We estimated the shelf life of pasteurized Passiflora setacea pulp, by accelerated tests based on microbiological, nutritional, functional, and sensory variables. The pulp was pasteurized using the binomial of 82 ◦C/20 s and stored at 25, 35, and 45 ◦C. The quality of the pulp was evaluated at the beginning of storage and every two days, up to 12 days. Brazil is the center of diversity and dispersion of species of the genus Passiflora. Two species of passion fruit Passiflora tenuifila BRS VT (passiflora garlic) and another of Passiflora setacea BRS PC were used in this study. The plants were grown on the Embrapa Cerrados experimental farm. The fruits were washed, minimally cut and their constituents separated. Both species differed in the proportion of wet mass between husk, seed, and pulp. As expected, both species had a higher proportion of husks and seeds and a lower amount of pulp. A semi-purification procedure for the proteins present in the seeds and husks was described and the molecular aspects were analyzed by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). The quantification of soluble proteins was performed using the Bradford method. The analysis of the soluble protein extracted from the seeds and husks showed that these values are up to 70 times higher for the seeds of P. tenuifila and 28.5 times for P. setacea, in the husks. It was verified that both species present a similar protein profile, observed by the intense and diverse bands found in the polyacrylamide gel, mainly in the range of 32 to 19 kDa. This work opens up an unexplored field of tracking bioactive proteins and/or peptides including forms of nanostructure systems that protect other bioactive molecules. The objective of this work was to present an analytical procedure to semi-purify seed proteins of two Passiflora species and use electrophoresis as an analysis tool for further screening of their protein profiles and selection of a molecular marker to differentiate them. The Cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus (CABMV), of the genus Potyvirus (Potyviridae), causes the most prominent passion fruit (Passiflora spp.) disease in Brazil. The virus is transmitted in a non-circulating manner by many species of aphids. Chemical control of the vector insect is inefficient, due to the non-circulating nature of the virus-vector aphid relationship, and commercial species of passion fruit are susceptible to the virus. As such, comprehending the disease?s spatio-temporal dissemination dynamic may assist in outlining cultural control strategies, as chemical and genetic control are not used in this situation. The experiments were carried out in commercial fields in the cities of Petrolina-PE and Juazeiro-BA, where the mapping of diseased and healthy plants was carried out over time. The data regarding the incidence of the disease was submitted for analysis with Gompertz, Logistic, Monomolecular and Exponential growth models, in order to determine the best model and the progress rate for the disease?s growth curve. The spatial patterns of the disease along the planting lines and over time were determined using the doublets test and through logistic regression, applied to determine the influence of distance between diseased and healthy plants closer to the disease?s dissemination pattern. The growth model which best adjusted to the CABMV epidemics in passion fruit plants was the Logistic model, and no difference was observed between the ?r? rates of disease progress. The diseased passion fruit plants exhibited, in both fields, an aggregate pattern along the planting line with similar incidence values (4.16% and 6.74%). The fast development of the disease and the tendency toward aggregation between diseased plants were also confirmed with the analysis of distance through logistic regression. Thus, the production of seedlings in environments that are protected from aphids, systematic inspections for eradication of diseased plants (roguing) and the elimination of host weeds around the orchard may be used as management practices do eliminate inoculum sources and reduce the CABMV?s rate of progress. Although Brazil is the largest producer of passion fruit, the mean fruit yield is only 13 t ha-1 and may be attributed to susceptibility to pests and diseases. An attractive solution to the problem would be to improve traits by grafting onto a rootstock presenting enhanced vegetative vigor. To this end, the