Summary: Cracks can develop in high‐rise buildings because of long‐term environmental changes and extreme loading events such as strong winds or earthquakes. Although deep learning‐based identification methods can efficiently identify cracks, the accuracy of crack identification in high‐rise buildings needs to be improved due to the lack of crack datasets specifically related to high‐rise structures. Moreover, the number of available images of cracks in high‐rise is limited. To this end, this paper establishes an intelligent crack identification method based on a photorealistic synthetic modeling technique. First, a computer graphics (CG) model of a high‐rise building with assumed damage is constructed. Subsequently, the CG model is utilized to generate a dataset that includes photorealistic images of the high‐rise building as well as corresponding labels for various components and types of damage. The generated dataset is then used to train a DeepLabv3 + neural network for structural component and damage identification, followed by validation by employing images of both synthetic and full‐scale high‐rise buildings. The trained network can accurately identify different components in images of the full‐scale, high‐rise building and identify cracks that are intentionally synthesized in those images. The results show that the synthetic dataset generated by the CG model not only allows for fast and efficient labeling for the purpose of neural network training but also outperforms methods that do not consider any application‐specific context in crack identification. Background: Congenital lumbar facet joint defect is a rare congenital developmental disorder with only a few reported cases in the literature, primarily affecting the L5‐S1 segments. This study reports the first case of a defect in the left L3 inferior articular process; and presents a review of the existing literature on the subject, proposes a classification system, and validates the inter‐observer and intra‐observer reliability of this classification system. Case Presentation: A 14‐year‐old boy presented to our orthopedic clinic with persistent lower back pain for 1 month. Imaging analysis, including CT scans, 3D reconstruction, and MRI, revealed a congenital lumbar facet joint defect at the L3 level, which has not been reported. Conservative treatment resulted in a significant improvement in his symptoms, and he is currently under follow‐up care. Conclusion: Congenital defect of the lumbar facet joint is a rare spinal condition. This article reports the first patient with a defect in the left L3 inferior articular process and conducts a comprehensive literature review, proposing a classification of articular process defects into five types. Lithium argyrodite solid electrolytes have attracted ever‐increasing attention for all‐solid‐state batteries due to their high ionic conductivity and low cost. However, the relation between structure and ionic transport for the halogen‐rich lithium argyrodites under different synthesis routes is still elusive. Herein, the influence of synthesis procedures, such as annealing conditions and balling milling, on the structure, ionic conductivity, and activation energy of the lithium argyrodite (e.g., Li5.5PS4.5Cl1.5, Li5.3PS4.3Cl1.7), is systematically investigated. Compared with high‐energy ball milling followed by annealing, using fast dry mixing followed by annealing can obtain comparable ionic conductivity of the chlorine‐rich lithium argyrodites. Single‐crystal LiNi0.83Co0.11Mn0.06O2‐based solid‐state battery with these electrolytes shows stable cycling performance, demonstrating that chlorine‐rich lithium argyrodite is a promising candidate for all‐solid‐state batteries. Solid oxide electrolysis cells are prospective approaches for CO2 utilization but face significant challenges due to the sluggish reaction kinetics and poor stability of the fuel electrodes. Herein, we strategically addressed the long‐standing trade‐off phenomenon between enhanced exsolution and improved structural stability via topotactic ion exchange. The surface dynamic reconstruction of the MnOx/La0.7Sr0.3Cr0.9Ir0.1O3−δ (LSCIr) catalyst was visualized at the atomic scale. Compared with the Ir@LSCIr interface, the in situ self‐assembled Ir@MnOx/LSCIr interface exhibited greater CO2 activation and easily removable carbonate intermediates, thus reached a 42 % improvement in CO2 electrolysis performance at 1.6 V. Furthermore, an improved CO2 electrolysis stability was achieved due to the uniformly wrapped MnOx shell of the Ir@MnOx/LSCIr cathode. Our approach enables a detailed understanding of the dynamic microstructure evolution at active interfaces and provides a roadmap for the rational design and evaluation of efficient metal/oxide catalysts for CO2 electrolysis. Recently, Ni‐based chalcogenides havedemonstrated remarkable activity and selectivity for alcohol electrooxidation, but the mechanisms remain debated. This study synthesizes Ni‐based electrodeswith different chalcogen anion coordination on nickel nanorod arrays (NiOx/Ni,NiSx/Ni, and NiSex/Ni NRAs). NiSex/Ni NRAsshowcases superior performance (Faradaic efficiency 92.9%) in glycerolelectrooxidation reaction (GOR). In situ spectroscopy reveals that NiSecoordination inhibits deep oxidative reconstruction of the Ni‐based interface, preventingNiOOH phase formation during GOR, enhancing activity and stability of NiSex/NiNRAs. Conversely, NiS and NiO coordination lead to deep reconstruction with NiOOHphase formation, limiting GOR performance. Differently, during competingreaction of GOR, the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) leads to deepreconstruction of NiSex interface due to the instability of Ni‐Sebonds, inducing performance degradation and dissolution of Se components. Furthermechanism investigation elucidates that the rate‐determining step (RDS) ofGOR at the NiSex interface involves oxidation of *C2H3O3 intermediatesthrough H2O adsorption, favoring stable formate production.Contrarily, the RDS at the NiSx, NiOx, and NiOOHinterfaces predominantly focus on the decarboxylation of multi‐carbon intermediates, raisingenergy barriers and over‐oxidizing formate to CO2. As more and more ancient sites are discovered around the world, protecting them in situ has become a challenge due to issues such as ground settlement and masonry wall leaks caused by groundwater fluctuation or rainfall. In this study, laboratory tests, borehole tests and field high‐density resistivity detections are conducted to obtain information for numerical modelling, including design parameters. A complex three‐dimensional hydrological–mechanical coupling model is then established to investigate ground settlement and wall deformation caused by groundwater fluctuation and rainfall. The seepage simulation results for the initial state are accurately verified by high‐density resistivity imaging. Both measured data and numerical results indicate that changes in a single water head point mainly result in wall settlement. The pattern of wall