Though the key technology for 5G communication is the massive Multiple input and multiple output (MIMO), it has a major drawback when the user generated inference signals are to be handled by several other users. When these interference signals are used in various users, issues concerning system ability, power management issues and QoS related issues arises with the involvement of MIMO channel. Though internet of things (IoT) making use of MIMO is still under development, the requirements of the IoT is quite different when compared to several other connections. Thus, taking into account the demands, the solutions were framed with the help of the proposed system. One such solution is the Partition Square and Cross‐Processing method that can possess several antennas at the given destination. Based on this solution obtained the data rate can be drastically increased correspondingly reducing the power consumed thus producing the most desirable result with high signal to noise ratio (SNR). Best victory is another such solution that solves the issues relating to power reduction thereby providing the best solution with minimum SNR. These solutions produced by the proposed system still has some disadvantages with respect to the following case: when the number of destination antennas is less than the number of source antennas. This case is considered as most common in the model proposed. For the above‐mentioned case, near optimal solution is produced by both the algorithms. In this article, the transmitters are represented by the source antenna and the receiver is represented by the destination antenna. Objective: To compare effectiveness of spontaneous ovulation monitored by urinary luteinising hormone (LH) versus induced ovulation by administration of human chorionic gonadotrophin (hCG) in couples undergoing gonadotrophin-stimulated intrauterine insemination (IUI).Design: Randomised controlled trial.Setting: University-level infertility unit.Population: Couples with unexplained infertility, mild endometriosis, mild male factor infertility and polycystic ovarian syndrome.Methods: Couples were randomised to an LH group (Group A), in which urinary LH was measured daily to detect spontaneous ovulation, or an hCG group (Group B), in which urinary hCG was administered as a trigger.Main Outcome Measures: Clinical pregnancy rate. Secondary outcomes - ongoing pregnancy, live birth, multiple pregnancy and miscarriage rates.Results: A total of 392 couples were randomised with 196 in each arm. The clinical pregnancy rate per woman randomised was 14/196 (7.1%) in the LH arm versus 15/196 (7.6%) in the hCG arm (P = 0.847, which was not statistically significant). Similarly, the ongoing pregnancy rates [13/196 (6.6%) versus 14/196 (7.1%); P = 0.84] and the live birth rates [13/196 (6.6%) versus 14/196 (7.1%); P = 0.84] between the two groups did not show any significant difference. The pathogenicity and diagnostic methods were standardized for Ganoderma disease of coconut. The pathogenicity of Ganoderma lucidum isolated from coconut was tested using six types of inoculation techniques. Two diagnostic methods, viz. indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) and polymerase chain reactions (PCR) were applied for the confirmation of pathogenicity in coconut seedlings. Polyclonal antibodies (PAbs) were raised against mycelial, basidiocarp and specific proteins of Ganoderma and used for detection of Ganoderma in inoculated seedlings through indirect ELISA technique. All the three PAbs could detect Ganoderma in diseased coconut root tissues in early stage of the disease before symptom expression by indirect – ELISA at the antiserum dilution of 1 : 1000 for mycelial protein, 1 : 700 for Ganoderma specific protein and 1 : 3000 for basidiocarp protein. Low cross-reactions were observed with saprophytic fungi occurring in coconut roots and also with other basidiomycetous fungi. In PCR, primers Gan1 and Gan2 generated from internal transcribed spacer region of rDNA were used the detection that produced a product of 167-bp size in Ganoderma infected plants. In the present investigation, spawn inoculum responded earlier within 8 weeks compared with other methods of inoculation as expressed by OD value in ELISA test. This was also confirmed by PCR technique. The combination of these two diagnostic methods for detection of Ganoderma infection was highly reliable, rapid and sensitive. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effect of the number of water washing cycles on the proximate composition, physicochemical and functional properties of proteins from threadfin bream meat was studied. Contents of proteins, fat, ash and non-protein nitrogen showed a significant ( P < 0.05) decrease with the number of washing cycles. The removal of low molecular weight components and increase in the concentration of high molecular weight components was confirmed by gel filtration profile and sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The water absorption, fat absorption and emulsion capacity parameters showed a positive correlation with the number of washing cycles. The gel-forming ability showed a marked improvement with the number of washing cycles. The dynamic viscoelastic behaviour of unwashed and washed meat showed a structure build-up reaction and was more pronounced in once washed meat. The flow behaviour of total protein solution from unwashed and washed meat showed a pseudoplastic behaviour. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

