This work deals with the characteristics of highly segmented double-sided silicon detectors. These are fundamental parts in many new state-of-the-art particle detection systems, and therefore they must perform optimally. We propose a test bench that can handle 256 electronic channels with off-the-shelf equipment, as well as a detector quality control protocol to ensure that the detectors meet the requirements. Detectors with a large number of strips bring new technological challenges and issues that need to be carefully monitored and understood. One of the standard 500 μ m thick detectors of the GRIT array was investigated, undergoing studies that revealed its IV curve, charge collection efficiency, and energy resolution. From the data obtained, we calculated, among other things, the depletion voltage (110 V), the resistivity of the bulk material (9 kΩ·cm), and the electronic noise contribution (8 keV). 19 pags., 16 figs., 8 tabs., We present the design, prototype developments and test results of the new time-of-flight detector (ToFD) which is part of the R3B experimental setup at GSI and FAIR, Darmstadt, Germany. The ToFD detector is able to detect heavy-ion residues of all charges at relativistic energies with a relative energy precision σΔE/ ΔE of up to 1% and a time precision of up to 14 ps (sigma). Dispersion is a key element in plant life, allowing them to colonize and establish in new environments. The morphological traits involved in structures specialized in species dispersal play an important role in this process. In this work, the relationship between samara size and the distance and dispersion speed of Gallesia integrifolia in an enclosed environment and one with the presence of wind, at two experimental heights, was analyzed and compared. Results showed high variation and correlation among the morphological samara traits. Positive and significant relationships between the samaras dimensions were evident with the distance and speed of flight at one and two meters high in the open environment. On the other hand, a defined pattern for the enclosed environment was not found, resulting in negative relationships in the size of samaras with the distance and speed of flight at the height of one meter. Knowing the effect of morphological traits on dispersal contributes to a better understanding of seed ecology based on the morphological traits of samaras, understanding current species dispersal and distribution processes, and knowing the ability of forest plants to cope with potential future climate change scenarios in dry forests., La dispersión es un elemento ecológico clave que posibilita a las plantas colonizar nuevos ambientes, existiendo varios componentes morfológicos en las semillas que tienen incidencia en los patrones de dispersión. En el presente estudio se analizó la relación del tamaño de la sámara en el comportamiento de dispersión de Gallesia integrifolia, distribuida en un bosque seco. Se midió diferentes rasgos morfológicos en las sámaras y se las liberó desde dos alturas experimentales ex situ dentro de un ambiente con presencia de viento y en otro sin viento, procediendo a medir la velocidad de descenso y distancia de dispersión. Los resultados mostraron alta variación morfológica de la sámara, encontrando correlaciones significativas entre el tamaño de la sámara con la distancia y velocidad de dispersión. En condiciones de viento, las sámaras más grandes se dispersaron a mayor distancia en las dos alturas de liberación. En cambio, en el ambiente sin viento se encontró una correlación negativa cuando fueron expuesta a menor altura. La velocidad de caída de las sámaras fue más lenta cuando se liberó la sámara a una mayor altura en los dos tipos de ambiente. Conocer el efecto de la morfología en la dispersión, contribuye a comprender mejor la ecología de semillas basado en rasgos morfológicos y a entender los procesos actuales de dispersión y distribución de las especies vegetales.

Chemical compositions of plants are affected by the initial nutrient contents in the soil and climatic conditions, thus, we analyzed for the first time the effects of soil and leaf nutrients on the compositions of the essential oils (EOs) of Siparuna muricata in four different localities in Ecuador. EOs were obtained by hydrodistillation and analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and a gas chromatography/flame ionization detector (GC/FID). Enantiomeric distribution by GC/MS was determined, modifying the enantiomeric separation of β-pinene, limonene, δ-elemene, β-bourbonene, cis-cadina-1 (6), 4-diene and atractylone. A total of 44 compounds were identified. The most representative for L1 were guaiol, atractylone and 4-diene, for L2, cis-cadina-1(6),4-diene and myrcene, for L3, atractylone, myrcene and germacrene B, and finally, L4 germacrene B, myrcene and cis-cadina-1(6),4-diene. Correlations between soil- leaf chemical elements such as Al, Ca, Fe, Mg, Mn, N and Si in the different localities were significant with chemical composition of the essential oil of Siparuna muricata, however, correlations between soil and leaf K, P, and Na were not significant. Cluster and NMDS analysis showed high dissimilarity values of secondary metabolites between four localities related with changes in soil- leaf nutrients. Thus, the SIMPER routine revealed that not all secondary metabolites contribute equally to establishing the differences in the four localities, and the largest contributions are due to differences in guaiol, cis-cadina-1(6),4-diene, atractylone and germacrene. Our investigation showed for the first time the influences of altitude and soil- leaf chemical elements in the chemical composition of the EOs of S. muricata.