commercial cultivar Passiflora edulis 'BRS Gigante Amarelo' was grafted onto rootstocks that included three native species of Passiflora and four passion fruit hybrids that are still under development. Grafts were performed with 30-day old seedlings of scion and rootstocks using the cleft graft technique, and stem diametersabove the graft and plant heights were determinedat 30, 60 and 90 days after planting (DAP). The diameters and heights of grafted plants formed on rootstocks Passiflora edulis Sims. and hybrid P. edulis 'BRS Gigante Amarelo' X [(P. quadrifaria V and erpl. XP. setacea DC.) The aim of this research was to evaluate the quality of fermented alcoholic beverage from passion fruit produced using passion fruit species obtained from the Brazilian Caatinga biome (Passiflora cincinnata Mast.). Four treatments were elaborated using fruit pulp in two different ripening stages (unripe and ripe), with and without dilution of the pulp. The following analyses were conducted to characterize the passion fruit wines: pH, density, soluble solids, titratable and volatile acidity, sulfur dioxide, dry extract, alcohol content, total sugar, color parameters (L*, a*, b*, C* and h) and bioactive compounds (ascorbic acid and phenolic compounds). The antioxidant potential as determined in vitro by DPPH, FRAP and ORAC assays. The overall acceptance and purchase intention of the beverages were evaluated using a consumer test. The physiochemical compositions of the samples were different, except for volatile acidity and ascorbic acid. The total phenolic compounds content was considered relevant, >700 mg GAE L1 . Twenty-one phenolic compounds, among phenolic acids, flavonols, flavanols and stilbenes were identified and quantified by HPLC-DAD-FD. The sensory score obtained was considered satisfactory. This study showed the feasibility of using the Caatinga passion fruit to produce fermented alcoholic beverage, which could be inserted on the market as a new product. En el presente trabajo se aborda la problemática que se vive en la actualidad, la propagación de enfermedades con alta probabilidad de contagio, y una potencial propuesta de mejora en el proceso actual de control de calidad después de la cosecha en los negocios relacionados a la agricultura, que se han visto impactados por las diversas medidas implementadas por el Estado y sus ministerios. También se desarrollan factores de deseabilidad y factibilidad como beneficios esperados por la realización del proyecto para el cliente final, que son los agricultores independientes a través de una alternativa de bajo costo, orientada a las necesidades como el cumplimiento de protocolos y optimización de las actividades requeridas durante el control de calidad. Esta alternativa utiliza tecnología disruptiva como internet de las cosas, para la interconexión y comunicación entre ordenador y una cámara como dispositivo de capturas de imágenes las cuales serán enviadas inalámbricamente para su procesamiento en una red neuronal convolucional que clasifica la producción de granadillas como fruta válida o inválida y acatar con los protocolos vigentes y generar mejoras en los negocios. This paper is about the most critical issue that we are living right now, the propagation of diseases with high probability of spread, and a potential solution to improve the current quality process after the collection of fruits from business related with agriculture that had been impacted by several actions from Governments and their ministries. Also, it develops factors of desirability, feasibility and expected benefits with the implementation of this project to the final client who are the independent farmers through a low-cost alternative oriented to the requirements, like the accomplishment of the protocols and the optimization of principal activities during quality assurance. This alternative uses a disruptive technology as internet of things for connection and communication between a computer and a camera that will take photos and will send wirelessly with the purpose of being evaluated in a neural convolutional network model that can classify the production of a kind of Peruvian fruit, granadilla, as valid or invalid while the protocols are being fulfilled and making business improves. Finally, it presents considerations and lessons learned along the development of four tests of solution in the generation of the network and the shipment of information between devices.

