A customized metamaterial tailored for a specific functionality holds significant appeal in practical applications, yet its alteration after the structure is established can be challenging. A novel design for Fibonacci‐array inspired acoustic metamaterials is introduced, which are constructed using metamaterial bricks with unique physical mechanisms. This design aims to achieve multifunctional low‐frequency sound absorption. The Fibonacci sequence arrangement flexibly modulates the coupling between metamaterial bricks, thereby improving energy‐dissipating efficiency. Additionally, the strategic alignment enhances the wave‐absorbing properties of the metamaterial, allowing it to demonstrate remarkable absorption effects across targeted frequency bands. By controlling the resonance effect of metamaterial bricks in intensive and sparse modes, the proposed design exhibited frequency‐selective performance, resulting in three absorption peaks at 323, 687, and 1113 Hz, respectively, across low‐ to high‐frequency ranges. Furthermore, the broadband absorption performance, characterized by strong coupling strength, enables continuous sound absorption over a low‐frequency band from 290 to 440 Hz. This is supported by theoretical analysis, numerical simulations, and experimental results, showcasing the flexible modulation of the propagation characteristics of sound waves. Overall, this functionally actuated design dramatically enhances the tunability of the metamaterials and offers a promising avenue for multifunctional application in noise‐control engineering. The poor interfacial compatibility between sodium superionic conductor (NASICON) electrolyte and metallic sodium anode will lead to severe dendrite penetration, impeding the application of NASICON electrolytes for solid state sodium batteries. Herein, a homogeneous SnS2 coating layer is sputtered on the surface of Na3.4Zn0.1Zr1.9Si2.2P0.8O12 electrolyte to in situ construct a kinetically stable Na─Sn alloy/Na2S interlayer, possessing superior Na affinity, low diffusion barrier, and electronic insulating character to suppress dendrite growth, which is confirmed by experiments and density‐functional theory calculations. Benefiting from the Na─Sn alloy/Na2S interphase, the critical current density of Na3.4Zn0.1Zr1.9Si2.2P0.8O12 increases from 2.4 to 9.4 mA cm−2. In addition, the obtained Na3V2(PO4)3/Na3.4Zn0.1Zr1.9Si2.2P0.8O12@SnS2/Na solid state batteries exhibit a high initial reversible discharge capacity of 115.1 mAh g−1 at 0.1 °C with an initial Coulombic efficiency of 93.6%, and a capacity retention rate of 88.1% after 1000 cycles at 1 C. Simultaneous high strength and high toughness are highly sought‐after in lattice metamaterials, but these properties are typically mutually exclusive. To overcome this challenge, the development of interpenetrating phase composite (IPC), which incorporates a net matrix infill into the lattice, has shown great potential in overcoming these constraints and is thus of continuous practical interest. In this work, a novel aperiodic monotile truss lattice and polymer IPC that exhibit unprecedented enhancement in both strength and toughness are reported. Specifically, the aperiodic unit cell is inspired by Einstein's monotile, a single space‐filling shape where the cell orientation never repeats. The IPCs are achieved through 3D‐printed Ti‐6Al‐4V truss lattices and epoxy infiltration. The highest gain in compressive strength reveals an impressive 246.61% increase, significantly exceeding the “1 + 1 > 2” idealization typically associated with strength in IPC metamaterials. Furthermore, a high specific energy absorption of 46.2 J g−1 demonstrates superior toughness. The underlying mechanisms, including damage sequences, two‐phase interactions, and geometric effects between truss and epoxy, are fully elucidated. Overall, this work reports unprecedented enhancement in IPC's properties and demonstrates the potential of utilizing idealized structures to achieve an optimal combination of strength and toughness in mechanical metamaterials. Lithium (Li) metal batteries (LMBs) are deemed as ones of the most promising energy storage devices for next electrification applications. However, the uneven Li electroplating process caused by the diffusion‐limited Li+ transportation at the Li metal surface inherently promotes the formation of dendritic morphology and instable Li interphase, while the sluggish Li+ transfer kinetic can also cause lithiation‐induced stress on the cathode materials suffering from serious structural stability. Herein, a novel electrolyte designing strategy is proposed to accelerate the Li+ transfer by introducing a trace of large organic polar molecules of lithium phytate (LP) without significantly altering the electrolyte structure. The LP molecules can afford a competitive solvent attraction mechanism