As a very prospective solid‐state electrolyte, Li10GeP2S12 (LGPS) exhibits high ionic conductivity comparable to liquid electrolytes. However, severe self‐decomposition and Li dendrite propagation of LGPS will be triggered due to the thermodynamic incompatibility with Li metal anode. Herein, by adopting a facile chemical vapor deposition method, an artificial solid electrolyte interphase composed of Li2S is proposed as a single ionic conductor to promote the interface stability of LGPS toward Li. The good electronic insulation coupled with ionic conduction property of Li2S effectively blocks electron transfer from Li to LGPS while enabling smooth passage of Li ions. Meanwhile, the generated Li2S layer remains good interface compatibility with LGPS, which is verified by the stable Li‐plating/stripping operation for over 500 h at 0.15 mA cm−2. Consequently, the all‐solid‐state Li–S batteries (ASSLSBs) with a Li2S layer demonstrate superb capacity retention of 90.8% at 0.2 mA cm−2 after 100 cycles. Even at the harsh condition of 90 °C, the cell can deliver a high reversible capacity of 1318.8 mAh g−1 with decent capacity retention of 88.6% after 100 cycles. Summary Belief rule base (BRB) is an effective nonlinear relationship modeling approach. It has been widely used in the fault diagnosis of electromechanical systems. To improve the performance of the BRB‐based diagnostic model, a two‐phase features extraction approach called CNPCA based on complex network (CN) and principal component analysis (PCA) is proposed in this paper. In the first phase, the weighted visibility graph method is applied to transform the time series data of monitored variables into complex networks. Then the statistical attributes of the constructed networks are extracted as the initial features. In the second phase, the PCA method is used to process the initial features and the principal component features are obtained. After that, the CNPCA‐BRB diagnostic model for the electromechanical system is constructed. The experimental results of the elevator fault diagnosis show that the constructed diagnostic model outperforms better than the classical ones. Designing autonomously oscillating materials is highly desirable for emerging smart material fields but challenging. Herein, a type of hypercrosslinked metal–organic polyhedra (HCMOPs) membranes formed by covalent crosslinking of boronic acid‐modified Zr‐based MOPs with polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) are rationally designed. In these membranes, MOPs serve as high‐connectivity nodes and provide dynamic borate bonds with PVA in hypercrosslinked networks, which can be broken/formed reversibly upon the stimulus of water vapor. The humidity response characteristic of HCMOPs promotes their self‐oscillating and self‐healing properties. HCMOP membranes can realize a self‐oscillating property above the water surface even after loading a cargo that is 1.5 times the weight of the membrane due to the fast adsorption and desorption kinetics. Finally, the HCMOP actuator can realize energy conversion from mechanical energy into electricity when coupled with a piezoelectric membrane. Prospecting for and exploiting buried mineral deposits is currently challenging. Given their high precision and resolution, reflection seismic methods might be useful in such applications involving deep mineral deposits. However, there are few open seismic datasets available from mineral deposit exploration, especially in hardrock environments. The world‐class Caosiyao porphyry Molybdenum deposit (1.76 Mt) in the Jining area of Inner Mongolia, China, is largely covered by loess layers, which poses challenges to its exploration. Seismic reflection surveys were conducted to help delineate the deep granite porphyry intrusions and associated orebodies. This paper presents the raw seismic reflection dataset from three profiles on the Caosiyao deposit area, which can be used as a standard dataset for reflection seismic processing in shallow coverage and hardrock areas. Situated at the juxtaposition of the Khondalite Belt and the Trans‐North China Orogen in the northern North China Craton, the Jining region hosts considerable known porphyry Mo deposits. Although plasticizing materials by modification with small‐molecular chemicals has been extensively utilized in the industrial community, processing poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) at high concentrations (CPVA) or with a high degree of polymerization (DP) remains challenging. Optimization the plasticizing conditions is one means of addressing this issue. In this study, two types of frequently used plasticizers, glycerol (GLY) and diethanolamine (DEA), are chosen to plasticize PVA resin with a DP of 2400. Both PVA/plasticizer films possess excellent optical transmittance and mechanical ductility, whereas the films blended with DEA exhibit higher strength than the PVA/GLY films. The viscosity variation in the temperature (Top)–CPVA space is monitored by real‐time viscous flow testing, demonstrating that DEA is more effective for reducing the viscosity of PVA, which should improve the processability, facilitating film‐forming from concentrated solutions. Furthermore, density functional theory calculations and molecular dynamics simulations