While proposing dual carbon strategy goals, research on carbon reduction in integrated energy systems (IESs) has become a focus of attention. Traditional IES carbon emission flow is mostly based on energy flow, without considering the differences in energy quality. Exergy can be used as a reasonable measure of energy quality. Combining the theory of exergy flow and carbon emission flow, a modeling and analysis method for IES carbon emission flow considering energy quality is proposed. First, exergy flow models for electric and natural gas systems, equivalent exergy flow models for heat systems, and exergy hub models are introduced. Afterward, the exergy branch losses are allocated to the nodes at both ends. A networked modeling method for the carbon emission flow of energy stations is proposed. A unified matrix calculation model for IES carbon emission flow considering energy quality is established. On this basis, an IES carbon emission flow calculation method considering energy quality is proposed. Finally, this method is applied to the test IES, and the results show that the carbon emission flow calculation results reflect the distribution of carbon emissions borne by the effective energy supplied by the source and consumed by the load in the system, taking into account both the quantity and quality of energy. The reasonable allocation of new energy is conducive to synchronously improving the energy efficiency, exergy efficiency, and cleanliness of the system. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With the development of the economy and society, we are faced with the dual challenges of energy demands and environmental pollution. As one of the important marine renewable energies, wave energy is widely distributed and abundant, and has considerable applications in various fields. Oscillating body wave energy converter (WEC) is most popular among WECs; its energy conversion efficiency is thus one of the key issues for practical large‐scale applications. This article establishes a new model of the float and vibrator under different motion conditions, conducts simulation training, and then solves the displacement and velocity at different times, and finally optimizes the maximum output power and optimal damping coefficient. Simulink calculation is one of the most effective tools including neural networks, which allows us to achieve intelligent training and simulation. The obtained data imply that the maximum output power could be 8.102 W when the corresponding linear damping is 21,000 N s/m and the rotation damping is 95,000 N s/m. The article takes into account the pitching motion of the float, providing a more realistic model and obtaining optimal power absorbing efficiency. Despite the tremendous progress in cancer treatment in recent decades, cancers often become resistant due to multiple mechanisms, such as intrinsic or acquired multidrug resistance, which leads to unsatisfactory treatment effects or accompanying metastasis and recurrence, ultimately to treatment failure. With a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms of tumors, researchers have realized that treatment designs targeting tumor resistance mechanisms would be a promising strategy to break the therapeutic deadlock. Nanodelivery systems have excellent physicochemical properties, including highly efficient tissue‐specific delivery, substantial specific surface area, and controllable surface chemistry, which endow nanodelivery systems with capabilities such as precise targeting, deep penetration, responsive drug release, multidrug codelivery, and multimodal synergy, which are currently widely used in biomedical researches and bring a new dawn for overcoming cancer resistance. Based on the mechanisms of tumor therapeutic resistance, this review summarizes the research progress of nanodelivery systems for overcoming tumor resistance to improve therapeutic efficacy in recent years and offers prospects and challenges of the application of nanodelivery systems for overcoming cancer resistance. Prostate cancer treatment decisions rely heavily on subjective visual interpretation [assigning Gleason patterns or International Society of Urological Pathology (ISUP) grade groups] of limited numbers of two‐dimensional (2D) histology sections. Under this paradigm, interobserver variance is high, with ISUP grades not correlating well with outcome for individual patients, and this contributes to the over‐ and undertreatment of patients. Recent studies have demonstrated improved prognostication of prostate cancer outcomes based on computational analyses of glands and nuclei within 2D whole slide images. Our group has also shown that the computational analysis of three‐dimensional (3D) glandular features, extracted from 3D pathology datasets of whole intact biopsies, can allow for improved recurrence prediction compared to corresponding 2D features. Here we seek to expand on these prior studies by exploring the prognostic value of 3D shape‐based nuclear features in prostate cancer (e.g. nuclear size, sphericity). 3D pathology datasets were generated using open‐top light‐sheet (OTLS) microscopy of 102 cancer‐containing biopsies extracted ex vivo from the prostatectomy specimens of 46 patients. A deep learning‐based workflow was developed for 3D nuclear segmentation within the glandular epithelium versus stromal regions of the biopsies. 3D shape‐based nuclear features were extracted, and a nested cross‐validation scheme was used to train a supervised machine classifier based on 5‐year biochemical recurrence (BCR) outcomes. Nuclear features of the glandular epithelium were found to be more prognostic than stromal cell nuclear features (area under the ROC curve [AUC] = 0.72 versus 0.63). 3D shape‐based nuclear features of the glandular epithelium were also more strongly associated with the risk of BCR than analogous 2D features (AUC = 0.72 versus 0.62). The results of this preliminary investigation suggest that 3D shape‐based nuclear features are associated with prostate cancer aggressiveness and could be of value for the development of decision‐support tools. © 2023 The Pathological Society of Great Britain and Ireland. This study presents a grid‐searching method in polar coordinate system (GSMIPCS) for the partial discharge (PD) location, in which the grids were divided into sectors according to radial distance r, azimuthal angle θ and polar angle φ. After theoretically proving that the positioning angle error, based on time difference of arriving algorithm, is relatively small, this study gives the process of PD positioning in two‐dimensional and three‐dimensional polar coordinates. Thereafter, this study discusses the optimal setting of grid parameters. The simulation results show that the success rate of angle positioning (SROAP), i.e. a percentage of positioning number with positioning angle error <2° in the total positioning number, for θ angle using two‐dimensional (2D) GMSIPCS is 95.87%. For 3D GMSIPCS, the SROAP for θ and φ are 86.18 and 92%, respectively; and the computational cost is lower to 216. The partial discharge (PD) in a void of epoxy solid insulation is a typical kind of PD behaviour, its occurrences may lead to complete breakdown of the insulation system. The microscopic process of particle movement is simulated here by using particle in cell‐Monte–Carlo collision (PIC‐MCC) method, which possesses great significance for researching typical discharge. The simulation results of void discharge and point discharge show detailed motion process and the Townsend discharge phenomenon. The PD current pulse waveform possesses similar trends of steep rising edge and gentle falling edge compared with Gaussian function. The behaviour of discharge events is influenced by many factors, such as electric field strength, void thickness, and polarity effect. Thus, the characteristics of PD are discussed and compared by adjusting these simulation parameters to find out internal connection and performance differences. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
