In order to clarify the suction characteristics of unsaturated clay under different conditions of water and salt, taking soil in western Jilin province, China as the research object, the suctions (matrix suction and osmotic suction) of samples with different water content, salt type, and salt content were determined by filter paper method. The results indicate that salt type and content have insignificant influence on the matrix suction. With the increase of water content, the matrix suction decreases at different rates in different suction regimes. When water content is constant, the osmotic suction increases with the increase of salt content, and under the condition of a constant salt content, the osmotic suction first increases and then decreases with the increase of ion concentration of the pore water, and can reach tens of MPa. The concept of suction equilibrium water content is proposed. When water content of sample is higher than this value, the magnitude of osmotic suction will always be greater than that of matrix suction. This indicates the necessity to consider osmotic suction in the presence or change of salt in soil. The applicability of the traditional models of matrix suction and osmotic suction in the full suction range of clay is discussed, and it is found that the traditional models cannot make a full explanation to the variation in suction. Based on the experimental data, an improved van Genuchten matrix suction model and an osmotic suction model, transformed by the Planck blackbody radiation formula, are proposed. Transforming resource-based cities into sustainable economic development is a great challenge for policy-makers in many countries. However, the economic-centered evaluation system tends to breed the undesirable view of "GDP only" or "brown growth" in the previous case studies which is inconsistent with the long-run and sustainable development of resource-based cities. To fill in this research gap, this paper takes Jilin province in northeast China as a case study to explore urban development problems faced by major resource-based cities during resource depletion. This research constructs a stratified indicator system and conducts an in-depth analysis of the features and spatial effects of urban decline. For this analysis, this paper jointly uses the methods of entropy-weighted TOPSIS, analytic hierarchical process (AHP), and spatial effect model based on a database from 2000 to 2019. The findings of this study show that the current transformation of resource-based cities in Jilin province is generally ineffective and difficult to maintain long-run and sustainable development due to its historical reasons and industrial development background. According to the results, the resource-based cities in Jilin province show an unstable development because of factors such as barriers to the physical renewal of resources, rigid industrial structure, insufficient backup resources, and institutional and policy constraints. Optical remote sensing videos, as a new source of remote sensing data that has emerged in recent years, have significant potential in remote sensing applications, especially national defense. In this paper, a tracking pipeline named TDNet (tracking while detecting based on a neural network) is proposed for optical remote sensing videos based on a correlation filter and deep neural networks. The pipeline is used to simultaneously track ships and planes in videos. There are many target tracking methods for general video data, but they suffer some difficulties in remote sensing videos with low resolution and those influenced by weather conditions. The tracked targets are usually misty. Therefore, in TDNet, we propose a new multi-target tracking method called MT-KCF and a detecting-assisted tracking (i.e., DAT) module to improve tracking accuracy and precision. Meanwhile, we also design a new target recognition (i.e., NTR) module to recognise newly emerged targets. In order to verify the performance of TDNet, we compare our method with several state-of-the-art tracking methods on optical video remote sensing data sets acquired from the Jilin No. 1 satellite. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness and the state-of-the-art performance of the proposed method. The proposed method can achieve more than 90% performance in terms of precision for single-target tracking tasks and more than 85% performance in terms of MOTA for multi-object tracking tasks. With tunnel boring machines (TBMs) widely used in tunnel construction, the adaptable adjustment of TBM operating status has become a research focus. Since the prediction of tunnel geological conditions is still challenging before excavating, the prediction of important TBM operating parameters plays an important role in the research on TBM adaptable adjustment. This paper proposes an intelligent prediction method of TBM tunneling parameters based on bidirectional gate recurrent unit incorporating attention mechanism (Bi-GRU-ATT) and selects a complete tunneling cycle to predict the tunneling parameters of the TBM complete tunneling cycle. Relying on the TBM3 bid section of Jilin Water Supply Project, 21 key parameters of the complete tunneling cycle are selected as the input features of the model to realize the prediction of four tunneling parameters in the complete driving cycle section of TBM. Compared with the Bi-GRU, GRU, and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) models, it can be seen that the Bi-GRU-ATT model has a goodness of fit for predicting TBM tunneling parameters above 0.92, and the average absolute percentage error is less than 1.8%. The results show that the prediction method of TBM tunneling parameters based on Bi-GRU-ATT model proposed in this paper has stronger learning and prediction capabilities. Jilin is an important grain producing area and heavy industry base in China. With the economic development and improvement of people's livelihood, water resource issues have been becoming increasingly prominent, Jilin Province comprehensive utilization of water resources is not efficient. The traditional method of water consumption per 10000 Yuan of output value cannot objectively reflect the water-use efficiency of different local industrial structures. Therefore, this paper builds the data envelopment analysis model based on the input-output relationship. In order to meet the requirements of data envelopment analysis model for data analysis, this paper introduces the principal component analysis method, and reduces the 16 water resources input indicators and 14 water resources output indicators of Jilin Province from 2004 to 2017 to 3 input principal components and 2 output principal components. The multi-model data envelopment analysis method is used to analyze the water-use efficiency of Jilin Province, and the results show that with the rapid economic growth, the water resources efficiency in 2010-2013 was relatively poor, there was a waste of water resources, and the management technology was backward, but with the deepening of the industrial transformation and upgrading, farming modernization and revitalizing the strategy of the old industrial base in Northeast China, the water-use efficiency and the water resources carrying capacity of Jilin Province has been improved. Separate-layer CO2 flooding has increasingly been used to improve the overall development of multi-layer heterogeneous reservoirs. Due to their field technical limitations, layer combinations have to be carried out to reduce the number of layer-groups required for the separate injection of CO2. Currently there are few studies of the method of designing layer combinations. In field practice, the layer combinations are often made based on the permeability ratio of the layers to be developed, but it is not possible to accurately obtain the optimal scheme in many cases. Therefore, in this paper, a new design and optimization method based on the weighted standard deviation of permeability is proposed, which comprehensively considers the effects of multiple geological and fluid properties in different layers. The new method is applied to study the layer combination schemes in separate-layer CO2 flooding in H block, Daqingzijing Oilfield, Jilin, China. The prioritization of all of the schemes is obtained via the method, and a related numerical model is also established to perform verification and quantitative analysis. The results show that designing layer combinations using the new proposed method can achieve better development