Summary: Chloroplasts play a crucial role in plant defense against pathogens, making them primary targets for pathogen effectors that suppress host immunity. This study characterizes the Plasmopara viticola CRN‐like effector, PvCRN20, which interacts with DEG5 in the cytoplasm but not with its interacting protein, DEG8, which is located in the chloroplast.By transiently overexpressing in tobacco leaves, we show that PvCRN20 could inhibit INF1‐ and Bax‐triggered cell death. Constitutive expression of PvCRN20 suppresses the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and promotes pathogen colonization. PvCRN20 reduces DEG5 entry into chloroplasts, thereby disrupting DEG5 and DEG8 interactions in chloroplasts.Overexpression of VvDEG5 and VvDEG8 induces ROS accumulation and enhances grapevine resistance to P. viticola, whereas knockout of VvDEG8 represses ROS production and promotes P. viticola colonization. Consistently, ectopic expression of VvDEG5 and VvDEG8 in tobacco promotes chloroplast‐derived ROS accumulation, whereas co‐expression of PvCRN20 counteracted this promotion by VvDEG5. Therefore, DEG5 is essential for the virulence function of PvCRN20. Although PvCRN20 is located in both the nucleus and cytoplasm, only cytoplasmic PvCRN20 suppresses plant immunity and promotes pathogen infection.Our results reveal that PvCRN20 dampens plant defenses by repressing the chloroplast import of DEG5, thus reducing host ROS accumulation and facilitating pathogen colonization. Summary: The shape of rice grains not only determines the thousand‐grain weight but also correlates closely with the grain quality.Here we identified an ultra‐large grain accession (ULG) with a thousand‐grain weight exceeding 60 g. The integrated analysis of QTL, BSA, de novo genome assembled, transcription sequencing, and gene editing was conducted to dissect the molecular basis of the ULG formation.The ULG pyramided advantageous alleles from at least four known grain‐shaping genes, OsLG3, OsMADS1, GS3, GL3.1, and one novel locus, qULG2‐b, which encoded a leucine‐rich repeat receptor‐like kinase. The collective impacts of OsLG3, OsMADS1, GS3, and GL3.1 on grain size were confirmed in transgenic plants and near‐isogenic lines. The transcriptome analysis identified 112 genes cooperatively regulated by these four genes that were prominently involved in photosynthesis and carbon metabolism. By leveraging the pleiotropy of these genes, we enhanced the grain yield, appearance, and stress tolerance of rice var. SN265.Beyond showcasing the pyramiding of multiple grain size regulation genes that can produce ULG, our study provides a theoretical framework and valuable genomic resources for improving rice variety by leveraging the pleiotropy of grain size regulated genes. Comprehensive Summary: Compared to well‐established 1,5‐HAT of N‐centered radicals, the synthetic applications of 1,2‐HAT process were scarce due to the high barrier and constrained three‐membered transition state. Here, we have developed a novel C(sp3)‐H gem‐difluoroallylation via a base assisted formal 1,2‐HAT of amidyl radicals with the reductive quenching cycle of photocatalyst. This transformation enables the efficient formation of α‐aminoalkyl radicals via 1,2‐HAT and showcases good functional group tolerance. Our preliminary mechanistic experiments, along with Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate the feasibility of 1,2‐HAT of amidyl radicals, especially when assisted by a base. The COVID‐19 pandemic resulted in disruptions to the Canadian meat and livestock markets. While prices initially decreased, the shutdowns of beef packing plants led to a large reduction in the supply of beef and a corresponding increase in the wholesale price with ramifications along the entire supply chain. This study examines the effect of COVID‐19 on price transmission and price volatility in the Canadian beef supply chain using monthly farmgate, wholesale, and retail price data covering the period from July 2005 to February 2022. We find evidence indicating that COVID‐19 affected long‐run price transmission from farmgate and wholesale markets to the retail market. Specifically, we find that the pandemic resulted in a 94.42 and 81.48% decrease in price transmission from the farmgate and wholesale market, respectively, to the retail market, indicating that higher prices at the wholesale level were not being passed on to consumers to the same extent. In the short run, we find asymmetric price adjustments and both direct and indirect volatility spillovers among the three levels of markets, implying strong market interactions across the beef supply chain. In this work, an approximate solution is given to compute the gas emissivities and absorptivities for H2O–CO2–CO mixtures. The proposed model is valid for temperatures from 300 to 2700 K and pressure path‐length (PxL) $({P}_{x}L)$ from 0.06 to 40 atm m. In the calculation of the analytical solution (AS), the nonlinear methods of Galerkin and Ritz were implemented based on the residual solution of the differential roots of the Finite Element Method. For each point value (PxL;T) $({P}_{x}L;T)$ using the AS, the spectral absorptivity aλ ${a}_{\lambda }$ and emissivity ελ ${\varepsilon }_{\lambda }$ were determined, while for the gas mixture the emissivity εm ${\varepsilon }_{m}$ and absorptivity am ${a}_{m}$ were computed using the Hottel Graphical Method (HGM) and the proposed method. In the emissivity calculations, the HGM shows less adjustment, with values of ±20% and ±15% for 79.1% and 56.2% of the available analytical data, while the proposed model correlates adequately with the available data, showing an average deviation of ±15% and ±10% for 91.4% and 76.2% of the available data. In the absorptivity estimations, the HGM shows a weaker fit, with values of ±20% and ±15% for 77.3% and 51.4% of the experimental data, respectively, while the proposed model shows good agreement with the available data, with a mean deviation of ±15% and ±10% for 89.8% and 74.1% of the test made. Metal organic frameworks (MOFs) as semiconductor‐like materials, are considered to be promising photocatalysts for heterogeneous phtotocatalytic oxidation of styrene. Herein, copper‐based MOFs