illustrate that the PVA/DEA system has a lower binding energy, longer hydrogen bond length, and higher isotropic diffusion coefficient, indicating a stable hydrogen bond network and homogenous dispersion of the plasticizer, leading to good solution fluidity and mechanical performance. Adsorption‐based removal of carbon dioxide (CO2) from gas mixtures has demonstrated great potential for solving energy security and environmental sustainability challenges. However, due to similar physicochemical properties between CO2 and other gases as well as the co‐adsorption behavior, the selectivity of CO2 is severely limited in currently reported CO2‐selective sorbents. To address the challenge, we create a bioinspired design strategy and report a robust, microporous metal–organic framework (MOF) with unprecedented [Mn86] nanocages. Attributed to the existence of unique enzyme‐like confined pockets, strong coordination interactions and dipole‐dipole interactions are generated for CO2 molecules, resulting in only CO2 molecules fitting in the pocket while other gas molecules are prohibited. Thus, this MOF can selectively remove CO2 from various gas mixtures and show record‐high selectivities of CO2/CH4 and CO2/N2 mixtures. Highly efficient CO2/C2H2, CO2/CH4, and CO2/N2 separations are achieved, as verified by experimental breakthrough tests. This work paves a new avenue for the fabrication of adsorbents with high CO2 selectivity and provides important guidance for designing highly effective adsorbents for gas separation. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs) are an emerging class of porous crystalline polymers with well‐defined structures and tunable functionalities, which have fascinating applications in a wide range of fields. However, the synthetic procedures of COFs are mainly confined to the solvothermal synthesis method which usually requires harsh experimental conditions. In this work, an effective solvent‐free synthesis method to construct a series of two‐dimensional (2D) COFs including imine‐linked, azine‐linked, β‐ketoenamine‐linked, which avoids the complicated solvent screening process and most of the disadvantages of solvothermal methods is developed. The crystallinity and porosity of these COFs are comparable to those prepared by traditional solvothermal routes. What's more, the advantages of the solvent‐free method enable the production of gram‐scale of those 2D COFs through a one‐pot reaction, demonstrating high industrial application potentials. Enzyme immobilization has been demonstrated to be a favorable protocol for promoting the industrialization of bioactive molecules, but still with formidable challenge. Addressing this challenge, we create a dynamic defect generation strategy for enzyme immobilization by using the dissociation equilibrium of metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) mediated by enzymes. Enzymes can act as "macro ligands" to generate competitive coordination against original ligands, along with the release of metal clusters of MOFs to generate defects, hence promoting the gradual transport of enzymes from the surface to inside. Various enzymes can be efficiently immobilized in MOFs to afford composites with good enzymatic activities, protective performances and exceptional reusabilities. Moreover, multienzyme bioreactors capable of efficient cascade reactions can also be generated. Herein, near‐full‐density Ti6Al4V components are prepared by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). The microstructural evolution and mechanical properties in different deposition planes are investigated to explore their anisotropic behavior. The internal defects of the LPBF‐fabricated Ti6Al4V components mainly included round‐like pores, primarily caused by metal vapor and entrapped gas during solidification. The microstructure of the horizontal plane consists of a large amount of α′/α martensite within a near‐equiaxed β matrix. In addition to similar acicular martensites, the columnar β grains within the vertical plane are induced by the steep thermal gradient along the deposition direction. Compared to that in the vertical plane, the microhardness in the horizontal plane is improved mainly due to the grain boundary strengthening mechanism. The transverse tensile strength and elongation are superior to the longitudinal ones, and the failure mode is transformed from ductile to brittle. Such anisotropic behavior in the tensile properties is primarily attributed to the varied microstructural evolution in the different deposition planes. This work demonstrates that LPBF‐fabricated Ti6Al4V alloys contain acicular α′/α martensites, which consequently enhance the strength/hardness properties, despite the anisotropic performances caused by the columnar β grains. Two C2H6‐selective metal‐organic framework (MOF) adsorbents with ultrahigh stability, high surface areas, and suitable pore size have been designed and synthesized for one‐step separation of ethane/ethylene (C2H6/C2H4) under humid conditions to produce polymer‐grade pure C2H4. Experimental results reveal that these two MOFs not only adsorb a high amount of C2H6 but also display good C2H6/C2H4 selectivity verified by fixed bed column breakthrough experiments. Most importantly, the good water stability and hydrophobic