The lattice parameters, structural stability, mechanical properties, hardness and electronic structure of WCoB with Cr alloying were investigated by using first-principles calculations. The Cr atom was selected to replace 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 Co atoms in WCoB crystal and 0, 1, 2 Co atoms in W2CoB2 crystal. The calculated cohesive energy and formation enthalpy showed that all structures can retain good structural stability with different Cr doping content. The calculated mechanical properties showed Cr doping will decrease the shear modulus, Young’s modulus, bulk modulus and hardness, but increase the ductility. The larger number of valence electrons of Cr led to the increasing of bond covalence and population. According to the electronic structures analysis, the nonmetal–metal hybridization and metal–metal interactions contributed to relatively high toughness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper reports the thermodynamic analysis of (Co-Cr) system using THERMO-calc package (basis for CALPHAD) and PBIN database. Calculations involve binary phase diagram, Gibb's energy curve and activity curve at three different elevated temperatures 2125K, 2150K and 2175K. Induced miscibility gap is observed at particular concentration. Binary phase diagram shows variation in phases in prescribed alloy with increasing temperature and mole fraction concentration of . The total Gibbs energy decreases with increasing temperature showing the stability of Co-Cr system. Activity showed thorough fluctuation resulting in negative deviation from Raoult's law ideal curve. A new Bregman iterative regularization method is introduced for wavelet-based image deblurring. By using a suitable sequence of penalty parameters, we solve the issue of solvability of minimization problems arising in each step of the iterative procedure. Moreover, we give a projection-based algorithm to compute the solution. The convergence of the algorithm is also stated. The procedure is very fast and easy to implement. Representing the image to be inpainted in an appropriate sparse dictionary, we introduce a novel method for the filling-in of structure and texture in regions of missing image information. In the morphological component analysis (MCA) inpainting approach, a TV penalty is added to better reduce ringing artifacts. However, the incorporation of TV penalty terms leads to PDE schemes that are numerically intensive. Inspired by the works of Daubechies–Teschke and Borup–Nielsen, we replace the TV term by a $G_{1,1}^{1/2}$ term. It results in an iterative curvelet thresholding scheme for the structure image inpainting. In the whole inpainting process, an alternative approach is presented to layer inpainting.
