Este texto relata experiências de três projetos de extensão na área da psicologia escolar e educacional e no desenvolvimento humano. Um projeto desenvolveu intervenções com mães; outro, com docentes-estudantes; o terceiro, com docentes da educação básica das redes pública e privada. Como método foi utilizado o relato de experiência, apresentando as características, objetivos e público de interesse dos projetos, seguido de uma discussão crítica acerca dos projetos e a relação deles com os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), com foco no ODS 4, e como possibilitam a realização deles. Os projetos apresentaram feedback positivo dos participantes, relacionando-se à promoção de saúde mental, produção de uma cultura de educação não coercitiva, comprometimento com o desenvolvimento da comunidade ao realizar ações de incentivo a uma cultura de prevenção a violência na escola, além de estimularem as competências básicas necessárias na formação do psicólogo. Salienta-se que dois projetos foram realizados em contexto pandêmico, quando existiam diversas novas demandas que puderam ser enfrentadas com auxílio do conhecimento criado na universidade. As atividades de extensão desses projetos propiciaram a inter-relação entre comunidade e universidade em congruência com o ODS 4, educação de qualidade, da Agenda 2030 para desenvolvimento sustentável.

Este estudo buscou mapear as produções científicas nacionais e internacionais referentes ao clima escolar. Para isso foi realizada uma revisão integrativa da literatura, adotando- -se o recorte temporal de 2019 a 2023. Foram selecionados 16 artigos que abordaram diferentes concepções sobre clima escolar, os quais foram submetidos a análise conceitual e metodológica. A análise indicou uma diversidade de conceitos e instrumentos utilizados para a avaliação do clima escolar e a predominância de estudos internacionais quantitativos. A necessidade de estudos no contexto nacional é essencial diante dos impactos que o clima escolar exerce no bem-estar, na qualidade de vida e no processo educacional dos estudantes.

Protium heptaphyllum (P. heptaphyllum), popularly known as “almacega” or “white pitch”, is widely used in folk medicine due to its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and healing properties, attributed to its richness in flavonoids and terpenes. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of treatment for 28 days with liposomes containing P. heptaphyllum leaf extract in obese animals. Male Wistar rats, subjected to a hypercaloric diet for 8 weeks to induce obesity (hypercaloric chow and water enriched with 30% sucrose, ad libitum), were treated with the plant formulation (1 mg kg−1day−1, via gavage) for 28 days. The study investigated morphological, metabolic, redox state, immunological and histological parameters in adipose and liver tissue. Rats were divided into four groups: control (C), liposomes with extract (H), obese (O) and obese treated with liposomes containing extract (OH). The results indicated that the obese group (O) presented weight gain, hepatic steatosis and alterations in metabolic and inflammatory parameters. However, treatment with liposomes (OH) reduced glucose, alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), creatinine and the lipid profile. In adipose tissue, the OH group showed decreased superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity and increased glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity, in contrast to the effects observed in liver GST. In the analysis of thiobarbituric-acid-reactive substances (TBARS), it was possible to observe an increase in all groups in adipose tissue and in group O in liver tissue, in addition to a reduction in TBARS in group OH in the liver, indicating modulation of oxidative stress. The treatment also increased the concentration of IL-10 and IL-17 in the liver and decreased that of IL-6 in adipose tissue. After 28 days of treatment, these results point to the therapeutic potential of treatment with P. heptaphyllum, not necessarily only against obesity, but also an effect per se of the liposomes, possibly due to the high concentration of flavonoids present in the plant extract.

Cyclophosphamide (CPA) is an alkylating agent used as a chemotherapy agent in the treatment of cancer, but it has immunosuppressive effects. Protium heptaphyllum (P. heptaphyllum) is a plant rich in triterpenes and flavonoids, with some bioactive and therapeutic properties presented in the literature. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the chemoprotective potential of P. heptaphyllum extract inserted into liposomes against oxidative damage chemically induced by CPA. Male Swiss mice received 1.5 mg/kg of P. heptaphyllum liposomes as a pre-treatment for 14 consecutive days (via gavage) and 100 mg/kg of CPA in a single dose (via intraperitoneal) on the 15th day. After the experimental period, blood and organ samples were collected for histopathological and biochemical analyses, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx), catalase (CAT), glutathione S-transferase (GST), reduced glutathione (GSH), thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), ascorbic acid (ASA), carbonyl protein, cytokine measurement, and micronucleus testing. The results showed that liposomes containing P. heptaphyllum extract have an antimutagenic effect against damage induced to DNA by CPA, and that they also protect against oxidative stress, as verified by the increase in the antioxidant enzymes SOD and GPx. The improvement in alkaline phosphatase and creatinine markers suggests a beneficial effect on the liver and kidneys, respectively. However, the depletion of GSH in the liver and brain suggests the use of antioxidants for the metabolism of molecules generated in these tissues. In general, these data show good prospects for the use of P. heptaphyllum liposomes as a cancer chemoprotective agent, as well as possible antioxidant action, conceivably attributed to the flavonoids present in the plant extract.

Coastal areas are currently exposed to numerous hazards exacerbated by climate change, including erosion, flooding, storm surges, and other sea level rise phenomena. Mediterranean countries, in particular, are facing a constant shrinking of coastal areas. This region also hosts significant cultural heritage assets, including several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The present research demonstrates a methodological approach to assess the current and future exposure of Mediterranean coastal areas and heritage assets to Sea Level Rise using open access data regarding elevation, vertical ground motion, and Sea Level Change factors (e.g., ice sheets, glaciers, etc.). The future projections regard 2050 and 2100 and are based on RCP scenarios 2.6, 4.5 and 8.5. The datasets used include Copernicus GLO-30 DSM, the European Ground Motion Service’s dataset on Vertical Ground Motion, the Sea Level Change Projections’ Regional Dataset by NASA, and a hybrid coastline dataset created for the present research purposes to assist in delineating the study area. The research results demonstrate that Greece, Italy, and France’s mainland and cultural heritage assets already face SLR-related hazards but are expected to be further exposed in the future, always taking into consideration the high level of uncertainty regarding SLR projections and RCP scenarios’ hypotheses.

