Whistler‐mode hiss waves are crucial to the dynamics of Earth's radiation belts, particularly in the scattering and loss of energetic electrons and forming the slot region between the inner and outer belts. The generation of hiss waves involves multiple potential mechanisms, which are under active research. Understanding the role of hiss waves in radiation belt dynamics and their generation mechanisms requires analyzing their temporal and spatial evolutions, especially for strong hiss waves. Therefore, we developed an Imbalanced Regressive Neural Network (IR‐NN) model for predicting hiss amplitudes. This model addresses the challenge posed by the data imbalance of the hiss data set, which consists of predominantly quiet‐time background samples and fewer but significant active‐time intense hiss samples. Notably, the IR‐NN hiss model excels in predicting strong hiss waves (>100 pT). We investigate the temporal and spatial evolution of hiss wave during a geomagnetic storm on 24–27 October 2017. We show that hiss waves occur within the nominal plasmapause, and follow its dynamically evolving shape. They exhibit intensifications with 1 and 2 hr timescale similar to substorms but with a noticeable time delay. The intensifications begin near dawn and progress toward noon and afternoon. During the storm recovery phase, hiss intensifications may occur in the plume. Additionally, we observe no significant latitudinal dependence of the hiss waves within |MLAT| < 20°. In addition to describing the spatiotemporal evolution of hiss waves, this study highlights the importance of imbalanced regressive methods, given the prevalence of imbalanced data sets in space physics and other real‐world applications. Polymeric binders account for only a small part of the electrodes in lithium‐ion batteries, but contribute an important role of adhesion and cohesion in the electrodes during charge/discharge processes to maintain the integrity of the electrode structure. Therefore, polymeric binders have become one of the key materials to improve the charge/discharge properties of lithium‐ion batteries. Qualified polymer binders should not only require good bond strength, mechanical properties, conductivity, chemical functionality and processing performance, but also be environmentally friendly and low cost. The existing commercial polymeric binders cannot meet all the above requirements at the same time. This is a hot research area that researchers are keen to focus on, and it is hoped that through structural design, the matching of functional groups can meet the requirements of high‐capacity lithium‐ion batteries with long cycle life. Focusing on the structural design of polymer binders, the mechanism of interaction with electrode materials, and the functional properties of polymer binders, this review summarizes the polymer binders used in the cathode and anode in recent years. Counterfeit goods are pervasive, being found in products as diverse as textiles and optical media to pharmaceuticals and sensitive electronics. Here, an anti‐counterfeit platform is reported in which plasmonic nanoparticles (NPs) are used to create unique image tags that can be authenticated quickly and reliably. Specifically, plasmonic NPs are assembled into periodic arrays of NP clusters by template‐assisted self‐assembly (TASA), where the light scattering responses from the arrays are analyzed by dark‐field optical microscopy. Tag design proved modular as plasmonic NPs with different optical responses can be selected and paired with Templates with different features (e.g., well size, well shape, and number and arrangement of wells in an array), giving access to a variety of color responses and unique images. These images can be differentiated from one another and authenticated by image analysis. Authentication methods based on shallow and deep neural networks are compared, where deep neural networks authenticated TASA tags with higher accuracy. Given the ease of tag fabrication and rapid image analysis, these platforms are ideal for on‐the‐fly tagging and supply‐chain authentication of critical goods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Various vaccine platforms were developed and deployed against the COVID‐19 disease. The Fc‐mediated functions of IgG antibodies are essential in the adaptive immune response elicited by vaccines. However, the long‐term changes of protein subunit vaccines and their combinations with messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines are unknown. A total of 272 serum and plasma samples were collected from individuals who received first to third doses of the protein subunit Medigen, the mRNA (BNT, Moderna), or the adenovector AstraZeneca vaccines. The IgG subclass level was measured using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay, and Fc‐N glycosylation was measured using liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry. Antibody‐dependent‐cellular‐phagocytosis (ADCP) and complement deposition (ADCD) of anti‐spike (S) IgG antibodies were measured by flow cytometry. IgG1 and 3 reached the highest anti‐S IgG subclass level. IgG1, 2, and 4 subclass levels significantly increased in mRNA‐ and Medigen‐vaccinated individuals. Fc‐glycosylation was stable, except in female BNT vaccinees, who showed increased bisection and decreased galactosylation. Female BNT vaccinees had a higher anti‐S IgG titer than that of males. ADCP declined in all groups. ADCD was significantly lower in AstraZeneca‐vaccinated individuals. Each vaccine produced specific long‐term changes in Fc structure and function. This research involves conducting unidirectional axial thermal compression experiments on high‐strength titanium‐clad steel plates (TCSPs) at different temperatures and strain rates. Thermally compressed samples are evaluated for macromorphology, microstructure, macroscopic texture, and dislocation density. Deformation consistency is observed in α‐titanium under certain conditions, but not in β‐titanium. Pearlite is the main deformation microstructure near the steel interface, expanding with temperature. Striped grain clusters are observed in the α‐titanium near the interface, enhancing deformation uniformity; furthermore, the prevalence of striped grains increases with higher strain rates. However, dynamic recrystallization in β‐titanium hinderes deformation consistency. The fiber presence of texture <111>//ND ensures consistent deformation consistency, whereas the plate texture {0001} <101¯$\bar{1}$0> in the α‐titanium encourages it. During the deformation process at a consistent rate of strain, it is observed that both matrices initially exhibit a rise, followed by a decline in dislocation density as the temperature increases, peaking at 850 °C. Dislocation density rises as strain rate increases, while temperature remaines constant. At temperatures exceeding 850 °C, bonding strengths decrease with deformation rate and remain comparable. Summary: Iron (Fe) needs to be delivered to different organs and tissues of above‐ground parts for playing its multiple physiological functions once it is taken up by the roots. However, the mechanisms underlying Fe distribution are poorly understood.We functionally characterized OsOPT7, a member of oligo peptide transporter family in terms of expression patterns, localization, transport activity and phenotypic analysis of knockdown lines.OsOPT7 was highly expressed in the nodes, especially in the uppermost node I, and its expression was upregulated by Fe‐deficiency. OsOPT7 transports ferrous iron into the cells coupled with proton. Immunostaining revealed that OsOPT7 is mainly localized in the xylem parenchyma cells of the enlarged vascular bundles in the nodes and vascular tissues in the leaves. Knockdown of OsOPT7 did not affect the Fe uptake, but altered Fe distribution; less Fe was distributed to the new leaf, upper nodes and developing panicle, but more Fe was distributed to the old leaves. Furthermore, knockdown of OsOPT7 also resulted in less Fe distribution to the leaf sheath, but more Fe to the leaf blade.Taken together, OsOPT7 is involved in the xylem unloading of Fe for both long‐distance distribution to the developing organs and local distribution within the leaf in rice. In posterior spine surgery, retractors exert pressure on paraspinal muscles, elevating intramuscular pressure and compromising blood flow, potentially causing muscle injury during ischemia–reperfusion. Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb 761), known for its antioxidant and free radical scavenging properties and its role in treating cerebrovascular diseases, is investigated for its protective effects against muscle ischemia–reperfusion injury in vitro and in vivo. Animals were randomly divided into the control group, receiving normal saline, and experimental groups, receiving varying doses of EGb761 (25/50/100/200 mg/kg). A 2‐h hind limb tourniquet‐induced ischemia was followed by reperfusion. Blood samples collected pre‐ischemia and 24 h post‐reperfusion, along with muscle tissue samples after 24 h, demonstrated that EGb761 at 1000 μg/mL effectively inhibited IL‐6 and TNF‐α secretion in RAW 264.7 cells without cytotoxicity. EGb761 significantly reduced nitric oxide (NO) and malondialdehyde (MDA) levels, myeloperoxidase (MPO) activity, and increased glutathione (GSH) levels compared to the control after 24 h. Muscle tissue sections revealed more severe damage in the control group, indicating EGb761's potential in mitigating inflammatory responses and oxidative stress during ischemia–reperfusion injury, effectively protecting against muscle damage. Camptothecin is a complex monoterpenoid indole alkaloid with remarkable antitumor activity. Given that two C‐10 modified camptothecin derivatives, topotecan and irinotecan, have been approved as potent anticancer agents, there is a critical need for methods to access other aromatic ring‐functionalized congeners (e.g., C‐9, C‐10, etc.). However, contemporary methods for chemical oxidation are generally harsh and low‐yielding when applied to the camptothecin scaffold, thereby limiting the development of modified derivatives. Reported herein, we have identified four tailoring enzymes responsible for C‐9 modifications of camptothecin from Nothapodytes tomentosa, via metabolomic and transcriptomic analysis. These consist of a cytochrome P450 (NtCPT9H) which catalyzes the regioselective oxidation of camptothecin to 9‐hydroxycamptothecin, as well as two methyltransferases (NtOMT1/2, converting 9‐hydroxycamptothecin to 9‐methoxycamptothecin), and a uridine diphosphate‐glycosyltransferase (NtUGT5, decorating 9‐hydroxycamptothecin to 9‐β‐D‐glucosyloxycamptothecin). Importantly, the critical residues that contribute to the specific catalytic activity of NtCPT9H have been elucidated through molecular docking and mutagenesis experiments. This work provides a genetic basis for producing camptothecin derivatives through metabolic engineering. SUMMARY: Bacterial leaf streak (BLS), caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc), is a major bacterial disease in rice. Transcription activator‐like effectors (TALEs) from Xanthomonas can induce host susceptibility (S) genes and facilitate infection. However, knowledge of the function of Xoc TALEs in promoting bacterial virulence is limited. In this study, we demonstrated the importance of Tal10a for the full virulence of Xoc. Through computational prediction and gene expression analysis, we identified the hexokinase gene OsHXK5 as a host target of Tal10a. Tal10a directly binds to the gene promoter region and activates the expression of OsHXK5. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated gene editing in the effector binding element (EBE) of OsHXK5 significantly increases rice resistance to Xoc, while OsHXK5 overexpression enhances the susceptibility of rice plants and impairs rice defense responses. Moreover, simultaneous editing of the promoters of OsSULTR3;6 and OsHXK5 confers robust resistance to Xoc in rice. Taken together, our findings highlight the role of Tal10a in targeting OsHXK5 to promote infection and suggest that OsHXK5 represents a potential target for engineering rice resistance to Xoc. How to optimize and regulate the distribution of phosphoric acid in matrix, and pursuing the improved electrochemical performance and service lifetime of high temperature proton exchange membrane (HT‐PEMs) fuel cell are significant challenges. Herein, bifunctional poly (p‐terphenyl‐co‐isatin piperidinium) copolymer with tethered phosphonic acid (t‐PA) and intrinsic tertiary amine base groups are firstly prepared and investigated as HT‐PEMs. The distinctive architecture of the copolymer provides a well‐designed platform for rapid proton transport. Protons not only transports through the hydrogen bond network formed by the adsorbed free phosphoric acid (f‐PA) anchored by the tertiary amine base groups, but also rely upon the proton channel constructed by the ionic cluster formed by the t‐PA aggregation. Thorough the design of the structure, the bifunctional copolymers with lower PA uptake level (<100%) display prominent proton conductivities and peak power densities (99 mS cm−1, 812 mW cm−2 at 160 °C), along with lower PA leaching and higher voltage stability, which is a top leading result in disclosed literature. The results demonstrate that the design of intermolecular acid–base‐pairs can improve the proton conductivity without sacrificing the intrinsic chemical stability or mechanical property of the thin membrane, realizing win‐win demands between the mechanical robustness and electrochemical properties of HT‐PEMs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

River algal blooms have become a global environmental problem due to their large impact range and environmental hazards. However, the complex mechanisms underlying these blooms make prediction and prevention challenging. Here, we employed empirical dynamic modeling (EDM) and machine learning to reveal the causes and predict diatom blooms from 2003 to 2017 in the Han River of China. The diatom cell density ranged from 0.1 to 5.1 × 107 cells L−1, whereas algal blooms often lasted for 10 days with density exceeding 107 cells L−1. The EDM results elucidated that, under consistent high nutrient concentrations, algal blooms were primarily regulated by eight environmental factors: water temperature in the Han River; water levels, flow velocities, and streamflow discharges in the Han River and the Yangtze River; and water level variation in the Han River. The poor performance (coefficient of determination R2 < 0) of the multiple linear regression, EDM, and random forest models indicated the challenge of predicting algae density. Therefore, we used machine learning classification models to predict algal blooms occurrences. With the resampling techniques to account for imbalanced data, machine learning models achieved perfect classification prediction (Kappa value = 1) of the 13 algae‐bloom events with a 10‐day lead time during a 15‐year period, providing an important reference for preemptive warning of riverine algal blooms. The Han River is one of the most frequent areas of river algal blooms in China, but there is no clear conclusion on the causes of algal blooms formation. Whistler mode waves in the plasmasphere and plumes drive significant losses of energetic electrons from the Earth's radiation belts into the upper atmosphere. In this study, we conducted a survey of amplitude‐dependent whistler wave properties and analyzed their associated background plasma conditions and electron fluxes in the plasmasphere and plumes. Our findings indicate that extremely large amplitude (>400 pT) whistler waves (a) tend to occur at L > 4 over the midnight‐dawn‐noon sectors and have small wave normal angles; (b) are more likely to occur during active geomagnetic conditions associated with higher fluxes of anisotropic electrons at 10 s keV energies; and (c) tend to occur at higher latitudes up to 20° with increasing amplitude. These results suggest that extremely large amplitude whistler waves in the plasmasphere and plumes could be generated locally by injected electrons during substorms and further amplified when propagating to higher latitudes. We utilize plasma wave observations from the Van Allen Probes mission and conduct a survey