The earliest intense red hue compound of SiO2@LaOF:Eu3+ core-shell nanostructures (NS) was created utilizing a basic solvothermal technique and heat processing. The produced core-shell particles are spherical, non-agglomerated, and have restricted size dispersion. Photoluminescence (PL) radiation spectra exhibit sharp maximums in 593, 611, and 650 nm, corresponding with 5D0 -- 7FJ (J=0, 1, 2) Eu3+ conversions. The Judd-Ofelt (J-O) hypothesis helps determine the spectrum strength indices and Eu-O ligand activities. The CIE coordinates are x=0.63, y=0.36, nearly equal the NTSC coordinates which are x=0.67, y=0.33. Because of the CCT level of 3475 K, which is lower than 5000 K, this phosphor is appropriate for warm light-emitting diodes. To visualize latent fingermarks both porous and non-porous substrates, the fluorescent labeling marker adapted core-cover SiO2 (coat III)@LaOF:Eu3+ (5 mol%) was utilized. With no background influence, the fingermarks obtained are exceedingly sensible and exclusive, permitting for fingerprint ridge features ranging from level-I to level-III. The findings indicate the significant enhancement in the illumination of corecover NS as a responsive operational nanoparticle for increased forensics and firm status illuminating implementations.

Aluminum alloy corrosion resistance could be improved by micro-nanostructures on superhydrophobic surfaces, but inadequate mechanical stability remains a bottleneck concern in the sector. Herein, femtosecond laser processing and spray modification techniques are employed to fabricate “armor-style” micro-nanostructures on aluminum alloy surfaces. The construction of durable superhydrophobic surfaces was controllably constructed using this strategy. Applying a spray of hydrophobic nano silica onto the surface of aluminum alloys is an effective method for creating a low surface energy coating, while the femtosecond laser-processed “armor-style” micro-nano structure offers additional adhesion sites for the hydrophobic nano-silica. The findings indicated that the treated surface’s contact angle (CA) reached 152.5° while the slide angle (SA) was only 2.3°, exhibiting favorable superhydrophobic performance. Being worn 100 times with 400# sandpaper, the superhydrophobic surface retained a contact angle above 150°. Electrochemical tests demonstrated significant reductions in the self-corrosion current of superhydrophobic surfaces. Meanwhile, the impedance increased significantly, showing good thermal, mechanical, and chemical stability, enabling better sustainable use of aluminum alloys. These results will serve as a theoretical foundation for the surface protection of aluminum alloys.

This paper proposes a shared-aperture self-diplexing antenna using the composite parallel-plate waveguide (PPW). The long-straight slots (LSS) etched on the top surface of the PPW are utilized as the common radiation aperture for two operating bands. At the high frequency band, the proposed antenna, excited by the alternative-phase TE10-mode wave, operates as a leaky-wave antenna (LWA). Meanwhile, it serves as a continuous transverse stub (CTS) array antenna when excited by the TEM wave at the low frequency band. Two kinds of feeding networks are adopted to generate the alternative-phase TE10-mode wave and TEM wave, respectively. To verify the proposed method, a millimeter-wave prototype is designed, fabricated and measured. The measured results show that -10 dB fractional bandwidths are 3.42% (76.25-78.9 GHz) and 14.5% (83.2-96.2 GHz), respectively, and the port isolation is higher than 40 dB. Additionally, the peak gains are 27.1 dBi at 78.5 GHz and 25.3 dBi at 90 GHz, respectively. The proposed antenna can be used to develop compact frequency-division system without using duplexers and multi-band wireless systems.

A gain-enhanced antenna consisting of a bandpass frequency selective surface (FSS) and a patch antenna is initially proposed in this communication. By utilizing the reflection characteristic of the FSS, a quasi-Fabry–Perot (F-P) cavity is formed between the FSS and antenna’s ground, which considerably improves the gain of the antenna. Meanwhile, the bandpass FSS has a little phase compensation for oblique transmitting waves, which also slightly enhances the gain. Then a low-radar cross section (RCS) and gain-enhanced antenna is proposed by using absorptive/transmissive frequency selective structure (ATFSS). It is implemented by mounting the ATFSS above a patch antenna. The ATFSS is constructed by stacking a lossy layer above a bandpass FSS. Both antennas are fabricated, assembled, and measured. They achieve a gain-enhancement of 5.27 and 3.84 dB, respectively. Besides, the low-RCS antenna achieves 10 dB monostatic RCS reduction from 5 to 5.33 GHz and from 9 to 13.4 GHz under the TE-polarization, and from 8.4 to 13.5 GHz under the TM-polarization, respectively. Simulated results show it also achieves a good improvement in bistatic RCS reduction as well.