Obesity, a chronic disease, resulted from excessive consumption of high-calorie foods, leading to an energy imbalance. Protium heptaphyllum (P. heptaphyllum) was used in folk medicine for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties. The association of the extract from P. heptaphyllum with nanotechnology was innovative for combining high technology with active ingredients that are easily accessible in the Amazon region. This study evaluated the effect of liposomes containing the ethyl acetate fraction of the crude extract of P. heptaphyllum leaves on obesity. Male Wistar rats treated with a high-calorie diet for 8 weeks to induce obesity received treatment with the liposome formulation containing P. heptaphyllum extract (1 mg/kg/day, via gavage) for 14 days. Morphological, metabolic, redox status, immunological, and histological parameters were evaluated in the adipose and liver tissue of the animals. The groups were divided as follows: C: control; P: liposomes containing extract; O: obese, and OP: obese + liposomes containing extract. The obesity model resulted in increases in body weight, caloric intake, body fat weight, and in the lipid profile. In adipose tissue, P decreased SOD (superoxide dismutase) activity in obese animals. In the liver, a positive modulation of the extract was observed in relation to glucose, amino acids, lactate, hepatoprotective action, and anti-inflammatory activity, with a decrease in interleukin 1β (IL-1β) in obese animals. The results showed an improvement in the functional and inflammatory aspects, but the treatment was not effective in alleviating general changes related to obesity, such as weight gain, fat, glucose, triglycerides, and inflammation in adipose tissue, highlighting the complexity of responses in different organs during obesity and treatment with P. heptaphyllum.

New whole-rock major and trace element geochemical, zircon U-Pb geochronological, and Hf isotopic data from gabbroic rocks in New Zealand’s mid-Permian Dun Mountain ophiolite belt (DMO) provide insight into the evolution of subduction systems and early stages of intraoceanic arc development. Fe-oxide-bearing gabbros yielded high εHf(t) values (+10.3 to +13) and zircon U-Pb ages of 271.6 ± 0.6 Ma. In contrast, Fe-Ti-oxide-bearing gabbros of 268.1 ± 0.6 Ma show more enriched geochemical characteristics, including a wide range of εHf(t) values (+15.5 to +6.8). New findings strengthen the evolutionary model for the DMO and place constraints on its youngest known magmatic episode. We infer that late magmatism fingerprinted by these gabbros, including consistent negative Nb-Ta anomalies, reflects early stages of arc development and formation of island arc tholeiites on the DMO. Our model is consistent with other existing regional geochronological and geochemical data, implying that the DMO had an early stage of normal-mid-ocean ridge basalt crustal accretion followed by an influx of slab-derived components and maturity of the subducting system between ca. 271.6 and 268 Ma. These results extend our understanding of the evolution of distinct intraoceanic systems.

This paper focuses on the exceptional results of the EU Study (Commission et al., 2022) to map the parameters, formats, standards, benchmarks and methodologies relating to the 3D digitisation of tangible cultural heritage (CH). The overall objective of our paper is to further the quality of the 3D digitisation process by enabling cultural heritage professionals, institutions, content developers, stakeholders and academics to define and produce high-quality digitisation standards and sustainable conservation models for the preservation, documentation, understanding, and accessibility of tangible cultural heritage assets. The aim is to achieve high quality results during the 2D and 3D recording process of CH tangible assets. This work identifies for the first time in this domain, key parameters of the digitisation process, estimated the relative complexity and how it is linked to technology, its impact on quality and its various factors. It also presents standards and formats used for 3D digitisation, including data types, data formats and metadata schemas for 3D structures within a holistic documentation approach. Finally, this work presents and describes all the features and parameters of the complexity and quality that influence the methodology and infrastructure to be used for high quality results regarding digital cultural heritage. These complexity and quality factors are illustrated in the form of radial charts with the corresponding relevant information at the end of the paper.

Smart Eye is a research project focused on developing and operating, in real-time, an innovative system, that allows the visualization of invisible, known, covered by the ground or by constructions, monuments and finds in an archaeological site, using an Augmented Reality (AR) environment. The visitors of an archaeological site will be able to observe the covered antiquities (3D models and descriptive information) on the screen of their mobile device (smart phone and/or tablet). The system integrates mobile positioning and pose estimation technologies, AR algorithms, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial databases. The AR application is implemented by IT scientists and is subsequently evaluated in the field to identify both technical problems (e.g. are files uploaded at high speed?) and problems identified by the average user of the AR application (e.g. would it be better if the button to display the 3D model of the archaeological excavation was larger on the screen or of a different color?). The paper will present, on one hand, the validation and evaluation protocols according to the relevant literature, and on the other, the exact evaluation methodology of the Smart Eye system. In addition, the problems identified and the way they were solved during the 1st evaluation of the application will be presented, as well as the problems identified during the 2nd evaluation.

DIGI-ORCH is a research project with objectives, on one hand, to design and develop "smart" brochures for concerts and educational programs of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki (Greece), and, on the other, to develop an innovative system for the visualization of information on smart mobile devices (smartphones and tablets). The application of Augmented Reality (AR) provides free access to the information and content of the above concerts and educational programs, combining the information of a robust data server and an easy-to-use user interface of the smart device in real-time.The pilot implementation of the system in real conditions took place at the beginning of December 2022, in an event held at the facilities of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. The event was an evening of Chamber Music entitled Musical Kaleidoscope, with the internationally acclaimed artists Simos Papanas (violin), Dimos Goundaroulis (violoncello), and Vassilis Varvaresos (piano). They performed the Piano Trio no. 3 in G minor, Robert Schumann's opus 110, and the Piano Trio no. 2 in E flat major, Op. 100 D. 929 by Franz Schubert. The concert was attended by over 150 attendees.The paper will present the chaîne-operatoire of the development of the system, from the acquisition of raw data (text, video, image, and sound) to the methodology used to produce the "smart" event brochure and the AR application for the above concert. Essentially, this large amount of information that cannot be assessed by a regular printed concert brochure is included in the smart system and displayed on the mobile device when the user locates the appropriate AR patterns on the surface of the analog concert poster and/or on the pages of the brochure.This information comprised of ie. additional text and images about the composers and their musical projects, about the musicians of the concert (e.g. biographies), their interviews and rehearsals (video) before the concert, information about the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki (text, video, image, and sound), 3D models of musical instruments, 360° of the concert space, etc. diverse multimedia material.

Although there are several attempts of embedding static content in events’ brochures and posters, the increasing need for flexibility and versatility of the content, leads to the development of a mobile application with an in-app dynamic content management system. In this context, DigiOrch is an ongoing research program where, a Content Management System is developed to organize all the digital material and maintain the appropriate connection to the analogical markers. Furthermore, a mobile application is developed that lev-erages this system using in app dynamic modules, which, by utilizing the augmented reality technology, presents multimedia data such as texts, photos, videos, and 3D Models to the end-user by “superimposing” them on mobile devices screen, providing extra additional information on any valid smart-leaflet.The overall workflow of the in-app Dynamic Content Management System (DCMS) can be described as a group of modules that managing and copying content files from a remote infrastructure such as an ftp server or a local resource if network is missing, to the mobile device’s file system.The in-app DCMS consists of 4 modules: The first module is the parser, which is responsible for reading a downloaded *.json file and creating content-linked objects. The second module is the download module which is responsible for downloading the overall content by iterating the content-linked objects, created by the previous module. The third module le is the update module that, by iterating the initial content file and the local file system, suggests whether a content update is necessary. The fourth module is the loading module, which is responsible for fetching the content on runtime to fill the content-holding components, such as 3D Models and UI photo galleries, of the AR scenes on runtime.

