Aim: The purpose of this study was to provide a comprehensive understanding of the attitudes and experiences of the medical staff regarding the hospital bed‐sharing model. Design: The present research was a qualitative study. Methods: This qualitative study used in‐depth individual interviews with 7 doctors, 10 clinical nurses and 3 head nurses, which were then transcribed and analysed thematically. Results: The study identified six overall themes. Issues were raised about the efficient utilization of hospital bed resources, greater challenges for nursing work, adjustment of doctors' work modes, barriers to communication between doctors, nurses, and patients, potential medical risks, and differentiation of patients' medical experience. Implications for Nursing Management: Hospital administrators and nurse managers should work together to solve the challenges that medical staff face, including strengthening nursing training, improving medical–nursing collaboration models, standardizing and effective communication strategies, and improving patient experiences. Objective: The hepatic venous pressure gradient (HVPG) plays an important role in the treatment and prognosis of patients with cirrhosis. Our study aimed to develop and validate a nomogram for an HVPG >12 mmHg. Methods: A retrospective study was performed to create a nomogram for an HVPG >12 mmHg in a training cohort that was validated in another cohort. The discriminatory ability and calibration of the nomogram were tested using the C‐statistic, area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC) and calibration plots. Results: The nomogram was based on portosystemic shunts identified on computed tomography images, the etiology of cirrhosis and the Child‐Pugh grade. These parameters were significantly associated with an HVPG >12 mmHg (P < 0.05 for both the training and validation cohorts). In the training cohort, the model showed good discrimination (C‐statistic, AUROC, and R2 of 0.71, 0.71 and 0.13, respectively) and good calibration. The total cutoff value was 112 and the sensitivity and specificity were 57.1% and 77.6%, respectively. The application of the nomogram in the validation cohort still yielded good discrimination (C‐statistic 0.75 [95% confidence interval 0.61‐0.89], AUROC 0.75, and R2 0.16) and good calibration. Conclusions: This nomogram is a convenient tool for predicting an HVPG >12 mmHg in patients with cirrhosis and can help clinicians quickly identify patients with decompensated cirrhosis. Background: Hearing loss (HL) is a common sensory disorder in humans characterized by extreme clinical and genetic heterogeneity. In recent years, next‐generation sequencing (NGS) technologies have proven to be highly effective and powerful tools for population genetic studies of HL. Here, we analyzed clinical and molecular data from 21 Chinese deaf families who did not have hotspot mutations in the common deafness genes GJB2, SLC26A4, GJB3, and MT‐RNR1. Method: Targeted next‐generation sequencing (TGS) of 127 known deafness genes was performed in probands of 12 families, while whole‐exome sequencing (WES) or trio‐WES was used for the remaining nine families. Results: Potential pathogenic mutations in a total of 12 deafness genes were identified in 13 probands; the mutations were observed in GJB2, CDH23, EDNRB, MYO15A, OTOA, OTOF, TBC1D24, SALL1, TMC1, TWNK, USH1C, and USH1G, with eight of the identified mutations being novel. Further, a copy number variant (CNV) was detected in one proband with heterozygous deletion of chromosome 4p16.3‐4p15.32. Thus, the total diagnostic rate using NGS in our deafness patients reached 66.67% (14/21). Conclusions: These results expand the mutation spectrum of deafness‐causing genes and provide support for the use of NGS detection technologies for routine molecular diagnosis in Chinese deaf populations. In the title coordination compound, [Cu(NCS)(C(9)H(7)N)(C(18)H(15)P)](n), the Cu(I) atom is tetra-hedrally coordinated by one N atom from an isoquinoline ligand, one P atom from a triphenyl-phospane ligand, and one N and one S atom from two thio-cyanate anions. The thio-cyanide anions bridge the Cu(I) atoms into a chain along [100]. π-π inter-actions between the pyridine and benzene rings of the isoquinoline ligands connect the chains [centroid-to-centroid distance = 3.722 (3) Å].

The title compound, C(16)H(6)N(6), is a polymorph of the previously reported structure [Kozlov & Goldberg (2008 ▶). Acta Cryst. C64, o498-o501]. Unlike the previously reported monoclinic polymorph (space group P2(1)/c, Z = 8), the title compound reveals ortho-rhom-bic symmetry (space group Pnma, Z = 4). The mol-ecule shows crystallographic mirror symmetry, while the previously reported structure exhibits two independent mol-ecules per asymmetric unit. In the title compound, adjacent mol-ecules are essentially parallel along the c axis and tend to be vertical along the b axis with dihedral angles of 72.02 (6)°. However, in the reported polymorph, the entire crystal structure shows an anti-parallel arrangement of adjacent columns related by inversion centers and the two independent mol-ecules are nearly parallel with a dihedral angle of 2.48 (6)°.

The title compound, [Cu(C(12)H(8)N(2))(C(27)H(26)P(2))]ClO(4), crystallizes with two Cu(I) complex cations and two perchlorate anions in the asymmetric unit. Each Cu(I) cation is four-coordinated by two P atoms of a 1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane mol-ecule and two N atoms of a 1,10-phenanthroline ligand, with a coordination geometry that can be considered as distorted tetra-hedral. The crystal studied was twinned with a twin ratio of 0.786 (2):0.214 (2).

In the title coordination polymer, [Ag(2)(NCS)(2)(C(27)H(26)P(2))(2)](n), two centrosymmetrically related Ag(+) cations are linked by two thio-cyanate anions into binuclear eight-membered macrocycles. The Ag⋯Ag separation within the macrocycle is 5.4400 (6) Å. The distorted tetra-hedral coordination about each metal atom is completed by the P atoms of two bridging 1,3-bis-(diphenyl-phosphan-yl)propane ligands, forming polymeric ribbons parallel to the a axis.