A planar dual-band shared-aperture array antenna for the ${K}$ -/ Ka -band low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite communication is presented in this article. Substrate integrated coaxial line (SICL)-fed bow-tie transverse slots and substrate integrated waveguide (SIW)-fed slot pairs are employed to provide ${K}$ -band horizontal polarization and Ka -band vertical polarization, respectively. The ${K}$ -band and Ka -band radiating elements share a common metallic-via-array, which can effectively improve the port-to-port isolation. Furthermore, the port-to-port isolations in both bands can be also improved by introducing the high-pass characteristic of SIW and out-of-phase cancellation between two current paths. For the sake of achieving low-profile height and compact size, the ${K}$ -band feeding network is subtly buried between Ka -band shielding cavities. As a proof-of-concept example, a shared-aperture dual-polarized array antenna operating at ${K}$ -/ Ka -band is designed and fabricated for verification by using a multilayer printed circuit board (PCB) technology. The measured results show a good concordance with the simulated one, indicating that the proposed antenna has the advantages of wideband, high isolations, low profile, and easy planar integration, which can be adopted for the millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) LEO satellite communication system.

The mechanism of reduction and dephosphorization of phosphorus-containing magnetite was studied using SiC as reducing agent. The thermodynamic conditions for the reduction of Ca3(PO4)2 and Fe3O4 by SiC were simulated by FactSage7.1 thermodynamics software, respectively, indicating that the reduction of Ca3(PO4)2 by SiC is thermodynamically feasible, but the kinetic conditions of the system are not good when no liquid phase is formed. The Fe2SiO4 liquid phase can be formed by reducing Fe3O4 by SiC at 1200 ℃. When the SiC ratio is 10 wt.%, the liquid phase content is the largest, which can reach more than 60 wt.%. Therefore, in this paper, the Fe2SiO4 liquid phase generated by the reduction of Fe3O4 by SiC is used to improve the kinetic conditions of the reduction of Ca3(PO4)2 by SiC at high temperature, and relevant experiments were carried out. The research results show that the system generates a suitable amount of liquid phase at 1250 °C, and the gasification dephosphorization rate is the highest, which is 39.89 wt.%, at 1200 °C, the reduction reaction was not fully carried out, and the dephosphorization rate by gasification was only 23.79 wt.%. At 1300 °C, Fe3O4 was completely reduced to metallic Fe, which combined with the reduced P4 gas to form Fe2P. Gasification dephosphorization rate is only 28.25 wt.%.

Blast furnace slag and steelmaking slag, as the main accessory products of iron and steel smelting, are piled up in large quantities due to their huge output, high treatment difficulty and low comprehensive utilization rate, which has a serious impact on the land and environment. In order to improve the comprehensive utilization of steelmaking slag, low basicity blast furnace slag was added to the existing steel slag for quenching and tempering. The influence of basicity on the chemical composition and phase precipitation of mixed slag was analyzed. In the research process, the phase composition and morphology of blast furnace slag and steel slag of Baotou Steel were analyzed using FactSage7.1 thermodynamic calculation software, ZEISS high-resolution scanning electron microscope (SEM), modern fast high-resolution Bruker energy dispersive spectrometer and AMICS-Mining automatic mineral analysis software. The results show that the mineral phase composition of blast furnace slag is mainly calcium aluminum yellow feldspar and that of steelmaking slag is mainly dicalcium silicate(C2S), magnesium-iron phase solid solution, rose pyroxene and calcium iron aluminate. When the basicity of the mixed slag is 2.0, it can effectively inhibit the formation of non-cementitious mineral anorthite and promote the formation of better cementitious mineral C2S. At the same time, it is found that the melting temperature of mixed slag decreases with the increase in Al2O3 content.

