A formal [4+3] cycloaddition of 2‐alkylidenetrimethylene carbonates with quinazoline‐derived azomethine imines is described. Under Pd catalysis, the reaction works efficiently under room temperature to afford angular quinazoline‐fused seven‐membered N,N,O‐heterocycles. A variety of cyclic carbonates and azomethine imines were well tolerated under mild reaction conditions. This work demonstrates the synthetic utility of decarboxylative cycloadditions of 2‐alkylidenetrimethylene carbonates for the synthesis of angular polycyclic aromatic molecules. Continuous fiber reinforced composites are widely used in thin‐walled structures due to their high specific strength and stiffness. In this work, continuous natural fiber was introduced into thin‐walled biocomposite structures via 3D printing technique to enhance energy absorbing properties and promote ecological compatibility. The effects of varying configurations of printing speed, layer thickness, and path optimization on the deposition quality of continuous ramie fiber and polylactic acid matrix were explored. The results showed that reduced printing speed (100 mm/min) and optimal layer thickness (0.25 mm) effectively minimized structural forming defects. In addition, further enhancements in the printing quality could be achieved by smoothing the path with rounded corners. Based on optimal printing strategies, different configurations of thin‐walled biocomposite structures were fabricated. Lateral monotonic and cyclic load tests were performed to investigate their energy absorption and shape recovery capacities. When the loading displacement was 10 mm (strain was 20%), the circular structure presented good shape recovery capability, with measured recovery ratio remaining above 89%. The hexagonal structure showed a similar variation in shape recovery ratio as the quadrangular structure, both remaining above 75%. Moreover, the specific energy absorption of all the structures converged after two cycles, indicating their remarkable and stable repeatable load‐bearing capacity. The electronic nose aims to emulate the olfactory capabilities of osmatic animals, utilizing olfactory sensing array with different sensing characteristics to perceive odors. However, the separate precursors and preparation methods of sensing materials pose challenges in the fabrication of an olfactory sensing array. In this work, the customization of the surface crystal phase of Sr─Fe─O materials (SFO) is demonstrated through the control of annealing temperature, enabling the simple fabrication of an olfactory sensing array using a single precursor. Significantly, the SFO materials exhibit diverse proportions of surface crystal phases, showcasing varied selective characteristics toward volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The materials also demonstrate remarkable responsiveness, linearity, and response/recovery times. Furthermore, this study unraveles the intricate gas‐sensor mechanism through first principle calculations, revealing that Fe spin‐down d band center of Sr3Fe2O7, located near the Fermi level, significantly enhances the binding strength of intermediates, leading to a higher response specifically to certain VOCs. Integrating these materials into a unified device, the sensor array quantitatively and discriminatively detected different VOCs. In urban areas, emergency vehicles (EVs) need efficient traffic signal preemption to ensure timely responses during peak hours. While emergency vehicle traffic signal preemption (EVTSP) has garnered significant attention in the literature, the issues of queue spillbacks and negative impacts on non‐priority traffic have been relatively underreported. These issues are particularly critical during peak hours, notably in densely populated urban areas. This study presents an EVTSP system that considers queue spillbacks on approaches along the routes of EVs and the negative impacts of signal preemption on non‐priority traffic. The proposed control system has four key components: (1) a queue length management algorithm to ensure that an EV will not be impeded by excessive queues, particularly on its initial approaches along its route; (2) a signal preemption algorithm to guarantee uninterrupted passage of an EV even for approaches experiencing queue spillbacks; (3) a traffic status recovery algorithm to alleviate the extra waiting time for non‐priority vehicles after an EV crosses each intersection; and (4) a signal plan recovery algorithm to smoothly transit traffic signals to normal operation. In this study, a targeted nanocarrier was developed by functionalizing graphene oxide with polyethyleneimine and folic acid, intended for loading oridonin. The nanocarrier was successfully synthesized and characterized using an ultraviolet spectrum, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The nanocarrier demonstrated a remarkable oridonin loading capacity, reaching 424.8 μg/mg, as determined by ultra‐high performance liquid chromatography. In vitro drug release experiments exhibited a pH‐dependent release profile, with a higher cumulative release in an acidic environment. The release mechanism followed the Ritger–Peppas equation model. Cytotoxicity assays indicated minimal toxicity of the nanocarrier. Enhanced cellular uptake by MCF7 cells was observed for carriers functionalized with folate and polyethyleneimine. Background and Purpose: Pancreatic islets are modulated by cross‐talk among different cell types and paracrine signalling plays important roles in maintaining glucose homeostasis. Urocortin 3 (UCN3) secreted by pancreatic β cells activates the CRF2 receptor (CRF2R) and downstream pathways mediated by different G protein or arrestin subtypes in δ cells to cause somatostatin (SST) secretion, and constitutes an important feedback circuit for glucose homeostasis. Experimental Approach: Here, we used Arrb1−/−, Arrb2−/−, Gsfl/fl and Gqfl/fl knockout mice, the G11‐shRNA‐GFPfl/fl lentivirus, as well as functional assays and pharmacological characterization to study how the coupling of Gs, G11 and β‐arrestin1 to CRF2R contributed to UCN3‐induced SST secretion in pancreatic δ cells. Key Results: Our study showed that CRF2R coupled to a panel of G protein and arrestin subtypes in response to UCN3 engagement. While RyR3 phosphorylation by PKA at the S156, S2706 and S4697 sites may underlie the Gs‐mediated UCN3‐ CRF2R axis for SST secretion, the interaction of SYT1 with β‐arrestin1 is also essential for efficient SST secretion downstream of CRF2R. The specific expression of the transcription factor Stat6 may contribute to G11 expression in pancreatic δ cells. Furthermore, we found that different UCN3 concentrations may have distinct effects on glucose homeostasis, and these effects may depend on different CRF2R downstream effectors. Conclusions and Implications: Collectively, our results provide a landscape view of signalling mediated by different G protein or arrestin subtypes downstream of paracrine UCN3‐ CRF2R signalling in pancreatic β‐δ‐cell circuits, which may facilitate the understanding of fine‐tuned glucose homeostasis networks. Hierarchical porous carbon nanoparticles, with tailored asymmetric morphologies and pore structures, have great implications in high‐performance electrode materials. However, the controlled synthesis of anisotropic carbon nanoparticles with tailored multimodal pore structures remains a challenge. Herein, a droplet‐directed anisotropic assembly approach to synthesize asymmetric carbon nanoparticles with macro/mesopores is demonstrated. This synthesis relies on the anisotropic growth of mesoporous polydopamine (PDA) seeds on the emulsion interfaces and the subsequent immersion of 1,3,5‐trimethylbenzene (TMB) droplets into the seeds. The obtained carbon nanoparticles present a semifootball‐shaped morphology with a