- Abstract
RESUMEN La interferencia en el área de cuidados intensivos neonatales, se debe en su mayoría a la aglomeración de los equipos médicos con los que debe contar el paciente para salvar su vida. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar el comportamiento del campo magnético generado por los equipos médicos, según su colocación y cantidad, en un área de cuidados neonatales. Para la realización de la misma se utilizó un gaussímetro, siguiendo una metodología de medición, utilizada por este equipo de trabajo en investigaciones anteriores. Se obtuvo como resultado que el ambiente electromagnético del área cumple con las recomendaciones de la Comisión Internacional de Protección contra las Radiaciones No Ionizantes (ICNIRP), pero no con los límites normados por la Comisión Electrotécnica Internacional (IEC) para compatibilidad electromagnética. Se emitieron recomendaciones para la disminución de estos valores, concluyendo que la separación entre equipos es el método más recomendable y efectivo., The interference in the neonatal intensive care area is mainly due to the crowding of medical equipment that the patient must count on to save his life. The objective of this work is to analyze the behavior of the magnetic field generated by medical equipment, according to its placement and quantity, in a neonatal care area. To carry it out, a gaussmeter was used, following a measurement methodology used by this team in previous research. It was obtained as a result that the electromagnetic environment of the area complies with the recommendations of the International Commissions on non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), but not with the limits established by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) for electromagnetic compatibility. Recommendations were issued to reduce these values, concluding that the separation between equipment is the most recommended and effective method.

- Abstract
The work reveals the study of the electromagnetic environment in several computer laboratories belonging to the Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana "José Antonio Echeverría" (CUJAE). The main objective is to analyze the behavior of the existing magnetic field in these laboratories, taking into account the different situations that may arise. For the measurement of the magnetic field, the gaussimeter model PCE-G28 was used and for the characterization of the magnetic field of the laboratories a measurement protocol was developed, based on the analysis of international standards. The results obtained between 0,01 µT and 9,31 µT reflect the areas of greatest intensity, generally coinciding where the electrical protection panel is located and where the power supply enters the laboratories. Although the measurements do not exceed the limits recommended by International Commissions on non-ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP) in 2010, some prevention measures were recommended as a result of the characteristics observed during the days of measurement., RESUMEN El trabajo revela el estudio del ambiente electromagnético en varios laboratorios de computación pertenecientes a una universidad. El objetivo principal es analizar el comportamiento del campo magnético existente en estos laboratorios teniendo en cuenta las diferentes situaciones que se pudieran presentar. Para la medición del campo magnético se utilizó el gaussímetro modelo PCE-G28 y para la caracterización del campo magnético de los laboratorios se elaboró un protocolo de medición, a partir del análisis de normas internacionales. Los resultados obtenidos entre 0,01 µT y 9,31 µT reflejan las zonas de mayor intensidad coincidiendo generalmente donde se encuentra el panel de protección eléctrica y por donde entra la alimentación de energía en los laboratorios. Aunque las mediciones no sobrepasan los límites recomendados por la Comisión Internacional de Protección contra las Radiaciones No Ionizantes (ICNIRP), en 2010, se recomendaron algunas medidas de prevención en consecuencia de las características observadas durante los días de medición.

- Abstract
Nowadays, the problems associated with the use of the non-ionizing radiations, among them the sources they generate magnetic fields of low frequency (50-60 Hz), have retrieved a growing interest between the scientific community. The agglutination of medical equipment according the constructive disposition of the area in which find, lead to invisible interference that could affect the functioning itself. For this reason, this working group decided to perform measurements of low-frequency magnetic field. It was used the instrument of measurement EMDEX II and it was take into account different situation in a neonatal neurophysiology test consultation. It was concluded that there are external interferences that reach the medical equipment is located. The values of magnetic field issue and its origin were obtained. It recommends to move the medical equipment to another space where exist less intensity of magnetic field., Actualmente, los problemas asociados con el uso de las radiaciones no ionizantes, entre ellas las fuentes que generan campos magnéticos de baja frecuencia (50-60 Hz), han cobrado interés entre la comunidad científica. El aglutinamiento de equipos médicos según la disposición constructiva del área donde se encuentran, acarrean una interferencia invisible que pudiera afectar el funcionamiento de los mismos. Por esta razón este grupo de trabajo se ha dado a la tarea de realizar mediciones de campo magnético de baja frecuencia, empleando para ello un instrumento de medición EMDEX II y teniendo en cuenta diferentes situaciones en una consulta de pruebas de neurofisiología neonatal. Se concluyó que existen interferencias externas que influyen sobre el área donde se ubica el equipamiento médico. Obteniéndose los valores de campo magnético emitidos y su origen. Se recomienda trasladar el equipamiento médico a un espacio, dentro del local, donde exista menor intensidad de campo magnético.

