The present study introduces a nature inspired improved liver cancer algorithm (ILCA) for solving the non‐convex engineering optimization issues. The traditional LCA (t‐LCA) inspires from the conduct of liver tumours and integrates biological ethics during the optimization procedure. However, t‐LCA facing stagnation issues and may trap into local optima. To avoid such issues and provide the optimal solution, there are some modifications are implemented into the internal structure of t‐LCA based on Weibull flight operator, mutation‐based approach, quasi‐opposite‐based learning and gorilla troops exploitation‐based mechanisms to enhance the overall strength of the algorithm to obtain the global solution. For validation of ILCA, the non‐parametric and the statistical analysis are performed using benchmark standard functions. Moreover, ILCA is applied to resolve the stochastic renewable‐based (wind turbines + PVs) optimal power flow problem using a modified RER‐based IEEE 57‐bus. The objective of this work is to obtain the minimum predicted power losses and enhance the predicted voltage stability. By incorporation of renewable resources into the modified IEEE57‐bus network can help the system to reduce the power losses from 5.6622 to 3.8142 MW, while the voltage stability is enhanced from 0.1700 to 0.1164 p.u. In this work, we enhance the sustainability of an enterprise network (EN) by complementing it with an expert system that apprehends the explore‐exploit behavioural intelligence of Physarum to survive against the attractive‐adversarial nutritional environment. EN sustainability is dynamic since it depends on how well EN can react to an adversarial environment. We capture a reverse analogy to characterize EN's workload‐environment with Physarum's nutritive‐environment, where the high volume of workloads at the backbone network corresponds to a poor‐nutrient environment. The expert system explores EN to find out how to manage the workloads as Physarum handles its survivability, and exploits the users' workload patterns by grouping the highly communicating users together to redesign the network structure as Physarum's intelligence to exploit energy from rich‐ and poor‐nutrient food sources through redesigned tubular structures. We define two factors, such as nutrient‐intensity and chemo‐attractant to aid the redesign process. EN evolves through a set of redesigned clusters with an objective function to maximize its sustainability for a given set of explored workloads by minimizing the workloads through the backbone. EN evolution terminates when there is no change in the backbone utilization, resembling the organism's stay in a dormant state until it experiences a favourable environment. Our experimental results on an EN with a higher volume of workloads at the backbone producing 14.26 kWh energy consumption demonstrated that the developed expert system reduced the energy consumption to 11.27 kWh, thus enhanced the sustainability from 21% to 61%. The performance of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) in image classification and object detection has been remarkable, even though they contain millions and billions of parameters. This over‐parameterization of CNN makes them both memory‐intensive and computationally complex and exhaustive. This greatly hinders the application of CNNs in resource‐constrained environments such as Internet of things (IoT) and edge devices. This poses a critical challenge for CNNs in deploying these powerful computer vision tools to mobile devices, which needs immediate attention. In this study, we have proposed a novel technique based on non‐convex optimization, max‐norm regularization. The max‐norm will structurally prune the number of parameters without compromising the model's performance. The proximal gradient descent algorithm is used for network optimization while using this non‐convex regularizer. The max‐norm is combined with the channel pruning to achieve more sparse CNN networks. Later, the pruned network can be easily deployed in the resource‐constrained application environment. The proposed technique is tested on several benchmark datasets for validation. In addition, in this study, the sparsified CNNs are used for biomedical image analysis using the BRAIN MRI dataset. This sparsely trained CNN model can later serve as the best lightweight model applicable in the IoT healthcare sector for detecting and classifying three types of brain tumours, one of the most life‐threatening diseases whose early detection can save the costly lives of human beings. This is the first paper to propose the novel max‐norm regularizer to enforce sparse learning through CNNs. Wikipedia information is extracted by DBpedia and linked to other web resources as Linked Open Data, which is an important contribution to the field of semantics. As part of its internationalisation endeavour, DBpedia now has 20 language chapters that have been mapped to it; nonetheless, there have been very few attempts from Urdu. This article outlines the procedures and highlights the efforts put forward as the first contribution to the manual creation of Urdu mappings with DBpedia Ontology classes. Our approach led to an increase in the number of mapped infoboxes, thus enhancing the DBpedia. The mapping procedure is broken down into two parts. The infobox template is first mapped to the DBpedia ontology's relevant class, and then the attributes of the infobox are mapped to the properties of that class. In addition, alongside other mapped languages, Urdu labels are included to the description of Ontology classes. Machine learned chemical potentials have shown great promise as alternatives to conventional computational chemistry methods to represent the potential energy of a given atomic or molecular system as a function of its geometry. However, such potentials are only as good as the data they are trained on, and building a comprehensive training set can be a costly process. Therefore, it is important to extract as much information from training data as possible without further increasing the computational cost. One way to accomplish this is by training on molecular forces in addition to energies. This allows for three additional labels per atom within the molecule. Here we develop a neural network potential energy surface for studying a hydrogen transfer reaction between two isomers of C5H5${\mathrm{C}}_5{\mathrm{H}}_5$. We show that, for a much smaller training set, force training not only improves the accuracy of the model compared to only training on energies, but also provides more accurate and smoother first and second derivatives that are crucial to run dynamics and extract vibrational frequencies in the context of transition‐state theory. Summary: Background: The dural puncture epidural technique is a modification of the combined spinal‐epidural technique. Data comparing the two techniques are limited. We performed this randomised study to compare the quality of labour analgesia following initiation of analgesia with the dural puncture epidural vs. the combined spinal‐epidural technique. Methods: Term parturients requesting labour epidural analgesia were allocated randomly to receive either dural puncture epidural or combined spinal‐epidural. Analgesia was initiated with 2 mg intrathecal bupivacaine and 10 μg fentanyl in parturients allocated to the combined spinal‐epidural group and with 20 ml ropivacaine 0.1% with 2 μg.ml‐1 fentanyl in parturients allocated to the dural puncture epidural group. Analgesia was maintained using patient‐controlled epidural analgesia with programmed intermittent epidural boluses. The primary outcome of the study was the quality of labour analgesia, which was defined by a composite of five components: asymmetric block after 30 min of initiation (difference in sensory level of more than two dermatomes); epidural top‐up interventions; catheter adjustment; catheter replacement; and failed conversion to neuraxial anaesthesia for caesarean delivery, requiring general anaesthesia or replacement of the neuraxial block. Results: One hundred parturients were included in the analysis (48 combined spinal‐epidural, 52 dural puncture epidural). There were no significant differences between the two groups in the primary composite outcome of quality of analgesia (33% in the combined spinal‐epidural group vs. 25% in the dural puncture epidural group), risk ratio (95%CI) 0.75 (0.40–1.39); p = 0.486. Median (IQR [range]) pain scores at 15 min were significantly lower in patients allocated to the combined spinal‐epidural group compared with the dural puncture epidural group (0 (0–1[0–8]) vs. 1 (0–4 [0–10]); p = 0.018). Conclusions: There were no significant differences in the quality of labour analgesia following initiation of a combined spinal‐epidural compared with