Objectives: To investigate whether a labially inclined implant axis compromises the clinical outcomes of immediate implant placement and provisionalization (IIPP) in the anterior maxilla. Materials and Methods: Patients with unsalvageable central or lateral maxillary incisors were enrolled. IIPP with simultaneous connective tissue graft (CTG) was performed in all participants. In the control group, the alveolar ridge had a long axis aligned with the tooth, which ensured that the immediate implant was aimed at the incisor edge or the cingulum of future restoration. The test group had a large angle between the axes of the ridge and tooth. To avoid bone fenestration, the implants were placed labially inclined and emerged from the labial side of future restoration. Intra‐oral scanning and cone‐beam computed tomography were performed to record soft and hard tissue profiles at baseline and 1 year later. Soft tissue stability, bone remodeling, and pink esthetic score (PES) were evaluated and compared between two groups. Results: Thirty‐nine participants (19 tests and 20 controls) completed the study. At 1‐year post‐surgery, the mid‐facial gingival margin migrations were 0.85 ± 0.37 mm (test) and 0.81 ± 0.33 mm (control), without significant differences. No differences were identified in buccal profile alteration, linear ridge reduction, buccal bone thickness, or PES scores. The test group demonstrated thinner buccal soft tissue at the crestal level than the control group. Conclusions: When large tooth‐ridge angulation presented, labially inclined implant, avoiding buccal ridge fenestration in IIPP with CTG, did not compromise the clinical outcome in short term. The unique non‐coding RNA molecule known as circular RNA (circRNA) is distinguished from conventional linear RNA by having a longer half‐life, greater degree of conservation and inherent solidity. Extensive research has demonstrated the profound impact of circRNA expression on cellular drug sensitivity and therapeutic efficacy. There is an immediate need for the creation of efficient computational techniques to anticipate the potential correlations between circRNA and drug sensitivity, as classical biological research approaches are time‐consuming and costly. In this work, we introduce a novel deep learning model called SNMGCDA, which aims to forecast the relationships between circRNA and drug sensitivity. SNMGCDA incorporates a diverse range of similarity networks, enabling the derivation of feature vectors for circRNAs and drugs using three distinct calculation methods. First, we utilize a sparse autoencoder for the extraction of drug characteristics. Subsequently, the application of non‐negative matrix factorization (NMF) enables the identification of relationships between circRNAs and drugs based on their shared features. Additionally, the multi‐head graph attention network is employed to capture the characteristics of circRNAs. After acquiring the characteristics from these three separate components, we combine them to form a unified and inclusive feature vector for each cluster of circRNA and drug. Finally, the relevant feature vectors and labels are inputted into a multilayer perceptron (MLP) to make predictions. The outcomes of the experiment, obtained through 5‐fold cross‐validation (5‐fold CV) and 10‐fold cross‐validation (10‐fold CV), demonstrate SNMGCDA outperforms five other state‐of‐art methods in terms of performance. Additionally, the majority of case studies have predominantly confirmed newly discovered correlations by SNMGCDA, thereby emphasizing its reliability in predicting potential relationships between circRNAs and drugs. Long non‐coding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs) are two typical types of non‐coding RNAs that interact and play important regulatory roles in many animal organisms. Exploring the unknown interactions between lncRNAs and miRNAs contributes to a better understanding of their functional involvement. Currently, studying the interactions between lncRNAs and miRNAs heavily relies on laborious biological experiments. Therefore, it is necessary to design a computational method for predicting lncRNA–miRNA interactions. In this work, we propose a method called MPGK‐LMI, which utilizes a graph attention network (GAT) to predict lncRNA–miRNA interactions in animals. First, we construct a meta‐path similarity matrix based on known lncRNA–miRNA interaction information. Then, we use GAT to aggregate the constructed meta‐path similarity matrix and the computed Gaussian kernel similarity matrix to update the feature matrix with neighbourhood information. Finally, a scoring module is used for prediction. By comparing with three state‐of‐the‐art algorithms, MPGK‐LMI achieves the best results in terms of performance, with AUC value of 0.9077, AUPR of 0.9327, ACC of 0.9080, F1‐score of 0.9143 and precision of 0.8739. These results validate the effectiveness and reliability of MPGK‐LMI. Additionally, we conduct detailed case studies to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of our approach in practical applications. Through these empirical results, we gain deeper insights into the functional roles and mechanisms of lncRNA–miRNA interactions, providing significant breakthroughs and advancements in this field of research. Purpose: This prospective case series aimed to investigate the effect of vertical alveoloplasty on the changes in keratinized mucosa width (KMW) following full‐arch immediate implant placement and rehabilitation. Materials and Methods: A total of 17 potential edentulous patients were enrolled and received implant placement and full‐arch implant‐supported immediate rehabilitations. The main outcome was to analyze the effect of vertical alveoloplasty on the changes in KMW. The amount of vertical alveoloplasty during implant surgery as well as the changes in KMW at buccal aspects from the day of surgery to 6 months post‐surgery were recorded on the implant‐level using a periodontal probe. The secondary outcome was to analyze the other possible factors that affected the changes in KMW. The included factors were the initial KMW, the distribution of implants in the maxilla and mandible, the distribution of implants in the anterior and posterior regions, the distribution of implants in extraction sockets and healed ridges, and gender. Mann‐Whitney non‐parametric tests and multiple linear regression adjusted by generalized estimating equations (GEE) were used to statistically analyze the data. Results: A total of 121 implant positions were analyzed. The KMW was 4.1± 2.0 mm on the day of the surgery and 4.1± 1.7 mm 6 months post‐surgery. The mean changes in KMW following 6 months were −0.1± 1.6 mm (p = 0.824). From the results of GEE, the vertical amount of alveoloplasty had no significant effect on changes in KMW. Both initial KMW and the distribution of implants in the anterior and posterior regions had significant impacts on the changes in KMW (p < 0.0001). Conclusion: The amount of vertical alveoloplasty during implant surgery has no significant impact on the KMW. The KMW remained stable from baseline to 6 months after alveoloplasty, implant placement, and immediate rehabilitations in potential edentulous arches. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been widely used to transmit data to Internet of Things (IoT) devices in various industrial, civil and military applications because of their flexibility and mobility. Some emergency situations pose strict requirements for UAV mission completion time. Therefore, this paper investigates a UAV‐supported data distribution network, where a UAV is dispatched to distribute data to a group of IoT devices. We propose a device attribution (DA) based cluster‐by‐cluster (CBC) communication strategy. The objective is to minimize UAV mission time while satisfying the required data amount of all devices. To this end, we propose a mission time optimization algorithm (MTOA), whose key lies in invoking DA mechanism to determine the device belonging in the coverage of overlapping clusters. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed strategy can effectively reduce the mission time compared with the baseline ones, offering an innovative method for solving complex device attribution issues. Purpose: This is a clinical study to compare immediate and staged impression methods in a complete digital workflow for single‐unit implants in the posterior area. Materials and Methods: Sixty patients requiring single‐unit implant crowns were enrolled. Forty patients were assigned to the test group, immediate digital impression after implant surgery with crown delivery 4 months later. The remaining 20 patients were assigned to the control group, staged digital impressions 4 months after implant surgery, and crown delivery 1 month later. Both workflows involved free‐model CAD‐CAM crown fabrications. The crowns were scanned before and after clinical adjustment using an intraoral scanner (TRIOS Color; 3Shape). Two 3D digital models were trimmed and superimposed to evaluate the dimensional changes using Geomagic Control software. Chairside times for the entire workflow were recorded. Kruskal–Wallis was performed to compare crown adjustments between two groups, while One‐way ANOVA was used to compare chairside time durations between the test and control groups. Results: All crowns were delivered without refabrication. The average maximum occlusion adjustment of crowns was −353.2 ± 207.1 μm in the test group and −212.7 ± 150.5 μm in the control group (p = 0.02). The average area of occlusal adjustment, measured as an area of deviation larger than 100 μm, was 14.8 ± 15.3 and 8.4 ± 8.1 mm2 in the test and control groups, respectively (p = 0.056). There were no significant differences in the mesial and distal contact adjustment amounts, or the maximum deviations of the proximal area, between the two groups. The mean chair‐side time was 50.25 ± 13.48 and 51.20 ± 5.34 min in the test and control groups, respectively (p = 0.763). Conclusions: The