Fast and accurate counting and positioning of flowers is the foundation of automated flower cultivation production. However, it remains a challenge to complete the counting and positioning of high-density flowers against a complex background. Therefore, this paper proposes a lightweight flower counting and positioning model, Light-FC-YOLO, based on YOLOv8s. By integrating lightweight convolution, the model is more portable and deployable. At the same time, a new efficient detection head, Efficient head, and the integration of the LSKA large kernel attention mechanism are proposed to enhance the model's feature detail extraction capability and change the weight ratio of the shallow edge and key point information in the network. Finally, the SIoU loss function with target angle deviation calculation is introduced to improve the model's detection accuracy and target positioning ability. Experimental results show that Light-FC-YOLO, with a model size reduction of 27.2% and a parameter reduction of 39.0%, has a Mean Average Precision (mAP) and recall that are 0.8% and 1.4% higher than YOLOv8s, respectively. In the counting comparison experiment, the coefficient of determination (R2) and Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of Light-FC-YOLO reached 0.9577 and 8.69, respectively, both superior to lightweight models such as YOLOv8s. Background: CT reconstruction is of essential importance in medical imaging. In 2022, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) sponsored a Grand Challenge to investigate the challenging inverse problem of spectral CT reconstruction, with the aim of achieving the most accurate reconstruction results. The authors of this paper participated in the challenge and won as a runner‐up team. Purpose: This paper reports details of our PROSPECT algorithm (Prior‐based Restricted‐variable Optimization for SPEctral CT) and follow‐up studies regarding the algorithm's accuracy and enhancement of its convergence speed. Methods: We formulated the reconstruction task as an optimization problem. PROSPECT employed a one‐step backward iterative scheme to solve this optimization problem by allowing estimation of and correction for the difference between the actual polychromatic projection model and the monochromatic model used in the optimization problem. PROSPECT incorporated various forms of prior information derived by analyzing training data provided by the Grand Challenge to reduce the number of unknown variables. We investigated the impact of projection data precision on the resulting solution accuracy and improved convergence speed of the PROSPECT algorithm by incorporating a beam‐hardening correction (BHC) step in the iterative process. We also studied the algorithm's performance under noisy projection data. Results: Prior knowledge allowed a reduction of the number of unknown variables by 85.9%$85.9\%$. PROSPECT algorithm achieved the average root of mean square error (RMSE) of 3.3×10−6$3.3\,\times \,10^{-6}$ in the test data set provided by the Grand Challenge. Performing the reconstruction with the same algorithm but using double‐precision projection data reduced RMSE to 1.2×10−11$1.2\,\times \,10^{-11}$. Including the BHC step in the PROSPECT algorithm accelerated the iteration process with a 40% reduction in computation time. Using historical traffic flow information to accurately and real-time predict future traffic flow information is particularly important for the management and control of traffic scenarios, and the guidance and planning of traffic travel. Short-term traffic flow prediction requires a large amount of forecast data and complex changes in traffic flow in space and time. However, the current prediction model cannot meet the requirements of real-time and accuracy of short-term traffic flow prediction. This paper proposes two traffic flow prediction models based on the changing trend and correlation of short-term traffic flow in time and space, combined with deep learning related theories. Firstly, this paper takes the traffic flow of the expressway as the research object, explores the basic parameters of traffic flow-flow, speed occupancy rate in time and space distribution law and change trend, and selects the speed as the research object, analyzes its temporal and spatial characteristics and correlation to provide data support for this study. Then, this paper introduces the related theories and frameworks of deep learning, mainly including neural network theory and hyperparameter optimization theory, as well as the deep learning model design framework. Pytorch and hyperparameter optimization framework Optuna, so as to provide theoretical foundation and technical support for this research. Finally, experiments of short-term traffic prediction based on single detection point and short-term traffic prediction based on multiple detection points are carried out on the PeMS dataset. Firstly, a multi-lane spatiotemporal convolutional network model (MSCTAN) based on traffic flow prediction at a single detection point is proposed to capture the spatiotemporal correlation of multi-lane traffic at a single detection point. Accurate and swift estimation of the future performance degradation of Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs) is crucial for the health management of PEMFC. However, most existing studies primarily concentrate on uncovering the inherent patterns of performance degradation parameters, neglecting the fundamental relationships and pattern variations between performance degradation and other characteristic parameters (such as flow rate, temperature, and pressure). This paper seeks to address this research gap. To that end, we delve into feature parameters, extracting underlying patterns of feature evolution to construct a feature exploration-based framework for predicting PEMFC performance degradation. Initially, Time-Varying Filtered Empirical Mode Decomposition (TVF-EMD) is employed to decompose each feature variable, isolating the core information of the features. Furthermore, to reduce the computational burden caused by redundant features, Uniform Manifold Approximation and Projection (UMAP) is used to perform dimensionality reduction on the decomposed feature subsequences, ensuring the efficiency and representativeness of the extracted features. Finally, to overcome the shortcomings of long short-term memory networks (LSTM) in terms of convergence and the effective use of time series information, we introduce an innovative Mogrifier LSTM (M-LSTM) model to enhance the accuracy of PEMFC performance degradation predictions. The experimental and validation results demonstrate that the extraction of feature parameters significantly enhances the predictive precision of the baseline model. Relative to the compared models, there was an improvement of at least 16.859% in Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), a minimum increase of 23.333% in Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and a boost of no less than 0.913% in the coefficient of determination (R 2 ). Over the past decades, the software industry has expanded to include all industries. Since stakeholders tend to use it to get their work done, software houses seek to estimate the cost of the software, which includes calculating the effort, time, and resources required. Although many researchers have worked to estimate it, the prediction accuracy results are still inaccurate and unstable. Estimating it requires a lot of effort. Therefore, there is an urgent need for modern techniques that contribute to cost estimation. This paper seeks to present a model based on deep learning and machine learning techniques by combining convolutional neural networks (CNN) and the particle swarm algorithm (PSO) in the context of time series forecasting, which enables feature extraction and automatic tuning of hyperparameters, which reduces the manual effort of selecting parameters and contributes to fine-tuning. The use of PSO also enhances the robustness and generalization ability of the CNN model and its iterative nature allows for efficient discovery of hyperparameter similarity. The model was trained and tested on 13 different benchmark datasets and evaluated through six metrics: mean absolute error (MAE), mean square error (MSE), mean magnitude relative error (MMRE), root mean square error (RMSE), median magnitude relative error (MdMRE), and prediction accuracy (PRED). Comparative results reveal that the performance of the proposed model is better than other methods for all datasets and evaluation criteria. There exist numerous multi‐path signals with impulsive noise (IN) in a multi‐path propagation environment. The direction‐of‐arrival (DOA) is highly challenging to be assessed because of the strong IN. For various military along with civilian applications, DOA estimation has turned into a hopeful technology. But, estimating DOA for multipath signals with IN environments is extremely complicated. A desirable output is not attained by several