a dural puncture epidural technique. We show that the resonant frequencies of a system of coupled resonators in a truncated periodic lattice converge to the essential spectrum of the corresponding infinite lattice. We use the capacitance matrix as a model for fully coupled subwavelength resonators with long‐range interactions in three spatial dimensions. For one‐, two‐ or three‐dimensional lattices embedded in three‐dimensional space, we show that the (discrete) density of states (DOS) for the finite system converges in distribution to the (continuous) DOS of the infinite system. We achieve this by proving a weak convergence of the finite capacitance matrix to corresponding (translationally invariant) Toeplitz matrix of the infinite structure. With this characterisation at hand, we use the truncated Floquet transform to introduce a notion of spectral band structure for finite materials. This principle is also applicable to structures that are not translationally invariant and have interfaces. Based on in vitro data, the oxidative hepatic metabolism of zongertinib is principally driven by cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4/5. Therefore, zongertinib may be affected by strong CYP3A inducers, like carbamazepine.This study aimed to investigate the effect of multiple oral doses of carbamazepine on the pharmacokinetics of a single oral dose of zongertinib in healthy male subjects.This open‐label, two‐period, fixed‐sequence clinical drug–drug interaction study examined the pharmacokinetics of a single 60‐mg oral dose of zongertinib in the absence or presence of multiple oral doses of carbamazepine. The extent of drug–drug interaction was estimated using the adjusted geometric mean ratios (and 90% confidence intervals [CIs]) for the test treatment (zongertinib in the presence of carbamazepine) versus the reference treatment (zongertinib alone) for areas under the plasma concentration–time curve from time 0 to infinity and to the last quantifiable time point (AUC0–∞, AUC0–tz) and maximum measured plasma concentration (Cmax).Sixteen subjects (all Caucasian males) received zongertinib alone in Study Period 1, and 15 of them received both zongertinib and carbamazepine in Study Period 2. Upon co‐administration with carbamazepine in Study Period 2, AUC0–∞ and AUC0–tz of zongertinib were both reduced to 36.5% (90% CI: 32.0%–41.6% for AUC0–∞ and 31.9%–41.7% for AUC0–tz). The Maddox rod is a staple in the assessment of strabismus. However, its optics mechanism is puzzling. How is it that an orthogonal line focus is formed? Surprisingly, few texts offer an explanation and those that do either provide insufficient detail, contain misleading information or are difficult to follow. There is a prevalent misconception that multiple cylinders are required for the orthogonal line focus to appear. However, this is untrue; Maddox himself only used a single cylinder when he first described the phenomenon. The latest strain of Oreochromis niloticus is an altered ecological adaptation for sustainable aquaculture and is necessary to sustain stocking density and reduce physiological stress of the new strain. The present study aimed to determine the optimum stocking density, biological performance, and economic efficiency of the Nile tilapia. The 14,000 healthy seeds and uniform weight (40 ± 2.4 g) sex‐reversed Oreochromis niloticus were stocked in four cages, which are cage (1) 20 fish/m3, cage (2) 30 fish/m3, cage (3) 40 fish/m3, and cage (4) 50 fish/m3. The fish were fed 30% dietary protein and feeding frequency three times per day and the feeding rate adjusted according to the fish body weight. Results showed a significantly higher growth, weight gain, and specific growth rate in Nile tilapia stocking density on cage (1), 20 fish/m3 and cage (2), 30 fish/m3 compared to cage (3), 40 fish/m3 and cage (4), 50 fish/m3 (p < .05). The survival and growth rate showed an inverse relationship with stocking density. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) is the lowest in cage (1) and cage (2), which is significantly different from those of other cages (p < .05). The profit index (%) was significantly higher at low density. There was no significant variation in the HSI, VSI and CF. The digestive enzymes such as lipase and amylase were secreted highly in the cages (3) and (4) but high protease was secreted in cage (1). The lipid, ash, and protein of the whole fish were reduced to a lower density, but the moisture levels in the fish bodies raised significantly (p < .05) with increasing stocking density. The phenomenal regression indicates that 25–35 fish/m3 are optimum stocking density for Nile tilapia in the cage culture system. ABSTRACT In this experimental study, a new technique is designed and presented for controlling the rotor side converter of an induction generator (IG) for multi‐rotor wind turbine (MRWT) systems. The direct power command (DPC) strategy is used to regulate the reactive and active power (Qs and Ps). DPC is characterized by several drawbacks, the most prominent of which are low durability, low current/power quality, and the use of power estimation. Therefore, a new PDPI (proportional‐derivative proportional‐integral) regulator is used as a suitable solution to overcome these shortcomings while maintaining simplicity, achieving a rapid dynamic response, and obtaining gains that characterize the DPC. The suggested DPC for controlling the IG inverter of an MRWT system uses two PDPI regulators and pulse width modulation (PWM) to create and generate the pulses necessary to run and regulate the IG inverter. First, the DPC‐PDPI‐PWM is verified in a MATLAB using different tests, and the characteristics of the DPC‐PDPI‐PWM is compared to that of DPC under different working conditions for a 1500 kW IG. Second, the validity of the simulated results is verified using the Hardware‐in‐the loop (HIL) test for the DPC‐PDPI‐PWM, and dSPACE 1104 is used for this purpose. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the DPC‐PDPI‐PWM approach over DPC, as the harmonic distortion of the stream is minimized by 36.66%, 22.68%, and 33.33% in the three proposed tests. Also, the overshoot value of Ps was reduced compared to DPC by ratios estimated at 70.96%, 71.42%, and 70.31% in all tests. DPC‐PDPI‐PWM also reduces the steady‐state error of Qs compared to DPC by 68.33%, 58.82%, 67.90% in all tests performed. Optimal reactive power dispatch (ORPD) is taken as a vital problem related to electric power networks for economic and control operations. Nowadays, thermal generators are no longer utilized and renewable resources (RERs) have been integrated owing to their marvellous benefits. The integration of RERs into power networks is considered as a strenuous imposition due to their uncertainties. The objective is to determine the placement of four wind and four PV units into large‐scale 118‐bus network to reduce expected power losses. The normal, lognormal, and Weibull distributions are utilized to model system uncertainties, while Monte‐Carlo simulation and reduction‐based approaches are utilized to generate the novel set of optimal scenarios. To avoid stagnation problems in skilled optimization algorithm (SOA), three strategies such as fitness‐distance balance selection, mutation, and gorilla troops‐based approaches are utilized to improve overall strength of SOA. Effectiveness of ESOA is proved via statistical and non‐parametric analysis using benchmark functions, the results are further compared with other optimization techniques. The proposed ESOA is also used to resolve the deterministic and stochastic ORPD frameworks to reduce power losses and expected power losses. The boosting of base fluid thermal transport is a remarkable significance in the current research era, and numerous types of techniques are being utilized to achieve this goal. The mixture of nanoparticles inside the host fluid is responsible to improve base fluid thermal performance. The modified Buongiorno's nanofluid model is explored in the current study along with the significant trihybrid nanoparticle ((TiO2+Al2O3+MoS2)−Water)$({({{\mathrm{TiO}}_{\mathrm{2}}{\mathrm{ + A}}{{\mathrm{l}}}_{\mathrm{2}}{{\mathrm{O}}}_{\mathrm{3}}{\mathrm{ + Mo}}{{\mathrm{S}}}_{\mathrm{2}}}){\mathrm{ - Water}}})$ effect. The fundamental equations of the chosen flow model are transformed using a similarity transformation, and the succeeding equations are then resolved numerically using the discretization of Keller‐Box in MATLAB. The primary velocity profile is directly raised with large values of the Hartman number, unsteady, and Ellis's fluid parameters, while an inverse curves trend is reported in secondary velocity. The primary speed of fluid is significantly greater compared to di and mono‐hybrid cases, and this study reveals that optimal