against the solvated Li+, enhancing both the bulk and interfacial Li+ transfer kinetic, and creating better anode/cathode interfaces to suppress the side reactions, resulting in much improved cycling efficiency of LMBs. Using LP‐based electrolyte, the performance of LMB pouch cell with a practical capacity of ~1.5 Ah can be improved greatly. BACKGROUND: Intestinal development and function are critical to maintaining sustained broiler growth. The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of coated sodium butyrate (CSB) and vitamin D3 (VD3) on the intestinal immunity, barrier, oxidative stress and microflora in early‐stage broilers. In total, 192 one‐day‐old broilers were assigned to a 2 × 2 factorial design including two dietary supplements at two different levels, in which the main effects were VD3 (3000 or 5000 IU kg−1) and CSB (0 or 1 g kg−1). RESULTS: The results showed that CSB supplementation increased ileal goblet cells (GCs) numbers, villus height and decreased crypt depth in broilers. CSB increased ileal proliferating cell nuclear antigen expression and high‐level VD3 decreased cluster of differentiation 3 expression. CSB reduced serum d‐lactate, endotoxin (ET), adrenocorticotropic hormone, corticosterone and malondialdehyde (MDA) concentrations and increased total antioxidant capacity (T‐AOC) level. Meanwhile, high‐level VD3 decreased serum ET concentration. Furthermore, CSB increased ileal T‐AOC, lysozyme (LYZ) and transforming growth factor (TGF)‐β and decreased MDA, whereas high‐level VD3 decreased ileal MDA and increased secretory immunoglobulin A. CSB up‐regulated ileal claudin1, superoxide dismutase 1, TGF‐β and LYZ mRNA expression and down‐regulated interleukin‐1β mRNA expression. CSB combined with high‐level VD3 increased ileal Faecalibaculum abundance. Spearman correlation analysis showed that Faecalibaculum was related to the immune and barrier function. CONCLUSION: Dietary supplementation with CSB and high‐level VD3 improved early gut health in broilers by promoting intestinal development, enhancing antioxidant capacity, strengthening barrier function and enhancing the favorable composition of the gut bacterial flora. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. The reduction of noises, achieved through absorption, is of paramount importance to the well‐being of both humans and machines. Lattice structures, defined as architectured porous solids arranged in repeating patterns, are emerging as advanced sound‐absorbing materials. Their immense design freedom allows for customizable pore morphology and interconnectivity, enabling the design of specific absorption properties. Thus far, the sound absorption performance of various types of lattice structures are studied and they demonstrated favorable properties compared to conventional materials. Herein, this review gives a thorough overview on the current research status, and characterizations for lattice structures in terms of acoustics is proposed. Till date, there are four main sound absorption mechanisms associated with lattice structures. Despite their complexity, lattice structures can be accurately modelled using acoustical impedance models that focus on critical acoustical geometries. Four defining features: morphology, relative density, cell size, and number of cells, have significant influences on the acoustical geometries and hence sound wave dissipation within the lattice. Drawing upon their structural‐property relationships, a classification of lattice structures into three distinct types in terms of acoustics is proposed. Background: Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA)‐based minimal residual disease (MRD) detection, which can identify disease relapse ahead of radiological imaging, has shown promising performance. The objective of this study was to develop and validate OriMIRACLE S (Minimal Residual Circulating Nucleic Acid Longitudinal Detection in Solid Tumor), a highly sensitive and specific tumor‐informed assay for MRD detection. Methods: Tumor‐specific somatic single nucleotide variants (SNVs) were identified via whole exome sequencing of tumor tissue and matched germline DNA. Clonal SNVs were selected using the OriSelector algorithm for patient‐specific, multiplex PCR‐based NGS assays in MRD detection. Plasma‐free DNA from patients with gastrointestinal tumors prior to and following an operation, and during monitoring, were ultradeep sequenced. Results: The detection of three positive sites was sufficient to achieve nearly 100% overall sample level sensitivity and specificity and was determined by calculating binomial probability based on customized panels containing 21 to 30 variants. A total of 127 patients with gastrointestinal tumors were enrolled in our study. Preoperatively, MRD was positive in 18 of 26 patients (69.23%). Following surgery, MRD was positive in 24 