Purpose: In present, the diagnosis of psoriasis is mainly based on the patient's typical clinical manifestations, dermoscopy and skin biopsy, and unlike other immune diseases, psoriasis lacks specific indicators in the blood. Therefore, we are required to search novel biomarkers for the diagnosis of psoriasis. Methods: In this study, we analyzed the composition and the differences of intestinal fungal communities between psoriasis patients and healthy individuals in order to find the intestinal fungal communities associated with the diagnosis of psoriasis. We built a machine learning model and identified potential microbial markers for the diagnosis of psoriasis. Results: The results of AUROC (area under ROC) showed that Aspergillus puulaauensis (AUROC = 0.779), Kazachstania africana (AUROC = 0.750) and Torulaspora delbrueckii (AUROC = 0.745) had high predictive ability (AUROC > 0.7) for predicting psoriasis, While Fusarium keratoplasticum (AUROC = 0.670) was relatively lower (AUROC < 0.7). Conclusion: The strategy based on the prediction of intestinal fungal communities provides a new idea for the diagnosis of psoriasis and is expected to become an auxiliary diagnostic method for psoriasis. To address the increasing demand for high microwave‐absorbing performance, new polarization‐response wave‐absorbing metamaterials are developed herein inspired by the microstructure of locust compound eyes by employing bionics and optimization principles. The materials overcome a common limitation of wave‐absorbing metamaterials, wherein the performance substantially decreases with changes in the polarization mode, enabling the broadband absorption for x and y polarizations. The designed bioinspired materials have various shapes of structural units, triggering a multifrequency point response mechanism that effectively improves the wave‐absorbing performance. Experimental and simulation results show that the designed materials can form different equivalent circuits based on structural and polarization differences, influencing the overall wave‐absorbing performance. They exhibit an effective absorption bandwidth of ≈12 GHz (reflection loss < −10 dB) for x or y polarizations at a thickness of 2 mm. Antibacterial polyvinyl chloride (PVC) materials have drawn considerable attention since their wide application in medical devices. The objective of this study is to develop a novel quaternary ammonium cationic vinyl chloride copolymer, which can be potentially used as antibacterial additive in PVC matrix. Initially, the low average‐number molecular weight poly[(vinyl chloride)‐co‐(vinyl chloroacetate)] (PVC‐co‐PVCA) is synthesized by precipitation copolymerization. Subsequently, quaternary ammonium cationic moieties with different lengths of alkyl chains are introduced into the copolymers via quaternization reaction between alkyl‐dimethyl tertiary amines with acyl chloride groups. The successful synthesis of PVC‐co‐PVCA and quaternarized copolymers are carefully confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR), and x‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The antibacterial behaviors of the quaternarized copolymers and its blends with PVC are investigated. The results reveal that all the PVC blends containing at least 5% by weight of quaternarized copolymer have superior bacteriostasis ratio (>99.6%) against both Escherichia coli (E.coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) due to the incorporation of quaternary ammonium groups. Meanwhile, the cationic copolymer exhibits excellent antifouling and much lower migration rate (<0.4%). Aims: To examine the factors influencing compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses and to explore the combined results of multiple factors. Design: An online cross‐sectional study was conducted. Review Methods: Data were collected from 311 nurses using a convenience sampling method from January to February 2022. Stepwise multiple linear regression analysis and mediation tests were performed. Results: Compassion fatigue in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses was in the moderate to high levels. Physical status, number of children, emotional labour, lack of professional efficacy, emotional exhaustion and the none‐only‐child can influence compassion fatigue; lack of professional efficacy, cynicism, social support, work experience, employment status and night shift were predictive of compassion satisfaction. Social support partially mediated between lack of professional efficacy and compassion fatigue/compassion satisfaction; emotional labour moderated in the mediated analysis model. Conclusion: Moderate to high levels of compassion fatigue was present in 75.88% of obstetrics and gynaecology nurses. Some factors affect compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. Thus, nursing managers should consider factors and construct a monitoring system to reduce compassion fatigue and improve compassion satisfaction. Implications for the Profession: The results will provide a theoretical basis for improving job satisfaction and the quality of care in obstetrics and gynaecology nurses. And this may raise concerns about the occupational health of obstetrics and gynaecology nurses in China. Reporting Method: The study was reported according to the