deformation changes from settlement to lateral deformation with an increase in the drawdown rate of groundwater level. Furthermore, delayed rainfall and high‐intensity rainfall can increase foundation settlement and wall deformation. Settlement deformation determines the upper limit of the global deformation when wall nodes are mainly affected. In contrast, if lateral spreading dominates wall deformation, it determines the lower limit of the global deformation. The simultaneous detection of multiple stimuli, such as pressure and temperature, has long been a persistent challenge for developing electronic skin (e‐skin) to emulate the functionality of human skin. Meanwhile, the demand for integrated power supply units is an additional pressing concern to achieve its lightweightness and flexibility. Herein, we propose a self‐powered dual temperature–pressure (SPDM) sensor, which utilizes a compressible ionic gel electrolyte driven by the potential difference between MXene and Al electrodes. The SPDM sensor exhibits a rapid and timely response to changes in pressure‐induced deformation, while exhibiting a slow and hysteretic response to temperature variations. These distinct response characteristics enable the differentiation of current signals generated by different stimuli through machine learning, resulting in an impressive accuracy rate of 99.1%. Furthermore, the developed SPDM sensor exhibits a wide pressure detection range of 0–800 kPa and a broad temperature detection range of 5–75°C, encompassing the environmental conditions encountered in daily human life. The dual‐mode coupled strategy by machine learning provides an effective approach for temperature and pressure detection and discrimination, showcasing its potential applications in wearable electronics, intelligent robots, human–machine interactions, and so on. In recent years, there have been a number of studies where hesperidin was administered to modify arterial blood pressure, but the conclusions of each study are contradictory. In order to investigate the effect of hesperidin on blood pressure, we searched the CNKI, Wanfang Database, the VIP database, Sinomed database, Pubmed, Embase and The Cochrane Library databases, and searched the literature on hesperidin and blood pressure published in Chinese and English journals, mainly focusing on patients' systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure. The search time frame was from the inception of the databases until December 2023. The Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) approach was used to assess the overall quality and used Cohen's kappa coefficient (κ) to measure agreement. We did preliminary screening of the retrieved literature through Notexpress, 14 articles with a total of 656 patients were included. Cochrance data conversion tool was used for data conversion, and RevMan 5.3 was used for meta‐analysis, and finally Stata was used to make the Egger's test for the included study. The results of total population blood pressure showed that hesperidin had no antihypertensive effect on the population, but the conclusions changed when the population was divided into groups. The results of different populations showed that hesperidin had no effect on systolic blood pressure (weighted mean difference [WMD] = −0.50, 95% CI: −3.25 ~ 2.26, Z = 0.35, p = 0.72) and diastolic blood pressure (WMD = −0.51, 95% CI: −2.53 ~ 1.51, Z = 0.50, p = 0.62) in healthy individuals. However, hesperidin reduced systolic blood pressure in patients with type 2 diabetes (WMD = −4.32, 95% CI: − 7.77 ~ − 0.87, Z = 2.45, p = 0.01), and had a tendency to reduce diastolic blood pressure in diabetic patients (WMD = −3.72, 95% CI: −7.63 ~ 0.18, Z = 1.87, p = 0.06). Ceramic ion conductors play a pivotal role as electrolytes in solid‐state batteries (SSBs). Aside from the ionic conductivity, their (electro)chemical stability has a profound effect on the performance. Lithium thiophosphates represent a widely used class of superionic materials, yet they suffer from limited stability and are known to undergo interfacial degradation upon battery cycling. Knowledge of composition‐dependent properties is essential to improving upon the stability of thiophosphate solid electrolytes (SEs). In recent years, compositionally complex (multicomponent) and high‐entropy lithium argyrodite SEs have been reported, having room‐temperature ionic conductivities of σion>10 mS cm−1. In this work, various multi‐cationic and ‐anionic substituted argyrodite SEs are electrochemically tested via cyclic voltammetry and impedance spectroscopy, as well as under operating conditions in SSB cells with layered Ni‐rich oxide cathode and indium‐lithium anode. Cation substitution is found to negatively affect the electrochemical stability, while anion substitution (introducing Cl−/Br− and increasing halide content) has a beneficial effect on the cyclability, especially at high current rates. The stay cable is susceptible to external loads resulting in vibration. Aiming at the large variation of vibration amplitude of stay cable, a damping structured triboelectric nanogenerator (DS‐TENG) for stay cables vibration energy graded harvesting is proposed. The DS‐TENG can not only achieve the graded harvesting of vibration energy, but also provide adjustable additional damping for the cable by utilizing the friction force generated by the wavy center pole and the moving block. With a vibration magnitude of 24 mm as the limit, the DS‐TENG is divided into two order states. The experimental results suggest that the output of the DS‐TENG is 250 V and 42 μA of unit I, and 440 V and 110 μA of unit II. Application demonstration experiments show that the DS‐TENG can power a thermohygrometer and can generate a maximum additional damping force of 91.8 N. In the second‐order state, the DS‐TENG illuminates twice as many light‐emitting diodes as it does in the first‐order state. And experiments demonstrate the ability of the DS‐TENG to operate in harsh environments such as bridges. Objective: This Bayesian network meta‐analysis was performed to analyze the associations between clinicopathological characteristics and BRAF mutations in ameloblastoma (AM) patients and to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy. Materials and Methods: Four electronic databases were searched from 2010 to 2024. The search terms used were specific to BRAF and AM. Observational studies or randomized controlled trials were considered eligible. The incidence of BRAF mutation and corresponding clinicopathological features in AM patients were subjected to Bayesian network analyses and diagnostic accuracy evaluation. Results: A total of 937 AM patients from 20 studies were included. The pooled prevalence of BRAF mutations in AM patients was 72%. According to the Bayesian network analysis, BRAF mutations are more likely to occur in younger (odds ratio [OR], 2.3; credible interval [CrI]: 1.2–4.5), mandible site (OR, 3.6; 95% CrI: 2.7–5.2), and unicystic (OR, 1.6; 95% CrI: 1.1–2.4) AM patients. Similarly, higher