Abstract

The article presents the case of a 56-year-old man who was referred for radiofrequency catheter ablation of paroxysmal drug-resistant atrial fibrillation. The patient has undergone ablation with electrophysiologic ostial isolation of the four pulmonary veins (PVs). The patient has developed severe dyspnea and hypotension, a few minutes after the end of the procedure. The transesophageal echocardiography has showed severe stenosis of three PVs.