immediate impression method in the digital workflow for single‐unit implants required more occlusal adjustments of crowns but showed similar chairside times compared to the staged impression method. The regenerative treatment of infectious vertical bone defects remains difficult and challenging today. Current clinical treatments are limited in their ability to control bacteria and infection, which is unfavorable for new bone formation and calls for a new type of material with excellent osteogenic and antibacterial properties. Here a multifunctional scaffold is synthesized that mimics natural bone nanostructures by incorporating silver nanowires into a hierarchical, intrafibrillar mineralized collagen matrix (IMC/AgNWs), to achieve the therapeutic goals of inhibiting bacterial activity and promoting infectious alveolar bone augmentation in rats and beagle dogs. An appropriate concentration of 0.5 mg mL−1 AgNWs is selected to balance biocompatibility and antibacterial properties. The achieved IMC/AgNWs exhibit a broad spectrum of antimicrobial properties against Gram‐negative Porphyromonas gingivalis and Gram‐positive Streptococcus mutans. When the IMC/AgNWs are cocultured with periodontal ligament stem cells, it possesses excellent osteoinductive activities under both non‐inflammatory and inflammatory conditions. By constructing a rat mandibular infected periodontal defect model, the IMC/AgNWs achieve a near‐complete healing through the canonical BMP/Smad signaling. Moreover, the IMC/AgNWs enhance vertical bone height and osseointegration in peri‐implantitis in beagle dogs, indicating the clinical translational potential of IMC/AgNWs for infectious vertical bone augmentation. The dissipative particle dynamics (DPD) simulation was used to study the morphologies and structures of the paclitaxel‐loaded PLA‐b‐PEO‐b‐PLA polymeric micelle. We focused on the influences of PLA block length, PLA‐b‐PEO‐b‐PLA copolymer concentration, paclitaxel drug content on morphologies and structures of the micelle. Our simulations show that: (i) with the PLA block length increase, the self‐assemble structure of PLA‐b‐PEO‐b‐PLA copolymers with paclitaxel vary between onion‐like structure (core‐middle layer‐shell) to spherical core‐shell structure. The PEO shell thins and the size of the PLA core increases. The onionlike structures are comprised of the PEO hydrophilic core, the PLA hydrophobic middle layer, and the PEO hydrophilic shell, the distribution of the paclitaxel drug predominantly occurs within the hydrophobic intermediate layer; (ii) The system forms a spherical core‐shell structure when a small amount of the drug is added, and within a certain range, the size of the spherical structure increases as the drug amount increases. When the drug contents (volume fraction) cdrug = 10%, it can be observed that the PLA4‐b‐PEO19‐b‐PLA4 spherical structures connect to form rod‐shaped structures. With the length of PLA block NPLA = 8, as the paclitaxel drug concentrations cdrug = 4%, PEO has been insufficient to completely encapsulate the PLA and paclitaxel drug beads. To enhance drug loading capacity while maintaining stability of the system in aqueous solution, the optimal composition for loading paclitaxel is PLA4‐b‐PEO19‐b‐PLA4; the drug content is not higher than 4%; (iii) The paclitaxel‐loaded PLA4‐b‐PEO19‐b‐PLA4 micelle undergo the transition from onionlike (core‐middle layer‐shell) to spherical (core‐shell) to rod‐shaped and lamellar structure as the PLA4‐b‐PEO19‐b‐PLA4 copolymer concentration increases from ccp = 10% to 40%. Aim: To explore the features of and potential landmarks that predict crestal ridge remodeling after immediate implant placement and provisionalization (IIPP) with thin buccal plate phenotype in the anterior maxilla. Materials and methods: Patients requiring IIPP of single maxillary incisor with thin buccal bone plate (<1 mm) were recruited. Cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT), performed before and 6 months after the intervention, were three‐dimensionally superimposed. A virtual line connecting the bony emergence points of adjacent teeth was drawn as a reference. The facial–coronal alveolar crest of the extraction socket and healed ridge were located in mesial, middle and distal cross‐sectional planes, and linear ridge reductions were measured. The correlation between ridge reduction and local factors was analyzed. Results: Fifty patients were included. From the extraction socket to healed ridge, the alveolar crest underwent linear bone reduction of 1.50 ± 0.50, 1.54 ± 0.66 and 1.65 ± 0.73 mm in the mesial, middle, and distal regions in an apical–palatal direction. The middle region had significantly higher horizontal (facial–palatal) but lower vertical (coronal–apical) bone reduction than the mesial and distal areas (P < 0.01). The facial–coronal ridge crest of the healed ridge located close to the reference line. Ridge reduction positively correlated with the distance between the initial facial–coronal crest of the extraction socket and the reference line (P < 0.01). Conclusions: Alveolar crest of the socket lost its curvature and tended to attain a flat profile after IIPP due to inconsistent ridge reduction in middle, mesial and distal areas. Purpose: To assess the clinical performance of screw‐retained, ceramic‐veneered, monolithic zirconia partial implant‐supported fixed dental prostheses (ISFDP) over 5–10 years and to evaluate implant‐ and prosthesis‐related factors influencing treatment failure and complications. Materials and methods: Partially edentulous patients treated with screw‐retained all‐ceramic ISFDPs with 2–4 prosthetic units with a documented follow‐up of ≥5 years after implant loading were included in this retrospective study. The outcomes analyzed included implant/prosthesis failure and biological/technical complications. Possible risk factors were identified using the mixed effects Cox regression analysis. Results: A screened sample of 171 participants with 208 prostheses (95% of the restorations were splinted crowns without a pontic) supported by 451 dental implants were enrolled in this study. The mean follow‐up duration after prosthesis delivery was 82.4 ±17.2 months. By the end of the follow‐up period, 431 (95.57%) of the 451 implants remained functional at the implant level. At the prosthesis level, 185 (88.94%) of the 208 partial ISFDPs remained functional. Biological complications were observed in 67 implants (14.86%), and technical complications were observed in 62 ISFDPs (29.81%). Analysis revealed only emergence profiles (over‐contoured) as a significant risk factor for implant failure (P<0.001) and biological complications (P<0.001). Full‐coverage ceramic‐veneered zirconia prostheses had a significantly greater chance of chipping (P<0.001) compared with buccal‐ceramic‐veneered or monolithic zirconia prostheses. Conclusions: Screw‐retained ceramic‐veneered, monolithic partial ISFDPs have a favorable long‐term survival rate. Over‐contoured emergence profile is a significant risk factor associated with implant failure and biological complications. Buccal‐ceramic‐veneered and monolithic zirconia partial ISFDPs lower the initial prevalence of chipping compared with a full‐coverage veneered design. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A dielectric‐loaded slot antenna with the characteristic of broadband, low profile, and low cross‐polarization is presented. The antenna incorporating a low permittivity (εl=4.1 ${\varepsilon }_{l}=4.1$) and multiple high permittivity (εh=22 ${\varepsilon }_{h}=22$) rectangle dielectric is fed by two rectangle slot, which generates three slot modes and achieves measured 10 dB impedance bandwidth of 88% $ \% $ from 1.57 to 4.04 GHz covering the long term evolution (1.71–2.69 GHz) and sub‐6G (3.3–3.6 GHz). Furthermore, the presented slot antenna with a footprint of 0.81 × 0.56λ02 ${\lambda }_{0}^{2}$ and a low profile of 0.09λ0 ${\lambda }_{0}$ (λ0 ${\lambda }_{0}$ is the wavelength in the air region at the center frequency) appears the performance of measured peak gain of 9 dB without using any dielectric resonator mode. On the basis of the single‐polarized design, the dual‐polarized design with a profile of 0.09λ0 ${\lambda }_{0}$ is investigated and fabricated. Objectives: The main purpose of this retrospective study was to assess the difference in the incidence of peri‐zygomatic complications (PZCs) when zygomatic implants (ZIs) penetrate or do not penetrate the external surface of zygoma. Materials and Methods: This study included 32 patients with edentulous maxillae or potentially edentulous maxillae undergo zygomatic implantation. The patients were divided into the penetration group (P‐group) and the non‐penetration group (N‐group) according to whether the apex of implants penetrated the external surface of zygoma in postoperative CBCT. The extension length, the penetration section of the implants, and the skin thickness at the corresponding position were simultaneously measured. Clinical follow‐up was conducted regularly until 2 years after surgery. The occurrence of PZCs (including peri‐zygomatic infection, skin numbness, non‐infectious pain, and foreign body sensation) was recorded. A mixed effect logistic model was used to compare the difference of complication rate between the P‐group and the N‐group, and odds ratio (OR) was calculated. Then identify the impact of the extension length, penetration section and skin thickness in P‐group with the same model. Results: A total of 71 ZIs were implanted in 32 patients, including 37 implants in the P‐group and 34 implants in the N‐group. During the 2‐year follow‐up, a total of 13 implants occurred PZCs, with an overall complication rate of 18.3%. Thereinto, the incidence rate was 29.7% in the P‐group, and 5.9% in the N‐group (OR = 6.77). In P‐group, there was a significant difference in complication rate of different extension lengths, while the penetration section and skin thickness had no statistical significance on the complication