existent techniques, namely subspace‐centric approaches, maximum likelihood techniques, along with sparse representation‐centric methods, for DOA assessment. Therefore, an effective satin bowerbird optimization‐based deep learning neural network centered DOA estimation upon single snapshots is proposed in this paper for attaining robust and precise DOA estimation in multipath and IN environments. An arbitrary array configuration is employed by utilizing the proposed work as an input signal for establishing the received signal's model. Pre‐processing, time‐frequency domain conversion, feature extraction, feature reduction and DOA estimation are the proposed method's 5 disparate stages. The ever-increasing demand for electricity has presented a grave threat to traditional energy sources, which are finite, rapidly depleting, and have a detrimental environmental impact. These shortcomings of conventional energy resources have caused the globe to switch from traditional to renewable energy sources. Wind power significantly contributes to carbon-free energy because it is widely accessible, inexpensive, and produces no harmful emissions. Better and more efficient renewable wind power production relies on accurate wind speed predictions. Accurate short-term wind speed forecasting is essential for effectively handling unsteady wind power generation and ensuring that wind turbines operate safely. The significant stochastic nature of the wind speed and its dynamic unpredictability makes it difficult to forecast. This paper develops a hybrid model, L-LG-S, for precise short-term wind speed forecasting to address problems in wind speed forecasting. In this research, state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning algorithms employed in wind speed forecasting are compared with the proposed approach. The effectiveness of the proposed hybrid model is tested using real-world wind speed data from a wind turbine located in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. Moreover, the mean square error (MSE), root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute error (MAE) are used as accuracy evaluation indices. In this paper, we propose a global ionospheric total electron content (TEC) maps (GIM) prediction model based on deep learning methods that is both straightforward and practical, meeting the requirements of various applications. The proposed model utilizes an encoder-decoder structure with a Convolution Long Short-Term Memory (ConvLSTM) network and has a spatial resolution of 5° longitude and 2.5° latitude, with a time resolution of 1 h. We utilized the Center for Orbit Determination in Europe (CODE) GIM dataset for 18 years from 2002 to 2019, without requiring any other external input parameters, to train the ConvLSTM models for forecasting GIM 1, 2, and 3 days in advance. Using the CODE GIM data from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2023 as the test dataset, the performance evaluation results show that the average root mean square errors (RMSE) for 1, 2 and 3 days of forecasts are 2.81 TECU, 3.16 TECU, and 3.41 TECU, respectively. These results show improved performance compared to the IRI-Plas model and CODE's 1-day forecast product c1pg, and comparable to CODE's 2-day forecast c2pg. In this paper, an innovative cyclic noise reduction method and an improved CAPON algorithm (also the called minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) algorithm) are proposed to improve the accuracy and reliability of DOA (direction of arrival) estimation. By processing the eigenvalues obtained from the covariance matrix of the received signal, the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) can be increased by up to 5 dB by the cyclic noise reduction method, which will improve the DOA estimation accuracy. The improved CAPON algorithm has a convolution neural network (CNN) structure, whose input is the processed covariance matrix of the received signal, and the CAPON spectral value is used as the training label to obtain the estimated spatial spectrum. It retains the advantages of the CAPON algorithm, which can achieve blind source estimation, and simulations show that the proposed algorithm exhibits a better performance than the traditional algorithm in conditions of various SNRs and snapshot numbers. The simulation results show that, based on a certain SNR, the root mean square error (RMSE) of the improved CAPON algorithm can be reduced from 0.86° to 0.8° compared to traditional algorithms, and the angle estimation error can be decreased by up to about 0.3°. Protein-ligand binding affinity plays a pivotal role in drug development, particularly in identifying potential ligands for target disease-related proteins. Accurate affinity predictions can significantly reduce both the time and cost involved in drug development. However, highly precise affinity prediction remains a research challenge. A key to improve affinity prediction is to capture interactions between proteins and ligands effectively. Existing deep-learning-based computational approaches use 3D grids, 4D tensors, molecular graphs, or proximity-based adjacency matrices, which are either resource-intensive or do not directly represent potential interactions. In this paper, we propose atomic-level distance features and attention mechanisms to capture better specific protein-ligand interactions based on donor-acceptor relations, hydrophobicity, and π -stacking atoms. We argue that distances encompass both short-range direct and long-range indirect interaction effects while attention mechanisms capture levels of interaction effects. On the very well-known CASF-2016 dataset, our proposed method, named Distance plus Attention for Affinity Prediction (DAAP), significantly outperforms existing methods by achieving Correlation Coefficient (R) 0.909, Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) 0.987, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) 0.745, Standard Deviation (SD) 0.988, and Concordance Index (CI) 0.876. The proposed method also shows substantial improvement, around 2% to 37%, on five other benchmark datasets. Due to the uncertainty in output caused by environmental changes, significant discrepancies are expected between the surface flow velocities predicted using deep learning methods and the instantaneous flow velocities. In this paper, a two-stage deep learning flow velocity measurement algorithm is proposed. During the external calibration process, the upper and lower frames of the recorded water flow video are cyclically traversed to acquire predicted flow velocity values using the deep learning velocity measurement algorithm. Meanwhile, the pixel displacement is obtained using the sparse optical flow tracking method and then post-processed to derive the velocity calibration value and pixel calibration value. During the detection process, the deep learning-predicted flow velocity is internally calibrated using the velocity calibration value and the pixel calibration value to adapt to changes in water flows. Compared with the pre-improved algorithm, the method achieves the minimum root mean square error in five different flow velocity videos and maintains high accuracy when the flow velocity changes rapidly. Flettner rotors are wind propulsion systems using the Magnus effect to generate thrust, thereby reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions in the ships. However, rotor unbalance can cause excessive vibrations and energy loss, affecting the performance and stability of the system. There is a need to have a system onboard, which can predict the vibrations. The paper proposes a deep learning approach to predict the vibrations and unbalanced forces of a Flettner rotor based on the data of ECO Flettner rotor onboard the vessel MV Fehn pollux. The paper develops two methods to estimate the direction and magnitude of the unbalanced forces using the reading values of the strain gauges. The work also compares two recurrent neural network models, namely Long-short term memory and Gated Recurrent Unit, for vibration prediction and evaluates their performance using Mean Absolute Error and Root Mean Squared Error metrics. The results show that Longshort term memory model outperforms Gated Recurrent Unit model in prediction accuracy and can be implemented on the system onboard to monitor and prevent rotor unbalance. This paper designed and developed an online digital imaging excitation sensor for wind power gearbox wear condition monitoring based on an adaptive deep learning method. A digital imaging excitation sensing image information collection architecture for magnetic particles in lubricating oil was established to characterize the wear condition of mechanical equipment, achieving the real-time online collection of wear particles in lubricating oil. On this basis, a mechanical equipment wear condition diagnosis method based on online wear particle images is proposed, obtaining data from an engineering test platform based on a wind power