There are many residues that can be used for agriculture, especially as a substrate. However, it is often necessary to fertilize the growing media so that the seedlings can be produced with quality. The objective of this study was to evaluate the use of alternative and commercial substrates associated with different controlled-release fertilizer levels in producing yellow passion fruit seedlings. The experiment was conducted at the Embrapa Acre seedling nursery, with 50% luminosity. We used a randomized block experimental design in a 5 x 3 factorial scheme with 15 treatments, 4 replicates, and 10 plants per plot. The treatments consisted of five controlledrelease fertilizer levels (0 kg m-3, 3 kg m-3, 6 kg m-3, 9 kg m-3, and 12 kg m-3) combined with lumps of acerola fruits (LAF), Brazil nut peel (BNP), and commercial (CS) substrates. The evaluated variables were seed height, stem diameter, number of leaves, shoot dry mass (SDM), root dry mass (RDM), total dry mass (TDM), and seedling quality index (SQI). Use of the alternative lumps of acerola fruit (LAF) substrate associated with the 10 kg m-³ level of controlled-release fertilizer promoted the best results. Resumo: Nesse estudo foi avaliada a eficácia dos isolados bacterianos: BB-4 (Bacillus cereus GC. Subgrupo B), BS-2 (Photorhabdus luminescens), BB-1 (Bacillus alcalophilus), BS-5 (B. cereus GC. Subgrupo B), BB-5 (Stenotrophomonas maltophilia), BB-6 (Yersinia bercovieri), BS-6 (B. cereus GC. Subgrupo B) e BS-3 (P. luminescens), no controle da antracnose no maracujá amarelo em testes de antagonismo e em frutos, sob condições de laboratório. O fitopatógeno foi desenvolvido em placas de Petri contendo meio BDA por 15 dias e os isolados bacterianos multiplicados em meio NA por dois dias a 28ºC. No teste em frutos de maracujá, realizou-se uma perfuração numa profundidade de 2 mm, seguido da pulverização de uma suspensão contendo um isolado bacteriano antagonista (108 ufc. mL-1). Sobre o ferimento, colocou-se um disco de BDA de 4 mm de diâmetro totalmente colonizado pelo patógeno, sendo mantidos por 7 dias até a avaliação do diâmetro das lesões (25ºC, alta UR% e 12 horas de fotoperíodo). O delineamento experimental adotado foi o inteiramente casualizado (9 tratamentos em 4 repetições). Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância e teste de Tukey (5%). No teste de antagonismo, verificou-se que, apenas os isolados BS-5 (B. cereus GC. Subgrupo B) e BS-2 (P. luminescens) não inibiram o crescimento micelial do patógeno. Os demais isolados inibiram o desenvolvimento do patógeno, com níveis de controle variando entre 35% e 53% e com destaque para os isolados BB-4 (B. cereus GC. Subgrupo B), BS-3 (P. luminescens) e BB-5 (S. maltophilia), com 52,5%; 52,5% e 53,3% de controle, respectivamente. No teste em frutos, verificou-se que BS-2 (P. luminescens), BS-5 (B. cereus GC. Subgrupo B), BB-1 (B. alcalophilus), BS-3 (P. luminescens) e BB-6 (Y. bercovieri) inibiram o desenvolvimento do patógeno, com níveis de controle variando entre 23,4% e 43,6% e com destaque para BB-1 (B. alcalophilus) e BS-3 (P. luminescens), com 43,6% de controle, indicando potencial de uso no biocontrole da antracnose em frutos de maracujá. Abstract: In this study was evaluated the efficacy of the bacterial strains: BB-4 (Bacillus cereusGC, subgroup B), BS-2 (Photorhabdus luminescens), BB-1 (Bacillus alcalophilus), BS-5 (B. cereus GC, subgroup B), BB-5 (Stenotrophomonas maltophilia), BB-6 (Yersinia bercovieri) and BS-6 (P. luminescens) on the control of anthracnose in yellow passion fruit, on antagonism tests and fruits tests under laboratory conditions. The plant pathogen was grown in Petri dishes containing BDA medium for 15 days and the bacterial strains were multiplied in AN medium for two days at 28°C. In passion fruits test, a wound was performed at a depth of 2 mm, followed by spraying with a suspension containing a bacterial antagonist strain (108 cfu. mL-1). On the wound, a BDA disc with 4 mmin diameter completely colonized by the pathogen and maintenance for 7 days (25ºC, high RU% and 12 hours of photoperiod) until the evaluation of diameter of lesions. The experimental design adopted was the completely randomized (9 treatments and 4 replications). The data were submitted to variance analysis and Tukey test (5%). In antagonism test, only BS-5 (B. CereusGC, Subgroup B) and BS-2 (P. luminescens) strains