diagnostic accuracy was found in the younger, mandible, and unicystic AM groups. Conclusions: The incidence, risk, and diagnostic accuracy of BRAF mutation in AM were greater in younger patients, those with mandible involvement, and those with unicystic AM than in patients with other clinicopathological features. Graphite is considered to be the most auspicious anode candidate for potassium ion batteries. However, the inferior rate performances and cycling stability restrict its practical applications. Few studies have investigated the modulating the graphitization degree of graphitic materials. Herein, a nitrogen‐doped carbon‐coated carbon fiber composite with tunable graphitization (CNF@NC) through etching growth, in‐situ oxidative polymerization, and subsequent carbonization process is reported. The prepared CNF@NC with abundant electrochemical active sites and a rapid K+/electron transfer pathway, can effectively shorten the K+ transfer distance and promote the rapid insertion/removal of K+. Amorphous domains and short‐range curved graphite layers can provide ample mitigation spaces for K+ storage, alleviating the volume expansion of the highly graphitized CNF during repeated K+ insertion/de‐intercalation. As expected, the CNF@NC‐5 electrode presents a high initial coulombic efficiency (ICE) of 69.3%, an unprecedented reversible volumetric capacity of 510.2 mA h cm−3 at 0.1 A g−1 after 100 cycles with the mass‐capacity of 294.9 mA h g−1. The K+ storage mechanism and reaction kinetic analysis are studied by combining in‐situ analysis and first‐principles calculation. It manifests that the K+ storage mechanism in CNF@NC‐5 is an adsorption‐insertion‐insertion mechanism (i.e., the "1+2" model). The solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) film forming is also detected. This article explores the role of Polo-like kinase 1 (PLK1) in tumorigenesis, specifically in colorectal cancer (CRC) and lung cancer. The study analyzes the mutational landscape of PLK1 and concomitant mutations in these cancers. The findings suggest that PLK1 may have tumor-suppressor features and caution should be exercised when using PLK1 inhibitors. The study also identifies different mutation subtypes of PLK1 and their associations with other genetic abnormalities in CRC. However, the study has limitations, such as missing information on cancer stage and treatment data, and further research is needed to validate the findings. [Extracted from the article]

This article discusses a study on double expressor lymphoma (DEL) subtypes and the therapeutic mechanism of epigenetic agents. The study identified three subtypes of DEL with unique characteristics and found that DEL had an inferior survival compared to double negative lymphoma (DNL). The subtypes of DEL were associated with different cell-of-origin and genetic classifications. The study also analyzed the effects of tucidinostat and doxorubicin treatment on different oncogenic transcriptional factors and signaling networks in these subtypes. The results showed distinct molecular heterogeneity and a complex tumor microenvironment in DEL, which contribute to resistance to standard treatment. However, tucidinostat plus doxorubicin demonstrated broad-spectrum sensitivity in vitro and in vivo. The study provides insights for optimizing current treatment paradigms in DEL. Objective: Given the distinct physiological and societal traits between women and men, we propose that there are distinct risk factors for lumbar degenerative disc disease surgeries, including lumbar disc herniation (LDH) and lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS), in middle‐aged and older populations. However, few studies have focused on middle‐aged and older women. This study aims to identify these risk factors specifically in this population. Methods: In this case–control study, the study group comprised 1202 women aged ≥ 45 years who underwent operative treatment of lumbar degenerative disc disease (LDH, n = 825; LSS, n = 377), and the control group comprised 1168 women without lumbar disease who visited a health examination clinic during the same period. The study factors included demographics (age, body mass index [BMI], smoking, labor intensity, and genetic history), female‐specific factors (menopausal status, number of deliveries, cesarean section, and simple hysterectomy), surgical history (number of abdominal surgeries, hip joint surgery, knee joint surgery, and thyroidectomy), and systemic diseases (hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia, hyper‐low‐density lipoprotein cholesterolemia, hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cerebrovascular disease). Multivariate binary logistic regression analysis was used to calculate the odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95% CI) of associated factors. Results: The risk factors for surgical treatment of LDH in middle‐aged and older women included BMI (OR = 1.603), labor intensity (OR = 1.189), genetic history (OR = 2.212), number of deliveries (OR = 1.736), simple hysterectomy (OR = 2.511), hypertriglyceridemia (OR = 1.932), and hyper‐low‐density lipoprotein cholesterolemia (OR = 2.662). For surgical treatment of LSS, the risk factors were age (OR = 1.889), BMI (OR = 1.671), genetic history (OR = 2.134), number of deliveries (OR = 2.962), simple hysterectomy (OR = 1.968), knee joint surgery (OR = 2.527), hypertriglyceridemia (OR = 1.476), hyper‐low‐density lipoprotein cholesterolemia (OR = 2.413), and diabetes (OR = 1.643). Cerebrovascular disease was a protective factor against surgery for LDH (OR = 0.267). Conclusions: BMI, genetic history, number of deliveries, simple hysterectomy, hypertriglyceridemia, and hyper‐low‐density lipoprotein cholesterolemia were independent risk factors for surgical treatment of both LDH and LSS in middle‐aged and older women. Two disparities were found: labor intensity was a risk factor for LDH patients, and knee joint surgery and diabetes were risk factors for LSS patients. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection is still a global public health issue, and the development of an effective prophylactic vaccine inducing potent neutralizing antibodies remains a significant challenge. This study aims to explore the inflammation‐related proteins associated with the neutralizing antibodies induced by the DNA/rTV vaccine. In this study, we employed the Olink chip to analyze the inflammation‐related proteins in plasma in healthy individuals receiving HIV candidate vaccine (DNA priming and recombinant vaccinia virus rTV boosting) and compared the differences between neutralizing antibody‐positive (nab +) and –negative(nab‐) groups. We identified 25 differentially expressed factors and conducted enrichment and correlation analysis on them. Our results revealed that significant expression differences in artemin (ARTN) and C‐C motif chemokine ligand 23 (CCL23) between nab+ and –nab‐ groups. Notably, the expression of CCL23 was negatively corelated to the ID50 of neutralizing antibodies and the intensity of the CD4+ T cell responses. This study enriches our understanding of the immune picture induced by the DNA/rTV vaccine, and provides insights for future HIV vaccine development. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Traditional post‐earthquake inspection of civil infrastructure is conducted manually, taking a considerable amount of time and often putting inspectors in harm's way. This problem is exacerbated in modern cities, where millions of people can be left homeless until their residences are deemed safe to reinhabit. Image collection enabled by commercial unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) combined with computer vision‐based techniques has provided an alternative with high potential for rapid post‐earthquake inspection. However, the extracted images of the damage alone are inadequate to evaluate the system‐level safety condition of a structure. The quality of the visual information also heavily relies on the effectiveness of the UAV inspection scheme which is susceptible to environmental uncertainties. To this end, a graphics‐based digital twin (GBDT) framework is developed for UAV‐aided post‐earthquake inspection of high‐rise buildings and validated using a high‐rise building in Guangzhou, China. The GBDT is comprised of a finite element (FE) model and a photorealistic computer graphics (CG) model, with the latter being informed by the former, jointly providing as a comprehensive virtual representation of the structure so that every step of the post‐earthquake inspection procedure can be planned and evaluated virtually. First, to avoid the cumbersome nature of constructing the graphical representation of the numerous components in high‐rise buildings, the CG model in the GBDT is created by automatically importing structural components from the FE model and adding nonstructural components according to the dimensions of the as‐built structure. This fast modeling process as well as the accuracy of the virtual presentation are validated by point cloud comparisons between the CG model and the as‐built structure. Subsequently, the GBDT is used to showcase the evaluation of UAV flight schemes for post‐earthquake inspection of high‐rise buildings. To shorten flight time and place more emphasis on potential damage, FE analysis is conducted to determine the earthquake‐induced damage locations. Consistent damage hotspots are then marked on the CG model, along with restrictions from the real environment such as obstacles, weak satellite signal, wind speed, and lighting conditions considered in the synthetic environment. Finally, applying the synthetic environment as the testbed, three UAV‐aided inspection schemes are implemented virtually and the best UAV flight scheme is determined for the assumed field inspection. This example demonstrates the flexibility of the GBDT in representing the real‐world structure and environmental conditions and its efficacy in assisting decision making for rapid and effective structural inspection in the aftermath of an earthquake. As one of the most urgent social and health problems in the world, neurodegenerative diseases have always been of interest to researchers. However, the pathological mechanisms and therapeutic approaches are not achieved. In addition to the established roles of oxidative stress, inflammation and immune response, changes of gut microbiota are also closely related to the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases. Gut microbiota is the central player of the gut–brain axis, the dynamic bidirectional communication pathway between gut microbiota and central nervous system, and emerging insights have confirmed its indispensability in the development of neurodegenerative diseases. In this review, we discuss the complex relationship between gut microbiota and the central nervous system from the perspective of the gut–brain axis; review the mechanism of microbiota for the modulation different neurodegenerative diseases and discuss how different dietary patterns affect neurodegenerative diseases via gut microbiota; and prospect the employment of gut microbiota in the therapeutic approach to those diseases. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. Heterogeneous structures and doping strategies have been intensively used to manipulate the catalytic conversion of polysulfides to enhance reaction kinetics and suppress the shuttle effect in lithium‐sulfur (Li‐S) batteries. However, understanding how to select suitable strategies for engineering the electronic structure of polar catalysts is lacking. Here, a comparative investigation between heterogeneous structures and doping strategies is conducted to assess their impact on the modulation of the electronic structures and their effectiveness in catalyzing the conversion of polysulfides. These findings reveal that Co0.125Zn0.875Se, with metal‐cation dopants, exhibits superior performance compared to CoSe2/ZnSe heterogeneous structures. The incorporation of low Co2+ dopants induces the subtle lattice strain in Co0.125Zn0.875Se, resulting in the increased exposure of active sites. As a result, Co0.125Zn0.875Se demonstrates enhanced electron accumulation on surface Se sites, improved charge carrier mobility, and optimized both p‐band and d‐band centers. The Li‐S cells employing Co0.125Zn0.875Se catalyst demonstrate significantly improved capacity (1261.3 mAh g−1 at 0.5 C) and cycle stability (0.048% capacity delay rate within 1000 cycles at 2 C). This study provides valuable guidance for the modulation of the electronic structure of typical polar catalysts, serving as a design directive to tailor the catalytic activity of advanced Li‐S catalysts. Growing attention has been paid to the rational treatment of antibiotics‐bearing medical wastewater. However, the complexity of polluted wastewater makes the later comprehensive treatment difficult only by the Advanced Oxidation Process technique. Therefore, the coupled water treatment techniques including contaminant mineralization and regeneration of cleanwater become very attractive. A bimetallic functional hollow nanoreactor defined as (Co@SiO2/Cu−X) was successfully constructed by coating a Cu‐doped silica layer on the metal‐organic framework (ZIF‐67) followed by programmed calcination in nitrogen. The nanoreactor was endowed with a hollow configuration composed of mesoporous N‐doping C‐Silica hybrid shell encapsulated ultrafine Cu and Co metallic species. Such a configuration allows for the efficient diffusion and open reaction space of big contaminant molecules. The catalytic synergy of exposed Co−Cu bimetals and the easy accessibility of electron‐rich contaminants by polar N doping sites triggered surface affinity make the optimal Co@SiO2/Cu‐6 afford an excellent catalytic norfloxacin mineralization activity (7 min, kabs=0.744 min−1) compared to Cu‐free Co@SiO2‐6 (kabs=0.493 min−1) and Co‐6 (kabs=0.378 min−1) Benefiting from the above unique advantages, Co@SiO2/Cu‐6 show excellent removal performance in degrading different pollutants (carbamazepine, oxytetracycline, tetracycline, and bisphenol A) and persistent recycled stability in removing NFX. The electrochemical synthesis of ethylene oxide (EO) using ethylene and water under ambient conditions presents a low‐carbon alternative to existing industrial production process. Yet, the electrocatalytic ethylene epoxidation route is currently hindered by largely insufficient activity, EO selectivity, and long‐term stability. Here we report a single atom Ru‐doped hollandite structure KIr4O8 (KIrRuO) nanowire catalyst for efficient EO production via a chloride‐mediated ethylene epoxidation process. The KIrRuO catalyst exhibits an EO partial current density up to 0.7 A cm−2 and an EO yield as high as 92.0 %. The impressive electrocatalytic performance towards ethylene epoxidation is ascribed to the modulation of electronic structures of adjacent Ir sites by single Ru atoms, which stabilizes the *CH2CH2OH intermediate and facilitates the formation of active Cl2 species during the generation of 2‐chloroethanol, the precursor of EO. Summary: Increasing studies suggest that the biased retention of stress‐related transcription factors (TFs) after whole‐genome duplications (WGDs) could rewire gene transcriptional networks, facilitating plant adaptation to challenging environments. However, the role of posttranscriptional factors (e.g. RNA‐binding proteins, RBPs) following WGDs has been largely ignored.Uncovering thousands of RBPs in 21 representative angiosperm species, we integrate genomic, transcriptomic, regulatomic, and paleotemperature datasets to unravel their evolutionary trajectories and roles in adapting to challenging environments.We reveal functional enrichments of RBP genes in stress responses and identify their convergent retention across diverse angiosperms from independent WGDs, coinciding with global cooling periods. Numerous RBP duplicates derived from WGDs are then identified as cold‐induced. A significant overlap of 29 orthogroups between WGD‐derived and cold‐induced RBP genes across diverse angiosperms highlights a correlation between WGD and cold stress. Notably, we unveil an orthogroup (Glycine‐rich RNA‐binding Proteins 7/8, GRP7/8) and relevant TF duplicates (CCA1/LHY, RVE4/8, CBF2/4, etc.), co‐retained in different angiosperms post‐WGDs. Finally, we illustrate their roles in rewiring circadian and cold‐regulatory networks at both transcriptional and posttranscriptional levels during global cooling.Altogether, we underline the adaptive evolution of RBPs in angiosperms after WGDs during global cooling, improving our understanding of plants surviving periods of environmental turmoil. Exchange bias is extensively studied and widely utilized in spintronic devices, such as spin valves and magnetic tunnel junctions. 2D van der Waals (vdW) magnets, with high‐quality interfaces in heterostructures, provide an excellent platform for investigating the exchange bias effect. To date, intrinsic modulation of exchange bias, for instance, via precise manipulation of the magnetic phases of the antiferromagnetic layer, is yet to be fully reached, owing partly to the large exchange fields of traditional bulk antiferromagnets. Herein, motivated by the low‐field spin‐flop transition of a 2D antiferromagnet, CrPS4, exchange bias is explored by modulating the antiferromagnetic spin‐flop phase transition in all‐vdW magnetic heterostructures. The results demonstrate that undergoing the spin‐flop transition during the field cooling process, the A‐type antiferromagnetic ground state of CrPS4 turns into a canted antiferromagnetic one, therefore, it reduces the interfacial magnetic coupling and suppresses the exchange bias. Via conducting different cooling fields, one can select the exchange bias effect switching among the "ON", "depressed", and "OFF" states determined by the spin flop of CrPS4. For robotic precision spray application in vegetable farms, simultaneous accurate instance segmentation and robust tracking of plants are of great importance and a prerequisite for the following spray action. With onboard cameras, agricultural robots can apply Multiple Object Tracking and Segmentation (MOTS) methods, for instance, segmentation and tracking of plants. By assigning a unique identification for each vegetable, it ensures the robot to spray each vegetable exactly once, while traversing along the farm rows. Conventional MOTS methods, which are mostly designed for tracking pedestrians or vehicles, usually extract their color and texture features for associating different targets in consecutive images. However, vegetable plants of the same species normally show similar color and texture, which leads to degraded performance when conventional MOTS methods are used. To solve the challenging problem of associating vegetables with similar color and texture in consecutive images, in this paper, a novel MOTS method that exploits contour and blob features is proposed, for instance, segmentation and tracking of multiple vegetable plants. The method takes advantage of the fact that different plants normally possess different shape contours and blob properties. With images captured on top of them, these features of the same plant show little difference in consecutively captured images. Comprehensive experiments including ablation studies are conducted, which prove its superior performance over two state‐of‐the‐art MOTS methods. Compared with the conventional MOTS methods, the proposed method is able to re‐identify objects which have gone out of the camera field of view and re‐appear again using the proposed data association strategy, which is important to ensure each vegetable be sprayed only once when the robot travels back and forth. Although the method is tested on lettuce farm, it can be applied to other similar vegetables, such as broccoli and canola. Excessive reactive oxygen species production during acute lung injury (ALI) will aggravate the inflammatory process and endothelial barrier dysfunction. Carnosol is a natural phenolic diterpene with antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties, but its role in treating sepsis‐induced ALI remains unclear. This study aims to explore the protective effects and underlying mechanisms of carnosol in sepsis‐induced ALI. C57BL/6 mouse were preconditioned with carnosol for 1 h, then the model of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced sepsis was established. The degree of pulmonary edema, oxidative stress, and inflammation were detected. Endothelial barrier function was evaluated by apoptosis and cell junctions. In vitro, Mito Tracker Green probe, JC‐1 staining, and MitoSOX staining were conducted to investigate the effect of carnosol on mitochondria. Finally, we investigated the role of nuclear factor‐erythroid 2‐related factor (Nrf2)/sirtuin‐3 (SIRT3) in carnosol against ALI. Carnosol alleviated LPS‐induced pulmonary oxidative stress and inflammation by inhibiting excess mitochondrial reactive oxygen species production and maintaining mitochondrial homeostasis. Furthermore, carnosol