavonoids, 14 terpenoids, 30 organic acids and their esters, 3 alkaloids, and 2 phenylpropanoids. Conclusions: In this study, UHPLC‐Q‐TOF‐MS and data postprocessing technology were used to realize the rapid classification and identification of the chemical constituents of QDP, which provided a comprehensive, efficient, and fast qualitative analysis method, a basis for further quality control and safe medication of QDP. The development of multi‐mode fluorescent patterns has attracted widespread attention, particularly for applications in high‐density information storage and highly secure encryption. However, the fabrication process of multi‐mode fluorescent patterns generally involves tedious and expensive steps. Specifically, in the fabrication technology of elastic full‐color fluorescent patterns, there is still a lack of ideal patterning preparation technology that can overcome the solvent orthogonality problem associated with multi‐color fabrication while ensuring both high elasticity and luminescence efficiency of the pattern. Herein, the multi‐mode elastic fluorescent patterns are successfully fabricated by multiple transferring of the quantum dots (QDs) from the carrier substrates to the elastomeric PDMS substrate via femtosecond laser‐induced forward transfer (FsLIFT) technology. Due to its solvent‐free nature, absence of masking requirements, and no need for annealing during FsLIFT processing, the multiple transferred QD films achieve independent patterns and does not interfere with each other, providing a strong promise for the fabrication of multi‐mode elastic full‐color patterns. Based on these stretchable fluorescent patterns, multi‐visual encryption techniques are successfully demonstrated. The proposed FsLIFT technology offers an efficient and straightforward strategy for fabricating multi‐mode fluorescent patterns with potential applications in advanced commercial security information encryption and dynamic camouflage. ABSTRACT Wireless power transfer (WPT) is an emerging technology that enables the wireless transfer of electrical energy from power supplies to electrical equipment. It has been widely used in electric vehicles, mobile phones, household appliances, medical devices, and other fields. However, the frequency splitting and bifurcation phenomena existing in WPT systems are the fundamental obstacles and challenges that affect the effective operation of WPT systems. In this paper, a method based on the fractional‐order circuit is proposed to simultaneously suppress the frequency splitting and bifurcation phenomena by changing the order of fractional‐order capacitor. By replacing the compensation capacitor in the transmitter of the traditional WPT system with a fractional‐order capacitor, a fractional‐order WPT system is formed. Then, using fractional calculus and circuit theory, the mathematical model of the proposed WPT system containing a fractional‐order capacitor is established, and the frequency splitting and bifurcation phenomena are analyzed. The theoretical results show that the frequency splitting and bifurcation phenomena are suppressed only by adjusting the order of fractional‐order capacitor, and the output power of the original resonant frequency is improved. Recent progress in additive manufacturing has enabled the application of stereolithography (SLA) in bioprinting to produce 3D biomimetic structures. Bioinks for SLA often require synthetic polymers as supplements to ensure the structural integrity of the printed cell‐laden constructs. High molecular weight (MW) poly(ethylene‐glycol)‐diacrylate (PEGDA) (MW ≥ 3400 Da) is commonly used to enhance the mechanical property of crosslinked hydrogels. However, the production of bioink with high MW PEGDA requires in‐house polymer synthesis or the acquisition of costly reagents, which may not be readily available in all laboratory settings. As an alternative to high MW PEGDA, this research investigated the use of poly(ethylene‐glycol)‐dimethacrylate (PEGDMA) (MW = 1000 Da) as a supplement of a bioink to enhance the mechanical properties of the SLA‐printed constructs. The successful demonstration showcases 1) the fabrication of 3D constructs with overhang and complex architecture, and 2) the cytocompatibility, with high cell viability of 71–87% over 6 days of culture, of the GelMA‐PEGDMA bioink to enable cell‐laden bioprinting. This study suggests PEGDMA as a viable supplement in the formulation of SLA bioink. Photoimmunotherapy faces challenges due to insufficient intratumoral accumulation of photothermal agents and the reversion of the cancer‐immunity cycle during treatment. In this study, an anti‐PD‐L1‐immobilized magnetic gold nanohut, AuNH‐2‐Ab, with photoresponsive, thermosensitive, and immunomodulatory properties to effectively suppress the growth of primary tumors, elevate immunogenic cell death (ICD) levels, reverse the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME), and consequently inhibit metastases are developed. AuNH‐2‐Ab achieves high tumor accumulation (9.54% injected dose) following systemic administration, allowing the modulation of hyperthermia dose of over 50 °C in the tumor. By optimizing the hyperthermia dose, AuNH‐2‐Ab simultaneously target and eliminate cancer cells and tumor‐associated macrophages, thereby activating potent antitumor immunity without being compromised by immunosuppressive elements. Hyperthermia/pH induced morphological transformation of AuNH‐2‐Ab involving the detachment of the surface antibody for in situ PD‐L1 inhibition, and exposure of the inner fucoidan layer for natural killer (NK) cell activation. This precision photoimmunotherapy approach reprograms the TIME, significantly prolongs survival in a murine hepatocellular carcinoma model (Hep55.1c), and harnesses the synergistic effects of ICD production and checkpoint inhibitors by utilizing a single nanoplatform.