effect than using the conventional permeability ratio based method. It can achieve a more uniform interlayer CO2 displacement with an obvious improvement in the CO2 swept volume in low permeability layers and a higher overall oil recovery. According to the numerical simulation results, using the optimal layer combination scheme designed via the new proposed method, the ten-year swept volume of CO2 in the low permeability layer can be increased by 16.2%, and the ten-year overall oil recovery efficiency can be increased by 3.3%, with both measures showing a remarkable improvement. In recent years, the main grain-producing areas in the west of Jilin have gradually concentrated in the perennial irrigation areas and supplementary irrigation areas in the north, and the stress degree of grain irrigation water resources is gradually increasing. Therefore, this paper selects the arid and semiarid area in the west of Jilin Province as the research area and compares and analyzes the modeling process and simulation accuracy of the temporal and spatial distribution of food security production and total water resources. Based on the center of gravity model, this paper studies the temporal and spatial distribution of food security production and total water resources in Western Jilin. It can be seen that after 2018, rice and wheat show a fluctuating upward trend, and their values rise from 0.612 to 0.786 and 0.356 to 0.612, respectively; the rise of corn is small, showing an inverted "U" trend, which first increases from 0.693 in 2018 to 0.701 in 2019 and then decreases to 0.671 in 2021; By comparing the precipitation statistics in different years, the inverted "U" trend of corn irrigation water efficiency may be related to the sudden increase of precipitation. The center of gravity model is used to analyze the evolution trend of the center of gravity of grain production and water resources in Western Jilin from the national and regional levels, and the spatiotemporal coupling degree of the center of gravity of grain production and water resources is explored through the two-factor center of gravity coupling situation model. Due to the development characteristics of low‐permeability reservoirs such as weak water absorption, slow development of water injection, and strong pressure sensitivity, the effect of water injection in low‐permeability reservoirs is quite different from that in medium and high‐permeability reservoirs. Therefore, in oilfield development, it is important to study the movement law of the waterflooding front in low‐permeability reservoirs. In this paper, taking the Jilin oilfield as an example, a geological model of Xinmin 23 Block was established for the numerical simulation analysis considering the heterogeneity of low‐permeability reservoirs. In addition, artificial cores were manufactured to conduct the physical experiment of the waterflood front advance of cores with different physical properties under the influence of various factors such as the fracture and the range by the constant‐velocity flooding. Based on the numerical simulation and the physical experiment, the movement law of the waterflood front was analyzed and a basic method for evaluating the waterflooding development in low‐permeability reservoirs was established to provide feasible insights for the waterflooding development in low‐permeability reservoirs. In this paper, numerical simulation and experimental studies were performed on the effect of the waterflooding development of Xinmin 23 Block in the Jilin oilfield. The evaluation results obtained were consistent with the actual oil production providing a theoretical basis for judging the accurate advance time from the waterflood front to the production well in actual oil production. Based on the theories of mass conservation and coalbed methane (CBM) adsorption/desorption, this paper first establishes a novel reservoir pressure model for CBM production, following which, the CBM concentration and production models are also proposed. Then, these models are programmed and solved by means of the finite element method. Taking the Hunchun CBM field in Jilin province, China, as an example, the reservoir pressure, gas concentration, and production characteristics under different hydraulic fracture forms are simulated and investigated. In conclusion, the reservoir pressure decreases very rapidly in a small region near the fracture tip, which we called the "reservoir pressure singularity". The existence of a hydraulic fracture greatly reduces the reservoir pressure in the process of CBM exploitation. The permeability sensitivity coefficient of reservoir pressure, Rpk, is defined to quantitatively describe the influence of coal seam permeability on the evolution of reservoir pressure. Rpk decreases logarithmically as the distance from the CBM extraction well increases. The reservoir pressure and CBM recovery rate characteristics in the presence of multiple hydraulic fractures are also investigated. We believe these results could contribute to the design of hydraulic fracturing wells and the evaluation of gas production in a CBM reservoir. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Nitrogen (N) utilization for crop production under N deficiency conditions is subject to a trade-off between maintaining specific leaf N content (SLN) important for radiation-use efficiency versus maintaining leaf area (LA) development, important for light capture. This paper aims to explore how maize deals with this trade-off through responses in SLN, LA and their underlying traits during the vegetative and reproductive growth stages. In a 10-year N fertilization trial in Jilin province, Northeast China, three N fertilizer levels have been maintained: N deficiency (N0), low N supply (N1) and high N supply (N2). We analysed data from years 8 and 10 of this experiment for two common hybrids. Under N deficiency, maize plants maintained LA and decreased SLN during vegetative stages, while both LA and SLN decreased comparably during reproductive stages. Canopy SLA (specific leaf area, cm2 g–1) decreased sharply during vegetative stages and slightly during reproductive stages, mainly because senesced leaves in the lower canopy had a higher SLA. In the vegetative stage, maize maintained LA at low N by maintaining leaf biomass (albeit hence having N content/mass) and slightly increasing SLA. These responses to N deficiency were stronger in maize hybrid XY335 than in ZD958. We conclude that the main strategy of maize to cope with low N is to maintain LA, mainly by increasing SLA throughout the plant but only during the vegetative growth phase. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

As an important ecosystem service, water supply is closely related to human well-being. Maintaining the balance of water supply and demand is essential in the sustainable development of a regional economy and society. Taking western Jilin, where the difference between water supply and demand is increasingly prominent, as the research object, from the perspective of land consolidation and precipitation changes, this paper analyzes the temporal and spatial changes of water resources supply and demand at the regional and county scales in western Jilin from 2000 to 2018 by the InVEST model and the water resource demand model. The results show that water production in western Jilin did not change significantly before and after land consolidation. The change in planting structure made water demand increase from 3.03 billion m3 to 4.96 billion m3, which reversed the relationship between supply and demand. The impact of precipitation changes on water production is extremely significant. The annual production of water in wet years is 8.05 billion m3, and the annual water production in dry years is 1.08 billion m3. The amount of precipitation can directly change the relationship between the supply and demand of local water resources. The evolution of the water resources supply and demand pattern in western Jilin is the result of the combined effect of land consolidation and precipitation changes. In recent years, the conversion of saline-alkali land to rice fields has become the most dominant land use change feature in western Jilin, leading to significant surface greening. Saline–alkali land and paddy fields have distinct surface biophysical properties; however, there is a lack of systematic assessment of the moderating effect of planting rice on saline–alkali land on regional climate by changing surface properties. In this paper, multiscale