pore environments make these two MOFs capable of efficiently separating C2H6/C2H4 under humid conditions, exhibiting the benchmark performance among all reported adsorbents for separation of C2H6/C2H4 under humid conditions. Moreover, the affinity sites and their static adsorption energies were successfully revealed by single crystal data and computation studies. Developing new materials for anhydrous proton conduction under high‐temperature conditions is significant and challenging. Herein, we create a series of highly crystalline covalent organic frameworks (COFs) via a pore engineering approach. We simultaneously engineer the pore geometry (generating concave dodecagonal nanopores) and pore surface (installing multiple functional groups such as −C=N−, −OH, −N=N− and −CF3) to improve the utilization efficiency and host–guest interaction of proton carriers, hence benefiting the enhancement of anhydrous proton conduction. Upon loading with H3PO4, COFs can realize a proton conductivity of 2.33×10−2 S cm−1 under anhydrous conditions, among the highest values of all COF materials. These materials demonstrate good stability and maintain high proton conductivity over a wide temperature range (80–160 °C). Regarding the global energy crisis, it is of profound significance to develop spontaneous power generators that harvest natural energy. Fabricating humidity‐responsive actuators that can conduct such energy transduction is of paramount importance. Herein, we incorporate covalent organic frameworks with flexible polyethylene glycol to fabricate rigid‐flexible coupled membrane actuators. This strategy significantly improves the mechanical properties and humidity‐responsive performance of the actuators, meanwhile, the existence of ordered structures enables us to unveil the actuation mechanism. These high‐performance actuators can achieve various actuation applications and exhibit interesting self‐oscillation behavior above a water surface. Finally, after being coupled with a piezoelectric film, the bilayer device can spontaneously output electricity over 2 days. Large‐scale and low‐cost synthesis of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) to meet the demands of industrial application remains formidably challenge. Here we report using 2,4,6‐collidine as monomer to produce a series of highly crystalline olefin‐linked COFs by a melt polymerization method. This method enables the kilogram‐scale fabrication of self‐shaped monolithic robust foams. The afforded COFs possess extremely low cost (<50 USD/kg), superior to all the reported COFs. Furthermore, using one‐pot or post‐modification methods can conveniently transform neutral COFs to ionic COFs, which can be applied as highly efficient ion‐exchange sorbents for scavenging oxoanion pollutants. Remarkably, the superior adsorption capacity of a model oxoanion (ReO4−) is the highest among crystalline porous materials reported so far. Coordination‐driven crosslinking networks with reversible and dynamic characteristics are gaining increasing interest in diverse application fields. Herein, we use a coordination crosslinking approach using metal‐organic polyhedra (MOPs) as high‐connectivity building blocks to post‐assemble a class of coordination hypercrosslinked MOP (CHMOP) polymers. The introduction of 12‐connected MOP nodes to the polymeric networks is critical to producing membranes that overcome the trade‐off between mechanical properties and dynamic healing, and meanwhile possess multifunctionalities including shape memory, solution processability, and 3D printing. The CHMOPs can also be used for anticorrosion coating and achieve function couplings, e.g. shape memory‐assisted self‐healing (SMASH), which have not been achieved in the MOP‐based hybrid materials yet. Covalent organic frameworks (COFs)‐based photocatalysts have received growing attention for photocatalytic hydrogen (H2) production. One of the big challenges in the field is to find ways to promote energy/electron transfer and exciton dissociation. Addressing this challenge, herein, a series of olefin‐linked 2D COFs is fabricated with high crystallinity, porosity, and robustness using a melt polymerization method without adding volatile organic solvents. It is found that regulation of the spatial distances between the acceptor units (triazine and 2, 2'‐bipyridine) of COFs to match the charge carrier diffusion length can dramatically promote the exciton dissociation, hence leading to outstanding photocatalytic H2 evolution performance. The COF with the appropriate acceptor distance achieves exceptional photocatalytic H2 evolution with an apparent quantum yield of 56.2% at 475 nm, the second highest value among all COF photocatalysts and 70 times higher than the well‐studied polymer carbon nitride. Various experimental and computation studies are then conducted to in‐depth unveil the mechanism behind the enhanced performance. Enzyme immobilization is essential to the commercial viability of various critical large‐scale biocatalytic processes. However, challenges remain for the immobilization systems, such as difficulties in loading large enzymes, enzyme leaching, and limitations for large‐scale fabrication. Herein, we describe a green and scalable strategy to prepare high‐performance biocatalysts