The selection of the optimal methodology for the 3D geometric documentation of cultural heritage is a subject of high concern in contemporary scientific research. As a matter of fact, it requires a multi-source data acquisition process and the fusion of datasets from different sensors. This paper aims to demonstrate the workflow for the proper implementation and integration of geodetic, photogrammetric and laser scanning techniques so that high-quality photorealistic 3D models and other documentation products can be generated for a complicated, large-dimensional architectural monument and its surroundings. As a case study, we present the monitoring of the Mehmet Bey Mosque, which is a landmark in the city of Serres and a significant remaining sample of the Ottoman architecture in Greece. The surveying campaign was conducted in the context of the 2022–2023 annual workshop of the Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies “Protection Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments” of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and it served as a geometric background for interdisciplinary cooperation and decision-making on the monument restoration process. The results of our study encourage the fusion of terrestrial laser scanning and photogrammetric datasets for the 3D modeling of the mosque, as they supplement each other as regards geometry and texture.

Abstract Background The incidence of the highly morbid and potentially lethal gangrenous cholecystitis was reportedly increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim of the ChoCO-W study was to compare the clinical findings and outcomes of acute cholecystitis in patients who had COVID-19 disease with those who did not. Methods Data were prospectively collected over 6 months (October 1, 2020, to April 30, 2021) with 1-month follow-up. In October 2020, Delta variant of SARS CoV-2 was isolated for the first time. Demographic and clinical data were analyzed and reported according to the STROBE guidelines. Baseline characteristics and clinical outcomes of patients who had COVID-19 were compared with those who did not. Results A total of 2893 patients, from 42 countries, 218 centers, involved, with a median age of 61.3 (SD: 17.39) years were prospectively enrolled in this study; 1481 (51%) patients were males. Há um grande interesse por parte das organizações pela adoção de práticas sustentáveis, visando melhorar o desempenho de suas cadeias de suprimentos. Regulamentos ambientais, consumo de recursos e descarte de resíduos são alguns dos fatores que podem influenciar na tomada de decisão quanto a contratação de fornecedores verdes. Este estudo ilustra o caso de um fabricante de implementos agrícolas do setor metal mecânico que busca implementar o gerenciamento da cadeia de suprimentos verdes (GSCM) e selecionar um fornecedor que atenda aos requisitos ambientais determinados. Portanto, o objetivo desta pesquisa consiste em avaliar o desempenho ambiental de três potenciais fornecedores por meio do método de tomada de decisão multicritério fuzzy TOPSIS e selecionar a melhor alternativa. Além disso, é realizada uma análise de sensibilidade para comprovar a robustez do método utilizado. O resultado mostra que o fornecedor A3 ocupa o primeiro lugar entre os três fornecedores avaliados, demonstrando um forte desempenho ambiental, sobretudo, em quatro critérios: parceiros ambientais, imagem verde, reciclagem e descarte de resíduos.

A literatura descreve que as habilidades sociais são reconhecidas como fator de proteção ao desenvolvimento humano. Por consequência, programas de treinamento de habilidades sociais têm sido considerados eficazes no aprimoramento de tais comportamentos e competências sociais. Esta revisão tem como objetivo avaliar os estudos de intervenção voltados ao contexto educacional no âmbito do Treinamento de Habilidades Sociais, publicados em periódicos nacionais e internacionais. Foram localizados um somatório total de 1.022 artigos utilizando os descritores "Social skills AND Training AND Teachers" nos bancos de dados SciELO, LILACS, EBSCO, PePSIC e PubMedD, sem delimitação de período de tempo. Depois de aplicados os critérios de inclusão e exclusão utilizando o método Prisma, restaram nove artigos, provenientes de diferentes países. Os resultados indicaram a escassez de estudos voltados ao cenário escolar tendo o professor como foco. Além disso, no que se refere aos estudos nacionais, estão vinculados a alguns grupos de pesquisa, existem poucos instrumentos específicos e não foram focados em habilidades sociais educativas. No entanto, os estudos analisados apresentam contribuições em termos da caracterização do repertório de habilidades sociais e propõem intervenções no âmbito educacional.

Here we show the SAVEMEDCOASTS-2 web-based geographic information system (webGIS) that supports land planners and decision makers in considering the ongoing impacts of Relative Sea Level Rise (RSLR) when formulating and prioritizing climate-resilient adaptive pathways for the Mediterranean coasts. The webGIS was developed within the framework of the SAVEMEDCOASTS and SAVEMEDCOASTS-2 projects, funded by the European Union, which respond to the need to protect people and assets from natural disasters along the Mediterranean coasts that are vulnerable to the combined effects of Sea Level Rise (SLR) and Vertical Land Movements (VLM). The geospatial data include available or new high-resolution Digital Terrain Models (DTM), bathymetric data, rates of VLM, and multi-temporal coastal flooding scenarios for 2030, 2050, and 2100 with respect to 2021, as a consequence of RSLR. The scenarios are derived from the 5th Assessment Report (AR5) provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and encompass different Representative Concentration Pathways (RCP2.6 and RCP8.5) for climate projections. The webGIS reports RSLR scenarios that incorporate the temporary contribution of both the highest astronomical tides (HAT) and storm surges (SS), which intensify risks to the coastal infrastructure, local community, and environment.

The Capiru Group is a Neoproterozoic metasedimentary unit that crops out in the Curitiba terrane, Southern Ribeira Belt, Brazil. A detailed geological mapping of this unit was performed during 2016 to 2020. Original interpretations and the new geological map were compiled and integrated with the past field data of the state (MINEROPAR) and national (CPRM) geological surveys, and to unpublished and recent published studies. This compilation represents the most updated synthesis of the Capiru Group, and provides the basis for recognition and individualization of lithostratigraphic units. The lithostratigraphic units reflect depositional/tectonic events, which involved: a) passive continental margin deposition on the Curitiba microplate, b) compressional episodes during the Brasiliano - Pan African Orogeny (Late Neoproterozoic), c) extensional processes that followed the collision stage (Cambrian), and finally, the d) extensional tectonics related to the Gondwana break-up during the Lower Cretaceous, that culminated to the Proto-Atlantic Ocean opening.

