Abstract

In the last 10 years, organizations and researchers have recognized the importance of sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) because of the consumers, -profit and non-profit organizations, laws and regulations, and consumer social and corporate responsibilities. Supplier selection, environmental effects such as social cooperation, and other SSCM programmes, can all help to achieve the “triple bottom line (TBL)” of economic, environmental, and social advantages. Sustainable supplier selection (SSS) and firm performance are important factors in supply chain management (SCM). Organizations will traditionally consider a new framework when evaluating SSS performance to obtain all-encompassing criteria/sub-criteria of the sustainability index by encapsulating sustainability. This paper compiles 12 subcriteria for three sustainability pillars, namely economic, environmental, and social performance. Despite the fact that many articles on SSS and evaluation were published during COVID-19, there seems to be little research on sustainability issues to date. The goal of this study is to suggest a fuzzy multicriteria approach to SSCM planning. Additionally, using the TBL method, the problem of determining a current model for SSS in the supply chain was investigated. The linguistic value of the subjective preference of experts is represented by triangular fuzzy numbers. Fuzzy TOPSIS (technique for order preference by similarity to ideal solution) is proposed to use standard weights to rank SSS for qualitative performance evaluation. COVID-19, on the other hand, has a detrimental impact on SSS and company results. The organization’s performance suffers as a result of the COVID-19 shutdown. The proposed method is demonstrated using an example.

Abstract

Purpose: Now-a-days online hotel reservations find very sensitive part among any activity performed by individuals where we can see that consumers are facing a lot of difficulties and risks in order to confirm their bookings, because with the passage of time it’s been found that the internet usage is increased likewise risk factors and fraudulent activities have also been taking place more frequently so that’s why people feel hesitations and confusions in order to confirm their bookings because now-a-days as much internet usage have been increased likewise risk factors and fraudulent activities have also been taking place more frequently so that’s why people feel hesitations and confusions in order to find their hotel reservations done. Design/Methodology/Approach: The purpose of this research study will be a detailed nature creating use of data and information asked from the research instruments. The study adopted two major research approaches, namely qualitative approach and quantitative approach during data collection and presentation. Random sampling is used as a sampling technique. Findings: Overall results indicate that Security Risk, Financial Risk, Trust, and Consumer psychology all are important dimensions of online reservations. All these variables are important for an organization’s functions and increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Implications/Originality/Value: This study can be helpful for all the hospitality industry related organizations who want to measure risk factors for online reservations. Organizations in private sectors and other industries can also be included in further research work. Managers should make sure that they and their subordinates follow the process flows on online sales of their brand, and do not make any exceptions.                                   &

Abstract

Entrepreneurship has seen one of the major growths in Pakistan, in fact, just last year, the country ranked as 4th in the World for the highest ratio of startups and small businesses. With many new campaigns and programs in support for new and thriving business ideas for youth by the government and tax wagers, the market has seen a significant growth in the last few years however the sustainability and effectiveness hasn’t grown alongside. One of the major reasons is the ineffective marketing strategies that small businesses implement due to their lack of exposure to understanding the industry. Another hypothesis that can be reached is the effect of Covid in the recent months especially since last year that has brought a huge downturn in the industry and has significantly damaged the state of existing as well as new SMEs in its duration. Our study adopted a simple questionnaire through which we tested and found out the insight and learned how ineffective marketing has affected businesses everywhere resulting in business failures and bankruptcy, along with the current Covid situation that has driven many SMEs to forced closure. Through this study, many rising businesses in their initiation phase will learn the keys to rescuing a failing business specially through recognizing the importance of marketing and its latest trends.
