ObjectiveTo explore the ultrasound characteristics of accessory cavitated uterine malformation (ACUM) and the causes of misdiagnosis, in order to better understand the disease and improve the diagnostic ability of radiologists.MethodsWe retrospectively collected clinical, pathological and imaging data of ACUM patients who were diagnosed after surgery at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from December2013 to December 2023. Besides, we analyzed ultrasound features of ACUM and the cause of misdiagnosis.ResultsA total of 11 patients were included, with a mean age of diagnosis of (27.1±7.4)years. There was a mean interval of (6.1±5.5)years between menarche and onset of dysmenorrhea. Preoperative ultrasound showed that ACUM appeared as solitary lesions located under the insertion of the round ligament, with a mean maximum diameter of (3.0±1.0)cm. Lesions were round or oval (90.9%, 10/11) and not connected to the uterine cavity (100%, 11/11) with clear boundaries (72.7%, 8/11), presenting as regular thick-walled cystic-solid structures. Cystic areas were observed within the mass (100%, 11/11) with a ground-glass-like appearance (90.9%, 10/11) and hyperechoic endometrial lining (90.9%, 10/11). The surrounding of the mass showed hypoechoic or isoechoic areas resembling the muscular layer and circular or semi-circular vascularity was detected around the mass. No adenomyosis or other uterine lesions were found. Analysis of misdiagnosis: Among the 11 ACUM cases, 6 were correctly diagnosed by the initial ultrasound examination, and 5 cases by MRI. Two patients were misdiagnosed as residual horn uterus by MRI, despite ultrasound suggesting ACUM with visible bilateral uterine horns.ConclusionsACUM exhibits distinct ultrasound characteristics. When young women present with progressive dysmenorrhea and ultrasound reveals a regular cystic-solid mass with thick wall located under the round ligament insertion, ACUM should be considered.

Reducing fertilizer use and increasing its efficiency will improve the quality of farmland and resource conservation. These are necessary steps to achieving green development in agriculture. Nevertheless, fertilizer-reduction and efficiency-increasing technologies (FREITs) remain limited. To improve the situation, 538 farmers in Jiangsu and Hubei Provinces were surveyed with the goal of measuring the information acquisition ability (IAA) of farmers using an Item Response Theory (IRT) model. A model of improved technology selection was employed in conjunction with an IV-probit model to examine the impacts of IAA on farmers' adoption of FREITs. The results showed that 34.76% of the surveyed farmers had adopted FREITs, with 12.45% and 26.02% having adopted Soil Testing and Formula Fertilization Technology (STFFT) and Organic Fertilizer Replacement Technology (OFRT), respectively. Second, farmers who used more information access channels had greater IAA, which significantly improved their adoption of FREITs. Third, participation in technical training and an increased degree of technical understanding increased the probability of farmers adopting FREITs. The results remained robust after accounting for endogeneity and correlation. Consequently, enhancing farmers' IAA, organizing technical training, and improving technical publicity will promote the adoption of FREITs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The income effect of rice–crayfish co-culture technology (RCT) is directly related to rate of adoption of farmers and the process of China's green development of agriculture. The aim of this study is to explore the income effect and income growth mechanism of rice–crayfish co-culture technology from the perspective of continuous adoption. With the treatment effect model (TEM), this paper empirically analyzes the income effect and income-generating mechanisms of RCT using field survey data from 736 farmers in the Jianghan Plain. As a result of this study, it was discovered that RCT will increase farmers' net agricultural income by RMB 83,430 if they continue to adopt it. Further examinations indicate that the optimal adoption period for RCT is four and a half years. Additionally, it has also been shown that non-farm employment positively moderates the relationship between continuous adoption of RCT and net agricultural income. Farmers who participate in non-farm employment and continue to adopt the RCT will experience an increase in net agricultural income by RMB 104,510. Therefore, our results suggest that it is necessary to encourage farmers to continuously adopt RCT and actively participate in non-farm employment to enhance the income effect of RCT. The luminescence color of molecule‐based photoactive materials is the key to the applications in lighting and optical communication. Realizing continuous regulation of emission color in molecular systems is highly desirable but still remains a challenge due to the individual emission band of purely organic molecules. Herein, a novel alloy strategy based on molecular co‐crystals is reported. By adjusting the molar ratio of pyrene (Py) and fluorathene (Flu), three types of molecular co‐crystal alloys (MCAs) assemblies are prepared involving Py‐Flu‐OFN‐x%, Py‐Flu‐TFP‐x%, Py‐Flu‐TCNB‐x%. Multiple energy level structure and Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) process endow materials with tunable full‐spectra emission color in visible region. Impressively, these MCAs and co‐crystals can be successfully applied to low optical loss waveguide and optical logic gate by virtue of all‐color luminescence from blue across green to red, together with smooth surface of one‐dimensional microrods, which show promising applications as continuous light emitters for advance photonics applications. Acute lung injury (ALI) caused by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) is a common, severe clinical syndrome. Injury caused by inflammation and oxidative stress in vascular endothelial and alveolar epithelial cells is a vital process in the pathogenesis of ALI. Toll-like receptor 9 (TLR9) is highly expressed in LPS-induced ALI rats. In this study, Beas-2B human pulmonary epithelial cells and A549 alveolar epithelial cells were stimulated by LPS, resulting in the upregulation of TLR9 in a concentrationdependent manner. Furthermore, TLR9 overexpression and interference vectors were transfected before LPS administration to explore the role of TLR9 in LPS-induced ALI in vitro. The findings revealed that inhibition of TLR9 reduced inflammation and oxidative stress while suppressing apoptosis of LPS-induced Beas-2B and A549 cells, whereas TLR9 overexpression aggravated these conditions. Moreover, TLR9 inhibition resulted in downregulated protein expression of myeloid differentiation protein 88 (MyD88) and activator activator protein 1 (AP-1), as well as phosphorylation of nuclear factor-?B (NF-kappaB), c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). The phosphorylation of extracellular-regulated protein kinases 1/2 was upregulated compared to that of cells subjected to only LPS administration, and this was reversed by TLR9 overexpression. These results indicate that inhibition of TLR9 plays a protective role against LPS-induced inflammation and oxidative stress in Beas-2B and A549 cells, possibly via the MyD88/NF-kappaB and MyD88/MAPKs/AP-1 pathways.