through in situ assembly of enzymes with covalent organic frameworks (COFs) under ambient conditions (aqueous solution and room temperature). The obtained biocatalysts have exceptional reusability and stability and serve as efficient biocatalysts for important industrial reactions that cannot be efficiently catalyzed by free enzymes or traditional enzyme immobilization systems. Notably, this versatile enzyme immobilization platform is applicable to various COFs and enzymes. Fabricating mechanically responsive actuators that can efficiently convert external stimuli into mechanical work is of great significance for real‐world applications. Herein, we rationally design a class of rigid–flexible coupling crystalline crosslinked polymers (CCPs) to fabricate vapomechanically responsive actuators. Interfacial condensation reactions of flexible macromers with rigid monomers afford a series of freestanding CCP membranes. Notably, it is the first example where crosslinked polymers show high crystallinity and porosity. Moreover, the CCP membranes exhibit good mechanical properties and interesting vapor‐triggered actuation performance, which is reversible and repeatable. We find that the unusual polymer structures, high vapor sorption, and anisotropic membranes contribute to the directional deformation performance of the CCP actuators. Self‐assembly of N,N,N′,N′‐tetrakis(4‐carboxyphenyl)‐1,4‐phenylenediamine with the help of different solvents provides isostructural hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks (HOF‐30). Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction (SCXRD) analysis reveals HOF‐30 possesses 3D ten‐fold interpenetrated dia nets connected by two kinds of hydrogen bonds, namely solvent‐bridged carboxyl dimers and carboxyl⋅⋅⋅carboxyl dimers. Degassing treatment for HOF‐30 yields HOF‐30a with 3D ten‐fold interpenetrated dia nets but linked with sole carboxyl⋅⋅⋅carboxyl dimers. Reversible hydrogen‐bond‐to‐hydrogen‐bond transformation between solvent‐bridged carboxyl dimers in HOF‐30 and carboxyl⋅⋅⋅carboxyl dimers in HOF‐30a has been unveiled by single‐crystal and powder X‐ray diffraction. In addition, HOF‐30a enables the selective adsorption of propyne over propylene according to single‐component sorption and breakthrough experiments. Herein, we describe the synthesis of two highly crystalline, robust, hydrophilic covalent organic frameworks (COFs) that display intrinsic proton conduction by the Grotthuss mechanism. The enriched redox‐active azo groups in the COFs can undergo a proton‐coupled electron transfer reaction for energy storage, making the COFs ideal candidates for pseudocapacitance electrode materials. After in situ hybridization with carbon nanotubes, the composite exhibited a high three‐electrode specific capacitance of 440 F g−1 at the current density of 0.5 A g−1, among the highest for COF‐based supercapacitors, and can retain 90 % capacitance even after 10 000 charge–discharge cycles. This is the first example using Grotthuss proton‐conductive organic materials to create pseudocapacitors that exhibited both high power density and energy density. The assembled asymmetric two‐electrode supercapacitor showed a maximum energy density of 71 Wh kg−1 with a maximum power density of 42 kW kg−1, surpassing that of all reported COF‐based systems. Fabricating covalent organic frameworks (COFs) membranes with tight structure, which can fully utilize well‐defined framework structure and thus achieve superior conduction performance, remains a grand challenge. Herein, through molecular precursor engineering of COFs, we reported the fabrication of tight COFs membrane with the ever‐reported highest hydroxide ion conductivity over 200 mS cm−1 at 80 °C, 100 % RH. Six quaternary ammonium‐functionalized COFs were synthesized by assembling functional hydrazides and different aldehyde precursors. In an organic‐aqueous reaction system, the impact of the aldehyde precursors with different size, electrophilicity and hydrophilicity on the reaction‐diffusion process for fabricating COFs membranes was elucidated. Particularly, more hydrophilic aldehydes were prone to push the reaction zone from the interface region to the aqueous phase of the reaction system, the tight membranes were thus fabricated via phase‐transfer polymerization process, conferring around 4–8 times the anion conductivity over the loose membranes via interfacial polymerization process. Crystalline porous materials (CPMs) have been widely studied over the past few decades due to their well‐defined, customizable, and porous structures. However, the limited stability and machinability restrict their particle applications. Recently, a new trend to use hybrid strategies to bridge the gap between CPMs and flexible polymers has emerged as an effective solution to tackle the above issues. Polymers can be either cross‐linked within the framework or anchored to the outer surface of the materials, that endow CPMs with polymer features, such as flexibility, ductility, and machinability. Such resulting polymer‐tethered CPMs (named as polyCPMs) have demonstrated improved performances in many application scopes such as membrane separation, heterogeneous catalysis and smart response. This minireview highlights state of the art for the hybridization