In this paper, the boundedness and compactness of the Hankel wavelet multiplier associated with the unitary representation on L p space for 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞ , are obtained by using the Hankel transform technique. The application of Hankel wavelet multipliers in form of the Landau–Pollak–Slepian operator is given. Background: The COVID-19 pandemic prompted unprecedented vaccine development efforts against SARS-CoV-2. India, which was one of the countries most impacted by COVID-19, developed its indigenous vaccine in addition to utilizing the ones developed by other countries. While antibody levels and neutralizing antibody titres are considered initial correlates of immune protection, long-term protection from the pathogen relies on memory B and T cells and their recall responses. In this regard, global research has primarily focused on mRNA-based vaccines. The studies on immune memory response, particularly B cell memory response induced by the vaccines given to Indians, remain relatively obscure. Methods: We assessed Receptor Binding Domain-specific memory B cells in the peripheral circulation and their ability to secrete antigen-specific antibodies among Indians vaccinated with Covaxin (BBV152), Covishield (AZD1222), Corbevax (BECOV2D), and Sputnik Light, as well as unvaccinated individuals. Results: Corbevax and Sputnik Light conferred better antibody-secreting cell (ASC) responses over time compared to other groups. Conclusions: These findings contribute to our understanding of vaccine-induced immune memory in the Indian population; providing insights that could inform future vaccine strategies. The BTB (broad-complex, tramtrack, and bric-à-brac) domain, also known as the POZ (POX virus and zinc finger) domain, is a conserved protein–protein interaction domain present in various organisms. In this study, we conducted a genome-wide search to identify and characterize BTB genes in Solanum tuberosum. A total of 57 StBTBs were identified and analyzed for their physicochemical properties, chromosomal distribution, gene structure, conserved motifs, phylogenetic relationships, tissue-specific expression patterns, and responses to hormonal and stress treatments. We found that StBTBs were unevenly distributed across potato chromosomes and exhibited diverse gene structures and conserved motifs. Tissue-specific expression analysis revealed differential expression patterns across various potato tissues, implying their roles in plant growth and development. Furthermore, differential expression analysis under hormonal and stress treatments indicated the involvement of StBTBs in abiotic and biotic stress responses and hormone signaling pathways. Protein–protein interaction analysis identified potential interactions with ribosomal proteins, suggesting roles in translational regulation. Additionally, microRNA target site analysis revealed regulatory relationships between StBTBs and miRNAs. Our study provides a comprehensive understanding of the StBTB gene family in potato, laying the groundwork for further functional characterization and manipulation of these genes to improve stress tolerance and agricultural productivity in potato and related plant species. Ca2+ and H2O2 interact with each other to regulate plant systemic responses. However, their precise mechanism is not fully understood. A recent study revealed that the Ca2+ regulates the glycolate oxidase-catalase (GC) switch-mediated photorespiratory H2O2 during wounding. Glutamate-receptor-like (GLR) Ca2+ channels (GLR 3.3 and GLR3.6) are responsible for Ca2+ influx during injury for regulation of the GC switch. Mechanical injury quickly shifts the GC switch to a highly interactive state in the systemic leaves that ultimately results in the reduced peroxisomal H2O2. Aims and objectives: the present study was conducted to study thyroid hormone level (FT3, FT4, and TSH) in the liver cirrhosis patient and also to find out the relation of thyroid hormone level and severity of cirrhosis of the liver. Material and methods: A observational cross sectional study was carried out on the patient admitted with chronic liver decease at Dr. BSA hospital New Delhi during October 2019 to march 2021 among 150 liver cirrhosis patients. Thyroid functional test and child pugh score was recorded. Results: Child pugh score A was found in 12% patients, Child pugh score B was found in 37.4% patients and Child pugh score C was found in 50.6% patients. Child Pugh grade A to C the prevalence of serum FT3 level decreased (p value<0.001). Child Pugh grade A to C the prevalence of serum FT4 level increased (p value<0.001). Child Pugh grade A to C the prevalence of serum TSH level increased (p value<0.001). FT3 value was showed negative correlation with child pugh score while FT4 and TSH value were showed positive correlation with child pugh score. Extraction of nucleic acids in pure form from organisms is of paramount importance for DNA based identification and other molecular studies. Over the past few decades, DNA-barcoding has emerged as a powerful