high surface area (383 m2 g−1), well‐controlled macropores (≈105 nm), and mesopores (≈3.8 nm). By tuning the polarity of the oil phase, the morphologies transform from non‐porous spheres to semifootball‐like architectures and finally to nano‐ellipsoid with meso‐channels. The pore structures are further optimized by ZnCl2 activation, and the semifootball‐like carbon nanoparticles with modulated pore compositions deliver a high reversible capability, excellent rate performance (215 F g−1 at 0.05 A g−1 and 143 F g−1 at 20 A g−1 in organic electrolyte), and enhanced energy density (53.4 Wh Kg−1). Simulation results elucidate the structure–activity relationship between the multistage pore structure and electrochemical performance, i.e., pore hierarchy enhances ion diffusion flux, and large‐mesopore structure facilitates rate performance. CsPbBr3 nanoplates (NPs) have shown great potential in diverse optoelectronic applications. Despite the wonderful luminescence properties, the inherent instability of these NPs hinders their use in practical situations. Herein, a facile water‐assisted strategy is reported to synthesize highly stable blue emission CsPbBr3 NPs encapsulated in PbBr(OH). The introduction of water directly into the reaction mixture is pivotal, as it triggers the transformation of bulk CsPbBr3 nanocubes into 2‐D CsPbBr3 NPs within the PbBr(OH) matrix, resulting in the formation of CsPbBr3@PbBr(OH) microbricks. Remarkably, the water content in the reaction mixture allows the control of the number of perovskite layers in the NPs, thus enabling the emission color to be tuned from deep blue to green. The unconventional approach presented herein not only offers a cost‐effective pathway to synthesize blue‐emitting perovskites which are highly stable in a wide variety of polar and non‐polar solvents, but also holds immense potential for propelling the advancement of high‐performance LEDs and other optoelectronic devices. Personality has constituted a significant psychological component predicting physical exercise. Prior research mostly focused on how personality domains are associated with exercise behaviour. Yet, focusing more closely on combinations of personality domains may be valuable in the future. The present cross‐sectional study aimed to bridge this gap by investigating the associations between Big Five personality profiles and exercise behaviour based on a person‐centred approach in adults. Data from the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) were used (N = 28,304), in which participants reported their Big Five personality and exercise behaviour. Latent profile analyses, grounded in young adulthood, middle adulthood, and later adulthood sub‐samples, identified five personality profiles: moderate, reserved, confident, resilient, and vulnerable. Across three age groups, significant differences between the five personality profiles in relation to exercise behaviour were revealed. Individuals with the resilient or confident profiles generally had longer exercise duration while people with the vulnerable profile tended to exercise less. Our findings give greater insight into the relationship between exercise and personality, suggesting that different combinations of personality traits may determine individuals' exercise behaviour. Selenium (Se) is an important trace element for human body, and the fruit Se source is one option for human Se supplementation. To increase grapevine uptake of Se, grape seedlings were transplanted in soils supplemented with sodium selenite, and the concentrations of 0, 1, 2, 4, and 6 g L−1 chitosan were sprayed on grapevine seedling leaves. Next, the effects of chitosan on grapevine Se uptake were studied. The chitosan‐based foliar application increased the biomass, photosynthetic pigment content, antioxidant enzyme activity, and soluble protein content of grapevine. Chitosan application also increased the total Se, inorganic Se, and organic Se contents in grapevine. However, while the root organic Se was increased, the shoot inorganic Se was decreased. Compared to the control, the concentrations of 1, 2, 4, and 6 g L−1 chitosan increased the shoot total Se content by 9.29%, 12.39%, 17.70%, and 14.16%, respectively. Chitosan application also increased the nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K) contents in grapevine. Moreover, correlation, gray relational, principal component, and cluster analyses revealed that the root total Se, shoot total N, and root total K contents were the top three indicators closely associated with the shoot total Se content. Therefore, foliar‐based chitosan application on grape seedlings can promote the Se uptake in grapevine under sodium selenite supply, and 4 g L−1 is the best concentration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The effects of exogenous strigolactone (using strigolactone analog GR24) on the cadmium (Cd) accumulation in Solanum nigrum var. humile were studied by a pot experiment. The Cd treatment (0.1 mg/L) inhibited the growth of S. nigrum var. humile, indicating that 0.1 mg/L produced the stress to S. nigrum var. humile. Spraying GR24 at 1 μmol/L did not change plant dry biomass, increased the photosynthetic pigment content and catalase activity, and decreased the peroxidase activity under Cd stress. By contrast, spraying GR24 at 2 μmol/L had no significant effects on these parameters. The superoxide dismutase activity was decreased by GR24 at 1 μmol/L, but increased by GR24 at 2 μmol/L. Nevertheless, both GR24 at 1 and 2 μmol/L increased the Cd contents, bioconcentration factors, and Cd extractions in various plant organs. Compared to Cd treatment, GR24 at 1 and 2 μmol/L increased the shoot Cd extraction by 20.0% and 14.5%, respectively. So, application of exogenous strigolactone could improve the phytoremediation capacity of S. nigrum var. humile. Correlation and grey relational analyses showed that the root Cd content, shoot Cd content, and root Cd extraction were the top three parameters closely related to the shoot Cd extraction. These findings suggest that exogenous strigolactone can effectively promote the Cd accumulation in S. nigrum var. humile, presenting a promising solution to enhance its phytoremediation capacity. γ‐aminobutyric acid (GABA) has shown promise in enhancing crop tolerance to heavy metal stress. To improve the cadmium (Cd) phytoremediation capacity of hyperaccumulator Solanum nigrum var. humile, the effects of exogenous GABA on the growth and Cd accumulation of S. nigrum var. humile were studied. When exposed to Cd stress (0.1 mg/L) through irrigation, S. nigrum var. humile exhibited inhibited growth, characterized by decreased biomass and contents of photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, and carotenoid). However, the application of exogenous GABA at 1 and 2 g/L increased various organs biomass and photosynthetic pigment content of S. nigrum var. humile to certain degree under Cd stress. Compared with the Cd treatment, the concentrations of 1 and 2 g/L GABA increased the shoot biomass by 8.24% and 16.62%, respectively. GABA also increased the Cd contents, bioconcentration factors, and Cd extractions in various organs of S. nigrum var. humile. Compared with the Cd treatment, the concentrations of 1 and 2 g/L GABA increased the shoot Cd extraction by 17.66% and 24.47%, respectively. Moreover, correlation and gray relational analyses showed that the shoot biomass, chlorophyll b content, and total chlorophyll content were the top three parameters closely related to shoot Cd extraction. These findings suggest that GABA can alleviate Cd‐induced stress in S. nigrum var. humile, thus enhancing its phytoremediation capacity for Cd‐contaminated soils. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nowadays, the food industry is facing challenges due to the simultaneous rise in global warming, population, and food consumption. As the integration of synthetic biology and food science, novel synthetic foods have obtained high attention to address these issues. However, these novel foods may cause potential risks related to human health. Four types of novel synthetic foods, including plant‐based foods, cultured meat, fermented foods, and microalgae‐based foods, were reviewed in the study. The original food sources, consumer acceptance, advantages and disadvantages of these foods were discussed. Furthermore, potential risk factors, such as nutritional, biological, and chemical risk factors, associated with these foods were described and analyzed. Additionally, the current detection methods (e.g., enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay, biosensors, chromatography, polymerase chain reaction, isothermal amplification, and microfluidic technology) and processing technologies (e.g., microwave treatment, ohmic heating, steam explosion, high hydrostatic pressure, ultrasound, cold plasma, and supercritical carbon dioxide) were reviewed and discussed critically. Nonetheless, it is crucial to continue innovating and developing new detection and processing technologies to effectively evaluate these novel synthetic foods and ensure their safety. Finally, approaches to enhance the quality of these foods were briefly presented. It will provide insights into the development and management of novel synthetic foods for food industry. Background: Buccal mucosa squamous cell carcinoma (BMSCC) is an aggressive disease. This study investigated the clinicopathological significance of tumor budding (TB), depth of invasion (DOI), and mode of invasion (MOI) on occult cervical metastasis (CM) of BMSCC. Methods: Seventy‐one cT1–2N0 BMSCC patients were included in this retrospective study. TB, DOI, MOI, and other clinicopathological features were reviewed. Risk factors for occult CM, locoregional recurrence‐free survival (LRRFS), and overall survival (OS) were analyzed using logistic regression and Cox's proportional hazard models, respectively. Results: Multivariate analysis with the logistic regression model revealed that MOI, DOI, and TB were significantly associated with occult CM in early‐stage BMSCC after adjusting for variates. However, multivariate analysis with the Cox's proportional hazard model found only TB to be a prognostic factor for LRRFS (hazard ratio 15.03, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.94–116.66; p = 0.01; trend test p = 0.03). No significant association was found between MOI, DOI, or TB and OS. Conclusions: The optimal predictor of occult CM and prognosis of early‐stage BMSCC is TB, which may assist clinicians in identifying patients at high risk of cervical metastasis. Background: Pulmonary hypertension (PH) results in right ventricular (RV) dysfunction, subsequently leading to left ventricular (LV) impairment. The mechanism underlying ventricular interdependence is largely uninvestigated. Purpose: To explore the biventricular dysfunction and the ventricular interdependence in PH patients. Study Type: Retrospective. Population: One hundred and seven PH patients (mean pulmonary artery pressure >20 mmHg) and 72 age‐ and sex‐matched controls with cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies. Field Strength/Sequence: 3.0 T/balanced steady‐state free precession sequence. Assessment: LV and RV ejection fractions (EF) and RV and LV radial, circumferential, and longitudinal strains were assessed using commercial software. Strains were compared between controls, PH patients with preserved RVEF (RVEF ≥40%, N = 48), and PH patients with reduced RVEF (RVEF <40%, N = 59). Statistical Tests: Chi‐squared tests or Fisher's exact test, t tests or Mann–Whitney U test, one‐way ANOVA with Bonferroni's post hoc correction or Kruskal–Wallis test, Pearson or Spearman correlation, and multivariable linear regression analysis. A two‐tailed P < 0.05 was deemed statistically significant. Results: RV strain decreased sequentially from controls, through PH with preserved RVEF, to PH with reduced RVEF. PH patients with reduced RVEF had significantly lower LV strain, especially septal strain, and LV peak diastolic strain rate compared with both controls and PH patients with preserved RVEF. Multivariable analyses showed that RVEF was independently correlated with LV strain; furthermore, independent of RVEF, RV strain was significantly correlated with LV strain (LVGRS: β = 0.416; LVGCS: β = −0.371; LVGLS: β = 0.283). Data Conclusion: Subclinical impairment of RV function was found in PH with preserved RVEF. LV strain was impaired when RV was dysfunctional, which was associated with worsening RV strain. Therefore, while focusing on improving RV function, LV dysfunction in PH patients should also be monitored and treated early in order to slow the progression of the disease. Background: The melon fly, Zeugodacus cucurbitae Coquillett, is one of the major pests attacking Cucurbitaceae crops. Identifying critical genes or proteins regulating fertility is essential for sustainable pest control and a research hotspot in insect physiology. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short RNAs that do not directly participate in protein translation, but instead function in post‐transcriptional regulation of gene expression involved in male fertility. Results: We found that miR‐927‐5p is highly expressed in the testes and investigated its function in spermatogenesis in Z. cucurbitae. Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) showed miR‐927‐5p in the transformation and maturation region of the testis, and overexpression of miR‐927‐5p reduced the number of sperms by 53%. In continuation, we predicted 12 target genes of miR‐927‐5p using bioinformatics combined with transcriptome sequencing data, and found that miR‐927‐5p targets the new gene Stalky in insects, which was validated by quantitative real‐time PCR, RNA pull‐down and dual luciferase reporter assays. FISH also confirmed the co‐localization of miR‐927‐5p and the transcript Stalky_1 in the testis. Moreover, silencing of Stalky_1 by RNA interference reduced the number of sperms by 32% and reduced sperm viability by 39% in physiologically mature male adults. Meanwhile, the silencing of Stalky_1 also resulted in low hatchability. Conclusion: Our work not only presents a new, so far unreported mechanism regulating spermatogenesis by miR‐927‐5p targeting a new unknown target, Stalky, which is providing new knowledge on the regulatory network of insect spermatogenesis, but also lays a foundation for the development of SIT against important tephritid fly pests. © 2024 Society of Chemical Industry. BACKGROUND: The citrus red mite, Panonychus citri (McGregor) is a globally distributed agricultural pest. Of late, resistance to common acaricides has raised concerns that chemical control of P. citri is an inefficient means of control. Fluralaner, a highly toxic isoxazoline insecticide used to treat various ectoparasites, presents one potential alternative. However, little information has been reported about the effect of fluralaner on the citrus red mite. This study aims to evaluate the toxicity, sublethal and transgenerational effects of fluralaner on P. citri. RESULTS: In both laboratory and field populations of P. citri, we found fluralaner to be more toxic than conventional alternatives, including fenpropathrin, bifenazate, azocyclotin and chlorpyrifos. Interestingly, fluralaner proved more toxic to female adults than to the eggs of P. citri, with median lethal concentrations (LC50) of 2.446 and 122.7 mg L−1, respectively. Exposure to sublethal concentrations of fluralaner (LC10, LC20 and LC30) significantly reduced the fecundity and longevity of female adults P. citri individuals. Although concentrations