also attenuated LPS‐induced endothelial cell barrier damage by reducing vascular endothelial cell apoptosis and restoring occludin, ZO‐1, and vascular endothelial‐Cadherin expression in vitro and in vivo. In addition, carnosol increased Nrf2 nuclear translocation to promote SIRT3 expression. The protective effects of carnosol on ALI were largely abolished by inhibition of Nrf2/SIRT3. Our study has provided the first evidence that the Nrf2/SIRT3 pathway is a protective target of the endothelial barrier in ALI, and carnosol can serve as a potential therapeutic candidate for ALI by utilizing its ability to target this pathway. Irinotecan plays a crucial role in the neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) of rectal cancer, but its optimal dosing is still unclear. In this study, we included 101 eligible patients with the UGT1A1*28 genotype of UGT1A1*1*1 (74.3%) and UGT1A1*1*28 (25.7%) and UGT1A1*6 genotypes of GG (63.4%), GA (32.7%), and AA (3.9%). All patients received preoperative radiotherapy (50 Gy/25 fractions) with concurrent irinotecan (UGT1A1*1*1: 80 mg/m2; UGT1A1*1*28: 65 mg/m2) and capecitabine (CapIri). SN‐38 concentrations were measured at 1.5, 24, and 49 h post‐administration. Patients were divided into four groups (Q1–Q4) based on the SN‐38 concentration. The complete‐response (CR) rate was the primary endpoint. The analysis demonstrated that the 49 h SN‐38 concentration was relatively optimal for predicting efficacy and toxicity. The Q4 group had a significantly higher CR rate than the Q1 group (p =.019), but also higher rates of adverse events (p =.009). We screened the recommended 49 h SN‐38, with a 0.5–1.0 ng/mL concentration range. We also validated the correlation between UGT1A1*6 polymorphism and SN‐38 concentration, along with the clinical efficacy of irinotecan. In conclusion, our study identified the relatively optimal timepoint and concentration range for monitoring SN38 concentrations and revealed the clinical significance of UGT1A1*6 and UGT1A1*28 polymorphisms in guiding irinotecan administration, offering meaningful insights for personalised irinotecan dosing. The cloud electrification process has great significance in understanding the microphysical properties, electrical characteristics, and evolution of thunderstorms. This study employs an X‐band dual‐polarized multiparameter phased array weather radar (MP‐PAWR) to observe the electrical alignment signatures of ice particles before the first intracloud (IC) lightning flash, and to explore the evolution of the upper charge region in the early electrification stage of an isolated thunderstorm. Negative KDP signatures associated with vertically oriented ice particles by strong electric fields in the upper parts of the thunderstorm are analyzed by introducing composite KDP, which is defined as a minimum KDP value observed in a vertical column across all elevation scans at each specific horizontal grid point at and above a designated layer. About 7 min before the first IC lightning flash, the mean canting angle of ice particles in the upper parts of the cloud changed from horizontal to vertical by strong electric fields, and the concentration of vertically aligned ice particles on the top of the cloud reached the maximum 30 s before the first IC lightning flash. These signatures exhibit an early electrification process in the upper parts of the thunderstorm. These results indicate that with the high spatial and temporal resolution, MP‐PAWRs have the ability not only to detect the rapid evolution of microphysical structures but also to observe the early electrification of thunderstorms, which will facilitate forecasting IC lightning flash initiation combined with graupel presence signatures in the mixed‐phase region in normal operation. In this work, we reported a facile one‐pot route to construct polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) and phosphonium‐based ionic porous hypercrosslinked polymers (denoted as P‐iPHCPs) with multiple catalytic active sites, which could be regarded as efficient heterogeneous catalysts for the conversion of carbon dioxide (CO2) to highly value‐added cyclic carbonates. The targeted polymers P‐iPHCPs were prepared from a rigid building block octavinylsilsesquioxane (VPOSS) and a low‐cost commercially available organic ionic salt methyltriphenylphosphonium bromide ([Ph3PMe]Br) by the AlCl3‐catalyzed Friedel‐Crafts reaction. The series of polymers P‐iPHCPs that synthesized by different molar ratios of VPOSS to [Ph3PMe]Br possess hierarchical micro/mesoporous structures with high surface areas ranging from 376 to 429 m2 g−1 and behave the flower‐like nano‐morphology. Especially, the desired multiple active sites involved the mixed anions including free Cl−, Br− anions and the in‐situ formed metal‐halogen complex anion [AlCl3Br]− within phosphonium segments, and the enriched POSS‐derived SiOH hydrogen bond donor (HBD) groups that derived from the breakage of POSS cages during the synthetic process. The typical polymer P‐iPHCP‐14 has the aforementioned nucleophilic‐electrophilic multiple catalytic active sites, which was regarded as an efficient recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for synergistic catalytic conversion of CO2 with various epoxides into cyclic carbonates under mild conditions. As an efficient method to realize photoinduced shape memory, photothermal filler has the characteristics of economy and convenience. However, the aggregation of the photothermal filler in the matrix material will reduce the material's shape memory and mechanical properties. In this work, the photothermal filler of reduced graphene oxide (rGO)‐titanium dioxide (TiO2) was prepared by the solvothermal method and then introduced into the polycaprolactone (PCL) matrices to construct a photoresponsive actuator. Because of TiO2 is uniformly loaded on the rGO surface, rGO‐TiO2 disperses well in the composites. When the GO:TiO2 ratio of photothermal filler is 1:1, the mechanical properties of PCL‐GT‐3 are the best, and the tensile strength and elongation at break are 31.8 MPa and 239.5%, respectively, and the crosslinking material under near‐infrared light has a good photothermal effect. Due to the induced difference between the in‐plane stress of the surface and the volume layer, the shape transformation can be controlled by very low energy (808 nm, 700 mW near‐infrared laser). Low‐carbon alkaline thermal hydrolysis of sewage sludge for the production of high‐quality plant‐growth‐promoting nutrients and biostimulants is a growing concern for sludge resource utilization in agriculture. Thus, this study aims to investigate functional characteristics and soil biochemical effects of sewage sludge‐derived nutrients and biostimulants (SS‐NB). The content of heavy metals in SS‐NB decreased by 47.39–100%, and an increase in soil protease, invertase, and soil nutrient utilization rates are observed in SS‐NB groups. SS‐NB substituted for chemical fertilizer increased the diversity and evenness of microbial community and reduced