of 82 patients (29.27%). The positivity rate for MRD was 33.33% (n = 18) for gastric adenocarcinoma and 32.26% (n = 62) for colorectal cancer. Twenty (20) of 59 patients (34.48%) experienced a change in MRD status over the monitoring period. Patients 8 and 31 responded to 3 cycles of systemic therapy, after which levels for all ctDNA dropped below the detection limit. Patient 53 was an example of using MRD to predict tumor metastasis. Patient 55 showed a weak response to treatments first and respond to new systemic therapy after tumor progression. Conclusion: Our study identified a sensitive and specific clinical detection method for low frequency ctDNA, and explored the detection performance of this technology in gastrointestinal tumors. Severe lithium (Li) dendrite growth caused by the uneven overpotential deposition is a formidable challenge for high energy density Li metal batteries (LMBs). Herein, we investigate a synergetic interfacial kinetic to regulate Li deposition behavior and stabilize Li metal anode. Through constructing Li alloying matrix with a bi‐functional silver (Ag)‐Li3N blended interface, fast Li+ conductivity and high Li affinity can be achieved simultaneously, resulting in both decreased Li nucleation and mass transfer‐controlled overpotentials. Beyond these properties, a more important feature is demonstrated herein; that is, the inward diffusion depth of the Li adatoms inside of the Ag site can be restricted by the Li+ solvation structure in a highly coordinating environment. The latter feature can ensure the durability of the operational Ag sites, thereby elongating the Li protection ability of the Ag‐Li3N interface greatly. Rechargeable FeS2 battery has been regarded as a promising energy storage device, due to its potentially high energy density and ultralow cost. However, the short lifespan associated with the shuttle effect of polysulfides, large volume change, agglomeration of Fe0 nanoparticles, narrow operating temperature range, and sluggish reaction kinetics, greatly impede the application of rechargeable FeS2 lithium‐ion batteries. Herein, an all‐solid‐state battery (ASSB) coupling commercialized FeS2 is proposed with a novel superionic conductor Li6.8Si0.8As0.2S5I (LASI‐80Si) to overcome these challenges. The shuttle effect of polysulfides and volume change of FeS2 are suppressed or completely eliminated in ASSB, due to solid‐solid conversion of Li2S/S and large stacking pressure, respectively. Furthermore, the operating temperature range (−60–60 °C) is significantly expanded by the ultra‐high and temperature‐insensitive ionic conductivity of LASI‐80Si (Ea = 0.20 eV), along with the superior FeS2/LASI‐80Si interface stability. Thanks to the extra Li+ provided by Li2S and LiI functional phases, the "bridge" effect of LiI on facile interfacial Li‐ion conduction, and the enhanced reaction kinetics of LASI‐80Si (σLi+=${\sigma _{L{i^ + }}} = $ 10.4 mS cm−1), ASSBs with LASI‐80Si deliver long cycle life (244 cycles at 0.1 C and 600 cycles at 1 C), superior rate capability (20 C), high areal mass loading (13.37 mg cm−2), and ultrahigh areal capacity (9.05 mAh cm−2). Aims: Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and non‐alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) are related conditions with an increasing incidence. The mechanism of their relationship remains undefined. Here, we aimed to explore the potential mechanisms, diagnostic markers, and therapeutic options for HFpEF and NAFLD. Methods and results: HFpEF and NAFLD datasets were downloaded from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Common differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were screened for functional annotation. A protein–protein interaction network was constructed based on the STRING database, and hub genes were analysed using GeneMANIA annotation. ImmuCellAI (Immune Cell Abundance Identifier) was employed for analysis of immune infiltration. We also used validation datasets to validate the expression levels of hub genes and the correlation of immune cells. To screen for diagnostic biomarkers, we employed the least absolute shrinkage and selection operator and support vector machine‐recursive feature elimination. Drug signature database was used to predict potential therapeutic drugs. Our analyses identified a total of 33 DEGs. Inflammation and immune infiltration played important roles in the development of both diseases. The data showed a close relationship between chemokine signalling pathway, cytokine–cytokine receptor interaction, calcium signalling pathway, neuroactive ligand–receptor interaction, osteoclast differentiation, and cyclic guanosine monophosphate‐protein kinase G signalling pathway. We demonstrated that PRF1 (perforin 1) and IL2RB (interleukin‐2 receptor subunit beta) proteins were perturbed by the diseases and may be the