and titanium dioxide composite bifunctional photocatalyst (Cu–benzene‐1,3,5‐tricarboxylate‐titanium dioxide, Cu‐BTC‐TiO2) wereas synthesized, and the selective oxidation of styrene was achieved under mild conditions of oxygen and water. Cu‐BTC‐TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) exhibited more than three times higher styrene conversion than Cu‐BTC and TiO2 individually under same condition, and the desired product benzaldehyde can be obtained with up to 82% yield. The improved performance may be attributed to the acid site of Cu‐BTC, which is conducive to the adsorption and activation of styrene. In addition, the formation of heterojunction between Cu‐BTC and TiO2 can regulate the band gap of photocatalyst, which is favorable for light absorption, and facilitate the separation, transportation and utilization of photogenerated electron holes. BACKGROUND: The pea leafminer, Liriomyza huidobrensis, is one of the most important insect pests on vegetables and ornamentals. The survival and egg‐laying behavior of leafminers are markedly affected by the environment temperature. However, the mechanisms underlying the relationship between egg‐laying and temperature are still largely unknown. RESULTS: Here, we find that leafminers have evolved an adaptive strategy to overcome the stress from high or low temperature by regulating oviposition‐punching plasticity. We further show that this oviposition‐punching plasticity is mediated by the expression of pyx in the ovipositor when subjected to disadvantageous temperature. Specifically, down‐regulation of pyx expression in leafminers under low temperature stress led to a significant decrease in the swing numbers of ovipositor and puncture area of the egg spot, and consequently the lower amount of egg‐laying compared to leafminers at ambient temperature. Conversely, activation of pyx expression under high temperature stress increased the swing numbers and puncture area, still resulting in a reduction of egg‐laying amount. CONCLUSION: Thereby, leafminers are able to coordinate pyx channel expression level and accordingly depress the oviposition. Summary: Climate warming poses a significant threat to global crop production and food security. However, our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing thermoresponsive development in crops remains limited.Here we report that the auxiliary subunit of N‐terminal acetyltransferase A (NatA) in rice OsNAA15 is a prerequisite for rice thermoresponsive growth. OsNAA15 produces two isoforms OsNAA15.1 and OsNAA15.2, via temperature‐dependent alternative splicing. Among the two, OsNAA15.1 is more likely to form a stable and functional NatA complex with the potential catalytic subunit OsNAA10, leading to a thermoresponsive N‐terminal acetylome. Intriguingly, while OsNAA15.1 promotes plant growth under elevated temperatures, OsNAA15.2 exhibits an inhibitory effect.We identified two glycolate oxidases (GLO1/5) as major substrates from the thermoresponsive acetylome. These enzymes are involved in hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) biosynthesis via glycolate oxidation. N‐terminally acetylated GLO1/5 undergo their degradation through the ubiquitin‐proteasome system. This leads to reduced reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, thereby promoting plant growth, particularly under high ambient temperatures.Conclusively, our findings highlight the pivotal role of N‐terminal acetylation in orchestrating the glycolate‐mediated ROS homeostasis to facilitate thermoresponsive growth in rice. To overcome the poor targeting of conventional chemotherapeutic drugs and the defects of low drug‐loading capacity of conventional drug delivery systems, novel drug delivery systems with high drug‐loading capacity are developed. Herein, the high drug‐loaded mPEG79‐GFLGDDD‐DOX copolymer is first synthesized via an amide reaction, which can bond multiplex DOX. After PEGylation, the drug can resist the adsorption of proteins in the plasma in blood circulation, avoid being rapidly cleared out of the body, and prolong the circulation time of the drug in the blood, which is conducive to the enrichment of micelles in tumor tissues through the EPR effect. In tumor tissues, the peptide Glycine‐ Phenylalanine‐ Leucine‐ Glycine (GFLG) is recognized and sheared by overexpressed cathepsin B, which stripped the outer layer of methoxy polyethylene glycol (mPEG) and made it more readily available for uptake by tumor cells. After entering the tumor cells, the bonded DOX and the physically encapsulated DOX in the micelles played a synergistic role, realizing the killing of tumor cells, thus effectively enhancing the therapeutic effect on tumors. BACKGROUND: Peanut peptides have good chelating ability with metal ions. However, there are few studies on the chelation mechanism of peanut peptides with calcium and absorption properties of peptide–calcium complex. RESULTS: Peptides with high calcium chelating rate were isolated and purified from peanut protein hydrolysate (PPH), and the chelation rate of component F21 was higher (81.4 ± 0.8%). Six peptides were identified from component F21 by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry, and the frequency of acidic amino acids and arginine in the amino acid sequence was higher in all six peptides. Peanut peptide–calcium complex (PPH21‐Ca) was prepared by selecting component F21 (PPH21). Ultraviolet analysis indicated that the chelate reaction occurred between peanut peptide and calcium ions. Fourier transform infrared analysis showed that the chelating sites were carboxyl and amino groups on the amino acid residues of peptides. Scanning electron microscopy revealed that the surface of peanut peptide had a smooth block structure, but the surface of the complex had a granular morphology. Caco‐2 cell model tests revealed that the bioavailability of PPH21‐Ca was 58.4 ± 0.5%, which was significantly higher than that of inorganic calcium at 37.0 ± 0.4%. CONCLUSION: Peanut peptides can chelate calcium ions by carboxyl and amino groups, and the peptide–calcium complex had higher bioavailability. The structure of molecular aggregates is crucial for charge transport and photovoltaic performance in organic