Objetivo: Avaliar a associação entre os níveis de priorização para admissão na unidade de terapia intensiva (UTI) e o prognóstico dos pacientes.Material e método: Estudo longitudinal retrospectivo que incluiu adultos internados na UTI de hospital universitário ano de 2020. As variáveis, coletadas nos prontuários e banco de dados eletrônicos do hospital contemplam: identificação, data de entrada no hospital e de admissão na UTI, diagnósticos, antecedentes, data de alta, desfecho, cálculo do Simplified Acute Physiology Score 3 (SAPS 3) e nível de priorização da admissão. Resultados: O estudo avaliou 274 pacientes. As patologias respiratórias totalizaram 41,25% das admissões, sendo COVID-19 o diagnóstico mais frequente (65 casos confirmados e 2 suspeitos). Dentre as comorbidades, destacam-se hipertensão arterial sistêmica (64,32%), diabetes mellitus (25,82%) e tabagismo (18,78%). O SAPS 3 médio foi de 59,29 pontos, representando uma probabilidade de óbito de 39,00%. A respeito dos níveis de priorizações, 174 (63,50%) pacientes foram classificados como prioridade 1 (P1); 94 (34,31%) pacientes como prioridade 2 (P2); e 6 (2,19%) pacientes como prioridade 3 (P3). Comparando os grupos P1 e P2, a probabilidade de óbito foi, respectivamente, 51,95% e 13,75%. E o número de óbitos observado foi de 90 (60,81%) no grupo P1 e 19 no grupo P2 (25,30%; p

The use of geospatial technologies to identify and document architectural heritage, with the associated benefits for managing information, is already relatively widespread. However, there has been little discussion about the difficulties, decision-making process and problems encountered when using GIS to digitize data, identify and document this heritage. This study sets out to propose a conceptual work to explore the relationship between immovable industrial heritage documentation and GIS application on the basis of case studies, in particular: the identification and documentation of the industrial heritage in the Eurocity of Guadiana and the olive mills in Écija. After discussing the workflow developed, the difficulties and problems encountered, and how these determine the structure of the GIS model, the decision-making process and the results, this paper concludes that further progress is still necessary to acquire a more pragmatic vision of the use of GIS in the field of industrial archaeology., A utilização de tecnologias geoespaciais para identificar e documentar o património arquitectónico, com os benefícios associados à gestão da informação, está já relativamente difundida. No entanto, tem havido pouca discussão sobre as dificuldades, o processo de tomada de decisão e os problemas encontrados na utilização dos SIG para digitalizar dados, identificar e documentar este património. Este estudo pretende propor um trabalho conceptual para explorar a relação entre a documentação do património industrial imóvel e a aplicação dos SIG com base em estudos de caso, em particular: a identificação e documentação do património industrial na Eurocidade do Guadiana e dos moínhos de azeite (Écija). Após discutir o trabalho desenvolvido, as dificuldades e problemas encontrados, e como estes determinam a estrutura do modelo SIG, o processo de tomada de decisão e os resultados, conclui-se que são necessários mais progressos para adquirir uma visão mais pragmática da utilização do SIG no domínio da arqueologia industrial.

