Inter-basin water transfer projects, such as the Yellow River to Qingdao Water Diversion Project (YQWD), are essential for addressing water scarcity, but impact local aquatic ecosystems. This study investigates the seasonal characteristics of eukaryotic microbial communities in the Jihongtan Reservoir, the main water-receiving body of YQWD, over a one-year period using 18S rDNA amplicon sequencing. The results showed that the eukaryotic microbial diversity did not exhibit significant seasonal variation (p > 0.05), but there was a notable variance in the community structure (p < 0.05). Arthropoda and Paracyclopina, representing the most dominant phylum and the most dominant genus, respectively, both exhibited the lowest abundance during the winter. The Chlorophyta, as the second-dominant phylum, demonstrates its higher abundance in the spring and winter. The Mantel test and PLS-PM (Partial Least Squares Path Modeling) revealed that water temperature (WT), dissolved oxygen (DO), and pH influenced the seasonal dynamic of eukaryotic microbial communities significantly, of which WT was the primary driving factor. In addition to environmental factors, water diversion is likely to be an important influencing factor. The results of the co-occurrence network and robustness suggested that the spring network is the most complex and exhibits the highest stability. Moreover, keystone taxa within networks have been identified, revealing that these key groups encompass both abundant and rare species, with specificity to different seasons. Film mulching technology has greatly improved the efficiency of agricultural production. However, it also causes environmental problems such as soil contamination. Biodegradable mulch films, which represent environmentally friendly alternatives, present different characteristics depending on regional differences and crop growth differences. This review was based on the literature and data collected from databases such as the Web of Science. This study provides a comprehensive overview of the development, types and degradation characteristics of biodegradable mulch films. The following conclusions are presented: (1) Applying biodegradable mulch films can conserve water, maintain the soil temperature, improve soil nutrition, increase the soil respiration rate, and promote soil microbial activity. (2) Biodegradable mulch films promote crop root system development, suppress weeds, shorten the crop growth cycle, improve crop emergence rates, and expand the planting range of crops. (3) At present, the incomplete degradability of biodegradable mulch films, their relatively high cost and the potential harm to soil from their degradation products still limit their widespread use in agricultural production. The aim of this study is to provide a reference for future research and for the application of biodegradable mulch films in the hope of promoting their role in the sustainable development of agriculture. Chlorella pyrenoidosa is a widely used microalgae in the aquaculture process of Litopenaeus vannamei. In order to evaluate the effects of supplementing C. pyrenoidosa on water quality, shrimp growth performance, and biofilm bacterial community structure in L. vannamei aquaculture systems, C. pyrenoidosa suspension was supplemented in the precultured biofilm (PB) and water exchange (WE) culture systems. The results showed that supplementation with C. pyrenoidosa significantly increased the turbidity and the concentrations of total ammonia nitrogen (TAN) and nitrite nitrogen (NO 2 − ─N) in the PBC system (the PB system supplemented with C. pyrenoidosa), but had no significant effect on those in the WEC system (the WE system supplemented with C. pyrenoidosa). However, the TAN concentration of all systems remained at a low level (<0.1 mg/L) throughout the experiment. Additionally, supplementation with C. pyrenoidosa decreased the final concentrations of total phosphorus in the PBC and WEC systems by 15.74% and 23.33%, respectively. With the supplementation of C. pyrenoidosa, the final weight, final biomass, and average daily growth rate of L. vannamei increased, while the feed conversion ratio decreased. 16srRNA high-throughput sequencing results showed that the supplementation of C. pyrenoidosa to the PBC system resulted in a decrease in the relative abundances of Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes and an increase in the relative abundance of Acidobacteria. Compared to those in the initial biofilm sample, the relative abundances of nitrifying bacteria, Nitrosococcus, Nitrosomonas, Nitrococcus, and Nitrospira, in PBCF (biofilm in the PB systems with C. pyrenoidosa) and PBOF (biofilm in the PB systems without C. pyrenoidosa) decreased from 10.18% to 3.05% and 0.75%, respectively. Mitochondrial transplantation is a promising treatment for spinal cord injury (SCI), but it has the disadvantage of low efficiency of mitochondrial transfer to targeted cells. Here, we demonstrated that Photobiomodulation (PBM) could promote the transfer process, thus augmenting the therapeutic effect of mitochondrial transplantation. In vivo experiments, motor function recovery, tissue repair, and neuronal apoptosis were evaluated in different treatment groups. Under the premise of mitochondrial transplantation, the expression of Connex36 (Cx36), the trend of mitochondria transferred to neurons, and its downstream effects, such as ATP production and antioxidant capacity, were evaluated after PBM intervention. In in vitro experiments, dorsal root ganglia (DRG) were cotreated with PBM and 18β‐GA (a Cx36 inhibitor). In vivo experiments showed that PBM combined with mitochondrial transplantation could increase ATP production and reduce oxidative stress and neuronal apoptosis levels, thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function recovery. In vitro experiments further verified that Cx36 mediated the transfer of mitochondria into neurons. PBM could facilitate this progress via Cx36 both in vivo and in vitro. DNA repair is a primary defense mechanism against damage caused by exogenous and endogenous sources. We examined the associations between bladder cancer and 7 polymorphisms from 5 genes involved in the maintenance of genetic stability (MMR: MLH1-93G>A; BER: XRCC1--77T>C and Arg399Gln; NER:XPC Lys939Gln and PAT +/-; DSBR:ATM G5557A and XRCC7 G6721T) in 302 incident bladder cancer cases and 311 hospital controls. Genotyping was done using a polymerase chain reaction restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) technique. The homozygous variant of XRCC7 G6721T (Odds Ratio [OR]: 2.36; 95% Confidence Interval [CI]: 1.13-4.92) was associated with increased bladder cancer risk. In an analysis of combined genotypes, the combination of XRCC1Arg399Gln (Gln allele) with XRCC1-77 T/T led to an increase in risk (OR: 1.61; 95% CI: 1.10-2.36). Moreover, when the XPCLys939Gln (Gln allele) (nucleotide excision repair [NER]) was present together with XRCC7 (T allele) (double strand break repair [DSBR]), the bladder cancer risk dramatically increased (OR: 4.42; 95% CI: 1.23-15.87). Our results suggest that there are multigenic variations in the DNA repair pathway involved in bladder cancer susceptibility, despite the existence of ethnic group differences.