solar cells (OSCs). Herein, the intermolecular interactions and aggregated structures of nonfused‐ring electron acceptors (NFREAs) are precisely regulated through a halogen transposition strategy, resulting in a noteworthy transformation from a 2D‐layered structure to a 3D‐interconnected packing network. Based on the 3D electron transport pathway, the binary and ternary devices deliver outstanding power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 17.46 % and 18.24 %, respectively, marking the highest value for NFREA‐based OSCs. This study assesses the reliability and limitations of the Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM) in detecting continuing currents by comparing observations from ground‐based high‐speed cameras with GLM‐16 data. Our findings show that the GLM's one‐group detection efficiency (DE_1) is 53%, while the more stringent five‐consecutive‐group detection efficiency (DE_5) is 10%. Optical signals detected by the GLM predominantly occur during the early stages of continuing currents. Additionally, there is a notable disparity in detection efficiencies between positive and negative continuing currents, with positive continuing currents being detected more frequently. The application of the logistic regression model developed by Fairman and Bitzer (2022) further illustrates the limitations in continuing current identification. The study underscores the challenges of relying solely on satellite data to monitor and analyze continuing currents, emphasizing the need for advancements in detection technologies and methodologies to reliably detect continuing current at a large spatial scale. Plain Language Summary: This study investigates continuing current in cloud‐to‐ground lightning—a prolonged electrical discharge known for causing significant damage, such as igniting large‐scale wildfires. For the first time, we used recordings from ground‐based high‐speed cameras to assess how effectively the Geostationary Lightning Mapper (GLM), an optical instrument on the GOES satellite, detects these currents. Our findings reveal that the GLM often captures only the early stages of continuing currents and struggles to detect them consistently, particularly those in weaker, negative types of lightning. These results underscore the limitations of current satellite‐based optical instruments in fully monitoring continuing currents, emphasizing the need for improved methods to better detect and understand these electrical discharges and mitigate their impacts. It is of essential importance to design bifunctional electrocatalysts with excellent performance for both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in seawater splitting. Herein, an approach for manipulating electron redistribution in NiCoP treated by P defect (Pv) engineering (NiCoPv@NF) is presented, exhibiting excellent catalytic activities and stability toward HER/OER in alkaline seawater solution. The Pv reduces the surface electrooxidation reconfiguration energy barrier, making it easier to drive the local conversion of crystals to active oxy(hydroxide) in OER. In addition, the Ni site of NiCoPv and the Co site of NiCoOOH are the active sites for HER and OER processes, respectively. In situ generated PO43− adsorbed on the catalyst surface causes spatial repulsion, preventing Cl− corrosion in seawater electrolysis. The seawater AEM electrolyzer using NiCoPv@NF couple achieves excellent performance of high activity (2.43 V at 500 mA cm−2) and long‐term durability (500 mA cm−2 over 110 h). Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic joint disease that significantly affects the health of the elderly. As an herbal remedy, Gubi decoction (GBD) has been traditionally used for the treatment of osteoarthritis‐related syndromes. However, the anti‐KOA efficacy and mechanism of GBD remain unclear. This study aimed to experimentally investigate the anti‐KOA efficacy and the underlying mechanism of GBD. The medial meniscus (DMM) mice model and IL‐1β‐stimulated chondrocytes were, respectively, constructed as in vivo and in vitro models of KOA to evaluate the osteoprotective effect and molecular mechanism of GBD. The UPLC–MS/MS analysis showed that GBD mainly contained pinoresinol diglucoside, rehmannioside D, hesperidin, liquiritin, baohuoside I, glycyrrhizic acid, kaempferol and tangeretin. Animal experiment showed that GBD could alleviate articular cartilage destruction and recover histopathological alterations in DMM mice. In addition, GBD inhibited chondrocyte apoptosis and restored DMM‐induced dysregulated autophagy evidenced by the upregulation of ATG7 and LC3 II/LC3 I but decreased P62 level. Mechanistically, METTL3‐mediated m6A modification decreased the expression of ATG7 in DMM mice, as it could be significantly attenuated by GBD. METTL3 overexpression significantly counteracted the protective effect of GBD on chondrocyte autophagy. Further research showed that GBD promoted proteasome‐mediated ubiquitination degradation of METLL3. Our findings suggest that GBD could act as a protective agent against KOA. Organic thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) scintillators hold promising potential for applications in medical radiography and security detection, but the poor X‐ray absorption ability and inferior radioluminescence (RL) hampered their progression. Herein, the study has pioneered the development of high‐performance TADF Ag(I)‐based scintillators from M2X2(dppb)2 (M = Ag, Cu; X = Cl, Br, I) complexes with 1,2‐Bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene (dppb) ligand. In comparison with Cu(I) complexes, the Ag(I) series generally exhibited superior scintillation performance. Notably, Ag2Cl2(dppb)2 (Ag1) stands out with exceptionally high RL intensity (≈125% higher than that of CsI:Tl) and a low detection limit of 59.8 nGy s−1. The outstanding scintillation performance of Ag1 is primarily attributed to the synergistic effect of the high exciton utilization efficiency origin from a small singlet‐triplet energy gap, enhanced X‐ray absorption capacity by heavy atoms, and the high photoluminescence quantum yield (76.47% in ambient atmosphere). By fabricating a flexible film constructed with Ag1 submicron crystalline