The mobility of tourists and residents in tourism destinations is an important topic of research, due to all the dynamics and actors evolved. This paper is part of the Scientific Research and Technological Development (IC&DT) Project “Accessibility for All in Tourism” (Acces4all). It aims to present the results of the questionnaires applied at Faro International Airport to senior tourists on their day of departure, between April and September 2018, in order to evaluate their profile and some of the main characteristics of their mobility in their home country and during their stay in the Algarve. The data collected allow the validation of 851 questionnaires. The respondents profile mainly points to people with mobility problems at the motor level (61.6%), who need technical support to move, namely cane (31.3%), crutches (16.2%), wheelchair (12.3%) or a tripod cane (12.3%). Little or no use of public transport in everyday life is mainly associated with difficulty walking (34.3%) or climbing stairs (32.6%). During their stay in the Algarve, respondents use almost exclusively private transport, such as taxi or Uber services (43.8%), organized transfers between the airport and accommodation (36.2%), between accommodation and the airport (33.5%), as well as rent-a-car services (31.7%). There is little or no demand for public transport. The reasons for choosing organized transport on the day of arrival and departure are mainly due to the ease and speed of the service (49.9%) and the lack of public transport at destination (38.3%)., La movilidad de los turistas durante su estancia en un destino turístico es un tema de investigación cada vez más importante debido a todas las dinámicas y actores implicados. Este artículo forma parte del Proyecto de Investigación Científica y Desarrollo Tecnológico (IC&DT) "Accesibilidad para Todos en el Turismo" (Acess4all), que tiene como objetivo presentar los resultados de los cuestionarios aplicados en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Faro a turistas sénior en su día de salida entre abril y septiembre de 2018, con el fin de evaluar su perfil y caracterizar su movilidad en su país de origen y durante su estancia en el Algarve. Los datos recogidos permitieron validar 851 cuestionarios. El perfil de los encuestados apunta principalmente a personas con problemas de movilidad a nivel motor (61,6%), con necesidad de apoyo técnico para desplazarse, concretamente bastón (31,3%), muletas (16,2%), silla de ruedas (12,3%) o bastón trípode (12,3%). El escaso o nulo uso del transporte público en su vida diaria se asocia principalmente a la dificultad para caminar (34,3%) o subir escaleras (32,6%). Durante su estancia en el Algarve, los encuestados muestran un uso casi exclusivo del transporte privado, como servicios de taxi o Uber (43,8%), traslados organizados entre el aeropuerto y el alojamiento (36,2%), entre el alojamiento y el aeropuerto (33,5%), así como coches de alquiler (31,7%). La demanda de transporte público es escasa o nula. Neste sentido surge o presente artigo, que está inserido no Projeto de Investigação Científica e Desenvolvimento Tecnológico (IC&DT) “Acessibilidade para Todos no Turismo” (Acess4all) e que visa apresentar os resultados dos questionários aplicados no Aeroporto Internacional de Faro, a turistas seniores no seu dia de partida entre os meses de abril e setembro de 2018, com o objetivo de avaliar o seu perfil e caracterizar a sua mobilidade no seu país de origem e durante a sua estadia no Algarve. Os dados recolhidos permitiram validar 851 questionários. O perfil dos inquiridos aponta principalmente para pessoas com problemas de mobilidade a nível motor (61,6%), com necessidade de apoios técnicos para se deslocarem, nomeadamente bengala (31,3%), canadianas (16,2%), cadeira de rodas (12,3%) ou uma bengala tripé (12,3%). A pouca ou nenhuma utilização de transportes públicos no seu dia-a-dia está associada essencialmente à dificuldade em andar a pé (34,3%) ou a subir escadas (32,6%). Durante a sua estadia no Algarve os inquiridos demonstram utilizar quase em exclusivo os transportes de índole privada, como os serviços de táxi ou Uber (43,8%), transferes organizados entre o aeroporto e o alojamento (36,2%), entre o alojamento e o aeroporto (33,5%), assim como carros de aluguer (31,7%). Verifica-se uma procura diminuta ou quase nula de transportes públicos. As razões para a escolha de transportes organizados no dia de chegada e partida referem-se essencialmente a maior facilidade e rapidez do serviço (49,9%) e pelo facto de desconhecerem os transportes públicos no destino (38,3%).

As metodologias ativas de aprendizagem são essenciais, colocando o aluno como protagonista do seu próprio aprendizado. Dentre essas metodologias, temos a Sala de Aula Invertida (SAI), do inglês Flipped Classroom, que pode possibilitar que o aprendiz seja um participante ativo e não mais, simplesmente, um receptor de informações. Com isso, este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar e discutir um Projeto de Inovação Pedagógica (PIP) desenvolvido em uma instituição de ensino superior (IES), analisando a percepção dos monitores, professores e alunos, segundo a experiência com a metodologia SAI. Verificamos que existem desafios quanto a implantação das metodologias ativas entre os professores, mas que ainda assim muitos professores tem interesse em aprender um pouco mais sobre o tema. Na perspectiva dos alunos e monitores envolvidos, estes foram unanimes em afirmar que as atividades do projeto trouxeram benefícios aos envolvidos. Diante das respostas aos questionários percebemos que o programa atendeu ao que foi proposto, e que os alunos se sentiram satisfeitos com o projeto, o que ressalta a importância de dar continuidade a trabalhos com esse tipo de abordagem.