gearbox. Firstly, a foreground segmentation preprocessing method based on the U-Net network can effectively eliminate the interference of bubbles and dark fields in online wear particle images, providing high-quality segmentation results for subsequent image processing, A total of 1960 wear particle images were collected in the experiment, the average intersection union ratio of the validation set is 0.9299, and the accuracy of the validation set is 0.9799. Secondly, based on the foreground segmentation preprocessing of wear particle images, by using the watered algorithm to obtain the number of particles in each size segment, we obtained the number of magnetic particle grades in three different ranges: 4–38 µm, 39–70 µm, and >70 µm. Thirdly, we proposed a method named multidimensional transformer (MTF) network. Mean Square Error (MSE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), and Mean Absolute Error (MAE) are used to obtain the error, and the maintenance strategy is formulated according to the predicted trend. The experimental results show that the predictive performance of our proposed model is better than that of LSTM and TCN. Finally, the online real-time monitoring system triggered three alarms, and at the same time, our offline sampling data analysis was conducted, the accuracy of online real-time monitoring alarms was verified, and the gearbox of the wind turbine was shut down for maintenance and repair. To achieve successful prevention of fire incidents originating from human activities, it is imperative to possess a thorough understanding. This paper introduces a machine learning approach, specifically utilizing deep neural networks (DNN), to develop predictive models for fire occurrence in Keelung City, Taiwan. It investigates ten factors across demographic, architectural, and economic domains through spatial analysis and thematic maps generated from geographic information system data. These factors are then integrated as inputs for the DNN model. Through 50 iterations, performance indices including the coefficient of determination (R2), root mean square error (RMSE), variance accounted for (VAF), prediction interval (PI), mean absolute error (MAE), weighted index (WI), weighted mean absolute percentage error (WMAPE), Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency (NS), and the ratio of performance to deviation (RPD) are computed, with average values of 0.89, 7.30 × 10−2, 89.21, 1.63, 4.90 × 10−2, 0.97, 2.92 × 10−1, 0.88, and 4.84, respectively. The model's predictions, compared with historical data, demonstrate its efficacy. Additionally, this study explores the impact of various urban renewal strategies using the DNN model, highlighting the significant influence of economic factors on fire incidence. It is of great significance to accurately grasp ground-level ozone concentration on a wide scale in order to cope with the increasingly serious ground-level ozone pollution problem. Currently, satellite technology can be used to monitor ground-level ozone concentration on a wide scale, but there is the problem of insufficient spatial resolution. The use of ground monitoring stations to detect ground-level ozone concentration can obtain more accurate ozone concentration around the station, but there are problems of limited number of stations and sparse distribution. Therefore, it is still a challenge to accurately grasp the ground-level ozone concentration at a large scale and high spatial resolution. To address this issue, this paper proposes a ground-level ozone concentration inversion algorithm based on deep learning methods, incorporating data from remote sensing satellites, ground monitoring stations, meteorological conditions, geography, and land use. Taking Yunnan Province in China as the experimental region and utilizing five-fold cross-validation, the model's Mean Square Error (MSE) reached 340.45 and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) reached 18.45. Compared to machine learning models, the error decreased by 14.53%, outperforming Random Forest models, Convolution Neural Networks, and Vision Transformers. Efficient and accurate prediction of the wind turbine dynamic wake is crucial for active wake control and load assessment in wind farms. This paper proposes a real-time dynamic wake prediction model for wind turbines based on a physics-guided neural network. The model can predict the instantaneous dynamic wake field under various operating conditions using only the inflow wind speed as input. The model utilizes Taylor's frozen-flow hypothesis and a steady-state wake model to convert instantaneous inflow wind speed and turbine parameters into neural network input features. A deep convolutional neural network then maps these features to desired wake field snapshots, enabling dynamic wake predictions for wind turbines. To train the model, we generated approximately 255 000 instantaneous flow field snapshots of single-turbine wakes using the large eddy simulation, covering different thrust coefficients and yaw angles. The model was trained using the supervised learning method and verified on the test set. The results indicate that the model can effectively predict the dynamic wake characteristics, including the dynamic wake meandering and the wake deflection of the yawed turbines. The model can also assess both the instantaneous wake velocity and the instantaneous wake center of a wind turbine. At a thrust coefficient of 0.75, the root mean square error for the predicted instantaneous wake velocity is around 6.53%, while the Pearson correlation coefficient for the predicted instantaneous wake center can reach 0.624. This paper proposes an explainable recommendation algorithm based on deep learning for developing a transparent and explainable recommendation system. The proposed algorithm combines a multi-feature fusion model for text sentiment analysis and the innovative DeepxDeepFM recommendation model to provide accurate and interpretable recommendations. First, Bi-LSTM and MCNN are employed to extract multi-dimensional features from comment data. Then, the DeepxDeepFM recommendation model is used explicitly for comment data with numerous feature vectors and significant linear changes. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that our proposed explainable recommendation algorithm increases the accuracy by 1.57% and decreases the root mean square error by 2.69%, contributing to higher model performance. Compared to other models, the improved interpretable recommendation model is smaller in size and more accurate, so it can maximize the click-through rate of e-commerce recommendation systems, which is crucial for achieving precise recommendations in the field of e-commerce. Blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) is an essential physiological parameter for evaluating a person's health. While conventional SpO2 measurement devices like pulse oximeters require skin contact, advanced computer vision technology can enable remote SpO2 monitoring through a regular camera without skin contact. In this paper, we propose novel deep learning models to measure SpO2 remotely from facial videos and evaluate them using a public benchmark database, VIPL-HR. We utilize a spatial–temporal representation to encode SpO2 information recorded by conventional RGB cameras and directly pass it into selected convolutional neural networks to predict SpO2. The best deep learning model achieves 1.274% in mean absolute error and 1.71% in root mean squared error, which exceed the international standard of 4% for an approved pulse oximeter. Our results significantly outperform the conventional analytical Ratio of Ratios model for contactless SpO2 measurement. Results of sensitivity analyses of the influence of spatial–temporal representation color spaces, subject scenarios, acquisition devices, and SpO2 ranges on the model performance are reported with explainability analyses to provide more insights for this emerging research field. Predicting diseases in the early stages is extremely important. By taking advantage of advances in deep learning and fuzzy logic techniques, a new model is proposed in this paper for disease evaluation depending on the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) with a genetic algorithm (GA) for classification, and the pre-trained DenseNet-201 model for feature extraction, in addition to the whale optimization algorithm (WOA) for feature selection. Two medical databases (chest X-ray and MRI brain tumor) for the diagnosis of two disease types were used as input in the suggested model. The optimization of ANFIS parameters was performed by GA to achieve the optimum prediction capability. DenseNet-201 for feature extraction was employed to obtain better classification accuracy. Having more features sometimes leads to lower accuracy, and this issue can be rectified using a feature selection strategy WOA which gave good results. The proposed model was evaluated utilizing statistical metrics root mean square error (RMSE), mean square error (MSE), standard deviation (STD), and coefficient of determination ( R 2 ), and it was compared with the conventional ANFIS model, with the proposed model (ANFIS-GA) showing a superior prediction capability over the ANFIS model. This paper introduces an innovative framework for wind power prediction that focuses on the future of energy forecasting utilizing intelligent deep learning and strategic feature engineering. This research investigates the application of a state-of-the-art deep learning model for wind energy prediction to make extremely short-term forecasts using real-time data on wind generation from New South Wales, Australia. In contrast with typical approaches to wind energy forecasting, this model relies entirely on historical data and strategic feature engineering to make predictions, rather than relying on meteorological parameters. A hybrid feature engineering strategy that integrates features from several feature generation techniques to obtain the optimal input parameters is a significant contribution to this work. The model's performance is assessed using key metrics, yielding optimal results with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 8.76, Mean Squared Error (MSE) of 139.49, Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) of 11.81, R-squared score of 0.997, and Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 4.85%. This study proposes a novel method, which is a U‐shaped convolutional neural network that combines non‐local attention mechanisms, Res2net residual modules, and terrain information (UNR‐Net). The original U‐Net method and the linear regression (LR) method are conducted as benchmarks. Generally, the UNR‐Net has demonstrated promise in performing a 10× downscaling for daily 2‐m temperature over North China with lead times of 1–7 days and shows superiority to the U‐Net and LR methods. To be specific, U‐Net and UNR‐Net demonstrate higher Nash‐Sutcliffe Efficiency coefficient values compared to LR by 0.052 and 0.077, respectively. The corresponding improvements in pattern correlation coefficient are 0.013 and 0.016, while the root mean square error values are higher by 0.22 and 0.338, respectively. Additionally, the structural similarity index metric is higher by 0.033 and lower by 0.015. Furthermore, regions with significant errors are primarily distributed in complex terrain areas such as the Taihang Mountains, where UNR‐Net exhibits noticeable improvements. In addition, the 12 components‐based error decomposition method is proposed to analyze the error source of different models. Generally, the smallest errors are observed during the summer season and the sequence error component is proven to be the main source error of 2‐m temperature forecasts. Furthermore, UNR‐Net consistently demonstrates the lowest errors among all 12 error components. Therefore, combining the numerical weather prediction model and deep learning method is very promising in downscaling temperature forecasts and can be applied to routine forecasting of other atmospheric variables in the future. Photovoltaic (PV) power generation forecasting is an important research topic, aiming to mitigate variability caused by weather conditions and improve power generation planning. Climate factors, including solar irradiance, temperature, and cloud cover, influence the energy conversion achieved by PV systems. Long-term weather forecasting improves PV power generation planning, while short-term forecasting enhances control methods, such as managing ramp rates. The stochastic nature of weather variables poses a challenge for linear regression methods. Consequently, advanced, state-of-the-art machine learning (ML) approaches capable of handling non-linear data, such as long short-term memory (LSTM), have emerged. This paper introduces the implementation of a multivariate machine learning model to forecast PV power generation, considering multiple weather variables. A deep learning solution was implemented to analyze weather variables in a short time horizon. Utilizing a hidden Markov model for data preprocessing, an LSTM model was trained using the Alice Spring dataset provided by DKA Solar Center. The proposed workflow demonstrated superior performance compared to the results obtained by state-of-the-art methods, including support vector machine, radiation classification coordinate with LSTM (RCC-LSTM), and ESNCNN specifically concerning the proposed multi-input single-output LSTM model. This improvement is attributed to incorporating input features such as active power, temperature, humidity, horizontal and diffuse irradiance, and wind direction, with active power serving as the output variable. Background: A Raman spectroscopy method can quickly and accurately measure the concentration of ofloxacin in solution. This method has the advantages of accuracy and rapidity over traditional detection methods. However, the manual analysis methods for the collected Raman spectral data often ignore the nonlinear characteristics of the data and cannot accurately predict the concentration of the target sample. Methods: To address this drawback, this paper proposes a novel kernel-Huber loss function that combines the Huber loss function with the Gaussian kernel function. This function is used with an improved genetic algorithm-convolutional neural network (GA-CNN) to model and predict the Raman spectral data of different concentrations of ofloxacin in solution. In addition, the paper introduces recurrent neural networks (RNN), long short-term memory (LSTM), bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) and gated recurrent units (GRU) models to conduct multiple experiments and use root mean square error (RMSE) and residual predictive deviation (RPD) as evaluation metrics. Results: The proposed method achieved an R 2 of 0.9989 on the test set data and improved by 3% over the traditional CNN. Multiple experiments were also conducted using RNN, LSTM, BiLSTM, and GRU models and evaluated their performance using RMSE, RPD, and other metrics. The results showed that the proposed method consistently outperformed these models. Computer vision provides a real-time, non-destructive, and indirect way of horticultural crop yield estimation. Deep learning helps improve horticultural crop yield estimation accuracy. However, the accuracy of current estimation models based on RGB (red, green, blue) images does not meet the standard of a soft sensor. Through enriching more data and improving the RGB estimation model structure of convolutional neural networks (CNNs), this paper increased the coefficient of determination (R2) by 0.0284 and decreased the normalized root mean squared error (NRMSE) by 0.0575. After introducing a novel loss function mean squared percentage error (MSPE) that emphasizes the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), the MAPE decreased by 7.58%. This paper develops a lettuce fresh weight estimation method through the multi-modal fusion of RGB and depth (RGB-D) images. With the multimodal fusion based on calibrated RGB and depth images, R2 increased by 0.0221, NRMSE decreased by 0.0427, and MAPE decreased by 3.99%. With the increasing proportion of solar energy in the energy system, accurate solar irradiance forecast is of great significance for low-cost energy scheduling. This paper proposes a new forecasting idea for day-ahead solar irradiance forecast on the day-ahead scale: Firstly, based on formula derivation and big data correlation analysis, this paper finds out multiple parameters related to GHI, and jointly uses these parameters to forecast GHI. Error revision during morning period (ERDMP) is innovatively proposed on this basis, towards a more accurate daytime forecast. In order to prove the reliability and universality of the method, relevant data from five different-climatic regions are respectively used in the experiment. The multi-variable historical data-based day-ahead solar irradiance forecast uses deep neural networks, including Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network. ERDMP uses a linear AutoRegressive (AR) model to predict the daytime error coefficients based on the morning error coefficients. According to the results, through the proposed ERDMP, Mean Absolute Error (MAE) decreases by about 25% to 30%, Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) decreases by about 20%, and R2 increases by about 5% to 10% when compared with the initial error of multi-parameter prediction models and other advanced models. There is a growing demand for Green AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies in the market and society, as it emerges as a promising technology. Green AI technologies are used to create sustainable solutions and reduce the environmental impact of AI. This paper focuses on describing the services of Green AI and the challenges associated with it at the community level. This article also highlights the accuracy levels of machine learning algorithms for various time