The role of joint entity and relation extraction is to identify entities and their corresponding relations from specific texts, and it is also the basis for constructing and updating knowledge graph. Currently, joint extraction methods ignore information redundancy in the extraction process while pursuing performance. To address this issue, a model based on latent relations for joint entity and relation extraction is proposed. This paper designs a new decoding method to reduce the redundant information of relationships, entities and triples in the prediction process, and it is divided into two steps: extracting potential entity pairs and decoding relationships to complete the extraction of triples. Firstly, the potential entity pair extractor is used to predict whether there is potential relationship between entities, and at the same time, the entity pairs with high confidence are selected as the final potential entity pairs. Secondly, the relational decoding is regarded as a multi-label binary classification task, and the confidence of all relationships between each potential entity pair is predicted by the relational decoder. Finally, the number and type of relationships are determined by confidence to complete the task of extracting triples. Experimental results on two general datasets show that the proposed model is better than the baseline models in terms of accuracy and F1 indicators, which verifies the effectiveness of the proposed model. The ablation experiment also proves the effectiveness of the internal parts of the model.

Clinical research reports serve as the presentation of scientific research findings and directly reflect the quality of the research. This article describes the writing of different types of clinical research reports， such as observational studies and randomized controlled trial studies， with a particular focus on randomized controlled trials. Each scientific research design has its reporting focus， and the writing of scientific research papers has uniform requirements and a specific writing format. Mastering the proper format of drafting research reports is of practical value and significant importance for conduction high-quality clinical research.

Statistics plays an important role in medical research， and the selection of appropriate statistical methods is crucial for drawing reliable and valuable conclusions. This paper provides a brief introduction to commonly used statistical analysis methods for medical data， covering descriptive analysis， parametric test， nonparametric test， correlation analysis， regression analysis， and analysis of survival data. It focuses on discussing the assumptions of multiple linear regression， logistic regression and Cox proportional risk regression， as well as how to choose the appropriate statistical methods for analyzing and interpreting medical data based on different research objectives and data types.

The entity and relation extraction task, which is the technical source of constructing and updating large-scale knowledge graph, aims to identify the relationship between entities from unstructured text. Among the existing joint extraction methods of entity and relation, parallel decoding of tuples efficiently generates tuples by set prediction. However, this method ignores the interaction between entity and relationship, and entity subject and object, resulting in the generation of invalid tuples. To address this problem, this paper proposes a joint extraction model of entity and relation based on dual set prediction networks. To enhance the interaction between relationships and entities, a dual set prediction network is used to decode the tuples in parallel, and the entity information and relationship types in the tuples are generated sequentially. The first set prediction network models the set of tuples and decodes the subject-object information in the tuple. The second set prediction network models the set of tuples embedded with subject-object information and decodes the relationship type between subject and object. This paper designs an entity filter for entity subject-object, which predicts the subject-object correlation among entities in a sentence and filters out the tuples with lower subject-object correlation according to the result. Experiments on the NYT (New York Times) and WebNLG public datasets show that the proposed model performs better than the baseline model in terms of accuracy and F1 metrics when the encoder is BERT, which verifies the validity of the model.

Few-shot knowledge graph completion (FKGC) is a new research hotspot in the field of knowledge graph completion, which aims to complete knowledge graph with a few samples of data. This task is of great importance in practical application and the fields of knowledge graph. In order to further promote the development of the field of FKGC, this paper summarizes and analyzes the current methods. Firstly, this paper describes the concept of FKGC and related content. Secondly, three types of FKGC methods are summarized based on technical methods, including scale learning-based methods, meta learning-based methods, and other model-based methods. In addition, this paper analyzes and summarizes each method from the perspectives of model core, model ideas, advantages and disadvantages, etc. Then, the datasets and evaluation indexes of FKGC method are summarized, and the FKGC method is analyzed from two aspects of model characteristics and experimental results. Finally, starting from the practical problems, this paper summarizes the difficult problems of the current FKGC task, analyses the difficulties behind the problems, gives the corresponding solutions, and prospects several development directions that deserve attention in this field in the future.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a kind of primary liver cancer with a high mortality rate. In China, the incidence ratio in males to females with HCC is 2:1–5:1. The difference in sex hormone pathways between males and females and the interaction between androgen/androgen receptors and HBV can lead to an incidence difference between males and females with HCC. Hence, the androgen/androgen receptor oncogenic pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma has received considerable attention. This review mainly summarizes the recent research progress on the androgen/androgen receptor oncogenic pathway in hepatocellular carcinoma.