thermal transport is achieved against tri‐hybrid cases. Background and Purpose: The efficacy and safety of ravulizumab, a terminal complement C5 inhibitor, in adults with anti‐acetylcholine receptor antibody‐positive (AChR Ab+) generalized myasthenia gravis (gMG) were demonstrated in the CHAMPION MG study (NCT03920293). This analysis aimed to characterize the latency to onset of a clinically meaningful therapeutic effect for ravulizumab. Methods: Post hoc analysis of data collected for up to 60 weeks from CHAMPION MG was performed to assess the timing of response to ravulizumab. Response was analyzed based on reductions of ≥2 and ≥3 points (minimal clinically important differences [MCIDs]) in Myasthenia Gravis–Activities of Daily Living (MG‐ADL) and Quantitative Myasthenia Gravis (QMG) total scores, respectively, and on more rigorous reductions of ≥3 and ≥5 points, respectively. Time to first response was assessed using the Kaplan–Meier product‐limit method. Results: The median (95% confidence interval) time to first response was 2.1 (2.1–2.6) and 4.1 (2.3–10.0) weeks for reductions of ≥2 and ≥3 points in MG‐ADL total score, respectively (n = 139), and 4.1 (2.1–10.0) and 18.3 (11.0–33.4) weeks for reductions of ≥3 and ≥5 points in QMG total score, respectively (n = 134). Cumulative response rates at Week 60 (data cut‐off) were 88% and 82% for ≥2‐ and ≥3‐point MG‐ADL score reductions, respectively, and 86% and 59% for ≥3‐ and ≥5‐point QMG score reductions, respectively. Conclusions: The median times to MCID with ravulizumab treatment in patients with AChR Ab+ gMG were ~2 weeks and ~4 weeks based on MCID MG‐ADL and QMG total score reductions, respectively. Bismuth ferrite (BiFeO3)‐based high‐temperature piezoelectric ceramics have high Curie temperatures and excellent thermal stability; however, their applications are limited by inadequate piezoelectric performance due to large coercive fields and high leakage conduction. This study investigates the impact of MnO2 doping on the phase transition, defect structure, domain morphology, as well as the dielectric, ferroelectric, and electrical conduction behaviors of 75BiFeO3–25BaTiO3 ceramics sintered under an oxygen atmosphere. A structural transformation from distorted rhombohedral to pseudo‐cubic symmetry was observed with increasing MnO2 content, accompanied by domain fragmentation. MnO2 doping at an appropriate level inhibited defects such as Fe′Fe$\ {\mathrm{F}}{{{\mathrm{e^{\prime}}}}_{{\mathrm{Fe}}}}$ and VO2−⋅⋅$V_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}^{{\mathrm{2}} - }}}^{\centerdot \centerdot }$. Regarding electrical properties, the reduction in rhombohedral distortion and enhancement in the pseudo‐cubic phase after MnO2 doping resulted in decreased remanent polarization and electrostrain, which could potentially hinder piezoelectric response. However, appropriate MnO2 doping effectively reduced leakage conduction, significantly enhancing the poling efficiency of the ceramics. The maximum d33 value of 107 pC/N and kp of 0.36 were achieved at an MnO2 doping content of 0.1 wt.%. Excessive MnO2 addition may generate 2Mn′Ti−VO2−⋅⋅${\mathrm{2M}}{{{\mathrm{n^{\prime}}}}_{{\mathrm{Ti}}}}-V_{{{{\mathrm{O}}}^{{\mathrm{2}} - }}}^{\centerdot \centerdot }$ defect dipoles, as indicated by increased coercive field (Ec) and dielectric loss. The observed increase in high‐temperature resistivity with MnO2 content is primarily attributed to reduced grain size and increased concentration of mobile defects. Global agrifood supply chains are under increasing pressure to address sustainability issues due to growing concerns. However, numerous organizations within the agrifood industry are struggling to incorporate sustainable supply chain management practices and address the concerns. Therefore, this research is designed to identify the key critical factors, such as drivers, enablers, and barriers to adopting sustainable practices. This study considers the Ethiopian coffee industry, which is an important sector not only for the Ethiopian economy but also for the global agrifood supply chain. To accomplish the objectives of this study, we applied a systematic literature review and empirical survey. A systematic literature review was conducted to identify critical factors for adopting sustainability in agrifood supply chains. An empirical survey was then undertaken in the Ethiopian coffee industry to rank the key critical factors. Hence, the study has revealed that economic and productivity improvement, cost effectiveness and improvement in the overall performance, and difficulty in mindset and cultural changes as the key critical factors that determine the adoption of sustainability initiatives from the perspectives of the Ethiopian coffee supply chain. The findings can be used as input by government regulatory bodies and policymakers to craft strategies and policies to adopt sustainability initiatives and ensure sustainable development. This article presents a comprehensive review on the contemporary condition of electrical energy in the SAARC countries with particular focus on conventional as well as renewable resources. The region lies at the center of the Asia with a dense population where demand and supply gap has always been a challenging factor for the governments. In addition, the region has observed enormous industrial growth during past two and half decades whose sustainability is totally dependent upon the continuous supply of energy. A bulk of valuable literature has been published in recent years that addresses the challenges, infrastructure improvements margins and several schemes to mitigate the energy deficiency in the region but most of it focuses upon either generation or transmission. This article covers this gap and presents to‐the‐point data that can be used for future forecasting, cross‐border trade possibilities and indigenous energy generation for remote and islanded regions within and across the SAARC mainland. A detailed review on electrical power generation potential by exploiting the renewable energy resources (RERs), generation capacity, installed capacity, energy short fall and transmission and distribution (T&D) losses is presented for each SAARC country and the results are presented in forms of tables and graphs. It can be inferred from the data presented in this paper that the energy crisis of the SAARC region can be overcome by mutual trade among the land‐connected countries by transporting the electrical energy, generated through RERs, across the borders. The paper concludes that the region has enormous potential for renewable energy available in form of hydal, solar, wind and biomass that, if maturely harnessed, can only not fulfil the local demands of the region but also be exported to establish the framework of cross‐border energy trade in future for sustainability of industrial and domestic utilization. Little is known about the relative impact of lighting duration and light intensity on lettuce production, as well as whether daily light integrals (DLIs) play a significant role during different plant growth stages. Four DLIs were tested: 8.64, 11.52, 12.96, and 17.28 mol m−2 day−1 as supplemental lighting, which were obtained from a combination of supplemental light intensities at 200 and 300 µmol m−2 day−1 for 12 and 16 h. Sunlight was used as control. A direct correlation was observed between DLIs and yield, total fresh weight, and total dry weight. Under supplemental lighting, relative growth rate (RGR) increased due to an increase in net assimilation rate (NAR) rather than in leaf area ratio (LAR). Plants in the seedling stage were more sensitive to an elevation in DLI than in the head stage. This was confirmed by a greater increase in NAR compared to their corresponding control under the same DLI. Increasing DLI also improved lettuce quality via reducing nitrate and increasing protein content. Higher DLIs (12.96 and 17.28 mol m−2 day−1) led to a decrease in maximum quantum yield of photosystem II and an increase in performance index. In conclusion, manipulating RGR through NAR adjustments proved to be more effective than changes in LAR, and adjusting supplemental DLI at each stage was necessary to achieve a larger NAR and, consequently, a larger RGR. The present perspective accentuates the synthesis of PANI‐CuFe2O4 (PCF) nanocomposite, and photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue (MB) dye using a synthesized composite. The stable PCF is confirmed and characterized by analytical techniques, namely, fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and X‐ray photoelectron (XPS) spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), energy‐dispersive X‐ray (EDX), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM) analysis. The synthesized PCF nanocomposites are significantly