The pavement crack identification performance of typical models or algorithms of transfer learning (TL), encoder-decoder (ED), and generative adversarial networks (GAN), were evaluated and compared on SDNET2018 and CFD. TL mainly takes advantage of fine-tuning the architecture-optimized backbones pre-trained on large-scale data sets to achieve good classification accuracy. ED-based algorithms can take into account the fact that crack edges, patterns or texture features contribute differently to the identification. Both TL and ED rely on accurate crack ground truth (GT) annotation. GAN is compatible with other neural network architectures, thus can integrate various frameworks (e.g., TL, ED), and algorithms, but the training time is longer. In patch classification, the fine-tuned TL models can be equivalent to or even slightly better than the ED-based algorithms, and the predicting time is faster; In accurate crack location, both ED- and GAN-based algorithms can achieve pixel-level segmentation. It is expected to realize real-time automatic crack identification on a low computational power platform. Furthermore, a weakly supervised learning framework (namely, TL-SSGAN) is proposed, combining TL and semi-supervised GAN. It only needs approximately 10%–20% labeled samples of the total to achieve comparable crack classification performance to or even outperform supervised learning methods, via fine-tuned backbones and utilizing extra unlabeled samples.

BACKGROUND Pyogenic arthritis, pyoderma gangrenosum, and acne (PAPA) syndrome is a rare autosomal dominant genetic disease characterized by severe autoimmune inflammation, caused by mutations in the PSTPIP1 gene. Due to PAPA heterogeneous clinical manifestation, misdiagnosis or delayed diagnoses are difficult to avoid. With the use of whole-exome sequencing, we identified a missense mutation in the PSTPIP1 gene in a Chinese family. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of PAPA reported in China. CASE SUMMARY A 9-year-old boy suffered from recurrent aseptic pyogenic arthritis triggered by minor trauma or few obvious predisposing causes for more than 3 years. Pyogenic arthritis occurred every 3-5 mo, affecting his knees, elbows, and ankle joints. Treatments, such as glucocorticoids, antibiotics, even surgeries could alleviate joints pain and swelling to some extent but could not inhibit the recurrence of arthritis. Similar symptoms were present in his younger brother but not in his parents. According to the whole-exome sequencing, a missense mutation in exon 11 of the PSTPIP1 gene (c.748G>C; p.E250Q) was detected in the boy, his younger brother and his father. Taking into account the similar phenotypic features with PAPA syndrome reported previously, we confirmed a diagnosis of PAPA syndrome for the family. CONCLUSION In this case, a missense mutation (c.748G>C; p.E250Q) in PSTPIP1 gene was identified in a Chinese family with PAPA syndrome. Previous studies emphasize the fact that PAPA syndrome is hard to diagnose just through the clinical manifestations owing to its heterogeneous expression. Genetic testing is an effectual auxiliary diagnostic method, especially in the early stages of pyogenic arthritis. Only if we have a deep understanding and rich experience of this rare disease can we make a prompt diagnosis, develop the best clinical treatment plan, and give good fertility guidance.

To enhance the dual-layer remote phosphorus configuration’s color standard help spread its application in the LED devices, the new green-emitting phosphor of Ca7Si2P2O16:Eu2+ is proposed. The sol-gel method is used to dope the Eu2+ ions with Ca7Si2P2O16. Increasing the ion Eu2+ concentration can lead to high thermal stability, color-tunable ability, stronger green emission band, and higher photoluminescence extraction. The dual-layer structure’s color standards, as well as the luminous flux, are examined with different concentrations of Ca7Si2P2O16:Eu2+ in the phosphor layer. Owing to the improved features, the green phosphor Ca7Si2P2O16:Eu2+ has enhanced the emission intensity in the blue and green wavelengths, resulting in better color mixing and distribution. The luminescence shows the enhancement when increasing the concentration of Ca7Si2P2O16:Eu2+. However, the color rendering feature can present a reduction with more than 10% wt. green phosphor within the double-layer phosphorus remote configuration, due to color balance’s loss.