of fluralaner applied to the parental female adults (F0) led to some changes in the developmental parameters, there were no significant changes in most of the life table parameters or population growth of the F1 generation. CONCLUSION: Our results indicate that fluralaner is highly toxic to P. citri, and a significant sublethal effect on F0 could suppress the population growth of P. citri, but not for F1. Three‐dimensional displacement monitoring over long distances has been a long‐standing concern in the structural health monitoring industry. In this study, a multi‐degree‐of‐freedom slope displacement monitoring method is developed by fusing computer vision and the 3D point triangulation method. Attributed to this method, the problems of outdoor binocular camera calibration, multi‐target mismatching, and outdoor illumination effects were solved. First, a two‐stage camera calibration method is proposed to accurately calibrate intrinsic and extrinsic camera parameters under a large field of view and long working distance conditions. Second, the adaptive spatial‐frequency method is proposed to calculate the coding and pixel coordinates of the monitored target. In this step, to solve the problem of mismatching monitored points in different camera frames, the Augmented Reality University of Cordoba code is introduced to provide a unique identity code for each monitored point. To mitigate the impact of illumination and other factors on pixel coordinate calculation, an adaptive pixel coordinate calculation method that combines information from the spatial and frequency domains is proposed., Third, based on the intrinsic and extrinsic parameters of the stereo camera and the pixel coordinates of the monitored points, the 3D coordinates of the monitored points are obtained through triangulation. Finally, the accuracy experiments and stability experiments are conducted. According to the results of the experiments, the measurement distance is positively correlated with the measurement error. And the baseline length is negatively correlated with the measurement error in the z‐direction. Ultimately, we suggest that the ratio of baseline length to measurement distance should be greater than 40%. When the recommended value is satisfied, the measurement error is less than 1 mm when the measurement distance is less than 40 m. When the measurement distance is equal to 90 m, the measurement error is less than 5 mm. Meanwhile, stability experiments of the algorithm were carried out, and in a period of outdoor validation experiments, the fluctuations were only sub‐millimeter, demonstrating good anti‐interference performance. Materials that can emit light under optical/mechanical stimulation are usually called photoluminescent/mechanoluminescent (PL/ML) materials. PL materials are used in diverse fields for half a century. While, ML materials have burst out in the last two decades, and now are showing great application potential in the fields of anti‐counterfeiting, information storage, and stress imaging. It is of great significance to explore new luminescent materials with PL and ML dual response. In this study, Tb3+‐doped Ca3Ga4O9 phosphors with color‐tunable PL and non‐pre‐irradiation ML properties are reported. Ca3Ga4O9 exhibits a broadband blue emission centering at 425 nm, which originates from the 4T2‐4A2 transition of electrons in d orbits of Ga3+. Due to the energy transfer from host to Tb3+, color‐tunable emission from blue to cyan, and ultimately to green can be realized by increasing the concentration of Tb3+. Particularly, ML is seen from Ca3Ga4O9:Tb3+ under grinding and from the Ca3Ga4O9:Tb3+/PDMS film under bending or stretching originated from the triboelectric mechanism. The non‐pre‐irradiation ML behavior is evidenced by the contrast thermoluminescence (TL) experiments. Mammalian cytochrome P450 drug‐metabolizing enzymes rarely cleave carbon–carbon (C−C) bonds and the mechanisms of such cleavages are largely unknown. We identified two unusual cleavages of non‐polar, unstrained C(sp2)−C(sp3) bonds in the FDA‐approved tyrosine kinase inhibitor pexidartinib that are mediated by CYP3A4/5, the major human phase I drug metabolizing enzymes. Using a synthetic ketone, we rule out the Baeyer–Villiger oxidation mechanism that is commonly invoked to address P450‐mediated C−C bond cleavages. Our studies in 18O2 and H218O enriched systems reveal two unusual distinct mechanisms of C−C bond cleavage: one bond is cleaved by CYP3A‐mediated ipso‐addition of oxygen to a C(sp2) site of N‐protected pyridin‐2‐amines, and the other occurs by a pseudo‐retro‐aldol reaction after hydroxylation of a C(sp3) site. This is the first report of CYP3A‐mediated C−C bond cleavage in drug metabolism via ipso‐addition of oxygen mediated mechanism. CYP3A‐mediated ipso‐addition is also implicated in the regioselective C−C cleavages of several pexidartinib analogs. The regiospecificity of CYP3A‐catalyzed oxygen ipso‐addition under environmentally friendly conditions may be attractive and inspire biomimetic or P450‐engineering methods to address the challenging task of C−C bond cleavages. Zeugodacus cucurbitae Coquillett (Diptera: Tephritidae) is an agriculturally and economically important pest worldwide that has developed resistance to β‐cypermethrin. Glutathione S‐transferases (GSTs) have been reported to be involved in the detoxification of insecticides in insects. We have found that both ZcGSTd6 and ZcGSTd10 were up‐regulated by β‐cypermethrin induction in our previous study, so we aimed to explore their potential relationship with β‐cypermethrin tolerance in this study. The heterologous expression of ZcGSTd6 and ZcGSTd10 in Escherichia coli showed significantly high activities against 1‐chloro‐2,4‐dinitrobenzene (CDNB). The kinetic parameters of ZcGSTd6 and ZcGSTd10 were determined by Lineweaver–Burk. The Vmax and Km of ZcGSTd6 were 0.50 μmol/min·mg and 0.3 mM, respectively. The Vmax and Km of ZcGSTd10 were 1.82 μmol/min·mg and 0.53 mM. The 3D modelling and molecular docking results revealed that β‐cypermethrin exhibited a stronger bounding to the active site SER‐9 of ZcGSTd10. The sensitivity to β‐cypermethrin was significantly increased by 18.73% and 27.21%, respectively, after the knockdown of ZcGSTd6 and ZcGSTd10 by using RNA interference. In addition, the inhibition of CDNB at 50% (IC50) and the inhibition constants (Ki) of β‐cypermethrin against ZcGSTd10 were determined as 0.41 and 0.33 mM, respectively. The Ki and IC50 of β‐cypermethrin against ZcSGTd6 were not analysed. Insecticide resistance in Panonychus citri is a major obstacle to mite control in citrus orchards. Pyrethroid insecticides are continually used to control mites in China, although resistance to pyrethroids has evolved in some populations. Here, the resistance to the pyrethroid fenpropathrin was investigated and 7 out of 8 field‐collected populations of P. citri exhibited a high level of resistance, ranging from 171‐fold to 15 391‐fold higher than the susceptible (SS) comparison strain. Three voltage‐gated sodium channel (VGSC) mutations were identified in the tested populations: L1031V, F1747L, and F1751I. Amplicon sequencing was used to evaluate the frequency of these mutations in the 19 field populations. L1031V and F1751I were present in all populations at frequencies of 11.6%–82.1% and 0.5%–31.8%, respectively, whereas the F1747L mutation was only present in 12 populations from Chongqing, Sichuan, Guangxi, and Yunnan provinces. Introduction of these mutations singly or in combination into transgenic flies significantly increased their resistance to fenpropathrin and these flies also exhibited reduced mortality after exposure to the pyrethroids permethrin and β‐cypermethrin. Panonychus citri VGSC homology modeling and ligand docking indicate that F1747 and F1751 form direct