crystalline in nature, having magnetic saturation of 10.47 emu g−1, and monoclinic crystalline structure as well as the size of nanocomposite is 39.54 nm verified by XRD pattern. SEM analysis revealed a regular porous and rough surface of nanocomposite. In addition, the nanocomposite divulged the remarkable efficient elimination of MB dye with maximum removal of 96% with good fitting of Langmuir isotherm, indication of monolayer formation on the catalyst surface through the interaction between nanocomposite and dye molecule. The adsorption kinetics bolstered the pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model, suggesting the adsorption process proceeded by chemisorption. The goal of this research study was to identify and prioritize the significant cybersecurity challenges that vendor firms encounter during software development. Using Systematic Literature Reviews (SLRs), 13 significant challenges were found, including "Security issues/Access of Cyberattacks", "Lack of Right Knowledge", "Cost Security Issues", and "Lack of Confidentiality and Trust" among others. To address these concerns, a multifaceted strategy that prioritizes continuing education, training, and investment in cybersecurity measures, as well as cross‐industry cooperation and coordination with government entities, is required. These challenges were ranked using the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F‐AHP). We obtained the following results after applying the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process: CSC1 (Cyber Security Challenge‐1) "Security Issues/Access of Cyber Attacks", CSC2 "Lack of Right Knowledge", and CSC3 "Framework" are the top most critical cyber security challenges, with weightages of 0.1687, 0.1672, and 0.1194, respectively. This study lays the groundwork for future research and assists vendor organizations in addressing the cybersecurity concerns they face during software development. The study also emphasizes the significance of addressing cybersecurity during the software development process in order to avoid the financial and reputational losses associated with cyber intrusions. Polymeric three‐dimensional (3D) porous scaffolds were prepared through medium internal phase emulsion (MIPE) templating. Their potential applicability as substrates for culturing human breast cancer (MCF‐7) cells and human neuroblastoma (SH‐SY5Y) cells was investigated. The crosslinked starch nanoparticle‐stabilized oil‐in‐water MIPEs containing acrylamide/methylenebisacrylamide/poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) in the continuous phase cured in 1 and 6 h to produce 3D porous scaffolds called, respectively, PolyMIPE‐SP and PolyMIPE‐SP after the removal of the internal oil phase. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE‐SEM) micrographs revealed uniform interconnected porous structures with average pore sizes of 46.74 and 7.13 μm for PolyMIPE‐LP and PolyMIPE‐SP, respectively. Cell viability and cell culture studies exhibited that the biocompatibility, proliferation, and growth of SH‐SY5Y and MCF‐7 cells on PolyMIPE‐LP were better than those on PolyMIPE‐SP due to the proper placement of cells in large pores. Then, deposited conductive polyaniline (PANI) nanoparticles on the pore surface of PolyMIPE‐LP induced a rough surface with a nanoprotrusion structure and balanced hydrophobicity/hydrophilicity, enhancing cell growth in the scaffold. The cyclic voltammograms revealed that the conductivity of PolyMIPE‐LP/PANI scaffolds depends directly on the swelling degree of the scaffold. Consequently, these findings make PolyMIPE‐LP/PANI a suitable bioactive substrate for electroactive cell studies, chemo‐photothermal therapy of cancer cells, and drug testing platforms. Objective: The objective of this study is to estimate the association between physician's age, sex, clinical and communication competencies, and cultural background on benzodiazepines and Z‐drugs (BDZ) prescribing to older adults with insomnia. Methods: A cohort of international medical graduates (IMGs) who completed their pre‐residency licensure exam in 1998–2004 were linked to all U.S. Medicare patients they provided care to in 2014–2015. Their care records in Parts A, B, and D from all physicians were extracted. The first outpatient visit for insomnia to a study IMG was identified for each patient in that period. The outcome was incident BDZ prescribing by the study physician following the visit. Main exposures were physician age, sex, citizenship at birth, and clinical and communication competency as measured on the licensure exam. The association between physician characteristics and BDZ prescribing, adjusting for physician and patient covariates, was estimated using generalized estimating equations multivariable logistic regression. Results: We analyzed 28 018 patients seen by 4069 unique physicians. IMGs born in all other regions of the world were less likely to prescribe BDZs compared to U.S.‐born IMGs, with physicians from the United Kingdom being least likely (OR 0.54 [95%CI 0.34–0.85]). Neither physician's clinical competency nor communication ability were associated with BDZ prescribing (OR per 10% increase, respectively: 0.95 [95%CI 0.88–1.02] and 0.98 [95%CI 0.93–1.04]). Older physicians remain more likely to prescribe BDZ (OR per 5‐year increase 1.04 [95%CI 1.00–1.08]). Conclusions: The associations between cultural background and physician's age on BDZ prescribing highlight the potential targets for remedial solutions to reduce the use of potentially inappropriate medications. In accordance with the current European railway regulations and particularly the two directives relating to the interoperability (Directive (EU) 2016/797) and safety (Directive (EU) 2016/798) of the railway system, this literature review proposes to classify artificial intelligence (AI) applications by distinguishing the structural elements (Infrastructure, Energy, Control‐Command‐Signalling and Rolling Stock) and the functional elements (Operation and Traffic Management, Maintenance and Telematics Applications) of the European railway system. Several "classic" AI techniques are implemented, including machine learning (supervised, semi‐supervised, unsupervised), deep learning such as artificial neural networks (ANN), natural language processing (NLP), case‐based reasoning (CBR), etc. However, the inadequacy of these approaches to capitalize, share and reuse the knowledge involved has oriented research towards the development of new approaches based on ontologies and knowledge graphs. This study shows that the stages of data acquisition, modeling, processing and interpretation pose a crucial problem in rail transport. In addition, with complex models described as "black boxes", it is difficult to understand how the internal reasoning mechanisms of the AI system impact the solution and predictions. Objective: To evaluate a referral‐based, tele‐otology service in rural and remote areas of the Northern Territory, Australia. Methods: A retrospective observational cohort study was performed of a tele‐otology service in 93 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities (2011 to 2019). Assessments included face‐to‐face examinations performed by Clinical Nurse Consultants and audiologists, and asynchronous reviews performed by otolaryngologists. Multivariable logistic regression was performed to determine the likelihood of ear disease, adjusted for age and gender. Intra‐ and inter‐rater agreement was assessed between otolaryngologists. Results: A total of 3,950 patients were reviewed (6,838 encounters, 13,726 ear assessments). The median age of patients was 9.8 years (interquartile range: 7.2 years). Overall, 62.2% of patients were identified with ear disease and 62.5% identified with hearing loss. Substantial intra‐ and inter‐rater agreement in diagnosis was found between otolaryngologists (κ = 0.71 and κ = 0.78, respectively). The most common ear conditions identified were chronic otitis media (COM, 28.1%) and otitis media with effusion (OME, 16.5%). Topical or oral antibiotics were initiated in 14.1% of all encounters, most often for acute otitis media or COM. Surgery was recommended in 27.7% of all encounters, most often myringoplasty, adenoidectomy, and myringotomy with insertion of tympanostomy tubes. Conclusion: Tele‐otology is a critical component of an integrated approach to evaluating ear disease in Indigenous people living in rural and remote areas. The high prevalence of OME, COM, and surgical recommendations highlights the need for community engagement, regular follow‐up, and early interventions to prevent long‐term hearing loss. The growing ubiquity of Internet of Things (IoT) devices within smart homes demands the use of advanced strategies in IoT implementation, with an emphasis on