periods. The process of choosing the appropriate input parameters for weather, locations, and complexity is outlined in this paper to examine the ML algorithms. For correcting the algorithm performance parameters, metrics like RMSE (root mean square error), MSE (mean square error), MAE (mean absolute error), and MPE (mean percentage error) are considered. Considering the performance and results of this review, the LSTM (long short-term memory) performed well in most cases. In recent decades, the world has witnessed a great expansion in the world of technology and electronics, in addition to the tremendous development in various industries, which has led to an increase in the need for electrical energy significantly. Renewable energy generated from environmentally friendly sources such as energy (solar, water, windmills, etc.) is the solution. The alternative is to provide that energy, especially as it is clean energy that does not cause the emission of carbon dioxide, which pollutes the air and the environment in general. This work presents a software model for producing the largest amount of energy by developing one of the best prediction techniques and using multi-parameter objective functions, where the proposed model called zero to maximum energy based on developing gradient boosting machine (DMP-DGBM) consists of several stages. The problem of this work is divided into parts: The first part is related to programming challenges, while the second part is related to application challenges; as we know, the prediction techniques are split based on the scientific field into two fields: prediction techniques related to data mining and predictions related to deep learning techniques; this work deals with the first type of prediction technique. (a) One of the data mining prediction techniques is the gradient boosting machine characterized by many features that make it the best. These features are GBM gives high accuracy results and works with huge data stream of data, but on the other hand, the core of that algorithm is a decision tree (DT) that has many limitations such as requiring choosing the root of the tree, determining the maximum number of levels of the tree, and also having high computation and long time. Therefore, the first challenge of this paper is how can avoid these limitations (i.e., high computation and implementation time) of this algorithm and benefit from their features. (b) The problem of generating electrical energy from environmentally friendly sources with high efficiency is one of the most important challenges in this field. Therefore, the second challenge of this paper is how can avoid these limitations by building an efficient technique to predict maximum energy from solar energy. DMP-DGBM model consists of many stages applied through a stepwise style. The first stage presents capturing datasets from scientific site which contains the data related to both weather and solar plant. The second stage is preprocessing which contains multi-steps including: (a) merging between two datasets; (b) splitting readings into intervals and deleting the duplicate; and (c) applying Pearson's correlation to the new dataset. In the third stage, the ZME-DGBM model is constructed based on developing gradient boosting techniques by replacing its kernel (i.e., decision tree function) with multi-parameter optimization functions. The stage begins with dividing the dataset into two sets using five cross-validation methods, and the training dataset is used to construct the DMP-DGBM models, while the testing dataset is used to evaluate them. Finally, the results of the DMP-DGBM are evaluated based on three measures (i.e., coefficient of determination, mean error, and root mean square error. The stage of constructing the predictor relied on replacing the GBM kernel with four different multi-parameter functions, as these were the parameters with the highest correlation with the target, and a threshold value of 0.95 was adopted as determining the importance of the parameters. The proposed model was characterized by giving the best results using a three-parameter function MPF4 for the GBM kernel, and those parameters were AC, TEM, and IRR, where the scale was (R2 = 0.9742), while for MSE = 0.0099 and RMSE = 0.0522 also the system is taken only 80 Ms to implement. A CatBoost-based intelligent tropical cyclone (TC) intensity-detecting model was built to quantify the intensity of TCs over the Western North Pacific (WNP) with the cloud-top brightness temperature (CTBT) data of Fengyun-2F (FY-2F) and Fengyun-2G (FY-2G) and the best-track data of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA-BST) in recent years (2015–2018). The CatBoost-based model was featured with the greedy strategy of combination, the ordering principle in optimizing the possible gradient bias and prediction shift problems, and the oblivious tree in fast scoring. Compared with the previous studies based on the pure convolutional neural network (CNN) models, the CatBoost-based model exhibited better skills in detecting the TC intensity with the root mean square error (RMSE) of 3.74 m s−1. In addition to the three mentioned model features, there are also two reasons for the model's design. On one hand, the CatBoost-based model used the method of introducing prior physical factors (e.g., the structure and shape of the cloud, deep convections, and background fields) into its training process. On the other hand, the CatBoost-based model expanded the dataset size from 2342 to 13,471 samples through hourly interpolations of the original dataset. Furthermore, this paper investigated the errors of this model in detecting the different categories of TC intensity. The results showed that the deep learning-based TC intensity-detecting model proposed in this paper has systematic biases, namely, the overestimation (underestimation) of intensities in TCs which were weaker (stronger) than at the typhoon level, and the errors of the model in detecting weaker (stronger) TCs were smaller (larger). In this paper, a novel model with a parallel structure is proposed to predict NOx emissions from coal‐fired boilers by using historical operational data, coal properties, and convolutional neural networks. The model inputs are processed and passed into three parallel subnetworks with well‐designed building blocks. The features learned by the three subnetworks are fused and used to predict NOx emissions from a 330‐MW pulverized coal‐fired utility boiler. A comprehensive comparison of different prediction models based on deep learning algorithms shows that the prediction model proposed in this paper outperforms other prediction models in terms of root mean square error criteria. The results show that the parallel structure is key to obtaining accurate predictions while reducing model complexity. With the rapid development of Internet medical information technology, a large amount of medical data appeared on the Internet, however, how to extract effective information from the massive and complex medical data to provide professional medical services and suggestions to users has become a hot spot for this research. The recommendation system can effectively solve the problem of accurate matching of complex medical data resources; however, the cold start, data sparsity and user interest migration of the system in the complex data environment have a large impact on the recommendation effect; therefore, this paper proposes a weighted neural matrix decomposition improved health management recommendation scheme incorporating deep learning techniques. The scheme first uses an implicit feedback method to improve the prediction scores and improve the linear model performance of the matrix decomposition algorithm to form a weighted neural matrix decomposition health management recommendation algorithm. Second, the improved method and deep neural network are fused to improve the performance of the nonlinear model part of the algorithm by using the structural properties of the neural network. Finally, this paper's method is compared with the mainstream six recommendation algorithms on four publicly available real datasets. The experimental results show that the root mean square error (RMSE) of the WENMF algorithm is smaller than that of the comparison algorithm on all four datasets, and the convergence speed is faster. The hit rate (HR) and normalized discounted cumulative gain (NDCG) of the WENMF algorithm are higher than those of the comparison algorithm on all four datasets, and the maximum difference is 0.04. Therefore, the recommendation accuracy and ranking quality of the WENMF algorithm in the recommendation system are verified, and the cold start and data sparsity problems of the recommendation system are effectively alleviated. The profound impacts of severe air pollution on human health, ecological balance, and economic stability are undeniable. Precise air quality forecasting stands as a crucial necessity, enabling governmental bodies and vulnerable communities to proactively take essential measures to reduce exposure to detrimental pollutants. Previous research has primarily focused on predicting air quality using only time-series data. However, the importance of remote-sensing image data has received limited attention. This paper proposes a new multi-modal deep-learning model, Res-GCN, which integrates high spatial resolution remote-sensing images and time-series air quality data from multiple stations to forecast future air quality. Res-GCN employs two deep-learning networks, one utilizing the residual network to extract hidden visual information from remote-sensing images, and another using a dynamic spatio-temporal graph convolution network to capture spatio-temporal information from time-series data. By extracting features from two different modalities, improved predictive performance can be achieved. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model, experiments were conducted on two real-world datasets. The results show that the Res-GCN model effectively extracts multi-modal features, significantly enhancing the accuracy of multi-step predictions. Compared to the best-performing baseline model, the multi-step prediction's mean absolute error, root mean square error, and mean absolute percentage error increased by approximately 6%, 7%, and 7%, respectively. Global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) applied to intelligent transport systems in urban areas suffer from multipath and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) effects due to the signal reflections from high-rise buildings, which seriously degrade the accuracy and reliability of vehicles in real-time applications. Accordingly, the integration between GNSS and inertial navigation systems (INSs) could be utilized to improve positioning performance. However, the fixed GNSS solution uncertainty of the conventional integration method cannot determine the fluctuating GNSS reliability in fast-changing urban environments. This weakness becomes solvable using a deep learning model for sensing the ambient environment intelligently, and it can be further mitigated using factor graph optimization (FGO), which is capable of generating robust solutions based on historical data. This paper mainly develops the adaptive GNSS/INS loosely coupled system on FGO, along with the fixed-gain Kalman filter (KF) and adaptive KF (AKF) being taken as comparisons. The adaptation is aided by a convolutional neural network (CNN), and the feasibility is verified using data from different grades of receivers. Compared with the integration using fixed-gain KF, the proposed adaptive FGO (AFGO) maintains the 100% positioning availability and reduces the overall 2D positioning error by up to 70% in the aspects of both root mean square error (RMSE) and standard deviation (STD). The most efficient technique that is used for aircraft engine tuning is through mounting the engine on the engine test bench (ETB) to analyze, tune and monitor its variables through the ETB run. It is practically very difficult to unmount the engine from the aircraft and mount it on the ETB for analyzing and estimating a single variable such as fuel consumption or oil temperature as the unmounting process requires huge manpower and machinery. This problem can be resolved if the fuel consumption of an air vehicle is estimated without unmounting the engine from the aircraft through applying data analytics and machine learning models. Therefore, in this paper, the fuel consumption of an aircraft is analyzed and estimated through advanced data science techniques. The dataset went through data analyzing and preprocessing techniques before applying multiple machine learning models such as multiple linear regression (MLR), support vector regression, decision tree regression and deep learning algorithm RNN/LSTM. The performance of algorithms has been evaluated using model evaluation methods such as mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMSE) and coefficient of determination. The existing monocular depth estimation methods based on deep learning have difficulty in estimating the depth near the edges of the objects in an image when the depth distance between these objects changes abruptly and decline in accuracy when an image has more noises. Furthermore, these methods consume more hardware resources because they have huge network parameters. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a depth estimation method based on weighted fusion and point‐wise convolution. The authors design a maximum‐average adaptive pooling weighted fusion module (MAWF) that fuses global features and local features and a continuous point‐wise convolution module for processing the fused features derived from the (MAWF) module. The two modules work closely together for three times to perform weighted fusion and point‐wise convolution of features of multi‐scale from the encoder output, which can better decode the depth information of a scene. Experimental results show that our method achieves state‐of‐the‐art performance on the KITTI dataset with δ1 up to 0.996 and the root mean square error metric down to 8% and has demonstrated the strong generalisation and robustness. Machine learning (ML) has been applied in civil engineering to predict the compressive strength of concrete with high accuracy. In this paper, five boosting ensemble algorithms, i.e., XGBoost, AdaBoost, GBDT, LightGBM, and CatBoost, were used to predict the compressive strength of high-performance concrete (HPC). The models were evaluated using performance indicators such as R2, root mean square error (RMSE), and mean absolute error (MAE). The results showed that the CatBoost model had the highest accuracy with a R2 (0.970) and a RMSE (2.916). The prediction accuracy of the model was increased through hyperparameter optimization, which got a higher with a R2 (0.975) and a RMSE (2.863). Meanwhile, the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) method was used to explain the output results of the optimal model (CatBoost), which generated explainable insights that further revealed the complex relationship between the prediction model parameters. The results showed that AGE, W/B, and W/C had the most impact on high-performance concrete compressive strength (HPCCS) prediction, which was similar to the results of sensitivity analysis. This study provided a theoretical basis and technical guidance for developing the mix design of a new high-performance concrete (HPC) system. The solar water heating business by itself accounts for approximately 80% of the total market for solar thermal energy. The construction sector all around the world has discovered several applications for solar water heating over the course of the past few decades. In this paper, we develop a deep learning approach for a solar water heating system built with Phase-change materials. The results demonstrate that the proposed Phase-change materials and deep neural network model outperforms other methods in terms of accuracy and cost reduction. The use of Phase-change materials in solar water heating systems offers advantages such as high energy storage density and isothermal phase transitions. This research builds upon previous studies that have investigated Phase-change materials applications in solar heating systems. The proposed method utilizes deep neural network and back propagation algorithms to develop an accurate model for predicting solar performance. Accurate wind speed prediction is significantly important for the full utilization of wind energy resources and the improvement in the economic benefits of wind farms. Because the ensemble forecast takes into account the uncertainty of information about the atmospheric motion, domestic and foreign weather service forecast centers often choose to use the ensemble numerical forecast to achieve the fine forecast of wind speed. However, due to the unavoidable systematic errors of the ensemble numerical forecast model, it is necessary to correct the deviation in the ensemble numerical forecast wind speed. Considering the typical spatio-temporal characteristics of the grid prediction data of the wind field, based on Convolutional Long–Short Term Memory (ConvLSTM) units and attention mechanism, this paper takes the complex and representative North China region as the research area, aiming to reveal the shortcomings of existing deep learning integrated prediction correction models in extracting temporal features of grid prediction data. We propose a new ensemble prediction wind field correction model integrating multi-factor and spatio-temporal characteristics. This model uses reanalyzed land data provided by the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts as the real data to correct the deviation in the near-surface 10 m wind field data predicted by the regional ensemble numerical prediction model of the China Meteorological Administration. We used the reanalyzed land data provided by