binding contacts with pyrethroids, which are lost with mutation, whereas L1031 mutation may diminish pyrethroid effects through an allosteric mechanism. Background and Objectives: National‐level data on the incidence of red blood cell (RBC) transfusions and outcomes among very preterm infants (VPIs) are lacking in China. This study aims to describe the use and variation of RBC transfusion among VPIs in China. Materials and Methods: This cohort study was conducted among 70 tertiary hospitals participating in the Chinese Neonatal Network (CHNN) from 2019 to 2020 across China. All VPIs admitted to the CHNN neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) were included. Results: A total of 13,447 VPIs were enrolled, of whom 7026 (52.2%) received ≥1 RBC transfusions. The mean number of transfusions per infant was 2 (interquartile range [IQR] 1–4 times) and the median age at first transfusion was 15 days (IQR 3–27 days). The transfusion rate was higher in critically ill infants compared with non‐critically ill infants (70.5% vs. 39.3%). The transfusion rate varied widely (13.5%–95.0%) between different NICUs. The prevalence of death, severe intra‐ventricular haemorrhage, necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) or spontaneous intestinal perforation (SIP), sepsis, bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD), severe retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) and cystic periventricular leukomalacia (cPVL) was significantly higher in the transfused group. Among non‐critically ill infants, RBC transfusion was independently associated with BPD, severe ROP and cPVL. Conclusion: Our study, providing the first baseline data on RBC transfusions among VPIs in China, shows an alarmingly high RBC transfusion rate with significant site variations. BACKGROUND: RNA interference (RNAi) is the sequence‐dependent suppression of gene expression by double‐stranded RNA (dsRNA). This is a promising strategy for the control of insect pests because dsRNA can be rationally designed to maximize efficacy and biosafety, the latter by using sequences that are found in target pests but are safe for non‐target insects. However, this has yet to be optimized in aphids, destructive sap‐sucking pests that also transmit plant viruses. We used the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) as a case study to optimize the efficiency of RNAi by applying a novel fusion dsRNA design. RESULTS: Comparative transcriptomics revealed a number of genes that are induced in feeding aphids, and eight candidate genes were chosen as RNAi targets. To improve RNAi efficiency, our fusion dsRNA design approach combined optimal gene fragments (highly conserved in several aphid species but with less homology in beneficial insects such as the predator ladybeetle Propylea japonica) from three candidate genes. We compared this RNAi‐based biological control approach with conventional chemical control using imidacloprid. We found that the fusion dsRNA strategy inhibited the aphid population to a significantly greater extent than single‐target RNAi and did not affect ladybeetle fitness, allowing an additive effect between RNAi and natural predation, whereas imidacloprid was harmful to aphids and ladybeetles. This study investigates the ablation resistance of C/C–SiC composites using the ground simulation internal flow‐field supersonic oxygen‐rich ablation test technology. The microstructure evolution and ablation mechanism of the composites in a supersonic oxygen‐rich environment were explored by examining the macroscopic and microscopic ablation morphologies of the composites before and after the test. The results demonstrate that C/C–SiC composites exhibit excellent ablation resistance, with mass and linear ablation rates of.46 × 10−2 g/s and.42 × 10−2 mm/s, respectively, after 120 s of ablation in a low gas temperature and high oxygen‐rich ablation thermal environment. As the gas temperature increases, the mass and linear ablation rates of C/C–SiC composites gradually increase, even though the oxygen enrichment within the gas components decreases. When the gas temperature reaches 2178–2491 K, the mass and linear ablation rates increase to 1.31 × 10−2 g/s and.84 × 10−2 mm/s, respectively. Furthermore, at high temperatures above 2650 K, the mass and linear ablation rates of the composites exhibit a geometric multiple increase, reaching 4.73 × 10−2 g/s and 1.89 × 10−2 mm/s, respectively. These findings indicate that the ablation resistance of C/C–SiC composites in the supersonic oxygen‐rich ablation environment is more sensitive to gas temperature than oxygen enrichment. The main factors contributing to the increased ablation rate of C/C–SiC composites in the supersonic oxygen‐rich ablation process include the formation of a glass SiO2 oxide film, transition to molten SiO2, erosion of molten SiO2, and high‐temperature sublimation of the SiC matrix. BACKGROUND: The melon fly, Zeugodacus cucurbitae (Coquillett), is an invasive Tephritidae pest with robust fertility. The male accessory glands (MAGs) form a vital organ that ensures insect reproductive efficiency. Most of the secreted proteins by MAGs exhibit a male bias expression. Takeout, one of these proteins, is abundantly present in the MAGs of many insects. RESULTS: In this study, we identified 32 takeout genes in Z. cucurbitae. The phylogenetic analysis and multiple sequence alignment results showed that Zctakeout1 is the most related homolog to the MAGs‐specific takeout in Tephritidae. The real‐time quantitative PCR results showed that Zctakeout1 was exclusively expressed in the male adult stage, and its expression level gradually increased with the increase in age and then remained stable at the sexually matured stage. The distribution among tissues demonstrated the specific expression of Zctakeout1 in the MAGs, and fluorescence immunohistochemical results confirmed the presence of Zctakeout1 in close proximity to binuclear cells of the mesoderm epidermal MAGs. In continuation, CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated genome editing was employed, resulting in successfully generating a homozygous strain with an +8 bp insertion. The mating experiments with the Zctakeout1−/− males resulted in significant reductions in both the mating rate and egg production of females. CONCLUSION: These findings prove that the MAGs‐specific Zctakeout1 is essential in regulating fecundity in female Z. cucurbitae fruit flies. Objective: This study seeks to construct a machine learning model that merges clinical characteristics with ultrasound radiomic analysis—encompassing both the intratumoral and peritumoral—to predict the status of axillary lymph nodes in patients with early‐stage breast cancer. Methods: The study employed retrospective methods, collecting clinical information, ultrasound data, and postoperative pathological results from 321 breast cancer patients (including 224 in the training group and 97 in the validation group). Through correlation analysis, univariate analysis, and Lasso regression analysis, independent risk factors related to axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer were identified from conventional ultrasound and immunohistochemical indicators, and a clinical feature model was constructed. Additionally, features were extracted from ultrasound images of the intratumoral and its 1–5 mm peritumoral to establish a radiomics feature formula. Furthermore, by combining clinical features and ultrasound radiomics features, six machine learning models (Logistic Regression, Decision Tree, Support Vector Machine, Extreme Gradient Boosting, Random Forest, and K‐Nearest Neighbors) were compared for diagnostic efficacy, and constructing a joint prediction model based on the optimal ML algorithm. The use of Shapley Additive Explanations (SHAP) enhanced