the abundance of the soil‐borne bacterial genus Arthrobacter. The dominant community of SS‐NB100 group is mainly enriched in Microvirga, Ensifer, Novosphingobium, Bosea and Ellin6055, which are principally beneficial symbiotic bacteria of plants and participated in C and N cycles. Moreover, SS‐NB reduced the accumulation of Ktedonobacteria and Nitrosospira, which are involved in the production of CO2 and N2O, and also enhanced the coordination of soil microorganisms with enzyme activities and nutrient utilization rate. In conclusion, the results suggest that SS‐NB exerts a positive effect on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and preventing soil‐borne diseases, and can further enhance collaboration with soil enzyme activity and soil nutrient utilization by stimulating soil microorganisms. Malicious domains provide malware with covert communication channels which poses a severe threat to cybersecurity. Despite the continuous progress in detecting malicious domains with various machine learning algorithms, maintaining up‐to‐date various samples with fine‐labeled data for training is difficult. To handle these issues and improve the detection accuracy, a novel malicious domain detection method named MDND‐SS‐PO is proposed that combines semi‐supervised learning and parameter optimization. The contributions of the study are as follows. First, the method extracts the statistical features of the IP address, TTL value, the NXDomain record, and the domain name query characteristics to discriminate Domain‐Flux and Fast‐Flux domain names simultaneously. Second, an improved DBSCAN based on the neighborhood division is designed to cluster labeled data and unlabeled data with low time consumption. Then, based on the clustering hypothesis, unlabeled data is tagged with pseudo‐label according to the cluster results, which aims to train a supervised classifier effectively. Finally, Gaussian process regression is used to optimize parameter settings of the algorithm. And the Silhouette index and F1 score are introduced to evaluate the optimization results. Purpose: To evaluate the efficiency and safety of combined local bladder hyperthermia and intravesical chemotherapy (IVC) for the treatment of patients with pT1 stage bladder cancer. Method: A total of 189 patients with pT1 who underwent transurethral resection of bladder cancer (TURBT) were retrospectively reviewed. After TURBT, the patients with low‐grade urothelial carcinoma (UC) were treated with either an IVC with pirarubicin (THP) protocol or chemo‐thermotherapy (CHT) with THP protocol, whereas patients with high‐grade UC were treated with either an intravesical immunotherapy (IVI) with bacillus Calmette–Guerin (BCG) protocol or CHT protocol, patients' characteristics, tumor biological features, and follow‐up data were analyzed and compared between CHT and IVC group in low‐grade UC, CHT, and IVI group in high‐grade UC, respectively. Results: The median follow‐up time was 24 months. In patients with low‐grade UC, the median recurrence free survival (RFS) interval and costs of treatment in CHT group were significantly higher than those in IVC group (p =.01, p <.001, respectively), CHT was associated with higher RFS compared with IVC by Kaplan–Meier analysis, and three patients in IVC group upgraded to high grade when tumor recurred, whereas no cases were found upgraded in CHT group, p =.38. In patients with high‐grade UC, tumor recurrence rates at 12 (p =.004) and 24 months (p =.004) after TURBT, rate of complications (p =.04)—especially for hematuresis (p =.03) and irritation symptoms (p =.04)—the median costs of treatment (p <.001) in CHT group were significantly lower than those in IVI group, RFS interval, health‐related quality of life) at 12 and 24 months after TURBT in CHT group was significantly higher than those in IVI group (p <.001, p =.002, and p <.001, respectively), and CHT was associated with higher RFS compared with IVI by Kaplan–Meier analysis. The rate of patients upstaged to pT2 in CHT group seemed lower than that in IVI group, but there was no significantly statistical difference (14.3% vs. 24%, p =.58). Conclusion: CHT has a beneficial prophylactic effect in patients with pT1 bladder cancer, especially in patients with high‐grade UC, which is much more effective and safer than BCG, meanwhile it costs less compared with BCG. Different types of childhood maltreatment have negative effects on individual mental and behavioural outcomes. However, most of previous studies investigated their effects separately. Little is known about the effects of co‐occurring maltreatment profiles on adolescents' developmental outcomes and the potential protective factor. The current study sought to identify distinct profiles of childhood maltreatment and examine the effects of profiles of childhood maltreatment on internalising and externalising problems and the protective role of resilience based on two‐wave longitudinal data, which was collected from a sample of 670 Chinese adolescents (Mage = 15.50, SDage = 0.75, 48.4% boys). Four profiles of childhood maltreatment, that is, No maltreatment (67.9%), High neglect (23.0%), High abuse and neglect/Low sexual abuse (5.0%), and Multi‐maltreatment (4.1%), were identified. Adolescents in High neglect, High abuse and neglect/Low sexual abuse, and Multi‐maltreatment profiles were more likely to report internalising and externalising problems. Further, significant moderating effects of resilience only emerged for the association between the High neglect profile and internalising problems, such that high levels of resilience may weaken the association between the High neglect profile and internalising problems. Our findings revealed the importance and utility of identifying maltreatment profiles to tailor treatment based on specific maltreatment experiences. Knowledge of aerosol radiative effects in the Tibetan Plateau (TP) is limited due to the lack of reliable aerosol optical properties, especially the single scattering albedo (SSA). We firstly reported in situ measurement of SSA in Lhasa using a cavity enhanced albedometer (CEA) at λ = 532 nm from 22nd May to 11th June 2021. Unexpected strong aerosol absorbing ability was observed with an average SSA of 0.69. Based on spectral absorptions measured by Aethalometer (AE33), black carbon (BC) was found to be the dominated absorbing species, accounting for about 83% at λ = 370 nm, followed by primary and secondary brown carbon (BrCpri and BrCsec). The average direct aerosol radiative forcing at the top of atmosphere (DARFTOA) was 2.83 W/m2, indicating aerosol warming effect on the Earth‐atmosphere system. Even though aerosol loading is low, aerosol heating effect plays a significant role on TP warming due to strong absorbing ability. Aerosol single scattering albedo (SSA) is a key optical parameter determining aerosol warming or cooling effect; however, reliable SSA measurement is scarce in TP. This study firstly reported in situ measurement of SSA in Lhasa and explored the direct radiative effect of