Abstract

The article describes the cases of familial thoracic aortic aneyrysms /dissections (FTAAD) characterized by disease-causing heterozygous MYLK gene mutations. Member of the families were subjected to various medical procedures including screening of first-degree relatives, Petticoat examination at the aortic level, and thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR). Genetic mutations linked to aortic disease are described.
