Abstract Early Diagnosis of oral cancer is very important and can save you from some oral malignancies. However, while this approach aids in the rapid healing of patients and the preservation of their lives, there are several causes for poor and wrong diagnosis of oral cancer. In recent years, the use of computer-aided design diagnosis tools as an auxiliary tool alongside clinicians has greatly benefited in more accurate identification of this malignancy. The current study proposes a new approach for identifying oral cancer patients based on image processing and deep learning. The current study employs a recently integrated model of an improved tunicate swarm algorithm to produce an efficient tool for improving a convolutional neural network and delivering an accurate cancer diagnostic system. The approach is then implemented on the oral cancer pictures dataset. The approach is then validated by comparing it to other published papers using various measurement markers. The proposed model achieved an accuracy of 98.70% and a recall of 93.71% in detecting oral cancerous lesions from photographic images. The model also achieved an F1-score of 90.08% and a precision of 96.42%. The final results demonstrate that the offered approach can produce more exact results and can be used in conjunction with clinicians to help in diagnosing oral cancer.

The hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) plays a key role in facilitating the adaptation of cells to hypoxia, profoundly influencing the immune vascular microenvironment (IVM) and immunotherapy outcomes. HIF-1α-mediated tumor hypoxia drives angiogenesis, immune suppression, and extracellular matrix remodeling, creating an environment that promotes tumor progression and resistance to immunotherapies. HIF-1α regulates critical pathways, including the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor and immune checkpoint upregulation, leading to tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte dysfunction and recruitment of immunosuppressive cells like regulatory T cells and myeloid-derived suppressor cells. These alterations reduce the efficacy of checkpoint inhibitors and other immunotherapies. Recent studies highlight therapeutic strategies that target HIF-1α, such as the use of pharmacological inhibitors, gene editing techniques, and hypoxia-modulating treatments, which show promise in enhancing responses to immunotherapy. This review explores the molecular mechanisms of action of HIF-1α in IVM, its impact on immunotherapy resistance, as well as potential interventions, emphasizing the need for innovative approaches to circumvent hypoxia-driven immunosuppression in cancer therapy.

Objective: The production process of esterified Monascus bran koji was optimized, and its effect on Luzhou-flavor liquor was explored. Methods: Five strains of Monascus were screened from Daqu, and the esterifying enzyme production ability of the strains was detected by the ester decomposition method. The strain with the most prominent enzyme production ability was selected to prepare Monascus bran koji. The koji-making process was optimized by single factor and orthogonal experiments and applied to liquor production. Results: Among the five strains, the J-3 strain had the strongest ability to produce esterification enzyme. Under the conditions of 50% moisture, 4% inoculation amount, pH 4.0 and 32 ℃ culture temperature, the esterification enzyme activity was as high as 77.78 mg/g bran koji. The bran koji was added to the fermented grains according to different inoculation amounts. Compared with the fermented grains without bran koji, when the inoculation amount of bran koji was 1%, the content of ethyl acetate in the fermented grains increased by 4.84 times, and the content of ethyl caproate increased by 3.55 times. When the inoculation amount was 1.5%, the content of ethyl butyrate increased by 4.72 times. The addition of esterified Monascus bran koji can improve the utilization rate of alcohol and starch, and significantly increase the total ester content in fermented grains. Conclusion: Adding Monascus bran koji to fermented grains according to the appropriate inoculation amount can improve the quality of Luzhou-flavor liquor.

ObjectiveTo investigate the current situation and risk factors of high-frequency consumption of pickled and smoked products in Southwest China and put forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.MethodsA questionnaire survey was conducted from February to May in 2021 in Southwest China （Yunnan， Guizhou， Sichuan and Chongqing） by convenient sampling to obtain data. The geographical， demographic and sociological factors， health knowledge and behavior factors were collected. The risk factors of high-frequency pickled and smoked products consumption were analyzed by disordered multi classification logistic regression.ResultsGeographical factor analysis showed that the risk of high-frequency consumption of pickled and smoked products in Yunnan， Guizhou and rural areas was high. The risk of high-frequency consumption of pickled and smoked products in Yunnan province were 2.764 times and 2.126 times higher than that in Chongqing respectively. Among the demographic sociological factors， high-frequency consumption of pickled and smoked products was positively correlated with age and education to a certain extent， and intellectual labor was a protective factor. The most noteworthy factor was the age： the risk of the elderly over 60 years old was the highest， and only 46.70% of the youth aged from 18 had the behavior. In terms of health knowledge and behavior， there was a statistical difference between the knowledge of salt and the consumption of smoked products. The risk of the group with zero correct rate was 1.372 times higher than that of the group with all correct answers. The frequency of drinking alcohol and the risk of pickled and smoked products were basically positively correlated. In the two groups of dependent variables， people who drunk more than three times a week had the highest risk， and the risk of those who never drunk was only 32.10% compared to the drinkers.ConclusionPickled and smoked products are the characteristic food in Southwest China. Geographical factors， demographic and sociological factors， health knowledge and behavior factors are related to high-frequency consumption of pickled and smoked products. It is necessary to control the health risks brought by high-frequency eating behaviors， promote targeted health education in Yunnan， Guizhou and rural areas， and elderly and less educated groups， encourage healthy eating behaviors， and promote the “Healthy Southwest Action” of “Healthy China”.

To control mechanical waves and structural vibrations, an important method is to design metamaterials with tailored elastic constants, but it is very difficult. In this paper, a simple and universal metamaterial design method is proposed. This orthotropic metamaterial is composed of elements arrayed periodically in space. The element includes two cuboid structures. The first structure is the basic structure of the element, and the second structure is the transformation of the first structure of the element. The first structure of the element is a cuboid structure composed of 24 bars connected by 8 nodes, and the second structure of the element is a cuboid structure composed of 36 bars connected by 14 nodes. This metamaterial has six independent elastic constants, so there is a large degree of freedom in the material design. Therefore, it has great application value in the fields of mechanical metamaterials, elastic wave metamaterials, acoustic metamaterials, and seismic metamaterials, and has also laid the foundation for realizing the dream of controlling mechanical waves and structural vibrations.

This article focuses on the safe operation of lithium battery energy storage power stations and develops a data monitoring and safety warning platform for energy storage systems. The background, architecture, implementation methods, and main functions of the platform development are introduced in sequence. This platform significantly improves the safety of energy storage stations by implementing active safety monitoring and early warning, which is of great significance for the large-scale application and promotion of lithium battery energy storage stations.

In spite of debate, ambiguity, and tension around teacher dispositions, in the past over two decades, the place of dispositions in initial teacher education (ITE) has been widely supported among policy makers and researchers. Specifically, debate on whether dispositions are teachable has largely given way to action to foster dispositions. Adopting a two-cycle participatory action research design, this study explored ways to teach the first-year teacher candidates' dispositions in an early childhood ITE programme in New Zealand. The intervention included eight focus dispositions and corresponding strategies to teach each focus disposition. Data collection methods included student self-assessment surveys, individual and focus group interviews with students and teaching staff, team meetings, and a variety of pedagogical documentation. Ethnographic content analysis generated three themes: legitimacy of the intervention, experiential orientation of the intervention, and effect of the intervention. The study exemplifies how dispositions intervention can be incorporated in ITE programmes.