strategies of CPMs with flexible polymers, and provide a perspective on their potential applications and future directions. Traditional ozone sensing and removal materials still suffer from high energy consumption and low efficiency. Thus, seeking new ozone‐responsive materials with high efficiency and broad working conditions is of great significance. Herein, we first developed covalent organic frameworks (COFs) for smart sensing and efficient removal of ozone. Notably, imine‐based COFs possess dramatically fast optical responses (<1 s) to ozone as low as 0.1 ppm under broad working conditions (e.g., in the presence or absence of moisture, room temperature). Moreover, we found that imine‐based COFs can also be applied as excellent ozone removers that can efficiently reduce the ozone concentration below the recommended safety limit (<0.1 ppm) for humans. The mechanism for the performance of imine‐based COFs was unveiled in‐depth by various characterization techniques and analyses. Attributed to the unique topological complexity and elegant beauty, Borromean systems are attracting intense attention. However, at present, the construction of Borromean linked organic polymers remains a challenge. To address this formidable challenge, we developed a supramolecular‐synthon‐driven approach to fabricate Borromean linked organic polymer. The solvothermal condensation reaction of a judiciously selected trigonal pyramidal building block, 1,3,5‐Tris(4‐aminophenyl)adamantane, with linear dialdehyde building blocks allowed the construction of two rare covalent organic frameworks (COFs) with high crystallinity and robustness. Structure refinement unveiled the successful formation of entangled 2D→2D Borromean arrayed structures. Both the two COFs were of microporosity and thus demonstrated the potentials for gas separation. The successful synthesis of the first two Borromean linked organic polymers paves the avenue to expand the supramolecular‐synthon‐driven approach to other building blocks and topologies, and broadens the family and scope of COFs. An enzyme formulation using customized enzyme activators (metal ions) to directly construct metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) as enzyme protective carriers is presented. These MOF carriers can also serve as the disintegrating agents to simultaneously release enzymes and their activators during biocatalysis with boosted activities. This highly efficient enzyme preparation combines enzyme immobilization (enhanced stability, easy operation) and homogeneous biocatalysis (fast diffusion, high activity). The MOF serves as an ion pump that continuously provides metal ion activators that greatly promote the enzymatic activities (up to 251 %). This MOF–enzyme composite demonstrated an excellent protective effect against various perturbation environments. A mechanistic investigation revealed that the spontaneous activator/enzyme release and ion pumping enable enzymes to sufficiently interact with their activators owing to the proximity effects, leading to a boost in biocatalytic performance. To determine the occurrence and genotypes of Enterocytozoon bieneusi in captive mammals at Bangladesh National Zoo and to assess their zoonotic significance, 200 fecal samples from 32 mammalian species were examined using a nested PCR and sequencing of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) gene. Enterocytozoon bieneusi was detected in 16.5% (33/200) of the samples. Seven different ITS genotypes were identified, including two known genotypes (D and J) and five new ones (BAN4 to BAN8). Genotype D was the most common genotype being observed in 19 isolates. In phylogenetic analysis, four genotypes (D, BAN4, BAN5, and BAN6), detected in 30 isolates (90.9%), belonged to Group 1 having zoonotic potential. The sequence of genotype J found in a Malayan pangolin was clustered in so‐called ruminant‐specific Group 2. The other two genotypes BAN7 and BAN8 were clustered in primate‐specific Group 5. To our knowledge, this is the first report of molecular characterization of E. bieneusi in Bangladesh, particularly in captive‐bred wildlife in this country. The potentially zoonotic genotypes of E. bieneusi are maintained in zoo mammals that may transmit among these animals and to the humans through environmental contamination or contact. Fabrication of zeolite‐like metal–organic frameworks (ZMOFs) for advanced applications, such as enzyme immobilization, is of great interest but is a great synthetic challenge. Herein, we have developed a new strategy using proteins as structure‐directed agents to direct the formation of new ZMOFs that can act as versatile platforms for the in situ encapsulation of proteins under ambient conditions. Notably, protein incorporation directs the formation of a ZMOF with a sodalite (sod) topology instead of a non‐porous diamondoid (dia) topology under analogous synthetic conditions. Histidines in proteins play a crucial role in the observed templating effect. Modulating histidine content thereby influenced the resultant MOF product (from dia to dia + sod mixture and, ultimately, to sod MOF). Moreover, the resulting ZMOF‐incorporated proteins preserved their activity even after exposure to high temperatures and organic solvents, demonstrating their potential for