hub genes. The analysis showed that miR‐375 may be a potential diagnostic marker for both diseases. Our drug prediction analysis showed that bosentan, eldecalcitol, ramipril, and probucol could be potential therapeutic options for the diseases. Conclusions: Our findings revealed common pathogenesis, diagnostic markers, and therapeutic agents for HFpEF and NAFLD. There is need for further experimental studies to validate our findings. Owing to the omnipresent noise and crash hazards, multifunctional sound‐absorbing, and deformation‐tolerant materials are highly sought‐after for practical engineering design. However, challenges lie with designing such a material. Herein, leveraging the inherent mechanical robustness of the biological cuttlebone, by introducing dissipative pores, a high‐strength microlattice is presented which is also sound‐absorbing. Its absorption bandwidth and deformation tolerance are further enhanced by introducing another level of bioinspiration, based on geometrical heterogeneities amongst the building cells. A high‐fidelity microstructure‐based model is developed to predict and optimize properties. Across a broad range of frequencies from 1000 to 6300 Hz, at a low thickness of 21 mm, the optimized microlattice displays a high experimentally measured average absorption coefficient of 0.735 with 68% of the points higher than 0.7. The absorption mechanism attributes to the resonating air frictional loss whilst its broadband characteristics attribute to the multiple resonance modes working in tandem. The heterogeneous architecture also enables the microlattice to deform with a deformation‐tolerant plateau behavior not observed in its uniform counterpart, which thereby leads to a 30% improvement in the specific energy absorption. Challenges from high‐energy‐density storage applications have boosted the pursuit of designing high‐rate and low‐temperature lithium (Li) metal batteries (LMBs). Formulating high‐concentration electrolytes (HCEs) with a high transference number (t+) is an alternative solution to satisfy these demands. However, the implementation of HCEs is impeded by their lower ionic conductivity, higher viscosity, poorer wettability, and higher melting point, which are harmful to the practical applications. Herein, an anionic coordination manipulation strategy is proposed to break the constraints presented by HCEs. By manipulating the anionic species with different coordinating abilities, a high t+ up to 0.9 can be achieved even in the low‐concentration electrolytes of 1 mol L−1. By further forming a multilayer solvation structure in the anion manipulated electrolyte using non‐polar diluents, high Li Coulombic efficiency superior to 99% can be maintained under a high current density of 3 mA cm−2, and much‐improved performance is also demonstrated in high‐loading Li metal pouch cells. Furthermore, when applying multilayer solvated structure in electrolyte engineering, Li metal anodes at subzero temperature and LMBs at 0 °C also exhibit impressive cycling stability. Microbial consortia constitute a promising tool for achieving high‐value chemical bio‐production. However, customizing the consortium ratio remains challenging. Herein, an asymmetry distribution‐based synthetic consortium (ADSC) was developed to switch cell phenotypes using shikimate synthesis for proof of concept. First, the cell pole‐organizing protein PopZ was screened as a mediator of asymmetric protein distribution in Escherichia coli. The ADSC was then constructed to incorporate PopZ‐mediated asymmetry distribution and a TetR‐based transcription repression switch to achieve the dynamical control of microbial population ratio. Finally, the ADSC was used to decouple cell growth from shikimate synthesis by effectively coordinating the ratio of growing cells and production cells at the consortium level, thereby increasing shikimate titer to 30.1 g/L in the 7.5‐L bioreactor with a minimal medium. This titer was further improved to 82.5 g/L when using rich medium fermentation. Our results illustrate a novel approach to control consortium structure through ADSC‐mediated regulation, highlighting its potential as an efficient strategy for controlling metabolic state in microbes. Transitional metal (TM) π‐diborene complexes have similar structures to those side‐on‐bound TM‐π‐olefin complexes, while their luminescence behaviors are distinctly different. In this work, the natures of the π(BB)⋯TM bonds in π‐diborene(1)⋯MCl (M = Cu, Ag, and Au) and π‐diborene(2)⋯M′Cl2 (M′ = Zn, Cd, and Hg) have been investigated and compared based on EDA, AIM, ELF, NCI, NBO, and ETS‐NOCV analysis as well as their UV/Vis spectra have been predicted. The calculated results show that the π(BB)⋯M/M′ bonds are strong covalent bonds, the orbital interactions in π(BB)⋯M′ (M′ = Zn, Cd, and Hg) are more dominant than those in π(BB)···M (M = Cu, Ag, and Au) bonds. The π(BB)⋯M/M′ interactions belong to the Dewar–Chatt–Duncanson model, the back donations of the M′Cl2 in π‐diborene(2)⋯M′Cl2 are less than those of MCl in π‐diborene(1)⋯MCl. Both π‐diborene(1)⋯MCl and π‐diborene(2)⋯M′Cl2 can produce blue luminescence, the luminescence intensity of former complexes are stronger than the latter complexes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nickel phosphide (Ni2P) has emerged as a promising candidate to substitute Pt‐based catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) due to the hydrogenase‐like catalytic mechanism and concomitantly low cost. However, its catalytic activity is still not comparable to that of noble‐metal‐based catalysts, and innovative strategies are still urgently needed to further improve its performance. Herein, a self‐supported N‐doped Ni2P on Ni foam (N−Ni2P/NF) was rationally designed and fabricated through a facile NH4H2PO2‐assisted gas‐solid reaction process. As an HER catalyst in alkaline medium, the obtained N−Ni2P/NF revealed excellent electrocatalytic performance with a distinctly low overpotential of 50 mV at 10 mA cm−2, a small Tafel slope of 45 mV dec−1, and long‐term stability for 25 h. In addition, the spectroscopic characterizations and density functional theory calculations confirmed that the incorporation of N regulated the original electronic structure of Ni2P, enhanced its intrinsic catalytic property, optimized the Gibbs free energy of reaction intermediates, and ultimately promoted the HER process. This work provides an atomic‐level insight into the electronic structure modulation of metal phosphides and opens an avenue for developing advanced transition metal phosphides‐based catalysts. Designing metal oxide hosts with multiple lithophilic sites has emerged as a promising strategy to stabilize lithium (Li) metal anode for Li metal batteries (LMBs). Through lowering Li nucleation overpotentials, metal‐oxide‐derived lithiophilic frameworks can guide uniform Li deposition. However, lithiophilic sites suffer from failure upon cycling due to the structural collapse, limiting their durability for practical applications. Herein, a heterointerfacing strategy is reported to stabilize the alloy‐type lithiophilic sites of zinc. Nondurable zinc oxide is closely jointed with durable cobalt oxide, forming a unique bimetallic oxide heterointerface that possesses both favorable Li affinity and high structural integrity. The roles of individual components and the interface are both investigated. The heterostructured framework serves as a buffer layer at the anode/electrolyte interface, enabling stable regulation of Li plating and stripping. The as‐modified Li metal anode achieves high coulombic efficiency and long‐term stability in practical LMBs. The yield of Tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum Gaertn) is significantly affected by continuous cropping. This study aimed to clarify the effects of continuous cropping on the growth and yield formation of Tartary buckwheat. Tartary buckwheat cultivar Jinqiao was used as the experimental material to study the effects of different continuous cropping years on the rhizosphere soil, root morphology and physiology, senescence, and yield of Tartary buckwheat. Available nutrients, number of actinomycetes, soil enzyme activities, and contents of total chlorophyll and soluble protein in the leaves of Tartary buckwheat continuously decreased with an increase in continuous cropping years. However, the pH and number of fungi showed a continuous increasing trend. The number of bacteria in rhizosphere soil, root morphological indexes and root activity, and oxidase activity of the leaves initially increased and then decreased. Compared with that of the control, the yield of Tartary buckwheat significantly reduced by 6.36, 24.85, 78.62, and 83.10% with 1, 2, 3, and 4 yr of continuous cropping, respectively. Therefore, continuous cropping reduces the yield of Tartary buckwheat by destroying the microenvironment system of rhizosphere soil, inhibiting the growth and development of the root and shoot systems, and accelerating senescence. In order to improve the photocatalytic performance of BiFeO3, we prepared BiFeO3 nanoparticles doped with different molar concentrations of Y by thermal decomposition of MOFs precursor. The samples were characterized by XRD, TG, FESEM, XPS, UV‐vis, and PL. The results of XRD and XPS reveal that Y3+ have been successfully incorporated into BiFeO3 lattice. FESEM and UV‐vis results reveal that Y doping leads to a decrease in BiFeO3 particle size and band gap. PL shows that the recombination rate of photogenerated electron hole pairs of Bi0.95Y0.05FeO3 is the lowest. The influences of Y doping content on photocatalytic activity of BiFeO3 have been investigated. The results show that the best photocatalytic