Abstract

The article discusses a study which describes the response rates in dogs with idiopathic epilepsy (IE) to anti-epileptic drugs (AEDs). Topics include the data collected on dogs treated at the Royal Veterinary College Small Animal Referral Hospital (RVC SARH) between 2005 and 2011, the cluster seizures and status epilepticus experienced by dogs, and phenobarbital (PB) which is the common used first-line AED.