data on the surface temperature of saline–alkali land and paddy fields were obtained using 1 km MODIS product, 30 m Landsat 8 satellite imagery and centimeter-scale UAV imagery in Da'an City, western Jilin as the study area, and the various characteristics of the surface temperature of saline-alkali land and paddy fields in different months of the year and at different times of the day were analyzed. Furthermore, the effect of rice cultivation in saline–alkali land on the local surface temperature was assessed using a space-for-time approach. The results based on satellite observations including both MODIS and Landsat showed that the surface temperature of saline–alkali land was significantly higher than that of paddy fields during the crop growing season, especially in July and August. The high temporal resolution MODIS LST data also indicated the paddy fields cool the daytime surface temperature, while warming the nighttime surface temperature, which was in contrast for saline–alkali land during the growing season. High-resolution UAV observations in July confirmed that the cooling effect of paddy fields was most significant at the middle of day. From the biophysical perspective, the reclamation of saline–alkali land into paddy fields leads to an increase in leaf area index, followed by a significant increase in evapotranspiration. Meanwhile, rice cultivation in saline–alkali land reduces surface albedo and increases surface net radiation. The trade-off relationship between the two determines the seasonal difference in the surface temperature response of saline–alkali land for rice cultivation. At the same time, the daily cycle of crop evapotranspiration and the thermal insulation effect of paddy fields at night are the main reasons for the intraday difference in surface temperature between saline–alkali land and paddy field. Based on the multiscale assessment of the impact of rice cultivation in saline-alkali land on surface temperature, this study provides a scientific basis for predicting future regional climate change and comprehensively understanding the ecological and environmental benefits of saline–alkali land development. There are still some problems in China's ice and snow environmental sports industry, such as an unbalanced industrial structure and insufficient utilization of ecological resources. In order to achieve leap-forward development, the ice and snow sports industry needs to further optimize the allocation of input-output resources, enhance the overall technical capability, and improve the efficiency level of the industry. This study takes five cities of Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, and Beijing as the research objects, constructs the input-output evaluation system of the ice-snow sports industry, measures the input-output-efficiency level of ice-snow environmental sports industry in China, and studies and analyzes the relationship between efficiency level and industrial input-output. Furthermore, this paper compares and analyzes the traditional total factor productivity and green total factor productivity of the ice and snow environmental sports industry and discusses the influencing mechanism of ecosystem efficiency of the ice-snow sports industry. The results show that the input/output ratio of different regions in 2018 was Heilongjiang (1.12) > Liaoning (1.09) > Beijing (1.08) > Hebei (1.06) > Jilin (0.81). The change in input and output level is the direct influencing factor leading to the change of efficiency, while efficiency is the core to promote the development of the ice and snow environmental sports industry. Comparing traditional and green total factor productivity, it can be found that the GameMaker Language (GML) index of green total factor productivity in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, and Beijing has increased by 10.50%, 9.59%, 12.22%, 11.34%, and 20.29%, respectively, in 2013. In most cases, the green total factor productivity is higher than the traditional total factor productivity, showing an environment-friendly development. The development of the ice and snow environmental sports industry, talents in the ice and snow tourism industry, urbanization level and promotion of sports cultural products in the ice and snow environment are the main external influencing factors, while the internal influencing factors are mainly reflected in the industrial structure, ownership structure, industrial relevance, industrial agglomeration degree, industrial layout, industrial scale, and differentiation of industrial product. The concept of Ecosystem Service Value (ESV) is indispensable when balancing the need for economic development and ecological protection, because it can clarify the ecological assets and values provided by a region. The study of spatio-temporal variation of ESV in ecologically fragile regions is helpful when attempting to restore regional ecological function. Taking the ecologically fragile area in Western Jilin as an example, this paper analyzes the spatial distribution and spatial-temporal evolution characteristics of the integrated ecosystem service value (IESV) in the study area by constructing an IESV model. The drivers of spatial differentiation of integrated ESV in the study area and the mechanisms controlling the interaction between various factors are examined using the geographical detector technique. The results showed that the areas of high value with integrated ecosystem services in Western Jilin were mainly distributed in protected areas, and that there has been a downward trend in the past 23 years. Moreover, the explanatory ability of NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) was strongest of any of the natural factors considered. Among the socio-economic factors, the explanatory power of the human activity index (HAI) was greatest. Additionally, the interaction between natural factors and socio-economic factors exhibits synergistic enhancement, which affects the degree of spatial differentiation of IESV. The spatio-temporal variation in IESV is the result of the joint action between human activities and natural factors. The optical remote sensing images not only have to make a fundamental tradeoff between the spatial and spectral resolutions, but also are inevitable to be polluted by the clouds; however, the existing pansharpening methods mainly focus on the resolution enhancement of the optical remote sensing images without cloud contamination. How to fuse the cloud-contaminated images to achieve the joint resolution enhancement and cloud removal is a promising and challenging work. In this paper, a pansharpening method for the challenging cloud-contaminated very high-resolution remote sensing images is proposed. Furthermore, the cloud-contaminated conditions for the practical observations with all the thick clouds, the thin clouds, the haze, and the cloud shadows are comprehensively considered. In the proposed methods, a two-step fusion framework based on multisource and multitemporal observations is presented: 1) the thin clouds, the haze, and the light cloud shadows are proposed to be first jointly removed and 2) a variational-based integrated fusion model is then proposed to achieve the joint resolution enhancement and missing information reconstruction for the thick clouds and dark cloud shadows. Through the proposed fusion method, a promising cloud-free fused image with both high spatial and high spectral resolutions can be obtained. To comprehensively test and verify the proposed method, the experiments were implemented based on both the cloud-free and cloud-contaminated images, and a number of different remote sensing satellites including the IKONOS, the QuickBird, the Jilin (JL)-1, and the Deimos-2 images were utilized. Mastering the spatial distribution of water retention capacity and scientifically delineating the ecological space for water conservation are of great significance to the management of regional land and water resources. In this paper, a water conservation ecological spatial delimitation framework suitable for water-deficient areas was put forward. The water retention capacity of the study area in 1983, 1990, 2000, 2010, and 2016 was evaluated by using the InVEST Water Yield model and water balance method, respectively. On this basis, a flexible inflection point model based on the contribution degree of functional units was established. Then the ecological space for water conservation was delimited. The framework was applied to the delimitation of the key water