the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) as the live data to correct the deviation in the near-surface 10 m wind field data predicted by the regional ensemble numerical forecast model of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). Compared with the UNET model method, the experimental results show that when processing the 10 m zonal wind data, 10 m meridional wind data, and 10 m average wind speed data of CMA–REPS 24 h forecasts, the correction results of our model can reduce the RMSE score index by 9.15%, 4.83%, and 7.79%. At the same time, when processing the 48 h and 72 h near-surface 10 m wind field data of the CMA–REPS forecast, our model can improve the prediction accuracy of CMA–REPS near-surface wind forecast data. Background: In recent years, road traffic safety has become a prominent issue due to the worldwide proliferation of vehicles on roads. The challenge of driver fatigue detection involves balancing the efficiency and accuracy of the detection process. While various detection methods are available, electroencephalography (EEG) is considered the gold standard due to its high precision in terms of detecting fatigue. However, deep learning models for EEG-based fatigue detection are limited by their large numbers of parameters and low computational efficiency levels, making it difficult to implement them on mobile devices. Methods: To overcome this challenge, an attention-based Ghost-LSTM neural network (AGL-Net) is proposed for EEG-based fatigue detection in this paper. AGL-Net utilizes an attention mechanism to focus on relevant features and incorporates Ghost bottlenecks to efficiently extract spatial EEG fatigue information. Temporal EEG fatigue features are extracted using a long short-term memory (LSTM) network. We establish two types of models: regression and classification models. In the regression model, we use linear regression to obtain regression values. In the classification model, we classify features based on the predicted values obtained from regression. Results: AGL-Net exhibits improved computational efficiency and a more lightweight design than existing deep learning models, as evidenced by its floating-point operations per second (FLOPs) and Params values of 2.67 M and 103,530, respectively. Furthermore, AGL-Net achieves an average accuracy of approximately 87.3% and an average root mean square error (RMSE) of approximately 0.0864 with the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) Emotion EEG Dataset (SEED)-VIG fatigued driving dataset, indicating its advanced performance capabilities. Conclusions: The experiments conducted with the SEED-VIG dataset demonstrate the feasibility and advanced performance of the proposed fatigue detection method. The effectiveness of each AGL-Net module is verified through thorough ablation experiments. Additionally, the implementation of the Ghost bottleneck module greatly enhances the computational efficiency of the model. In the target-controlled infusion (TCI) of propofol and remifentanil intravenous anesthesia, accurate prediction of the depth of anesthesia (DOA) is very challenging. Patients with different physiological characteristics have inconsistent pharmacodynamic responses during different stages of anesthesia. For example, in TCI, older adults transition smoothly from the induction period to the maintenance period, while younger adults are more prone to anesthetic awareness, resulting in different DOA data distributions among patients. To address these problems, a deep learning framework that incorporates domain adaptation and knowledge distillation and uses propofol and remifentanil doses at historical moments to continuously predict the bispectral index (BIS) is proposed in this paper. Specifically, a modified adaptive recurrent neural network (AdaRNN) is adopted to address data distribution differences among patients. Moreover, a knowledge distillation pipeline is developed to train the prediction network by enabling it to learn intermediate feature representations of the teacher network. The experimental results show that our method exhibits better performance than existing approaches during all anesthetic phases in the TCI of propofol and remifentanil intravenous anesthesia. In particular, our method outperforms some state-of-the-art methods in terms of root mean square error and mean absolute error by 1 and 0.8, respectively, in the internal dataset as well as in the publicly available dataset. An attention-aware patch-based deep-learning model for a blind 360-degree image quality assessment (360-IQA) is introduced in this paper. It employs spatial attention mechanisms to focus on spatially significant features, in addition to short skip connections to align them. A long skip connection is adopted to allow features from the earliest layers to be used at the final level. Patches are properly sampled on the sphere to correspond to the viewports displayed to the user using head-mounted displays. The sampling incorporates the relevance of patches by considering (i) the exploration behavior and (ii) a latitude-based selection. An adaptive strategy is applied to improve the pooling of local patch qualities to global image quality. This includes an outlier score rejection step relying on the standard deviation of the obtained scores to consider the agreement, as well as a saliency to weigh them based on their visual significance. Experiments on available 360-IQA databases show that our model outperforms the state of the art in terms of accuracy and generalization ability. This is valid for general deep-learning-based models, multichannel models, and natural scene statistic-based models. Furthermore, when compared to multichannel models, the computational complexity is significantly reduced. The precise use of specific types of herbicides according to the weed species and density in fields can effectively reduce chemical contamination. A weed species and density evaluation method based on an image semantic segmentation neural network was proposed in this paper. A combination of pre-training and fine-tuning training methods was used to train the network. The pre-training data were images that only contain one species of weeds in one image. The weeds were automatically labeled by an image segmentation method based on the Excess Green (ExG) and the minimum error threshold. The fine-tuning dataset was real images containing multiple weeds and crops and manually labeled. Due to the limitation of computational resources, larger images were difficult to segment at one time. Therefore, this paper proposed a method of cutting images into sub-images. The relationship between sub-image size and segment accuracy was studied. The results showed that the training method reduced the workload of labeling training data while effectively avoiding overfitting. The accuracy of image segmentation decreases as the sub-image size decreases. Considering the limitation of computational resources, a subgraph of 256 × 256 size was selected. The semantic segmentation network achieved 97% overall accuracy. The coefficient of determination ( R 2 ) of weed density calculated by the algorithm and manually assessed was 0.90, and the root means square error (σ ) was 0.05. The method could effectively assess the density of each species of weeds in complex environments. It could provide a reference for accurate spraying herbicides based on weed density and species. Wind turbine energy generators operate in a variety of environments and often under harsh operational conditions, which can result in the mechanical failure of wind turbines. In order to ensure the efficient operation of wind turbines, the detection of any abnormality in the mechanics is particularly important. In this paper, a method for detecting abnormalities in the bearings of wind turbine energy generators, based on the cascade deep learning model, is proposed. First, data on the mechanics of wind turbine generators were collected, and the correlation between the data was studied in order to select the parameters related to the bearing temperature. Then, the logical relationship between the observation parameters and the target parameters was established based on a one-dimensional convolutional neural network (CNN) and a long short-term memory (LSTM) network, and the difference between the predicted temperature and the actual temperature was assessed using the root mean square error evaluation model. Finally, a numerical example was used to verify the operational data from a wind farm unit in northwest China. The results show that the CNN-LSTM model proposed in this paper can detect abnormalities earlier in the state of the main bearing than the LSTM model, and the CNN-LSTM model can detect abnormalities in the main bearing that the LSTM network cannot find. Recently, the interactions between internal solitary waves (ISWs) and the seabed have directed increasing attention to ocean engineering and offshore energy. In particular, ISWs induce bottom currents and pressure