activity is Bi0.95Y0.05FeO3. Compared with pure BiFeO3, Bi0.95Y0.05FeO3 increased the degradation rate of MO by 1.3 times in 120 min. Metal phosphorous trichalcogenides (MPX3) are novel 2D nanomaterials that have recently been exploited as efficient photothermal–chemodynamic agents for cancer therapy. As a representative MPX3, FePSe3 has the potential to be developed as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and photoacoustic imaging (PAI) agents due to the composition of Fe and the previously revealed PA signal. Here, a FePSe3‐based theranostic agent, FePSe3@APP@CCM, loaded with anti‐PD‐1 peptide (APP) as the inner component and CT26 cancer cell membrane (CCM) as the outer shell is reported, which acts as a multifunctional agent for MR and PA imaging and photothermal and immunotherapy against cancer. FePSe3@APP@CCM induces highly efficient tumor ablation and suppresses tumor growth by photothermal therapy under near‐infrared laser excitation, which further activates immune responses. Moreover, APP blocks the PD‐1/PD‐L1 pathway to activate cytotoxic T cells, causing strong anticancer immunity. The combined therapy significantly prolongs the lifespan of experimental mice. The multimodal imaging and synergistic therapeutic effects of PTT and its triggered immune responses and APP‐related immunotherapy are clearly demonstrated by in vitro and in vivo experiments. Scene graph generation is to recognise objects and their semantic relationships in an image and can help computers understand visual scene. To improve relationship prediction, geometry information is essential and usually incorporated into relationship features. Existing methods use coordinates of objects to encode their spatial layout. However, in this way, they neglect the context of objects. In this study, to take full use of spatial knowledge efficiently, the authors propose a novel subgraph and object context‐masked network (SOCNet) consisting of spatial mask relation inference (SMRI) and hierarchical message passing (HMP) modules to address the scene graph generation task. In particular, to take advantage of spatial knowledge, SMRI masks partial context of object features depending on their spatial layout of objects and corresponding subgraph to facilitate their relationship recognition. To refine the features of objects and subgraphs, they also propose HMP that passes highly correlated messages from both microcosmic and macroscopic aspects through a triple‐path structure including subgraph–subgraph, object–object, and subgraph–object paths. Finally, statistical co‐occurrence probability is used to regularise relationship prediction. SOCNet integrates HMP and SMRI into a unified network, and comprehensive experiments on visual relationship detection and visual genome datasets indicate that SOCNet outperforms several state‐of‐the‐art methods on two common tasks. Utilization of lithium (Li) metal anode in solid‐state batteries (SSBs) with sulfide solid‐state electrolyte (SSE) is hindered by the instable Li/SSE interface. A general solution to solve this problem is to place an expensive indium (In) foil between the SSE and Li, while it decreases the output voltage and thus the energy density of the battery. In this work, an alternative strategy is demonstrated to boost the cycling performances of SSB by wrapping a graphene oxide (GO) layer on the anode. According to density functional theory results, initial deposition of a thin Li layer on the defective GO sheets leads to the formation of a dipole structure, due to the electron‐withdrawing ability of GO acting on Li. By incorporating GO sheets in a nanocomposite of copper‐cuprous oxide‐GO (Cu‐Cu2O‐GO, CCG), a composite Li anode enables a high coulombic efficiency above 99.5% over 120 cycles for an SSB using Li10GeP2S12 SSE and LiCoO2 cathode, and the sulfide SSE is not chemically decomposed after cycling. The highest occupied molecule orbital/lowest unoccupied molecular orbital energy gap of this Li/GO dipole structure likely stretches over those of Li and sulfide SSE, enabling stabilized Li/SSE interface that can replace the expensive In layer as Li protective structure in SSBs. To enable next‐generation high‐power, high‐energy‐density lithium (Li) metal batteries (LMBs), an electrolyte possessing both high Li Coulombic efficiency (CE) at a high rate and good anodic stability on cathodes is critical. Acetonitrile (AN) is a well‐known organic solvent for high anodic stability and high ionic conductivity, yet its application in LMBs is limited due to its poor compatibility with Li metal anodes even at high salt concentration conditions. Here, a highly concentrated AN‐based electrolyte is developed with a vinylene carbonate (VC) additive to suppress Li+ depletion at high current densities. Addition of VC to the AN‐based electrolyte leads to the formation of a