STROBE. Background: The cardiodynamicsgram (CDG), a novel noninvasive method, extracts dynamic ST‐T segment information from an electrocardiogram (ECG) through deterministic learning. Hypothesis: The CDG can reflect anomalous functional information in coronary artery disease (CAD). Methods: We retrospectively enrolled 456 patients with suspected CAD who underwent coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) from January 2020 to 2022, followed immediately by standard 12‐lead ECG acquisition. Positivity for CAD were defined as CCTA ≥ 50% or CT‐derived fractional flow reserve (CT‐FFR) ≤ 0.8. A CDG value <0 was considered negative; otherwise, it was considered positive. We also evaluated the diagnostic performance of the CDG in the ECG‐diagnosis‐negative subgroup and in patients who had undergone invasive coronary angiography (ICA) after CCTA. Results: Of 362 patients, 168 (46.41%) were positive for CAD, and 178 (49.17%) were men. The median age was 59 (52−66) years. The accuracy of the CDG in the diagnosis of CAD was 79.56%, with a sensitivity, specificity, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) of 75.60%, 82.99%, and 0.836 (95% CI: 0.794−0.878), respectively. Similarly, in the ECG‐diagnosis–negative subgroup (n = 223), the accuracy of the CDG was 80.27%, with an AUC of 0.842 (95% CI: 0.790−0.895). Among the 11 patients with CAD confirmed by ICA, 10 were diagnosed positive by the CDG. Furthermore, the CDG values and CT‐FFR were correlated (r = −.395; p <.001). Conclusions: The ECG‐based CDG has relatively high specificity and accuracy for the diagnosis of CAD and reflects functional cardiac information to some extent. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), which are synthesized through the self‐assembly of organic ligands and inorganic metals, have drawn considerable research interest owing to their unique properties and attractive structures. Many studies on various MOF derivatives, such as MOFs and cellulose aerogels, hydrogel composite materials, and bimetallic‐centered MOF materials, have provided the potential for wide application of MOFs. However, MOFs mostly exist in the form of powder particles, which are difficult to form. In addition, MOFs have problems with structural instability. MOF‐based gels can overcome this problem. MOF‐based gels also have significant advantages in secondary processing. In this review, synthetic methods for MOF‐based gels, particularly the synergistic effect with other materials, are introduced. The applications of MOF‐based hydrogels and aerogels in supercapacitors, water treatment, catalysis, adsorption, and energy storage are also discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The next generation of green electronic products will be flexible, eco‐friendly, have arbitrary patterning, and be produced using simple methods. Here, a silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs)–graphite carbon composite‐based electrochemical sensor is patterned on a flexible substrate by one‐step in situ femtosecond (fs) laser fabrication. Alkali lignin is used as a precursor and nontoxic natural reducing agent to reduce aqueous silver nitrate to produce Ag NPs. The fs laser carbonization process converts lignin into graphite carbon electrodes with diverse three‐dimensional (3D) micro/nano morphologies, causing less thermal damage to the Ag NPs and thin substrate. The 3D micro/nano morphologies combined with Ag NPs effectively increase the active surface area, conductivity, and catalytic activity of the electrode, which is further applied as an electrochemical sensor. This sensor has a wide linear detection range of nitrite from 1–4000 × 10−6 m, a detection limit of 0.117 × 10−6 m (S/N = 3), and long lifetime of 30 days. The sensor also has the potential to detect dopamine (DA). A detection limit of 0.098 × 10−6 m (S/N = 3) is obtained, with a linear detection range of 1–45 × 10−6 m. Sand production is a crucial geotechnical issue for safe and efficient gas recovery from natural gas hydrate (NGH) reservoirs. Although the same gas production method of depressurization was chosen for the production trials in the Nankai Trough and the Northern South China Sea, their sand production behaviors differed greatly due to the skeleton diversity of sand in the Nankai Trough and clayey‐silt in the Northern South China Sea, which resulted in different sand control and sand production characteristics. In this study, we conducted experiments to compare sediment responses and sand production behaviors from these two typical gas hydrate‐bearing sediments (GHBSs) before, during, and after hydrate dissociation under depressurization. The results reveal the fluid and sand production rates in both GHBSs are relatively low before and after hydrate dissociation. However, the sand production rate in sandy GHBS keeps stable at a relatively high value during the whole hydrate dissociation period, accompanied by a high fluid production rate and continuous sample subsidence. In contrast, the fluid and sand production rates are proved to be high only at the early stages of hydrate dissociation in clayey‐silty GHBS with sand production decreasing obviously afterward, and the sample subsidence rate exponentially decay until the ultimate subsidence is reached. After experiments, two kinds of particle