the visualization and interpretability of the model during the diagnostic process. Results: Among the 321 breast cancer patients, 121 had axillary lymph node metastasis, and 200 did not. The clinical feature model had an AUC of 0.779 and 0.777 in the training and validation groups, respectively. Radiomics model analysis showed that the model including the Intratumor +3 mm peritumor area had the best diagnostic performance, with AUCs of 0.847 and 0.844 in the training and validation groups, respectively. The joint prediction model based on the XGBoost algorithm reached AUCs of 0.917 and 0.905 in the training and validation groups, respectively. SHAP analysis indicated that the Rad Score had the highest weight in the prediction model, playing a significant role in predicting axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer. Conclusion: The predictive model, which integrates clinical features and radiomic characteristics using the XGBoost algorithm, demonstrates significant diagnostic value for axillary lymph node metastasis in breast cancer. This model can provide significant references for preoperative surgical strategy selection and prognosis evaluation for breast cancer patients, helping to reduce postoperative complications and improve long‐term survival rates. Aerogels, as kinetic energy absorbing materials, can find crucial applications for safeguarding in transportation, sports, buildings, construction, and aerospace. However, the highly porous structure makes it extremely fragile for endurance usage. In this study, a half‐full filled structure has been proposed, and the concept has been demonstrated based on shear thickening fluid (STF) and chemically vapor deposited carbon nanotube aerogels (CNTAs), in which the outer part of CNTA is filled with STF while the inner core keeping unfilled. Chemical vapor deposition significantly enhances the elasticity and electromagnetic shielding performance of the native CNTA. The half‐full filled aerogels (HFFA) show a 348% increase in energy absorption compared to the CNTA. At the same time, the density, electronic conductivity, and electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) of the HFFAs are 0.117 g cm−3, 1213 S m−1, and 69.52 dB (which is a neglectable reduction of 0.63% compared to native CNTA), respectively. The HFFA strategy provides an alternative route to fabricate robust aerogels with a remarkable increase of target properties while maintaining other properties, such as low density, high pore volume, and conductivity, with limited changes. Lithium–sulfur (Li−S) battery with a sulfurized polyacrylonitrile cathode is a promising alternative to Li‐ion systems. However, the sluggish charge transfer of cathode and accumulation of inactive Li on anode remain persistent challenges. An advanced electrolyte additive with function towards both cathode and anode holds great promise to address these issues. Herein, we present a new strategy to boost sulfur activity and rejuvenate dead Li simultaneously. In the polar electrolyte containing I2−LiNO3 additives, I3−/IO3− are triggered significantly by the reaction between NO3− and I− ions. The I3−/IO3− are reactive to insulated Li2S product of cathode and inactive Li on anode, thus accelerating the conversion reaction of sulfur and recovering Li sources back to battery cycling. The in situ/ex situ spectroscopic and morphologic monitoring reveal the crucial role of iodine in promoting Li2S dissociation and inhibiting dendritic Li growth. With the modified electrolyte, the symmetric Li||Li cells deliver a lifespan of 4000 h with an overpotential less than 12 mV at 0.5 mA cm−2. For Li−S cells, 100 % capacity retention up to thousands of cycles and enhanced rate capability are available. Gel polymer‐based lithium batteries exhibit a unique combination of advantageous properties, including the favorable interfacial contact characteristic of liquid‐state batteries and the inherent stability of solid‐state batteries. For Li–air batteries operated in the semi‐open atmosphere, implementing in situ synthesized gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) is effective in mitigating the environment‐induced challenges. In this study, a dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)‐based GPE in situ initiated by the toluene‐2,4‐diisocyanate (TDI) and 1,4‐benzenediboronic acid (BDBA) is designed to enable the stable operation of lithium–air batteries. The integration of in situ polymerization and polyvinyl alcohol's functional group engineering not only brings benefits to the interfacial contact and electrochemical stability of the battery but also mitigates the moisture sensitivity and volatility of the DMSO electrolyte in the ambient environment. In addition, the GPE can promote the formation of a robust protection film on the lithium surface. As a result, the designed GPE makes the batteries fully leverage their outstanding cycling stability in the ambient environment (241 cycles at 500 mA g−1 and 1000 mAh g−1). Moreover, an optimized Li–air pouch cell structure incorporating the GPE achieves a boasted energy density of 757.5 Wh kg−1, providing a significant technical pathway to bring Li–O2 batteries to practical Li–air batteries. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) has been widely used as a minimally invasive biomarker in clinical routine. However, a number of factors such as panel design, sample quality, patients' disease stages are known to influence ctDNA detection sensitivity. In this study, we systematically evaluated common factors associated with the variability of ctDNA detection in plasma and investigated ctDNA abundance in bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL). Whole exome profiling was conducted on 61 tumor tissue samples to identify tumor‐specific variants, which were then used to design personalized assay MarRyDa® for ctDNA detection. DNA extracted from BAL fluid and plasma were genotyped using MarRyDa® platform. Our analysis showed that histological subtypes and disease stages had significant differences in ctDNA detection rate. Furthermore, we found that DNA purified from BAL supernatants contains the highest levels of ctDNA compared with BAL precipitates and plasma; therefore, utilizing BAL supernatants for tumor detection might provide additional benefits. Finally, we demonstrated that tumor cellularity played significant roles in the design of personalized ctDNA panel which eventually impacts ctDNA detection sensitivity. Schiff bases are a crucial component in various functional materials but often exhibit non‐emissive behavior which significantly limits their potential applications as luminescent materials. However, traditional approaches to convert them into aggregate emitters often require intricate molecular design, tedious synthesis, and significant time and resource consumption. Herein, we present a cocrystallization‐induced emission strategy that can transform non‐emissive (hetero)aryl‐substituted Schiff bases into green‐yellow to yellow aggregate emitters via even simple grinding of a mixture of Schiff bases and 1,2,4,5‐tetracyanobenzene (TCB) mixtures. The combined experimental and theoretical analysis revealed that the cocrystallization inhibits the C=N isomerization and promotes face‐to‐face π–π interaction, which restricts access to both the dark state and canonical intersection to ultimately induce emission. Furthermore, the induced emission enables the observation of solid‐state molecular diffusion through fluorescence signals, advancing white light emission diodes, and notably, solution‐processed organic light‐emitting diodes based on cocrystal for the first time. This study not only highlights the potential of developing new C=N structural motifs for AIEgens but also could boost advancements in related structure motifs like C=C