rate. Conclusion: Under the limitation of this study, to minimize the risk of PZCs, ZI should be placed in a manner that avoids the apex penetrating the external surface of the zygoma. Aim: This study investigated anxiety, depression, and stress and their influencing factors among nurses during the COVID‐19 pandemic and after the flood in Henan Province, China. It aimed to provide the theoretical foundation for the management of relevant hospital departments, improvement of nursing quality, implementation of antiepidemic work, and other relevant studies. Background: In December 2019, COVID‐19 was reported in Wuhan, China and became a global pandemic. In July 2021, unprecedented flooding occurred in Henan Province, China. Under the dual pressure of COVID‐19 and the flood, nurses' mental health problems deteriorated. Methods: In August 2021, 1229 nurses from various departments of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinxiang Medical University in Xinxiang City, Henan Province,China were invited to participate in a questionnaire survey using a general condition questionnaire and the Chinese version of the Depression–Anxiety–Stress Scale. Descriptive statistics were used to analyze the status of nurses' anxiety, depression, and stress. Analysis of variance, t‐test, and multiple linear regression models were used to analyze the factors influencing anxiety, depression, and stress among nurses. Results: Of the participants, 36.1%, 10.1%, and 15.5% had moderate to high levels of anxiety, stress, and depression, respectively. Moreover, 42 (3.4%) participants experienced high to severe levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. The scores showed significant differences based on gender, harmonious family relationships, department position, work intensity, sleep quality, physical exercise, participation in leisure activities, health status, involvement in emotion management‐related training, and attending self‐care‐related training (all P < 0.05). Gender, work intensity, harmonious family relationships, health condition, sleep quality, and participation in leisure activities influenced stress, anxiety, and depression scores. Department position influenced anxiety and stress scores, and average monthly earnings influenced anxiety scores. Conclusion: All the nurses experienced various levels of stress, anxiety, and depression. Related departments should pay special attention to male nurses and nurses with high work intensity, unharmonious family relationships, poor health, and sleep quality, and who engage in fewer leisure activities. Implications for nursing and health policy: It is recommended that departments allocate human resources and arrange schedules reasonably, encourage nurses to participate in more recreational activities, and implement emotion management and self‐care‐related training to relieve emotional distress, and ultimately maintain nurses' mental health. A Flocking obstacle avoidance algorithm based on the extensive game with perfect information is proposed for the blockage problem of UAV swarm in front of multi‐narrow type obstacles. The two UAVs closest to the target are selected as participants of the game, and the game tree is defined to determine the combination of the motion strategies of the two UAVs to obtain the payoff matrix. Determine the subgame perfect Nash equilibrium to get the optimal strategy, and give the UAVs different motion states respectively so as to ensure that the UAVs can successfully pass multi‐narrow type obstacles. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has a higher over‐hole rate in the case of the multi‐narrow type obstacle compared to the static game‐based Flocking obstacle avoidance algorithm. This study investigated the role of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 2 (mTORC2)‐protein kinase B (AKT) signalling in methionine (Met)‐induced L‐type amino acid transporter 1 (LAT1) expression and milk protein production. Primary mammary epithelial cells (MECs) from mammary parenchymal tissues of three lactating cows and MAC‐T bovine MECs were cultured with or without 0.6 mM Met. Rapamycin‐insensitive companion of mTOR (RICTOR) siRNA, the mTORC1 inhibitor rapamycin and the AKT activator SC79 were used to evaluate the effects of mTORC2‐AKT signalling on Met‐induced LAT1 expression and function. Each experiment was performed three times. Data were analysed with a two‐sided unpaired t test or ANOVA with the Bonferroni multiple‐comparison test. Western blotting showed that Met stimulation increased RICTOR expression (~244.67%; p < 0.05; control, 0.15 ± 0.026; Met, 0.517 ± 0.109) and AKT‐S473 levels (~281.42%; p < 0.01; control, 0.253 ± 0.067; Met, 0.965 ± 0.019) in both primary MECs and MAC‐T cells. Rapamycin‐induced mTORC1 signalling inhibition decreased only Met‐induced β‐CASEIN expression by ~21.24% (p < 0.01; Met, 0.777 ± 0.01; Met and rapamycin, 0.612 ± 0.04) and did not affect Met‐stimulated AKT‐S473 levels, suggesting that mTORC2‐AKT activation upon Met stimulation also contributes to milk protein synthesis. LAT1 participates in Met‐induced β‐CASEIN expression. In dairy cow MECs, mTORC2 inhibition by RICTOR siRNA decreased LAT1 levels on the plasma membrane by ~45.13% (p < 0.01; control, 0.359 ± 0.006; siRICTOR, 0.197 ± 0.004). However, SC79‐induced AKT activation had the opposite effect (p < 0.01). In primary MECs and MAC‐T cells, Met stimulation increased cytosolic and plasma membrane LAT1 expression respectively (MECs, 113.98% and 58.43%; MAC‐T, 165.85% and 396.39%; p < 0.05). However, RICTOR siRNA significantly reduced Met‐induced plasma membrane LAT1 expression (~76.48%; Met, 0.539 ± 0.05; Met and siRICTOR, 0.127 ± 0.012; p < 0.05). Objectives: To compare the survival and complication rates of posterior screw‐retained monolithic lithium disilicate (LS2)/veneered zirconia (ZrO2) single implant crowns (SICs), as well as analyze the occlusal changes observed during a 3‐year follow‐up period. Materials and Methods: Thirty‐three patients were included and randomly divided into two groups. The test group consisted of 17 patients who received monolithic‐LS2–SIC, while the control group consisted of 16 patients who received veneered‐ZrO2‐SIC. Implant/prosthesis survival rates, technical complications, peri‐implant soft tissue conditions, and quantitative occlusal changes of SIC (obtained by the intra‐oral scanner and analyzed in reverse software Geomagic Control 2015) were assessed at 1‐ and 3‐year follow‐ups. Bone loss and Functional Implant Prosthodontic Score (FIPS) were evaluated at a 3‐year follow‐up. Results: After a 3‐year follow‐up period, one patient dropped out of the follow‐up. No implant loss was observed. One crown was fractured, resulting in prosthesis survival rates of 93.75% for the monolithic group and 100% for the veneered group. A technical complication rate of 25% (4/16) was observed in the veneered group (p =.333). No significant differences in the marginal bone loss were observed at the 3‐year follow‐up (0.00 (−0.22, 0.17) mm versus 0.00 (−0.12, 0.12) mm, p =.956). The total FIPS scores for the test group were 9.0 (9.0, 9.0), while the control group received scores of 9.0 (8.0, 10.0) (p =.953). The changes in mean occlusal clearance were 0.022 ± 0.083 mm for the test and 0.034 ± 0.077 mm for the control group (at 3 years, p =.497). The changes in occlusal contact area were 1.075 ± 2.575 mm2 for the test and 1.676 ± 2.551 mm2 for the control group (at 3 years, p =.873). Conclusion: After a 3‐year follow‐up, screw‐retained monolithic LS2 and veneered ZrO2 SIC demonstrated similar survival rates. Objective: To explore the differences in plaque accumulation on the fitting surface of full‐arch implant‐supported fixed prostheses with contact or noncontact pontics. Materials and Methods: Nineteen patients (20 prostheses, 7 in the maxilla, and 13 in the mandible) intending to undergo full‐arch implant‐supported immediate function prostheses were recruited. During immediate restoration and using the midline as the boundary, one side was restored as a pontic and mucosa noncontact type (the test group), and the opposite side was restored as a pontic and mucosa contact type (the control group). In a follow‐up 6 months after the surgery, the cleanliness of the fitting surface of the immediate prosthesis was evaluated by plaque staining and debris index determination. Patient satisfaction was investigated by questionnaire. Results: Twenty prostheses from 19 patients included in the randomized controlled trial were followed up. Among the 20 prostheses, the percentage of area covered with plaque was significantly lower in the test group compared with that in the control group (31.5 ± 15.8% vs. 43.7 ± 15.3%; p < 0.001). The debris index in the test group was lower than that in the control group, although the difference was not statistically significant (2.77 ± 0.73 vs. 3.15 ± 0.90; p > 0.05). In the patient satisfaction survey, most of the patients were satisfied with most aspects of the prostheses, however, nearly half of the patients were not satisfied with the cleaning. Conclusions: The pontic and mucosa noncontact prosthetic design reduces plaque accumulation on the fitting surface, which is beneficial for maintaining oral cleanliness. Objectives: We aimed to retrospectively evaluate the long‐term clinical outcomes of lateral sinus floor elevation (LSFE) in patients with sinus floor defects. Materials and Methods: Between 2008 and 2020, patients with sinus floor defects were recruited after confirmation on preoperative cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT). The split‐thickness flap technique with a palatal crestal incision was used to manage tissue adhesion in the bone defects area. A resorbable collagen membrane was used to close the sinus floor defects from the crestal side before bone substitute placement. Of 58 implants, 47 (81.0%) were placed after an 8‐month healing period, whereas 11 were placed simultaneously. Patients were followed up by radiography and clinical examination for 1–9 years. Finally, the cumulative survival rate (CSR) of implants, surgical complications, and marginal bone loss (MBL) were recorded and analyzed. Results: In total, LSFE was performed in 36 sinuses (35 patients) with sinus floor defects, of which surgery was completed in 35 sinuses (97.2%) in the first attempt. Schneiderian membrane perforations (SMP) occurred in 10/36 (27.8%) sinuses; nine were repaired carefully, whereas one surgery was suspended due to complicated SMP, and successful re‐entry LSFE was performed 4 months later. After a follow‐up period of 1–9 years, the CSR was 96.5% at the 1‐year, 3‐year, 5‐year, and 7‐year follow‐ups and 64.3% at the 8‐year follow‐up. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, sinus floor defects seem not to compromise LSFE therapy after appropriate management and long‐term clinical outcomes are predictable. Background: This meta‐analysis aimed to assess the rate of malignant transformation (MT) of oral leukoplakia (OL) and to study potential risk factors for the MT of OL into oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). Method: We performed a bibliographic search on nine electronic databases, including PubMed, MEDLINE, and Wanfang Data, for data on the MT rate of OL. Possible risk factors were calculated using Comprehensive Meta‐Analysis and Open Meta [Analyst] software. Results: The pooled proportion of OL MT for the total population described in the 26 selected studies was 7.20% (95% confidence interval: 5.40–9.10%). Nonhomogeneous type lesions, higher grades of dysplasia, the location of the lesion (tongue and multifocal), and female sex had significant effects on the MT of OL. Conclusion: OL tended to develop into OSCC (7.2%), and those with significant MT risk factors should be subjected to regular follow‐up and observation. However, we require large‐scale prospective studies to validate these results, together with unified clinicopathological diagnostic criteria, standardized risk factor recording/assessment methods, and long‐term follow‐up guidelines. Near‐infrared (NIR) fluorescence imaging poses significant superiority over traditional medical imaging for tumor resection, thus having attracted widely attention. However, for tiny tumor residues, it requires relative high sensitivity to determine. Here, based on persistent luminescence nanoparticles (PLNPs), an ultrasensitive nanoprobe with extraordinary tumor imaging result is developed to guide surgical removal. Persistent luminescence (PersL) is quenched in normal tissue by the outer layer of MnO2, and is recovered due to the degradation of MnO2 in tumor microenvironment, significantly improving the sensitivity of tumor imaging. Combined with the absence of background fluorescence in imaging of PLNPs, ultrahigh sensitivity is achieved. In orthotopic breast cancer model, the intraoperative tumor‐to‐normal tissue (T/NT) signal ratio of the nanoprobe is 58.8, about 9 times that of downconversion nanoparticles. The T/NT ratio of residual tumor (<2 mm) remains 12.4, considerably high to distinguish tumor tissue from normal tissue. Besides, multiple‐microtumor, 4T1 liver‐implanted tumor and lung metastasis models are built to prove that this ultrasensitive nanoprobe is feasible to recognize tumor residues. Notably, PersL imaging takes only 1.5 min, appropriate to be applied for intraoperative imaging. Macropinocytosis is an effective strategy to mitigate nutrient starvation. It can fuel cancer cell growth in nutrient‐limited conditions. However, whether and how macropinocytosis contributes to the rapid proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma cells, which frequently experience an inadequate nutrient supply, remains unclear. Here, we demonstrated that nutrient starvation strongly induced macropinocytosis in some hepatocellular carcinoma cells. It allowed the cells to acquire extracellular nutrients and supported their energy supply to maintain rapid proliferation. Furthermore, we found that the phospholipid flippase ATP9A was critical for regulating macropinocytosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells and that high ATP9A levels predicted a poor outcome for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma. ATP9A interacted with ATP6V1A and facilitated its transport to the plasma membrane, which promoted plasma membrane cholesterol accumulation and drove RAC1‐dependent macropinocytosis. Macropinocytosis inhibitors significantly suppressed the energy supply and proliferation of hepatocellular carcinoma cells characterised by high ATP9A expression under nutrient‐limited conditions. These results have revealed a novel mechanism that overcomes nutrient starvation in hepatocellular carcinoma cells and have identified the key regulator of macropinocytosis in hepatocellular carcinoma. © 2023 The Authors. Purpose: Choosing four or six implants to support immediate full‐arch fixed prostheses (FAFPs) is still controversial worldwide. This study aims to analyze and compare the long‐term results of All‐on‐4 and All‐on‐6. Materials and Methods: This retrospective cohort study enrolled 217 patients rehabilitated with 1222 implants supporting 271 FAFPs, including 202 prostheses supported by 4 implants (All‐on‐4 group) and 69 prostheses supported by 6 implants (All‐on‐6 group), and followed up for 3–13 years. Implant survival, prosthesis survival, complications, and implant marginal bone loss (MBL) were evaluated and compared between two groups. Patient characteristics including age, gender, jaw, opposite dentition condition, smoking habit, bruxism, bone quantity and quality, cantilever length (CL), prosthesis material, and oral hygiene were analyzed to assess their influence on the clinical results of the two groups. Six surgeons and three prosthodontists who performed FAFPs more than 5 years were invited for questionnaires, to assess patient‐ and clinician‐related influences on implant number. Result: In general, All‐on‐4 group indicated no significant difference with All‐on‐6 group in the implant survival (implant‐level: hazard ratio [HR] = 1.0 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.8–1.2], P = 0.96; prosthesis‐level: HR = 0.8 [95% CI: 0.3–1.8], P = 0.54), prosthesis survival (odds ratio [OR] = 0.8 [95% CI: 0.3–2.8], P = 0.56), biological complications (OR = 0.9 [95% CI: 0.5–1.8], P = 0.78), technical complications of provisional prosthesis (OR = 1.3 [95% CI: 0.7–2.3], P = 0.42), technical complications of definitive prosthesis (OR = 1.1 [95% CI: 0.6–2.2], P = 0.33) and the 1st, 5th, and 10th year MBL (P = 0.65, P = 0.28, P = 0.14). However, for specific covariates, including elderly patients, opposing natural/fixed dentition, smoking, bruxism, long CL, low bone density, and all acrylic provisional prostheses, All‐on‐6 was more predictable in some clinical measurements than All‐on‐4. The implant prosthodontists and the medium‐experienced clinicians showed significant preference for All‐on‐6 (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Based on this study, the long‐term clinical results showed no significant difference between All‐on‐4 and All‐on‐6 groups in general. However, for some specific characteristics, All‐on‐6 seemed to be more predictable in some clinical measurements than All‐on‐4. A palladium‐catalyzed oxidative amidation of conjugated olefin with 2‐pyridone is described. A series of E‐Enamides were synthesized in a highly stereocontrolled manner. The reaction also accommodates other cyclic and acyclic amides. Z‐Enamides were predominantly prepared for primary amides probably due to the presence of an intramolecular hydrogen bond. Objectives: To compare the outcome and efficiency of the computer‐aided intraoral block bone grafting procedure with those of the conventional technique for the augmentation of horizontal ridge defects. Materials and Methods: A total of 28 patients with single missing tooth in esthetic zone with class IV horizontal alveolar bone defect in need of dental implant restoration were recruited. Computer‐aided design of the implant restoration and intraoral block bone grafting was performed for all the participants. The patients were randomly and equally divided into guide and control groups. A fully guided bone harvesting, trimming, and grafting surgery was executed in the guide group. The control group patients underwent surgery without any guide. After 6 months, all the patients underwent implant placement. The primary outcomes were the root mean square estimate (RMSE) values between the outer contours of the actual implanted and planned bone block as well as the RMSE values between the inner surface of the implanted bone block and the original bone surface of the recipient site immediately after surgery. The secondary outcomes were the trimming time of bone block and the surgery‐associated complications. The postoperative visual analog scale (VAS) of pain, swelling, and mouth opening difficulty was recorded. Results: All 28 patients underwent intraoral block bone grafting, followed by the placement of implant after 191.8 ± 19.69 days. The RMSE values between the outer contours of the implanted and planned bone blocks were significantly lower in the guide group (0.37 ± 0.16 mm) as compared to those in the control group (0.72 ± 0.29 mm) (p = 0.0007). The RMSE values between the inner contours of the graft block and original bone at the recipient site were lower in the guide group (0.35 ± 0.15 mm) as compared to those in the control group (0.48 ± 0.17 mm) (p = 0.043). The duration of bone block trimming was shorter in the guide group (401.51 ± 97.60 s) as compared to the control group (602.36 ± 160.57 s) (p = 0.0005). In the control group, two patients received secondary bone grafting, one patient experienced bleeding of donor site and temporary hypoesthesia of the lower lip and chin skin, and one patient developed temporary sensitivity of the adjacent tooth. Conclusions: As compared to the conventional procedure, the fully digital workflow in the present study seemed to be a more