ObjectiveTo investigate the related factors of hypertension and comorbid hypertension-diabetes mellitus （HT-DM） among rural residents in Shanghai， China.MethodsA total of 2 159 residents over 35 years old were randomly selected from a rural community in the suburbs of Shanghai through cluster random sampling. Their basic sociological characteristics and blood lipid levels were investigated. Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationship between hypertension （or HT-DM） and gender， age， education levels， marital status， original household registration and current household registration. The relationship between hypertension （or HT-DM） and blood lipid level was analyzed by a conditional logistic regression model.ResultsThe prevalence of hypertension was 26.35% and that of HT-DM was 4.68% in the study population. Chi-square test analysis showed that hypertension was significantly associated with age， marital status， educational level， and rural household registration， while HT-DM was significantly associated with age， educational level， and rural household registration. Corona virus disease 2019 （COVID-19） has led to more than 500 million cases， including 6.19 million deaths. Mutated strains of SARS-CoV-2 （alpha， beta， gamma， delta and omicron） have successively emerged. Currently the omicron variant is gradually replacing the delta variant， driving a surge of cases in most countries including China， posing a great challenge to the prevention and treatment of COVID-19. In the face of the severe pandemic situation， a large number of non-medical volunteers are fighting on the front lines of the war against the pandemic and are vulnerable to exposure due to lack of professional knowledge. This paper introduces the routine skills training of volunteers and emergency response， aiming to provide behavioral guidance for non-medical volunteers in designated isolation facilities.

Objective To evaluate the surgical effect and complication of laser in situ fenestration with thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) in the patients with aortic dissection involving arch branches. Methods From December 2018 to December 2020, 181 patients with aortic dissection involving arch branches admitted to our hospital were analyzed retrospectively among whom 172 patients had laser in situ fenestration with TEVAR. The inclusion criteria were dissection involved aortic arch and the process of TEVAR required reconstruction of the branched vessels in arch. Patients both with aortic dissection lesions less than 15 mm from the coronary ostium and the diameter of ascending aorta more than 45 mm were excluded. Results All cases underwent laser in situ fenestration with TEVAR including 37 cases (21.51%) in acute stage and 135 cases (78.49%) in subacute stage and 165 cases (95.93%) with success of reconstruction of branch vessels. In-hospital death occurred in 6 cases (3.49%), stroke in 2 cases (1.16%), paraplegia in 4 cases (2.33%), proximal stent-graft induced new entry (SINE) in 2 cases (1.16%), and without distal SINE. A total of 168 cases (97.67%) were followed-up. There were 311 branch vessels reconstructed. Follow-up CT angiography was done(10.6±5.4) months which showed that 295 branch vessels were patency with patency rate 94.86%. The partial or complete false lumen thrombosis of thoracic aorta was found in 152 cases (88.37%). Conclusions Laser in situ fenestration with TEVAR was performed with high success rate and low complication rate for the patients with aortic dissection involving arch branches. Long-term follow-up and large sample studies are needed for long-term clinical effects.