technique, facilitating species identification across various 'difficult to identify' life-forms. Fungi, being an immensely diverse group of microorganisms, contribute significantly to global biodiversity, with estimates ranging from 2.2 to 3.8 million species. However, a vast majority of this diversity remains unidentified, and many fungal species are considered cryptic. Therefore, numerous large- and small-scale DNA-barcoding projects are being conducted worldwide to unravel this rich biodiversity. However, the rigidity and high complex polysaccharides content of fungal cell-wall presents a significant obstacle, making the extraction of high-quality genomic DNA a challenging task across varied fungal organisms. In this study, we employed a modified CTAB based method to isolate and purify high-quality PCR-amplifiable genomic DNA primarily from lichens and tested it on other fungal life forms as well, including, mushrooms, endolichenic fungi, and parasitic fungi. Remarkably, the isolated DNA proved successful as a template in PCR reactions, serving the purposes of DNA barcoding, RAPD as well as for metagenomic analysis effectively. This versatile protocol demonstrated its utility across all the fungal life forms investigated in this study, offering a universal, cost-effective, and efficient approach for fungal DNA isolation. Piezo channels belong to an important class of cell membrane-bound, Ca2+-permeable, mechanosensitive channels consisting of a pore and multiple transmembrane helices. In plants, the functional aspects of Piezo channels have been less studied than other mechanosensitive channels. However, a few studies that have been carried out indicate the involvement of Piezo channels in stress response and developmental processes. In our analysis, we identified a total of three Piezo genes in the Triticum aestivum genome. The phylogenetic analysis revealed the monocot and dicot-specific clustering of Piezo proteins. The gene and protein structure analysis indicated their conserved architecture. The promoter region of each of the three Piezo genes contained light-, growth-and development-, hormone-, and stress-responsive cis-regulatory elements. Moreover, the differential expression of Piezo genes in tissue developmental stages and under abiotic and biotic stress conditions indicated their probable role in plant growth and development and various stresses. The quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis suggested that TaPiezo1-D might be involved in Ca2+ homeostasis. In addition, protein–protein interaction indicated their precise role in glucose, hormone and stress responses. The miRNA interaction analysis further suggested their participation in signaling cascades and biological processes. The present study will extend our understanding about Piezo channels in Ca2+ mediated signaling in plants under various stresses and provide a path for the functional validation of TaPiezo genes in future research. Stomatal immunity is regulated by pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs)- and abscisic acid (ABA)-triggered signalling in different ways. Cytoplasmic Ca2+ signature in the guard cells plays a vital function in stomatal immunity, but the mechanism of Ca2+ import is unknown. It has been very recently established that the hyperosmolality-gated calcium-permeable channels (OSCAs) and cyclic nucleotide-gated channels (CNGCs) are responsible for the influx of Ca2+ in the cytoplasm, which are activated after BIK1-mediated phosphorylation and ABA interaction during PAMPs- and ABA-triggered stomatal immunity in plants, respectively. Further, ABA-triggered OPEN STOMATA1 (OST1) causes the disassembly of microtubules in the guard cells besides activation of S-type anion channels (SLAC1) for the efflux of cytoplasmic anions that leads to stomata closure. The hyperosmolality-gated calcium-permeable channels (OSCA) are pore-forming transmembrane proteins that function as osmosensors during various plant developmental processes and stress responses. In our analysis, through in silico approaches, a total of 42 OSCA genes are identified in the Triticum aestivum genome. A phylogenetic analysis reveals the close clustering of the OSCA proteins of Arabidopsis thaliana, Oryza sativa, and T. aestivum in all the clades, suggesting their origin before the divergence of dicots and monocots. Furthermore, evolutionary analyses suggest the role of segmental and tandem duplication events (Des) and purifying selection pressure in the expansion of the OSCA gene family in T. aestivum. Expression profiling in various tissue developmental stages and under abiotic and biotic stress treatments reveals the probable functioning of OSCA genes in plant development and the stress response in T. aestivum. In addition, protein–protein and protein–chemical interactions reveal that OSCA proteins might play a putative role in Ca2+-mediated developmental processes and adaptive responses. The miRNA interaction analysis strengthens the evidence for their functioning in various biological processes and stress-induced signaling cascades.