conservation areas in Jilin province, China. The results showed that: (1) the spatial distribution pattern of water conservation in Jilin province gradually decreased from east to west. The spatial difference was significant. The maximum value of water conservation in Jilin province was 730 mm. From 1983 to 2016, water conservation, which accounted for 75.71% of the area, showed an upward trend. The overall water retention capacity showed the characteristics of the overall increase and the local decline. (2) From the absolute amount of the effect of unit area change on water conservation, the intensity from the high to the low was forestland, cultivated land, grassland, unused land, buildings, and water. (3) The area of water conservation less than 474 mm accounted for more than 80% of the total study area. The overall water retention capacity was low. High importance ecological space area of water conservation was comprehensively defined as 36.97%, which was mainly distributed in the natural forest area of Changbai Mountain in the east and the south of Song Liao Plain. Therefore, this study provided a basic layout of relatively concentrated ecological spatial distribution for water conservation types at different levels in Jilin province. Auricularia auricula is a kind of nutrient-rich edible fungus, which has the reputation of "king of vegetarians." In this paper, the electronic nose combined with GC-MS technology was used to analyze the volatile components of A. auricula in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Shanghai, and Sichuan provinces to investigate the differences and characteristics of A. auricula in different origins. The results showed that the electronic nose could obviously distinguish the samples from Jilin and Shanghai with a high degree of discrimination, while it was inappropriate to distinguish the samples from Heilongjiang and Sichuan Province. GC-MS was used to further analyze the volatile compounds in A. auricula qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that 98 volatile components were detected and 23 of them were common components, including alcohols, aldehydes, acids, esters, hydrocarbons, and other volatile components. The relative content of acetic acid and diethyl azodicarboxylate in A. auricula from the four origins was relatively high. According to the relative odor activity value (ROAV), it was found that the key compounds that caused the aroma difference between different origins were 1-octene-3-ol, cis-3-nonene-1-ol, (E)-2-octenal, (E)-2-nonenal, (E,E)-2,4-nonadienal, and 3-methyl butanal. The unique black soil resources and natural environment of Jilin province provide the proper conditions for the growth of ginseng-the king of herb. Ginseng industry has effectively promoted the development of medical and health industry, and brought considerable economic income for ginseng farmers. However, long-term continuous cropping of ginseng causes the chemical, biological, and physical properties deterioration of soil, which influences the yield and the quanlity of ginseng, and results in the occurrence of replant obstacle. Identifying the malignant soil factors in continuous cropping obstacles, then analyzing the evolution process, and putting forward the improvement strategies is the primary task of ginseng research at present. This paper reviews the influence of ginseng cultivation on the physicochemical property, nutrient, enzyme activity, microecology and ecotoxicity of the soil, and the achievements of improving ginseng soil by chemical and biological techniques and methods in recent 10 years. In seasonally frozen areas, physical and mechanical soil properties change dynamically under the effect of the freeze-thaw cycles (FTCs), which is a problem that cannot be ignored in geotechnical engineering. In order to study the effect of the FTC on the strength and the mechanism of deformation and failure of saline soil, this paper took Nong'an saline soil as the research object. In total, 105 groups of remolded samples with different salt contents (S) after FTCs were examined in unconsolidated-undrained tests. On the basis of the experiment results, the influence of FTCs on the mechanical properties of Nong'an saline soil was analyzed. The failure principal stress difference (σ1 − σ3)f and cohesion (c) were both decreased with FTC. This occurred especially rapidly after the first cycle and became stable between 30 and 60 cycles. The internal friction angle φ increased at first and then decreased. According to experimental data, a modified Duncan-Chang model was established. Compared with the experiment results, this model was reasonable to simulate the stress-strain relationship of Nong'an saline soil. Furthermore, the empirical formulas of Duncan-Chang model parameters were obtained by regression analysis. During tunneling processes, disc cutters of a tunnel boring machine (TBM) usually need to be frequently and unexpectedly replaced. Regular inspections are needed to check disc cutters' status, which significantly reduces the work efficiency and increases the cost. This paper proposes a new prediction model based on TBM operational parameters and geological conditions that determines whether disc cutter replacement is needed. Firstly, an evaluation criterion for whether the cutters need to be replaced is constructed. Secondly, specific parameters related to the evaluation criterion are analyzed and 18 features are established on tunneling monitoring information. Then, the mapping model between the cutter replacement judgement and the established features is built based on a kernel support vector machine (KSVM). Finally, the data obtained from a Jilin water transport tunnel project is utilized to verify the performance of the proposed model. Test results show that the new model can obtain an average accuracy of 90.0% and an average F1 score of 86.2% on field data prediction based on data from past tunneling days. Therefore, the proposed data-predictive model can be used in tunneling to accurately predict whether disc cutters need to be replaced before human judgment, and thereby greatly improve tunneling safety and efficiency. The external environment in the transitional zone of the ecological barrier is fragile, and economic growth has resulted in a series of land degradation issues, significantly impacting regional economic development and the ecological environment. Therefore, monitoring, assessing, and predicting land use changes are crucial for ecological security and sustainable development. This study developed an integrated model comprising convolutional neural network, cellular automata, and Markov chain to forecast the land use status of western Jilin, located in the transitional zone of the ecological barrier, by the year 2030. Additionally, the study evaluated the role of land use policies in the context of land use changes in western Jilin. The findings demonstrate that the coupled modeling approach exhibits excellent predictive performance for land use prediction in western Jilin, yielding a Kappa coefficient of 93.26%. Policy drivers play a significant role in shaping land use patterns in western Jilin, as evidenced by the declining farmland accompanied by improved land utilization, the sustained high levels of forest aligning with sustainable development strategies, the ongoing restoration of waters and grassland, which are expected to show positive growth by 2030, and the steady growth in built-up areas. Mastering the lodging risk of planting environment is of great significance to the optimal layout of maize varieties and the breeding of lodging resistant varieties. However, the existing lodging risk models are still at the stage of single or multi-factors independent analysis, and lack of assessment for different lodging types. To address this issue, based on the mechanism of different lodging types, the Archimedean copula function was used to describe the joint probability distribution of wind speed and precipitation, and the lodging risk assessment model of maize was established. By comparing the goodness of fit, when the rank correlation coefficient of these two is positive and negative, the corresponding optimal joint probability distribution functions are the Gumbel copula and Frank copula. According to the spatial distribution of lodging risk, the area from Liaodong Bay northward to Tongyu, Jilin province in the Northeast and the North China Plain has a high frequency of lodging, in which the probability of stalk lodging is two to four