Active learning methodologies are essential, placing the student as the protagonist of their own learning. Among these methodologies, the Flipped Classroom allows the learner to be an active participant and no longer simply a receiver of information. This article aims to present and discuss a Pedagogical Innovation Project (PIP) developed at a university, analyzing the perception of monitors, professors and students, according to their experience with the Flipped Classroom. We found that there are challenges regarding the implementation of active methodologies among teachers, but that still many teachers are interested in learning more about the subject. From the perspective of students and monitors, they were unanimous in stating that the project activities brought benefits to those involved. In view of the responses to the questionnaires, we realized that the program met what was proposed, and that the students felt satisfied with the project, which highlights the importance of continuing to work with this type of approach., Las metodologías activas de aprendizaje son fundamentales, situando al alumno como protagonista de su propio aprendizaje. Entre estas metodologías, tenemos el Aula Invertida, que puede permitir que el alumno sea un participante activo y no simplemente un receptor de información. Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar y discutir un Proyecto de Innovación Pedagógica (PIP) desarrollado en una institución de educación superior (IES), analizando la percepción de monitores, docentes y estudiantes, según la experiencia con la metodología Aula Invertida. Purpose Facility management (FM) is regarded as an emerging issue in civil engineering and is responsible for ensuring the building's expected performance. The purpose of this study is to analyze buildings' current FM processes for educational and high residential segments and propose an FM-building information modeling (BIM) (BIM6D) to understand the information flow and leading players with and without FM-BIM integration. Design/methodology/approach The research strategy was a case study with data from the FM process of two buildings. This study was carried out in three stages: diagnosis of FM of the two buildings, FM-BIM integration and information flow and leading players analysis. Maintenance activities were categorized according to periodicity and status criteria for each project element for FM-BIM integration and were visualized in the Revit design using Dynamo software. Findings The results of this study show differences in how FM is conducted, especially in formalization and preventive character, and similarities regarding the difficulty of foreseen and lack of control because of scattered, disconnected and incomplete information on both. The visual appeal of the FM-BIM integration facilitates information access. It optimizes the use of the digital model through the most prolonged phase of the life cycle of a building (post-occupation phase). However, FM-BIM challenges buildings that do not have digital model expertise as residential segments. This study suggests a more significant role for construction companies in these cases. Originality/value This study investigates BIM-FM integration of buildings in two different contexts and reveals the importance of a construction company's role in buildings in the residential segment. This study contributes with real-life cases on BIM in existing buildings, discussing the value and challenges of BIM in FM applications.

This paper studies the digital literacy of elderly tourists who have chosen the Algarve as their destination. Quantitative methods were applied to analyze part of the data collected within the project ACCES4ALL - Accessibility for All in Tourism (2017-2019). In this project, questionnaire surveys were answered by 851 senior tourists aged 60+ at the International Airport of Faro. The present research has the specific goal of identifying and analyzing what characteristics influence the use of the Internet, QR code and NFC technology. Descriptive and inferential statistics were performed. The results show that as the age of the surveyed elderly tourists increases, their Internet use decreases. The higher the respondent's level of education, the higher their internet use. Elderly tourists without disabilities use the Internet more than those with disabilities. Few surveyed elderly tourists are familiar with the use of QR codes and NFC technology. In general, it was possible to observe that the elderly tourists surveyed have a high digital literacy concerning the use of the Internet. Further research will analyse if these senior tourists use digital tools for travel planning.