energy efficiency and security. The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) within the IoT framework improves the overall efficiency of the network. An inefficient mechanism of parent selection at the network layer of IoT causes energy drain in the nodes, particularly near the sink node. As a result, nodes die earlier, causing network holes that further increase the control message overhead as well as the energy consumption of the network, compromising network security. This research introduces an AI‐based approach to parent selection of the Routing Protocol for Low Power and Lossy networks (RPL) at the network layer of IoT to enhance security and energy efficiency. A novel objective function, named Energy and Parent Load Objective Function (EA‐EPL), is also proposed that considers the composite metrics, including energy and parent load. Extensive experiments are conducted to assess EA‐EPL against OF0 and MRHOF algorithms. Experimental results show that EA‐EPL outperformed these algorithms in improving energy efficiency, network stability, and packet delivery ratio. Erythropoietin (Epo), a glycosylated protein categorized as a member of the cytokine family, is responsible for the modulation of erythrogenesis. Besides this, the nonhaematopoietic effects of Epo are associated with tissue‐protective activity via an antiapoptotic pathway. This function of Epo is linked with its heterodimeric form, i.e. EpoR/βcR belonging to the cytokine family as well. Both receptors are dissected into three domains: extracellular (also known as ligand‐binding domain), transmembrane and cytoplasmic domain. The transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains are assumed to play a paramount role in dimerization and tissue protection. However, the tertiary structure of cytoplasmic domains of both EpoR and βcR was not reported in the literature. Inspired by the potential therapeutic applications, we aimed to investigate the interaction pattern of EpoR/βcR using in silico tools. Cytoplasmic domains of EpoR and βcR were modelled, structural refinement was carried out through Rosetta, and these were then quality verified by well‐known quality matrices. The observed results were found to be structurally consistent with the amenable geometry showing stereochemical sustainability. The modelled cytoplasmic domains were then successfully merged with the remaining domains (extracellular and transmembrane domains) of the respective receptors through MOEv2019.01 and Modeller. The complete structures of EpoR and βcR were subjected to geometry optimization and energy minimization via dynamic studies. The refined structures were subjected to protein–protein docking to yield the heterocomplex. Here, we report on the optimized structure coordinates of EpoR/βcR, the plausible electrostatic interactions involving G191, V206, T214, S241, T244, E336, R337, M342, G348, T349, E362 and K373 of EpoR and D336, S337, Y338, K333, R391, M426, H494, Q495, S717, S722, Y750 and G758 of βcR. Subsequently, we performed screening utilizing the StraPep database to identify Epo mimetic agents with the potential to enhance their tissue‐protective effects. Following the virtual screening, four hits (4HQX, 4XO8, 1TPO and 3EZM) were obtained based on the binding affinity and protein–ligand interaction fingerprinting (PLIF). The stability exhibited by the four selected peptides in the binding site of the EpoR/βcR heterocomplex became visible during visual inspection. Bangladesh is one of the most populated countries in the world. More than 200 air quality index values were recorded in January and February since 2017, indicating that the air quality was unhealthy to very unhealthy. In this work, water‐soluble inorganic anions (WSIAs) in fine particulate matter (PM2.5) in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh with a population of around 21 million, were evaluated. Accordingly, PM2.5 was collected using a quartz filter coupled with an active air sampler set in Dhaka University campus, Bangladesh, during February 2023, to analyze WSIAs. The 24‐h average PM2.5 mass, 156 ± 44.8 μg/m3, was almost nine times higher than the WHO limit values of 15.0 μg/m3 and about three times higher than the Bangladesh Department of Environment limits of 65.0 μg/m3. Fluoride, chloride, bromide, nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate were among the water‐soluble ions that were determined using ion chromatography. While bromide and nitrite were found to be below the detection limit, the mean concentrations of fluoride, chloride, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate were determined to be 0.086 ± 0.010, 2.27 ± 0.332, 10.2 ± 1.29, 2.23 ± 0.424, and 11.0 ± 1.45 μg/m3, respectively. The highest levels of PM2.5 and the relevant anions were determined to be present during February 9‐10, 2023. Sulfate accounted for almost 43% of the anions in the overall PM2.5. According to the results of the statistical analysis, the high concentrations of sulfate and nitrate in PM2.5 in Dhaka, Bangladesh, were primarily caused by sulfur‐containing fossil fuels, especially sulfur‐containing diesel, coal, and unfit automobiles, while the main sources of fluoride and chloride were fire retardants, burning of textile, and municipal solid wastes. The emergence of drug resistance in cancer cells eventually causing relapse is a serious threat that demands new advances. Upregulation of the ATP‐dependent binding cassette (ABC) transporters, such as ABCB1, significantly contributes to the emergence of drug resistance in cancer. Despite more than 30 years of therapeutic discovery, and several generations of inhibitors against P‐gp, the search for effective agents that minimize toxicity to human cells, while maintaining efflux pump inhibition is still underway. Leads derived from natural product scaffolds are well‐known to be effective in various therapeutic approaches. Inspired by the biosynthetic pathway to Nocardioazine A, a marine alkaloid known to inhibit the P‐gp efflux pump in cancer cells, we devised a regioselective pathway to create structurally unique indole‐C3‐benzyl cyclo‐L‐Trp‐L‐Trp diketopiperazines (DKPs). Using bat cells as a model to derive effective ABCB1 inhibitors for targeting human P‐gp efflux pumps, we have recently identified exo‐C3‐N‐Dbn‐Trp2 (13) as a lead ABCB1 inhibitor. This C3‐benzylated lead inhibited ABCB1 better than Verapamil.[21] Additionally, C3‐N‐Dbn‐Trp2 restored chemotherapy sensitivity in drug‐resistant human cancer cells and had no adverse effect on cell proliferation in cell cultures. For a clearer structure‐activity relationship, we developed a broader screen to test C3‐functionalized pyrroloindolines as ABCB1 inhibitors and observed that C3‐benzylation is outperforming respective isoprenylated derivatives. Results arising from the molecular docking studies indicate that the interactions at the access tunnel between ABCB1 and the inhibitor result in a powerful predictor for the efficacy of the inhibitor. Based on fluorescence‐based assays, we conclude that the most efficacious inhibitor is the p‐cyano‐derived exo‐C3‐N‐Dbn‐Trp2 (33 a), closely followed by the p‐nitro substituted analogue. By combining assay results with molecular docking studies, we further correlate that the predictions based on the inhibitor interactions at the access tunnel provide clues about the design of improved ABCB1 inhibitors. As it has been well documented that ABCB1 itself is powerfully engaged in multi‐drug resistance, this work lays the foundation for the design of a new class of inhibitors based on the endogenous amino acid‐derived cyclo‐L‐Trp‐L‐Trp DKP scaffold. This study is aimed at determining how gamma irradiation (5, 10, and 15 kGy) of sorghum flour affects the physicochemical, functional, pasting, and thermal characteristics of sorghum starch. The pattern of Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) spectra and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) intensity confirmed that starch structure and granules integrality were mostly preserved. Both native and irradiated starches revealed an A‐type XRD pattern, with the irradiated starches showing lower crystallinity. However, scanning electron microscopy showed that the irradiation dose enhances the development of fissures and surface cracking on elliptical, irregular, and spherical starch granules. Starch impurities such as protein and fat decreased with increasing irradiation dose. Furthermore, the increased dosages were associated with increased solubility and syneresis. The flour also showed a remarkable improvement in the absorption of water (1.19 to 1.52 g/g) and oil (1.24 to 1.58 g/g) as the doses increased. Gamma irradiation–induced depolymerization and reduced crystallinity in sorghum starch also resulted in significant reductions