times that of root lodging. Finally, we discussed how to apply the lodging risk distribution results to optimize the maize variety test sites to improve the efficiency and reliability of the existing test system. Purpose: This study aimed to translate and cross-culturally adapt the cardiac rehabilitation barriers scale to the Chinese, and examine its reliability and validity among the older population. Methods: An approach comprising translation, cultural adaptation, reliability, and validity examination in the Chinese version was conducted in two hospitals in Jilin, China. The t-tests were used to compare the sex differences between each item. Participants included Chinese individuals > 60 who were eligible for the cardiac rehabilitation program. Results: In total, 325 participants completed the questionnaire with an average age of 61.23 ±  9.68 years. The item-total correlations were 0.432 to 0.678. Factor analysis of CRBS-C (Kaiser Meyer Olkin = 0.867, Bartlett's test p = 0.000) revealed four factors: logistical factors, comorbidities/functional status, perceived need/healthcare factors, and work/time conflict. The confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) indicated a good model fit (χ 2/df = 1.84, RMSEA = 0.051, CFI = 0.953, TLI = 0.945, SRMR=0.046). Cronbach's alpha was 0.88 for the scale, ranging from 0.801 to 0.88 for each item, which indicates the internal reliability was acceptable. Vaccinium corymbosum L., commonly known as blueberry, is a valuable small fruit tree in terms of its economic significance and is primarily found in China within the regions of Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces. Additionally, it thrives in the areas spanning the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Beyond their economic value, blueberries play a crucial role within forest ecosystems, serving as a significant energy source and source of nutrients. Their presence contributes significantly to fostering stability, enhancing biodiversity, and acting as an indicator of environmental quality within forest ecosystems. Since August 2022, an unknown leaf disease has been found on a large scale in blueberry fields in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. The disease causes leaf curling, wilting, and even early defoliation, severely reducing the yield and production value of blueberries. The pathogenicity test confirmed the virulence of the isolates (NG5-1, NG5-2, NG5-3, NG5-4, N2-1, and N2-2) against V. corymbosum. The two pathogens were identified as Colletotrichum fructicola and C. aenigma by observing the morphological characteristics of the isolates and combined with multilocus phylogenetic analyses (ITS, CAL, ACT, TUB2, ApMat, and GAPDH). Blueberry anthracnose, caused by C. aenigma, is the first report of this disease in China. The biological characteristics of C. aenigma were investigated under different conditions, including temperature, pH, light conditions, culture medium, and carbon and nitrogen sources. The optimal temperature for growth was determined to be within the range of 25–30 °C; C. aenigma exhibits optimal growth at a pH of 7–8. Mycelial growth is favored under conditions of partial light, whereas complete darkness promotes spore production. It was found that PDA medium was the most favorable medium for C. aenigma mycelial growth, and MM medium was the best medium for spore production; the most suitable carbon sources for colony growth and spore production were sorbitol and glucose, respectively, and the most suitable nitrogen source was peptone. Differentiated nitrogen (N) application styles and dosages can directly affect crop yield and planting costs. To maximize the efficiency of N fertilizer utilization and solve the problem of increasing production without increasing income, the Decision Support Systems for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT) model was used in this study to carry out experiments simulating different N application styles and dosages for potatoes at 15 meteorological observation stations in the northeast region of China during 2013–2017. The present study aims to analyze the relationship among yield, cost, and net gains under different N fertilizer management scenarios by combining the cost-benefit method. The main conclusions are as follows: (1) the staged and incremental application of N fertilizer during the potato growth period can promote a yield increase. The lowest yield was achieved by a one-time basal application of N fertilizer at sowing, and the highest yield was observed when N fertilizer was applied in a 1:1 ratio at sowing and the end of tuber formation, respectively. (2) The range for N fertilizer application to achieve the highest potato yield at each station is 275–330 kg·ha−1. (3) The highest potato yield under sufficient N application treatments did not correspond to the highest net gains. Potato net gains at all stations showed an increasing-then-decreasing trend with the increase in N application. The highest gains were obtained when 220 kg·ha−1, 220 kg·ha−1, and 275 kg·ha−1 of N fertilizer were applied in a 1:1 ratio as a basal fertilizer and supplementary fertilizer at sowing, and the end of tuber formation in Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning provinces, respectively. This study provides a reference program for potato planting with the highest benefits for regional governments, farmers, and enterprises and aims to improve the status quo of potato planting, increasing production without increasing income. Fine classification of wetland vegetation communities using machine learning algorithm and high spatial resolution images have attracted increased attention. However, there exist several challenges in image fusion, data dimension reduction and algorithm tuning. To resolve these issues, this paper attempts to fuse Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) images with spaceborne Jilin-1 (JL101K) multispectral images for classifying vegetation communities of karst wetland using the optimized Random Forest (RF), Extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost) and Light Gradient Boosting (LightGBM) algorithms. This study also quantitatively evaluates image fusion quality from spatial detail and spectral fidelity, and explores the effects of different image feature combinations and classifiers on mapping vegetation communities by variable selection and dimensionality reduction. Finally, this paper further evaluates and quantifies the importance and contribution rate of feature variables for typical vegetation communities using Recursive feature elimination (RFE) algorithm. The results showed that: (1) the Gram-Schmidt (GS)algorithm produced the high-quality fusion image of JL101K and UAV, and the fusion image achieved higher overall accuracy (82.8%) than the original JL101K multispectral image; (2) UAV multispectral image and its derivatives (scheme 3) achieved the highest overall accuracy (87.8%) in all classification schemes; (3) The optimized object-based LightGBM algorithm outperformed XGBoost and RF algorithm, which provided an improvement of 0.6%∼3.5% in overall accuracy (OA). McNemar's test indicated that there existed significant differences in vegetation communities' classification between the three algorithms. In recent years, most multibeam echo sounders (MBESs) have been able to collect water column image (WCI) data while performing seabed topography measurements, providing effective data sources for gas-leakage detection. However, there can be systematic (e.g., sidelobe interference) or natural disturbances in the images, which may introduce challenges for automatic detection of gas leaks. In this paper, we design two data-processing schemes to estimate motion velocities based on the Farneback optical flow principle according to types of WCIs, including time-angle and depth-across track images. Moreover, by combining the estimated motion velocities with the amplitudes of the image pixels, several decision thresholds are used to eliminate interferences, such as the seabed, non-gas backscatters in the water column, etc. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed method, we simulated the scenarios of pipeline leakage in a pool and the Songhua Lake, Jilin Province, China, and used a HT300 PA MBES (it was developed by Harbin Engineering University and its operating frequency is 300 kHz) to collect acoustic data in static and dynamic conditions. Aspergillus, as a genus of filamentous fungi, has members that display a variety of different behavioural strategies, which are affected by various environmental factors. The decoded genomic sequences of many species vary greatly in their evolutionary similarities, encouraging studies on the functions and evolution of the Aspergillus genome in complex natural environments. Here, we present the 26 Mb de novo assembled high-quality reference genome of Aspergillus glaucus 'China Changchun halophilic Aspergillus' (CCHA), which was isolated from the surface of plants growing near a salt mine in Jilin, China, based on data from whole-genome shotgun sequencing using Illumina Solexa technology. The sequence, coupled with data from comprehensive transcriptomic survey analyses, indicated that the redox state and transmembrane transport might be critical molecular mechanisms for the adaptation of A. glaucus 'CCHA' to the high-salt environment of the saltern. The isolation of salt tolerance-related genes, such as CCHA-2114, and their overexpression in Escherichia coli demonstrated that A. glucus 'CCHA' is an excellent organism for the isolation and identification of salt tolerant-related genes. These data expand our understanding of the evolution and functions of fungal and microbial genomes, and offer multiple target genes for crop salt-tolerance improvement through genetic engineering. • A meso-microscale coupling model is applied to a real onshore wind farm. • The atmospheric stability is introduced and refined in the multi-scale coupling process. • The wind flow data is simulated throughout the year with a resolution of 1 h. • Downscaling simulation is performed using mesoscale data from three different heights. The abundance level of wind resources is the first and most important factor to consider in the wind farm design. The accuracy of wind energy resource assessment directly determines the operating income of a wind farm after its construction is completed. Therefore, aiming to meet the requirements of accurate wind resource assessment in areas with a complex terrain or those lacking the observation information, this paper proposes a multi-scale coupling numerical simulation method based on atmospheric stability. First, the atmospheric flow field simulation results at the heights of 200 m, 300 m, and 400 m are extracted from the mesoscale Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model and used as inlet boundary conditions of a microscale Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model. Then, to obtain more accurate coupling data at the height of a wind turbine hub, the atmospheric stability parameter is introduced into the multi-scale coupling process, data correction is conducted at the three heights, and a comparison with the observation data of a wind tower is made. Finally, a numerical analysis is conducted using real data of a wind farm in eastern Inner Mongolia and Jilin. The analysis results show that the proposed method can improve the assessing accuracy of wind resources of wind farms using mesoscale data, which is valuable to a certain extent in real-world applications. With the increase in traffic load, the rutting problem of bitumen pavement appears more and more frequently, and the shear resistance of pavement has attracted more and more attention. A polymer-modified bituminous mixture is usually used to solve the problem of insufficient shear resistance in bitumen pavement. However, there are many polymer modifiers for bituminous mixture, which lead to different performances of the modified bituminous mixtures. Currently, the modification methods cannot obtain a bituminous mixture having all types of performance simultaneously. Therefore, considering the different performances and economics of modified bituminous mixtures, it is necessary to determine an optimal modification method for bitumen pavement. This study used a toll plaza in Jilin province, which is a seasonally frozen region. On this section of road, vehicles start and brake at high frequency, and the bitumen middle course suffers from large shearing forces. Therefore, permanent deformation is the main form of failure. In addition, low-temperature cracking of the bitumen pavement is also a very severe issue in this region. Four kinds of bituminous mixture modification schemes were selected and tested, and the pavement performance of these modified bituminous mixtures was evaluated. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to quantitatively evaluate the performance level of bituminous mixtures according to fuzzy logic theory. Using the actual situation of the bituminous mixture used in the toll plaza, and based on the analytic hierarchy process method, the weight matrix of each service attribute was established. Here, the weight of each index was calculated by combining the entropy weight (EW) method, reducing the influence of subjective factors. According to the evaluation result of the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, it could be seen that the modified bituminous mixture (70#+M) had the best overall performance compared to the other bituminous mixtures. The stress path is a critical factor affecting the mechanical properties of saline soils. In order to study the mechanical properties of saline soils under different stress paths, in situ saline soils in the Qian'an area of western Jilin province were selected for this study, and triaxial shear tests under six different stress paths were conducted, including the consolidated undrained triaxial test under the conventional stress path under the isobaric consolidation condition; the consolidated drained triaxial test under the conventional, equal p, reduced p, and increased p stress paths under the isobaric consolidation condition; and the consolidated drained triaxial test under the conventional stress path under the K0 consolidation condition. The effects of the consolidation conditions, drainage conditions, and stress paths on the mechanical properties of in situ saline soils were investigated. The results reveal that the stress–strain relationship curves of soil samples decrease continuously in the order of increased p, conventional, equal p, and decreased p, and they all show the characteristics of strain hardening. The stress path curves have the same slope under the same stress path. For different confining pressures, only the relative positions of the curves are different. Under the conventional stress path, the slope is 1; under the increased p stress path, the slope is 1/3; under the equal p stress path, the slope is 3; and under the decreased p stress path, the slope of the curve is −1. For the same confining pressure, the magnitude relationships of shear strength under the different stress paths are as follows: increased p > conventional > equal p > decreased p. For the cohesion c and internal friction angle φ, the consolidation condition has a greater effect on the cohesion c and a smaller effect on the internal friction angle φ; the drainage condition has a smaller effect on the cohesion c and a larger effect on the internal friction angle φ; and the stress paths have a greater effect on both cohesion c and internal friction angle φ. Maize is a crucial cereal crop in China, serving both as a staple food and an essential industrial resource. Northern corn leaf blight (NCLB) is a disease of corn caused by a fungus, Exserohilum turcicum (sexual stage Setosphaeria turcica). This study aimed to assess the biocontrol potential of various Trichoderma strains against Exserohilum turcicum 101 in Jilin, China. Through dual culture tests, the Trichoderma strains were categorized into four groups based on their antagonistic abilities. Eleven Trichoderma strains exhibited strong antagonistic behavior, with comparable or faster growth rates than E. turcicum 101. Microscopic observations confirmed that T. asperellum 576 hyphae effectively encircled E. turcicum 101 hyphae, reinforcing their antagonistic behavior. The production of non-volatile and volatile substances by the Trichoderma strains was evaluated, with T. asperellum 576 showing the highest potency in producing non-volatile and volatile substances, leading to an impressive 80.81% and 65.86% inhibition of E. turcicum 101 growth. Remarkably, co-culture suspensions of T. asperellum 576 + E. turcicum 101 and T. atroviride 393 + E. turcicum 101 exhibited strong antifungal activity. Furthermore, the activities of chitinase, β-1.3-glucanase, and cellulase were evaluated using the 3, 5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) method. T. asperellum 576 + E. turcicum 