polycarbonate‐based solid electrolyte interphase, which minimizes Li corrosion and leads to a very high Li CE of up to 99.2% at a current density of 0.2 mA cm‐2. Using such an electrolyte, fast charging of Li||NMC333 cells is realized at a high current density of 3.6 mA cm‐2, and stable cycling of Li||NMC622 cells with a high cathode loading of 4 mAh cm‐2 is also demonstrated. In routine practice, one lung ventilation (OLV) is initiated upon pleural opening. We conducted a randomized controlled trial to compare lung collapse after preemptive OLV versus conventional OLV in thoracoscopic surgery. A total of 67 patients were enrolled (34 with conventional OLV; 33 with preemptive OLV). Preemptive OLV was conducted by closing the DLT lumen to the non‐ventilated lung immediately upon assuming the lateral position with the distal port closed to the atmosphere until pleural opening (>6 minutes in all cases). Lung collapse was assessed at 1, 5, 10, 20, 30 and 40 minutes after pleural opening using a 10‐point rating scale (10: complete collapse). The primary end point was the duration from pleural opening to satisfactory lung collapse (score of 8). Secondary end points included PaO2 and hypoxemia. The duration from pleural opening to satisfactory lung collapse was shorter in the preemptive OLV group (9.1 ± 1.2 vs. 14.1 ± 4.7 minutes, P < 0.01). PaO2 was comparable between the two groups prior to anesthetic induction (T0), and 20 (T2), 40 minutes (T3) after pleural incision, but was lower in the preemptive OLV group at zero minutes after pleural incision (T1) (457.5 ± 19.0 vs. 483.1 ± 18.1 mmHg, P < 0.01). Sulphur dioxide and soot produced during coal combustion are the main air pollution sources and increased emission of PM2.5 (particle matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than or equal to 2.5 µm) in China. In this investigation, two imidazolium ionic liquids (ILs), namely, 1‐butyl‐3‐methyl imidazolium bisulphate ([C4C1im][HSO4]) and 1‐carboxymethyl‐3‐methylimidazolium bisulphate([HOOCCH2mim][HSO4]), were used to remove sulphur from coal combined with 30 % hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) based on chemically oxidative desulphurization. The experimental results indicate that H2O2 played a dominant role in removing inorganic sulphur but only partially decreased organic sulphur. The [C4C1im][HSO4]‐H2O2 solution is able to remove 47.44 % of the total sulphur in coal and nearly 100 % of the inorganic sulphur while the [HOOCCH2mim][HSO4]‐H2O2 solution can remove 16.76 % of organic sulphur with a weaker ability to reduce inorganic components. According to the FTIR spectra analysis, the results show that the proportion of –SH, –CH3, –CH2–, and‐OH declined, while −COOH increased after the IL‐H2O2 treatment due to the oxidation enhancement in the presence of ionic liquids. Sulphur element compositions were measured using XPS, and the results also show that ionic liquids are favourable for improving the oxidation of –SH, –S–, and thiophene into sulphoxide and sulphone, which were extracted during the ionic liquid phase. Textile and dye effluents have strong color, unstable pH and COD, a lot of inorganic salt, and high biotoxicity. It is difficult and inefficient to remove dyes from high‐saline wastewater by traditional methods. In this study, a simple synthetic CuO/CeO2 photocatalyst is used to achieve high efficiency photodegradation of methylene blue in high salt wastewater. The p‐type CuO/n‐type CeO2 heterojunction photocatalyst is synthesized by a modified hydrothermal‐calcination method. The XRD and XPS reveal the successful synthesis of CuO/CeO2 composite. The SEM and TEM images show that the sample consists of large amounts of well‐dispersed CuO nanosphere loading on the CeO2 layers. DRS exhibits the absorption band (about 510 nm) and the band gap energy (2.43 eV) of the CuO/CeO2 composite. Compared with pure CuO, CeO2, and TiO2 (P25), the prepared CuO/CeO2 can increase the mineralization rate of MB by 18.19%~33.74%. More than 80% of MB can be effectively removed in the wastewater containing 5~80 g/L NaCl with a wide pH value range of 2.11~9.02, and the degradation processes follow the pseudofirst‐order reaction kinetics. Active species trapping experiments confirm that the degradation of methylene blue is mainly attributed to hydroxyl radical; besides, O2▪− and hole (h+) also play important roles. Chlorine ions have dual effects in photocatalytic reactions. Abstract: A nonconjugated, alcohol‐soluble zwitterionic polymer, poly(sulfobetaine methacrylate) (denoted by PSBMA), is employed as cathode interfacial layer (CIL) in polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on PTB7‐Th:PC71BM. Compared with the control device without CIL, PSCs with PSBMA CILs show significant enhancement on the resulting performance, and the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 