in viscosity and changes in gelatinization temperatures, reflecting altered pasting properties and thermal characteristics. Overall, gamma irradiation at higher doses transformed the functional and structural properties of sorghum starch, suggesting potential applications in food and industrial sectors, where reduced retrogradation or viscosity is beneficial. Background and Aim: Intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN)‐derived pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) management is generally extrapolated from pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PanIN)‐derived PDAC guidelines. However, these are biologically divergent, and heterogeneity further exists between tubular and colloid subtypes. Methods: Consecutive upfront surgery patients with PanIN‐derived and IPMN‐derived PDAC were retrospectively identified from international centers (2000–2019). One‐to‐one propensity score matching for clinicopathologic factors generated three cohorts: IPMN‐derived versus PanIN‐derived PDAC, tubular IPMN‐derived versus PanIN‐derived PDAC, and tubular versus colloid IPMN‐derived PDAC. Overall survival (OS) was compared using Kaplan–Meier and log‐rank tests. Multivariable Cox regression determined corresponding hazard ratios (HR) and 95% confidence intervals (95% CI). Results: The median OS (mOS) in 2350 PanIN‐derived and 700 IPMN‐derived PDAC patients was 23.0 and 43.1 months (P < 0.001), respectively. PanIN‐derived PDAC had worse T‐stage, CA19‐9, grade, and nodal status. Tubular subtype had worse T‐stage, CA19‐9, grade, nodal status, and R1 margins, with a mOS of 33.7 versus 94.1 months (P < 0.001) in colloid. Matched (n = 495), PanIN‐derived and IPMN‐derived PDAC had mOSs of 30.6 and 42.8 months (P < 0.001), respectively. In matched (n = 341) PanIN‐derived and tubular IPMN‐derived PDAC, mOS remained poorer (27.7 vs 37.4, P < 0.001). Matched tubular and colloid cancers (n = 112) had similar OS (P = 0.55). On multivariable Cox regression, PanIN‐derived PDAC was associated with worse OS than IPMN‐derived (HR: 1.66, 95% CI: 1.44–1.90) and tubular IPMN‐derived (HR: 1.53, 95% CI: 1.32–1.77) PDAC. Colloid and tubular subtype was not associated with OS (P = 0.16). Conclusions: PanIN‐derived PDAC has worse survival than IPMN‐derived PDAC supporting distinct outcomes. This paper studies wave localization in chains of finitely many resonators. There is an extensive theory predicting the existence of localized modes induced by defects in infinitely periodic systems. This work extends these principles to finite‐sized systems. We consider one‐dimensional, finite systems of subwavelength resonators arranged in dimers that have a geometric defect in the structure. This is a classical wave analog of the Su–Schrieffer–Heeger model. We prove the existence of a spectral gap for defectless finite dimer structures and find a direct relationship between eigenvalues being within the spectral gap and the localization of their associated eigenmode. Then, for sufficiently large‐size systems, we show the existence and uniqueness of an eigenvalue in the gap in the defect structure, proving the existence of a unique localized interface mode. To the best of our knowledge, our method, based on Chebyshev polynomials, is the first to characterize quantitatively the localized interface modes in systems of finitely many resonators. The genus Xylaria comprises a diverse group of fungi with a global distribution and significant ecological importance, known for being a source of bioactive secondary metabolites with antibacterial, antioxidative, anticarcinogenic, and additional properties. In this study, we present a comprehensive taxonomic revision of the species of Xylaria found in some parts of southern China, characterized by an extensive multilocus phylogeny analysis based on internal transcribed spacer (ITS), TUB2 (β‐tubulin), and DNA‐directed RNA polymerase II subunit 2 (rpb2) gene regions. Morphological examination and detailed comparative analyses of the collected specimens were conducted to determine the distinctiveness of each species. The multilocus phylogeny approach allowed us to infer evolutionary relationships and assess species boundaries accurately, leading to the identification of 40 novel Xylaria species hitherto unknown to science. The newly described species are: X. baoshanensis, X. bawanglingensis, X. botryoidalis, X. dadugangensis, X. doupengshanensis, X. fanglanii, X. glaucae, X. guizhouensis, X. japonica, X. jinghongensis, X. jinshanensis, X. kuankuoshuiensis, X. liboensis, X. negundinis, X. orbiculati, X. ovata, X. pseudoanisopleura, X. pseudocubensis, X. pseudobambusicola, X. pseudoglobosa, X. pseudohemisphaerica, X. pseudohypoxylon, X. puerensis, X. qianensis, X. qiongzhouensis, X. rhombostroma, X. serratifoliae, X. shishangensis, X. shuqunii, X. shuangjiangensis, X. sinensis, X. tongrenensis, X. umbellata, X. xishuiensis, X. yaorenshanensis, X. yinggelingensis, X. yumingii, X. yunnanensis, X. zangmui, and X. zonghuangii. The study's findings shed light on the distinctiveness of the newly described species, supported by both morphological distinctions and phylogenetic relationships with their close relatives. The traditional clustering algorithms are not appropriate for large real‐world datasets or big data, which is attributable to computational expensiveness and scalability issues. As a solution, the last decade's research headed towards distributed clustering using the MapReduce framework. This study conducts a bibliometric review to assess, establish, and measure the patterns and trends of the MapReduce‐based partitioning, hierarchical, and density clustering algorithms over the past decade (2013–2023). A digital text‐mining‐based comprehensive search technique with multiple field‐specific keywords, inclusion measures, and exclusion criteria is employed to obtain the research landscape from the Scopus database. The Scopus‐obtained data is analyzed using the VOSViewer software tool and coded using the R statistical analysis tool. The analysis identifies the numbers of scholarly articles, diversities of article sources, their impact and growth patterns, details of most influential authors and co‐authors, most cited articles, most contributing affiliations and countries, and their collaborations, use of different keywords and their impact, and so forth. The study further explores the articles and reports the methodologies employed for designing MapReduce‐based counterparts of traditional partitioning, hierarchical, and density clustering algorithms and their optimizations and hybridizations. Finally, the study lists the main research challenges encountered in the past decade for MapReduce‐based partitioning, hierarchical, and density clustering. The global recognition of eco‐friendly products like plant‐based dyes is escalating, driven by their exceptional biological and Ayurvedic attributes. This study isolates colorants from mango turmeric (Curcuma aromatica) using ultrasonic irradiation, supplemented with bio‐mordants to enhance color retention. Through the utilization of Response Surface Methodology and Central Composite Design, a technique that was optimized was completed to maximize coloring variables using statistical analysis. Results from 32 experimental runs reveal that optimal color depth (K/S = 19.399) was achieved with ultrasonic‐treated silk fabric (20 min exposure) using 65 mL of irradiated aqueous extract (20 min) with a pH of 5, supplemented with 1.5 g/100 mL salt of sodium chloride, maintained the temperature 75°C for the 45 min. Precoloring treatment with acacia, pomegranate, and pistachio extracts at specified concentrations enhanced colorfastness. Postdyeing, alterations in the concentrations of these extracts led to further improvements in colorfastness. Notably, adding Al+3 and Fe+2 salts, alongside tannic acid, exhibited notable effects in both pre‐ and postdyeing stages. While the colorfastness properties of unmordated silk fabric was lower than mordanted dyed silk fabric. Irradiation with ultrasonic waves significantly boosted the amount of dye that could be extracted from rhizomes of mango turmeric. Moreover, the application of bio and synthetic mordants in a strategic manner led to colorfastness ratings on silk fabric that ranged from excellent to satisfactory. Sustainable hybrid composites, made of two different natural plant fiber types, are increasingly being attracted by composite researchers, for their cost effectiveness and ability to control mechanical performances through varying weight ratios of different fibers. In contrast, their lower mechanical properties are reported in the literature, because of strength variations of different fiber types and an improper fiber‐matrix stress distribution. Therefore, it is aimed to develop