plugging phenomena, sand bridge and mud cake, are found to form outside sand screens in sandy and clayey‐silty GHBSs, respectively. Differences in permeability, particle migration, and plugging characteristics are thought to be the main inducement of the variability in sand production behaviors in different GHBS types. These findings indicate that sand‐production control strategies should obey geological engineering integration and differ according to the GHBS type. Specifically, we should concern sand production risk in sandy GHBS during and after hydrate dissociation, whereas more attention should be paid to the early stages of hydrate dissociation in clayey‐silty GHBS. Class 1 hydrate reservoirs are regarded as the most promising targets for gas production. Previous investigations in the northern South China Sea have proven that the low‐permeability hydrate reservoir at site GMGS3‐W19 is a Class 1 hydrate deposit. However, the dynamic production behaviors of this type of reservoir are not yet fully understood. Here, we report gas recovery from hydrate reservoirs containing underlying free gas layers with different initial gas saturations and investigate the effects of absolute permeability and depressurization pressure on gas production performance. The results show that high initial gas saturation of the underlying free gas layer and low bottom‐hole pressure are advantageous for enhancing the gas production performance. The effects of absolute anisotropic permeability and isotropic permeability on gas recovery from Class 1 hydrate reservoirs are different. For long‐term gas production from this hydrate reservoir with any initial gas saturation, a higher horizontal permeability (permeability anisotropy more than 10) in the hydrate layer is remarkably beneficial to stimulate gas extraction and decrease the amount of produced water replenished by inflows from permeable overlying and underlying sediments. Moreover, the gas production rate is highly consistent with the hydrate dissociation ratio, one of the main factors affecting the gas production performance, in Class 1 hydrate reservoirs with different permeabilities. However, for this type of hydrate reservoir with permeability anisotropy larger than 5, the larger the horizontal permeability in the hydrate layer can form more secondary hydrates. The increment in secondary hydrate formation negatively influences the hydrate dissociation ratio and gas recovery. Thus, it is also significant to weigh the permeability anisotropy of the hydrate layer and the secondary hydrate formation amount during the production progress. The permeability anisotropy (ie, horizontal, kr, to vertical, kz, permeability ratio) of gas hydrate reservoirs may be a significant factor that affects hydrate dissociation and gas production. Here, site SH2, a candidate for field testing comprising a clayey silt gas hydrate reservoir in the Shenhu area in the South China Sea, was chosen to investigate the effect of permeability anisotropy on gas production behavior through numerical simulations. The spatial distribution of physical fields (ie, pressure, temperature, and saturation) and the evolution of gas and water recovery are comparatively analyzed. The simulation results show that permeability anisotropy has a significant impact on gas extraction, especially when the horizontal permeability is higher than the vertical one. The sensitivity analyses indicate that permeability anisotropy in both medium‐permeability (10‐100 mD) and low‐permeability (1‐10 mD) sediments are conducive to hydrate dissociation and that a higher horizontal permeability is more favorable for gas production. Comparatively, permeability anisotropy in low‐permeability sediments is not beneficial for improving production efficiency. In addition, our work also suggests that heterogeneous hydrate saturation in a reservoir‐scale model should be employed in future predictions because the gas production potential will be overestimated in a homogeneous reservoir under the same conditions. These findings contribute to a clear understanding of the influence of reservoir properties on gas hydrate dissociation processes and provide a reference for future field trials and commercial production. The process of extracting natural gas from gas hydrate‐bearing sediments (GHBS) may yield significant sand influx due to the metastable nature of GHBS. Selecting appropriate sand control media is vital to addressing the challenges caused by excessive sand production. This study proposes a protocol called holding coarse expelling fine particles (HCEFP) for sand control design. The protocol aims to provide a new optimization method for screen mesh size selection for clayey silt hydrate reservoirs. Detailed optimizing procedures of proper candidate screen mesh sizes in hydrate exploitation well in clayey silt hydrate reservoirs are depicted based on the HCEFP. Then, the site W18, which is located in the Shenhu area of the northern South China Sea, is taken as an example to illustrate the optimization procedure for screen mesh size selection. The results reveal that complete solid retention via a standalone screen is rarely beneficial as high clay contents can adversely affect wellbore productivity due to excessive plugging. Screen aperture size selection for clayey