powders, a high spatial resolution of 25.0 lp mm−1 for X‐ray imaging is obtained. The development of efficient, robust, and cost‐effective electrocatalysts remains a significant challenge for practical water electrolysis. Here, a metallic glass (MG)‐based catalyst with surface‐enriched Ir and Pt‐alloyed active sites, demonstrating superior electrocatalytic performance, is reported. The dealloyed catalyst, characterized by an Ir and Pt‐rich honeycombed nanoporous surface and an interior flexible MG substrate, can directly serve as a bifunctional electrode, enabling efficient hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions with low overpotentials of 19 and 223 mV to achieve a current density of 10 mA cm−2, respectively. Notably, the mass activity of the catalyst surpasses that of commercial Pt/C and Ir/C catalysts by 13.9 and 16.5 times, respectively. Additionally, the catalyst exhibits exceptional stability with negligible activity decay even under an ampere‐level current density (i.e., ≥1 A cm−2). Theoretical calculations reveal the optimization of atomic configuration and regulation of electronic interactions through lattice strain induced by the co‐alloying of Ir and Pt, contributing to superior electrocatalytic performance. Furthermore, the unique honeycombed nanoporous architecture, shaped by the surface migration and enrichment of the noble metals, offers abundant active sites for accelerating the electrocatalytic reactions. The instability of the solid electrolyte interface (SEI) is a critical challenge for the zinc metal anodes, leading to an erratic electrode/electrolyte interface and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER), ultimately resulting in anode failure. This study uncovers that the fluorine species dissolution is the root cause of SEI instability. To effectively suppress the F− dissolution, an introduction of a low‐polarity molecule, 1,4‐thioxane (TX), is proposed, which reinforces the stability of the fluorine‐rich SEI. Moreover, the TX molecule has a strong affinity for coordinating with Zn2+ and adsorbing at the electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby diminishing the activity of local water and consequently impeding SEI dissolution. The robust fluorine‐rich SEI layer promotes the high durability of the zinc anode in repeated plating/stripping cycles, while concurrently suppressing HER and enhancing Coulombic efficiency. Notably, the symmetric cell with TX demonstrates exceptional electrochemical performance, sustaining over 500 hours at 20 mA cm−2 with 10 mAh cm−2. Furthermore, the Zn||KVOH full cell exhibits excellent capacity retention, averaging 6.8 mAh cm−2 with 98 % retention after 400 cycles, even at high loading with a lean electrolyte. The bio‐based hydrophilic monoglycerol succinate was synthesized and reacted with bio‐based raw materials including polyols, pentamethylene diisocyanate, 1,4‐butanediol, to prepare the waterborne polyurethane acrylate (Bio‐WPUA) emulsions with high bio‐based content. The effect of bio‐based polyol categories including poly(trimethylene ether glycol), poly(tetrahydrofuran), and castor oil on the properties of Bio‐WPUA and its films were studied. The structure, thermal stability, crystallinity, contact angle, and mechanical properties of Bio‐WPUA film were characterized with fourier infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, X‐ray diffraction, contact angle analyzer, and mechanical tensile testing. It was found that Bio‐WPUA film containing poly(trimethylene ether glycol) as the soft‐segmented display good tensile stress, thermal stability, and water resistance with 1.38% of the water absorption rate, while Bio‐WPUA containing castor oil polyol as the soft‐segmented had good tensile strain and low‐temperature film‐forming properties with excellent film properties. The bio‐carbon content of Bio‐WPUA was high up to 40% according to ASTM D6866‐22, and possesses good physical mechanical and chemical resistance performance. Tezepelumab is a human monoclonal antibody that blocks the activity of thymic stromal lymphopoietin. This analysis assessed the suitability of a fixed‐dose regimen of tezepelumab 210 mg every 4 weeks (Q4W) in adults and adolescents with severe, uncontrolled asthma. A population pharmacokinetic model was developed using data from 1368 patients with asthma or healthy participants enrolled in 8 clinical studies (phases 1‐3). Tezepelumab exposure‐efficacy relationships were analyzed in the phase 3 NAVIGATOR study (NCT03347279), using asthma exacerbation rates over 52 weeks and changes in pre‐bronchodilator forced expiratory volume in 1 s at week 52. Tezepelumab pharmacokinetics were well characterized by a 2‐compartment linear disposition model with first‐order absorption and elimination following subcutaneous and intravenous administration at 2.1‐420 and 210‐700 mg, respectively. There were no clinically relevant effects on tezepelumab pharmacokinetics from age (≥12 years), sex, race/ethnicity, renal or hepatic function, disease severity (inhaled corticosteroid dose level), concomitant asthma medication use, smoking history, or anti‐drug antibodies. Body weight was the most influential covariate on tezepelumab exposure, but no meaningful differences in efficacy or safety were observed across body weight quartiles in patients with asthma who received tezepelumab 210 mg subcutaneously Q4W. There was no apparent relationship between tezepelumab exposure and efficacy at this dose regimen, suggesting that it is on the plateau of the exposure‐response curve of tezepelumab. Based on the theory of fluid mechanics, the lubrication performance of micro‐textured hydrostatic bearings is derived. Under extreme operating conditions, the lubrication performance of clearance oil film without micro‐texture and with rectangular and triangular micro‐textures added to the oil sealing edge is simulated, and the experimental verification of the lubrication performance of the double rectangular cavity without micro‐texture is conducted. The results show that regardless of whether micro‐texture is added or not, the oil film pressure is distributed in a stepped shape, and the highest temperature of the oil film occurs at the intersection