and N=N. Sporopollenin, as the main component of the pollen exine, is a highly resistant polymer that provides structural integrity under unfavourable environmental conditions. Tetraketone α‐pyrone reductase 1 (TKPR1) is essential for sporopollenin formation, catalyzing the reduction of tetraketone carbonyl to hydroxylated α‐pyrone. The functional role of TKPR1 in male sterility has been reported in flowering plants such as maize, rice, and Arabidopsis. However, the molecular cloning and functional characterization of TKPR1 in cotton remain unaddressed. In this study, we identified 68 TKPR1s from four cotton species, categorized into three clades. Transcriptomics and RT‐qPCR demonstrated that GhTKPR1_8 exhibited typical expression patterns in the tetrad stage of the anther. GhTKPR1_8 was localized to the endoplasmic reticulum. Moreover, ABORTED MICROSPORES (GhAMS) transcriptionally activated GhTKPR1_8 as indicated by luciferase complementation tests. GhTKPR1_8‐knockdown inhibited anther dehiscence and reduced pollen viability in cotton. Additionally, overexpression of GhTKPR1_8 in the attkpr1 mutant restored its male sterile phenotype. Daily monitoring of psychological parameters, encompassing chemical and physical signals, has become increasingly valuable for the management of chronic diseases. Among various vital signs, carbon dioxide exchange and pulse rate (PR) serve as critical indicators for the comprehensive assessment of the cardiopulmonary system. However, simultaneous monitoring of these chemical and physical signals in a nonintrusive manner is challenging. This study presents a wearable bracelet that enables simultaneous monitoring of transcutaneous carbon dioxide (TcCO2) and PR using a nanomaterials‐modified lensless CMOS imager. The proposed bracelet exhibits exceptional sensitivity, selectivity, and anti‐humidity interference in TcCO2 detection, and achieves reliable tracking of TcCO2 and PR fluctuations induced by daily activities, demonstrating great potential in the comprehensive assessment of cardiopulmonary system. In addition, the proposed compact imaging approach is multiplexed and extensible, providing a promising sensing platform for the future development of multifunctional wearable devices. Recent developments in single‐cell sequencing technology enable the acquisition of entire transcriptome data. Understanding the underlying mechanism and identifying the driving force of transcriptional regulation governing cell function directly from these data remains challenging. This study reconstructs a continuous vector field of the cell cycle based on discrete single‐cell RNA velocity to quantify the single‐cell global nonequilibrium dynamic landscape‐flux. It reveals that large fluctuations disrupt the global landscape and genetic perturbations alter landscape‐flux, thus identifying key genes in maintaining cell cycle dynamics and predicting associated functional effects. Additionally, it quantifies the fundamental energy cost of the cell cycle initiation and unveils that sustaining the cell cycle requires curl flux and dissipation to maintain the oscillatory phase coherence. This study enables the inference of the cell cycle gene regulatory networks directly from the single‐cell transcriptomic data, including the feedback mechanisms and interaction intensity. This provides a golden opportunity to experimentally verify the landscape‐flux theory and also obtain its associated quantifications. It also offers a unique framework for combining the landscape‐flux theory and single‐cell high‐through sequencing experiments for understanding the underlying mechanisms of the cell cycle and can be extended to other nonequilibrium biological processes, such as differentiation development and disease pathogenesis. Objectives: The recommended treatment for limited‐stage small‐cell lung cancer (LS‐SCLC) is a combination of thoracic radiotherapy (TRT) and etoposide plus cisplatin (EP) chemotherapy, typically administered over 4–6 cycles. Nonetheless, the optimal duration of chemotherapy is still not determined. This study aimed to compare the outcomes of patients with LS‐SCLC who received either 6 cycles or 4–5 cycles of EP chemotherapy combined with TRT. Materials and Methods: In this retrospective analysis, we utilized data from our prior prospective trial to analyze the outcomes of 265 LS‐SCLC patients who received 4–6 courses of EP combined with concurrent accelerated hyperfractionated TRT between 2002 and 2017. Patients were categorized into two groups depending on their number of chemotherapy cycles: 6 or 4–5 cycles. To assess overall survival (OS) and progression‐free survival (PFS), we employed the Kaplan–Meier method after conducting propensity score matching (PSM). Results: Among the 265 LS‐SCLC patients, 60 (22.6%) received 6 cycles of EP chemotherapy, while 205 (77.4%) underwent 4–5 cycles. Following PSM (53 patients for each group), the patients in the 6 cycles group exhibited a significant improvement in OS and PFS in comparison to those in the 4–5 cycles group [median OS: 29.8 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 23.6–53.1 months) vs. 22.7 months (95% CI, 20.8–29.1 months), respectively, p = 0.019; median PFS: 17.9 months (95% CI, 13.7–30.5 months) vs. 12.0 months (95% CI, 9.8–14.2 months), respectively, p = 0.006]. The two‐year and five‐year OS rates were 60.38% and 29.87% in the 6 cycles group, whereas 47.17% and 15.72% in the 4–5 cycles group, respectively. Conclusion: Patients diagnosed with LS‐SCLC who were treated with EP regimen chemotherapy combined with TRT exhibited notably enhanced survival when administered 6 cycles of chemotherapy, as compared to those who underwent only 4–5 cycles. As a sustainable valorization route, electrochemical glycerol oxidation reaction (GOR) involves in formation of key OH* and selective adsorption/cleavage of C−C(O) intermediates with multi‐step electron transfer, thus suffering from high potential and poor formate selectivity for most non‐noble‐metal‐based electrocatalysts. So, it remains challenging to understand the structure–property relationship as well as construct synergistic sites to realize high‐activity and high‐selectivity GOR. Herein, we successfully achieve dual‐high performance with low potentials and superior formate selectivity for GOR by forming synergistic Lewis and Brønsted acid sites in Ni‐alloyed Co‐based spinel. The optimized NiCo oxide solid‐acid electrocatalyst exhibits low reaction potential (1.219 V@10 mA/cm2) and high formate selectivity (94.0 %) toward GOR. In situ electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and pH‐dependence measurements show that the Lewis acid centers could accelerate OH* production, while the Brønsted acid centers are proved to facilitate high‐selectivity formation of formate. Theoretical calculations reveal that NiCo alloyed oxide shows appropriate d‐band center, thus balancing adsorption/desorption of C−O intermediates. In recent years, metal compound‐based heterojunctions have received increasing attention from researchers as a candidate anode for lithium/sodium‐ion batteries, because heterojunction anodes possess unique interfaces, robust architectures, and synergistic effects, thus promoting Li/Na ions storage and accelerating ions/electrons transport. Exhilaratingly, the development of heterostructures has made rapid progress in the field of energy storage, greatly encouraging the industrialization of high energy and power density Li/Na ion batteries. However, there are few in‐detail and in‐depth reviews on the energy storage mechanism, synthesis routes, characterization methods and electrochemical performance of metal compound‐based heterojunction anodes. Herein, a deeper understanding of the correlation between the building blocks of heterojunctions and their enhanced