101 displayed stronger cell wall degradation enzyme activity compared to T. atroviride 393 + E. turcicum 101, with values of 8.34 U/mL, 3.42 U/mL, and 7.75 U/mL, respectively. In greenhouse conditions, the application of a 107 spores/mL conidia suspension of T. asperellum 576 significantly enhanced maize seed germination and plant growth while effectively suppressing E. turcicum 101 infection. Maize seedlings inoculated/treated with both E. turcicum 101 and T. asperellum 576 demonstrated substantial improvements compared to those inoculated solely with E. turcicum 101. The T. asperellum 576 treatment involved a 107 spores/mL conidia suspension applied through a combination of foliar spray and soil drench. These findings highlight T. asperellum 576 as a promising biocontrol candidate against northern leaf blight in maize. Its antagonistic behavior, production of inhibitory compounds, and promotion of plant growth all contribute to its potential as an effective biocontrol agent for disease management. The Late Palaeozoic Solonker‐Xar Moron‐Changchun‐Yanji Suture (SXCYS) is considered to mark the location of the final closure of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean, which separated the North China Craton to the south and the amalgamated blocks to the north in Northeast China. There has always been controversy about its eastern extension in Northeast China and the final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean. To explore this issue, we collected gabbro and quartz‐diorite samples in the Hunchun area for the genesis of mafic magma and age dating, and five groups of Permian to Triassic sandstones belonging to both sides of the potential suture locations in the middle and east Jilin Province for the provenance analysis to discuss the final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean and the possible positions of the eastward termination of the SXCYS. The gabbro reveals a Middle Permian concordia average age of 266.9 ± 5.2 Ma, and the quartz diorite reveals a Late Permian Concordia average age of 258.8 ± 4.8 Ma. Lithological and geochemical analysis reveal the two rock samples belong to low‐K arc tholeiites from the oceanic island and calk‐alkaline volcanics from the active continental margin, respectively, which implies that during the middle to late Permian, the SW margin of the Jiamusi–Khanka Block (JB) continuously experienced the subduction process from the Paleo‐Asian Ocean Plate. The final closure time of the Paleo‐Asian Ocean should be later than the Late Permian. Meanwhile, four groups of sandstone from the east Jilin reveal typically Jiamusi–Mongolia Block (JMB) provenance features, with age components of ~500 Ma, ~0.9–1.5 Ga implying that the Wangqing, Hunchun, Kaishantun area belongs to the northern part of the SXCYS from late Early Permian to Middle Triassic, with youngest age components of 288.2 ± 2.8, 275.5 ± 1.8, 250 ± 1.7, and 244.9 ± 1.7 Ma, respectively. The late Early Permian sandstone from the middle Jilin reveals the youngest age component of 273.8 ± 3.4 Ma and the age component of 487 ± 3 Ma also revealing JMB feature. Comparing to previous studies, we propose that the Paleo‐Asian Ocean finally closed during Middle to Late Triassic. A possible ENE fault separates the eastern extension of SXCYS into two parts, which means the possible position of the eastward extension of the SXCYS should go along the Wangqing‐Kaishantun with NNW direction in the west, Hunchun‐Laoheishan with NW direction in the east. In many nations, efforts to prevent and control COVID-19 have been significantly impeded by the SARS-CoV-2 virus ongoing mutation. The Omicron strain, a more recent and prevalent strain, has had more significant detrimental effects in countries worldwide. To investigate the impact of the Omicron BA.2 strain on vaccine efficacy, we proposed a model with vaccination and immunological decline in this research. Then, we fitted our model based on the number of daily new instances reported by the government in Jilin and Shanghai, China. We estimated the effective reproduction number Re = 4.71 for the Jilin and Re = 3.32 for Shanghai. Additionally, we do sensitivity analysis to identify the critical factors affecting the effective reproduction number Re. It was found that vaccination rate, effectiveness rate, and declining rate had a significant effect on Re. Further, we investigate the relevant parameter thresholds that make Re lower than unity. Finally, rich numerical experiments were then carried out. We observed that even when vaccine efficiency was not high, increasing vaccination rates had a significant effect on early disease transmission, that limiting social distance was the most economical and rational measure to control the spread of disease, and that for a short period, reducing immune decline was not significant in curbing disease transmission. For very-high-resolution (VHR) remote sensing images with complex objects and rich textural information, multi-difference image fusion has been proven as an effective method to improve the performance of change detection. However, errors are superimposed during this process and a single spectral feature cannot fully utilize the correlation between pixels, resulting in low robustness. To overcome these problems and optimize the performance of multi-difference image fusion in change detection, we propose a novel multi-difference image fusion change detection method based on a visual attention model (VA-MDCD). First, we construct difference images using change vector analysis (CVA) and spectral gradient difference (SGD). Second, we use the visual attention model to calculate multiple color, intensity and orientation features of the difference images to obtain the difference saliency images. Third, we use the wavelet transform fusion algorithm to fuse two saliency images. Finally, we execute the OTSU threshold segmentation algorithm (OTSU) to obtain the final change detection map. To validate the effectiveness of VA-MDCD on VHR images, two datasets of Jilin 1 and Beijing 2 are selected for experiments. Compared with classical methods, the proposed method has a better performance with fewer missed alarms (MA) and false alarms (FA), which proves that the method has a strong robustness and generalization ability. The F-measure of the two datasets is 0.6671 and 0.7313, respectively. There are complex pore structures in shale reservoirs, and the nonlinear flow characteristics of shale reservoirs are complicated by stress sensitivity and boundary layer effects. In this research, a new flow mathematical model was established based on capillary model, stress sensitivity and boundary layer effect. The model was verified by the experimental results of Jilin shale oil reservoir, and the influencing factors of flow characteristics were analyzed. The results show that the new shale oil flow model has good fitting and high reliability with the experimental results. The boundary layer effect and stress sensitivity are the main factors affecting the seepage characteristics. With the increase in the pressure gradient, the influence of the boundary layer effect on the flow is gradually enhanced, and the influence of the stress sensitivity on the flow is gradually weakened. At the same time, this study developed a method for the evaluation of effective displacement distance of shale oil reservoir with CO2 injection through the limited injection-production well spacing method, and obtained the nonlinear flow curve of displacement distance with reservoir permeability under different injection and production pressure difference. The perennial herbal medicine species Aconitum tschangbaischanense, is endemic to Changhai Mountain, Jilin province. In this study, we attempted to uncover the complete chloroplast (cp) genome of A. tschangbaischanense based on sequencing data using the Illumina sequencing technology. As per the results: (1) the length of its complete cp genome is 155,881 bp with a typical tetrad structure; (2) the structure of its cp genome contains large single-copy and small single-copy (LSC and SSC) regions of 86,351 and 16,9444 bp, respectively, isolated by two inverted repeat regions (IRs) of 26,293 bp; (3) we annotated a total 131 genes, consisting of 86 protein-coding genes, eight rRNA genes, and 37 tRNA genes. According to the maximum-likelihood phylogenetic tree based on complete cp genomes, A. tschangbaischanense, showed close association with A. carmichaelii, which belongs to clade I. Renewable energy is the inevitable