of the oil sealing edges on the outside of the double rectangular cavity. When the maximum depth of triangular micro‐texture is 1.5 mm and the dimension of a segment is 1 mm, triangular micro‐texture with an obtuse angle of 103° has the best comprehensive lubrication performance, but its oil film bearing capacity still does not exceed that of rectangular micro‐texture. The Changle goose (CLG), a Chinese indigenous breed, is celebrated for its adaptability, rapid growth, and premium meat quality. Despite its agricultural value, the exploration of its genomic attributes has been scant. Our study entailed whole‐genome resequencing of 303 geese across CLG and five other Chinese breeds, revealing distinct genetic diversity metrics. We discovered significant migration events from Xingguo gray goose to CLG and minor gene flow between them. We identified genomic regions through selective sweep analysis, correlating with CLG's unique traits. An elevated inbreeding coefficient in CLG, alongside reduced heterozygosity and rare single nucleotide polymorphisms (RSNPs), suggests a narrowed genetic diversity. Genomic regions related to reproduction, meat quality, and growth were identified, with the GATA3 gene showing strong selection signals for meat quality. A non‐synonymous mutation in the Sloc2a1 gene, which is associated with reproductive traits in the CLG, exhibited significant differences in allelic frequency. The roles of CD82, CDH8, and PRKAB1 in growth and development, alongside FABP4, FAF1, ESR1, and AKAP12 in reproduction, were highlighted. Additionally, Cdkal1 and Mfsd14a may influence meat quality. Air pollution exposure is closely linked to population age and socioeconomic status. Population aging and imbalance in regional economy are thus anticipated to have important implications on ozone (O3)‐related health impacts. Here we provide a driver analysis for O3 mortality burden due to respiratory disease in China over 2013–2050 driven by population aging and regional inequity. Unexpectedly, we find that population aging is estimated to result in dramatic rises in annual O3 mortality burden in China; by 56, 101–137, and 298–485 thousand over the periods 2013–2020, 2020–2030, and 2030–2050, respectively. This reflects the exponential rise in baseline mortality rates with increasing age. The aging‐induced mortality burden rise in 2030–2050 is surprisingly large, as it is comparable to the net national mortality burden due to O3 exposure in 2030 (359–399 thousand yr−1). The health impacts of O3 pollution, shown as mortality burden per capita, are inequitably distributed, with more severe effects in less developed provinces than their developed counterparts by 23.1% and 21.5% in 2019 and 2030, respectively. However, the regional inequity in O3 mortality burden is expected to be mitigated in 2050. This temporal variation reflects evolving demographic dividend characterized by a larger proportion of younger individuals in developed regions. These findings are critical for targeted improvement of healthcare services to ensure the sustainability of social development. Mare domes (interpreted to be a type of shield volcano) represent one important endmember of a variety of volcanic edifices occurring across the volcanic plains on the Moon, whereas Ring‐Moat Dome Structures (RMDSs) are interpreted to reflect the thermodynamic behavior of plain‐forming mare flows during their emplacement and cooling. A comprehensive study of the direct association between mare domes and RMDSs can not only provide deep insights into their formation mechanisms but also yield key information on the nature of mantle sources. We characterized a total of 200 mare domes and more than 6,400 RMDSs within Mare Tranquillitatis using multiple sets of imagery and topography data. RMDS‐bearing domes (80 out of 200) are on average larger than those hosting no RMDSs (average diameter 10.2 vs. 5.5 km) and have lower height/diameter (H/D) ratios (0.01 vs. 0.02) and flank slopes (1.2° vs. 2°). We attribute the presence of RMDSs on some domes to be due to relatively higher effusion rates forming longer thinner flows, producing favorable conditions for the formation of RMDSs. The average diameter of the RMDSs on mare domes (226 m, n = 1,027) appears to be slightly smaller than those located in mare plains (256 m, n = 527). This may be due to slope effects and that the relatively thicker off‐dome part of flows undergoes a relatively higher degree inflation process, producing slightly larger RMDSs. We adapt the RMDS‐formation theoretical model to shallow subcrustal magma reservoir model to account for the Tranquillitatis dome‐RMDS associations. Reservoir operations are influenced by hydroclimatic variability, reservoir characteristics (i.e., size and purpose), policy regulation, as well as operators' experiences and justification. Data‐driven reservoir operation models based on long‐term historical records shed light on understanding reservoir operation rules and patterns. This study applies generic data‐driven reservoir operation models (GDROMs) developed for 452 data‐rich reservoirs with diversified operation purposes across the CONUS to explore typical operation rules and patterns. We find that the operating policies of any of these reservoirs can be modeled with a small number (1–8) of typical operation modules. The derived modules applied to different conditions of the 452 reservoirs can be categorized into five basic types, that is, constant release, inflow‐driven piecewise constant release, inflow‐driven linear release, storage‐driven piecewise constant release, and storage‐driven nonlinear (or piecewise linear) release. Additionally, a joint‐driven release module, constructed from these five basic types, has been identified. The analysis further shows the module application transition patterns featuring operation dynamics for reservoirs of different operation purposes, sizes, and locations. The typical module types can be used as "Lego" bricks to build operation models, especially for data‐scarce reservoirs. These module types and their application and transition conditions can inform Standard Operation Policy (SOP) and Hedging Policy (HP) with specific inflow, storage, and/or both conditions. Background: Exosomes and other secretory membrane vesicles, collectively referred to as extracellular vesicles (EVs), have garnered increasing attention in research due to their biological characteristics. Notably, studies have shown promising results regarding the role of stem cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (SC‐EVs) in skin and plastic surgery applications. This study aims to elucidate current trends in SC‐EVs within the context of skin and plastic surgery and offer insights for future research directions in advancing this critical field. Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted for relevant studies on SC‐EVs in skin and plastic surgery spanning from 2003 to 2023, utilizing the Web of Science database. Subsequently, data analysis was performed using VOSviewer and CiteSpace. Results: A total of 1089 studies were identified, with a noticeable annual increase in publications on SC‐EVs' application in skin and plastic surgery. China emerged as the leading contributor to this field, with Shanghai Jiao Tong University being a notable institution. Stem Cell Research & Therapy and the International Journal of Molecular Sciences were the top journals publishing relevant articles. Author Fu Xiaobing from the Chinese People's Liberation Army General Hospital had the highest publication count in this area. Currently, the copolymer of dopamine (DA) and pyrrole (PY) via chemical and electrochemical oxidation usually requires additional oxidants, and lacks flexibility in regulating the size and morphology, thereby limiting the broad applications of DA‐PY copolymer in biomedicine. Herein, the semiquinone radicals produced by the self‐oxidation of DA is ingeniously utilized as the oxidant to initiate the following copolymerization with PY, and a series of quinone‐rich polydopamine‐pyrrole copolymers (PDAm‐nPY) with significantly enhanced absorption in near‐infrared (NIR) region without any additional oxidant assistance is obtained. Moreover, the morphology and size of PDAm‐nPY can be regulated by changing the concentration of DA and PY, thereby optimizing nanoscale PDA0.05‐0.15PY particles (≈ 150 nm) with excellent NIR absorption and surface modification activity are successfully synthesized. Such PDA0.05‐0.15PY particles show effective photoacoustic (PA) imaging and photothermal therapy (PTT) against 4T1 tumors in vivo. Furthermore, other catechol derivatives can also copolymerize with PY under the same conditions. Due to their high energy density and cost‐effectiveness, lithium–sulfur batteries (LSBs) are considered highly promising for the next generation of energy storage technologies. However, the soluble lithium‐polysulfides (LiPSs) notorious for causing the shuttle effect and the sluggish redox kinetics have hindered their practical commercialization. To tackle these challenges, a heterostructural catalyst featuring NiS‐NiCo2O4 interfaces is developed, which serves as an interlayer for LSBs. These interfacial sites leverage the advantages of polar NiCo2O4 and conductive NiS, enabling smooth Li+ diffusion, rapid electron transport, and effective immobilization of LiPSs. This synergistic approach promotes the conversion of sulfur species, resulting in a high discharge capacity of 526 mAh g−1 at 3 C for cells with the NiS‐NiCo2O4 interlayer. Additionally, remarkable cycling stability is achievable with an areal sulfur loading of ≈5.0 mg cm−2. It is believed that this research paves the way for practical applications of LSBs. Background: There is a dearth of effective treatments to counter retinol‐induced skin irritation. Objective: This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of three potential mitigants: (i) phytosteryl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate (PLG), (ii) a physiologic lipid mixture (PLM) comprised of ceramide three and cholesterol, and (iii) niacinamide, in ameliorating irritation instigated by retinol. Methods: An occlusive human patch test, spanning 5 days, was undertaken on 18 Chinese participants aged between 23 and 40. It was designed as a randomized, double‐blind, and vehicle‐controlled study. Clinician erythema assessment (CEA) and instrumental evaluations were employed pre and post‐test. Subsequently, a 4‐week consumer in‐use test, randomized and double‐blind in nature, was executed to substantiate the soothing effects of PLG. Results: Data from CEA and bioengineering assessments revealed that, in comparison to the vehicle control, both 2% PLG and 5% PLM notably curbed retinol‐induced skin erythema and inflammation. Notably, PLG outperformed PLM. Conversely, 3% niacinamide did not offer relief against retinol‐induced discomfort. The subsequent consumer in‐use test affirmed that treatments with 2% PLG were better tolerated than those with the vehicle alone. Conclusion: To the best of our knowledge, this study represents the first confirmation that physiologic lipids effectively mitigate retinol‐induced irritation. Given their capacity to counter retinol‐induced irritation, physiologic lipids, particularly PLG, are recommended for incorporation in retinol regimens. Summary: Adzuki bean (Vigna angularis) is an important legume crop cultivated in over 30 countries worldwide. We developed a high‐quality chromosome‐level reference genome of adzuki bean cultivar Jingnong6 by combining PacBio Sequel long‐read sequencing with short‐read and Hi‐C technologies. The assembled genome covers 97.8% of the adzuki bean genome with a contig N50 of approximately 16 Mb and a total of 32 738 protein‐coding genes. We also generated a comprehensive genome variation map of adzuki bean by whole‐genome resequencing (WGRS) of 322 diverse adzuki beans accessions including both wild and cultivated. Furthermore, we have conducted comparative genomics and a genome‐wide association study (GWAS) on key agricultural traits to investigate the evolution and domestication. GWAS identified several candidate genes, including VaCycA3;1, VaHB15, VaANR1 and VaBm, that exhibited significant associations with domestication traits. Furthermore, we conducted functional analyses on the roles of VaANR1 and VaBm in regulating seed coat colour. We provided evidence for the highest genetic diversity of