Objective To analyze the clinical and pathological factors affecting pathological complete response (pCR) of triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted in 78 TNBC patients treated with NAC and surgery in The First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from January 2018 to September 2023. The patients were divided into pCR group (n=28) and non-pCR group (n=50) based on whether they had achieved pCR or not. Logistic regression analysis was used to investigate the clinical and pathological factors affecting pCR. The pCR rate and incidence of adverse reactions after NAC between TP regimen (taxane+platinum) and TAC regimen (taxane+anthracycline+cyclophosphamide) were compared. Results The overall pCR rate was 35.9%. There were statistically significant differences between the two groups of patients in tumor diameter, chemotherapy cycle, chemotherapy regimen, paclitaxel type, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2) expression, Ki-67 expression, and androgen receptor (AR) positive expression (P＞0.05). Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that tumor diameter ≤ 3 cm was an independent favorable factor of pCR(OR=4.191, 95%CI: 1.246-14.094, P=0.021), and AR positive expression was an independent unfavorable factor of pCR (OR=0.124, 95%CI: 0.020-0.784, P=0.027). In addition, the pCR rate of the TP regimen was significantly better than that of the TAC regimen ［54.8%(17/31) vs 28.1%(9/32), χ2=4.636, P=0.031］, and there was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between two groups (P＞0.05). Conclusion TP or TAC regimen and albumin bound paclitaxel in NAC for TNBC is beneficial for achieving pCR status, but the pCR rate of TP regimen is better than that of TAC regimen, and the incidence of adverse reactions is comparable. The pCR rate is higher for tumor diameter≤3 cm, while low expression of HER-2, Ki-67, or AR indicates a lower pCR rate. AR positive expression is an independent unfavorable factor of pCR.

Aims: To synthesize the evidence of interventions based on salutogenesis for older adults. Background: With the increasing tendency of global ageing and the progression of 'healthy ageing', salutogenesis has been adopted as a framework of health promotion for older adults. Design: An integrative review following PRISMA guidelines. Data Sources: Seven databases including PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Embase, Scopus, PsycINFO and CINAHL Plus were systematically searched on 29 September 2022 and updated on 18 July 2023. Results: Eighteen eligible studies were included in this review. Salutogenic‐based interventions fell into three main categories: dialogue‐based, health education courses based, and goal setting and achievement based. The intervention doses: length ranged from 4 weeks to 2 years, with most (n = 12) within 12 weeks; the duration of each session ranged from 30 to 150 min, with the majority (n = 7) within 1 h; the frequency ranged from five times weekly to three times in 10 months, and in six studies was once a week. Intervention providers were mostly multidisciplinary teams, while in four studies were nurses only. Most of the studies reported that salutogenic‐based interventions could improve older adults' sense of coherence, quality of life, self‐efficacy, self‐management, meaning of life and mental health. Conclusions: This review synthesized the interventions based on salutogenesis for older adults, including salutogenesis application, intervention and its doses, intervention settings and providers, and intervention effects. Future research on the effectiveness of the intervention, the optimal dose of the intervention and the underlying mechanisms are still necessary to understand salutogenic‐based interventions. The present study aimed to determine whether the expression of microRNA (miR)-10b was correlated with the molecular subtypes of early invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast. In situ hybridization was used to detect the expression of miR‑10b in 193 patients diagnosed with early invasive ductal carcinoma. Immunohistochemistry was performed to evaluate the expression of estrogen receptor (ER)‑α, progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor‑2 (Her‑2). The positive expression rate of miR‑10b in patients with early invasive ductal carcinoma with ER‑α (+) or PR (+) was decreased compared with ER‑α (‑) or PR (‑) patients (P<0.05). Furthermore, the positive expression rate of miR‑10b in patients with Her‑2 (‑) was significantly increased compared with patients that were Her‑2 (+) (P=0.031). The positive expression rate of miR‑10b in the luminal B subtype was significantly decreased compared with that in the luminal A, Her‑2 and basal‑like subtypes (P=0.037). In patients that were identified as miR‑10b (+), the median disease‑free survival time was significantly increased in patients that were ER‑α (+)/PR (+)/Her‑2 (‑) compared with patients that were ER‑α (‑)/PR (‑)/Her‑2 (+) (P<0.05). In addition, the median disease‑free survival time was significantly decreased in Her‑2 overexpression and basal‑like subtypes when compared with luminal A and B subtypes (P<0.05). The molecular subtype was an independent prognostic factor for early invasive ductal carcinoma (odds ratios for luminal B, Basal‑like, and Her‑2 overexpression were 2.900, 5.232 and 4.214, respectively; all P<0.05). Positive expression of miR‑10b may also be a prognostic risk factor (odds ratio >1), though this was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The present findings indicated that miR‑10b‑positive expression was correlated with the expression of ER‑α, Her‑2 and the molecular subtypes of early invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast.
