Objective: Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) syndrome is a rare congenital disorder that results in vaginal agenesis. Lee's neovaginoplasty is a novel surgery for reconstructing the vagina. Transneovaginal oocyte retrieval completely changes the scope of fertility for patients with MRKH syndrome who have undergone neovaginal reconstruction. Case report: A 22-year-old female with type 1 MRKH syndrome underwent Lee's neovaginoplasty successfully. Four years later, she sought embryo cryopreservation consultation and underwent controlled ovarian hyperstimulation. Upon examination, her anti-Müllerian hormone level was 1.97 ng/ml and she had only eight antral follicles. The neovaginal length was 8 cm with elasticity and extensibility. Transneovaginal oocyte retrieval was performed under ultrasound guidance, and seven oocytes were retrieved. The follicle-to-oocyte index was 87.5%. Conclusion: Lee's neovaginoplasty is a promising surgery for reconstructing the vagina in MRKH syndrome, and this case shows that transneovaginal oocyte retrieval can be successfully performed after vaginal reconstruction. This technique provides a minimally invasive option for retrieving oocytes in patients of MRKH syndrome.

Soluble phosphorus (P) and P uptake are heavily affected by adverse conditions, such as salinity and acidity. The study aimed to evaluate the effects of P-solubilizing purple nonsulfur bacteria (PSPNSB) Cereibacter sphaeroides on soil characteristics, P uptake, growth, and yield of rice planted in saline soil in Thoi Binh – Ca Mau under greenhouse conditions. The pot experiment was completely randomized in blocks with two factors. Factor A was the rate of phosphorus chemical fertilization at 0, 25, 50, 75, and 100% P according to the recommendation. Factor B was the PSPNSB including a single strain of C. sphaeroides ST16 or C. sphaeroides ST26 and a mixture of them. The soluble P in soil increased by 16.4–18.2% when C. sphaeroides ST16 and ST26 were supplied singly or in the mixture, leading to the increase in total P uptake in rice by 19.2–30.1% in two continuous crops. Moreover, the growth and yield components of rice were also improved, leading to an increase in rice grain yield by 7.20–17.7%. Moreover, supplying the C. sphaeroides strains reduced Na+ in soil and Na content in stem, leaves, and grains, leading to the reduction in proline content in rice. Supplying the C. sphaeroides ST16 and ST26 or their mixture replaced 100% P fertilizer but still ensured the rice grain yield. Further approaches should be made to investigate the possibility of the potent strains replacing chemical P fertilizers under field conditions.

Phosphorus (P) is one of the essential macronutrients for crops. It is present in soil in two forms: soluble and insoluble. However, plants cannot absorb the insoluble forms, including Al-P, Fe-P, and Ca-P; thus, the phosphorus use efficiency is reduced. Therefore, the biological approaches should focus more on sustainable agriculture to overcome this constraint. This article cites publications relating to the biological P solubilizer group of bacteria, which have a highly potential adaptation to many conditions in soils. Among the biological approaches, purple nonsulfur bacteria (PNSB) are a potent group of bacteria according to their adaptability in acidic, saline, and toxic conditions based on their mechanisms in producing exopolymeric substances and siderophores under such adverse environments like acid-sulfate and saline soils. PNSB can solubilize P in soil to have more P availability for soil microbes and plants. This particular group of bacteria has been widely applied in liquid and solid forms from agricultural waste to promote plant growth under submerged conditions. Moreover, this article summarized the P-solubilizing mechanisms of P-solubilizing bacteria and introduced future research perspectives on patterns of PNSB in aspects of nutrient-providing potency, plant growth-promoting capability, and biological control capacity. However, the specific mechanisms of P solubilization by PNSB have not been well documented since the P-solubilizing mechanisms have been investigated on general P-solubilizing bacteria. Thus, specific pathways and metabolites relating to the P-solubilizing PNSB should be investigated, and attention should be addressed to them soon.

