Specific teaching methods as well as general pedagogical ideas are treated. Several papers deal with specific languages, including Latin, French, German, Spanish, and Slovak. Abstract

This volume contains the Research Consortium abstracts accepted for the 1986 American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are 45 papers and 184 poster papers that were selected for presentation from a total of 376 abstracts submitted. Each abstract was evaluated by three qualified reviewers in the appropriate area. In addition, 12 Symposia were accepted for presentation following a similar review process. The symposia, free communication, and poster abstracts are presented in chronological order within each category. Date and time of presentation are listed in the lower left hand corner of each abstract; the author's contact address is included. (JD)

Abstract

This volume contains all research consortium abstracts which were accepted for presentation at the Minneapolis, Minnesota Convention of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), April 7-11, 1983. Abstracts represent "state of the art" research encompassing the entire spectrum of AAHPERD disciplines. Abstracts are grouped according to topics (pedagogy, physiology, health, biomechanics and skill acquisition, health, handicapped, motor development, curriculum, history, physiology, measurement and evaluation, sociology, and psychology). Also included are abstracts of poster sessions, which were multidisciplinary in nature and provided greater opportunity for the researcher to share ideas and results. (JD)