Car journeys to work represent a high percentage of daily mobility. Carpooling can be an efficient alternative for managing this transport demand. Carpooling benefits are not limited to reducing emissions and energy consumption: users can also benefit in the reduction in travel costs and travel time using high-occupancy vehicle lanes, as well as reducing commuting stress. The organization of such a system is not easy to carry out individually. Institutions and companies with a high number of employees are suitable for carpooling initiatives, and the education sector holds a high number of workers. Considering the large number of teachers and the fact that many of them are regular drivers, the sector presents an opportunity to design a formal carpooling transport system. This paper presents the design of a proposal for a carpooling system among workers from the education sector in the region of Andalusia, Spain. The system yielded relevant benefits such as cost savings, emissions reductions, and a high number of potential users. Objetivo:verificar la estabilidad del clorhidrato de vancomicina en soluciones de sellado antimicrobiano solo y combinado con heparina sódica según la temperatura y el tiempo de combinación.Método:estudio experimental diseñado para analizar el potencial de hidrógeno y la concentración por cromatografía líquida de alta resolución de soluciones de clorhidrato de vancomicina (n=06) y de clorhidrato de vancomicina y heparina sódica (n=06). Las soluciones estudiadas fueron sometidas a ausencia de luz, 22°C y 37°C. Se realizaron análisis por triplicado (n=192) en el momento inicial (T0), a las tres (T3), ocho (T8) y 24 horas (T24) después de la preparación. Los datos fueron sometidos a análisis de varianza (p≤0,05).Resultados:la concentración de antimicrobiano a 22°C mostró una reducción (T0-T8) y un posterior aumento (T24); el potencial de hidrógeno disminuyó significativamente con el tiempo. A 37°C, la concentración aumentó hasta T3 y disminuyó en T24, el potencial de hidrógeno disminuyó hasta las 24 horas. La concentración de las soluciones de clorhidrato de vancomicina y heparina sódica mostró variación con la reducción a 22°C acompañada de un aumento del potencial de hidrógeno. Mediante inspección visual se observó la formación de un precipitado al combinar clorhidrato de vancomicina y heparina sódica (T3).Conclusión:el clorhidrato de vancomicina (5 mg/ml) presentó evidencia de estabilidad farmacológica e incompatibilidad física con la heparina sódica (100 UI/ml) después de las tres horas de haberse realizado la combinación en las soluciones de sellado antimicrobiano estudiadas. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância (p≤0,05). Resultados:a concentração do antimicrobiano a 22°C apresentou redução (T0-T8) e posterior elevação (T24); o potencial hidrogeniônico diminuiu significativamente ao longo do tempo. Em 37°C a concentração aumentou em até T3 e reduziu em T24, com redução de potencial hidrogeniônico até 24 horas. A concentração das soluções de cloridrato de vancomicina e heparina sódica apresentaram variação com redução a 22°C acompanhada de aumento de potencial hidrogeniônico. Observou-se formação de precipitado por inspeção visual da associação cloridrato de vancomicina e heparina sódica (T3).Conclusão:evidenciou-se estabilidade farmacológica do cloridrato de vancomicina (5 mg/mL) e incompatibilidade física com heparina sódica (100 UI/mL) após três horas de associação nas soluções de selo antimicrobiano estudadas. The solutions studied were submitted to absence of light, as well as to 22°C and 37°C. Analyses in triplicate (n=192) were performed at the initial moment (T0) and three (T3), eight (T8) and 24 hours (T24) after preparation. The data were submitted to analysis of variance (p≤0.05).Results:concentration of the antimicrobial at 22°C presented a reduction (T0-T8) and a subsequent increase (T24); hydrogenionic potential decreased significantly over time. At 37°C, the concentration increased up to T3 and decreased at T24, with a reduction of hydrogenionic potential up to 24 hours. Concentration of the vancomycin hydrochloride and heparin sodium solutions varied with a reduction at 22°C, accompanied by increased hydrogenionic potential. Precipitate formation was observed by visual inspection of the vancomycin hydrochloride-heparin sodium association (T3).Conclusion:pharmacological stability of vancomycin hydrochloride (5 mg/mL) and physical incompatibility with heparin sodium (100 IU/mL) were evidenced after three hours of association in the antimicrobial seal solutions studied.