This article presents a novel class of dual-mode substrate-integrated waveguide (SIW) bandpass filters exploiting perturbed SIW rectangular cavities. By introducing metallized via-holes along the central line of an SIW rectangular cavity, the resonant frequency of TE101 mode can be shifted close to that of TE201 mode, thus creating a dual-mode resonator. This structure implements a doublet, which provides two poles and one or two transmission zeros (TZs). The pass bandwidth, spurious-free bandwidth, and positions of the TZs can be fully controlled by modifying the length of the perturbation, the side ratio of the rectangular cavity, and the offset of the input/output ports, respectively. Eight two-pole SIW filters are designed and investigated to demonstrate the high design flexibility. Moreover, a four-pole SIW filter with the asymmetric response and a five-pole SIW filter with quasi-elliptic response are designed, fabricated, and measured to describe the extension of the proposed approach to higher order filters.

With the popularization of smart mobile devices, the digitalization of medical devices and the structuring of electronic medical records, medical data have shown the characteristics of explosive growth. It has attracted wide attention to improve the understanding of the real value of big data in healthcare, by doing in-depth research and discussion on its development regulation. However, the issue how to protect the privacy security effectively in the process deserves attentions as well. Due to the characteristics of big data in healthcare and the storage environment, privacy protection faces severe challenges. First, the related concepts and characteristics of big data in healthcare are introduced. Then, focusing on the four stages of the life cycle model of big data in healthcare, which includes data collection, storage, share and analysis, this paper respectively introduces the risks and challenges it faces and the corresponding privacy protection technologies, analyzing the merits, drawbacks and their applicable scope. When collecting, anonymous technology and differential privacy can resist attacks based on background knowledge brought by data integration and fusion. During the storage stage, big data in healthcare are mostly stored on the cloud platform. Encryption and audit are often used for the confidentiality and integrity of data. During the data share stage, the access control plays an important part in controling the object to obtain data. During the analysis stage, privacy protection of big data in healthcare is achieved based on the framework of machine learning. Last but not least, regarding to the universal privacy protection challenges throughout the life cycle of big data in healthcare, reasonable suggestions are proposed in the management level.

This paper presents an airborne piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers (PMUTs) operated at low frequency (40–50 kHz) for long-range detection, where the acoustic absorption loss in air is relatively low (0.8–1 dB/m). The PMUTs made with single-crystal Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT) enables a high piezoelectric coefficient ( ${e} _{31, f} \approx ~16$ - 24 C/ $\text{m}^{{2}}$ ), and a low dielectric constant ( $\varepsilon _{\mathrm {r}}~\approx ~308$ ), achieving high PMUT transceiver efficiency. The $2\times 2$ PMUT array achieves a very high sound pressure level (SPL) output of 109.4 dB at 26 cm distance. Different from conventional PZT PMUTs, this study utilized single-crystal PZT with a low permittivity to achieve a good acoustic reception, demonstrating the sensitivity of 2 mV/Pa. This work reports the PMUT design, modeling, fabrication, characterization, enabling a long-range detection of 4.8 meters in a pulse-echo experiment, which was conducted by a pair of $2\times 2$ PMUT arrays with the matched resonances. It has been noted that temozolomide resistance occurs in a number of malignancies, including glioma, although the underlying cause of this is unknown. The goal of the study in vivo investigation to show that increased CD147 expression in glioma cells is a factor in their resistance to the chemotherapy drug temozolomide. Proliferation assays, TUNEL assays, reactive oxygen species assays, protein degradation assays, immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, quantitative polymerase chain reactions, and tumorigenicity assays were all carried out. Using the human protein atlas databases, the expression levels of CD147 in different kinds of malignancies were examined. For immunohistochemistry, a total of 7, 12, 19, 15, and 16 glioma samples were taken from para-carcinoma tissue, representing stage I, stage II, stage III, and stage IV gliomas, respectively. The expression of CD147 proteins is correlated with the tumor's aggressiveness. Cell development was slowed by suppressing the expression of the CD147 protein. The expression of the CD147 protein contributed to the emergence of temozolomide resistance. Expression of the CD147 protein reduced mRNA expression. The growth-inhibitory impact of temozolomide on glioma cells was enhanced by the suppression of CD147 protein. Nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 expression and CD147 protein expression showed a significant reciprocal connection with each other (p 0.0001, r2 = 0.3254). In glioma, resistance to temozolomide is due to overexpression of CD147 protein and induction of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2.