The Smart Eye Application is an augmented reality app for mobile devices that enables the in-situ 3D visualization of underground and inaccessible to the public archaeological sites and monuments. Accessibility to excavated archaeological sites and monuments is often hindered for reasons of preservation or urban development. Portable finds are transferred and, in some cases, exhibited in local museums, but the non-portable remains of ancient structures become eventually effaced from the landscape and the collective memory of local communities. The Smart Eye app provides an “x-ray” type view of excavation sites that have been backfilled and are now invisible. While common practice in heritage sites’ digital dissemination to the general public uses 2D or 3D reconstructions in augmented or virtual reality environments, the Smart Eye app presents archaeological remains in the shape and form they were found in by archaeologists supplemented with augmented reality markers that provide simplified textual and visual information aimed toward a non-scholarly public. The aim is to re-instate these heritage sites into the interactive relationship that people have with their landscape and their history. The present paper discusses the chaîne-opératoire of developing the app, from the acquisition of primary documentation data of the excavation sites to the methodology used for the production of the 3D models of the archaeological sites and the development of the app itself and the technical equipment used. Finally, we discuss the results of the preliminary evaluation of the application and future steps to improve it before final testing by the local communities where the archaeological sites are located.

A infrequência, evasão e o abandono escolar se apresentam como um problema social apoiado em legislações que regulamentam a universalização do acesso escolar. A presente pesquisa tem como meta identificar as representações sociais que um estudante, com histórico de infrequência escolar, possui a respeito da escola e de quanto essas significações contribuíram com o fortalecimento ou enfraquecimento de seu vínculo escolar. Para tanto, foi participante do estudo um adolescente do primeiro ano do ensino médio, com idade de 16 anos. Foram utilizados, como instrumento de coleta de dados, um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada, desenho livre, diário de campo e observação livre. A análise das informações foi realizada baseando-se na proposta de Creswell da qual derivaram três temas: (a) a infrequência escolar como coadjuvante de um contexto; (b) o resgate das potencialidades virtuosas: um olhar para a singularidade e (c) escola como um lugar de fortalecimento das potencialidades virtuosas. Os resultados encontrados nesse estudo indicaram que a escola foi representada pelo estudante de forma distinta de acordo com cada vivência escolar. Este artigo teve como objetivo identificar aspectos positivos e aspectos a serem melhorados nas relações entre o Núcleo de Inovação Tecnológica de um campus do Instituto Federal Farroupilha, no Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul, com atores da Hélice Quádrupla, no contexto do desenvolvimento regional. Como metodologia de coleta de dados, utilizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica sobre as temáticas e entrevistas com representantes das quatro hélices do município – universidade, empresa, governo e sociedade. Como metodologia de análise e interpretação de dados, utilizou-se análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciaram aspectos positivos quanto à infraestrutura e profissionais qualificados, e aspectos a serem melhorados quanto às conexões e relações do NIT com as instituições da Hélice Quádrupla. Conclui-se que, para que o NIT contribua com as instituições e o desenvolvimento regional, torna-se fundamental uma mudança cultural, para prover um maior conhecimento e reformulações nos processos e dinâmicas que envolvem o NIT e as quatro hélices. Abstract: This article aimed to identify positive aspects and aspects to be improved in the relations between the Technological Innovation Center of a campus of the Instituto Federal Farroupilha, in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, with Quadruple Helix actors, in the context of regional development. As ua data collection methodology, bibliographic research was used on the themes and interviews with representatives of the four helices of the municipality - university, company, government and society. As a methodology for data analysis and interpretation, content analysis was used. The results showed positive aspects regarding the infrastructure and qualified professionals, and aspects to be improved regarding the connections and relationships of the NIT with the Quadruple Helix institutions. It is concluded that, for the NIT to contribute to institutions and regional development, a cultural change is essential, to provide greater knowledge and reformulations in the processes and dynamics that involve the NIT and the four helices.

Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technology offers novel and excited experiences to visitors of cultural sites. Extended recent technological advances in smart communication devices made the connection of the real to the virtual worlds more affordable and effective. In spite of the rapid development and availability of the AR/VR applications to cultural heritage, there still exist gaps and challenges in accurate positioning and navigation of visitors’ smart devices in both out-doors archaeological spaces as well as in in-doors museum spaces. Recent technology smart devices embody GNSS positioning sensors, which in best cases, provide 1-meter positioning accuracies in open spaces, while are unable to work in-doors. Such accuracies and restrictions lead to gaps in fetching visitor’s position in AR environments and mis-positions with regard to the rest AR/VR objects as visualized in smart screens, while the problem gets worse when dealing with real-time videoing, when elapse times and refresh rates lead to additional mispositionings. In this paper, effort is made to present and evaluate the most recent and widely used tools for positioning and navigation of smart devices in in- and out-doors CH sites.

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) technology is widespread in countless archaeological sites and a variety of applications. Archaeological excavations lead to archaeological finds, some of which are transported for preservation and then for exhibition in museums (jewelry, vases, etc.), while another part of them is documented in detail and remains in situ (eg building walls), roads, grave covers, etc.). However, after the registration of the archaeological finds, it is impossible to observe them. As part of our research project, we will develop for the first time AR methodology and procedures for the observation of covered archaeological finds on mobile devices (smart phones, tablets), which were registered after their documentation. AR technology in recent years has seen great growth in terms of implementation platforms and available software, as well as the tools developed to support it. These tools either make their appearance in the form of frameworks, extending the capabilities of an existing engine, or function as independent services. At the same time, progress has been made in the field of sensors of mobile devices, which makes the compatibility of hardware and software another issue to be researched. As part of the development of the above application for mobile devices, an evaluation is made of the most widespread AR Frameworks that support the Unity3d Game Engine and the compatibility / interoperability with the sensors of different categories of mobile devices. The frameworks were checked and evaluated for placement and tracking of the positions of the 3D covered objects. In this paper also, methodologies and techniques used in space detection and tracking are presented and evaluated.

The Conservation and the Restoration of Cultural Heritage is a particularly specialized and interdisciplinary process. It requires scientific monitoring and planning and incorporation of skills and knowledge in the academic milieu. Relevant studies programs and courses are primarily designed to explore the possibility of cooperation between scientists (archaeologists, architects, surveyors, engineers etc.). Participating in such an educational institution (Interdepartmental Program of Postgraduate Studies “Protection, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments”, AUTh, Greece), the development of a protocol for a GIS related to the restoration of cultural heritage buildings and sites through documentation stage was born out of necessity.Α GIS application including the documentation (geometric, architectural, structural etc.) of the historical complex of Saint John, the Baptist (19th century, Kavala, Greece), while using modern 3D representational techniques (laser scanner, topography, photogrammetry, GPS), and the related thematic information (analysis, archive data) has been organized for that purpose and has been used as a case study.The main objectives of the project are to give guidelines regarding the collection, the processing and the management of heritage data, to articulate the cross-disciplinary collaboration/synergy and to provide an educational toolkit. The methodology is proposed to be applied to other objects of study such as archaeological sites, individual structures, monuments and sites of different dating and use (e.g., industrial, religious, fortification etc.).

