This study employs Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS 3.2.9 to offer valuable insight into the relationship between e-marketing mix (4Ps) and customer satisfaction with electronic information services provided by public university libraries in Jordan. The identified primary aspects within the e-marketing mix encompass e-product, e-pricing, e-place, and e-promotion. An online survey (questionnaire) targeting postgraduate student respondents at Jordanian public universities (a total of 792 participants) was used to gather data using a quantitative technique. Participants were chosen using voluntary response sampling. The study's findings revealed that all relevant elements of the e-marketing mix establish significant relationships with customer satisfaction among postgraduate student respondents utilizing e-information services in public university libraries in Jordan. Notably, e-products, e-pricing, and e-promotion demonstrated substantial positive relationships with customer satisfaction. Conversely, there was a negative relationship observed with e-place. The novelty of this study lies in its exploration of the previously unexplored realm of the e-marketing mix framework (4Ps) in the context of customer satisfaction with electronic information services within university libraries in Jordan. Aim. The main objective of this research is to know the influencing factors for KM practices in the library field of Bangladesh from the user's point of view. Therefore, the study examines the elements influencing Knowledge Management (KM) practice in Bangladeshi university libraries. Methods. Present research used a quantitative approach, by adopting printed survey questionnaire for data collection from the users of the University of Dhaka (DU) and the University of Rajshahi (RU) in Bangladesh. Statistical software IBM®-SPSS® was used for data analysis, and the "partial least squares" (PLS) method was used to test the proposed hypothesis. Results. The findings revealed that KM familiarity and perceptions in gender and current study level varied across users. This study found that all the proposed hypotheses are supported, i.e., the service quality and critical success factors are the most influencing factors for practicing KM in the DU and RU libr ary. Conclusions. The findings provide valuable insights regarding awareness about KM practices and assist university authorities in formulating relevant policies and taking necessary actions for KM practices in libraries. Blended Learning (BL) essentially fuses high-tech digital learning with traditional ones to involve students in "network learning", which helps in transcending physical boundaries. Especially during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, BL has been embraced as a realistic possibility to ensure seamless knowledge distribution regardless of time and space. Knowledge Management (KM)-based approaches are typically used to collect, coordinate, and control processes that may be utilised efficiently to both recognise and address customer needs. This study aims to explain how to apply KM techniques within the BL environment to increase educational excellence and quality. We used a quantitative approach, specifically by adopting an online questionnaire circulated to about 272 undergraduate students, primarily from the Department of Information Science and Library Management (ISLM) of the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. We received completed answers from 74 students; the data gathered were analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20. The findings reveal that KM can be used with BL, especially during crisis times like the one we have today, as it includes integrated tasks and online and e-learning. Finally, the study also proposed an intuitive model for applying BL through KM. Importantly, this study seems to be among the first to examine the students' perceptions about BL and KM integration during a pandemic. The purpose of this paper is to examine antecedents that predict researchers' usage intention of Open Access Journals (OAJs) in Tanzania, with a specific focus on the Agricultural Research Institutes (ARIs). Specifically, the study investigates major predictors of usage intentions of OAJs. Data were collected from pilot study. A total of 60 (85.71%) usable questionnaires out of 70 were returned. The study utilized the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). The results show that attitude, content respectability and predatory publishers have insignificant effect on usage intention, while subjective norms and intention shows statistically significant effect on OAJs usage behavior. The study findings are useful to OAJs publishers and ARIs management staff to identify important factors and safeguard policies on Open Access publishing and strategies to encourage long-term usage of OAJs for future studies and lifelong learning. By using TRA in the context of actual usage intentions and the integration of an additional construct 'content respectability and predatory publisher', the extended TRA model fits very well in the OAJs in Tanzania, in particular where such studies are scant. The findings can be used in other institutions with similar conditions in investigating OAJs usage intentions. Ethnography strategies, which examine data handling effectiveness of information retrieval systems, are presented.

