In the realm of intelligent cockpits, the predominant emphasis on enhancing driving safety and comfort through human‐vehicle interaction and driving behavior monitoring has conventionally centered on the upper body of the driver. Regrettably, the wealth of information inherent in the lower half of the driver's body, particularly the feet, tends to be systematically underestimated by researchers. A specialized intelligent carpet tailored for automotive cockpits that integrates sponge‐based triboelectric sensor to monitor driver's foot movement is proposed. The intelligent carpet contains two areas, namely the human‐vehicle interaction sensing area and the driving intention monitoring area. With the human‐vehicle interaction sensing area, the driver can interact with the vehicle through the left foot, resulting in reducing the occupation of visual resources and hand load. Furthermore, the driving intention monitoring area supported by the right foot can effectively identify driver's intentions and driver's behaviors, which are essential to trajectory prediction, optimal path planning, and driving safety. Tumour medical image segmentation plays a crucial role in clinical imaging diagnosis. Existing research has achieved good results, enabling the segmentation of three tumour regions in MRI brain tumour images. Existing models have limited focus on the brain tumour areas, and the long‐term dependency of features is weakened as the network depth increases, resulting in blurred edge segmentation of the targets. Additionally, considering the excellent segmentation performance of the Swin Transformer(Swin‐T) network, its network structure and parameters are relatively large. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a brain tumour segmentation framework with deep nuanced reasoning and Swin‐T. It is mainly composed of the backbone hybrid network (BHN) and the deep micro texture extraction module (DMTE). The BHN combines the Swin‐T stage with a new downsampling transition module called dual path feature reasoning (DPFR). The entire network framework is designed to extract global and local features from multi‐modal data, enabling it to capture and analyze deep texture features in multi‐modal images. It provides significant optimization over the Swin‐T network structure. Experimental results on the BraTS dataset demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms other state‐of‐the‐art models in terms of segmentation performance. Li−S batteries with high energy density have the potential to become a viable alternative to Li‐ion batteries. However, Li−S batteries still face several challenges, including the shuttle effect, low conversion kinetics, and Li dendrite growth. Natural clay minerals with porous structures, abundant Lewis‐acid sites, high mechanical modulus, and versatile structural regulation show great potential for improving the performance of Li−S batteries. However, so far, relevant reviews focusing on the applications of natural clay minerals in Li−S batteries are still missing. To fill the gap, this review first presents an overview of the crystal structures of several natural clay minerals, including 1D (halloysites, attapulgites, and sepiolite), 2D (montmorillonite and vermiculite), and 3D (diatomite) structures, providing a theoretical basis for the application of natural clay minerals in Li−S batteries. Subsequently, research advancements in the natural clay‐based energy materials in Li−S batteries have been comprehensively reviewed. Finally, the perspectives concerning the development of natural clay minerals and their applications in Li−S batteries are provided. We hope this review can provide timely and comprehensive information on the correlation between the structure and function of natural clay minerals in Li−S batteries and offer guidance for material selection and structure optimization of natural clay‐based energy materials. Anion exchange membranes with auxiliary group were prepared by quaternized brominated polyphenylene oxide and hydroxyl tertiary amine. The basic properties of the membrane were characterized using ion exchange capacity, water content, linear expansion rate, thermal weight loss, acid resistance and microstructure of membrane, and so forth. The application of the membrane in the recovery of acid by diffusion dialysis (DD) was also explored showing the excellent comprehensive performance where the dialysis coefficient of HCl (UH+) increases from 0.011 to 0.033 m/h, but the separation factor (S) is over 35.6. Comparing with the commercial DF‐120 membrane (0.009 m/h, 18.5), the auxiliary hydroxyl with group can improve DD performance of the membrane markedly. Our finding shows the membranes with auxiliary hydroxyl group developed here have great potential for high‐efficiency acid recovery by diffusion dialysis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nucleotide‐binding (NB) leucine‐rich repeat (LRR) receptors (NLRs) provide resistance against several plant pathogens. We previously cloned the wheat powdery mildew resistance gene Pm21, which encodes a coiled‐coil (CC) NLR that confers broad‐spectrum resistance against Blumeria graminis f. sp. tritici. Here, we report comprehensive biochemical and functional analyses of Pm21 CC domain in Nicotiana benthamiana. Transient overexpression assay suggested that only the extended CC (eCC, amino acid residues 1–159) domain has cell‐death‐inducing activity, whereas the CC‐containing truncations, including CC‐NB and CC‐NB‐LRR, do not induce cell‐death responses. Coimmunoprecipitation (Co‐IP) assay showed that the eCC domain self‐associates and interacts with the NB and LRR domains in planta. These results imply that the activity of the eCC domain is inhibited by the intramolecular interactions of different domains in the absence of pathogens. We found that the LRR domain plays a crucial role in D491V‐mediated full‐length (FL) Pm21 autoactivation. Some mutations in the CC domain leading to the loss of Pm21 resistance to powdery mildew impaired the CC activity of cell‐death induction. Two mutations (R73Q and E80K) interfered with D491V‐mediated Pm21 autoactivation without affecting the cell‐death‐inducing activity of the eCC domain. Notably, some susceptible mutants harbouring mutations in the CC domain still exhibited cell‐death‐inducing activity. Taken together, these results implicate the CC domain of Pm21 in cell‐death signalling and disease‐resistance signalling, which are potentially independent of each other. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