Nowadays, there are many methods and techniques for the documentation and the restoration of historic structures and historical artifacts that are commonly used due to their completeness, accuracy and fastness. The use of advanced 3D measurement technologies, by either using terrestrial or aerial means of acquiring digital data, has become an efficient and reliable documentation tool. Within this context, this study focuses on combining terrestrial laser scanning, unmanned aerial vehicle photogrammetry, close-range photogrammetry and topographic surveying, and comparing the associated digital data for archaeological fieldwork documentation. The data collected during the Thessaloniki Toumba Excavation (Greece) provided accurate digital surface models and photo-realistic three-dimensional outputs of archaeological trenches. The data elaboration enabled new inferences and knowledge to be gained through the implementation of advanced technologies in heritage documentation.

Este estudo relata duas ações denominadas “Rodas de Conversa”, desenvolvidas a partir de projeto de extensão em andamento, com ênfase na promoção de saúde mental docente durante a pandemia da Covid-19. As rodas on-line foram realizadas em duas escolas de ensino fundamental, uma pública e outra privada, de duas cidades do Rio Grande do Sul. Os relatos dos(as) docentes foram registrados em diário de campo e analisados conforme as três etapas do processo de análise de conteúdo categorial temática de Bardin. A análise resultou em três categorias e a sua interpretação baseou-se na literatura publicada até o momento sobre Covid-19, trabalho docente e saúde mental. Os resultados apontam dificuldades dos(as) docentes com relação à configuração de ensino remoto, sobrecarga pela intensificação do trabalho e relatos de sintomas de ansiedade e estresse. Com relação às ações do projeto, destaca-se a importância de espaços de acolhimento e escuta das demandas docentes. Salienta-se a necessidade de intervenções que visem à prevenção e a promoção de saúde mental dos(as) professores(as), principalmente nesse contexto.

Objetivou-se analisar a percepção dos trabalhadores de um Hospital de Caridade de município do noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul - Brasil em relação aos fatores motivacionais da escala Multidimensional Work Motivation Scale (MWMS). Através de uma pesquisa de campo, estabeleceu-se uma amostra de 63 entrevistados, articulada com a observação direta e a busca de documentos. Os dados foram analisados com técnicas da estatística descritiva. Os resultados obtidos pelas médias mostram que os funcionários consideram a Motivação Autônoma, que é representada pelos fatores Regulação Identificada e Motivação Intrínseca, onde estes profissionais identificam seus valores pessoais com o seu trabalho e motivam-se por situações intrínsecas à sua realidade.

O que se pensa e o que se fala sobre o feminismo é relevante para compreender os fatores que influenciam em sua adesão por parte da sociedade. Este estudo teve o intuito de investigar as representações sociais de feminismo em brasileiros/as e variáveis associadas. Participaram do estudo 731 brasileiros/as com idades de 18 a 79 anos, a maior parte do gênero feminino (78%). Por meio de um questionário online, foi apresentada uma ficha de dados sociodemográficos e duas vinhetas: Vinheta Um (mãe, feminista e negra) e Vinheta Dois (universitária, antifeminista e branca). A análise de dados deu-se por meio de estatística descritiva e comparação entre grupos pelo teste U de Mann-Whitney e Kruskal-Wallis. A amostra total indicou que pessoas mais velhas, com filhos e com alguma religião atribuíram características mais positivas à Vinheta Dois. A amostra do gênero feminino atribuiu características mais positivas a Vinheta Um. Variáveis como a escolaridade, renda e áreas de conhecimento não apresentaram diferenças estatisticamente significativas no que diz respeito à atribuição de características às vinhetas.

Cultural heritage is a testimony of past human activity, and, as such, cultural objects exhibit great variety in their nature, size, and complexity, from small artefacts and museum items to cultural landscapes, and from historic buildings and ancient monuments to city centers and archaeological sites. Cultural heritage around the globe suffers from wars, natural disasters, and human negligence. More specifically, cultural goods and artefacts are put at risk through several anthropogenic actions: Anthropogenic threats take various dimensions, ranging from theft from museums, private collections, and religious buildings, smuggling of and illicit trade in cultural goods, the irremediable looting and demolition of archaeological sites by clandestine excavators, or simply neglect of heritage sites. Illicit trading has expanded dramatically recently, especially in areas affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters, either aiming at destroying collective memory and dismembering people’s identity or mostly motivated by the pursuit of profit. Moreover, the illicit trafficking of cultural goods contributes to the funding of terrorism, organized crime, and money laundering. The mission of ENIGMA, a EUR 4 million EU funded project, is to achieve excellence in the protection of cultural goods and artefacts from man-made threats by contributing to their identification, traceability, and provenance research, as well as by safeguarding and monitoring endangered heritage sites. ENIGMA objectives are designed to help the involved stakeholders better respond to this complex and multi-dimensional problem and leverage active collaboration by fostering and enabling interlinking of databases, and evidence-based deployment of preventative measures.

Without additional prior information, the pose of a camera estimated with computer vision techniques is expressed in a local coordinate frame attached to the camera’s initial location. Albeit sufficient in many cases, such an arbitrary representation is not convenient for employment in certain applications and has to be transformed to a coordinate system external to the camera before further use. Assuming a camera that is firmly mounted on a moving platform, this paper describes a method for continuously tracking the pose of that camera in a projected coordinate system. By combining exterior orientation from a known target with incremental pose changes inferred from accurate multi-GNSS positioning, the full 6 DoF pose of the camera is updated with low processing overhead and without requiring the continuous visual tracking of ground control points. Experimental results of applying the proposed method to a moving vehicle and a mobile port crane are reported, demonstrating its efficacy and potential.

In recent years advances in Earth Observation (EO) have increased our ability to inventory, monitor, and understand Earth’s natural and artificial ecosystems. In particular, recent technological developments in the instrument characteristics of the remote sensing systems enabled large-scale usage of EO in environmental governance and protection. Remote sensing can be a potent tool employed in the field of environmental compliance. However, to extract and distribute relevant information to potential stakeholders, simple, yet efficient and robust approaches are needed. The focus of our research is the development of EO algorithms and the corresponding EO processing chains that could be used operationally for providing cost-efficient information to end-users to address environmental compliance and tackle environmental violations over specific thematic domains using freely available Copernicus data. The EO algorithms and the relevant EO processing chains have been developed as part of the EU-H2020 funded project: “EnviroLENS-Copernicus for environmental law enforcement support” where the demonstration area of our approach is in the Montenegro – Albania border. The case considers several sites along the border to Albania, from the coastal area of Velika Plaža to the North Lake Skadar National Park. All sites have been designated in the past as protected areas, due to their rich biodiversity and threatened habitats. The focus of this contribution is on the deforestation detection processing chain. The developed EO processing chains rely on the use and analysis of multi-temporal Sentinel-2 images, while it adopts an object-based perspective for detecting, quantifying, and mapping potential environmental violations.