Resumen En los bosques montanos tropicales los briófitos son importantes en términos de diversidad y funcionamiento; allí, los briófitos que crecen sobre hojas son particularmente abundantes. El objetivo fue evaluar la riqueza y composición de comunidades epífilas en tres zonas del dosel de un árbol hospedador en el Parque Internacional La Amistad, Panamá. En cada árbol fueron colectadas seis hojas al azar, dos por zona de la copa (baja, media y alta). Se registró en total 48 especies, 89 % pertenecen a Marchantiophyta y 11 % a Bryophyta. La familia Lejeuneaceae representó el 70 % de las especies. La riqueza de especies disminuye desde la zona baja del dosel hacia la parte alta; sin embargo, las comunidades son similares entre zonas. Condiciones microclimáticas específicas del sotobosque podrían favorecer una mayor riqueza en la zona baja del dosel. Realizar investigaciones teniendo en cuenta factores ambientales y estructurales del bosque permitirá una mejor comprensión de estos cambios en diversidad. Abstract In tropical montane forests, bryophytes are important in terms of diversity and functioning, in which epiphyllous species grow on tree leaves of trees and shrubs, and they are particularly abundant. The objective of this article was to evaluate epiphyllous bryophyte species richness and community composition in three canopy zones (low, medium, high) of a host tree in “La Amistad” International Park, Panama. From each sampled tree, six random leaves were randomly collected, two per canopy zone. A total of 48 species were recorded, of which 89% belong to Marchantiophyta and 11% to Bryophyta. The Lejeuneaceae family accounted for 70% of the species. Species richness decreased from the lowest to the highest canopy zone, however, species communities were similar between zones. Microclimatic conditions characteristic of the forest understory might have favoured greater species richness in the lower canopy zone. Further research is needed, for taking into account environmental factors and forest structure may lead to a better understanding of the observed changes in diversity.

The most remote isotope from the proton dripline (by 4 atomic mass units) has been observed: 31K. It is unbound with respect to three-proton (3 p ) emission, and its decays have been detected in flight by measuring the trajectories of all decay products using microstrip detectors. The 3 p emission processes have been studied by the means of angular correlations of 28S +3 p and the respective decay vertices. The energies of the previously unknown ground and excited states of 31K have been determined. This provides its 3 p separation energy value S3 p of -4.6 (2 ) MeV . This paper points out the possibilities offered by the appropriation of the xbrl language at a State level by describing different examples of global appropriation. The purpose is to give a detailed account of different aspects related to the presentation of accounting and financial information at a national and international level and its implications in commercial aspects and in the reporting of information to control entities with jurisdiction in this field, in order to exercise the supervision of the reported information. A theoretical-descriptive methodology was implemented, in which the background of different authors was reviewed in order to identify and describe the significant events derived from the impact of using the language reviewed. The results obtained suggest the need for sufficient knowledge about the use of language, the national implementation of international standards, such as ifrs, having the support of the icts for proper implementation according to the Colombian organizational taxonomy, in addition to the commitment they must acquire in terms of their implementation and launching as far as information processing is concerned, and which represent one of the most valuable inputs in each of the companies observed. Overall, the objective is to standardize the production of useful information focused on a wider spectrum of users, customers, investors or stakeholders in general. El presente artículo señala las posibilidades que ofrece la apropiación del lenguaje XBRL a nivel estatal, mediante la descripción de diversos ejemplos de apropiación a nivel mundial. El objetivo es puntualizar diferentes aspectos relacionados con la presentación de información contable y financiera a nivel nacional e internacional y sus implicaciones en aspectos comerciales y en el reporte de información a los entes de control que tienen jurisdicción en este campo, para el ejercicio de la veeduría sobre la información reportada. Se siguió una metodología de tipo teórico-descriptivo, en la cual se revisaron antecedentes de diferentes autores con el ánimo de identificar y describir los hechos significativos derivados del impacto de uso del lenguaje reseñado. Los resultados obtenidos sugieren la necesidad de disponer del suficiente conocimiento sobre el uso del lenguaje, aplicación de normas internacionales en el ámbito nacional como las niif, disponer del apoyo de las tic para su correcto despliegue conforme a la taxonomía organizacional Colombiana, además del compromiso que deben adquirir en términos de su implementación y puesta en marcha en lo que a tratamiento de información se refiere, y que suponen uno de los insumos más valiosos al interior de cada una de las empresas observadas. En general, el objetivo perseguido por estas, es estandarizar la producción de la información útil enfocada a un espectro más amplio de usuarios, clientes, inversionistas o en general stakeholders. O presente artigo assinala as possibilidades que oferece a apropriação da linguagem xbrl a nível estatal, mediante a descrição de diversos exemplos de apropriação a nível mundial. O objetivo é especificar diferentes aspectos relacionados com a apresentação de informação contável e financeira a nível nacional e internacional e seus envolvimentos em aspectos comerciais e no reporte de informação aos entes de controle que têm jurisdição neste campo, para o exercício da veeduría sobre a informação reportada. Seguiu-se uma metodologia de tipo teórico-descritivo, na qual se revisaram antecedentes de diferentes autores com o ânimo de identificar e descrever os fatos significativos derivados do impacto de uso da linguagem reseñado. Os resultados obtidos sugerem a necessidade de dispor do suficiente conhecimento sobre o uso da linguagem, aplicação de normas internacionais no âmbito nacional como as niif, dispor do apoio das tic para sua correta exibição conforme à taxonomia organizacional Colombiana, além do compromisso que devem adquirir em termos de sua implementação e começada no que a tratamento de informação se refere, e que supõem um dos insumos mais valiosos ao interior da cada uma das empresas observadas. De modo geral, o objetivo perseguido por estas, é padronizar a produção da informação útil focada a um espetro mais amplo de usuários, clientes, inversionistas ou de modo geral stakeholders.