A nonlinear dynamic model of angular contact ball bearing under combined external loads is established based on the nonlinear elastic Hertz contact theory and raceless control theory. The established dynamic model is solved by employing variable step size Newton Raphson iteration method and the validation of model is verified by comparing the proposed results with the corresponding results come from the existing literatures. The solution of the presented model has high accuracy compared with the existing experimental results. In addition, the computational efficiency of the proposed model is improved significantly by introducing iteration step size adjustment factor. According to the proposed model, the dynamic contact and stiffness characteristics of angular contact ball are studied systematically by investigating the effects of combined external load working conditions on the contact parameters including contact angle and contact force and the stiffness parameters including diagonal stiffness and off-diagonal stiffness. This research can provide the theoretical basis and technique guidance for the designation and manufacture of angular contact ball bearing under combined external loads. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: Salinity, as one of the most challenging environmental factors restraining crop growth and yield, poses a severe threat to global food security. To address the rising food demand, it is urgent to develop crop varieties with enhanced yield and greater salt tolerance by delving into genes associated with salt tolerance and high‐yield traits. MiR396b/GRF6 module has previously been demonstrated to increase rice yield by shaping the inflorescence architecture. In this study, we revealed that miR396b/GRF6 module can significantly improve salt tolerance of rice. In comparison with the wild type, the survival rate of MIM396 and OE‐GRF6 transgenic lines increased by 48.0% and 74.4%, respectively. Concurrent with the increased salt tolerance, the transgenic plants exhibited reduced H2O2 accumulation and elevated activities of ROS‐scavenging enzymes (CAT, SOD and POD). Furthermore, we identified ZNF9, a negative regulator of rice salt tolerance, as directly binding to the promoter of miR396b to modulate the expression of miR396b/GRF6. Combined transcriptome and ChIP‐seq analysis showed that MYB3R serves as the downstream target of miR396b/GRF6 in response to salt tolerance, and overexpression of MYB3R significantly enhanced salt tolerance. In conclusion, this study elucidated the potential mechanism underlying the response of the miR396b/GRF6 network to salt stress in rice. Background: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the impact of intratumoral metabolic heterogeneity and quantitative 18F‐FDG PET/CT imaging parameters in predicting patient outcomes in thymic epithelial tumors (TETs). Methods: This retrospective study included 100 patients diagnosed with TETs who underwent pretreatment 18F‐FDG PET/CT. The maximum and mean standardized uptake values (SUVmax and SUVmean), metabolic tumor volume (MTV), and total lesion glycolysis (TLG) on PET/CT were measured. Heterogeneity index‐1 (HI‐1; standard deviation [SD] divided by SUVmean) and heterogeneity index‐2 (HI‐2; linear regression slopes of the MTV according with different SUV thresholds), were evaluated as heterogeneity indices. Associations between these parameters and patient survival outcomes were analyzed. Results: The univariate analysis showed that Masaoka stage, TNM stage, WHO classification, SUVmax, SUVmean, TLG, and HI‐1 were significant prognostic factors for progression‐free survival (PFS), while MTV, HI‐2, age, gender, presence of myasthenia gravis, and maximum tumor diameter were not. Subsequently, multivariate analyses showed that HI‐1 (p < 0.001) and TNM stage (p = 0.002) were independent prognostic factors for PFS. For the overall survival analysis, TNM stage, WHO classification, SUVmax, and HI‐1 were significant prognostic factors in the univariate analysis, while TNM stage remained an independent prognostic factor in multivariate analyses (p = 0.024). The Kaplan Meier survival analyses showed worse prognoses for patients with TNM stages III and IV and HI‐1 ≥ 0.16 compared to those with stages I and II and HI‐1 < 0.16 (log‐rank p < 0.001). Conclusion: HI‐1 and TNM stage were independent prognostic factors for progression‐free survival in TETs. HI‐1 generated from baseline 18F‐FDG PET/CT might be promising to identify patients with poor prognosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper proposes a synthetical multi-degree-of-freedom mathematical modelling for analyzing the dynamic characteristics of angular contact ball bearing with waviness subjected to the external load working conditions. The above multi-degree-of-freedom mathematical modelling is established based on nonlinear elastic Hertz contact theory and inner raceway control theory by employing improved Newton–Raphson iteration method; the validation of the established mathematical modelling is verified by comparing the presented results with the existing literature results. The above mathematical modelling has considered raceway waviness, ball waviness, bearing clearance, centrifugal force, gyroscopic moment, external loads, and rotating speed comprehensively. Firstly, the effects of waviness order and waviness amplitude on time-varying contact and stiffness characteristics of angular contact ball bearing are investigated systematically. Then, the influences of bearing