of whistler mode waves inside the plasmasphere and plumes, which are plasma regions surrounding the Earth and filled with high‐density cold electrons. Statistical results indicate that extremely large amplitude whistler waves are more likely to occur at large L shells (L shell is defined as the distance from magnetic field lines to the center of the Earth at the magnetic equator) in the post‐midnight sectors during active geomagnetic conditions associated with high fluxes of tens of keV electrons exhibiting anisotropic pitch angle distributions (with a flux peak in the direction that is perpendicular to the background magnetic field). These waves tend to occur at higher latitudes with increasing amplitude. Results suggest that these waves could be generated locally by injected electrons during substorm activity and may be further amplified when propagating to higher latitudes. Halide perovskites have gained significant attention in the field of photovoltaics and photocatalysis due to their exceptional optoelectronic properties. However, the exploration of other classes of 2D perovskite materials is limited. In this work, the photocatalytic performance of (HA)PbX4 2D crystals embedded with MoS2 in their bulk structure is investigated. The (HA)PbX4@MoS2 composites are directly synthesized in a (HA)PbX4 crystal solution. Notably, the (HA)PbI4@MoS2 composite exhibits a remarkable 2.94‐fold increase in H2 evolution activity. Furthermore, the composite demonstrated stability in a (HA)PbX4 (HA = histamine, X = I, Br, Cl)‐saturated aqueous HX solution. The photogenerated electrons in (HA)PbX4 are efficiently transferred to the MoS2 sites, facilitating the reduction of protons to H2. BACKGROUND: The sterile insect technique (SIT) has proven to be an effective approach in managing the population of major invasive pests. Our previous studies showed that irradiation of Cydia pomonella males at a dosage of 366 Gy X‐rays resulted in complete sterility. However, the mating competitiveness of sterilized males is significantly compromised, which can be attributed to a decline in their ability to fly. RESULTS: In this study, we examined the flight patterns of both male and female adults of C. pomonella. The results revealed significant variations in the average flight speed of both genders at different stages of maturity, with females displaying longer flight duration and covering greater distances. Effect of irradiation on the flight performance of 3‐day‐old male moths was further evaluated, as they demonstrated the longest flight distance. The findings indicated a significant decrease in flight distance, duration, and average speed, due to wing deformities caused by irradiation, which also limited the dispersal distance of moths in orchards, as indicated by the mark‐and‐recapture assay. Reverse‐transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis revealed a down‐regulation of flight‐related genes such as Flightin, myosin heavy chain, and Distal‐less following radiation exposure. CONCLUSION: These findings demonstrate that X‐ray irradiation at a radiation dose of 366 Gy has a detrimental effect on the flight ability of male C. pomonella adults. Compared with Li+, Na+ with a smaller stokes radius has faster de‐solvation kinetics. An electrolyte with ultralow sodium salt (0.3 M NaPF6) is used to reduce the cell cost. However, the organic‐dominated interface, mainly derived from decomposed solvents (SSIP solvation structure), is defective for the long cycling performance of sodium ion batteries. In this work, the simple application of dual additives, including sodium difluoro(oxalato)borate (NaDFOB) and tris(trimethylsilyl)borate (TMSB), is demonstrated to improve the cycling performance of the hard carbon/NaNi1/3Fe1/3Mn1/3O2 cell by constructing interface films on the anode and cathode. A significant improvement on cycling stability has been achieved by incorporating dual additives of NaDFOB and TMSB. Particularly, the capacity retention increased from 17 % (baseline) to 79 % (w/w, 2.0 wt % NaDFOB) and 83 % (w/w, 2.0 wt % NaDFOB and 1.0 wt % TMSB) after 200 cycles at room temperature. Insight into the mechanism of improved interfacial properties between electrodes and electrolyte in ultralow concentration electrolyte has been investigated through a combination of theoretical computation and experimental techniques. Influenza remains one of the most serious infectious diseases. Gallic acid is one of the most common and representative phenolic acids found in various plants. This is an interesting subject to explore how gallic acid could inhibit H1N1 influenza virus infection by reducing the production of virulent proteins and interrupting autophagy machinery for influenza virus replication on the host cell. Cellular viability was assessed by XTT assay. The inhibitory effects on the H1N1 influenza virus were assessed by hemagglutination assay, plaque assay, and qRT‐PCR. Western blot analysis was used for detecting protein levels of M1, M2, NP, LC3B, and beclin‐1. Autophagy activity was demonstrated by acridine orange staining assay. The result demonstrated that there was no cytotoxic effect of gallic acid on A549 cells, and gallic acid could restore the cellular viability of H1N1 influenza virus‐infected A549 cells within the experimental concentration treatment. Moreover, gallic acid could effectively restrain viral activity of the H1N1 influenza virus. After the treatment of gallic acid, the production of virulent H1N1 influenza virus proteins, that is, M1, M2, and NP protein were reduced. As for autophagic mechanism, both of the LC3B II conversion and the level ratio of LC3B II to LC3B I were notably decreased. The acridine orange staining assay also revealed decreased accumulation of autophagosomes in H1N1 influenza virus‐infected cells. Coloring and identification procedures for medical devices are important to reduce the risks of defective medical devices or incorrect operations and implantations. The study herein reports a novel platform of color pigment‐modified Parylene coatings to fulfill the needs of medical coatings, providing a surface modification route to alter the important property of color for an underlying material and/or device from its original color. Modification with a naphthalimide derivative is employed for the Parylene precursor. The synthesis of the final color Parylene coating is performed based on a vapor‐phase deposition polymerization process, and the coating is conformally coated on a variety of materials regardless of the shape or dimension. Furthermore, control of the color to create a series of color‐changing Parylene coatings is enabled by vapor deposition copolymerization with a second Parylene derivative source, and predictable color tuning from a primary to a secondary and/or tertiary color is achievable in the experiments and shows accordance with color theory. Summary: To play essential roles of manganese (Mn) in plant growth and development, it needs to be transported to different organs and tissues after uptake. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying Mn distribution between different tissues are poorly understood.We functionally characterized a member of rice natural resistance‐associated macrophage protein (NRAMP) family, OsNramp5 in terms of its tissue specificity of gene expression, cell‐specificity of protein localization, phenotypic analysis of leaf growth and response to Mn fluctuations.OsNramp5 is highly expressed in the leaf sheath. Immunostaining revealed that OsNramp5 is polarly localized at the proximal side of xylem parenchyma cells of the leaf sheath. Both the gene expression and protein abundance of OsNramp5 are unaffected by different Mn concentrations. Knockout of OsNramp5 decreased the distribution of Mn to the leaf sheath, but increased the distribution to the leaf blade at both low and high Mn supplies, resulting in reduced growth of leaf sheath. Furthermore, expression of OsNramp5 under the control of root‐specific promoter in osnramp5 mutant complemented Mn uptake, but could not complement Mn distribution to the leaf sheath.These results indicate that OsNramp5 expressed in the leaf sheath plays an important role in unloading Mn from the xylem for the local distribution in rice. Solid‐state electrolytes are key to achieving high energy density, safety, and stability for lithium‐ion batteries. In this Review, core indicators of solid polymer electrolytes are discussed in detail including ionic conductivity, interface compatibility, mechanical integrity, and cycling stability. Besides, we also summarize how above properties can be improved by design strategies of functional monomers, groups, and assembly of batteries. Structures and properties of polymers are investigated here to provide a basis for all‐solid‐state electrolyte design strategies of multi‐component polymers. In addition, adjustment strategies of quasi‐solid‐state polymer electrolytes such as adding functional additives and carrying out structural design are also investigated, aiming at solving problems caused by simply adding liquids or small molecular plasticizer. We hope that fresh and established researchers can achieve a general perspective of solid polymer electrolytes via this Review and spur more extensive interests for exploration of high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries. The postoccupancy performance and operation management level of green building largely determines the overall sustainability level of green buildings. It is necessary to evaluate the degree of success of green buildings in the operation stage to ensure the implementation effect of the whole life cycle. However, the current green building evaluation system is incomplete, and the research on the degree of success evaluation of green buildings is very lacking. It is necessary to establish a scientific and effective evaluation index system to evaluate the degree of success of green buildings. This article applies the extension matter‐element theory and entropy method to evaluate the degree of success of green building projects, taking a green building project in Nanchang as an example, and seven experts were invited to score and evaluate the project's degree of success by calculating the relevance degree of each evaluation index. The results show that this green building's degree of success emerged as at level II, that is, the "generally successful" level, and each first‐level indicator, respectively, lay at level III, level II, level II, and level II. The problem of adaptive dynamic output feedback fault tolerant control (FTC) for a class of nonlinear systems with unknown nonlinearities and faults is investigated, in which the nonlinearities do not need to satisfy the Lipschitz condition, so the system can represent a wider range of nonlinear system models. An adaptive dynamic output feedback FTC is designed, where the output and its derivatives are fully applied to compensate the actuator faults on systems. The designed control method can effectively offset the effect of faults on systems so as to stabilized the nonlinear system. Furthermore, based on the designed controller, the coupling term can be eliminated reasonably and less conservative stability conditions for the closed‐loop system have been obtained. The proposed control strategy pledges that the states of the closed‐loop system are uniformly ultimately bounded (UUB). Histopathology for tumor margin assessment is time‐consuming and expensive. High‐resolution full‐field optical coherence tomography (FF‐OCT) images fresh tissues rapidly at cellular resolution and potentially facilitates evaluation. Here, we define FF‐OCT features of normal and neoplastic skin lesions in fresh ex vivo tissues and assess its diagnostic accuracy for malignancies. For this, normal and neoplastic tissues were obtained from Mohs surgery, imaged using FF‐OCT, and their features were described. Two expert OCT readers conducted a blinded analysis to evaluate their diagnostic accuracies, using histopathology as the ground truth. A convolutional neural network was built to distinguish and outline normal structures and tumors. Of the 113 tissues imaged, 95 (84%) had a tumor (75 basal cell carcinomas [BCCs] and 17 squamous cell carcinomas [SCCs]). The average reader diagnostic accuracy was 88.1%, with a sensitivity of 93.7%, and a specificity of 58.3%. The artificial intelligence (AI) model achieved a diagnostic accuracy of 87.6 ± 5.9%, sensitivity of 93.2 ± 2.1%, and specificity of 81.2 ± 9.2%. A mean intersection‐over‐union of 60.3 ± 10.1% was achieved when delineating the nodular BCC from normal structures. Limitation of the study was the small sample size for all tumors, especially SCCs. However, based on our preliminary results, we envision FF‐OCT to rapidly image fresh tissues, facilitating surgical margin assessment. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a globally common cancer, and the serum carcinoembryonic antigen (sCEA) is widely applied as a diagnostic and prognostic tumor marker in CRC. This study aimed to elucidate the mechanism of CEA expression and corresponding clinical features to improve prognostic assessments. In CRC cells, hypomethylation of the CEACAM5 promoter enhanced CEA expression in HCT116 and HT29 cells with 5‐aza‐2′‐deoxycytidine (5‐Aza‐dC) treatment. Our clinical data indicated that 64.7% (101/156) of CRC patients had an sCEA level above the normal range, and 76.2% (77/101) of those patients showed a lower average CpG methylation level of the CEACAM5 promoter. The methylation analysis showed that both CRC cell lines and patient samples shared the same critical methylation CpG regions at −200 to −500 and −1000 to −1400 bp of the CEACAM5 promoter. Patients with hypermethylation of the CEACAM5 promoter showed features of a BRAF mutation, TGFB2 mutation, microsatellite instability‐high, and preference for right‐sided colorectal cancer and peritoneal seeding presentation that had a similar clinical character to the consensus molecular subtype 1 (CMS1) of colorectal cancer. Additionally, hypermethylation of the CEACAM5 promoter combined with evaluated sCEA demonstrated the worst survival among the patients. Therefore, the methylation status of the CEACAM5 promoter also served as an effective biomarker for assessing disease prognosis. Results indicated that DNA methylation is a major regulatory mechanism for CEA expression in colorectal cancer. Moreover, our data also highlighted that patients in a subgroup who escaped from inactivation by DNA methylation had distinct clinical and pathological features and the worst survival. Urinary extracellular vesicles (uEVs) are rich in valuable biomolecule information which are increasingly recognized as potential biomarkers for various diseases. uEV long RNAs are among the critical cargos capable of providing unique transcriptome information of the source cells. However, consensus regarding ideal reference genes for relative long RNAs quantification in uEVs is not available as of date. Here we explored stable reference genes through profiling the long RNA expression by RNA‐seq following unsupervised analysis and validation studies. Candidate reference genes were identified using four algorithms: NormFinder, GeNorm, BestKeeper and the Delta Ct method, followed by validation. RNA profile showed uEVs contained abundant long RNAs information and the core transcriptome was related to cellular structures, especially ribosome which functions mainly as translation, protein and RNA binding molecules. Analysis of RNA‐seq data identified RPL18A, RPL11, RPL27, RACK1, RPSA, RPL41, H1‐2, RPL4, GAPDH, RPS27A as candidate reference genes. RT‐qPCR validation revealed that RPL41, RPSA and RPL18A were reliable reference genes for long RNA quantification in uEVs from patients with diabetes mellitus (DM), diabetic nephropathy (DN), IgA nephropathy (IgAN) and prostate cancer (PCA). Interestingly, RPL41 also outperformed traditional reference genes in renal tissues of DN and IgAN, as well as in plasma EVs of several types of cancers. The transport behavior of ions in the nanopores has an important impact on the performance of the electrochemical devices. Although the classical Transmission‐Line (TL) model has long been used to describe ion transport in pores, the boundary conditions for the