wild adzuki (Vigna angularis var. nipponensis) in China with the presence of the most original wild adzuki bean, and the occurrence of domestication process facilitating transition from wild to cultigen. Background and Objective: Periodontitis is intimately associated with the development of various systemic diseases, among which type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) has a bidirectional relationship with the pathogenesis of periodontitis. The objective of the present work was to investigate the role of berberine (BBR) in periodontitis with T2DM and related mechanisms. Methods: The mRNA expression of macrophage polarization‐related factors in the microenvironment of periodontal inflammation was detected using real‐time quantitative PCR (RT‐qPCR). The experimental periodontitis model was constructed in wild‐type (WT) and T2DM (db/db) mice, which were administered BBR after 7 days of modeling. Alveolar bone loss (ABL) in each group of mice was measured utilizing micro‐computed tomography images. RT‐qPCR was performed to analyze the levels of macrophage polarization‐related factors in mouse gingiva. Lastly, using western blotting and RT‐qPCR, the signaling pathway of BBR affecting macrophage polarization in the microenvironment of periodontitis was explored. Results: BBR inhibited M1 polarization and stimulated M2 polarization in the periodontitis microenvironment. BBR decreased ABL in the WT and T2DM periodontitis models. And BBR reduced the production of proinflammatory cytokines and increased anti‐inflammatory cytokine expression in the gingiva of WT and T2DM model mice. Ultimately, BBR mediates its anti‐inflammatory effects on periodontitis through inhibition of the NF‐κB pathway. Conclusions: BBR had a therapeutic effect on T2DM‐associated periodontitis via inhibiting the NF‐κB pathway to affect macrophage polarization, which may have implications for the new pharmacological treatment of T2DM‐associated periodontitis. Carboxyamidotriazole (CAI) was previously recognized as a well‐tolerated anticancer drug. It has also demonstrated significant anti‐inflammatory effects in various cell and animal model experiments, prompting its investigation as a potential treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. In this study, the potential biotransformation metabolites of CAI were identified both in vitro and in vivo. A sensitive, specific, and accurate LC–MS method was developed for the quantitative analysis of CAI and its major metabolite, CAI‐OH, in rat plasma. CAI, CAI‐OH, and telmisartan (used as an internal standard) were separated using a Zorbax SB C18 column. The mobile phase consisted of water (phase A, containing 0.1% formic acid) and acetonitrile (phase B, containing 0.1% formic acid) at a flow rate of 0.2 mL/min. The analytes were examined using a high‐resolution mass spectrometer, with detected mass‐to‐charge ratios of m/z 424.01293 for CAI, m/z 440.00785 for CAI‐OH, and m/z 515.24415 for telmisartan. Good linearity was observed within the range of 10–5000 ng/mL. Both inter‐ and intra‐batch precision (relative standard deviation, %) were below 6%, and the accuracy ranged from 94.9% to 106.1%. The analytes remained stable throughout the entire experimental period. This method was successfully applied in a pharmacokinetic study of CAI following oral administration in rats. In this work, a particle‐resolved computational fluid dynamics model of the acetylene hydrogenation process is developed to investigate the effects of catalyst particle structures on the reaction–diffusion behaviors aiming to improve selectivity toward target ethylene. The effects of packing structures on mass and heat transfer are explored by employing particles with varying shapes, wall thicknesses, and external diameters. The simulation results reveal that decreasing diffusion paths and elevating reactor bed temperature will enhance ethylene selectivity, and cylinder and Raschig ring packing structures exhibit the lowest and highest ethylene selectivity of 35.6% and 48.9% at 70% of acetylene conversion, respectively. Reducing wall thicknesses of Raschig ring particles facilitates the diffusion of generated ethylene from the interior zone of catalysts but concurrently inhibits the conversion of acetylene to ethylene. The Raschig ring catalyst particle with 1.9 mm of wall thickness and 3.5 mm of external diameter is finally revealed to exhibit the highest ethylene selectivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BACKGROUND: Polymeric microcapsules (MCs) have become an important issue and have attracted increasing attention because of their tunable physical and chemical properties. Diverse shell structures can confer multiple properties on MCs. RESULTS: Different polyols (1,4‐butanediol and glycerin) and polyamines (triethylenetetramine and isophorondiamine) were selected as crosslinkers to obtain emamectin benzoate (EB)‐loaded poly(urethane–urea) MCs (PU‐MCs) by interfacial polymerization. The four obtained PU‐MCs showed sphericity with different degrees of smoothness on their surfaces, and displayed a uniform size distribution ranging from 500 to 700 nm. Moreover, transmission electron microscopy showed that the shell thickness was roughly uniform, and was greatly influenced by the type and structure of the crosslinker. GI‐MCs, prepared using glycerin and isophorondiamine, had the largest shell thickness. GT‐MCs, obtained using glycerin and triethylenetetramine, had the highest encapsulation efficiency and drug‐loading content, and BT‐MCs, obtained using mixtures of 1,4‐butanediol and triethylenetetramine, had the fastest release behavior. Thermogravimetric analysis revealed that the greater the degree of shell crosslinking, the higher decomposition temperature and the greater the thermal stability. A BT‐MC suspension had the lowest viscosity and contact angle with the best wettability. Bioassay experiments showed that BT‐MCs exhibited good insecticidal activity against Plutella xylostella larvae with a half‐maximal lethal concentration of 4.19 mg/L. Furthermore, a BT‐MC suspension showed good thermal and light stability, with potential applications in minimizing the toxicity of EB through sustained release. Narrow bipolar events (NBEs) are impulsive and powerful intracloud discharges. Recent observations indicate that some NBEs exhibit a slanted orientation rather than strictly vertical. This paper investigates the effect of the slanted NBEs using a newly developed rebounding‐wave model. The modeling results are validated against the full‐wave Finite‐ Difference Time‐Domain method and compared with measurements for both vertical and slanted NBE cases. It is found that the inclination of the NBEs affects both the waveforms and amplitudes of the electrostatic, induction and radiation components of the electric fields at close distances (≤10 km). However, it primarily influences the amplitudes of the fields for distances beyond 50 km, where the radiation component dominates, resulting in changes of ≥30% when the slant angle exceeds 30°. The slanted rebounding‐wave model improves the agreement with respect to a purely vertical channel and can be extended to any discharge geometry at arbitrary observation distances. How to achieve CO2 electroreduction in high efficiency is a current challenge with the mechanism not well understood yet. The metal‐organic cages with multiple metal sites, tunable active centers, and well‐defined microenvironments may provide a promising catalyst model. Here, we report self‐assembly of Ag4L4 type cuboctahedral cages from coordination dynamic Ag+ ion and triangular imidazolyl ligand 1,3,5‐tris(1‐benzylbenzimidazol‐2‐yl) benzene (Ag‐MOC‐X, X=NO3, ClO4, BF4) via anion template effect. Notably, Ag‐MOC‐NO3 achieves the highest CO faradaic efficiency in pH‐universal electrolytes of 86.1 % (acidic), 94.1 % (neutral) and 95.3 % (alkaline), much higher than those of Ag‐MOC‐ClO4 and Ag‐MOC‐BF4 with just different counter anions. In situ attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy observes formation of vital intermediate *COOH for CO2‐to‐CO conversion. The density functional theory calculations suggest that the adsorption of CO2 on unsaturated Ag‐site is stabilized by C−H⋅⋅⋅O hydrogen‐bonding of CO2 in a microenvironment surrounded by three benzimidazole rings, and the activation of CO2 is dependent on the coordination dynamics of Ag‐centers modulated by the hosted anions through Ag⋅⋅⋅X interactions. Efficiently generating 3D holograms is one of the most challenging research topics in the field of holography. This work introduces a method for generating multi‐depth phase‐only holograms using a fully convolutional neural network (FCN). The method primarily involves a forward–backward‐diffraction framework to compute multi‐depth diffraction fields, along with a layer‐by‐layer replacement method (L2RM) to handle occlusion relationships. The diffraction fields computed by the former are fed into the carefully designed FCN, which leverages its powerful non‐linear fitting capability to generate multi‐depth holograms of 3D scenes. The latter can smooth the boundaries of different layers in scene reconstruction by complementing information of occluded objects, thus enhancing the reconstruction quality of holograms. The proposed method can generate a multi‐depth 3D hologram with a PSNR of 31.8 dB in just 90 ms for a resolution of 2160 × 3840 on the NVIDIA Tesla A100 40G tensor core GPU. Additionally, numerical and experimental results indicate that the generated holograms accurately reconstruct clear 3D scenes with correct occlusion relationships and provide excellent depth focusing. Recently, defect‐engineered nanoparticles have emerged as highly researched materials in catalytic applications because of their exceptional redox reaction capabilities and physicochemical and optical properties. The properties of nanomaterials can be readily adjusted by controlling the nature and concentration of defects within the nanoparticles, avoiding the need for intricate design strategies. This review investigates defect engineering in nanocatalysts, including the design, fabrication, and applications. Initially, the various categories and strategies of nanomaterial defects and their impacts on the nanocatalysts' electronic and surface properties, catalytic activity, selectivity, and stability are summarized. Then, the catalytic processes and their uses, including gas sensing, hydrogen (H2) evolutions, water splitting, reductions of carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrogen to value‐aided products, pollutant degradation, and biomedical (oncotherapy, antibacterial and wound healing, and biomolecular sensing) applications are discussed. Finally, the limitations in defect engineering and the prospective paths for allowing the logical design and optimization of nanocatalytic materials for long‐term and efficient applications are also examined. This comprehensive review gives unique insights into the current state of defect engineering in nanocatalysts and inspires future research on exploiting shortcomings to improve and customize catalytic performance. The introduction of nanomaterials as modified electrode materials into the field of electrochemical sensing is expected to improve the reliability, sensitivity, selectivity and repeatability of electrochemical sensors in detecting pollutants in the water environment. In this study, copper vanadate nanomaterials (Cu3V2O7(OH)2·2H2O, referred to as CVO) and Cu3V2O7(OH)2·2H2O/polyyaniline (PANI) composite nanomaterials (referred to as CVO/PANI) are successfully prepared and characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrum (FTIR), X‐ray traveling‐action (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR‐TEM). The modified glassy carbon electrodes (GCE) with these two materials are used for the detection of benzoic acid (BA) and exhibit excellent electrochemical sensing performance. The results show that two pairs of semi‐reversible redox peaks exist in both CVO and CVO/PANI modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) in BA solution. The linear range of CVO and CVO/PANI nanomaterials‐modified GCE is 0.01–2 mm and 0.001–2 mm, and the limits of detection are 2.16 and 0.41 µm, respectively. PANI plays important role in the electrochemical responses of BA at CVO/PANI modified GCE. PANI enhances the intensities of CV peaks and electrochemical determination ability for BA.