accuracy and effective protocol for horizontal ridge augmentation with intraoral block bone. SUMMARY: Vegetative propagation (VP) is an important practice for production in many horticultural plants. Sugar supply constitutes the basis of VP in bulb flowers, but the underlying molecular basis remains elusive. By performing a combined sequencing technologies coupled with ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography‐quadrupole time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry approach for metabolic analyses, we compared two Lycoris species with contrasting regeneration rates: high‐regeneration Lycoris sprengeri and low‐regeneration Lycoris aurea. A comprehensive multi‐omics analyses identified both expected processes involving carbohydrate metabolism and transcription factor networks, as well as the metabolic characteristics for each developmental stage. A higher abundance of the differentially expressed genes including those encoding ethylene responsive factors was detected at bulblet initiation stage compared to the late stage of bulblet development. High hexose‐to‐sucrose ratio correlated to bulblet formation across all the species examined, indicating its role in the VP process in Lycoris bulb. Importantly, a clear difference between cell wall invertase (CWIN)‐catalyzed sucrose unloading in high‐regeneration species and the sucrose synthase‐catalyzed pathway in low‐regeneration species was observed at the bulblet initiation stage, which was supported by findings from carboxyfluorescein tracing and quantitative real‐time PCR analyses. Collectively, the findings indicate a sugar‐mediated model of the regulation of VP in which high CWIN expression or activity may promote bulblet initiation via enhancing apoplasmic unloading of sucrose or sugar signals, whereas the subsequent high ratio of hexose‐to‐sucrose likely supports cell division characterized in the next phase of bulblet formation. Significance Statement: At a time of unprecedented climate change and losses in biodiversity, vegetative propagation (VP) is a particularly practical strategy for the survival and yield realization of many plant species. Assisted by horticultural techniques such as cross‐cutting, VP contributes significantly to the commercial production and global horticultural industry as seen in the production of flower bulbs. However, the molecular mechanism orchestrating vegetative regeneration capacities remains largely unknown. Here, we addressed this issue in Lycoris bulbs using multi‐omics approaches. Background: To analyze disease generalization in patients with ocular myasthenia gravis (OMG) treated with immunosuppression compared with patients without immunosuppression treatment. Methods: In this retrospective cohort study, we analyzed data from patients with OMG at seven medical centers in China from January 1, 2015 to May 1, 2019 and compared disease generalization in patients (treated with immunosuppression vs. not treated) within 2 years of disease onset using raw and inverse probability of treatment weighting (IPTW) analyses. Results: In the study population of 813 patients with OMG, 425 (52.3%) with immunosuppression had a mean (SD) onset age of 50.0 (15.1) years, and 188 (44.2%) were women. The remaining 388 (47.7%) patients were not immunosuppressed (mean age, 48.4 [15.0] years; 185 [47.7%] women). Disease generalization developed in 122 (31.4%) and 37 (8.7%) patients in the non‐immunosuppression and immunosuppression groups, respectively. Relative to non‐immunosuppression, immunosuppression was associated with a lower risk of generalization in a multivariable‐adjusted Cox model (hazard ratio [HR] 0.27; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.18–0.40; p < 0.001) and IPTW‐weighted Cox model (HR 0.28; 95% CI 0.19–0.42; p < 0.001). In sensitivity analyses, longer duration of immunosuppression was associated with a lower risk of generalization (HR 0.90 for every 1‐month increase; 95% CI 0.87–0.92; p < 0.001; IPTW‐adjusted). Combination therapy with steroids and non‐steroidal immunosuppressants showed superior efficacy in reducing the risk of generalization (HR 0.14; 95% CI 0.07–0.26; p < 0.001). Purpose: This is a clinical study to compare complete digital workflows generated using intraoral scanning and the split‐file technique with a conventional workflow for cement‐retained implant‐supported restorations. Materials and methods: Forty patients requiring posterior single‐unit implant restorations were included. Twenty patients were randomly assigned to the complete digital workflow group, involving intraoral scanning and manufacture of cement‐retained crowns using the split‐file technique (test group). The remaining 20 patients were assigned to the hybrid workflow group (control group), involving conventional impressions and CAD‐CAM fabricated crowns based on stone casts. Scanning of the crowns was performed before and after clinical adjustment using an intraoral scanner (TRIOS Color; 3Shape). Two 3D digital models were trimmed and superimposed to evaluate changes in dimensions using Geomagic Control 2014 software. Chair‐side and laboratory times for the entire workflow were recorded. Independent‐sample t tests were used for the statistical analysis. Results: All crowns were inserted without refabrication. The average maximum occlusal adjustment of the crowns, measured as maximum deviation of occlusal area in superimposed pre and post scans, was −212.7 ± 150.5 and −330.7 ± 192.5 µm in the test and control groups, respectively (p = 0.037). The average area of occlusal adjustment, measured as area of deviation larger than 100 µm, was 8.4 ± 8.1 and 17.1 ± 12.3 mm2 in the test and control groups, respectively (p = 0.012). The mesial and distal contact adjustment amounts, maximum deviations of proximal area, were −33.0 ± 96.2 and −48.6 ± 70.5 µm in the test group, and −3.7 ± 66.7 µm and −11.4 ± 106.7 µm in the control group, respectively. The mean chair‐side time was 20.20 ± 3.00 and 26.65 ± 4.53 minutes in the test and control groups, respectively (p < 0.001). The mean laboratory time was 43.70 ± 5.56 and 84.55 ± 5.81 minutes in the test and control groups, respectively (p < 0.001). Conclusions: Single‐unit cement‐retained crowns with complete digital workflows required fewer crown adjustments and had shorter clinical and laboratory times compared to conventional impressions and hybrid workflows. Background: As an inflammatory factor and oncogenic driver protein, the pleiotropic cytokine macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) plays a crucial role in the osteosarcoma microenvironment. Although 4‐iodo‐6‐phenylpyrimidine (4‐IPP) can inactivate MIF biological functions, its anti‐osteosarcoma effect and molecular mechanisms have not been investigated. In this study, we identified the MIF inhibitor 4‐IPP as a specific double‐effector drug for osteosarcoma with both anti‐tumour and anti‐osteoclastogenic functions. Methods: The anti‐cancer effects of 4‐IPP were evaluated by wound healing assay, cell cycle analysis, colony formation assay, CCK‐8 assay, apoptosis analysis, and Transwell migration/invasion assays. Through the application of a luciferase reporter, chromatin immunoprecipitation assays, and immunofluorescence and coimmunoprecipitation analyses, the transcriptional regulation of the NF‐κB/P‐TEFb complex on c‐Myb‐ and STUB1‐mediated proteasome‐dependent MIF protein degradation was confirmed. The effect of 4‐IPP on tumour growth and metastasis was assessed using an HOS‐derived tail vein metastasis model and subcutaneous and orthotopic xenograft tumour models. Results: In vitro, 4‐IPP significantly reduced the proliferation and metastasis of osteosarcoma cells by suppressing the NF‐κB pathway. 4‐IPP hindered the binding between MIF and CD74 as well as p65. Moreover, 4‐IPP inhibited MIF to interrupt the formation of downstream NF‐κB/P‐TEFb complexes, leading to the down‐regulation of c‐Myb transcription. Interestingly, the implementation of 4‐IPP can mediate small molecule‐induced MIF protein proteasomal degradation via the STUB1 E3 ligand. However, 4‐IPP still interrupted MIF‐mediated communication between osteosarcoma cells and osteoclasts, thus promoting osteoclastogenesis. Remarkably, 4‐IPP strongly reduced HOS‐derived xenograft osteosarcoma tumourigenesis and metastasis in an in vivo mouse model. Conclusions: Our findings demonstrate that the small molecule 4‐IPP targeting the MIF protein exerts an anti‐osteosarcoma effect by simultaneously inactivating the biological functions of MIF and promoting its proteasomal degradation. To verify the applicability of upstream ribs in film cooling, the present numerical study examines heat transfer characteristics and flow field for ribs located upstream of the film hole. Five ribs including bilaterally truncated ribs, centrally truncated ribs, and continuous ribs are explored with the smooth case at two blowing ratios and fixed crossflow Reynolds number. The results show that the film cooling effectiveness of cases with ribs outperforms the case without rib at a low blowing ratio. Centrally truncated ribs and continuous ribs provide superior cooling effectiveness than bilaterally truncated ribs and smooth cases. The introduction of ribs makes the distribution of the heat transfer coefficient (HTC) uneven after the hole. Among these, centrally truncated ribs increased the HTC, while bilaterally truncated ribs reduce the HTC in the far hole area at a high blowing ratio. It is found that anti‐kidney‐shaped vortex pairs are generated between two adjacent jets for centrally truncated rib cases, while they are generated in front of the jets for bilaterally truncated rib cases. For continuous rib, the impingement of the mainstream gas on the jet leads to a reduction in strength of the kidney‐shaped vortex, which allows the coolant to form a better coverage. Unsupervised multi‐domain image‐to‐image translation aims to synthesize images among multiple domains without labelled data, which is more general and complicated than