The generating functional of a self-interacting scalar quantum field theory (QFT), which contains all the relevant information about real-time dynamics and scattering experiments, can be mapped onto a collection of multipartite-entangled two-level sensors via an interferometric protocol that exploits a specific set of source functions. Although one typically focuses on impulsive delta-like sources, as these give direct access to $n$-point Feynman propagators, we show in this work that using always-on harmonic sources can simplify substantially the sensing protocol. In a specific regime, the effective real-time dynamics of the quantum sensors can be described by a quantum Ising model with long-range couplings, the range and strength of which contains all the relevant information about the renormalisation of the QFT, which can now be extracted in the absence of multi-partite entanglement. We present a detailed analysis of how this sensing protocol can be relevant to characterise the long-wavelength QFT that describes quantised sound waves of trapped-ion crystals in the vicinity of a structural phase transition, opening a new route to characterise the associated renormalisation of sound.

We present relative positions of visual binaries observed during 2009 with the FastCam "lucky-imaging" camera at the 1.5-m Carlos Sanchez Telescope (TCS) at the Observatorio del Teide. We obtained 424 CCD observations (averaged in 198 mean relative positions) of 157 binaries with angular separations in the range 0.14-15.40", with a median separation of 0.51". For a given system, each CCD image represents the sum of the best 10-25% images from 1000-5000 short-exposure frames. Derived internal errors were 7 mas in r and 1.2^{\circ} (9 mas) in q. When comparing to systems with very well-known orbits, we find that the rms deviation in r residuals is 23 mas, while the rms deviation in q residuals is 0.73 deg/r. We confirmed 18 Hipparcos binaries and we report new companions to BVD 36 A and J 621 B. For binaries with preliminary orbital parameters, the relative radial velocity was estimated as well. We also present four new revised orbits computed for LDS 873, BU 627 A-BC, BU 628 and HO 197 AB. A new model is proposed, in the context of Axelrod's model for the study of cultural dissemination, to include and external vector field (VF) which describes the effects of mass media on social systems. The VF acts over the whole system and it is characterized by two parameters: a non-null overlap with each agent in the society and a confidence value of its information. Beyond a threshold value of the confidence there is induced monocultural globalization of the system lined up with the VF. Below this value, the multicultural states are unstable and certain homogenization of the system is obtained in opposite line up according to that we have called {\it negative publicity} effect. We present a simulation to characterize the dependence on hydrostatic pressure for the photoluminescence spectra in self-assembled quantum dots with lens shape geometry. We have tested the physical effects of the band offset and electron-hole effective masses on the optical emission in dot lens. The value of the cosmological constant arising from a crystalline model for vacuum cosmic space with lattice parameter of the order of the neutron radius [1] has been calculated. The model allows to solve, in an easy way, the problem of the cosmological constant giving the right order of magnitude, which corresponds very well with the mean value of matter density in the universe. The obtained value is about 10 to the power of (-48) square Km. Diffraction experiments with non-thermal neutron beam in cosmic space are proposed to search for the possibility of crystalline structure of vacuum space and to measure the lattice parameter., Comment: 11 pages, non figures

Using Heisenberg's uncertainty principle it is shown that the gravitational stability condition for a crystalline vacuum cosmic space implies to obtain an equation formally equivalent to the relation first used by Gamow to predict the present temperature of the microwave background from the matter density. The compatibility condition between the quantum and the relativistic approaches has been obtained without infinities arising from the quantum analysis or singularities arising from the relativistic theory. The action which leads to our theory is the least action possible in a quantum scheme.