silt hydrate wells should strike a balance between retaining coarser particles and avoiding screen blockage by the relatively fine particles. Furthermore, longitudinal heterogeneity of the PSDs also increases the difficulties associated with sand control design. Multistage sand control optimization is necessary in hydrate production wells. Adrenergic receptors (ARs) have gained attention for their involvement in breast cancer (BC) progression. Dexmedetomidine, a selective α2‐AR agonist, has been reported to increase the malignancy of BC cells in vitro or stimulate tumor growth in mice. However, clinical evidence is lacking. Clinical research in this area is important as dexmedetomidine is widely used in BC surgery patients. Here we allocated 24 women with primary BC to the dexmedetomidine group (who received a total dose of 2 μg kg−1 dexmedetomidine perioperatively) or to the control group (who received the same volume of normal saline). Venous blood was obtained from all patients immediately upon entering the operating room and 24 hours postoperatively. Serum was then exposed to MCF‐7 cells at a concentration of 10% for 24 hours. Cell proliferation, migration, and invasion were analyzed using EdU, Transwell, and Matrigel methods, respectively. We found that postoperative serum from those who received dexmedetomidine was associated with significantly increased cell proliferation, migration, and invasion compared with preoperative serum when used to culture MCF‐7 cells. The mean percentage change from post to preoperative values in these cell functions was significantly larger in the dexmedetomidine group than in the control group (proliferation, 30.44% vs 8.45%, P =.0024; migration, 15.90% vs 3.25%, P =.0015; invasion, 8.17% vs 2.13%, P =.04). In conclusion, these findings suggest that in patients undergoing surgery for primary BC, perioperative administration of dexmedetomidine might influence the serum milieu in a way that favors the malignancy of MCF‐7 cells. Background and Purpose: Tanshinol borneol ester (DBZ) is a novel synthetic compound derived from Dantonic® , a botanical drug approved in 26 countries outside the United States for angina pectoris and currently undergoing FDA Phase III clinical trial. Here, we investigated the angiogenic effects of (S)-DBZ and (R)-DBZ isomers in vitro and in vivo.Experimental Approach: A network pharmacology approach was used to predict molecular targets of DBZ. The effects of DBZ isomers on proliferation, migration, and tube formation of human endothelial cells were assessed. For in vivo approaches, the transgenic Tg (vegfr2:GFP) zebrafish and C57BL/6 mouse Matrigel plug models were used. ELISA and western blots were used to quantitate the release and expression of relevant target molecules and signalling pathways.Key Results: DBZ produced a biphasic modulation on proliferation and migration of three types of human endothelial cells. Both DBZ isomers induced tube formation in Matrigel assay and a 12-day co-culture model in vitro. Moreover, DBZ promoted Matrigel neovascularization in mice and partially reversed the vascular disruption in zebrafish induced by PTK787. Mechanistically, DBZ enhanced the cellular levels of VEGF, VEGFR2, and MMP-9, as well as activating Akt and MAPK signalling in endothelial cells. Selective inhibition of PI3K and MEK significantly attenuated its angiogenic effects.Conclusions and Implications: These data reveal, for the first time, that DBZ promotes multiple key steps of angiogenesis, at least in part through Akt and MAPK signalling pathways, and suggest it may be potentially developed further for treating myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases. The low permeability of silty hydrate reservoirs in the South China Sea is a critical issue that threatens safe, efficient, and long‐term gas production from these reservoirs. Hydraulic fracturing is a potentially promising stimulation technology for such low‐permeability reservoirs. Here, we assess the gas production potential of a depressurization horizontal well that is assisted by the hydraulic fracturing using numerical simulation according to field data at site SH2 in this area. In addition, the number of horizontal wells drilled is discussed if commercial production is to be performed at this site. The results show that the production potential can be significantly stimulated at the early production stage by adopting hydraulic fracturing in this reservoir due to a better depressurization effect. However, the increase in gas recovery gradually decreases with the continuous dissociation of gas hydrates, and the evolution trend is similar to that in a reservoir without stimulation during later periods of gas production because the dissociation front gradually moves away from the fractures. From the perspective of production potential, using a horizontal well scheme assisted by the hydraulic fracturing technology for gas recovery from a hydrate deposit can sharply reduce the number of operation wells, shorten the drilling operation time, and boost the economic efficiency. The horizontal well scheme may be an effective way to increase the gas yield if the application of quickly deployed horizontal wells and hydraulic fracturing techniques in such hydrate reservoirs greatly increases in the near future.