8.27% is achieved. Under parallel conditions, PSCs with PSBMA as CIL show comparable performance than those with widely used poly[(9,9‐bis(30‐(N,N‐dimethylamino)propyl)‐2,7‐fluorene)‐alt‐2,7‐(9,9‐ioctylfluorene)] as CIL. The polar groups of PSBMA not only provide a solvent orthogonal solubility in the process of preparation of the devices but also lead to interfacial dipole to the electrode, which promises a better energy level alignment. In addition, PSBMA‐based devices show better abilities of hole blocking. These results indicate that the zwitterionic polymer PSBMA should be a promising CIL in PSC‐based narrow‐bandgap polymers. Python-based simulations of chemistry framework (P ySCF) is a general-purpose electronic structure platform designed from the ground up to emphasize code simplicity, so as to facilitate new method development and enable flexible computational workflows. The package provides a wide range of tools to support simulations of finite-size systems, extended systems with periodic boundary conditions, low-dimensional periodic systems, and custom Hamiltonians, using mean-field and post-mean-field methods with standard Gaussian basis functions. To ensure ease of extensibility, P ySCF uses the Python language to implement almost all of its features, while computationally critical paths are implemented with heavily optimized C routines. Using this combined Python/C implementation, the package is as efficient as the best existing C or Fortran-based quantum chemistry programs. The reversibility and stability of zinc (Zn) metal anode are closely related to inner Helmholtz plane (IHP) chemistry. The H2O‐rich IHP raises severe parasitic reactions and irregular Zn deposition, impeding the practical utility of Zn anode in aqueous Zn‐ion batteries (AZIBs). In this study, tetrahydropyran (THP), a five‐carbon heterocyclic ether with permanent dipole moment and hydrophobic characteristic, is introduced as a self‐adsorptive additive to reshape the IHP. It squeezes out partial H2O molecules and forms a H2O‐lean IHP, benefitting for alleviating active H2O decomposition and improving the stability of Zn anode. Moreover, the adsorbed THP induces the preferential nucleation of Zn (002) plane, facilitating dendrite‐free growth and improving the reversibility of Zn anode. Consequently, the Zn||Zn symmetric cell enables to cycle over 3600 h at 5 mA cm−2@ 1 mAh cm−2. The Zn||Cu half‐cell can stably cycle over 400 cycles with 99.9% coulombic efficiency even under harsh test conditions (10 mA cm−2@5 mAh cm−2) with 30 µm Zn foil. The Zn||NH4V4O10 full cell maintains 92.6% capacity retention after 800 cycles at 1 A g−1 and the Zn||I2 full cell enables to perform steadily over 10000 cycles with a capacity decay rate of merely 0.003% per cycle at 5 C. BiFeO3 (BFO) is considered to be a potential visible light photocatalytic material for organic degradation due to its narrow band gap. In this work, the BFO with smaller band gap and better photocatalytic performance was prepared by thermal decomposition of we prepared smaller band gap and better photocatalytic performance BFO by thermal decomposition of MOFs precursor Bi[Fe (CN)6]·5H2O. Among them, BFO‐0.5 has the best photocatalytic activity, which the photocatalytic degradation rate of methyl orange (MO) aqueous solution is 98.1% within 60 minutes. The photocatalytic activity is almost unchanged after four cycles of use. The enhanced photocatalytic activity of BFO could be attributed to the enhanced optical absorption and smaller particles. Lithium (Li) metal is a key anode material for constructing next generation high energy density batteries. However, dendritic Li deposition and unstable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layers still prevent practical application of Li metal anodes. In this work, it is demonstrated that an uniform Li coating can be achieved in a lithium fluoride (LiF) decorated layered structure of stacked graphene (SG), leading to the formation of an SEI‐functionalized membrane that retards electron transfer by three orders of magnitude to avoid undesirable Li deposition on the top surface, and ameliorates Li+ ion migration to enable uniform and dendrite‐free Li deposition beneath such an interlayer. Surface chemistry analysis and density functional theory calculations demonstrate that these beneficial features arise from the formation of C–Fx surface components on the SG sheets during the Li coating process. Based on such an SEI‐functionalized membrane, stable cycling at high current densities up to 3 mA cm−2 and Li plating capacities up to 4 mAh cm−2 can be realized in LiPF6/carbonate electrolytes. This work elucidates the promising strategy of modifying Li plating behavior through the SEI‐functionalized carbon structure, with significantly improved cycling stability of rechargeable Li metal anodes.
