This paper investigates the application of Virtual Reality Exposure Therapy (VRET) to treat agoraphobia, focusing on two pivotal research questions derived from identified gaps in current therapeutic approaches. The first question (RQ1) addresses the development of complex VR environments to enhance therapy's effectiveness by simulating real‐world anxiety triggers. The second question (RQ2) examines the differential impact of these VR environments on agoraphobic and nonagoraphobic participants through rigorous comparative analyses using t‐tests. Methodologies include advanced data processing techniques for electrodermal activity (EDA) and eye‐tracking metrics to assess the anxiety levels induced by these environments. Additionally, qualitative methods such as structured interviews and questionnaires complement these measurements, providing deeper insights into the subjective experiences of participants. Video recordings of sessions using Unity software offer a layer of data, enabling the study to replay and analyze interactions within the VR environment meticulously. The experimental results confirm the efficacy of VR settings in eliciting significant physiological and psychological responses from participants, substantiating the VR scenarios' potential as a therapeutic tool. This study contributes to the broader discourse on the viability and optimization of VR technologies in clinical settings, offering a methodologically sound approach to the practicality and accessibility of exposure therapies for anxiety disorders. This paper investigates a full-duplex relay network assisted by radio frequency (RF) power station in ubiquitous electric Internet of Things (UEIoT), where a wireless sensor on high voltage transmission line collects electric data and then transmits data to a destination via a full-duplex decode-and-forward relay. The destination receives and processes the data to inspect the state of high voltage transmission line. Both the sensor and relay do not have fixed energy source; so, they first have to harvest energy from a RF power station and then complete information transmission by using the harvested energy. As the line-of-sight (LOS) propagations often exist in outdoor application scenarios of UEIoT, the Rician fading channel is adopted in the network. To explore the system outage performance, the explicit expressions of the outage probability and throughput of the system are derived by using mathematical analysis. Simulation results validate the correctness of our theoretical analysis and also evaluate the effects of system parameters and deployment position of power station on the outage performance. This paper presents the analytical resistance–capacitance–inductance–conductance (RLCG) model of the on-chip interconnect line (IL) based on its structure, and the proposed model can be used to design IL and analyze the delay characteristics. Using electromagnetic (EM) simulation, the relations between the inductance, quality factor and the width, length of IL are obtained, which verifies the proposed RLCG model of IL. The delay model of IL is derived and verified with respect to the effects of the L and C by simulation, which can provide the benefit for the true-time delay line (TTDL) design using IL. This work proposes the experiments on the delay characteristics of 3-bit TTDL with IL based on 0.13 μ m SiGe BiCMOS technology. The group delay and transient delay of the TTDL are measured, which exhibits a maximal relative delay of 35 ps with an average of 5 ps delay resolution over a frequency range of 14–34 GHz. The Internet of things (IoT) has emerged as a platform for connecting massive physical devices to collect and analyze data for decision-making. Wireless devices in IoT are usually energy-constrained and thus need to be powered by a stable and reliable energy source in order to maintain a long network lifetime. An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) as an energy source is a proper and applicable way to supply energy to wireless devices in IoT, due to its flexibility and potential of providing line-of-sight (LOS) links for wireless air-to-ground channels. In this paper, a UAV-aided wireless powered relay communication system is presented, where a UAV firstly emits energy to a source and a relay, and then, the source and relay cooperatively transmit information to their destination. To explore the performance limit of the system, a problem is formulated by jointly optimizing the position of the UAV and time allocation to maximize the achievable information rate of the system. By deriving the explicit expressions of the optimal position of UAV and optimal time fraction, the nonconvex optimization problem is efficiently solved. The mobile fog computing-assisted resource allocation (RA) is studied for simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) two-hop orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) networks, where a decode-and-forward (DF) relay first harvests energy from signals emitted by a source and then helps the source to forward information to its destination by using the harvested energy. Power splitting (PS) strategy is adopted at the relay and a different PS (DPS) receiver architecture is proposed, where the PS factors of all subcarriers are different. A RA problem is formulated to maximize the system’s achievable rate by jointly optimizing subcarrier pairing, power allocation, and PS factors. Since the RA problem is a nonconvex problem and is difficult to solve, an efficient RA algorithm is designed. As the wireless channels are fast time-varying, the computation is performed in mobile fog node close to end nodes, instead of remote clouds. Results demonstrate that the achievable rate is significantly increased by using the proposed RA algorithm. It is also found that the computation complexity of RA algorithm of DPS receiver architecture is much lower than the existing identical PS (IPS) receiver architecture, and thus the proposed DPS architecture is more suitable for computation-constrained fog system. This paper investigates the optimal resource allocation in wireless powered communication network with user cooperation, where two single-antenna users first harvest energy from the signals transmitted by a multi-antenna hybrid access point (H-AP) and then cooperatively send information to the H-AP using their harvested energy. To explore the system information transmission performance limit, an optimization problem is formulated to maximize the weighted sum-rate (WSR) by jointly optimizing energy beamforming vector, time assignment, and power allocation. Besides, another optimization problem is also formulated to minimize the total transmission time for given amount of data required to be transmitted at the two sources. Because both problems are non-convex, we first transform them to be convex by using proper variable substitutions and then apply semi-definite relaxation to solve them. We theoretically prove that our proposed methods guarantee the global optimum of both problems. Simulation results show that system WSR and transmission time can be significantly enhanced by using energy beamforming and user cooperation. It is observed that when the total amount of information of two users is fixed, with the increase of the information amount of the user relatively farther away from the H-AP, the transmission time of the user cooperation scheme decreases while that of the direct transmission increases. This paper investigates the simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) in cooperative relay networks, where a relay harvests energy from the radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted by a source and then uses the harvested energy to assist the information transmission from the source to its destination. Both source and relay transmissions use rateless codes (RCs), which allow the destination to employ any of the two information receiving strategies, i.e., the mutual information accumulation (IA) and the energy accumulation (EA). The SWIPT-enabled relay employs three different SWIPT receiver architectures, the ideal receiver, and two practical receivers (i.e., the power splitting (PS) receiver and the time switch (TS) receiver). Accordingly, three relaying protocols, namely, the ideal protocol, PS protocol, and TS protocol, are presented. To explore the system performance limits with these three protocols, optimization problems are formulated to maximize their achievable information rates. For the ideal protocol, explicit expressions of the optimal solutions are derived. For the PS protocol, a linear-search algorithm is designed to solve the nonconvex problems. For the TS protocol, two solving methods are presented. Numerical experiments are carried out to validate our analysis and algorithms, which show that, with the same SWIPT receiver, the IA-based system outperforms the EA-based system, whereas with the same information receiving strategy, the PS protocol outperforms the TS protocol. Moreover, compared with nonrateless-coded systems, the proposed protocols exhibit considerable performance gains. This letter investigates the outage performance of overhearing amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative relaying system, where multiple sources transmit information symbols to a destination through multiple helping overhearing AF relays with space-time network coding (STNC) employed. First, by introducing the overhearing among the relays of STNC, a new transmission protocol, i.e., the STNC-based cooperative relaying with overhearing AF relays (STNC-OHAF), is presented. Then, the instantaneous end-to-end SNR expression of STNC-OHAF is analyzed. Based on this, an explicit expression of the outage probability for STNC-OHAF over independent but not necessarily identically distributed (i.n.i.d) Rayleigh fading channels is theoretically derived and the ability of STNC-OHAF to achieve full diversity order is proved. Numerical results validate our theoretical analysis and show that by introducing overhearing among relays, the outage performance of the STNC-based AF relaying system can be greatly improved.