The damage caused by excess to electromagnetic fields radiations are the global health problem being the children the most, afected by this reason. In this work was checked the electromagnetic enviroment of 4 internment cubicle of William Soler Hospital intensitive terapy room, for it purpose was used Emdex II gaussimeter in order to make measurements,computer tools to process the data obtained in them and the recommendation emited by international commission for the protection against non-ionizing radiation (ICNIRP) in 2010 as a standard for comparisons, the measurementwere maked according to the established by protocol in cientific literature, according to hepidemiology standard of cuban health Ministry. The result of the measurement obtained were lower than recommended by ICNIRP, so the result are positive, Los daños ocasionados por el exceso de la radiación de campos electromagnéticos se han convertido en un problema de salud mundial, siendo los niños unos de los mas propensos a contraer enfermedades por esta causa. En este trabajo se comprobó el ambiente electromagnético de cuatro cubículos de internamiento de la sala de terapia intensiva del hospital pediatrico ¨William Soler¨. Se utilizó para este propósito un gaussímetro modelo Emdex II para realizar las mediciones, herramientas informáticas para procesar los datos obtenidos en ellas y las recomendaciones del 2010 emitidas por la Comision Internacional Para La Protección Contra Las Radiaciones No Ionizantes ( por sus siglas en inglés ICNIRP) como patrón para hacer comparaciones, las mediciones se realizaron según protocolos descritos en literaturas científicas y acorde con lo recomendado por la normas epidemiológicas del Ministerio de Salud Pública (MINSAP) cubano. - Abstract
A study about the influence of joint use of nanosilica and ATH as fillers on room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber used in the outdoor insulation is carried out. This study is made by comparison between room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber coating with nanosilica and ATH as simultaneous fillers and room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber coating with nanosilica and ATH as independents fillers. The parameters of this comparison are: erosion resistance, circulation of leakage currents under salt fog conditions and hydrophobicity loss. The results of this work show a better development of room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber coating with nanosilica and ATH as simultaneous fillers than room temperature vulcanized silicone rubber coating with nanosilica and ATH as independents fillers., En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio sobre la influencia que tiene el uso conjunto de la nanosílice y la ATH como cargas en la goma de silicona vulcanizada a temperatura ambiente que se emplea actualmente en el aislamiento externo para cubrir aisladores de porcelana o vidrio. Este estudio se realiza comparando recubrimientos de silicona vulcanizada a temperatura ambiente que contienen como cargas conjuntamente nanosílice y ATH con otros recubrimientos que contienen estas cargas de manera independiente. Dicha comparación se realiza en cuanto a la resistencia a la erosión, la limitación de las corrientes de fuga en condiciones de niebla salina y la pérdida y recuperación de la hidrofobicidad. Los resultados de este trabajo muestran un mejor desempeño de los recubrimientos que contienen conjuntamente como cargas la nanosílice y la ATH que los recubrimientos que las contienen de manera independiente.

The electrical network is one of the least detected sources of electromagnetic interference, but it causes adverse effects on the medical equipment that is in its radius of action. The objective of this work is to analyze the effect of the magnetic field on the signal emitted by the Audix V equipment. A magnetic field generator, a gaussmeter, a signal simulator and an Audix equipment were transmitted. The research was carried out, following a methodology developed from different methods found in the literature. Screenshots of the signals emitted by the Audix V with visible influence on the parameters that characterize it were obtained by applying field values even below the 3.77 µT allowed by the IEC. It was concluded that there may be an error in the diagnosis due to the deformation caused by the electromagnetic field on the characteristics of the signal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Preterm infants are born with immature organs, thus affecting the immune system. Electromagnetic fields influence melatonin production with low exposure levels. These infants require medical equipment 24/7 to recover, so they are constantly exposed to magnetic fields during their stay in the Intensive Care Unit. Our objective was to measure magnetic field levels generated around each incubator using a gauss meter and compare our results to the 2010 recommendations by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection and the IEC 60601-1-2:2004 standard by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Among 11 hospitalized newborn infants, radiation was found within the recommended limits, but there was electromagnetic interference resulting from medical equipment layout problems in the unit., Competing Interests: None, (Sociedad Argentina de Pediatría.)