In this work, the Ag3PO4 modified with graphene quantum dots composites (GQDs-Ag3PO4) were synthesized via a facile precipitation method to further improve the photocatalytic performance of Ag3PO4. Interestingly, these GQDs-Ag3PO4 exhibited improved visible light photocatalytic performance for the degradation of rhodamine B than pure Ag3PO4. The composite with GQDs weight percentage of 0.48 showed the most excellent performance, which was completely almost 11.25 times than that of pure Ag3PO4. Furthermore, this composite also showed excellent photocatalytic performance for the photodegradation of para-chlorophenol, levofloxacin and negatively charged aromatic dye methyl orange. The remarkable enhancement of photocatalytic performance should be attributed to the larger surface area, the enhanced light absorption property and the effective suppression of electron-hole recombination. Abstract: The immobilization of denitrifying bacteria by PVA in seawater was studied, and the effects of pH and temperature on the nitrogen removal efficiency of immobilized ball were investigated. Results showed in the appropriate environment, the nitrogen removal efficiency of immobilized balls was lower than those not immobilized denitrifying bacteria. However, when the environment was not suitable for the growth of denitrifying bacteria (eg. pH5.0, temperature 10), the immobili°C zed ball could increase the nitrogen removal efficiency compared with those not immobilized due to their protect effect. Introduction: Massilia bacteria are widely distributed and have various ecological functions. Preliminary studies have shown that Massilia is the dominant species in constructed wetland ecosystems, but its species composition and distribution in constructed wetlands are still unclear., Methods: In this paper, the in-house-designed primers were used to construct a 16S rDNA clone library of Massilia . The RFLP sequence analysis method was used to analyze the diversity of Massilia clone library and the composition of Massilia in sewage, substrate, plant rhizosphere, plant phyllosphere and air in a constructed wetland sewage treatment system. Redundancy analysis (RDA) and canonical correspondence analysis (CCA) were used to analyze the correlation between environmental factors and the population characteristics of Massilia in the corresponding environment. The dominant species of Massilia were analyzed for differences., Results: The results showed that the 16S rDNA clone library in primer 5 worked well. According to the clone library diversity index analysis, the richness of Massilia varied significantly in different environments in different seasons, where the overall summer and autumn richness was higher than that in the spring and winter. The relative abundance of 5 Massilia in the constructed wetland ecosystem was greater than 1% in all samples, which were M. alkalitolerans , M. albidiflava , M. aurea , M. brevitalea , and M. timonae . The seasonal variation of dominant genera was significantly correlated with environmental factors in constructed wetlands., Discussion: The above results indicated that the species of Massilia were abundant and widely distributed in the constructed wetland ecosystem, and there were significant seasonal differences. A novel WO 3 /Ag 2 MoO 4 heterojunction has been synthesized through a facile precipitation method with Ag 2 MoO 4 particles firmly deposited on the surface of WO 3 nanoplates, forming "particles-on-plate" type II heterojunction structures. This heterojunction exhibited improved photocatalytic activities for the degradation of rhodamine B (RhB), 4 chlorophenol (4-CP) and tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) under visible-light irradiation compared to pure Ag 2 MoO 4 and WO 3 . In addition, the heterojunction with 10 wt% Ag 2 MoO 4 displays the best photocatalytic performance, which was about 2 times better than that of pure WO 3 or Ag 2 MoO 4 . The TC photodegradation rate reaches up to 91% within 90 min visible light irradiation. Furthermore, the photocatalytic efficiency of the Ag 2 MoO 4 /WO 3 heterojunction is 1.3 times higher than that of the mixture of the two individual photocatalysts. This remarkable enhanced photocatalytic performance results from the staggered bandgap between Ag 2 MoO 4 and WO 3 , which can suppress the recombination of electron-hole pairs efficiently.