Sustainable mobility is a current challenge in our society. Research shows that carpooling systems are potential solutions that could mitigate environmental pollution and urban congestion and provide cost savings for their users. Despite their potential benefits, the levels of carpooling practices among some occupations could be improved. Teachers are suitable for carpooling experiences due to their specific working conditions (e.g., timetables, destinations changes, path matches); however, there is no research solely focused on teachers. Thus, the current research aimed to analyze the barriers and incentives for teachers using carpooling systems for commuting. A panel member was selected following the staticized group technique. Panelists were surveyed to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of carpooling. Results showed that fuel savings were considered by the expert panel as the most important incentive for carpooling. For short distances, carpooling was not considered the best commuting option. Additionally, the increase in travel time and loss of personal independence were identified as relevant barriers. Based on the opinions of experts, it can be concluded that carpooling barriers outweigh the incentives for the commuting of teachers. To promote carpooling practices, institutional mobility plans with advantages for carpoolers could improve the teachers’ perceptions about carpooling. Future carpooling strategies should consider these results to promote incentives and address the identified barriers. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Cultural sustainability matters tangible and intangible heritage, cultural diversity, and the cultural identity of territories. Historic centres have considerable heritage resources that honour the legacy and knowledge generated by humanity in the past, and it is fundamental to preserve and transmit them to future generations. With the industrial revolution, innovative materials and techniques were developed. These are visible in 19th century buildings, as there was an intensive use of decorative elements on their facades, in which the use of cast and wrought iron artwork stood out, such as the window grilles and balconies, fanlights and side panels, doorknobs, knockers and hinges, among others. These metallic elements participate in the composition of the buildings, enhancing the urban landscape. The perception of the importance of these decorative elements in the architectural language of the buildings located in the historical centre of Lagos, Portugal, led to an inventory of the iron elements on the facade of buildings, finding that they have specific characteristics in terms of shape or design, material, and symbolic representation. These architectural elements are adapted to artistic movements and to distinct periods. This study presents the spatial distribution of cast and wrought iron elements indicative of the Romantic period of the end of the 19th century and to the Art Nouveau period of the beginning of the 20th century. The results indicate that the decorative iron elements have great expression, giving aesthetic value to the urban landscape and cultural identity being an opportunity to enhance the attractiveness of the historic centre through outdoor cultural routes. Mammals are threatened worldwide, with 26% of all species being includedin the IUCN threatened categories. This overall pattern is primarily associatedwith habitat loss or degradation, and human persecution for terrestrial mam-mals, and pollution, open net fishing, climate change, and prey depletion formarine mammals. Mammals play a key role in maintaining ecosystems func-tionality and resilience, and therefore information on their distribution is cru-cial to delineate and support conservation actions. MAMMALS INPORTUGAL is a publicly available data set compiling unpublishedgeoreferenced occurrence records of 92 terrestrial, volant, and marine mam-mals in mainland Portugal and archipelagos of the Azores and Madeira thatincludes 105,026 data entries between 1873 and 2021 (72% of the data occur-ring in 2000 and 2021). The methods used to collect the data were: live obser-vations/captures (43%), sign surveys (35%), camera trapping (16%),bioacoustics surveys (4%) and radiotracking, and inquiries that represent lessthan 1% of the records. The data set includes 13 types of records: (1) burrowsjsoil moundsjtunnel, (2) capture, (3) colony, (4) dead animaljhairjskullsjjaws, (5) genetic confirmation, (6) inquiries, (7) observation of live animal (8),observation in shelters, (9) photo trappingjvideo, (10) predators dietjpelletsjpine cones/nuts, (11) scatjtrackjditch, (12) telemetry and (13) vocalizationjecholocation. The spatial uncertainty of most records ranges between 0 and100 m (76%). Rodentia (n=31,573) has the highest number of records followedby Chiroptera (n=18,857), Carnivora (n=18,594), Lagomorpha (n=17,496),Cetartiodactyla (n=11,568) and Eulipotyphla (n=7008). The data setincludes records of species classified by the IUCN as threatened(e.g.,Oryctolagus cuniculus[n=12,159],Monachus monachus[n=1,512],andLynx pardinus[n=197]). We believe that this data set may stimulate thepublication of other European countries data sets that would certainly contrib-ute to ecology and conservation-related research, and therefore assisting onthe development of more accurate and tailored conservation managementstrategies for each species.