applicability of the TL model remain controversial. Here, we investigated the transport kinetics of different ions, within nanochannels of different lengths, by using transient single‐particle imaging with temporal resolution up to microseconds. We found that the ion transport kinetics within short nanochannels may deviate significantly from the TL model. The reason is that the ion transport under nanoconfinement is composed of multi basic stages, and the kinetics differ much under different stage domination. With the shortening of nanochannels, the electrical double layer (EDL) formation would become the "rate‐determining step" and dominate the apparent ion kinetics. Our results imply that using the TL model directly and treating the in‐pore mobility as an unchanged parameter to estimate the ion transport kinetics in short nanopores/nanochannels may lead to orders of magnitude bias. The high‐order nonlinear complex characteristics of traditional static wake model (SWM) restrict the fast optimization of wake effect. Therefore, this paper introduces a dynamic wake model (DWM) to describe the time‐varying wake characteristics of wind turbines (WTs) with low computational cost. The traditional SWM is linearized to derive the wake wind speed sensitivity coefficients, which represents the sensitivity of wake wind speed deficit with respect to the active power reference. Considering the natural propagation characteristics of wake effect, a wake delay function is added to realize the future wind speed prediction of different locations of the wind farm. And a joint control strategy of wake and active power based on model predictive control (MPC) is proposed to optimize the power contribution of each WT to minimize wake effects, and maximize total available power. Thus, the increased available power is able to satisfy the power demand from Transmission System Operator (TSO) for ancillary services and enhance power support capability. The electromagnetic (EM) detection and sensing research of human signs are becoming much more attractive, especially with the rise of intelligent metasurface which can strongly enhance the control abilities and functionalities of transmitting and receiving EM fields. It proposes the design of integrating‐type intelligent metasurface to realize the indoor positioning and posture recognition of the human body using the support vector machine algorithm and a new deep learning algorithm model it proposed called MetaNet. The integrating‐type metasurface with the in‐plane feed rather than horn excitation is real low profile, and the varactor based programmable phase shifters achieving 360‐degree cover and continuous control of phase are independently embedded in each unit cell for further synthesized manipulation of apertures. One pair of integrating‐type intelligent metasurfaces are fabricated for transmitting and receiving EM fields, respectively. Also, the corresponding prototype of radar transceiver system is developed and manufactured to rapidly acquire massive data. The total experimental flow can include two main steps that first, the transmitting and receiving beams of metasurfaces should scan dynamically and synchronously under the method of far‐field synthesis for detecting the direction of the human. Second, the transmitting beam should keep the detected direction and the receiving apertures of metasurface should be varied by randomly control the phase shift of each unit cell for multiple sensing. Based on the technology of deep learning to process the massive receiving data, the profile images and key points of various human postures can be reconstructed very well in the measurement that can verify the validity of the proposed sensing system. Calcification of the cerebral microvessels in the basal ganglia in the absence of systemic calcium and phosphate imbalance is a hallmark of primary familial brain calcification (PFBC), a rare neurodegenerative disorder. Mutation in genes encoding for sodium‐dependent phosphate transporter 2 (SLC20A2), xenotropic and polytropic retrovirus receptor 1 (XPR1), platelet‐derived growth factor B (PDGFB), platelet‐derived growth factor receptor beta (PDGFRB), myogenesis regulating glycosidase (MYORG), and junctional adhesion molecule 2 (JAM2) are known to cause PFBC. Loss‐of‐function mutations in XPR1, the only known inorganic phosphate exporter in metazoans, causing dominantly inherited PFBC was first reported in 2015 but until now no studies in the brain have addressed whether loss of one functional allele leads to pathological alterations in mice, a commonly used organism to model human diseases. Here we show that mice heterozygous for Xpr1 (Xpr1WT/lacZ) present with reduced inorganic phosphate levels in the cerebrospinal fluid and age‐ and sex‐dependent growth of vascular calcifications in the thalamus. Vascular calcifications are surrounded by vascular basement membrane and are located at arterioles in the smooth muscle layer. Similar to previously characterized PFBC mouse models, vascular calcifications in Xpr1WT/lacZ mice contain bone matrix proteins and are surrounded by reactive astrocytes and microglia. However, microglial activation is not confined to calcified vessels but shows a widespread presence. In addition to vascular calcifications, we observed vessel tortuosity and transmission electron microscopy analysis revealed microangiopathy—endothelial swelling, phenotypic alterations in vascular smooth muscle cells, and thickening of the basement membrane. A 67‐year‐old male patient presented with extensive‐stage small cell lung cancer with the primary lesion located in the right upper lung, accompanied by multiple metastases to the pleura and abdominal cavity with enlarged mediastinal lymph nodes. A combination therapy approach was used to target the patient's multiple systemic metastases after localized radiotherapy. The approach involved adoptive transfer of programmed death ligand 1 (PD‐L1) enhanced exogenous natural killer (NK) cells, along with antiangiogenic treatment. Allogeneic cord blood NK cells were infused back into the patient over two consecutive days. On the first day, the treatment was followed by a dose of 1200 mg of atezolizumab. Subsequently, the patient received a daily dose of 10 mg of anlotinib administered orally for 14 days. This was followed by a 7‐day break, and each cycle lasted 21 days. After delivering localized radiation to the primary lesion in the right lung and metastatic mediastinal lymph nodes, complete remission was achieved in the local lesion, effectively avoiding the risk of superior vena cava syndrome. Following six cycles of combined therapy, most of the metastatic lesions had disappeared, and the remaining metastatic lesions had significantly reduced in size. The recent therapeutic effect resulted in partial remission. The combination therapy of immune checkpoint inhibitor PD‐L1‐enhanced exogenous adoptive transfer NK cells, along with antiangiogenic targeted treatment, demonstrated a satisfactory short‐term effect, with disappearance of most of the metastases and noticeable shrinkage in the remaining metastatic lesions. Whistler‐mode chorus waves play an essential role in the acceleration and loss of energetic electrons in the Earth's inner magnetosphere, with the more intense waves producing the most dramatic effects. However, it is challenging to predict the amplitude of strong chorus waves due to the imbalanced nature of the data set, that is, there are many more non‐chorus data points than strong chorus waves. Thus, traditional models usually underestimate chorus wave amplitudes significantly during active times. Using an imbalanced regressive (IR) method, we develop a neural network model of lower‐band (LB) chorus waves using 7‐year observations from the EMFISIS instrument onboard Van Allen Probes. The feature selection process suggests that the auroral electrojet index alone captures most of the variations of chorus waves. The large amplitude of strong chorus waves can be predicted for the first time. Furthermore, our model shows that the equatorial LB chorus's spatiotemporal evolution is similar to the drift path of substorm‐injected electrons. We