Background: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) presents a common malignant tumor worldwide. Although kinectin 1 (KTN1) is the most frequently identified antigen in HCC tissues, the detailed roles of KTN1 in HCC remain unknown. This study seeks to clarify the expression status and clinical value of KTN1 in HCC and to explore the complicated biological functions of KTN1 and its underlying mechanisms. Methods: In-house reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) was used to detect the expression of KTN1 in HCC tissues. External gene microarrays and RNA-sequencing datasets were downloaded to confirm the expression patterns of KTN1. The prognostic ability of KTN1 in HCC was assessed by a Kaplan-Meier curve and a hazard ratio forest plot. The CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing system was used to knock out KTN1 in Huh7 cells, which was verified by PCR-Sanger sequencing and western blotting. Assays of cell migration, invasion, viability, cell cycle, and apoptosis were conducted to explore the biological functions. RNA sequencing was performed to quantitatively analyze the functional deregulation in KTN1-knockout cells compared to Huh7-wild-type cells. Upregulated genes that co-expressed with KTN1 were identified from HCC tissues and were functionally annotated. Results: KTN1 expression was increased in HCC tissues (standardized mean difference [SMD] = 0.20 [0.04, 0.37]). High KTN1 expression was significantly correlated with poorer prognosis of HCC patients, and KTN1 may be an independent risk factor for HCC (pooled HRs = 1.31 [1.05, 1.64]). After KTN1-knockout, the viability, migration, and invasion ability of HCC cells were inhibited. The proportion of HCC cells in the G0-G1 phases increased after KTN1 knockout, which also elevated the apoptosis rates in HCC cells. Several cascades, including innate immune response, chemical carcinogenesis, and positive regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II, were dramatically changed after KTN1 knockout. KTN1 primarily participated in the cell cycle, DNA replication, and microRNAs in cancer pathways in HCC tissues. Conclusion: Upregulation of KTN1 served as a promising prognosticator in HCC patients. KTN1 promotes the occurrence and deterioration of HCC by mediating cell survival, migration, invasion, cell cycle activation, and apoptotic inhibition. KTN1 may be a therapeutic target in HCC patients.

A dual-polarized broad band-absorptive frequency-selective rasorber (FSR) is proposed in this article. The FSR has a lowpass band with low insertion loss and a broad absorption band. It is a two-layer structure formed by a lossy surface cascaded an absorptive transmission/reflection surface (ATRS), in which the ATRS is constructed by one substrate with a resistive square loop on its top side and a double square loop on its bottom side. The working mechanisms of the proposed ATRS and FSR are completely studied by using their equivalent circuit models. The ATRS retains dual stopbands of the double square loop and suppresses the unwanted transmission pole of the double square loop. Then a broadband absorptive FSR is achieved. A sample of the proposed FSR is fabricated and measured. The measured results show that the proposed FSR has a lowpass band up to 860 MHz ( $\vert S_{21}\vert \ge -1$ dB) and a broad absorption band with bandwidth of 95.3% from 3.84 to 10.83 GHz ( $\vert S_{11}\vert \le -10$ dB and $\vert S_{21}\vert \le -10$ dB).