Social media is an open platform to communicate, share and exchange information freely. This uncontrolled exchanged information carries out both negative and positive impacts in others' lives. In this regard, this study aims to identify ethical issues on this information in line with Ibn Khaldun's ethical considerations. Out of many other social networking sites, Twitter has been identified as one of the most popular microblogging social networking platforms. Using a simple algorithm in R programming and 43 keywords based on Ibn Khaldun's thoughts, 1075 public tweets have been extracted from Twitter as a sample of ethical issues. The sentiment analysis in Parallel Dots was performed on the collected tweets, and it was discovered that 700 of the tweets are positive statements, 229 are neutral statements, and 146 are negative statements. Having done the validation process on these sentiments, the study proposed these identified ethical issues from tweets as a domain in developing ontology relationships with Ibn Khaldun's thoughts. In this process, further study can be carried on with wider data from various sources beyond the limitation of this study. Aim. Design thinking (DT) is an essential context for knowledge management (KM), as it promotes the link between KM initiatives and an organisation's strategic goals and objectives. This article analyses the DT process in terms of its capability to create KM. The detailed analysis focuses on the aspect of the DT's working mechanism, namely how KM is represented and created in the process. This article examines the DT procedure in terms of its ability to generate design knowledge. In this regard, the main purpose of this paper is to review the approaches to KM applied to DT and to suggest directions in which such a supervisory system could evolve. Methods. This study is thematic in its nature, and it was prepared on the basis of secondary data, an inclusive review of the literature, and, similarly, the computation of secondary information. To formulate this paper, the researchers referred to research books, earlier published articles, conference papers, and numerous research reports. Results and conclusions. This article concludes by proposing an intuitive model for DT and KM for its successful application in higher learning institutions in the areas of course design institutional strategy formation and faculty resource sharing. Social networking sites (SNS) especially Facebook become a popular platform for sharing and communicate with people all around the world. Its popularity is rising together with the ethical issues that need to be faced by normal users. Since these issues have gotten the people intention, the aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the ontology of Facebook in relation to Ibn Khaldun ethics. A systematic literature review of the articles been conduct related with ontology in Facebook and Ibn Khaldun thoughts which met the following selection criteria: (1) published in a peer-reviewed journal, (2) written in English, (3) free accessed download article, (4) range date from 2008 to 2017, (5) article content related to search topic. The literature search generated 172,731 records of article searched from selected 4 databases from IIUM library website and only 2,235 article titles or abstracts have been screened, which match with author's keywords. After refined the results, 84 abstract and full-text articles were retrieved and reviewed. The findings identify types of articles by classes in eight categories, namely: (1) author name, (2) year of publication, (3) research methodology being used, (4) retrieved from which database, (5) the area covered by the article, (6) journal name, (7) journal ranking by Scopus, (8) journal subject. In conclusion, the contribution of ontology development between Ibn Khaldun's thoughts may relate to ethical issues on Facebook, and thus will be a guideline for others researcher to review a model for developing ontology concepts for ethics to extend to broader areas. The importance of Islamic banking and finance (IBF) has been widely accepted by not only Muslims but also non-Muslims, and many conventional banking have opened their Islamic banking window, partly because, the objective of Islamic Banking is to enjoin good and bring welfare to the people in addition to gain profit. The aim of our research is to explore the social value dimension and document extraction system of IBF. Many empirical works about IBF have already carried out and been shared. The fundamental aim should now be at capturing the structured representation of the documents instead of only keyword retrieval related to the statements. This paper describes the ontological framework that conceptualizes the service dominant logic for IBF. Two main ontologies are proposed: the service dominant logic components ontology and the IBF ontology to mold the relationship between service science and financial service for the purpose of measuring the social values and impacts of IBF. We obtained these ontologies by following the mapping of research results from the banking sector in Malaysia. The ontological framework has been designed as a framework leading to a model for resource integration enabling the mechanism of value co-creation in IBF from the view of social science, taking advantage of ontologies as the formal declaration and knowledge representation model. It provides a foundation upon which a machine understandable knowledge can be obtained. This article aims to describe the differences between research-focused and teaching-focused (non-research) universities in terms of usage of web-based library services, as discovered by way of questionnaires and statistical analyses. It was found that the type of university within the country of Malaysia correlates to significant differences in usage of e-journals and Web-based library services in general. Factors such as library budget allocations, research productivity, and extrinsic motivations for using Web-based library services are surmised to have influenced the usage. The results also suggest that library programs at both types of universities are ineffective in creating awareness of the services. Purpose – The purposes of this study were to measure the relevance status of Index Islamicus, evaluate the semantic correlation between a query and documents and inquire the basis of its rank. Sorting the retrieved results from the most relevant to the least relevant is the common option of an information retrieval system. This sorting mechanism or relevance judgment is computed by measuring closeness of query with its documents. Design/methodology/approach – Forming up 100 queries on Islamic History and Civilizations, with two indexing elements (keyword and concept), a laboratory experiment was generated on its first ten items of the rank. Throughout an experimental research design, the relevance status value formula was used to measure system-computed rank and compare it with mean average precision. Findings – The results showed that the average status value of Index Islamicus’s ranking on relevance criterion was 18 per cent effective in terms of retrieving precise documents. Despite the main focus of this study being only on one subject domain and the items calculated were only 1,000, this small percentage of its ranking mechanism proved that semantic correlations between queries with subject domain did not achieve the satisfactory level. Research limitations/implications – Implication of this study could be a guideline for further research on ranking mechanism of other search engines because the limitation of this study was Index Islamicus being the only database, which was the focus of this study. Practical implications – Throughout this study, Index Islamicus would be benefited knowing the status of its ranking mechanism as well as other databases can make further research on their own ranking method following this study. Social implications – Researchers and vendors of online databases can ensure their users a true platform of search engine with a proper ranking list. Originality/value – Relevance status value model for Index Islamicus on Islamic History and Civilization that allows the system to rank documents according to the match between document and query and gives the idea of a better index. The model improves the system’s ranking mechanism, and promotes the use of semantic relationships. This study examines the extent to which CEDAW has been implemented in Muslim countries particularly in Malaysia. Applying a qualitative approach comprising of content and comparative analyses, the paper seeks to understand the reservations Muslim countries have concerning the compatibility of CEDAW's understanding of gender equality with the SharÊÑah's perspective on gender and gender relations. It does this by examining Malaysia's implementation of CEDAW in three areas: constitution, legal and policy based on the SharÊÑah, and CEDAW's articles. By doing so, the paper clarifies misconceptions regarding the SharÊÑah's treatment of gender related issues. This paper will also explore the different roles given to each gender and how they are positioned in the overall worldview of Islam. The paper concludes that both the SharÊÑah and CEDAW share the same positive advocacy of gender equality albeit with different approaches. The differences in approach should be respected as they underscore deep and complex creedal and social commitments that define the different countries with their unique cultural settings.
