Članek obravnava možnosti profesionalizacije dela društev lastnikov gozdov. Model razvija na primeru Društva lastnikov gozdov Mirenske doline. Raziskava ni pokazala prekrivanja dejavnosti društva z drugimi organizacijami v prostoru, ampak povsem izvirne dejavnosti, njihovo dopolnjevanje in poglabljanje. Z aktivnim delovanjem društva je možnost uvajanja sodobnih tehnologij v gozdno delo bistveno večja kot brez njega. Koncentracija poseka, ki je za strojno sečnjo nujni pogoj, je tisti element h kateremu lahko takšno društvo bistveno prispeva. Ko razvoj društva preseže raven ljubiteljske dejavnosti, zahteva zaposlenega strokovnjaka, ki bi lažje in učinkoviteje organiziral društvene aktivnosti. Študij primera je pokazal, da stroški dveh strokovnjakov ne bi presegli 6% prodajne cene lesa pri letnem prometu 20.000 m3, če bi se celotna dejavnost društva financirala le iz tega vira. Seveda je tudi pri profesionalizaciji društva potrebna postopnost. The article discusses the possibilities of professionalizing the work of forest owner associations. The model has been developed on the example of the Association of forest owners of the Mirna Valley. The study showed no doublingof the association's activities with those of other organizations in the same field, rather the contrary - original ideas were manifested, which were supplemented and developed in depth. The association's activities significantly increase the possibilities for introducing modern technologies into work. The concentration of cutting (which is an essential requirement formachine cutting) is the element to which such an association can profoundlycontribute. When the association's development transcends the amateur level it requires an employed professional who could better and more effectively manage the association's activities. The study of the Mirna Valleycase showed that the costs of two professionals would not exceed 6 % of the sales price of wood at a yearly volume of 20,000 m3, even if all the association's activities were financed from this source. Namen raziskave je ugotoviti strukturo lesnih zalog, tekočega volumenskega prirastka, (denarne) vrednosti lesne zaloge in tekoči vrednostni prirastek po različnih socialnih kolektivih v gorskih, enomernih in čistih smrekovih sestojih. Analizirali smo sestoje z 9 rastiščnih enot, pri vsaki s po petimi ploskvami velikosti 30 x 30 m. Nad 95 % volumna in še nekaj večji delež vrednosti odpade na streho sestoja. Kolektiv 100 najdebelejših dreves na hektar zavzema okoli 40% volumna oziroma vrednosti sestoja. Delež furnirske kakovosti je nizek (3-4 %), delež hlodovine žagovcev 1. razreda pa štirikrat višji. Na analiziranih rastiščih so pogoj visokih vrednostnih prirastkov visoke lesne zaloge. Sestoji so že pričeli vrednostno nazadovati. The aim of the paper is to establish the structure of growing stocks, current volume increment, value of growing stocks and current value increment by different social collectives in mountainous pure and uniform spruce stands. Inorder to achieve this, spruce stands from 9 site units were analysed on each site unit analyses of five plots measuring 30 x 30 m were carried out. Trees from the stand canopy account for more than 95 % of stand volume and even a slightly higher share of stand value. The collective of 100 thickest trees per hectare represents about 40 % of stand volume or stand value. The percentage of veneer quality is low (3-4 %), while the percentage of first class sawlogs quality is four times higher. A precondition for high value increments on the analysed sites were high growing stocks. The value increments of the stands included in this research has already begun to decrease.

V gojitvenem lovišču Jelen-Snežnik se je v letu 1991 pričelo izvajati monitoring oziroma programirano spremljavo pojavljanja velikih zveri in njihovih plenskih vrst. Za prostorsko evidentiranje opažanj živali je bilo območje lovišča razdeljeno na 306 oštevilčenih stalnih kvadrantov velikosti 1x1 km. Ugotovitve kontinuiranega monitoringa v obdobju 1991-2003 kažejo, da je mogoče z uporabljeno metodo monitoringa populacij prostoživečih živali na večjih območjih sklepati o dogajanjih v populacijah, odnosih med populacijami prostoživečih živali ter med populacijami in dogajanjem v življenjskem prostoru. In 1991, we launched the monitoring of the presence of large carnivores and their main prey species in the wildlife reserve of Jelen-Snežnik (in the form of a comprehensive survey). To enable spatial mapping of observed animals, thearea of the wildlife reserve was divided into 306 numbered permanent quadrants sized 1 x 1 km. The findings of continuous monitoring in the period 1991-2003 show that the monitoring method for wildlife populations, when applied in large areas, enables us to make conclusions on population changes, on relationships between various populations of wildlife and conclusions on relationships between populations and habitat changes.

V prispevku opisujemo metodologijo in nekatere rezultate raziskave, ki v našihrazmerah predstavljajo novost pri ugotavljanju tehničnih parametrov traktorja med vlačenjem lesa. S prilagojeno merilno verigo smo izmerili vrednosti posameznih tehničnih parametrov in dinamiko do katere med vlačenjem po vlaki prihaja. V raziskavo so bili vključeni traktorji Woody 110 in AGT 835T s hidrostatičnim in mehanskim prenosom sil. Dobljene vrednosti obremenitev na oseh traktorja, vlečnih sil in zdrsa lahko dodatno pomagajo priizbiri delovnega sredstva - glede na delovne razmere se lahko odločamo o primernosti in smiselnosti uporabe posameznega traktorja. The article describes the methodology and some results of the research carriedout in Slovenia which present a novelty in establishing the technical parameters of a tractor during the skidding of timber. An adapted measuring chain was used to measure the values of individual technical parameters and the dynamics arising during skidding on skid track. The research included the following tractors: Woody 110 and AGT 835 T with hydrostatic and mechanical power transmission. The values of load on tractor axes, of pulling force and slip can be of additional help in selecting the machine - with regard to the work conditions it is possible to decide on the suitability and sensibility ofa certain tractor choice.