biocatalysis and biopharmaceutical applications. Herein, for the first time, we present the successful synthesis of a novel two‐dimensional corrole‐based covalent organic framework (COF) by reacting the unusual approximately T‐shaped 5,10,15‐tris(p‐aminophenyl)corrole H3TPAPC with terephthalaldehyde, which adopts desymmetrized hcb topology and consists of a staggered AB stacking structure with elliptical pores. The resultant corrole‐based COF, TPAPC‐COF, exhibits high crystallinity and excellent chemical stability. The combination of extended π‐conjugated backbone and interlayer noncovalent π–π interactions endows TPAPC‐COF with excellent absorption capability in the entire visible‐light and even near‐infrared regions. Moreover, this work suggests the promise of TPAPC‐COF as a new class of photoactive material for efficient singlet‐oxygen generation with potential photodynamic therapy application as demonstrated by in vitro anticancer studies. Developing new materials for the fabrication of proton exchange membranes (PEMs) for fuel cells is of great significance. Herein, a series of highly crystalline, porous, and stable new covalent organic frameworks (COFs) have been developed by a stepwise synthesis strategy. The synthesized COFs exhibit high hydrophilicity and excellent stability in strong acid or base (e.g. 12 m NaOH or HCl) and boiling water. These features make them ideal platforms for proton conduction applications. Upon loading with H3PO4, the COFs (H3PO4@COFs) realize an ultrahigh proton conductivity of 1.13×10−1 S cm−1, the highest among all COF materials, and maintain high proton conductivity across a wide relative humidity (40–100 %) and temperature range (20–80 °C). Furthermore, membrane electrode assemblies were fabricated using H3PO4@COFs as the solid electrolyte membrane for proton exchange resulting in a maximum power density of 81 mW cm−2 and a maximum current density of 456 mA cm−2, which exceeds all previously reported COF materials. Preparation of large single crystals of linear polymers for X‐ray analysis is very challenging. Herein, we employ a coordination‐driven self‐assembly strategy to secure the appropriate head‐to‐tail alignment of anthracene moieties, and for the first time obtained large‐sized Pt‐based linear polymer crystals through a [4+4] cycloaddition of anthracene in a single‐crystal to single‐crystal fashion. Using X‐ray diffraction to determine the polymer crystal structure, we found that both the polymerisation and depolymerisation steps proceed via a stable intermediate. Taking advantage of the temperature‐dependent slow depolymerization, the Pt‐based linear polymer showed potential as a sustained release anticancer drug platform. Utilizing the reversible contraction effect of unit‐cell volume upon irradiation or heating, the stimuli‐responsive crystals were hybridized with polyvinylidene fluoride to obtain a "smart material" with outstanding photoactuator performance. In the evolution of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) for carbon capture, a lasting challenge is to strike a balance between high uptake capacity/selectivity and low energy cost for regeneration. Meanwhile, these man‐made materials have to survive from practical demands such as stability under harsh conditions and feasibility of scale‐up synthesis. Reported here is a new MOF, Zn(imPim) (aka. MAF‐stu‐1), with an imidazole derivative ligand, featuring binding pockets that can accommodate CO2 molecules in a fit‐like‐a‐glove manner. Such a high degree of shape complementarity allows direct observation of the loaded CO2 in the pockets, and warrants its optimal carbon capture performances exceeding the best‐performing MOFs nowadays. Coupled with the record thermal (up to 680 °C) and chemical stability, as well as rapid large‐scale production, both encoded in the material design, Zn(imPim) represents a most competitive candidate to tackle the immediate problems of carbon dioxide capture. Simultaneous removal of trace amounts of propyne and propadiene from propylene is an important but challenging industrial process. We report herein a class of microporous metal–organic frameworks (NKMOF‐1‐M) with exceptional water stability and remarkably high uptakes for both propyne and propadiene at low pressures. NKMOF‐1‐M separated a ternary propyne/propadiene/propylene (0.5 : 0.5 : 99.0) mixture with the highest reported selectivity for the production of polymer‐grade propylene (99.996 %) at ambient temperature, as attributed to its strong binding affinity for propyne and propadiene over propylene. Moreover, we were able to visualize propyne and propadiene molecules in the single‐crystal structure of NKMOF‐1‐M through a convenient approach under ambient conditions, which helped to precisely understand the binding sites and affinity for propyne and propadiene. Photomechanical molecular crystals are receiving much attention due to their efficient conversion of light into mechanical work and advantages including faster response time; higher Young's modulus; and ordered structure, as measured by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. Recently, various photomechanical crystals with different motions (contraction, expansion, bending, fragmentation, hopping, curling, and twisting) are appearing at the