Abstract

The article examines the aspects of heat transfer process involved in the large space telescopes' radiation shields used in space astronomical observatories. mentions the usefulness of these radiation shields in space observatories, particularly in protecting the huge telescopes. In addition, these shields consist metallized polyethylene terephthalate mylar-type film for cooling the telescopes.