BackgroundSocial prescribing (SP) takes a holistic approach to health by linking clients from clinical settings to community programs to address their nonmedical needs. The emerging evidence base for SP demonstrates variability in the design and implementation of different SP initiatives. To effectively address these needs, coproduction among clients, communities, stakeholders, and policy makers is important for tailoring SP initiatives for optimal uptake. ObjectiveThis study aims to explore the role of coproduction in SP initiatives. The research question is as follows: How and for what purpose has coproduction been incorporated across a range of SP initiatives for different clients? MethodsA review of international literature will be conducted following the JBI guidelines for scoping reviews. We will search multiple databases including Scopus, MEDLINE, and the PAIS Index, as well as gray literature, from 2000 to 2023. The primary studies included will describe a nonmedical need for clients, a nonmedical SP program or initiative, coproduction of the SP program, and any follow-up. Review articles and commentaries will be excluded. Titles, abstracts, and full-text articles will be screened, and data will be extracted by at least 2 research team members using Covidence and a pilot-tested extraction template. Clients with lived experience will also participate in the research process. Findings will be descriptively summarized and thematically synthesized to answer the research question. ResultsThe project was funded in 2023, and the results are expected to be submitted for publication in early 2025. ConclusionsDescriptions of what coproduction is meant to accomplish may differ from theoretical aspirations. Continued understanding of how coproduction has been designed and executed across varied international SP models is important for framing engagement in practice for future SP arrangements and their evaluation. We anticipate this review will guide clients, communities, stakeholders, and policy makers in further developing SP practice within health care systems. IntroductionSocial prescribing is defined as “a means for trusted individuals in clinical and community settings to identify that a person has nonmedical, health-related social needs and to subsequently connect them to nonclinical supports and services within the community by co-producing a social prescription—a nonmedical prescription, to improve health and well-being and to strengthen community connections.” Globally, there is growing interest in social prescribing as a holistic approach to health and well-being, with almost 30 countries involved in the social prescribing movement. In Canada, great strides are being made in social prescribing research, policy and practice, with all of this work being supported by the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing.

IntroductionLa prescription sociale est « un moyen par lequel des professionnels de confiance en milieu clinique ou communautaire déterminent qu’une personne a des besoins sociaux liés à la santé qui ne sont pas d’ordre médical, et par lequel ils adressent cette personne à des services et à un soutien non cliniques au sein de la communauté, par l’élaboration conjointe d’une « prescription sociale », c’est-à-dire une prescription non médicale pour améliorer la santé et le bien-être de la personne et renforcer ses liens avec la communauté ». À l’échelle mondiale, la prescription sociale suscite un intérêt croissant en tant qu’approche holistique de la santé et du bien-être, et près de 30 pays sont impliqués dans le mouvement pour la prescription sociale. Au Canada, la recherche, les politiques et les pratiques en matière de prescription sociale progressent à grands pas avec le soutien de l’Institut canadien de prescription sociale.

The purpose of this research is to examine the change in water resources over the previous 50 years in the Lam River basin (also known as the Ca River) in Nghe An province, an important water resource basin in the North Central area. According to the findings, the amount of flow through hydrological stations on rivers and streams in Nghe An province has been falling since 2012, and the yearly flow pattern is continuously dropping. For many years following 2015, the flow has been lower than typical, owing to the drought that occurred during the dry season of 2015-2016.

The task of calculating the shortest distance with minimal curvature between two points on a mesh surface is a well-known problem in computational geometry. This paper aims to develop a effective algorithm for computing geodesics on large, complex models with fast processing times to facilitate interactive applications. Our contribution is developing of the parallel window propagation (PWP) algorithm, which divides the sequential MMP algorithm into four phases: front node selection, window list propagation, window list merging, and vertex update. We use two separate buffers for incoming windows on each edge to avoid data dependency and conflicts in each phase, allowing for parallel processing on a CPU. As a result, our PWP algorithm can propagate a large number of windows simultaneously and independently, leading to significant improvements in performance for real-world models.

The performance of multi-hop cluster-based wireless networks under multiple eavesdroppers is investigated in the present work. More precisely, we derive the outage probability (OP) of the considered networks under two relay selection schemes: the channel-gain-based scheme and the random scheme. Although equally correlated Rayleigh fading is taken into consideration, the derived mathematical framework remains tractable. Specifically, we represent the exact expression of the OP under the channel-based scheme in series form, while the OP under the random scheme is computed in a closed-form expression. Additionally, we propose a novel power allocation for each transmitter that strictly satisfies the given intercept probability. Numerical results based on the Monte Carlo method are provided to verify the correctness of the derived framework. These results are also used to identify the influences of various parameters, such as the number of clusters, the number of relays per cluster, and the transmit power.