Objetivou-se verificar a correlação entre ser vítima de bullying, ter sintomas depressivos, de ansiedade, de estresse e ideação suicida em adolescentes. Além disso, foi identificado se havia diferença nos construtos investigados, por gênero e idade. Estudo quantitativo transversal, do qual participaram 117 adolescentes. Utilizaram-se os instrumentos: questionário so-ciodemográfico, Escala Califórnia de Vitimização do Bullying, Escala de Depressão, Ansiedade e Estresse, e Escala Beck de Suicídio. As análises foram realizadas por meio de estatística descritiva, correlação de Spearman e teste U de Mann-Whitney. Os resultados indicam que 48,71 % da amostra apresenta ideação suicida. Houve correlação positiva entre ser vítima de bullying e ter sintomas depressivos, ansiedade e estresse, e ser vítima e ter ideação suicida. As meninas apresen-tam mais sintomas de estresse do que os meninos, e adolescentes mais novos são mais vítimas de bullying do que os mais velhos. Destaca-se, assim, a relevância da discussão desse tema, tanto nas escolas quanto nas famílias, a fim de diminuir o sofrimento psíquico das vítimas.

O trabalho com os pais pode ser uma forma de intervenção do psicólogo escolar. O intuito é contribuir para a melhora na relação família e escola e, desta forma, auxiliar no comportamento e no desempenho escolar dos alunos. Este trabalho tem como objetivo descrever e discutir uma intervenção em grupo com pais de alunos de ensino fundamental realizado durante o Estágio Básico I e II em Psicologia. Foram realizados cinco encontros com pais/cuidadores em espaço cedido pela escola. Os mesmos ocorreram com frequência quinzenal e duração aproximada de uma hora e meia cada encontro. Nos encontros foram trabalhados temas demandados pela escola e pelos pais, a saber: objetivos da família e da escola; educação dos filhos e bullying. Os pais não tiveram assiduidade nos encontros. No entanto, o grupo possibilitou um início de aproximação entre família e escola.

O presente estudo teve como objetivo verificar a correlação e associação entre desempenho escolar e a percepção de responsividade e exigência parental em adolescentes. Além disso, verificou-se diferenças por sexo e faixa etária nos construtos investigados. Participaram 432 adolescentes, 57% do sexo feminino de idades entre 15 e 18 anos (M = 16,32; DP = 0,86). Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo, transversal, de caráter descritivo e correlacional. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de questionário sociodemográfico, médias nas notas escolares e Escala de Responsividade e Exigência parental. Análises descritivas, correlação de Spearman, teste U de Mann-Whitney Qui-quadrado foram realizados. No geral, houve correlação significativa e negativa entre desempenho escolar e exigência materna, além de correlação positiva entre responsividade materna, paterna e desempenho escolar. Apenas no desempenho escolar houve diferenças estatisticamente significativas por faixa etária, tendo os adolescentes mais novos, maior desempenho escolar. Os pais foram classificados, em sua maioria, como negligentes, seguido de autoritativos/competentes. A classificação entre alto e baixo desempenho escolar com os estilos parentais não demonstrou diferenças estatisticamente significativas. Embora as estratégias educativas tenham papel significativo no desempenho escolar, outros fatores estão associados a ele, devendo ser investigados.

Introdução: O carcinoma espinocelular (CEC) é o segundo tumor maligno mais frequente da epiderme. Quando localizado na região labial, pode representar um grande desafio para a reconstrução, pois se localiza no centro do terço inferior da face, o que faz com que as cicatrizes e distorções labiais afetem negativamente a qualidade de vida de pessoas. Objetivos e Métodos: Relatam-se dois casos de CEC em lábio inferior reconstruídos com retalho de Gilles associado à zetaplastia. Resultados e Conclusões: Em ambos os casos, o resultado foi satisfatório, com resolução do tumor, ausência de microstomia, preservação da funcionalidade e boa aceitação estética.

When defining indicators on the environment, the use of existing initiatives should be a priority rather than redefining indicators each time. From an Information, Communication and Technology perspective, data interoperability and standardization are critical to improve data access and exchange as promoted by the Group on Earth Observations. GEOEssential is following an end-user driven approach by defining Essential Variables (EVs), as an intermediate value between environmental policy indicators and their appropriate data sources. From international to local scales, environmental policies and indicators are increasingly percolating down from the global to the local agendas. The scientific business processes for the generation of EVs and related indicators can be formalized in workflows specifying the necessary logical steps. To this aim, GEOEssential is developing a Virtual Laboratory the main objective of which is to instantiate conceptual workflows, which are stored in a dedicated knowledge base, generating executable workflows. To interpret and present the relevant outputs/results carried out by the different thematic workflows considered in GEOEssential (i.e. biodiversity, ecosystems, extractives, night light, and food-water-energy nexus), a Dashboard is built as a visual front-end. This is a valuable instrument to track progresses towards environmental policies.

Habilidades sociais (HS) podem ser compreendidas como classes de comportamentos no repertório do indivíduo para lidar de maneira adequada com as situações interpessoais, sendo um construto teórico vinculado ao modelo comportamental. Este estudo tem por objetivo relatar a experiência de um estágio curricular em Psicologia que teve foco no desenvolvimento de habilidades sociais em 32 estudantes, sendo 12 alunos de Ensino Médio e 20 de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). O intuito dos grupos foi promover habilidades comunicacionais mais eficazes e prevenir conflitos. Foram realizados seis encontros, um por semana com cada turma, no turno da noite, com a duração média de 45 minutos cada encontro. As intervenções foram por meio de diálogos, utilização de recursos audiovisuais, dinâmicas e dramatizações. A partir das intervenções propostas, buscou-se possibilitar o desenvolvimento de comportamentos mais assertivos dos alunos em sala de aula, por meio da expressão de seus pensamentos e sentimentos de forma clara, preservando os direitos dos outros e sem prejudicar aos seus próprios direitos, a fim de diminuir os conflitos e melhorar as relações interpessoais. Os resultados apontaram para a melhoria das relações interpessoais no ambiente escolar, conforme observação do comportamento e relato dos próprios alunos e professores.

Internal migration has replaced fertility and mortality as the primary demographic process shaping the spatial distribution of populations within countries. While a rich comparative literature has examined the intensity, composition and spatial impacts of population movement in Europe, the spatial structure of internal migration flows is less well understood. We present a flow map of internal migration flows within 38 European countries using the most recent data available. The graphic reveals the major role of national capital cities in the internal migration system, and an array of distinctive patterns of internal migration fostering population concentration in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, and population deconcentration in Western and Southern Europe.