aerosol on TP warming. Strong aerosol absorption, mainly contributed by black carbon (BC), was observed with an average SSA value of 0.69 in this city. Besides Lhasa, other sites over TP were also reported with low SSA (≤0.77) from surface measurement. The strong aerosol absorption could cause heating effect on the Earth‐atmosphere system. Deep learning‐based image registration (DLIR) has been widely developed, but it remains challenging in perceiving small and large deformations. Besides, the effectiveness of the DLIR methods was also rarely validated on the downstream tasks. In the study, a multi‐scale complexity‐aware registration network (MSCAReg‐Net) was proposed by devising a complexity‐aware technique to facilitate DLIR under a single‐resolution framework. Specifically, the complexity‐aware technique devised a multi‐scale complexity‐aware module (MSCA‐Module) to perceive deformations with distinct complexities, and employed a feature calibration module (FC‐Module) and a feature aggregation module (FA‐Module) to facilitate the MSCA‐Module by generating more distinguishable deformation features. Experimental results demonstrated the superiority of the proposed MSCAReg‐Net over the existing methods in terms of registration accuracy. Besides, other than the indices of Dice similarity coefficient (DSC) and percentage of voxels with non‐positive Jacobian determinant (|Jϕ|≤0$| {{J_\phi }} | \le 0$), a comprehensive evaluation of the registration performance was performed by applying this method on a downstream task of multi‐atlas hippocampus segmentation (MAHS). Experimental results demonstrated that this method contributed to a better hippocampus segmentation over other DLIR methods, and a comparable segmentation performance with the leading SyN method. The thermally stable inorganic cesium‐based perovskites promise efficient and stable photovoltaics. Unfortunately, the strong ionic bonds lead to uncontrollable rapid crystallization, making it difficult in fabricating large‐area black‐phase film for photovoltaics. Herein, we developed a facile hydrogen‐bonding assisted strategy for modulating the crystallization of CsPbI2Br to achieve uniform large‐area phase‐pure films with much‐reduced defects. The simple addition of methylamine acetate in precursors not only promotes the formation of intermediate phase via hydrogen bonding to circumvent the direct crystallization of CsPbI2Br from ionic precursors but also widens the film processing window, thus enabling to fabricate large‐area high‐quality phase‐pure CsPbI2Br film under benign conditions. Combining with stable dopant‐free poly(3‐hexylthiophene), the CsPbI2Br solar cells achieve the record‐high efficiencies of 18.14 % and 16.46 % for 0.1 cm2 and 1 cm2 active area, respectively. This article provides an overview of a study on familial cerebral cavernous malformations (CCMs), which are abnormal blood vessels in the brain that can lead to bleeding. The study found that there are distinct differences in the natural course and genetic makeup of symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) lesions and dot-sized lesions in familial CCMs. ICH lesions have a higher incidence rate of hemorrhage events and harbor both CCM germline mutations and PIK3CA somatic mutations, while dot-sized lesions only have CCM germline mutations. The article also explores the role of the PI3K-VEGF pathway and the potential of a VEGF inhibitor called bevacizumab as a treatment for CCMs, although further research is needed to evaluate its safety and efficacy. Triple‐positive breast cancer (TPBC) poorly responds to current standard neoadjuvant therapy (trastuzumab plus pertuzumab and chemotherapy). Our previous MUKDEN 01 study showed a promising total pathological complete response (tpCR) rate of 30.4% with neoadjuvant pyrotinib (pan‐human epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor) plus dalpiciclib (cyclin‐dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitor) and letrozole, but the efficacy remains suboptimal. This pilot study (NCT05228951) explored adding trastuzumab to this triplet neoadjuvant regimen in patients with stage II–III TPBC. The primary endpoint was tpCR (ypT0/is, ypN0) rate. Between February 2022 and June 2022, 12 patients were enrolled, and seven (58%; 95% confidence interval [CI], 27.7%–84.8%) patients achieved tpCR. The rate of residual cancer burden (RCB) 0–I was 75% (95% CI, 46.8%–91.1%). The objective response rate (ORR) was 92% (95% CI, 64.6%–98.5%). Mean Ki‐67 level was significantly reduced from 45.0% (95% CI, 19.5%–70.5%) at baseline to 17.2% (95% CI, 0.7%–33.7%) after neoadjuvant therapy (p = 0.03). The most common grade 3 adverse events were diarrhea (four [33%]) and decreased neutrophil count (three [25%]). No grade 4 adverse events or treatment‐related deaths occurred. This four‐drug neoadjuvant regimen shows promising pathological response with an acceptable safety profile in patients with TPBC. This paper presents large‐scale quasi‐static tests conducted to investigate the seismic behavior of slender T‐shaped walls under a high axial compression force ratio of approximately 0.19. Four specimens were designed per various codes and design methods for comparison. All specimens failed in a flexural mode, characterized by the crushing of concrete and buckling or fracture of boundary longitudinal rebars at the web toe. The specimens designed per the US code ACI 318‐19 provisions and designed using displacement‐based method exhibited satisfactory deformation capacity with an ultimate drift exceeding 2.0%, which validates the effectiveness of the provisions and displacement‐based method for T‐shaped walls under high axial force ratios. However, the specimen designed per the Chinese code GB 50011‐2010 experienced a sudden drop in strength after 1.0% drift in flange‐in‐tension loading, indicating insufficient design of the special boundary element at the web toe and the necessity of improvement of the current Chinese code provisions. The flexural strength of the T‐shaped wall specimens can be accurately estimated using cross‐sectional analysis. Analysis of the test data indicated that the effective stiffness of the T‐shaped RC walls with an axial force ratio of no greater than 0.1 was significantly lower than 0.35EcIg, while that of the T‐shaped walls with an axial force ratio of 0.19 reached 0.5–0.7EcIg. Existing equations did not provide accurate estimate of the effective stiffness of T‐shaped walls. The lateral drift limit formulation developed by Segura and Wallace could reasonably estimate the lateral drift capacities for the T‐shaped RC wall specimens under high axial force ratios. Finally, three conceptually different models, namely the MVLEM‐3D, SFI‐MVLEM‐3D, and multi‐layer shear element models were adopted for the simulation of T‐shaped RC walls. All three models reasonably predicted the flexural strength capacity (mostly less than 15% error) and the effective stiffness (13%–43% error) of the T‐shaped walls. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