one‐to‐one image mapping. However, existing methods mainly focus on reducing the large costs of modelling and do not pay enough attention to the quality of generated images. In some target domains, their translation results may not be expected or even cause the model collapse. To improve the image quality, an effective many‐to‐many mapping framework for unsupervised multi‐domain image‐to‐image translation is proposed. There are two key aspects to the proposed method. The first is a many‐to‐many architecture with only one domain‐shared encoder and several domain‐specialized decoders to effectively and simultaneously translate images across multiple domains. The second is two proposed constraints extended from one‐to‐one mappings to further help improve the generation. Background: Alveolar ridge preservation can effectively decrease alveolar ridge resorption following tooth extraction, but it can be limited by reducing new bone formation and residual bone graft material. Efforts to develop more efficacious approaches are thus an area of active research. Purpose: To assess the impact of autologous concentrated growth factors (CGF) on alveolar ridge absorption and osteogenesis following posterior tooth extraction. Materials and methods: Fifty patients were randomly assigned to have extraction sockets treated with CGF or no treatment. At 10 days, 1 month, and 3 months postextraction, soft tissue color and texture were examined and evaluated with healing score. Cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT) scans were performed before and 3 months after extraction, while radiographic analyses were used to assess vertical and horizontal bone changes. Bone samples were collected from the extraction sockets during implant placement, and micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT) scans and histological analysis were performed to evaluate new bone formation. t‐Test or Mann–Whitney U test was used to compare data and the level of statistical significance was set at 0.05 for all analyses. Results: Forty‐six patients completed the trial. Sockets in the experimental group exhibited significantly better healing score on Day 10 postextraction relative to the control group, whereas comparable healing was observed in both groups at 1 and 3 months postextraction. Experimental group exhibited reduced vertical bone changes relative to the control (p < 0.05). Significant reductions were observed in ridge width changes at 1 and 2 mm apical to the crest (p < 0.05), although differences at 3 and 5 mm apical to the crest were not significant. Significant differences of bone mineral density (BMD) and microarchitecture of trabecular bone were observed via micro‐CT analyses, and the experimental group had better results. In the past, many mathematical models based on the dual‐porosity (DP) concept were developed to describe the groundwater flow in fractured aquifer systems. Most of them seemingly have problems in predicting accurate drawdown at the early and/or intermediate times as compared with field measured data. Thus, this study proposes a new analytical model with a generalized transfer term (GTT) to describe the flow induced by pumping in such systems. The new model is nonlinear because the GTT representing the matrix‐to‐fracture flux gives different weights to the fracture and matrix drawdowns. The GTT reduces to the existing first‐order transfer term if the weight equals zero and second‐order term if the weight is one. The present model also includes a leakage term accounting for flow from the overlain or underlain acquitard. The drawdown solution of the model is developed based on the Laplace transform method and integration by parts formula and then verified through the comparison with the finite‐element solution. The effect of different weight values in the GTT on the DP flow is investigated. Additionally, the sensitivity analysis is performed to assess the impact of the change in each of the aquifer parameters on the flow. Furthermore, the present solution is used to analyze two sets of pumping drawdown data from test sites in Canada and India. We found that the drawdown predictions from the present solution fit field measured data very well, suggesting that the present model can adequately describe the real‐world DP flow system. Organic electron‐transport materials (ETMs) play a critical role in enhancing performances and operational stability of organic light‐emitting diodes. In this context, we describe a triazine‐based electron‐transport material in high purity 6‐dphenylphosphinyl‐6′‐(4,6‐(tiphenyl‐1,3,5‐triazin‐2‐yl)[2,2′‐binaphthyl] (DPO‐2Na‐TRZ, MW= 685.75) via arylphosphine oxide modification. It exhibits a glass transition temperature of 130.8 °C. HOMO = −6.03 eV, LUMO = −3.08 eV. Its decomposition occurs at ca. 456 °C at 1% weight loss. Upon 50 wt% Liq doping, DPO‐2Na‐TRZ is investigated as an electron transport layer in bottom‐ and top‐emission green phosphorescent OLEDs. In the presence of an additional exciton‐blocking/electron‐transport layer, the resulting topemission OLED provides attractive characteristics. At a luminance of ca 1000 cd m−2, LE = 91.6 cd A−1, PE = 102.8 lm W−1 and EQE = 22.1 %. Whey acidic proteins (WAP) perform a diverse range of important biological functions, including proteinase activity, calcium transport and bacterial growth. The WAP four-disulphide core domain protein 1 (WFDC1) gene (also called PS20), encodes the 20 kDa prostate stromal protein (ps20), which is a member of the WAP-type fourdisulphide core domain family of proteins, and exhibits characteristics of serine protease inhibitors, such as elafin and secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor. Molecular structural analysis reveals that ps20 consists of four-disulphide bonds formed by eight cysteine residues located at the carboxyl terminus of the protein. Wfdc1-null mice were found to display no overt developmental phenotype, suggesting a dispensable role in organ growth and development. However, WFDC1 was able to mediate endothelial cell migration and pericyte stabilization, which are vital for the formation of functional vascular structures. WFDC1 was also found to be downregulated in cancers and exhibited a regulatory effect on cell proliferation. In addition, it was involved in the modulation of memory T cells during human immunodeficiency virus infection. Gaining a solid understanding of the mechanisms by which WFDC1 regulates tissue homeostasis and disease processes, in a tissue specific manner, will be an important move towards the development of WFDC1/ps20 as potential therapeutic targets. Background. Abnormal lipid metabolism is closely associated with the invasiveness and metastasis of cancer. Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) play essential roles in lipid metabolism, and miRNAs can affect lipid metabolism by targeting FABPs. However, the exact mechanism is unknown. Methods. FABP1 expression in HCC tissues was analyzed by immunochemistry with tissue microarrays. The lipid content was detected by Oil Red O staining, and the interaction between FABP1 and free fatty acid (FFA) was studied by a labeling and tracking method. miRNA arrays were used to detect the expression of miRNAs in IL-6-stimulated HCC cells. miR-603 expression was verified by qPCR. The proteins were checked by Western blot analysis. Gain and loss function evaluation was assessed by lentivirus and miRNA mimic transfection in Huh-7 cells, while reactive oxygen species (ROS) were detected by fluorescence. Results. FABP1 expression was significantly decreased in approximately 90% (81/90) of HCC patients. FABP1 expression in adjacent tissues was closely associated with overall survival. Meanwhile, lipid was abundant in the adjacent tissues, yet significantly reduced in HCC tissues. FABP1 and FFA can promote each other for being uptaken by Huh-7 cells. FABP1 overexpression induced apoptosis and inhibited the proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis of Huh-7 cells. IL-6 treatment affected the expression of miRNAs, and miR-603 was overexpressed in HCC tissues. Also, miR-603 overexpression promoted the proliferation, migration, invasion, and metastasis of Huh-7 cells. Bioinformatic analysis predicted that miR-603 targets the 3 ′ -UTR region of FABP1. However, miR-603 overexpression inhibited the expression of the FABP1 but increased the CPT1A, PPAR-α, and SREBP1 expressions. FABP1 overexpression reduced ROS in HCC cells, while miR-603 can reverse these effects. Conclusion. Our results indicate that in the pathogenesis of HCC, IL-6 induces miR-603 expression, which subsequently inhibits FABP1 expression, promotes the lipid metabolism- and synthesis-related proteins, and finally increases the cellular oxidative stress level and leads to the metastasis of HCC. A remote cascade asymmetric inverse‐electron‐demand oxa‐Diels‐Alder reaction of allyl ketones with isatin‐derived β,γ‐unsaturated α‐keto esters has been developed in the presence of a chiral bifunctional squaramide catalyst. Taking advantage of the secondary amide activating group, a series of enantioenriched 3,4'‐pyranyl spirooxindole derivatives bearing three contiguous chiral centers were attained in high yields (84 to >99%) with excellent enantioselectivities (96–99% ee). Background: Although small perforation of the maxillary sinus schneiderian membrane is a well‐documented complication during lateral sinus floor elevation (LSFE), complete perforations larger than 10 mm often result in discontinuation of surgery. Reports on reentry LSFE and its long‐term outcomes are sparse. Purpose To evaluate the long‐term outcomes of reentry LSFE following complete membrane perforation to elucidate the technical details of the reentry procedure. Materials and methods: We assessed the medical records of all patients receiving LSFE from 2008 to 2017 in the Department of Oral Implantology, Peking University Hospital of Stomatology. Twenty‐two patients receiving reentry LSFE after complete membrane perforation were