Abstract Background Cocreation has the potential to engage people with lived and living experiences in the design and evaluation of health and social services. However, guidance is needed to better include people from equity‐deserving groups (EDGs), who are more likely to face barriers to participation, experience ongoing or historical harm, and benefit from accessible methods of engagement. Objective The aim of this international forum (CoPro2022) was to advance a collective vision for equity‐based cocreation. Design A participatory process of engagement in experiential colearning and arts‐based creative and reflective dialogue. Visual prototypes were created and synthesised to generate a collective vision for inclusive equity‐based cocreation. Setting and Participants The Forum was held at the Gathering Place by the Grand River in Ohsweken, Ontario, Canada. A total of 48 participants attended the forum. They were purposely invited and have intersecting positionalities (21 academic experts, six experience experts, 10 trainees, and 11 members of EDGs) from nine countries (Bangladesh, Botswana, Canada, England, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Singapore, Sweden). CoPro2022 Activities CoPro2022 was an immersive experience hosted on Indigenous land that encouraged continuous participant reflection on their own worldviews and those of others as participants openly discussed the challenges and opportunities with engaging EDGs in cocreation activities. Visual prototypes and descriptions created in small groups were informed by participants' reflections on the panel presentations at the Forum and their own experiences with equity‐based cocreation. Following the event, the authorship team inductively coded themes from the prototype descriptions and met to discuss the cross‐cutting themes. These informed the design of an illustrated collective vision for Equity Based Co‐Creation (EqCC). Results Six prototypes were cocreated by each small group to illustrate their vision for EqCC. Within these, four cross‐cutting themes were identified: (i) go to where people are, (ii) nurture relationships and creativity, (iii) reflect, replenish and grow, (iv) and promote thriving and transformation. These four themes are captured in the Collective EqCC Vision to guide a new era of inclusive excellence in cocreation activities. Patient or Public Contribution Service users, caregivers, and people with lived experience were involved in leading the design of the CoPro2022 and co‐led the event. This included activities at the event such as presenting, facilitating small and large group discussion, leading art‐based activities, and reflecting with the team on the lessons learned. People with lived experience were involved in the analysis and knowledge sharing from this event. Several members of the research team (students and researchers) also identified as members of EDGs and were invited to draw from their personal and academic knowledge.

For the majority of the world, most drainage basins are poorly gauged or simply ungauged. The estimation of the hydrological parameters in sub-catchments of large basins is a very difficult task but is frequently required in hydrological analyses. Estimating runoff from ungauged or sparsely gauged catchments is a serious challenge in developing countries like Vietnam. The Ca River Basin is the most extensive system in the North Central region of Vietnam but contains very limited hydrological gauging stations. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the extended applicability of a simulated hydrological Tank model at the Ca River Basin sub-catchments. The daily Tank model was calibrated in gauged sub-catchments: Quy Chau in northern-side and Hoa Quan in southern-side sub-catchments. The extended applicability of calibrated parameter sets was verified by data from the continuously gauged stations of Nghia Khanh, Dua, and Yen Thuong. According to the findings of this study, the use of parameters identified in small sub-catchments can be used to calculate the flow processes in similar, but larger catchments in the Ca River Basin. The simulated Tank model parameters can be applied to calculate discharge at ungauged locations within the study area for a variety of purposes. HIGHLIGHTS The Tank model was used to simulate daily data rainfall-discharge processes at poorly gauged sub-catchments.; The Tank model consisting of four serial storage tanks is commonly used for long-term hydrological simulations.; The estimated parameters for the small-scale sub-catchment provide a good response for the large-scale sub-catchment.;

Although widely used in the textile industry, methyl orange is considered one of the most toxic dyes, which have negative impacts on the aquatic environment and needs to be removed from water bodies. Hence, the present paper reports the synthesis of new floating photo-Fenton catalysts based on the immobilization of Fe2O3 nanoparticles on the surface of Luffa sponges for the oxalate-induced-degradation of methyl orange. The floating catalytic sponges were prepared through a simple precipitation method followed by a reflux heating process and then characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, atomic absorption spectrometry, and nitrogen adsorption-desorption experiments. According to the experimental results, methyl orange was effectively degraded over our floating catalytic sponges under light illumination at near neutral pH. The catalytic activity was also found to be enhanced with the increase in crystallinity of Fe2O3 nanoparticles, which can be achieved by the reflux heating. Besides, owing to the floating feature, these sponges are easily separated from the solution, thereby not forming a secondary source of pollution for water
