Aneuploidy frequently occurs in cancer and developmental diseases such as Down syndrome, with its functional consequences implicated in dosage effects on gene expression and global perturbation of stress response and cell proliferation pathways. However, how aneuploidy affects spatial genome organization remains less understood. In this study, we addressed this question by utilizing the previously established isogenic wild‐type (WT) and trisomic mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs). We employed a combination of Hi‐C, RNA‐seq, chromosome painting and nascent RNA imaging technologies to compare the spatial genome structures and gene transcription among these cells. We found that trisomy has little effect on spatial genome organization at the level of A/B compartment or topologically associating domain (TAD). Inter‐chromosomal interactions are associated with chromosome regions with high gene density, active histone modifications and high transcription levels, which are confirmed by imaging. Imaging also revealed contracted chromosome volume and weakened transcriptional activity for trisomic chromosomes, suggesting potential implications for the transcriptional output of these chromosomes. Conducting electrochemical organic synthesis in/on whole water media is undoubtedly a highly green approach, which avoids the usage of organic solvents, and sometimes organic supporting electrolytes. In this review, the electrochemical organic syntheses in/on whole water environment are reviewed, especially including the reactions conducted both in organic solvent and water for comparisons. This review discussed anodic and cathodic reaction, respectively, including the C−H oxidation, hydroxylation, dehydrogenative cross coupling, functionalization of alkenes, cathodic oxidation, hydrogenation, reductive cross coupling, and so on. As the reduction of CO2, conversion biomass, and waste water disposal are frequently performed in water, and have already been reviewed recently. These topics are not included in this review. Colorectal cancer (CRC) is related to gut microbiota dysbiosis, especially butyrate‐producing bacteria reduction. Our previous study suggested that administration of Clostridium butyricum, a butyrate‐producing bacterium, exerts a crucial effect against CRC, however the potential mechanism is not clear. We first found that methyltransferase‐like 3 (METTL3) showed a positive correlation with proliferation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT), DNA repair, metastasis, and invasion in a database analysis. The expression of METTL3 gradually increased from human normal colon tissue, to adenoma, and carcinoma, and was positively correlated with E‐cadherin and CD34 levels. Overexpression of METTL3 promoted the proliferation, migration, and invasion of CRC cells and induced vasculogenic mimicry (VM) formation. Clostridium butyricum could downregulate METTL3 expression in CRC cells and decrease the expression of vimentin and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 to reduce EMT and VM formation. Clostridium butyricum alleviated the pro‐oncogenic effect of METTL3 overexpressing plasmid in CRC cells. The anti‐EMT effect on METTL3 reduction of C. butyricum could be blunted by knocking down G‐protein coupled receptor 43. Moreover, C. butyricum prevented EMT and VM and inhibited tumor metastasis in nude mice. Accordingly, C. butyricum could inhibit EMT and VM formation of intestinal carcinogenesis through downregulating METTL3. Ta3N5 is a promising material for photocatalytic hydrogen production from water because of its suitable band structure for both solar energy collection and overall water splitting, while its application is restricted by severe charge recombination as well as non‐equilibrium redox capabilities. Herein, atomic‐scale N‐doped NaTaO3@Ta3N5 (NNaTaO3@Ta3N5) core‐shell cubes prepared by nitridation of cubic NaTaO3 are reported. The core‐shell heterojunction cubes present efficient and stoichiometric evolution of H2 and O2 from photocatalytic overall water splitting, with a quantum efficiency of 2.18% at 550 nm without any cocatalyst. The success relies on the Ta3N5 shell having a thickness of only ≈5 nm which enables increased lifetimes of the photogenerated charges. Moreover, the core‐shell heterojunction shows a type‐I band alignment that can steer smooth charge flow from NNaTaO3 to Ta3N5, particularly with the assistance of the shared communal Ta atoms at the interface. This efficiency can be further improved to 6.28% by in situ deposition of a Rh@Cr2O3 core‐shell cocatalyst, which is among the highest reported values over Ta3N5‐based photocatalyst. This study offers a promising pathway for the construction of well‐defined heterojunctions with manipulated charge transfer behavior for photocatalytic overall water splitting. People in different social statuses have different perceptions due to differences in cognition. Combined with the characteristics of public behaviour and cognition, this study examined the impact of the widespread cognitive biases