clearance, rotating speed, axial force, radial force, and torque on the dynamic contact and stiffness characteristics of angular contact ball bearing with waviness are analyzed thoroughly. The main results show that the solution results of mathematical modelling have converged, respectively, when raceway waviness order increases to 25 and ball waviness order increases to 5; The variation tendencies of time-varying contact angle, contact force, and stiffness of angular contact ball bearing with waviness are aperiodic; The amplitudes of time-varying contact angle, contact force, and stiffness of angular contact ball bearing increase evidently with waviness amplitude increased; The bearing clearance has important influence on the contact angle and contact force of outer raceway and inner raceway, respectively; The effects of radial force and torque on contact and stiffness characteristics are consistent basically in the corresponding direction; The influences of axial force and rotating speed on the contact and stiffness characteristics are more remarkable compared with other factors. The investigations of contact and stiffness characteristics of angular contact ball bearing with waviness are helpful for the designation and manufacture of high precision angular contact ball bearing. Background A paucity of evidence exists regarding the optimal management for abdominal aortic graft infection. The aim of this paper was to assess short- and long-term outcomes following different surgical options in aortic graft infection patients. Methods Medline, Embase and the Cochrane Library were searched from inception to February 2023. Network meta-analysis was performed using a frequentist method. Patients were divided into four treatment groups: complete graft removal with in situ repair, complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair, partial graft removal with in situ repair and partial graft removal with extra-anatomic repair. The mortality rate at 30-days and 1-year was the primary outcome. Secondary outcomes were longer-term mortality rate, primary patency and reinfections. For included RCTs, the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool was utilized to assess the risk of bias. The methodological quality of cohort studies was evaluated using the Newcastle–Ottawa scale. Results Among 4559 retrieved studies, 22 studies with 1118 patients (11 multi-arm and 11 single-arm studies) were included. Patients received complete graft removal with in situ repair (N = 852), partial graft removal with in situ repair (N = 36), complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair (N = 228) and partial graft removal with extra-anatomic repair (N = 2). Both network meta-analysis results and pooled results of multi- and single-arm cohorts indicated that partial graft removal with in situ repair has the lowest 30-day and 1-year mortality rates (0% and 6.1% respectively), followed by complete graft removal with in situ repair (11.9% and 23.8% respectively) and complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair (16.6% and 41.4% respectively). In addition, complete graft removal with in situ repair had a lower 3-year (complete graft removal with in situ repair versus complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair: 32.1% versus 90%) and 5-year (complete graft removal with in situ repair versus complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair: 45.6% versus 67.9%) mortality rate when compared with complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair. Patients in the complete graft removal with in situ repair group had the lowest reinfections (8%), followed by partial graft removal with in situ repair (9.3%) and complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair (22.4%). Conclusion Partial graft removal with in situ repair was associated with lower 30-day and 1-year mortality rates when compared with complete graft removal with in situ repair and complete graft removal with extra-anatomic repair. Endothelial dysfunction is an independent risk factor for stroke. The dysfunction of endothelial cells (EC) is closely concerned with EC senescence. Gastrodin (GAS) is an organic compound extracted from the dried root mass of the Orchidaceae plant Gastrodiae gastrodiae. It is used clinically to treat diseases such as vertebrobasilar insufficiency, vestibular neuronitis and vertigo. In the present study, we used hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)‐induced human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) to establish an in vitro EC senescence model and to investigate the role and mechanism of GAS in EC senescence. It's found that H2O2‐treated HUVECs increased the proportion of senescence‐associated β‐galactosidase (SA β‐gal) positive cells and the relative protein expression levels of senescence‐associated cyclin p16 and p21. In addition, GAS reduced the proportion of SA β‐gal positive cells and the relative protein expression levels of p16 and p21, and increased the proliferation and migration ability of HUVECs. Meanwhile, GAS increased the expression of the anti‐oxidative stress protein HO‐1 and its nuclear expression level of Nrf2. The anti‐senescence effect of GAS was blocked when HO‐1 expression was inhibited by SnPPIX. Furthermore, absence of HO‐1 abolished the effect of GAS on HUVEC proliferation and migration. In conclusion, GAS ameliorated H2O2‐induced cellular senescence and enhanced cell proliferation and migration by enhancing Nrf2/HO‐1 signalling in HUVECs.