also show that the chorus waves have a peak amplitude at the equator in the source MLT near midnight, but toward noon, there is a local minimum in amplitude at the equator with two off‐equator amplitude peaks in both hemispheres, likely caused by the bifurcated drift paths of substorm injections on the dayside. The IR‐based chorus model will improve radiation belt prediction by providing chorus wave distributions, especially storm‐time strong chorus. Since data imbalance is ubiquitous and inherent in space physics and other physical systems, imbalanced regressive methods deserve more attention in space physics. Plain Language Summary: Whistler‐mode chorus waves are essential in accelerating radiation belt electrons. However, predicting the amplitude of strong chorus waves is difficult because of their imbalanced nature. In other words, there are many more observations of no‐chorus waves than strong chorus waves. A consequence is that these no‐chorus wave data dominate traditional models, so these models usually predict values that are too small for strong waves. Using an imbalanced regressive method, we developed a machine learning (ML) model of lower‐band chorus wave amplitude. For the first time, the ML‐chorus model can predict the amplitude of strong chorus waves. The ML‐chorus model shows the evolution of the chorus wave at the equator, similar to the drift path of injected electrons, which brings electron anisotropy that generates chorus waves. The ML‐chorus model shows that the chorus waves are stronger at the equator near midnight, the source region of plasma injection. Away from midnight, the chorus waves have an equatorial minimum instead. Our chorus model will improve the forecast of the radiation belt environment by providing chorus wave distributions, especially large‐amplitude strong chorus during geomagnetic storms. Solid‐state lithium metal batteries (SSLMBs) are highly desirable for energy storage because of the urgent need for higher energy density and safer batteries. However, it remains a critical challenge for stable cycling of SSLMBs at low temperature. Here, a highly viscoelastic polyether‐b‐amide (PEO‐b‐PA) based composite solid‐state electrolyte is proposed through a one‐pot melt processing without solvent to address this key process. By adjusting the molar ratio of PEO‐b‐PA to lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulphonyl)imide (ethylene oxide:Li = 6:1) and adding 20 wt.% succinonitrile, fast Li+ transport channel is conducted within the homogeneous polymer electrolyte, which enables its application at ultra‐low temperature (−20 to 25 °C). The composite solid‐state electrolyte utilizes dynamic hydrogen‐bonding domains and ion‐conducting domains to achieve a low interfacial charge transfer resistance (<600 Ω) at −20 °C and high ionic conductivity (25 °C, 3.7 × 10−4 S cm−1). As a result, the LiFePO4|Li battery based on composite electrolyte exhibits outstanding electrochemical performance with 81.5% capacity retention after 1200 cycles at −20 °C and high discharge specific capacities of 141.1 mAh g−1 with high loading (16.1 mg cm−2) at 25 °C. Background: Several studies have shown pencil beam scanning (PBS) proton therapy is a feasible and safe modality to deliver conformal and ultra‐high dose rate (UHDR) FLASH radiation therapy. However, it would be challenging and burdensome to conduct the quality assurance (QA) of the dose rate along with conventional patient‐specific QA (psQA). Purpose: To demonstrate a novel measurement‐based psQA program for UHDR PBS proton transmission FLASH radiotherapy (FLASH‐RT) using a high spatiotemporal resolution 2D strip ionization chamber array (SICA). Methods: The SICA is a newly designed open‐air strip‐segmented parallel plate ionization chamber, which is capable of measuring spot position and profile through 2 mm‐spacing‐strip electrodes at a 20 kHz sampling rate (50 μs per event) and has been characterized to exhibit excellent dose and dose rate linearity under UHDR conditions. A SICA‐based delivery log was collected for each irradiation containing the measured position, size, dwell time, and delivered MU for each planned spot. Such spot‐level information was compared with the corresponding quantities in the treatment planning system (TPS). The dose and dose rate distributions were reconstructed on patient CT using the measured SICA log and compared to the planned values in volume histograms and 3D gamma analysis. Furthermore, the 2D dose and dose rate measurements were compared with the TPS calculations of the same depth. In addition, simulations using different machine‐delivery uncertainties were performed, and QA tolerances were deduced. Results: A transmission proton plan of 250 MeV for a lung lesion was planned and measured in a dedicated ProBeam research beamline (Varian Medical System) with a nozzle beam current between 100 to 215 nA. The worst gamma passing rates for dose and dose rate of the 2D SICA measurements (four fields) compared to TPS prediction (3%/3 mm criterion) were 96.6% and 98.8%, respectively, whereas the SICA‐log reconstructed 3D dose distribution achieved a gamma passing rate of 99.1% (2%/2 mm criterion) compared to TPS. The deviations between SICA measured log, and TPS were within 0.3 ms for spot dwell time with a mean difference of 0.069 ± 0.11 s, within 0.2 mm for spot position with a mean difference of −0.016 ± 0.03 mm in the x‐direction, and −0.036 ± 0.059 mm in the y‐direction, and within 3% for delivered spot MUs. Volume histogram metric of dose (D95) and dose rate (V40Gy/s) showed minimal differences, within less than 1%. Conclusions: This work is the first to describe and validate an all‐in‐one measurement‐based psQA framework that can fulfill the goals of validating the dose rate accuracy in addition to dosimetric accuracy for proton PBS transmission FLASH‐RT. Background: The potential reduction of normal tissue toxicities during FLASH radiotherapy (FLASH‐RT) has inspired many efforts to investigate its underlying mechanism and to translate it into the clinic. Such investigations require experimental platforms of FLASH‐RT capabilities. Purpose: To commission and characterize a 250 MeV proton research beamline with a saturated nozzle monitor ionization chamber for proton FLASH‐RT small animal experiments. Methods: A 2D strip ionization chamber array (SICA) with high spatiotemporal resolution was used to measure spot dwell times under various beam currents and to quantify dose rates for various field sizes. An Advanced Markus chamber and a Faraday cup were irradiated with spot‐scanned uniform fields and nozzle currents from 50 to 215 nA to investigate dose scaling relations. The SICA detector was set up upstream to establish a correlation between SICA signal and delivered dose at isocenter to serve as an in vivo dosimeter and monitor the delivered dose rate. Two off‐the‐shelf brass blocks were used as apertures to shape the dose laterally. Dose profiles in 2D were measured with an amorphous silicon detector array at a low current of 2 nA and validated with Gafchromic films EBT‐XD at high currents of up to 215 nA. Results: Spot dwell times become asymptotically constant as a function of the requested beam current at the nozzle of greater than 30 nA due to the saturation of monitor ionization chamber (MIC). With a saturated nozzle MIC, the delivered dose is always greater than the planned dose, but the desired dose can be achieved by scaling the MU of the field. The delivered doses exhibit excellent linearity with R2>0.99${R^2} > 0.99$ with respect to MU, beam current, and the product of MU and beam current. If the total number of spots is less than 100 at a nozzle current of 215 nA, a field‐averaged dose rate greater than 40 Gy/s can be achieved. The SICA‐based in vivo dosimetry system achieved excellent estimates of the delivered dose with an average (maximum) deviation of 0.02 Gy (0.05 Gy) over a range of delivered doses from 3 to 44 Gy. Using brass aperture blocks reduced the 80%‐20% penumbra by 64% from 7.55 to 2.75 mm. The 2D dose profiles measured by the Phoenix detector at 2 nA and the EBT‐XD film at 215 nA showed great agreement, with a