fluctuations in deep water. In this paper, we propose a method for predicting the shear stress induced by shoaling ISWs based on machine learning, and the developed approach can be used to quickly determine the safety and stability of ocean engineering. First, we provided a basic dataset for model training. Four machine learning models were selected to predict the shear stress induced by shoaling ISWs under different trim conditions. The results indicated that the performance of the convolutional neural network-long short-term memory (CNN-LSTM) forest prediction model was significantly better than the three other tested models, including long short-term memory (LSTM), support vector regression (SVR) and deep neural network (DNN) models. Therefore, the CNN-LSTM forest prediction model was the optimal model for predicting the shear stress induced by shoaling ISWs. Specifically, each metric of the CNN-LSTM model was smaller than that of the other three, and the root mean squared error to the standard deviation ratio was closest to 0.7. In addition, the CNN-LSTM model significantly outperformed the SVR and DNN models in terms of the length of prediction time. The predicted values by the CNN-LSTM model were consistent with the experimental values. The method for predicting shear stress based on machine learning in this paper can be used to predict the shear stress induced by shoaling ISWs, guide future field experiment designs, reduce damage to the seabed caused by ISWs, and promote the development of ocean engineering in deep water. Background: Dynamic positron emission tomography (PET) images are useful in clinical practice because they can be used to calculate the metabolic parameters (Ki) of tissues using graphical methods (such as Patlak plots). Ki is more stable than the standard uptake value and has a good reference value for clinical diagnosis. However, the long scanning time required for obtaining dynamic PET images, usually an hour, makes this method less useful in some ways. There is a tradeoff between the scan durations and the signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) of Ki images. The purpose of our study is to obtain approximately the same image as that produced by scanning for one hour in just half an hour, improving the SNRs of images obtained by scanning for 30 min and reducing the necessary 1-h scanning time for acquiring dynamic PET images. Methods: In this paper, we use U-Net as a feature extractor to obtain feature vectors with a priori knowledge about the image structure of interest and then utilize a parameter generator to obtain five parameters for a two-tissue, three-compartment model and generate a time activity curve (TAC), which will become close to the original 1-h TAC through training. The above-generated dynamic PET image finally obtains the Ki parameter image. Results: A quantitative analysis showed that the network-generated Ki parameter maps improved the structural similarity index measure and peak SNR by averages of 2.27% and 7.04%, respectively, and decreased the root mean square error (RMSE) by 16.3% compared to those generated with a scan time of 30 min. Conclusions: The proposed method is feasible, and satisfactory PET quantification accuracy can be achieved using the proposed deep learning method. Since the beginning of the rapidly spreading COVID-19 pandemic, several mutations have occurred in the genetic sequence of the virus, resulting in emerging different variants of concern. These variants vary in transmissibility, severity of infections, and mortality rate. Designing models that are capable of predicting the future behavior of these variants in the societies can help decision makers and the healthcare system to design efficient health policies, and to be prepared with the sufficient medical devices and an adequate number of personnel to fight against this virus and the similar ones. Among variants of COVID-19, Alpha and Delta variants differ noticeably in the virus structures. In this paper, we study these variants in the geographical regions with different size, population densities, and social life styles. These regions include the country of Iran, the continent of Asia, and the whole world. We propose four deep learning models based on Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), and examine their predictive power in forecasting the number of infections and deaths for the next three, next five, and next seven days in each variant. These models include Encoder Decoder LSTM (ED-LSTM), Bidirectional LSTM (Bi-LSTM), Convolutional LSTM (Conv-LSTM), and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU). Performance of these models in predictions are evaluated using the root mean square error, mean absolute error, and mean absolute percentage error. Then, the Friedman test is applied to find the leading model for predictions in all conditions. The results show that ED-LSTM is generally the leading model for predicting the number of infections and deaths for both variants of Alpha and Delta, with the ability to forecast long time intervals ahead. This paper investigates intelligent reconfigurable surface‐assisted non‐orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks for short packet communications where the source with multiple antennas utilizes beamforming technology to serve two end users including a near user and a far user. The analysis system, closed‐form expressions of the average block error rates (BLERs), latency and reliability at all users are derived under assuming perfect channel state information over quasi‐static Rayleigh fading channels. For evaluating the improvement of the network system, a deep neural network (DNN) framework is designed to predict the performance parameters in two cases: (i) BLERs prediction of the users, (ii) transmit power allocation under the constraints of BLERs at each user which satisfy the extremely high reliability requirements of uRLLCs. The extensive results demonstrate that first, the DNN‐based estimation results are more accurate than Monte‐Carlo simulation results with low execution time. Second, the allocated power for each user can be accurately predicted at the high layers. Finally, two methods of evaluating the effectiveness of the DNN model, i.e. root mean square error and mean absolute percentage error, reach low error which verify the power of the designed DNN model for future analysis. Wind power energy is green, clean, and renewable, which is random and volatile. The integration of unstable wind energy severely threatens the security and constant operation of the power system. The need to enhance the reliability of wind power grid integration, mitigate the impact of wind power uncertainty, and develop a robust prediction model has become a pressing issue. However, only some people have considered the correlations among the power of multiple adjacent wind turbine arrays. In this paper, we propose GCNInformer to construct these relationships. Furthermore, we analyze the relationships among multiple features of individual wind turbines. GCNInformer is composed of two main components. The first component employs a graph convolutional network (GCN) to establish relationships among multiple wind turbine arrays, enhancing the correlation of the data. The second part employs Informer to extract the time information from the data and predict long‐term sequences. For training and testing, GCNInformer utilizes two data sets: Data_CQ and Data_DL. The evaluation of the model's performance is conducted using various metrics such as mean absolute percentage error, mean absolute error, root mean square error, and mean square error. Nanotechnology and photonics, two of the most promising fields of the 21st century, come together in nanophotonics. Its primary advantage is that it may be used to build a number of innovative features based on local electromagnetic interaction. Computed tomography (CT) imaging considerably aids in the identification, prognosis, and assessment of therapy response in kidney cancer. This paper presents a unique approach for nuclear image-based kidney tumour identification using deep learning-based segmentation and classification. In addition to CT-features-based gene mutation identification, segmentation-free volume estimate, autonomous kidney localization, and diagnosis of cancer, we developed deep learning approaches. The plan is to boost the contrast of the picture using a convolutional network-based active contour normalisation and then categorise the segmented image with a stacked Monte Carlo Markov encoder neural network. In the experimental study, we look at how different sets of nuclear images perform in terms of training accuracy, Jaccard index, root mean square error (RMSE), NSE, average precision, and F-measure. Training accuracy of 95% was achieved using the suggested method, along with a Jaccard index of 62%, RMSE of 58%, NSE of 61%, average precision of 65%, and F-measure of 71%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