BSTRACT: Homogenate of washed shark meat in water was converted into a gel by lowering its pH to 3.5 by acetic acid. Unlike unacidified homogenate, water was strongly bound to the gel. The strength of the gel increased with increasing moisture content, while expressible water content was not affected. Gelation was associated with reduction in myosin heavy chain and sulfhydryl groups. Dynamic rheological measurements indicated viscoelastic nature of the gel. The storage modulus increased with increased temperature. The shear stress sweep of the gel dispersions as a function of temperature suggested pseudoplastic behavior. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose The SEA‐DRSS refer mainly to AUH‐DRS. To better monitor outcomes, a database of referrals was created aimed to establish a network between SEA‐DRSS &AUH‐DRS to share &correlate data. 1. To assess referrals from SEA‐DRSS to AUH‐DRS &once assessed to monitor outcomes. 2. Are NICE referral guidelines being met &to predict impact on AUH‐DRS. Methods Prospective data of referrals &review of 50 patients in database from July–September 2009. All referral data recorded &at hospital assessment: visual acuities, ocular &systemic co‐morbidity, BP, HBA1c, grading according to DRS & EDTRS, outcomes for treatment &follow‐up. Results Data were collected for 46 patients with 3(6%) non‐attendance. Male:female=1.2: 1 DMType1:Type2=1:8 Mean age 26yrs DM Type1; 64yrs for DM Type2. 9.6w between referral &assessment. Meeting NICE guidelines &DR progression due to delay will be discussed. Correlation of VA &grading data between SEA‐DRSS &AUH‐DRS will be compared by statistical analysis taking contributing factors for DR like BP &HBA1c into account. Laser required by 16% with treatment &frequency will be discussed. Of 16(32%) referred for cataracts 50% were listed for surgery. 92% required follow‐up &we plan to elaborate on the impact on AUH‐DRS. Conclusion Increased demand is generated by referrals. Though few required laser, there is significant follow‐up required. Efficient &accurate DRSS‐referrals need to be matched in assessment by excellent hospital‐DRS with capacity to provide laser/surgical treatments &follow‐up. The properties of total sarcoplasmic proteins from oil sardine (Sardinella longiceps) have been assessed. Ammonium sulfate fractionation of total sarcoplasmic proteins yielded 5 different fractions. The UV-absorption spectra of all 5 sarcoplasmic proteins fraction showed a peak in the wavelength range of 275 to 280 nm indicating aromatic amino acid residues in its composition. The SDS-PAGE of different fractions showed components in the molecular weight range of 97 to 29 kD. The thermal stability in the temperature range of 40° to 80° C of different fractions were varied in nature. The flow profile of different fractions indicated pseudo-plastic behavior and minimum structural impairment for fraction V at 30 and 40° C, respectively. The gelation profile of washed sardine meat in combination with different sarcoplasmic proteins fraction revealed fraction V could enhance the storage modulus values during heating regime. Perturbed metabolism of ammonia, an endogenous cytotoxin, causes mitochondrial dysfunction, reduced NAD + /NADH (redox) ratio, and postmitotic senescence. Sirtuins are NAD + -dependent deacetylases that delay senescence. In multiomics analyses, NAD metabolism and sirtuin pathways are enriched during hyperammonemia. Consistently, NAD + -dependent Sirtuin3 (Sirt3) expression and deacetylase activity were decreased, and protein acetylation was increased in human and murine skeletal muscle/myotubes. Global acetylomics and subcellular fractions from myotubes showed hyperammonemia-induced hyperacetylation of cellular signaling and mitochondrial proteins. We dissected the mechanisms and consequences of hyperammonemia-induced NAD metabolism by complementary genetic and chemical approaches. Hyperammonemia inhibited electron transport chain components, specifically complex I that oxidizes NADH to NAD + , that resulted in lower redox ratio. Ammonia also caused mitochondrial oxidative dysfunction, lower mitochondrial NAD + -sensor Sirt3, protein hyperacetylation, and postmitotic senescence. Mitochondrial-targeted Lactobacillus brevis NADH oxidase (MitoLbNOX), but not NAD+ precursor nicotinamide riboside, reversed ammonia-induced oxidative dysfunction, electron transport chain supercomplex disassembly, lower ATP and NAD + content, protein hyperacetylation, Sirt3 dysfunction and postmitotic senescence in myotubes. Even though Sirt3 overexpression reversed ammonia-induced hyperacetylation, lower redox status or mitochondrial oxidative dysfunction were not reversed. These data show that acetylation is a consequence of, but is not the mechanism of, lower redox status or oxidative dysfunction during hyperammonemia. Targeting NADH oxidation is a potential approach to reverse and potentially prevent ammonia-induced postmitotic senescence in skeletal muscle. Since dysregulated ammonia metabolism occurs with aging, and NAD + biosynthesis is reduced in sarcopenia, our studies provide a biochemical basis for cellular senescence and have relevance in multiple tissues., (© 2023 The Authors. The molecular title compound, [MnCl(2)(C(5)H(5)N)(2)(H(2)O)(2)], lies about an inversion centre. The Mn(II) atom is in an all-trans octa-hedral environment defined by two water mol-ecules, two chloride anions and two pyridine ligands. An inter-molecular hydrogen-bonding inter-action between a water mol-ecule and a chloride anion bonded to an adjacent Mn(II) atom generates an eight-membered ring. The crystal packing exhibits two inter-molecular π-π stacking inter-actions between the aromatic rings, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.485 (12) and 3.532 (12) Å.

In the crystal structure of the title compound, C(16)H(13)BrO, the two benzene rings are twisted from each other with a dihedral angle of 52.55 (9)°.