forefront of smart materials research. The photomechanical motions of these single crystals during irradiation are triggered by solid‐state photochemical reactions and accompanied by phase transformation. This Minireview summarizes recent developments in growing research into photoresponsive molecular crystals. The basic mechanisms of different kinds of photomechanical materials are described in detail; recent advances in photomechanical crystals for promising applications as smart materials are also highlighted. The separation of racemic compounds is important in many fields, such as pharmacology and biology. Taking advantage of the intrinsically strong chiral environment and specific interactions featured by biomolecules, here we contribute a general strategy is developed to enrich chirality into covalent organic frameworks (COFs) by covalently immobilizing a series of biomolecules (amino acids, peptides, enzymes) into achiral COFs. Inheriting the strong chirality and specific interactions from the immobilized biomolecules, the afforded biomolecules⊂COFs serve as versatile and highly efficient chiral stationary phases towards various racemates in both normal and reverse phase of high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The different interactions between enzyme secondary structure and racemates were revealed by surface‐enhanced Raman scattering studies, accounting for the observed chiral separation capacity of enzymes⊂COFs. Abstract: Highly selective separation and/or purification of acetylene from various gas mixtures is a relevant and difficult challenge that currently requires costly and energy‐intensive chemisorption processes. Two ultramicroporous metal–organic framework physisorbents, NKMOF‐1‐M (M=Cu or Ni), offer high hydrolytic stability and benchmark selectivity towards acetylene versus several gases at ambient temperature. The performance of NKMOF‐1‐M is attributed to their exceptional acetylene binding affinity as revealed by modelling and several experimental studies: in situ single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, FTIR, and gas mixture breakthrough tests. NKMOF‐1‐M exhibit better low‐pressure uptake than existing physisorbents and possesses the highest selectivities yet reported for C2H2/CO2 and C2H2/CH4. The performance of NKMOF‐1‐M is not driven by the same mechanism as current benchmark physisorbents that rely on pore walls lined by inorganic anions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract: Artificial muscles triggered by light are of great importance, especially for the development of non‐contact and remotely controlled materials. Common materials for synthesis of photoinduced artificial muscles typically rely on polymer‐based photomechanical materials. Herein, we are able to prepare artificial muscles using a mixed‐matrix membrane strategy to incorporate photomechanical molecular crystals with connective polymers (e.g. PVDF). The formed hybrid materials inherit not only the advantages of the photomechanical crystals, including faster light response, higher Young's modulus and ordered structure, but also the elastomer properties from polymers. This new type of artificial muscles demonstrates various muscle movements, including lifting objects, grasping objects, crawling and swimming, triggered by light irradiation. Farber disease (FD) is a rare lysosomal storage disorder caused by mutation of the ASAH1 gene. Classic symptoms of FD include subcutaneous nodules, joint pain and hoarseness. Most patients die during childhood. Here we report a 25‐year‐old female FD patient with rare osteolytic changes of bilateral hands and toes. Genetic analysis revealed novel compound heterozygous mutations in the ASAH1 gene (c.427T>G and c.358G>C). Further research is needed to elucidate the pathophysiological course. The Wurinitu Mo deposit is one of the newly found molybdenum deposits in the southwestern part of the late Paleozoic-Mesozoic Erenhot-Dong-Ujimqin metallogenic belt (S-EDMB), Inner Mongolia, China. In the present study, the mineralization age of the Wurinitu deposit is constrained to 137.3 ± 1.3 to 131.9 ± 1.5 Ma based on a combination of the laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry (LA-ICP-MS) zircon U-Pb dating of the mineralization related fine-grained monzonitic granite and the post-mineralization granite porphyry. The results of zircon Lu-Hf isotopes, combined with the geochemical characteristics of the granites in the S-EDMB, suggest that the Wurinitu Mo deposit was formed in an extensional environment in relation to the subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in late Mesozoic. The Wurinitu deposit shares similarities with the classical Climax-type porphyry molybdenum deposits in tectonic setting, mineral assemblages, and metal zonation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Multitopic organic linkers can provide a means to organize metal cluster nodes in a regular three-dimensional array. Herein, we show that isonicotinic acid N-oxide (HINO) serves as the linker in the formation of a metal-organic framework featuring Dy2 single-molecule magnets as nodes. Importantly, guest solvent exchange induces a reversible single-crystal to single-crystal transformation between the phases Dy2(INO)4(NO3)2⋅2 