La autoeficacia se refiere a las creencias que cada individuo tiene acerca de sus propias capacidades para ejecutar una tarea, mientras que la motivación para aprender se considera un constructo de notoria importancia debido a que estimula al individuo a realizar sus tareas. Teniendo en cuenta estos dos conceptos, el objetivo de este estudio fue identificar la correlación entre la autoeficacia y la motivación intrínseca y extrínseca en adolescentes por medio de un análisis de las posibles diferencias en las medias por género y por franjas etarias adolescentes de 14 a 16 años y de 17 a 19 años. En total, participaron 296 adolescentes de 14 a 19 años (M = 16.03; DE = .96) 57 % de género femenino, estudiantes de educación media de escuelas públicas (66 %) y privadas (34 %). Específicamente, se utilizó una ficha de datos sociodemográficos, la Escala de Autoeficacia General Percibida (EAGP) y la Escala de Motivación para Aprender (EMA-EM), instrumentos con los que se realizó un análisis de correlación de Pearson y el test t de Student para muestras independientes. Como resultados, se observó una correlación positiva entre la autoeficacia y la motivación intrínseca, una correlación negativa entre la autoeficacia y la motivación extrínseca, medias más altas para la motivación intrínseca en las mujeres y para la motivación extrínseca en los hombres, y medias más altas en autoeficacia en los hombres. No se encontraron diferencias estadísticamente significativas entre las franjas etarias. Con esto, resulta fundamental establecer estrategias para las escuelas que tengan en cuenta que la autoeficacia y la motivación pueden interferir en el proceso de aprendizaje de los adolescentes.

Background The SARS-CoV-2019 pandemic and the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) virus, made us use various sources of health information available on different digital platforms on the Internet, thus brought in front side issues related to health literacy (HL). People using digital information platforms not always have the ability to adequate evaluate the acquired health information. Even more IT professionals are often engaged in systems development, where their ability to provide the system with reliable, checked input as for example training data and information is crucial. Namely this makes IT students, as future professionals, health literacy important case for study. Methods For the purpose a Questionnaire developed by Dadaczynski, K., Okan, O. & Rathmann, K. in 2020 as COVID-19 Health Literacy Survey: University Students (COVID-HL Survey), and the respective Scale Documentation under the Public Health Centre Fulda (PHZF) at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences & Interdisciplinary Centre for Health Literacy Research at Bielefeld University, was used. The main goals are to assess digital HL of university students; explore the different digital sources of information students consult when seeking for COVID-19 information; capture student’s future time perspective/worries; and also assess students Sense of Coherence under this health situation. Findings Most (roughly above 60%) of respondents indicated that it was easy to search, acquire, evaluate reliability, and determine relevance for health information related to COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2019, and other related topics. Immersive the amount of students (above 85%) that crosscheck acquired health information in both English and Bulgarian languages. As for the various possibilities of how to get information about the coronavirus and related topics on the Internet, the respondents indicate most often they use search engines (e.g. Google, Bing, Yahoo!), followed by official Health portals (for example, the Bulgarian unified information portal, the current news – Ministry of Health, and the Regional Health Inspectorate). Conclusions The preliminary results so far show that most of the students of the current sample reported high HL. May be their ability to crosscheck health information explains their satisfaction regarding to this information. Young people as the students in Sofia University trust modern digital platforms, but also have a high rated opinion for the official heath authorities in the country, including the developed Bulgarian unified information portal, the Ministry of Health, and the Regional Health Inspectorate web pages. The study is still ongoing. More results and discussion should follow the responses acquisition completion.

O presente artigo teve como objetivo analisar o Distrito Industrial Felipe Streich de Santa Rosa – RS, seu papel no desenvolvimento e as formas de relacionamento entre os atores que o compõe, proporcionando a inovação, incluindo a abordagem da Quádrupla Hélice. Classifica-se como pesquisa aplicada, de campo, pesquisa qualitativa e descritiva. Como resultados, constatou-se que o distrito gera economia externa ao promover especializações nos serviços ofertados pelas empresas, também participa do desenvolvimento da cidade de Santa Rosa – RS ao gerar retornos econômicos e sociais. Percebeu-se falta de envolvimento conjunto dos atores. Este estudo contribui ao evidenciar a necessidade dos empresários em inovarem no processo produtivo de suas organizações, implantando elementos da indústria 4.0 e de que para isso devem ampliar a interação entre os atores. Este trabalho comprova os estudos que afirmam que universidades promovem inovações nas empresas, com suporte do governo e da comunidade, proporcionando o desenvolvimento local e regional. ABSTRACT: This paper aimed to analyze the Felipe Streich Industrial District of Santa Rosa - RS, in Brazil, its role in development and the forms of relationship between the actors that compose it, providing innovation, including the approach of Quádrupla Hélice. It is classified as applied research, field research, qualitative and descriptive research. As a result, it was found that the district generates external economy by promoting specialization in the services offered by companies, it also participates in the development of the city of Santa Rosa - RS by generating economic and social returns. A lack of joint involvement of the actors was noticed. This study contributes by highlighting the need for entrepreneurs to innovate in the productive process of their organizations, implementing elements of industry 4.0 and that for this they must expand the interaction between actors. This work proves the studies that state that universities promote innovations in companies, with support from the government and the community, providing local and regional development.

Machine harvesting is an essential step of crop production, considering a dynamic operation, and is subject to losses due to several factors that affect its quality. The objective of this study was to evaluate the quality of mechanized peanut pickers in the three soil tillage operations using Statistical Quality Control (SQC) tools. We conducted the experiments in a peanut field located at 21°20′23″ S and 47°54′06″ W of Brazilian peanut farmers. We used Statistic Control Quality (SQC) experimental design to monitor peanut losses during machine harvesting. The treatments evaluated were three soil tillage operations: conventional (CT), rotary tillers (RT), and hoe (RH). The quality indicators were collected inside the picker’s bulk tank. Statistical analyses used were descriptive statistics and SQC tools (run charts, control charts, and the Ishikawa diagram). The process was considered stable for indicators: whole pods (CT, RT, and RH), broken pods (CT, RT, and RH), and hatched pods (CT, RT, and RH), while the other indicators showed points that were out of control. With the application of SQC tools, it was possible to identify the factors that caused the increase of variability in peanut harvesting, listing the points to be improved to support decision-making, always aiming to increase this operation’s quality.