Usually, remote phosphor structures are beneficial in terms of flux but unfavorable in terms of color quality compared to conformal phosphor or in-cup phosphor packages. To eliminate this disadvantage, many studies have focused on increasing the chromatic quality of the remote phosphor configuration, which requires great efforts in improving two parameters of color: color rendering index (CRI) and color quality scale (CQS). CRI is known as the most useful quantitative method used to measure the ability of a light source to reproduce the colors of illuminated objects faithfully and naturally. Similarly, CQS is also a method of lighting quality determination and analysis, especially used as an alternative to the unsaturated CRI colors. In this paper, we proposed dual-layer remote phosphor structure as a novel method of CRI and CQS enhancement to improve WLEDs’ color quality. Five alike WLEDs but having different color temperatures in the range of 5600 K to 8500 K were applied in this study. The idea behind the study is to place a red phosphor layer SrwFxByOz:Eu2+,Sm2+ on the yellow phosphor layer YAG:Ce3+ and then determining an appropriate concentration of SrwFxByOz:Eu2+,Sm2+ added to achieve the highest color quality. The results point out that SrwFxByOz:Eu2+,Sm2+ brings great benefits to the improvement of CRI and CQS parameters. Specifically, the higher the SrwFxByOz:Eu2+,Sm2+ concentration results in the greater CRI and CQS, owning to the enriched red light components in the WLEDs. However, the flux has a tendency of dropping when SrwFxByOz:Eu2+,Sm2+ concentration rises excessively. This has been proved by using the Mie-scattering theory and the Lambert-Beer law. The results of this article are essential references for manufacturing WLEDs with higher chromatic quality.

This communication presents a magnetic-material-loaded 3-D frequency-selective rasorber (FSR) consisting of independent transmission and absorption channels. The main feature of the proposed design is employing both ferrite material and meander line in the absorption channel to obtain a wide absorption band and low-loss transmission band. Detailed analysis of the absorption channel is given with the help of equivalent circuit models to demonstrate the operating principle. The design guidelines are formulated, and a design example is presented with both the simulated and measured results. The proposed FSR features both thin thickness and wide absorption bands. Moreover, no lumped components are required, which greatly facilitates the fabrication and reduces the cost.

A three-dimensional (3-D) structure is proposed in this article for ultra-wideband absorber design. The ultra-wideband absorber is implemented by properly combining two subabsorbers. The first subabsorber operates in its fundamental mode ( $f_{0}$ ) and the third-order mode ( $3f_{0}$ ). Its lossy layer is designed with an infinite impedance at the second-order mode frequency ( $2f_{0}$ ). The second subabsorber is designed to operate in its fundamental mode frequency, which is corresponding to $2f_{0}$ of the first subabsorber. A double-sided parallel-strip line (DSPSL) is employed to produce the required infinite impedance of the first absorber. A simple equivalent circuit model of the DSPSL is established to explain the operating principle. A conventional parallel LC circuit is also provided for comparison to show the advantages of the DSPSL. Single-polarized and dual-polarized ultra-wideband absorbers are designed by combining these two subabsorbers, and their simulated fractional bandwidths (FBWs) of 151.6% and 150.9% are achieved, respectively. A prototype of the dual-polarized ultra-wideband absorber is fabricated and measured to validate the design concept. Its measured absorption band from 1.50 to 12.31 GHz with an FBW of 156.6% is in a good agreement with the simulated one. The proposed absorber features a wide absorption band and few lumped elements, which makes it more useful in practical applications.

CaO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2 glass-ceramics with diopside as the main crystalline phase were prepared by melting blast furnace slag obtained from Baotou Iron and Steel Company. The effect of heat treatment on the crystallization behavior of glass-ceramics, containing a large proportion of melted blast furnace slag, was studied by means of differential thermal analysis and scanning electron microscopy. The optimum heat-treatment regime was obtained by orthogonal experimental results for glass-ceramics in which blast furnace slag comprised 70% of the composition and 1% Cr2O3 and 4% TiO2 were used as nucleating agents. The nucleation temperature was 750°C for 2.5 h and the crystallization temperature was 930°C for 1 h. Under this regime, the performance of the glass-ceramic was better than that of other groups in the orthogonal experiment.

Three compounds with diuretic potential were identified from the 95% ethanol extract of Pyrrosia petiolosa (Christ) Ching. Among them, one was a new benzanilide named petiolide A (1), and the other two were phenolic derivatives barbatic acid (2) and kaempferol (3). Their structures were elucidated based on extensive spectral analyses and comparison with the literature data. The docking experiments of all compounds into the active site of the With-No-Lysine kinase 1 (WNK1) domain demonstrated that kaempferol (3) was the most effective component with diuretic potential for its comparative diuretic effect to that of an orally bioavailable WNK inhibitor WNK463 (docking score −10.99 vs −11.09).