did not inhibit the mycelial growth of the pathogen. The other strains were efficient in inhibition, with levels ranging from 35% to 53%, highlighting the strains BB-4 (B. cereusGC. Sub group B), BS-3 (P. luminescens) and BB-4 (S. maltophilia), with 52.5%, 52.5% and 53.3% of control, respectively. In the fruit test, BS-2 (P. luminescens), BS-5 (B. cereusGC, Subgroup B), BB-1 (B. alcalophilus), BS-3 (P. luminescens) and BB-6 (Y. bercovieri) inhibited the development of the pathogen, with control levels varying between 23.4% and 43.6%, with emphasis on BB-1 (B. alcalophilus) and BS-3 (P. luminescens), with 43.6% of control, indicating potential of use on the biocontrol of anthracnose on passion fruits. In Brazil, passion flower is grown across almost the entire country. The predominant disease of the passion flower cropis passion fruit woodiness, caused by the potyvirus cowpea aphid-borne mosaic virus (CABMV), and transmitted byaphids in a nonpersistent manner. The disease reduces the useful life of the orchard from 36 months to approximately18 months. Up to now, there has not been an efficient method for disease management. The aim of this work was toevaluate the efficiency of systematic roguing of diseased plants through weekly inspections, for disease management inthe field. The latent and incubation periods of CABMV in passion flower vines were determined in order to optimizeroguing efficiency. Passion fruit plants inoculated with CABMV started to act as sources of inoculum from 3 days afterinoculation (DAI), and the symptoms were expressed, on average, at 8 DAI. Five field experiments, conducted in thestates of S~ao Paulo and Bahia, Brazil, demonstrated that systematic roguing of diseased plants was significantly efficientfor managing passion fruit woodiness disease. In order to facilitate identification and subsequent removal of theinfected plants, they need to be grown separately. This cultural practice can be recommended for managing passionfruit woodiness disease, provided it is applied on a regional scale by all passion fruit growers. The development ofsome pilot plantings for the application of roguing in a passion flower-producing region is recommended to validatethe use of this technique for managing passion fruit woodiness disease. Passiflora cincinnata Mast. é uma espécie nativa do Brasil com ampla distribuição geográfica, que pode ser explorada como fonte de resistência a estresses bióticos e abióticos, apresentando boa produtividade, bem como alta qualidade nutricional para a alimentação humana, além de outros usos. Por outro lado, a caracterização tanto molecular como citogenética é uma etapa importante para conservação e uso de genótipos, considerando a diversidade genética potencial da espécie. O presente trabalho objetivou caracterizar a diversidade genética entre acessos de maracujá da caatinga (P. cincinnata) conservados no Banco Ativo de Germoplasma de maracujá da Embrapa Semiárido, utilizando técnicas citogenéticas de análise convencional, dupla coloração CMA3/DAPI e utilizando marcadores moleculares do tipo ISSR. Os diferentes marcadores moleculares ISSR mostraram eficiência na detecção de polimorfismo, revelando variabilidade intraespecífica entre os acessos. Foram observados números cromossômicos diploides 2n=18, sendo classificados no grupo cromossômico com número básico x=9. A dupla coloração CMA/DAPI, permitiu identificar quatro bandas CMA positivo, núcleos interfásicos semirreticulados com presença de blocos CMA+. A colorabilidade dos grãos de pólen utilizando carmim acético e reativo de Alexander permitiu estimar uma alta viabilidade polínica com valores acima de 98% para ambos os corantes analisados, indicando o uso potencial dessa espécie em programas de melhoramento. Resumo. A partir de coletas realizadas em área rural no município de Paraíso do Tocantins, TO, foram obtidos exemplares do percevejo-de-renda Gargaphia lunulata (Mayr). Os insetos estavam ocasionando danos em cultivos comerciais de feijão (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) (Fabales: Fabaceae), quiabo [Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench] (Malvales: Malvaceae), maracujá (Passiflora edulis Sims) (Malpighiales: Passifloraceae) e também em plantas daninhas conhecidas como flor-do-guarujá (Turnera ulmifolia L.) (Malpighiales: Turneraceae) e fedegoso [Senna alata (L.) Roxb.] (Fabales: Fabaceae). A ocorrência de G. lunulata em feijão, quiabo, flor-do-guarujá e fedegoso é registrada pela primeira vez no Estado, sendo os percevejos-de-renda encontrados com maior densidade populacional em flor-do-guarujá, maracujá e feijão. Resumo: O controle fitossanitário das doenças pode ser considerado um fator decisivo na produção do maracujazeiro. O método químico, associado ao cultural e ao genético, consiste na melhor estratégia para reduzir as perdas provocadas pelas doenças fúngicas, bacterianas e viróticas desta frutífera. No caso do controle químico existem vários fungicidas protetores e sistêmicos disponíveis, com destaque para aqueles formulados com triazóis e estrobilurinas. O controle cultural pode contribuir para a aplicação de fertilização equilibrada, a destruição de restos culturais, a adoção de quebra-ventos, entre outras. Numa perspectiva futura será fundamental a disponibilidade de cultivares resistentes adaptadas às diferentes regiões do Brasil. Abstract: Phytosanitary control of diseases can be considered a crucial factor in the production of passion fruit. The chemical control associated to cultural and genetic approaches, may be the best way to reduce the losses caused by the fungal, bacterial and viral diseases of this fruit. There are several protective and systemic fungicides available for the chemical control, especially triazoles and strobilurins formulations. Recommended cultural control practices would be a balanced fertilization, destruction of cultural remains, adoption of windbreaks, etc. In a future perspective, the availability of resistant cultivars adapted to the different regions of Brazil will be important.

O gênero Passiflora compreende centenas de espécies silvestres e cultivadas de maracujá que possuem diversos usos na alimentação, na indústria, na medicina e também no paisagismo. Esforços para desenvolver ferramentas de análises genéticas em Passiflora edulis Sims, a espécie mais importante do gênero Passiflora, ainda são incipientes. Nessa pesquisa, é descrito o uso do Sequenciamento de Nova Geração para a montagem parcial do genoma de P. edulis com o intuito de desenvolver centenas de novos marcadores microssatélites. Um total de 14,11 Gpb de reads de sequências paired-end de Illumina foram analisadas para detectar sequências simples repetidas no genoma de maracujá. Uma amostra de 1.300 contigs que continham sequencias de microssatélites foram selecionadas para o desenvolvimento de primers para PCR. Os painéis para os marcadores di- e trinucleotídeos selecionados, foram testados em acessos de P. edulis para a sua validação. Polimorfismo foi detectado em 74% dos marcadores (PIC=0,16-0,77; número de alelos/loco=2-7). Os marcadores mais polimórficos (PIC=0,46-0,77) foram usados em análises de transferibilidade, modo de reprodução e confirmação de cruzamentos. Os marcadores foram testados em 78 espécies de Passiflora, onde aproximadamente 71% da combinação marcador/espécie foi positiva para a amplificação em todas as espécies testadas. No estudo do modo de reprodução da cultivar BRS Maracujá Jaboticaba de P. edulis, nas populações de polinização aberta, a taxa de cruzamento multiloco (tm) variou entre 0,409 e 0,566, evidenciando modo de reprodução misto por meio de autogamia e alogamia. Na confirmação de cruzamentos, foram analisados os genitores de quatro genealogias para a Inclusão ou Exclusão Categóricas para cada loco, e então calculados os Índice de Paternidade (PI) e a Probabilidade de Paternidade (W) para os verdadeiros genitores. Os marcadores microssatélites testados auxiliaram na exclusão de 7 supostos genitores de 6 cruzamentos em 4 genealogias, e confirmaram como genitores verdadeiros 5 dos supostos genitores, onde W variou entre 95,137 e 99,999%. Nossos estudos confirmaram a obtenção dos híbridos sexuais do cruzamentos interespecífico P. edulis GA2 x P. incarnata. Os marcadores moleculares microssatélites desenvolvidos, validados e utilizados nesse trabalho serão de grande utilidade para diferentes estudos genéticos das Passifloras por diferentes grupos de pesquisa no Brasil e no mundo. ABSTRACT: The Passiflora genus comprises hundreds of wild and cultivated species of passion fruit used for food, industrial, ornamental and medicinal purposes. Efforts to develop genomic tools for genetic analysis of P. edulis, the most important of the Passiflora species, are still