enrolled. Data were recorded using cone beam computer tomography: including the residual bone height, membrane thickness of the sinus prior to surgery (MT1), and before reentry (MT2), and height of the bone graft during the reentry procedure (HBG). Cumulative survival rate of implants (CSR), marginal bone loss (MBL), and subsequent complications were also recorded. Results: From 2008 to 2017, 2023 consecutive patients (2262 sinuses) who underwent LSFE were screened. Complete membrane perforation occurred in 28 patients and resulted in discontinuation of surgery (1.2%). Twenty two patients were enrolled and received reentry LSFE within 3‐6 months. Two patients undergoing the reentry procedure were suspended due to excessive membrane perforation, while the other 20 finished reentry sinus bone graft. In the reentry procedure, the HBG was 9.73 ± 2.67 mm with 34 implant placements. The MT1 and MT2 were 1.03 ± 0.43 and 1.91 ± 1.45 mm, respectively, showing a statistically significant difference (P <.05). After a follow‐up of 2‐10 years, CSR was 97.1%, and MBL was 0.64 ± 0.50 mm. Conclusions: The long‐term outcome of reentry LSFE is predictable and reentry LSFE offers a reliable alternative following complete membrane perforation. Sandblasted, large‐grit, and acid‐etched (SLA) titanium (Ti) with microtopography is currently one of the most widely used implant materials to accelerate osseointegration. Numerous long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been involved in bone remodeling, with their role in osseointegration, and the underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear. Here, microarrays of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) were used to identify differentially expressed lncRNAs during early cell differentiation stages (0–7 days) on SLA Ti and polished Ti surfaces. The function of lncRNAs in the osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs was identified by RNA silencing and overexpression assays. RT‐PCR and Western blot were used to detect RNA and protein expression. Alkaline phosphatase (ALP) protein activity was tested by ALP staining. Altogether, 4112 differentially expressed lncRNAs were identified from day 0 to day 7 on SLA Ti with a novel lncRNA, Prader‐willi region non‐coding RNA 1‐209 (PWRN1‐209) upregulated. We then proved that PWRN1‐209 promoted osteogenic differentiation in hBMSCs by genetic tools. The upregulation of PWRN1‐209 was further confirmed to be related to the surface topography of Ti by comparing SLA Ti and polished Ti. Interestingly, this trend seems to have a certain correlation with the mRNA expression level of integrins (α2, αV, β1, β2) and the phosphorylation of focal adhesion kinase (FAK). Taken together, the lncRNA PWRN1‐209 was upregulated by the SLA microtopography Ti surface, which may regulate osteogenic differentiation of hBMSCs through integrin‐FAK‐ALP signaling. The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID‐19) quickly spread all over China and to more than 20 other countries. Although the virus (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus [SARS‐Cov‐2]) nucleic acid real‐time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test has become the standard method for diagnosis of SARS‐CoV‐2 infection, these real‐time PCR test kits have many limitations. In addition, high false‐negative rates were reported. There is an urgent need for an accurate and rapid test method to quickly identify a large number of infected patients and asymptomatic carriers to prevent virus transmission and assure timely treatment of patients. We have developed a rapid and simple point‐of‐care lateral flow immunoassay that can detect immunoglobulin M (IgM) and IgG antibodies simultaneously against SARS‐CoV‐2 virus in human blood within 15 minutes which can detect patients at different infection stages. With this test kit, we carried out clinical studies to validate its clinical efficacy uses. The clinical detection sensitivity and specificity of this test were measured using blood samples collected from 397 PCR confirmed COVID‐19 patients and 128 negative patients at eight different clinical sites. The overall testing sensitivity was 88.66% and specificity was 90.63%. In addition, we evaluated clinical diagnosis results obtained from different types of venous and fingerstick blood samples. The results indicated great detection consistency among samples from fingerstick blood, serum and plasma of venous blood. The IgM‐IgG combined assay has better utility and sensitivity compared with a single IgM or IgG test. It can be used for the rapid screening of SARS‐CoV‐2 carriers, symptomatic or asymptomatic, in hospitals, clinics, and test laboratories. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Aims: To evaluate the hard and soft tissue alterations of immediately placed and provisionalized implants with or without connective tissue graft (CTG). Materials and Methods: Single unsalvageable maxillary incisors were replaced with immediately placed and provisionalized implants in 42 participants. The patients were randomly assigned to receive simultaneous CTG (test group) and not receive CTG (control group). Digital impression and cone‐beam computed tomography images were obtained before extraction and after 6 months. Mid‐facial gingival margin migrations, soft tissue contour changes and hard tissue remodelling were analysed and compared between the two groups using three‐dimensional superimposition method. Results: Forty participants completed the study. The test group showed significantly less buccal tissue collapse in the area 2–5 mm apical to the gingival margin. In both groups, the mid‐facial gingival margin migrated in an apico‐palatal direction and the socket void, except for a triangular space in the bucco‐coronal region, demonstrated radiographic new bone formation without statistically significant differences. Conclusions: The CTG used with immediate implant placement and provisionalization could compensate for the facial tissue collapse, but it did not benefit maintenance of the mid‐facial gingival margin position during the 6‐month follow‐up. METTL3 is an RNA methyltransferase implicated in the control of cell differentiation and proliferation in embryonic development and cancer. The current study was aimed to explore the function and underlying mechanism of METTL3 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). We evaluated the expression and prognostic significance of METTL3 in 100 HCC cases and TCGA dataset. In HCC cases, both the RNA and protein expression of METTL3 were significantly upregulated and associated with poor prognosis. Gene set enrichment analysis of transcriptional profiles in HCC specimens revealed that METTL3 expression was associated with impaired glucose metabolism and mTOR signal pathway. In Huh‐7 and SMMC‐7721 HCC cells, downregulation of METTL3 by siRNA interference inhibited glycolytic capacity, which was proved by the decreased intracellular glucose uptake and lactate production. In terms of mechanism, we found mTORC1 activity was impaired by downregulation of METTL3, additional silencing of METTL3 cannot further decrease the phosphorylation level of mTORC1 and glycolysis activity in Rapamycin‐treated HCC cells. At last, we observed that downregulation of METTL3 synergizes with the glycolysis inhibitor 2‐deoxyglucose (2‐DG) to inhibit tumor growth in vitro. Our study provided evidence that METTL3 is involved in the regulation of glycolysis activity in HCC, suggesting that suppression of glycolysis via METTL3 inhibition was a potential treating strategy against HCC. A Robin type boundary condition (BC), commonly adopted at stream‐aquifer interface, excludes a term associated with streambed accounting for the effects of streambed storage and width. This study presents two new analytical models for describing confined flow induced by pumping in a stream‐aquifer system. One model considers a single‐zone aquifer and treats the streambed as a lagging Robin BC with a time lag parameter related to the effects. The other considers a two‐zone aquifer consisting of aquifer and streambed zones. A Dirichlet BC for stream water level is specified at the edge of the streambed. The time‐domain solutions of both models are developed to describe spatiotemporal drawdown and temporal stream filtration/depletion rate (SDR). The finite element solutions (FESs) of both models are also built. Results suggest the lag time equals the half of the squared streambed width divided by the streambed hydraulic diffusivity. The effects of streambed width and storage on SDR should be considered when their lumped parameter exceeds 0.1. Neglecting their effects causes 25% difference in SDR when the lumped parameter equals 10. Based on the FESs, the use of the lagging Robin BC takes nearly a tenth of computing time of obtaining accurate steady‐state SDR for the simulation of the two‐zone aquifer. In addition, the present solutions agree to a field SDR experiment conducted by Hunt et al. (2001, https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1745‐6584.2001.tb02310.x). Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the third leading cause of cancer‐associated mortality worldwide, is a major public health problem. Zinc finger protein A20 (A20), an acute phase response gene, is a potent inhibitor of NF‐κB signaling. A20 serves a critical role in liver protection, including limiting inflammation following hepatic injury, stimulating hepatocyte growth, and preventing hepatic ischemia‐reperfusion injury. A20 is also involved in different processes, including tumorigenesis, progression, and metastasis through multiple mechanisms. Accumulated studies have reported the clinical implications and biological relevance of A20 in the development and progression of HCC. The underlying mechanisms of A20 in HCC include inhibition of epithelial–mesenchymal transition, protein tyrosine kinase 2 activation and Rac family GTPase 1 activity. Combining liver protection with tumor inhibition is a unique advantage of A20, which has the potential to be a novel treatment for promoting liver regeneration following liver resection in patients with HCC with liver cirrhosis. Objectives: To compare the three‐dimensional changes in quantity and morphology following clinical adjustment of a posterior single implant crown between chairside digital workflow (test) and hybrid digital workflow (control). Materials and Methods: A total of 33 participants were included for single‐tooth replacement with screw‐retained crowns in posterior sites of either the maxillary or mandible. A total of 17 participants were carried to a chairside digital workflow, receiving monolithic lithium disilicate (LS2)‐crowns (test), while the remaining 16 participants were fitted with CAD/CAM‐fabricated zirconia superstructures and hand‐layered ceramic veneering crowns (control). As each crown underwent intraoral scanning (3Shape TRIOS Color, 3Shape), 3D digital models were rendered. These scans were taken both before and after try‐in. Clinical adjustment dimensional changes were measured by superimposing the optical scans of models within a reverse software (Geomagic Control 2014). Adjustment counts and amounts (from vertical dimension) between two workflows were assessed and compared. Time consumption was recorded for efficiency analysis. Results: All patients were successfully treated in both groups. The median maximum vertical adjustment (taking both occlusal and interproximal surfaces into consideration) was 237 μm ± 112 in the test group and 485 μm ± 195 in the control group (p < .0001), respectively. The median adjustment count was 2.00 ± 1.09 in test group and 3.00 ± 1.05 in control group (p = .001), respectively. The total active working time/ total time for two workflows was 92.3/113.7 min for the test group and 146.3/676.3 min for the control group, respectively. Conclusion: The test group showed fewer adjustments and apparent precision on the occlusal surface compared with the control group with only a fifth of the consumption of a hybrid workflow. In the past, the analytical model developed for a radially divergent heat flow in an aquifer thermal energy storage (ATES) system considers only the process of either thermal conduction or thermal dispersion. In addition, the existing models commonly regarded the inner boundary at the injection well as the constant‐temperature condition, which does not meet the continuity condition of heat flux at the wellbore. We herein propose an analytical model for a realistic representation of heat flow in an ATES system by considering the effects of both thermal conduction and thermal dispersion in the heat transfer equation and a Robin‐type boundary condition at the injection well. The model consists of three heat flow equations depicting the temperature distributions in the confined aquifer and its underlying and overlying rocks. The Laplace transform method is applied to solve the proposed model. The solutions for the cases of dispersion‐ and conduction‐dominant flow fields are also developed and discussed. Comparisons between the present solutions with five existing solutions developed for similar heated water injection problems are made. A global sensitivity method is also performed to analyze the thermal response to the change in each of the aquifer parameters. Finally, our solution is validated through the comparison with the finite difference solution and observed data from an ATES experiment site in Mobile, Alabama. A series of readily available 2‐(2‐oxoindolin‐3‐yl)malononitriles bearing multiple active sites were first used in asymmetric catalytic synthesis, which have been successfully applied to develop a bifunctional squaramide‐catalyzed cascade Michael/cyclization reaction strategy. Various cyclopentene‐bispirooxindoles with three continuous stereocenters, two of which are quaternary spiro‐stereocenters, were constructed in good yields with excellent stereoselectivities (up to >20:1 dr, >99% ee). Background: Complete digital workflow attracts more attention in implant dentistry. Objectives: To explore the feasibility and short‐term clinical results of immediate loading of multiple implants with fixed temporary bridges (2‐4 teeth span) by complete digital workflow, and to evaluate the three‐dimensional (3D) deviation of digital impression comparing with traditional impression method. Material and Methods: A total of 31 partial edentulous patients (16 females and 15 males) were recruited in this study. Digital impressions were taken immediately after implant placement, and implant‐supported splinted temporary bridges were fabricated through a full digital approach (model free) and delivered within 24 hours. Final restorations were finished 4 months after surgery via traditional impression technique. Subjects were followed 1 year after treatment. 3D impression deviations were analyzed by comparing the digital and conventional impression methods. Time costs for the full digital approach were recorded. Implant survival rate, marginal bone levels were evaluated. Results: All the recruited subjects finished this study. Seventy‐four implants were surgically placed and immediately loaded with 34 temporary bridges fabricated through a full digital approach. Digital impression deviation compared with traditional impression method was 27.43 ± 13.47 μm. Time costs for chair side and laboratory were 32.55 ± 4.73 and 69.30 ± 10.87 minutes, respectively. Marginal bone alterations were −1.58 mm and −1.69 mm at the time of 4 and 12 months after surgery. The implants had a survival rate of 100% at the 1‐year follow‐up time. Conclusions: Immediate loading of multiple implants in partial edentulous (2‐4 teeth span) patients with full digital approach is clinically applicable. The characteristics of titanium (Ti) have been shown to influence dental implant fixation. Treatment of surfaces using the sandblasted, large‐grit, acid‐etched (SLA) method is widely used to provide effective osseointegration. However, the DNA methylation‐associated mechanism by which SLA surface treatment affects osseointegration of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBMSCs) remains elusive. Genome‐wide methylation profiling of hBMSCs on SLA‐treated and machined smooth Ti was performed using Illumina Infinium Methylation EPIC BeadChip at day 7 of osteogenic induction. In total, 2,846 CpG sites were differentially methylated in the SLA group compared with the machined group. Of these sites, 1,651 (covering 1,066 genes) were significantly hypermethylated and 1,195 (covering 775 genes) were significantly hypomethylated. Thirty significant enrichment pathways were observed, with Wnt signaling being the most significant. mRNA expression was identified by microarray and combined with DNA‐methylation profiles. Thirty‐seven genes displayed negative association between mRNA expression and DNA‐methylation level, with the osteogenesis‐related genes insulin‐like growth factor 2 (IGF2) and carboxypeptidase X, M14 Family Member 2 (CPXM2) showing significant up‐regulation and down‐regulation, respectively. In summary, our results demonstrate differences between SLA‐treated and machined surfaces in their effects on genome‐wide DNA methylation and enrichment of osteogenic pathways in hBMSCs. Background: Soft tissue dynamics in the esthetic zone are gaining increasing attention in recent years. Emerging intraoral scanning technology allows easier capture of soft tissue contours. Purpose: To quantitatively assess the time‐dependent contour alterations of labial soft tissue following single immediate implants and immediate provisionalization (IIPP) in maxillary incisors via intraoral scanning. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective cohort study. Thirty eligible consecutive patients were included and received immediate replacement of a failure maxillary single incisor. A screw‐retained immediate restoration was delivered for each patient. Subsequently, the anterior maxillary region was scanned by an intraoral scanning system at four time points: preoperation (baseline, BL), 3 months (3 m), 6 months (6 m), and 12 months (12 m). The Standard Tessellation Language files were exported to a dedicated software and superimposed for visual analysis. At 3, 6, and 12 months, the mid‐facial mucosa level (ML) was assessed, and the precise three‐dimensional (3D) configuration of the altered volume was calculated and reconstructed for visual analysis. Furthermore, quantitative analysis of the reconstructed morphology was performed using the following parameters: mean change in thickness (△d), mesio‐distal width (w), coronal‐apical height (h), and horizontal and vertical position of the thickest point represented by coordinates (x, z). Result: Twenty‐seven of thirty enrolled patients were finally available for analysis at the 1‐year follow‐up. In general, the frontal view of the reconstructed volume exhibited a crescent shape. The mid‐facial ML change at 3, 6, and 12 months was −0.05 ± 0.36 mm, −0.03 ± 0.32 mm, and −0.24 ± 0.37 mm, respectively (P = .012). The mean change in thickness at 3 months (△d3m), 6 months (△d6m), and 12 months (△d12m) was 0.50 ± 0.19 mm, 0.59 ± 0.21 mm, and 0.62 ± 0.22 mm, respectively (P <.001). At 12 months, nine patients had a △d less than 0.5 mm. The mean △d3 m/△d12 m and △d6 m/△d12 m was 0.81 ± 0.17 and 0.96 ± 0.13. The w, h, x, and z results showed no significant differences during the 1‐year observation (P = .126, P = .324, P = .635, P = .263). At 12 months, w, h, x, and z were 11.57 ± 1.77 mm, 6.46 ± 2.01 mm, 0.03 ± 1.43 mm, and 2.16 ± 0.65 mm, respectively. Conclusion: During the 1‐year observation following single IIPP treatment in maxillary incisors, the labial soft tissue contour showed a continuous alteration resulting in a mean change in thickness of 0.62 mm that occurred mainly in the first 3 months and tended to be relatively stable after 6 months, while the crescent‐like shape, width, height, and thickest point position of the alteration volume remained stable after 3 months.