solvent (solvent=DMF (Dy2-DMF), CH3CN (Dy2-CH3CN)), thereby switching the effective magnetic relaxation barrier (determined by ac magnetic susceptibility measurements) between a negligible value for Dy2-DMF and 76 cm−1 for Dy2-CH3CN. Ab initio calculations indicate that this difference arises not from a significant change in the intrinsic relaxation barrier of the Dy2 nodes, but rather from a slowing of the relaxation rate of incoherent quantum tunneling of the magnetization by two orders of magnitude. Recent studies have revealed that the Makeng Fe deposit is a skarn type deposit. However, the skarns in Makeng, occurring primarily between limestone and sandstone, are not typically associated with limestone and plutons. Different periods of intrusions, e.7. Hercynian mafic intrusions and Yanshanian (i.e. early Cretaceous) Dayang- Juzhou granitic intrusion, occurred in the Makeng deposit district. In this study, the formation processes of the skarns and Fe mineralization are constrained by detailed fieldwork, petrology, geochronology, and geochemistry. Skarns and Fe mineralization intersecting the Hercynian mafic intrusions are observed in consecutive specimens from the 106# tunnel. They suggest that the skarn formation and Fe mineralization occurred after the Hercynian mafic intrusions and are related to the later Yanshanian Dayang- Juzhou granitic intrusion. The geochronological characteristics of weakly skarn-altered diabases, the decreasing nature of Fe contents in altered diabase, and the major element compositions of pyroxenes and garnets also support that Hercynian mafic intrusions are strongly reformed by Yanshanian granitic magmas and the Fe migrated from mafic intrusion was responsible for formation of iron ore. Preparation of porous materials from one-dimensional polymers is challenging because the packing of polymer chains results in a dense, non-porous arrangement. Herein, we demonstrate the remarkable adaptation of an amorphous, linear, non-porous, flexible organic polymer into a three-dimensional, highly porous, crystalline solid, as the organic component of a metal-organic framework (MOF). A polymer with aromatic dicarboxylic acids in the backbone functioned as a polymer ligand upon annealing with ZnII, generating a polymer-metal-organic framework (polyMOF). These materials break the dogma that MOFs must be prepared from small, rigid ligands. Similarly, polyMOFs contradict conventional polymer chemistry by demonstrating that linear and amorphous polymers can be readily coaxed into a highly crystalline, porous, three-dimensional structure by coordination chemistry. Organic polymers are usually amorphous or possess very low crystallinity. The metal complexes of organic polymeric ligands are also difficult to crystallize by traditional methods because of their poor solubilities and their 3D structures can not be determined by single-crystal X-ray crystallography owing to a lack of single crystals. Herein, we report the crystal structure of a 1D ZnII coordination polymer fused with an organic polymer ligand made in situ by a [2+2] cycloaddition reaction of a six-fold interpenetrated metal-organic framework. It is also shown that this organic polymer ligand can be depolymerized in a single-crystal-to-single-crystal (SCSC) fashion by heating. This strategy could potentially be extended to make a range of monocrystalline metal organopolymeric complexes and metal-organic organopolymeric hybrid materials. Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) acts specifically on cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) and terminates cGMP-mediated signalling. PDE5 has a well established role in vascular smooth muscle, where specific inhibitors of PDE5 such as sildenafil correct erectile dysfunction by augmenting cGMP-mediated vascular relaxation. However, the role of PDE5 outside of the vasculature has received little attention. The present study tested PDE5 inhibitors on the cGMP-mediated modulation of K+ channels in the neurohypophysis (posterior pituitary). Photolysis of caged-cGMP enhanced current through Ca2+-activated K+ channels, and this enhancement recovered in about 2 min. Sildenafil essentially eliminated this recovery, suggesting that the reversal of K+ current enhancement depends on cGMP breakdown. Activation of nitric oxide synthase during trains of activity in pituitary nerve terminals enhances excitability. When trains of stimulation were applied at regular intervals, sildenafil enhanced the excitability of neurohypophysial nerve terminals and increased the action potential firing probability. T-1032, a compound with high specificity for PDE5 over PDE6, had a similar action. Voltage imaging in intact neurohypophysis with a voltage sensitive absorbance dye showed that T-1032 reduced the failure of propagating action potentials during trains of activity. This indicates that PDE5 activity limits action potential propagation in neurohypophysial axons. Immunoassay of oxytocin, a neuropeptide hormone secreted by the posterior pituitary, demonstrated that sildenafil increased electrically evoked release. Thus, PDE5 plays an important role in the regulation of neurohypophysial function, and blockade of this enzyme can enhance the use-dependent facilitation of neurohypophysial secretion.