incipient. We describe the use of NGS technology to partially assemble the P. edulis genome in order to develop hundreds of new microsatellite markers. A total of 14.11 Mbp of Illumina pairedend sequence reads were analyzed to detect simple sequence repeat sites in the sour passion fruit genome. A sample of 1,300 contigs containing perfect repeat microsatellite sequences was selected for PCR primer development. A panel of di- and tri-nucleotide repeat markers selected were then tested in P. edulis germplasm accessions for validation. DNA polymorphism was detected in 74% of the markers (PIC= 0.16 to 0.77; number of alleles/locus= 2 to 7). A core panel of highly polymorphic markers (PIC= 0.46 to 0.77) was used in analysis of cross-amplify, matting system and confirmation crosses in Passiflora. The markers tested in 78 species of Passiflora resulted in 71% of the marker/species combinations for positive amplicons in all species tested. In the study of matting system in the cultivar BRS Maracujá Jaboticaba of P. edulis, in three of the offspring that comes from commercial orchards of P. edulis allogamy were confirmed with multilocus outcrossing rate (tm) 0,409 to 0,566, that is an evidence of the mixed mating system through autogamy and allogamy. For the confirmation of crosses we analyzed the genitors from crosses of four genealogies by Categorical Inclusion or Exclusion for each loci, and then, estimated the Paternity Index (PI) and the Probability of Paternity (W) for the true genitor. Microsatellite markers tested assist for the exclusion of 7 alleged genitors of 6 crossings in 4 genealogies, and confirmed as a true genitors 5 alleged genitors, where W was rated between 95.137 and 99.999%. Our research confirms the achievement of sexual hybrid for interspecific crossing of P. edulis GA2 x P. incarnata. The new microsatellite markers, validated and used in this research, will be useful for different genetic studies of Passiflora by different research groups in Brazil and worldwide. The aim of this study was to conduct a survey on nematodes associated with five cultivated fruit trees growing in the Agroforestry System (AFS) of the municipality of Oiapoque, Amapá, Brazil. Rhizosphere samples were collected from three points at the base of murici (Byrsonima sp.), soursop (Annona muricata), cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum), passion fruit (Passiflora sp.) and peach palm (Bactris gasipaes) trees. Four species of phytonematodes were identified, namely Pratylenchus brachyurus, Helicotylenchus dihystera, Mesocriconema xenoplax and Rotylenchulus reniformis. The most prevalent and abundant species was R. reniformis, which was found in the rhizospheres of passion fruit, cupuaçu, soursop, and peach palm. The first record in Brazil of the nematode P. brachyurus, found in the roots of murici is reported here, and all of the nematode species identified here are the first records for fruit trees in the state of Amapá.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar o efeito de plantas de cobertura em cultivo consorciado de maracujá, abacaxi, mandioca e milho sobre a atividade biológica do solo em período chuvoso e de estiagem. O experimento foi conduzido em Rio Branco, Acre, em um ARGISSOLO AMARELO Alítico plíntico. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos casualizados completos com parcelas subdivididas e quatro repetições. Nas parcelas foram estudadas épocas de avaliação (março, maio, agosto e outubro de 2011) e, nas subparcelas, plantas de cobertura [kudzu tropical (Pueraria phaseoloides), crotalaria (Crotalaria espectabilis), amendoim forrageiro (Arachis pintoi), feijão de porco (Canavalia ensiformis) e plantas espontâneas]. Foram avaliadas respiração (edáfica e basal), biomassa microbiana, e quocientes metabólico (qCO2) e microbiano (qMIC). No final do período chuvoso, em condições de adequada umidade e oxigenação do solo, a cobertura com crotalária potencializa a atividade microbiana juntamente com e feijão de porco, que proporciona maior respiração edáfica. No período com maior restrição do oxigênio no solo (outubro a março - estação chuvosa) e de água (agosto - característico da estação seca), o amendoim forrageiro mantém alta atividade microbiana. No período de maior precipitação pluviométrica (março), o solo sob plantas espontâneas apresenta maiores biomassa microbiana e eficiência metabólica.