in social status on performance perception. This study used the ordinary least squares model to verify that the cognitive bias in social status has a significant positive impact on the perception of social governance performance. At the same time, a moderated mediation model was constructed to verify that social trust plays a partial mediating role in the influence mechanism of cognitive bias in social status on the perception of social governance performance. The use of the Internet significantly inhibited the influence of cognitive bias in social status on the perception of social governance performance. Although it also weakened the influence of cognitive bias in social status on social trust, the moderating effect on the mediating effect is not obvious. This study verifies and analyses the internal relationship and mechanism of social status cognition deviation and perception of social governance performance from multidisciplinary dimensions, which enriches the social cognition theory of social status, and expands the research on the perception of social governance performance. Alloying noble metal catalysts with early transition metals (ETMs) has shown great promise by simultaneously boosting catalytic activity and durability because of their strong electronic interactions. However, the very negative reduction potential of ETMs has posed great challenges for the synthesis of the desired alloy catalysts, not to mention the structure‐controlled synthesis. Here an autocatalytic surface reduction‐assisted strategy is reported to realize the controllable synthesis of ultrathin PtW alloy nanowires (NWs). The experimental evidence and density functional theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate that the preformed Pt NWs in the synthesis serve as the catalyst to facilitate the reduction of Wx+ species through the autocatalytic surface reduction mechanism. Using the alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) as a model reaction, the as‐synthesized PtW NWs/C catalyst shows an ultralow overpotential of 18 mV at 10 mA cm–2 and a high mass activity of 6.13 A mg–1Pt at an overpotential of 100 mV, ranking it among the most active catalysts. The dual roles of alloyed W atoms are further uncovered by theoretical simulations, involving the ensemble effect for accelerating H2O dissociation and a ligand effect for optimizing the hydrogen adsorption strength. Characterized by long‐range atomic ordering, well‐defined stoichiometry, and controlled crystal structure, intermetallics have attracted increasing attention in the area of chemical synthesis and catalytic applications. Liquid‐phase synthesis of intermetallics has arisen as the promising methodology due to its precise control over size, shape, and resistance toward sintering compared with the traditional metallurgy. This short review tends to provide perspectives on the liquid‐phase synthesis of intermetallics in terms of both thermodynamics and methodology, as well as its applications in various catalytic reactions. Specifically, basic thermodynamics and kinetics in the synthesis of intermetallics will be first discussed, followed by discussing the main factors that will affect the formation of intermetallics during synthesis. The application of intermetallics in electrocatalysis will be demonstrated case by case at last. We conclude the review with perspectives on the future developments with respect to both synthesis and catalytic applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

We report an ultrafast synthesis of wavy gold‐silver (AuAg) nanowires with tunable diameters via a seed‐mediated co‐reduction. The success of current strategy relies on the use of an elevated reaction temperature to accelerate the synthesis to be completed within several minutes and the use of Au seeds with controlled sizes to enable the manipulation over their diameters in the range of 2–10 nm. The presence of chloride‐contained quaternary ammonium surfactant and excessive reductant have been demonstrated to be critical for the high‐yield formation of AuAg products with the unique morphology of wavy nanowire. Due to the advantage in size control, the size effect on the plasmonic behavior of AuAg alloy wavy nanowires is investigated, where the products with sub‐5 nm diameter exhibit a broad shoulder absorbance peak in their spectrum. Electrocatalytic energy conversion is one of the most promising pathways to develop clean and renewable energy technologies, and the development of high‐performance electrocatalysts to improve the energy conversion efficiency is of paramount importance. Metal nanocrystals with twin defects possess unique features, including lattice strain and high density of low‐coordinated atoms at the twin boundary, endowing them with excellent catalytic performance in various electrocatalytic reactions. Herein, we briefly summarize recent advances in the synthesis of metal nanocrystals with various twin structures, recent breakthroughs related to electrocatalytic applications of twin metal nanocrystals are also overviewed.