Background Cerebral vasospasm (CVS) is one of the common severe complications in patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) , as well as an independent risk factor for poor prognosis. As previous studies showed, CVS is closely related to the changes in the expression of vasoconstrictors in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). In the presentstudy, we measured the levels of endothelin⁃1 (ET⁃1), angiotensin Ⅱ(AngⅡ) and thromboxane B2 (TXB2) in SAH patients' CSF to demonstrate the relationship with CVS. Methods A total of 18 patients with SAH were enrolled from September 2018 to January 2019. CSF samples were collected within 3d, 3 5d, >5-7d, >7-dand ≥10 d after SAH. The levels of ET⁃1, Ang Ⅱ andTXB2 were detected by enzyme⁃linked immune sorbent assay (ELISA). Results The levels of Ang Ⅱ (P=0.041)and TXB2 (P=0.050) in CSF at different time points were significantly different. Thelevelof AngⅡ at ≥10d after SAH was significantly lower than that at5-7d (P=0.000) after SAH. The level of TXB2 reached the peak at>5-7 d after SAH (P=0.036,0.008), and then gradually decreased without significance. The level of ET⁃1 in CSF at different time points were not different (P> 0.05, for all). Conclusions The levels of AngⅡ and TXB2 in SAH patients' CSF present dynamic variation with the progression of the disease. This may be involved in the occurrence of CVS. A compact single M-shaped probe fed circularly polarised filtenna (filtering antenna) without extra filtering circuit is presented in this study, in which three pair slots with different lengths are etched on its parasitic patch to produce radiation nulls at both band edges of its operating band. Furthermore, a single M-shaped probe feeding structure is used to improve the selectivity, especially for the lower band edge. By merging the filtering circuit into a radiating element, a good selectivity in the gain response can be realised without influencing the operation band aperture efficiency. Objective: This study aimed at investigating the specific roles of laminarin from seaweed (Laminaria japonica) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and its potential mechanisms related to senescence marker protein-30 (SMP-30). Materials and Methods: Human HCC cell lines, including Bel-7404 and HepG2, were incubated with different concentrations of laminarin (0, 5, 15, 25, 35, and 45 mg/mL). The cell viability and apoptosis rates were detected by WST-8 cell proliferation assay and flow cytometry, respectively. Hepa 1–6 tumor-bearing mice were injected with different concentrations of laminarin (400, 800, and 1200 mg/kg·d), and tumor volume and weight were measured. The expression of SMP-30 was detected in laminarin-treated Bel-7404 and HepG2 HCC cells and LO2 normal liver cells by quantitative real-time PCR and Western blotting. Results: The treatment with laminarin (48 h) significantly decreased the viability and increased the apoptosis rates of Bel-7404 and HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner. The injection of laminarin also significantly decreased the tumor volumes (beginning on the 10th day) and tumor weights (30 d post-injection) of mice in a dose-dependent manner. In addition, the treatment with laminarin (35 mg/mL for 48 h) significantly upregulated SMP-30 in Bel-7404 and HepG2 cells but not in LO2 cells. Conclusion: Laminarin inhibited the proliferation of Bel-7404 and HepG2 cells and inhibited the growth of tumors in Hepa 1–6 tumor-bearing mice by upregulating SMP-30.

A novel wideband high-gain planar antenna array for $E$ -band backhaul applications is presented in this article. The antenna element is composed of a substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity-backed patch and a stepped waveguide horn. The SIW cavity-backed patch is worked as wideband waveform and impedance transformer to excite the stepped waveguide horn on the upper layer. The stepped waveguide horn is employed to enhance the gain of the antenna element by increasing the radiation aperture. Based on the proposed antenna element, a $2 \times 2$ subarray with element spacing larger than a wavelength is designed. A groove, which works as secondary radiation source, is etched between the elements to improve the gain and suppress the high sidelobes of the $2 \times 2$ subarray. By taking the advantage of the groove, the $2 \times 2$ subarray achieves a maximum boresight gain of 17 dBi and an −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 21.8% from 70 to 87 GHz. For further enhancing the gain, a prototype including $16 \times 16$ elements is manufactured and measured. The experimental results confirm that the proposed antenna achieves the −10 dB impedance bandwidth of 22.4% from 71 to 88.5 GHz and a peak gain of 28.8–30.9 dBi. With the merits of a wider operating bandwidth, high gain, low profile, and low cross-polarization, the proposed antenna array is suitable for application in the $E$ -band wireless backhaul systems.