O uso de espécies silvestres de maracujá tem resultado em progresso no melhoramento genético da cultura. No entanto, o uso dessas tem sido incipiente, devido à existência de poucas informações sobre a diversidade genética disponível. Tais atividades são essenciais para que os recursos genéticos do gênero Passiflora sejam utilizados com sucesso. Este trabalho objetivou quantificar a diversidade genética existente entre onze espécies do gênero Passiflora (Passiflora edulis, P. mucronata, P. setacea, P. pentagona, P. caerulea, P. gibertii, P. cincinnata, P. suberosa, P. micropetala, P. alata e P.coccinea). Foram utilizados descritores morfológicos qualitativos e quantitativos, sendo analisados conjuntamente por meio do procedimento Ward-MLM (Modified Location Model). Os acessos foram reunidos em cinco grandes grupos, sendo os caracteres relacionados às flores os que mais contribuíram para a diversidade genética dos acessos. O método de Ward-MLM possibilitou distinguir os subgêneros analisados, e houve uma clara separação entre as espécies. Vasta diversidade foi encontrada no gênero Passiflora, que pode ser explorada em programas de melhoramento do maracujazeiro.

O delineamento experimental foi o inteiramente casualizado, em esquema fatorial 5 x 4, sendo cinco doses de boro (0; 0,25; 0,50; 0,75 e 1,00 mg dm-3), e quatro doses do material de cartão de cupinzeiro de montículo (0; 25; 50 e 75 g dm-3), com quatro repetições, totalizando 80 unidades experimentais. A unidade experimental foi constituída por vasos com capacidade máxima para 700 cm3 de amostras. O experimento foi realizado em casa de vegetação da Faculdade de Ciências Agrárias da UFGD, em Dourados-MS. Os maiores valores de produção de massa seca da parte aérea, altura de plantas, área foliar, diâmetro de caule e teor de clorofila são alcançados pelas aplicações conjuntas de material do cartão na maior dose e entre as duas maiores doses de B. O material de cartão de cupinzeiro foi pouco efetivo como fonte de B para promover alterações nos componentes de crescimento do maracujazeiro, avaliados. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of boron doses and nest of termites material on growth components, concentration and accumulation of boron in shoots of yellow passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims f. flavicarpa Deg.), grown in Red Distrophic Latosol. The experimental delineation was randomized completely, in factorial design 5 x 4, with five doses of boron (0; 0,25; 0,50; 0,75 e 1,00 mg dm-3), and four doses of the material termites mound nest (0; 25; 50 e 75 g dm-3), with four replications. The experimental unit was composed of vessels with up to 700 cm3 samples. The experiment was conducted in green house at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of UFGD, in Dourados-MS. The higher values of production on dry matter of shoots, plant height, leaf area, stem diameter and chlorophyll content are obtained by joint application of nest of termites material in maximum dose and between the two higher doses of B. The nest of termites material was low effective as boron source to promote changes on growth components of passion fruit plant, evaluates.

Na regiao do submedio Sao Francisco, o maracujazeiro (Passiflora edulis f. flavicarpa) apresente um grande potencial de producao, pois a irrigacao e o clima seco com alta intensidade luminosa proporcionam uma lata producao de frutos com otimo aspecto, sabor e aroma, constituindo-se uma materia-prima das mais utilizadas na industria alimenticia para a obtencao de sucos concentrado e natural destinados aos mercados nacional e internacional. Devido a intensificacao no cultivo do maracuja, tem-se observado, em plantios comerciais, o aparecimento de plantas apresentando sintomas de murcha rapida e amarelecimento das folhas. Com a finalidade de diagnosticar este material, amostras foram coletadas e levadas ao laboratorio de Fitopatologia da EMBRAPA-CPATSA, para analise. Foi, entao, detectada a presenca do fungo Fusarium spp. como agente causal da referida doenca. Observou-se, aind,a sobre o material vegetal, como tambem em alguns isolados, a ocorrencia do fungo Trichoderma spp. parasitando, naturalmente, as colonias do patogeno. Estudos futuros serao realizados com este antagonista, com o proposito de controlar o patogeno, visto que pelos metodos convencionais nao se tem obtido exito.
