Ovary dysgerminoma is one of the most good prognosis malignant tumor, which has a 5-year overall survival rate exceeding to 90%. Generally, the incidence of ovarian dysgerminoma (OD) is relatively low, accounting for ~0.6% of all ovarian tumors. Usually, it mainly occurs in very young women, about 85% of patients under 30 years old and is rare in middle-aged especially in elderly ones. This ovary dysgerminoma case report presents a 58-year-old menopausal postmenopausal woman which has a poor prognosis. Therefore, there may be differences between the elderly and young women in clinical characteristic that require separate management. This case reports a postmenopausal woman who was diagnosed with ovary dysgerminoma. After surgery, the patient was treated chemotherapy with bleomycin, etoposide, and cisplatin (BEP) according to the treatment guidelines. Unusually, the patient developed bone marrow suppression and lymph node metastasis in final. This report explored the clinical characteristic in postmenopausal woman dysgerminoma. Changes in lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) throughout the course of the disease are closely related to the progression. The patient had a disease progression when treated with the conventional treatment (BEP). The applicability of this treatment protocol to postmenopausal patients requires further research. Postmenopausal woman dysgerminoma is rare but rapid progress. Whether BEP is suitable for OD in middle-aged and elderly people remains to be further validated in the future. Ovarian tumor is a rare condition in pediatrics. Due to the improvement in surgical techniques and chemotherapy in recent years, it is currently possible to preserve fertility in selected cases of patients who desire motherhood., Case Presentation: We present a case of pregnancy following conservative surgery and complete chemotherapy for ovarian dysgerminoma stage IIA. A 16-year-old female presented with complaints of abdominal mass and discomfort. Histopathological examination displayed dysgerminoma arising from the right ovary. Conservative treatment with right salpingo-oophorectomy and six cycles of chemotherapy was performed. Within 2 years following the surgery, the patient conceived and did not indicate tumor recurrence., Clinical Discussion: Dysgerminoma is the most common ovarian malignant germ cell tumor and usually affects women at a young age. Conservative surgery followed by chemotherapy is the treatment of choice, particularly in young patients with a strong desire to have a family. Conservative fertility-sparing surgery does not have inferior outcomes in terms of survival or recurrence. It is possible that in certain cases, patients previously treated for ovarian cancer may retain their fertility, thereby improving their quality of life., Conclusion: Most patients with dysgerminoma can be treated with the maintenance of normal reproductive function. Introduction: Malignant ovarian germ cell tumors (MOGCTs) are rare malignancies with an incidence of about 0.5/100,000. They account for less than 5% of all ovarian tumors, of which 32.8% are dysgerminomas, the female analogue of seminomas. These tumors occur in all age groups, with peak incidence below the age of 20 years in women., Aim: To describe the case of a bilateral ovarian dysgerminoma treatment with 11-year follow-up., Methods: Case report with details regarding clinical history, surgical treatment, chemotherapy and follow up. We include a brief literature review., Results: The patient underwent radical surgery for an advanced dysgerminoma, 20 cm in length, that compromised the contralateral ovary and sigmoid. Neoplastic cells were found in ascitic fluid. Subsequently, she underwent adjuvant chemotherapy according to a standard protocol. She has survived disease-free for more than 11 years., Conclusions: Dysgerminoma is a malignant neoplasm that, similar to other cancers, is easier to treat when diagnosed early. However, cures may be obtained even in advanced cases.