sustainable hybrid composites from two dry fiber preforms—woven fabric and short fiber preform—originated from same fiber type (jute). A highly packed short fiber preform is used as the core layer, while woven fabrics (plain/twill–rib/twill–diamond) are used in the skin layers for producing sandwiched hybrid jute composites. Mechanical tests and scanning electron microscopy images show that hybridized plain fabric/short fiber preform composites have better mechanical properties (≈58 MPa tensile strength/≈117 MPa flexural strength/≈112.12 kJm−2 impact strength with an ≈487.4% improvement) compared to other fabric structures hybrid/nonhybrid composites. This enhancement is related to the interlocking of short fibers with long plain fabric leading to a strong fiber‐matrix interfacial bonding. Background: The Levodopa Equivalent Daily Dosage (LEDD) calculation algorithms help in capturing and harmonization of Parkinson's Disease (PD) therapies. Analyzing these updates is essential for validating their effectiveness. Objective: To assess updated LEDD conversion factors in capturing the newer therapies in PD and therapy modules in different geographical cohorts. Methods: Data were sourced from 10 Centers from 6 countries representing 2 different continents. The study compared the LEDD conversion factors proposed by Tomlinson et al and Jost et al, alongside investigating demographic disparities. Results: The analysis involved 2943 subjects; 87% (n = 2577) met the UK Brain Bank criteria for PD. The LEDD differed significantly across methodologies (Tomlinson vs. Jost, 598 mg vs 610 mg, P < 0.0001). Geographical disparities highlighted variations in PD onset age (P < 0.0001). Jost and Tomlinson's calculations demonstrated consistency within but significant differences across countries (P < 0.0001).Age at onset revealed statistically significant differences in LEDD requirements (P < 0.0001), which were particularly higher in 21–50 years (718 mg vs 566 mg). This subgroup also demonstrated increased usage of non‐Levodopa therapies (P < 0.0001). Men exhibited higher total LEDD (P = 0.001). 34% reported dyskinesia, associated with higher LEDD (756 mg, P < 0.0001). Surgically treated patients also had higher LEDD (P < 0.0001) and a significant difference between Jost and Tomlinson dosages (761 mg vs716mg) reflecting the incorporation of newer therapeutic molecules. Conclusion: This analysis delineates the importance of updated LEDD algorithms and intricacies in the landscape of PD treatment, underscored by geographical, age‐related, and gender‐specific variations, in real‐life management scenarios. Background: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and Computed tomography (CT) are crucial imaging techniques in both diagnostic imaging and radiation therapy. MRI provides excellent soft tissue contrast but lacks the direct electron density data needed to calculate dosage. CT, on the other hand, remains the gold standard due to its accurate electron density information in radiation therapy planning (RTP) but it exposes patients to ionizing radiation. Synthetic CT (sCT) generation from MRI has been a focused study field in the last few years due to cost effectiveness as well as for the objective of minimizing side‐effects of using more than one imaging modality for treatment simulation. It offers significant time and cost efficiencies, bypassing the complexities of co‐registration, and potentially improving treatment accuracy by minimizing registration‐related errors. In an effort to navigate the quickly developing field of precision medicine, this paper investigates recent advancements in sCT generation techniques, particularly those using machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL). The review highlights the potential of these techniques to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sCT generation for use in RTP by improving patient care and reducing healthcare costs. The intricate web of sCT generation techniques is scrutinized critically, with clinical implications and technical underpinnings for enhanced patient care revealed. Purpose: This review aims to provide an overview of the most recent advancements in sCT generation from MRI with a particular focus of its use within RTP, emphasizing on techniques, performance evaluation, clinical applications, future research trends and open challenges in the field. Methods: A thorough search strategy was employed to conduct a systematic literature review across major scientific databases. Focusing on the past decade's advancements, this review critically examines emerging approaches introduced from 2013 to 2023 for generating sCT from MRI, providing a comprehensive analysis of their methodologies, ultimately fostering further advancement in the field. This study highlighted significant contributions, identified challenges, and provided an overview of successes within RTP. Classifying the identified approaches, contrasting their advantages and disadvantages, and identifying broad trends were all part of the review's synthesis process. Results: The review identifies various sCT generation approaches, consisting atlas‐based, segmentation‐based, multi‐modal fusion, hybrid approaches, ML and DL‐based techniques. These approaches are evaluated for image quality, dosimetric accuracy, and clinical acceptability. They are used for MRI‐only radiation treatment, adaptive radiotherapy, and MR/PET attenuation correction. The review also highlights the diversity of methodologies for sCT generation, each with its own advantages and limitations. Emerging trends incorporate the integration of advanced imaging modalities including various MRI sequences like Dixon sequences, T1‐weighted (T1W), T2‐weighted (T2W), as well as hybrid approaches for enhanced accuracy. Conclusions: The study examines MRI‐based sCT generation, to minimize negative effects of acquiring both modalities. The study reviews 2013‐2023 studies on MRI to sCT generation methods, aiming to revolutionize RTP by reducing use of ionizing radiation and improving patient outcomes. The review provides insights for researchers and practitioners, emphasizing the need for standardized validation procedures and collaborative efforts to refine methods and address limitations. Hamman's syndrome, a rare complication of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), is characterized by subcutaneous emphysema and spontaneous pneumomediastinum. This case report discusses the occurrence of Hamman's syndrome in an 11‐year‐old adolescent male newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) and presenting with severe DKA. The patient exhibited symptoms typical of DKA, including polydipsia, polyuria, abdominal pain, and fatigue, alongside signs such as dehydration, Kussmaul breathing, and tachycardia. Following initial management with intravenous fluids and insulin infusion, he was transferred to a tertiary children's hospital for further care. Subsequently, on routine examination, he exhibited bilateral neck crepitus and a mediastinal crunching sound on auscultation, indicative of Hamman's syndrome. Conservative management led to symptom resolution, and the patient was discharged with follow‐up arranged. This case highlights the importance of recognizing Hamman's syndrome as a potential complication of DKA in pediatric patients. Prompt diagnosis and management, along with differentiation from more severe conditions like Boerhaave's syndrome, are crucial for ensuring favorable outcomes. In this study, a D‐shaped, extremely sensitive surface plasmon resonance (SPR) sensor with a blue shift characteristic is proposed that can be used to identify various malignant cancer cells. A sensing layer made of titanium is inserted to produce intense sensitivity. For the simulation and numerical evaluation of the proposed biosensor, we used the finite element method (FEM) and the COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6 software. To regulate how much light passes through the sensor, which incites the released electrons at the surface of the plasmonic material, air holes in different radii are used. The characteristics that make our proposed sensor superior to other D‐shaped SPR sensors are—it gives an excellent amplitude sensitivity (AS) of 200 RIU−1 also ensures extremely high wavelength sensitivity (WS) spanning from 34,350 to 42,145 nm/RIU with an outstanding spectral resolution of 2.37 × 10−6 RIU. Furthermore, the R2 (0.9966) value is also extremely close to 1 which ensures the quality of our sensor regarding its performance. The given sensor is tailored for four vital human cancers, which are blood cancer, skin cancer, cervical cancer, and adrenal gland cancer. Here, optimization of the structural geometric parameters, plasmonic materials, and material thickness are also