choice for the sustainable development of society and economy. How to select the most appropriate renewable energy for a region is a complex multi-criterion decision making (MCDM) problem. Taking Jilin Province as an example, this paper proposes a new MCDM method. In order to better express the hesitancy, inconsistency and uncertainty of decision makers’ preferences, linguistic hesitant fuzzy set (LHFS) is proposed. On the basis of cloud model, the rule of transforming LHFS to quantitative values is defined. Subsequently, the distance measure and support measure are established. In consideration of the interdependency of criteria, an LHFS aggregation operator based on improved Choquet integral is proposed. Finally, the ranking result of the aggregated LHFS corresponding to each renewable energy alternative is obtained according to the expectation values. The result shows that the preferred renewable energy for Jilin is biomass energy, followed by wind energy, hydro energy and solar energy. Panax ginseng is a valuable medicinal herb of the Araliaceae family with various pharmacological activities. The Trihelix transcription factors family is involved in growth and secondary metabolic processes in plants, but no studies have been reported on the involvement of Trihelix genes in secondary metabolic processes in ginseng. In this study, weighted co-expression network analysis, correlation analysis between PgGTs and ginsenosides and key enzyme genes, and interaction network analysis between PgGTs and key enzyme genes were used to screen out the PgGT25-04 gene, which was negatively correlated with ginsenoside synthesis. Using ABA treatment of ginseng hair roots, PgGT genes were found to respond to ABA signals. Analysis of the sequence characteristics and expression pattern of the PgGT25-04 gene in ginseng revealed that its expression is spatiotemporally specific. The interfering vector pBI121-PgGT25-04 containing the PgGT25-04 gene was constructed, and the ginseng adventitious roots were transformed using the Agrobacterium-mediated method to obtain the pBI121-PgGT25-04 positive hairy root monocot line. The saponin contents of positive ginseng hair roots were measured by HPLC, and the changes in PgGT25-04 and key enzyme genes in positive ginseng hair roots were detected via fluorescence quantitative RT-PCR. These results preliminarily identified the role of the PgGT25-04 gene in the secondary metabolism of ginseng in Jilin to provide a theoretical basis for the study of Trihelix transcription factors in Panax ginseng. Drought and floods affect the growth and yield of maize, affecting food security. Therefore, it is crucial to assess maize's drought and waterlogging status in various growth stages. We used phenological and daily meteorological data and spatial analysis to identify the drought and waterlogging conditions of spring maize in Northeast China in eight growth stages. We calculated the crop water surplus/deficit index and used the national standard for maize drought and waterlogging. The results indicate a significant decreasing trend of effective precipitation in Northeast China. The maize's water requirements changed during the growing period. The ranking of the daily water requirements of maize from high to low in the different growth stages was the flowering stage to the silking stage (6.9 mm/d), the tasseling stage to the flowering stage (6.1 mm/d), the jointing stage to the tasseling stage (4.9 mm/d), the seven-leaf stage to the jointing stage (3.4 mm/d), the silking stage to the harvesting stage (2.0 mm/d), the emergence stage to the three-leaf stage (1.4 mm/d), the three-leaf stage to the seven-leaf stage (1.3 mm/d), and the sowing stage to the emergence stage (1.2 mm/d). Drought occurred primarily in the early growth and development stage, and the most severe drought conditions were observed in the sowing to emergence stages and the emergence to the three-leaf stages in most areas in Northeast China. Waterlogging occurred predominantly in the flowering to the silking stages and the silking to the maturity stages in southeast Liaoning and parts of Jilin. Inner Mongolia had the lowest soil moisture conditions and was unsuitable for maize growth, followed by Heilongjiang, Jilin, and Liaoning. The dominant meteorological factors affecting the drought and waterlogging status of maize in different growth stages were precipitation and wind speed, followed by the minimum temperature, relative humidity, sunshine hours, and maximum temperature. The average temperature did not influence the drought and waterlogging status. The results provide a basis for selecting drought-resistant varieties and preventing waterlogging. In recent years, China and Japan are cooperating in the destruction of the Japanese army abandoned chemical weapons in China (JACWs). During the long-term burial of JACWs, As-containing agents leaked into the environment due to the corrosion of the shell, resulting in soil As pollution. This paper studied the fraction, speciation, and composition of As in the soil polluted by the As-containing agent in Jilin, China. The results showed that As was mainly distributed in the forest soil in the study area, with the highest concentration of 110 mg/kg, and had the trend of migration to the downhill farmland soil. As mainly accumulated in the amorphous Fe/Al oxides bounded fraction and residual states, the proportion of potentially risky fractions in the soil of downhill farmland is higher than that of uphill farmland. The speciation of As in the soil is mainly As(V), with an average content of 25.02 mg/kg. The transformation behavior of As in the horizontal migration of topsoil is mainly the oxidation of As (III). The residual organic As in soil mainly includes 2-chlorovinylarsonic acid, triphenylarsine, phenylarsine oxide, and diphenylarsonic acid. Similar to the influence factors of As, both speciation and organic compounds of As are significantly affected by Fe/Al/Mn-oxides, and degradation and transformation reactions such as redox occur during migration. • As mainly existed in amorphous Fe/Al oxide bound fraction and residual fraction. • The organic-As in soil mainly includes CVAOA, TPA, PAO, and DPAA. • DPAA showed a significant negative correlation with TP, Ca and Mn. After long-term accumulation, weathering and rainfall of metals and non-metals in tailings ponds, the chemical composition will change, and the surface heavy metals may gradually migrate to the bottom layer, thus showing a cumulative effect. At present, the distribution of cyanide and heavy metals in vertical space has not been reported. In this work, 12 sampling points were arranged for a cyanide tailings pond by the grid method in Jilin, China. The contents of cyanide and heavy metals were determined according to the standard method. The results show that the heavy metals in the tailings were mainly Cu, Pb, Zn and Mn (342.83 mg/kg, 571.09 mg/kg, 610.15 mg/kg and 796.63 mg/kg, respectively), and the concentration of heavy metals in the horizontal direction does not change significantly. It should be noted that the concentrations of zinc and manganese did not change much in the vertical direction. The concentration of copper and lead increased with the increase in depth. The concentration of cyanide at the sampling site far away from human activities was higher at 6.71 mg/kg, and the average concentration is 2.5 mg/kg. Examining the effects of climate change on spring maize, and its suitability under dynamic cultivation patterns, will aid strategic decision-making for future agricultural adaptation. This paper investigates the climate suitability of spring maize, based on daily data from 50 meteorological stations, and statistics on maize yield and area at the county level in Jilin Province, China, between 1986 and 2015. Based on a significant correlation between the cultivation patterns indicator ≥10 °C accumulated temperature (AAT10) and the average yield (R2 = 0.503), the yield data are used to determine suitable thresholds for meteorological factors under the dynamic cultivation pattern, and a fuzzy fitness approach is used to evaluate the climate suitability. The results showed a good agreement between suitability estimates and scaled observed yields (average d = 0.705). Moreover, good consistency between cultivation patterns, climate suitability and yield show that the late-maturing varieties of maize have gradually moved northward and eastward, and the areas of high suitability and high yield have gradually expanded eastward.