A leaky-wave antenna (LWA) realizes radiation of travelling wave along guiding structures. Periodic modulation is an effective approach to turn non-radiating modes into radiating modes. A high-efficient LWA based on spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs) loaded with parasitic patch array is proposed. Sinusoidal modulation is used for the radiation of SSPPs, while parasitic array mitigates the open stopband (OSB) effect. A prototype is fabricated and measured. The measured and simulated results agree well with each other. Such design shows wide angle coverage of 83° from backward to forward and stable gain distribution of about 12 dB within the whole operating band.

This letter presents a novel unequal bandpass filtering power divider based on hybrid-mode of half mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) and spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SSPPs). Bandpass response is achieved by combining the transmission properties of HMSIW and SSPPs simultaneously. The operating bandwidth can be designed in a wide range by simply optimizing the dimensions of HMSIW and SSPPs. In addition, defected ground structures (DGSs) are etched on the bottom of the substrate to improve out-of-band suppression. The power division ratio of the proposed unequal power divider is finally optimized to 1:3. The measured results agree with the simulated one. Such design provides a stable power division within wide frequency range from 6.5 to 9.5 GHz.

Backgrounds: The health of university staff is a major occupational health concern worldwide. Studies have reported low health-related quality of life (HRQOL), low job satisfaction and poor mental health in this occupational group. However, none of previous studies have measured health utility and compared it to a national norm. Therefore, this study was conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the HRQOL of university staff in China and to identify risk factors influential to their health. Methods: This was a cross-sectional survey conducted in a public university in China. Participants were interviewed face-to-face for demographic and socioeconomic information and health conditions. The Chinese version of the EQ-5D-5L instrument was used to measure HRQOL for calculating health utility. The relationship between health utility and sample characteristics was first examined using t-test and correlation analysis. Multivariate generalized linear models were further applied to evaluate the significance of these associations while adjusting for other variables. Results: The sample (n=154) had a mean age of 40.65 years and slightly more females (51.30%). The overall prevalence of diseases or symptoms was 81.17%. Participants attained the means (SDs) of 0.945 (0.073) and 83.00 (11.32) for the health utility and visual analogue scale respectively. The most affected domain was the anxiety/depression with 40.26% of participants reporting problems and 37.66% of the sample reported problems in the pain/discomfort domain. There were less than 5% participants reported problems in the mobility, self-care or daily activity domains individually. Multivariate models revealed that psychological/emotional conditions were associated with the largest utility loss of -0.067 (95%CI: -0.089, -0.045) followed by having a Master’s degree or higher (-0.048, 95%CI: -0.09, -0.005) and pain in body parts other than head, neck and back (-0.034, 95%CI: -0.055, -0.014).Conclusions: University staff in China may have worse HRQOL than the general population, which manifested mainly with the pain/discomfort and anxiety/depression domains. The significant factors for utility loss were having a Master’s degree or higher, psychological conditions and pain in body parts other than the head, neck and back. Targeted health promotion policies and programs should be created to benefit this occupational group and society overall.

Yam is an important food staple for millions of people globally, particularly those in the developing countries of West Africa and the Pacific Islands. To sustain the growing population, yam production must be increased amidst the many biotic and abiotic stresses. Plant viruses are among the most detrimental of plant pathogens and have caused great losses of crop yield and quality, including those of yam. Knowledge and understanding of virus biology and ecology are important for the development of diagnostic tools and disease management strategies to combat the spread of yam-infecting viruses. This review aims to highlight current knowledge on key yam-infecting viruses by examining their characteristics, genetic diversity, disease symptoms, diagnostics, and elimination to provide a synopsis for consideration in developing diagnostic strategy and disease management for yam.