conducted in search of the best functionality of the sensor. Background: The convergence of the economic crisis, COVID‐19 pandemic, and Beirut Blast has precipitated unprecedented challenges for the healthcare system in Lebanon, particularly for cancer patients. Amidst these crises, our study evaluates its contribution to a concerning trend of operating on more late‐stage and complex colorectal cancer (CRC) cases. Methods: We included 155 patients operated for CRC between 2017 and 2023. Patients age; sex; operation type (emergency or elective); tumor size, grade, and location; tumour, node, metastasis stage; lymphatic, vascular and perineural invasions; American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) score, presentation and previous history, and complications were examined. Results: Surgical outcomes remained relatively consistent before and after the crisis. However, there was a notable increase, with patients being 3.59 times more likely to undergo resection of adjacent organs in metastatic disease post‐crisis. Patient characteristics also exhibited notable shifts, with a 9.60‐fold increase in the likelihood of having an ASA score of at least 2 after the crisis. Additionally, there was a 5.36‐fold decrease in the odds of patients undergoing a colonoscopy before their diagnostic one post‐crisis. Preoperative carcinoembryonic antigen levels were significantly elevated post‐crisis compared to pre‐crisis levels. Pathological findings revealed increased odds of perineural, vascular, and lymphatic invasion post‐crisis. Additionally, there was a notable increase in the likelihood of hepatic synchronous metastases post‐crisis. Furthermore, a trend to operate on complicated diseases was noted with an increased number of colostomies. Conclusion: The economic crisis in Lebanon has profoundly affected early intervention and comprehensive treatment for CRC patients, resulting in a concerning rise in late‐stage cases requiring surgical intervention. Background: Changes in gene expression related to obesity are linked to microRNAs, such as miR‐141, which play a crucial role in metabolic homeostasis. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), an enzyme that plays a crucial role in regulating various cellular functions and metabolism, is implicated in obesity and the ensuing non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). The aim of this research was to evaluate the levels of miR‐141 and its relationship with SIRT1 and NAFLD. Methods: A group of 100 adults (50 with obesity and 50 with normal‐weight) were selected and underwent complete clinical evaluation and anthropometric measurements. Biochemical parameters were assessed in blood serum, and the levels of miR‐141 in plasma were measured by real‐time PCR. The expression of the SIRT1 gene was also evaluated in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells using Real‐time PCR. The ELISA technique was used to determine insulin levels. Liver steatosis was assessed by ultrasound. Results: The results showed that levels of miR‐141 were significantly increased in participants with obesity compared with the control group. Conversely, the expression of the SIRT1 gene in individuals with obesity was lower than that in control participants. A strong negative correlation was observed between miR‐141 and SIRT1 and a strong positive association was observed between miR‐141 and metabolic parameters. Furthermore, participants with fatty liver had significantly elevated levels of miR‐141 gene expression and lower expression of SIRT1 gene, compared to those without fatty liver. Conclusion: elevated levels of miR‐141 in individuals with obesity might be a contributing factor in the repression of SIRT1 in obesity and its consequences, including NAFLD. Objective: This study proposed to assess the effect of Cryptocarya moschata extract on single and mixed biofilms formed on denture base and reline acrylic resin. Materials and Methods: Single and mixed biofilms of Candida albicans and Streptococcus mutans were formed on the samples and treated with C. moschata extract; Nystatin solution at 100,000 IU/mL or Penicillin antibiotic solution at 100,000 IU/mL; or PBS solution. Antimicrobial activity was analyzed by counting colony‐forming units, metabolism assay, assessment of protein components of the biofilm matrix, and of cell viability using confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM). Data were submitted to ANOVA and Tukey's post‐test (α = 0.05). Results: Cryptocarya moschata extract reduced cell viability of C. albicans and S. mutans single and mixed biofilms formed on samples. For all types of biofilms in the C. moschata group, there was a log reduction of the biofilm, proven by the Alamar Blue assay. Analyzing the extracellular matrix protein components, groups treated with the extract exhibited a lower level of fluorescence compared to the PBS groups. Reduction in thickness biofilm and viable cells was perceptible in the C. moschata group when assessing through CLSM. Conclusion: Cryptocarya moschata extract reduced the single and mixed biofilms of C. albicans and S. mutans on acrylic resins. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Objective: The use of plant‐derived products in aquaculture has garnered considerable attention due to their potential benefits. This study investigated the impact of supplementing Withania coagulans root powder (WCRP) in the diet of Common Carp Cyprinus carpio on various parameters, including growth performance, digestive enzymes, hematology, antioxidant activity, and immunological aspects. Methods: Common Carp (mean weight ± standard deviation = 11.69 ± 0.48 g) were divided into four groups in triplicate, receiving different WCRP concentrations (0.0, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0%; labeled as WCRP0, WCRP1.0, WCRP1.5, and WCRP2.0, respectively) over a 60‐day period, followed by an experimental challenge with Aeromonas hydrophila to assess the relative percentage survival (RPS) over 14 days. Result: Results showed that Common Carp receiving WCRP1.5 and WCRP2.0 demonstrated significantly improved growth performance, with reduced feed conversion ratios (FCRs) being particularly evident in WCRP1.5. Polynomial contrasts indicated significant linear and quadratic effects on weight gain and FCR. Additionally, WCRP1.5 and WCRP2.0 supplementation led to significantly higher activity of digestive enzymes (lipase and protease). Hematological parameters, including white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, and hematocrit, were significantly elevated in fish that were fed WCRP1.5 and WCRP2.0 compared to the control group. Moreover, serum parameters, such as total protein, albumin, globulin, lysozyme, catalase, superoxide dismutase, and total immunoglobulins, were significantly enhanced in WCRP1.5‐ and WCRP2.0‐treated fish. Notably, the WCRP1.5 group showed the lowest serum cortisol levels. The RPS was highest in WCRP1.5 (73.77%), followed by WCRP2.0 (70.43%), compared to the other groups. Conclusion: In conclusion, supplementation with WCRP1.5 and WCRP2.0 effectively improved both growth and health parameters in Common Carp. Objective: This study investigated the effects of supplementing Nile Tilapia Oreochromis niloticus diets with wild olive Olea europaea leaf extract (WLE) on growth performance, digestive enzymes, and antioxidant and immunological parameters. Methods: Wild olive leaf extract was added at different concentrations (WLE 0.0 [control], 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0%) and fed to triplicate fish groups for 12 weeks. At the end of the trial period, growth performance, body composition, digestive enzyme activities, and hematological, biochemical, antioxidant, and immunological parameters were evaluated. Result: According to the results, fish that were fed with WLE 1.5% and WLE 2.0% exhibited significantly improved weight gain, specific growth rate, and feed intake. The feed conversion ratio (FCR) was significantly reduced in fish supplied with WLE 1.5% and WLE 2.0%. Additionally, weight gain and FCR showed significance at both the linear and quadratic levels, as indicated by polynomial contrasts. However, the experimental diets did not impact fish body composition, digestive enzyme activity, or survival rate. Fish that received WLE 1.5% and WLE 2.0% showed significantly higher levels of white blood cells, red blood cells, hemoglobin, and hematocrit compared with the WLE 1.0% and control groups. Moreover, significant enhancements were observed in serum parameters, including total protein, albumin, globulin, lysozyme, catalase, superoxide dismutase, and total immunoglobulins, for the WLE 1.5% and WLE 2.0% groups compared with the control. Fish that were fed WLE 1.5% exhibited the lowest serum cortisol level.