gamma passing rate of 95.99% using 1 mm/2% criterion. Conclusion: A 250 MeV proton research beamline was successfully commissioned and characterized. Challenges due to the saturated monitor ionization chamber were mitigated by scaling MU and using an in vivo dosimetry system. A simple aperture system was designed and validated to provide sharp dose fall‐off for small animal experiments. This experience can serve as a foundation for other centers interested in implementing FLASH radiotherapy preclinical research, especially those equipped with a similar saturated MIC. Summary: In this paper, the problem of fault estimation based on intermediate variable‐based adaptive observer for a class of nonlinear systems with Lipschitzian nonlinearities and faults is studied. An adaptive observer based on lower triangular matrix transformation is proposed, which comprise the output derivatives information so as to enhance the accuracy and speed of fault estimation effectually. The designed observer can be simplified to the lower triangular estimation observer, and is superior to the comprehensive estimation observer in the related literature. In addition, a more general error dynamics is derived based on the improved adaptive estimation observer, which makes it less conservative to obtain stability conditions. The uniformly ultimately bounded stability conditions of the estimated error dynamics are given by linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Simultaneous targeting of tumor vasculature and inhibitors of tumor cell glycolysis may be a promising antitumor strategy. Here, we reported the total synthesis and biological evaluation of A‐ring arylurea flavonoid derivatives with B‐ring trimethoxy group, which exhibited potent antitumor activity against a variety of tumor cells in vitro. Most of the derivatives showed in vitro antitumor activity on HepG‐2, HGC‐27, MDA‐MB‐231, and A549 cells. Among them, compounds 8e, 8f, 8g, 8h, 8j, and 8l also exhibited significant anti‐proliferation effects on liver tumor cell subtypes BEL‐7402 and SMMC‐7721. Compound 8l had the lowest IC50 value (5.61 ± 0.39 μM) on HepG‐2 cells, and showed the effects of inhibiting colony formation, arresting the cell cycle in G0/G1 phase, and inducing apoptosis in a concentration‐dependent manner. In addition, the toxicity of compound 8l on human normal cells LO2 and GES‐1 was lower than that of sorafenib. The inhibitory effects of compound 8l on the expression of glycolytic rate‐limiting enzymes HKII, PFK‐1, PKM2 and vascular endothelial growth factor were further evaluated. Corresponding reduction in intracellular lactate was also detected after compound 8 treatment. Background: In Taiwan, the National Health Insurance Administration initiated the integrated home‐based medical care (iHBMC) program in 2016 to improve accessibility to health care for homebound patients. This study aimed to describe the characteristics of older people receiving iHBMC services in Taiwan as well as the relationship between patient characteristics and survival. Methods: All older adults registered in the iHBMC application dataset were enrolled between March 1, 2016, and December 31, 2018. Data on social determinants of health (income level, residential area), functional status, consciousness status, nasogastric tube or urinary catheter placement, and major diseases were retrieved from the database. Data on the frequency of multidisciplinary team members' visits were collected. The survival rate was investigated using the Kaplan–Meier method. A Cox proportional hazards univariate regression was conducted to analyze factors influencing survival rates. Results: A total of 41,079 patients aged ≥65 years were enrolled in iHBMC services. The results showed that the one‐year survival rates were 72.1%, 67.4%, and 14.7% in the home‐based primary care (HBPC), home‐based primary care plus (HBPC‐Plus), and home‐based palliative care (HBPalC), respectively. Nearly two‐thirds of the HBPC‐Plus patients underwent nasogastric tube placement. The Cox proportional hazards univariate regression analysis showed that a low urbanization level, a low income level, a low functional status, and an impaired consciousness status were significant predictors of poor survival after adjustment for confounding variables. Conclusions: Older adults receiving iHBMC services had a high mortality rate. The high rate of feeding tube use indicated that education and support for both clinical practitioners and family caregivers regarding careful hand feeding are warranted. Precipitation into the Earth's atmosphere due to pitch angle scattering by plasma waves has been recognized as one of the major loss mechanisms for energetic electrons. In this study, we quantitatively evaluate their roles in precipitating electrons during a conjunction event with modulated electron precipitation observed at low altitudes by Electron Loss and Fields INvestigation and three types of whistler mode waves (hiss, plume hiss, and chorus) measured near the equator by Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms. Electron precipitation was observed from ∼50 keV to <1 MeV with a spatial modulation, suggested by a good correlation between L shell‐sorted precipitation fluxes and wave intensities. A quasi‐linear analysis supports the observed energy range of precipitation and the ratio of precipitating‐to‐trapped flux. Our findings reveal that the modulated energetic electron precipitation is driven by hiss, plume hiss, and chorus waves. Plain Language Summary: Energetic electrons precipitated from the inner magnetosphere into the upper atmosphere can form diffuse and discrete aurora and modulate the ionospheric conductance. One of the major drivers of electron precipitation is wave‐particle interaction with whistler mode waves. In this study, we use the Electron Loss and Fields INvestigation CubeSats to measure electron precipitation at low altitudes and the Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms to provide wave and plasma measurements near the magnetic equator in the conjugate locations. We find that the electron precipitation rate is highly correlated to the whistler mode wave intensity near the equator. Through a quasi‐linear analysis, we demonstrate that the modulation of electron precipitation is driven by whistler mode hiss, plume hiss, and chorus waves that occur in an extensive region of the Earth's magnetosphere. In this study, we investigated the influence of stereoscopic depth on visual fatigue based on subjective and EEG measurement. 19 channels of EEG data of 17 subjects before and after watching 3D movie with different depth ranges were recorded, and the power of δ, θ, α, β, power spectral parameters (gravity frequency, power spectral entropy) were calculated and analyzed. This paper proposes a distributed coordinated control (DCC) method. The DCC method concentrates on improving the performances of fatigue load minimization and voltage regulation of WFs. The active and reactive power outputs of the wind turbines (WTs) inside WFs are coordinated while the power flow of WF collection system and capacity of each WT are considered by using DistFlow model. With the consensus ADMM‐based framework, the WTs inside the WF are operated in fully distributed manner while meeting the requirement of the dispatch command of the transmission system operator (TSO). The WF can track the dispatch command from the TSO accurately without the coordination of central unit. Moreover, it is more scalable and lower computation‐burden than conventional centralized optimal control. A novel resistance internal is proposed to optimize the flow field and improve the gas–liquid contact in a co‐hydrogenation reactor of coal and vacuum residuum. Local gas holdup, local liquid velocity, and characteristics of the bubble were investigated in a scaled‐down laboratory model. The quantitative results showed that the resistance internals could reduce the thickness of the liquid reflux layer by a percentage up to 32% and reduce the difference in the local gas holdup at cross‐sections of up to 44%. The Sauter mean diameter of the bubble decreased from 20.30 to 16.00 mm, which aroused the increase in bubble surface area by a percentage of up to 71.9%. The resistance internal promoted the breakup of the bubble with multiple mechanisms and provided diversion to fluid. Purpose: Invasive micropapillary carcinoma (IMPC) is one of the rare subtypes of breast cancer. This study aimed to explore a predictive nomogram model for IMPC prognosis. Methods: A total of 1855 IMPC patients diagnosed after surgery between 2004 and 2014 were identified from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER) database to build and validate nomogram. A nomogram was created based on univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analysis. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to demonstrate the accuracy of the prognostic model. Decision curve analysis (DCA) was performed to evaluate the safety of the model in the range of clinical applications, while calibration curves were used to validate the prediction consistency. Results: Cox regression analysis indicated that age ≥62 at diagnosis, negative ER status, and tumor stage were considered adverse independent factors for overall survival (OS), while patients who were married, white or of other races, received chemotherapy or radiotherapy, had a better postoperative prognosis. The nomogram accurately predicted OS with high internal and external validation consistency index (C index) (0.756 and 0.742, respectively). The areas under the ROC curve (AUCs) of the training group were 0.787, 0.774 and 0.764 for 3, 5 and 10 years, respectively, while those of the validation group were 0.756, 0.766 and 0.762, respectively. The results of both DCA and calibration curves demonstrated the good performance of the model. Conclusions: A nomogram for IMPC of the breast patients after surgery was developed to estimate 3, 5 and 10 years—OS based on independent risk factors. Purpose: The function of stanniocalcin‐1 (STC‐1) in the oncogenesis and progression of tumors has been extensively studied. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between secreted STC‐1 and prognosis in patients with breast cancer (BC) and to determine whether STC‐1 could be a key prognostic factor in BC. Methods: The STC‐1 level was measured by ELISA and clinical data from 1210 female patients with BC were used to develop and validate nomograms. We then verified the models through the plotting of ROC curves and calibration curves, calculating the C‐index, and performing decision curve analyses (DCA). Results: The level of STC‐1 in the peripheral plasma was significantly correlated with the T stage, N stage, clinical stage, grade, hormone receptors, HER‐2 status, and tumor subtype. Cox regression analyses revealed that estrogen receptor(ER) status, N stage, and STC‐1 level were risk factors for overall survival (OS), whereas T stage, N stage, and STC‐1 level were independent prognostic factors for distant disease‐free survival (DDFS) and disease‐free survival (DFS). Both the ROC curve and the C‐index confirmed the high resolution of these models, while the DCA identified the feasibility of their practical application. In addition, the calibration curves indicated good consistency between the predicted and actual survival rates. Conclusion: Nomograms were created based on STC‐1 levels for 3‐, 5‐, and 7‐year OS, DDFS, and DFS of patients with BC respectively. An increasing number of studies have found that long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA) play important roles in driving the progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Our microarray screening revealed that expression of the lncRNA long intergenic non‐protein coding RNA 173 (LINC00173) was upregulated in NPC. However, its role and mechanism in NPC have not yet been elucidated. In this study, we demonstrate that high LINC00173 expression indicated a poor prognosis in NPC patients. Knockdown of LINC00173 significantly inhibited NPC cell proliferation, migration and invasion in vitro. Mechanistically, LINC00173 interacted and colocalized with Ras‐related protein Rab‐1B (RAB1B) in the cytoplasm, but the modulation of LINC00173 expression did not affect the expression of RAB1B at either the mRNA or protein levels. Instead, relying on the stimulation of RAB1B, LINC00173 could facilitate the extracellular secretion of proliferation‐associated 2G4 (PA2G4) and stromal cell‐derived factor 4 (SDF4; also known as 45‐kDa calcium‐binding protein) proteins, and knockdown of these proteins could reverse the NPC aggressive phenotype induced by LINC00173 overexpression. Moreover, in vivo LINC00173‐knockdown models exhibited a marked slowdown in tumor growth and a significant reduction in lymph node and lung metastases. In summary, LINC00173 serves as a crucial driver for NPC progression, and the LINC00173–RAB1B–PA2G4/SDF4 axis might provide a potential therapeutic target for NPC patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

There are a large number of cameras in modern transportation system that capture numerous vehicle images continuously. Therefore, automatic analysis of these vehicle images is helpful for traffic flow management, criminal investigations and vehicle inspections. Vehicle matching, which aims to determine whether two input images depict an identical vehicle, is one of the core tasks in vehicle analysis. Recent relevant studies have focused on local feature extraction instead of global extraction, since local details can provide crucial cues to distinguish between cars. However, these methods do not select local features; that is, they do not assign weights to local features. Therefore, in this research, we systematically study the vehicle matching task, and present a novel annotation‐free local‐based deep learning method called Adaptive super‐pixel discriminative feature‐selective learning (ASDFL) to address this issue. In ASDFL, vehicle images are segmented into clusters of super‐pixels of similar size by considering the location and colour similarities of pixels without using any component‐level annotation. These super‐pixels are deemed to be the virtual components of vehicles. Moreover, a convolutional neural network is used to extract the deep features of these virtual components. Thereafter, an instance‐specific mask generation module driven by the extracted global features is enhanced to produce a mask to select the most distinctive virtual components of each vehicle image pair in the feature space. Finally, the vehicle matching task is accomplished by classifying the selected virtual component features of each imaged vehicle pair. Extensive experiments on two popular vehicle identification benchmarks demonstrate that our method is 1.57% and 0.8% more accurate than the previous baselines in a vehicle matching task on the VeRi and VehicleID datasets, respectively, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our method. Organic solar cells (OSCs) have drawn lots of attention because of their rapid development and great potential in large‐area flexible electronics. Recently, volatile solid additives have been widely used in optimizing morphologies of active layers and improving device performances for nonfullerene (NF)‐based OSCs. Most solid additives, however, still suffer severe problems such as unsuitable volatile temperatures and requirement of extra solvent additives. Herein, a new solid additive 2,7‐dibromo‐9,9‐dimethylfluorene (DBDMF) with a high crystallinity and suitable volatile temperature as an additive for NF‐based OSCs is designed. DBDMF can suppress the overaggregation of the nonfullerene acceptors (NFAs) and improve the material rearrangements after thermal annealing because of the good miscibility with the NFAs. As a result, DBDMF‐treated OSC devices display more favorable film morphologies and phase separation, well‐balanced charge mobilities, higher electron transfer rates, and better device stability. Consequently, the PM6:BTP‐BO‐4F binary system shows an outstanding power conversion efficiency of 17.2% from 15.3% with a simultaneous increase in the fill factor from 71.4 to 77.1%. Furthermore, DBDMF has been applied to other two active layers, manifesting the general applicability.