Τhe synthesis of a series of novel hybrid block copolypeptides based on poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO), poly(l-histidine) (PHis) and poly(l-cysteine) (PCys) is presented. The synthesis of the terpolymers was achieved through a ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of the corresponding protected N-carboxy anhydrides of Nim-Trityl-l-histidine and S-tert-butyl-l-cysteine, using an end-amine-functionalized poly(ethylene oxide) (mPEO-NH2) as macroinitiator, followed by the deprotection of the polypeptidic blocks. The topology of PCys was either the middle block, the end block or was randomly distributed along the PHis chain. These amphiphilic hybrid copolypeptides assemble in aqueous media to form micellar structures, comprised of an outer hydrophilic corona of PEO chains, and a pH- and redox-responsive hydrophobic layer based on PHis and PCys. Due to the presence of the thiol groups of PCys, a crosslinking process was achieved further stabilizing the nanoparticles (NPs) formed. Dynamic light scattering (DLS), static light scattering (SLS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) were utilized to obtain the structure of the NPs. Moreover, the pH and redox responsiveness in the presence of the reductive tripeptide of glutathione (GSH) was investigated at the empty as well as the loaded NPs. The ability of the synthesized polymers to mimic natural proteins was examined by Circular Dichroism (CD), while the study of zeta potential revealed the “stealth” properties of NPs. The anticancer drug doxorubicin (DOX) was efficiently encapsulated in the hydrophobic core of the nanostructures and released under pH and redox conditions that simulate the healthy and cancer tissue environment. It was found that the topology of PCys significantly altered the structure as well as the release profile of the NPs. Finally, in vitro cytotoxicity assay of the DOX-loaded NPs against three different breast cancer cell lines showed that the nanocarriers exhibited similar or slightly better activity as compared to the free drug, rendering these novel NPs very promising materials for drug delivery applications.

Abstract The objective of this study was to verify the correlation between school performance and symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress in 432 public school students aged from 15 to 18 years. The instruments used were a sociodemographic datasheet, Escala de Depressão, Ansiedade e Estresse (EDAE-A), and the grades in the courses/areas of interest of three school trimesters. Descriptive analyses, as well as the Mann-Whitney U test and Spearman's correlation test, were conducted. A weak and negative correlation was found between school performance and anxiety and depression symptoms, with the adolescents from full-time schools presenting better performance and fewer symptoms of depression and anxiety than those in regular schools. Younger adolescents presented more stress symptoms, while female adolescents have more depression and anxiety symptoms.

A produção de soja tem um papel determinante no desenvolvimento agrícola brasileiro, sendo reconhecida como a commodity mais importante para o agronegócio do país e caracterizada por um processo produtivo exigente, para além das questões econômicas tradicionais. Este artigo objetiva analisar as perspectivas sociais e ambientais da produção de soja, de acordo com a percepção do produtor. Trata-se de um estudo quantitativo e que teve aplicação de questionário à produtores de soja do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul/Brasil. A análise estatística descritiva e multivariada demonstra que no geral há responsabilidade socioambiental nesta atividade produtiva, contudo, se entende que esses índices podem ser aperfeiçoados especialmente a partir da conscientização e maior aderência a legislação.

Resumo Trabalhos recentes têm mostrado uma falta de integração entre o mercado do produtor e o varejo na cadeia produtiva da carne suína. Uma solução para amenizar esse entrave poderia ser feito por meio da estratégia de hedge dinâmico com o modelo Garch-DCC, que permitiria gerenciar as decisões de compra e venda diariamente. Nesse sentido, o objetivo do trabalho foi verificar se o modelo contribui eficientemente com os ajustes de preços diários entre os mercados em comparação ao modelo de regressão linear, fornecendo subsídios aos produtores para se protegerem das oscilações dos preços na cadeia, diminuindo o risco contra grandes variações de preços. Para isso, foi analisado o período de 03/01/2011 a 27/08/2015, em que foram extraídas 1.156 observações para análise. Como resultado, a estratégia de hedge pelo modelo Garch-DCC apresenta melhor desempenho em comparação com a realizada pela Regressão Linear na redução das oscilações do mercado. Com isso, este trabalho encontrou uma abertura para a integração nas percepções e nos processos de negociação desse mercado em análise.

Climate change and increase of extreme weather events, besides the numerous consequences, affect significantly and put in risk the agriculture sectors. Natural disasters, such as floods and wildfires, are responsible for a great loss in agriculture production. National governments together with international bodies make an important effort to cooperate towards the response and resilience when a disaster occurs. In this frame the European Earth Observation Programme - Copernicus provides a series of observation data, in-situ measurements and services related, amongst others, to different types of disasters. Concerning the availability of this big volume of observation data, the aim of DiAS (Disaster and Agriculture Sentinel Applications) project is to revise the existing knowledge on remote sensing methods for mapping the extent of natural and/or man-made disaster over agricultural areas and propose improvements. The developed methodology will be implemented in a Decision Support System (DSS), which will be freely available and easy-to-use by non-experts. In this paper, the developed methodology focuses on mapping floods over agricultural areas. Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 imagery are used as input information for the comparison analysis before and after the event. The reference for results’ evaluation is the corresponding information delivered by Copernicus Emergency Management Service (EMS). Although, the evaluation results are in good agreement when they could be used, a reference of higher accuracy is needed in order to estimate accurately the quality of the output products.

As agroindústrias familiares vêm sendo consideradas por vários autores como importante alternativa de reprodução para a agricultura de base familiar. A eficácia dessa atividade tem levado os governos a discutir e implantar políticas públicas que propiciem a formalização desses empreendimentos e que ampliem o seu mercado de comercialização. Dessa forma, o objetivo deste estudo consiste em identificar o perfil das agroindústrias familiares do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, que usam o selo Sabor Gaúcho em seus produtos, e verificar a possível influência da Política Estadual da Agroindústria Familiar (Peaf) no funcionamento e desenvolvimento desses empreendimentos na percepção dos gestores. O estudo caracterizou-se como quantitativo e foi realizado com 128 agroindústrias familiares do Rio Grande do Sul (RS). A partir dos resultados obtidos, é possível concluir que, nas agroindústrias familiares (AFs) analisadas, o uso do selo Sabor Gaúcho e a participação no Peaf têm uma importância significativa no funcionamento e desenvolvimento e até na concepção de alguns empreendimentos, que nasceram a partir dos incentivos desse programa.

The strengthening of actions in school psychology, via consulting, is related to the historical development of this specialty in the country, since it did not achieve its legalized placement in public schools, but its activity remains restricted to private schools. This article describes the initial actions developed in the extension project “Consultancy in School Psychology: intervention proposal in school complaints”, linked to a University of the interior of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The actions included the identification of the complaints in the schools of the city and the development of intervention actions planned from the identified demands, such as groups with students and teachers. In addition, through a report with the identified school complaints, future interventions could be proposed within the Municipal Education Department team. Extension actions provided a new look at school experiences as complaints could be understood beyond the individual treatment and family interventions already performed by the School Psychology team in the city. From the practices developed, the actions of the extension project started to compose an alternative for the referrals made by the School Psychology team of the Municipal Education Department.