electrochemical behaviors are summarized. Furthermore, various synthesis routes and characterization methods for heterostructure anodes are roundly reviewed. Panonychus citri McGregor (Acari: Tetranychidae), a destructive citrus pest, causes considerable annual economic losses due to its short lifespan and rapid resistance development. MicroRNA (miRNA)‐induced RNA interference is a promising approach for pest control because of endogenous regulation of pest growth and development. To search for miRNAs with potential insecticidal activity in P. citri, genome‐wide analysis of miRNAs at different developmental stages was conducted, resulting in the identification of 136 miRNAs, including 73 known and 63 novel miRNAs. A total of 17 isomiRNAs and 12 duplicated miRNAs were characterized. MiR‐1 and miR‐252‐5p were identified as reference miRNAs for P. citri and Tetranychus urticae. Based on differential expression analysis, treatments with miR‐let‐7a and miR‐315 mimics and the miR‐let‐7a antagomir significantly reduced the egg hatch rate and resulted in abnormal egg development. Overexpression or downregulation of miR‐34‐5p and miR‐305‐5p through feeding significantly decreased the adult eclosion rate and caused molting defects. The 4 miRNAs, miR‐let‐7a, miR‐315, miR‐34‐5p, and miR‐305‐5p, had important regulatory functions and insecticidal properties in egg hatching and adult eclosion. Aims: Subsyndromal depression (SSD) is common in mild cognitive impairment (MCI). However, the neural mechanisms underlying MCI with SSD (MCID) are unclear. The default mode network (DMN) is associated with cognitive processes and depressive symptoms. Therefore, we aimed to explore the topological organization of the DMN in patients with MCID. Methods: Forty‐two MCID patients, 34 MCI patients without SSD (MCIND), and 36 matched healthy controls (HCs) were enrolled. The resting‐state functional connectivity of the DMN of the participants was analyzed using a graph theoretical approach. Correlation analyses of network topological metrics, depressive symptoms, and cognitive function were conducted. Moreover, support vector machine (SVM) models were constructed based on topological metrics to distinguish MCID from MCIND. Finally, we used 10 repeats of 5‐fold cross‐validation for performance verification. Results: We found that the global efficiency and nodal efficiency of the left anterior medial prefrontal cortex (aMPFC) of the MCID group were significantly lower than the MCIND group. Moreover, small‐worldness and global efficiency were negatively correlated with depressive symptoms in MCID, and the nodal efficiency of the left lateral temporal cortex and left aMPFC was positively correlated with cognitive function in MCID. In cross‐validation, the SVM model had an accuracy of 0.83 [95% CI 0.79–0.87], a sensitivity of 0.88 [95% CI 0.86–0.90], a specificity of 0.75 [95% CI 0.72–0.78] and an area under the curve of 0.88 [95% CI 0.85–0.91]. Conclusions: The coexistence of MCI and SSD was associated with the greatest disrupted topological organization of the DMN. The network topological metrics could identify MCID and serve as biomarkers of different clinical phenotypic presentations of MCI. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Indoor photovoltaics (IPVs) have garnered significant attention in recent years due to their potential to empower small portable electronic devices and the Internet of Things. After silicon solar cells, it is now widely acknowledged that the dominant technology in the field of outdoor photovoltaics/IPVs is hybrid lead (Pb) halide perovskites. Despite the fascinating characteristics of hybrid Pb halide perovskites, the presence of toxic Pb is regarded as one of the major factors that prevent commercialization. Low‐toxic, Pb‐free, and stable perovskites are also being used in outdoor solar cells (ODSCs), but their efficiencies are low due to large bandgap (i.e., ≈2.0 eV). Recently, some of the stable, Pb‐free perovskite materials have drawn great interest due to their initial performance across various fields, including light‐emitting diodes, photodetectors, X‐rays, photocatalysis, ODSCs, and in IPVs. In this perspective, the current status and prospects for Pb‐free halide perovskites, chalcogen perovskites, silver bismuth halide (AaBbXa + 3b) family, and other chalcogen materials are summarized and being explored to speed up the progress of IPVs. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic and incurable disorder associated with higher cancer risk and currently faces unsatisfactory treatment outcomes. Ferroptotic cells secrete damage‐associated molecular patterns (DAMPs) that recruit and activate immune cells, particularly macrophages. Magnolin has excellent antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory properties, but its effect on IBD has not yet been clearly understood. This study aimed to investigate the therapeutic effects and mechanism of magnolin in IBD. For this purpose, in vivo and in vitro colitis models were established using dextran sulfate sodium (DSS), followed by optimization of magnolin concentration 2.5 μg/mL in vitro and 5 mg/kg in vivo. Bioinformatics analysis identified potential magnolin target sites and evaluated ferroptosis‐associated gene expressions. Body weight, food intake, disease activity index (DAI), pathological changes, and inflammation levels were assessed. The effect of magnolin on ferroptosis and macrophages was evaluated using quantitative real time‐polymerase chain reaction (qRT‐PCR), immunofluorescent staining, flow cytometry, enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and western blotting. Results indicated that magnolin at a lower dose (5 mg/kg) alleviated DSS‐induced colitis symptoms and reduced inflammation in mice. The bioinformatics analysis showed arachidonate 5‐lipoxygenase (ALOX5) as a potential magnolin target. Furthermore, magnolin inhibited the expression of ALOX5 with no effect on GPX4. Moreover, magnolin regulated macrophage differentiation into the M2 phenotype and suppressed pro‐inflammatory factors, that is, interleukin‐6 and tumor necrosis factor‐α (IL‐6 and TNFα). These results suggested that magnolin possesses significant therapeutic potential in treating IBD by suppressing ALOX5‐mediated ferroptosis, inhibiting M1 while promoting M2 macrophages, which is envisaged to provide novel strategies for treating IBD. Geoscientific models have rapidly developed in recent decades as effective tools to understand the past, perceive the present, and predict the future. However, with the increasing number of models available, discovering suitable ones and applying them properly in problem‐solving situations has become more challenging. Existing materials describing geoscientific models (e.g., articles, manuals, handbooks, metadata documents, and web pages) are scattered and varied in structure and content. To help model users from different disciplinary backgrounds find, access, implement, and reuse models more conveniently, we propose an open knowledge framework for geoscientific models. The knowledge framework includes three levels: a resource level for indicating where to find a model, a connection level for indicating what materials are related to a model, and an application level for indicating how the model is applied. Through such a three‐level framework, model users can collaboratively provide descriptive information for a model, link different materials to a model (e.g., data, references, and tools), and contribute experiences regarding model application in practical cases (as reusable solutions). Thus, a web‐based community can be formed to facilitate the better use of geoscientific models. This article introduces the Open Geographic Modeling and Simulation System (OpenGMS) as the implementation of this open knowledge framework.
